Moo took the Gust attack with surprising stoicism for a grass type, but Belle knew that that probably hurt. Moo was just really, really docile. "Okay, Moo, use Vine Whip-pfth on it! Keep-pfth it from flying around!" Belle shouted in-between mouthfuls of sand. The cow let out a low at that, one which was also interrupted by spitting out sand, but it didn't stop the Pokémon from sending out its vines. The Vullaby managed to avoid it at first, retaliating with a Fury Attack on the vines, but was unable to do so on the second round. "Slam it-pfth to the ground now." The cow nodded, having learned its lesson from before, and followed her instruction. Unfortunately, the ground being sand, it was a much softer landing than either Belle or Moo had expected, and with a shake, the bird managed to get itself free. However, it was now grounded. Which meant... "Tackle!" Moo ran forward, but his pace was slowed by the sand, and by the time he reached the Vullaby, it had soared back up into the air. It let out a harsh warble then, Leering down at Moo. Belle crossed her arms in annoyance. This might be a harder fight than I originally thought. But I won't let a stupid birdbrain beat me. I know just the move to use from that one anime. "Moo, use Vine Whip to propel yourself toward the Vullaby!" The Poamoo nodded and lifted itself into the air with its vines, standing on an equal level with the Vullaby before slamming himself into the startled bird. However, it quickly retaliated with a Gust that sent the cow flying. We can't keep this up forever. If only that dumb rat was dependable, then I wouldn't have to use a Pokémon that's weak to flying types!

Ari was too exhausted, injured, and slow to do much more than take the Aura Sphere when it came toward him. Coughing out blood, the Litleo collapsed to the ground then, limbs shaking weakly. He couldn't move. He just couldn't. He watched the others attack the Godslayer with vacant, empty eyes. There's nothing more...I can do. He had done all he could do, but it still wasn't enough. That was just how it was. He wasn't strong enough. Try as he might, he had reached his limit. "Ari...get up." No...I can't. I'm too tired now. "Do not say that. A true king does not say what he cannot do. He finds what he can do. What can you do, Prince Ariel of Pride Rock?" What can I do? I can... "FIGHT!" he shouted, battle spirit rekindled. It wasn't over yet. If he had the energy to give up, to beat himself up, he had the energy to fight still. Limbs creaking, blood streaming from his various wounds, he ran for the Godslayer once more in a Return to the battle. The enemy was distracted by the others around him and was unable to avoid his attack. Or maybe he just didn't care. Either way, Ari couldn't just let it all end like this! -- Easter ground his teeth as he noticed Ankou's speed pick up, ignoring the nagging voice in the back of his head that told him that that wasn't good for his teeth. Eating candy isn't good for them either, but I still eat it! The Sylveon bit back a curse when the Gardevoir began to craft another one of her prisms. Thankfully, before he had to do anything about it, Nine had shattered it with a well-timed Dark Pulse. "Thanks!" he shouted, but Nine had already moved on to his next attack, a Flamethrower meeting the enemy's Thunderbolt. For a second, it looked like the two attacks would meet, but they passed each other by instead. As they fought, Easter took the opportunity to use another Wish, this time on himself. He had noticed himself slowing down a little, and he couldn't let that happen. He would heal himself, and Nine, as many times as he had to if only to take down the maddened woman in front of them. Still, perhaps he should have used it on Nine instead. The Houndoom's breathing had grown ragged, knees buckling from the pain of Ankou's next Thunderbolt. Still, he smiled as he shouted out, "Easter! She's all yours!" "Don't have to tell me twice," the Sylveon responded with a grim smile of his own. Firing up a Moonblast, he aimed it at the Gardevoir. Slowed from her previous attack, the fellow fairy type was unable to avoid the attack, crying out in pain as she began to sink to her own knees. Before she could fully do so, however, she disappeared once more. "Not many people can take many of my Moonblasts, but it turns out she's one of them," Easter clicked his tongue. "Come on, Nine, it looks like we can take her down--" he cut himself off as he threw himself backward. The Gardevoir had teleported directly next to him, so he wasn't able to avoid the entirety of the Psyshock she had directed at him. Wincing from the pain, he shook it off forcibly, running forward the few steps needed before punching the woman in the gut and sending her flying, unsurprised when she disappeared while in mid-air. Now...where is she going to reappear? Easter wondered. His ears twitched as he caught the slightest crackling sound coming from... "Above!" he shouted, flipping backward to avoid the Thunderbolt. Landing on his hands briefly, he swung back into a kick aimed right for the Gardevoir, adding a spin to give it more strength. Unfortunately, the psychic type took advantage of the close range to grant him a Draining Kiss, an attack which was unavoidable. Losing strength in his kick, he flipped off of her to fall to the ground in a three-point landing. Yet once again, Ankou