The site does cost money each month to upkeep. I don't sell any data, nor do I run any ads - any support you can give to help with the upkeep of things would be greatly appreciated.
There is no max goal for this donation, nor and end point. The rough costs for the site are around 40/50 GBP each month give or take 10 either side depending on the month, there are periods at the start of the year where this does increase significantly due to renewals for the domain and SSL certificates that this site runs off.
The site will remain active and online for as long as I can maintain it. I'm not struggling financially (at least as much as some!) and can maintain this regardless.
With their conversation having finished, Lana had decided to make her way out of the dungeon, new money and ring in tow. She wasn't really sure what to make of both of her companion's revelations to her. Well, with Chris her opinion of him hadn't changed much. He used to be a noble but that was basically all in the past now, so she didn't think there'd be any kind of money pursuing that line of thought and he poisoned someone but she had yet to be on the receiving end of such a prank so that also didn't matter to her. An out of sight out of mind kind of thing. Besides at the end of the day he was still just "Chris," no last name to speak of, her traveling companion and dungeon exploring friend. That was about all she needed to know from him.
Ziun as well seemed trustworthy. After all he wouldn't just talk about a family trying to sabotage them if he was also still working to sabotage them. The thought still unnerved her - well, actually no it more incensed her. The dungeon itself was hard and tiring enough as it was. She hardly needed some rich snobs that knew how to do some magic that could already get as far as they wanted to in the dungeon try to get in her way. She had half a mind to go and complain right to them but that half dwindled rapidly at the thought of personally making an enemy with one of the great families. So she, again, let sleeping dogs lie.
As was customary, the group split up and with nowhere better to go Lana decided to go back to her lodging. The joy of getting the influx of cash had worn off on her as she felt the weight settle into her body. The damage that she had sustained was gone and the exhaustion that the shadows had inflicted upon her was cured away, yet with the effects of her potions wearing off and the adrenaline of the adventuring day subsiding, Lana's body felt heavier than ever. She had hoped that this soreness would eventually go away but her life prior to coming here showed that that was never really case.
The girl made her way back into the church, heaving out a heavy sigh for anyone around to hear as she said, "I'm back." As she continued to walk forward without paying any mind to who was around the girl said, "I swear if I run into some creep with a blood knife or something..."