had used Teleport, disappearing from his sight. -- Though Lok's attack had been strengthened by the residual electricity in the surroundings, the speed of the cyclone surrounding Veronica was so high that only a bit of the electricity managed to reach her, most of it bouncing off due to the high winds. However, Taiga's attack, powered by her fast speed, was enough to get through the tornado. Crashing into Veronica and causing the winds to slow as the Crobat was forced to stop her rotations as she was thrown backward against the far wall, slamming through multiple poles, and in the process, destroying them. As she started to slide down, the three could see a crater where her head had Giga Impacted with the wall. However, the Sharpedo did not come out of it unscathed either. The harsh winds, while slower than before, were still enough to send the water type flying from pole to pole like Keanu, and at the end of it, both gijinka would find themselves disoriented, with the wind knocked out of them. Keanu was in an especially poor state. I'm done for, he thought, head spinning. No...more. However, mercifully, he did not find himself attacked during this time. Instead, he could see, out of the corner of his eyes, a flicker of movement as the Crobat dove for the others. Somehow, she was still able to move after that last attack. "You knaves!" Veronica shrieked, materializing a pair of fangs at Taiga and following it up with a second pair aimed toward Lok. "How dare you interrupt my attack!" It was obvious that the usage of the special move combined with Taiga's geyser-powered drill had worn her down significantly. Her hair was still a mess of static, but now windblown on top of it. Her eyes were bloodshot and unfocused, her clothes slightly ripped from the winds as she bled in multiple places, including the back of her head. Her prior graceful movements were now completely gone, replaced by rapid-fire attack after attack, swooping down at Lok now in an erratic Flight right after her Leech Life against him. Keanu knew he had to do something. He had to, but he just couldn't summon the strength. It was like the Lucario fight all over again. He just...wasn't good enough. His fingers crackled with electricity as he attempted to materialize an Electro Ball, but the attack fizzled out into useless sparks immediately afterward. Is this as far as I go? the Alolan Raichu wondered. A flash of orange caught his attention briefly as his eyes fluttered shut. -- In the background, unnoticed by Veronica, a small Fletchling had woken up, rubbing the area of her head where the Crobat had chopped her into unconsciousness. Shaking her head slightly, she looked up, staggering to her feet and tottering toward where Keanu lay.

-April 15th, 2000- -2 PM- -Mission Room, Diluculo Branch 22- "I, uh, have two questions for you, Captain. First, could you maybe possibly not refer to yourself as an older sibling. It makes me feel, um... It makes me uncomfortable, okay?" "Okay, two things! One, can ya not call yourself 'big sis'? Nooooooot a fan of it...and two, how can I score a date with you?" "Aww, but that's how I see myself..." Maddy looked down a little, dejected by Ann and Austin's immediate response, before the last part of it caught her ears, pursing her lips as she replied. "After putting someone down, you'd really ask them out? How shameless..." "...okay chill...it was a joke, so calm yourself down. Actual question: how many other people in the world have these damn powers?" "Mmm, at least you asked a good question to make up for it... But the answer is that we don't really know? The official count is less than 700 right now, but there are many people who manage to fly under the radar, and Id seem to be growing exponentially... All of you are part of what is called 'Id Generation 1.5', and, as we told you earlier, there are around 300 of you that the world is aware of. The first 'Id Generation', the group including the Major and Myself, is slightly older than you, but there were only about 200 of us recruited at the time. Just keep in mind that the less than 700 includes criminals and others that popped up in the past 10 or so years and drew the attention of the higher-ups." "Second, are there any specific rules we should know about?" "Mmm... Nothing special. As your commanding officer, the Major can add rules as needed, but the most important things are just to report when you're told, do not cause a ruckus, and absolutely do NOT draw attention to the existence of Id, whenever possible." "How should we expect to be alerted to missions? Will we get much warning ahead, or is it more likely that we don't get much time to prepare?" "Since we are all asking around I've got kind of an add on to, uh, Cade? His question. What sorta missions will this group being handling?" "So... what exactly are we going to be dealing with? Our first bit of training was a mock fight... are we forming some sort of superhero team? Or is it more like... spies? I'm just wondering what exactly we're expected to do, is all." "All good questions! First off, Cade, with the exception of emergency situations, if any, they will be up to you to complete. With the state of Id and the world as a whole, we don't actually have a ton of missions, outside of trying to appear normal and keeping our eyes open. We get either orders from above or leads from people out in the area about strange events, and we'll be posting them. You guys aren't the only ones who will be using the system, so some missions that cross over with nearby areas will be potentially covered by other Diluculo branches. Basically, each day you will check your mission assignments for the day, week, whatever, and sign up for it. Some are short, some are long, but we will generally try to assign three to five of you per mission, unless it's either super simple or difficult. One of us higher ups will accompany you for your first missions, and then on more dangerous missions. Think of it like quests, if you've ever played a RPG Video Game. The ones based on hearsay from the area will be ones that you can take up if you have time, but they might not last forever..." Glancing at Marcel, then Lucia, Maddy continued her explanation. "And I kinda answered your questions with Cade's, but I'll elaborate on the specifics. The missions will generally be combat based, but some will be reconnaissance or simply getting a part time job that keeps you from doing others. Of course, you could call the latter type spying, but it's more just trying to keep tabs on an ever changing world. Our official status is that of a military group, monitoring the emergence and use of Id within the area in and around New York, but if thinking of us as superheroes makes you feel better about all of this, go ahead! Just, y'know... Superheroes with a boss. That report to higher bosses. And the leaders of the world." "Who is it that we actually answer to? With the... specifics this group is created for I have to work under the assumption that we're likely a more controlled group, right? If the answer is everyone higher in the organization, what part of the structure are we actually a part of? Ah, I suppose this would also be a more... private question, but how are weapons handled within the organization, such as the purchasing or owning of one?" Akiko let out a breath, as the captain blinked a bit, "Ehe, sorry if that was a bit too much at once..." "No, it's okay, Akiko," Mathilde smiled softly at the girl as she shook her head, "It's completely normal to ask questions like that in this situation. Let's see... If you wanna go all the way to the top, the answer is that we answer to the United Nations. Diluculo is a joint effort by the nations of the world to come together and assess, understand, and handle the threat and promise that Id can represent. Major Volkov is the head of this branch, and she reports directly to the head of the entire organization, as well as to that politician I mentioned earlier, though that's more a matter of obligation than actually reporting. He's just... difficult, to say the least. He was considered a rising star in US politics before this worldwide initiative began, so he's a bit of a control freak." Maddy took a deep breath, and sipped at a glass of water on the table before continuing. "Aaaanyway, there are branches all over the world, and we're just one. A small one, too, because the UN itself is the headquarters for the entirety of Diluculo. I'm sure all of you saw it when arriving, but it's next door. We're meant to be a training branch, henceforth, while many of the operatives who came from the generation with the Major... I'mma call her Nika when she's not around... Nika and myself, who are simply poised as regular UN employees. Some are strong, some are weak, some may even be brought in to help train you on occasion. As far as weapons go, funds from around the globe go towards our weaponry. It used to be standard military fare, but they're more lenient with you guys, as they finally realized that some Id are more specialized than others. As such, once you have had a decent amount of training, you will be given a weapon of your choice, which we will order, with any specifications in mind. You will be able to repair them once a month for free, anything else will come out of your earnings. Speaking of, your earnings will be based on which missions you complete and how well you perform, so make sure to do your best! And, of course, any wages you make on said part-time jobs." "Is Major Volkov new to her position, by any chance?" Sergei asked as Maddy took another deep breath. "... Yes, and no. She's new to having new recruits, but she rose up to Captain in under a year. Given how she's my only superior at this branch, and there's only one person above her, I think you get the picture. She has some quirks with how she runs her ship, but she was given this branch due to her performance as a leader over the past four years. She also has one of the highest success rates in the entirety of Diluculo, both for herself and others, though she doesn't wear any of the medals or display the awards. I guess she's just not the type..." The captain glanced at a clock on the wall, finding that her long winded discussions had taken around 45 minutes by this point. With a slight smirk, she stretched in the seat and downed her glass of water, pointing to the group. "Now, why don't we make this fun?" The smirk grew into a mischievous grin, "I promise this is no test, but I was supposed to keep you guys occupied until Nika returned... So why don't we just share a fun fact about each of ourselves or something? Like, something that isn't going to be compromising in combat, so Nika can't protest..." Maddy pursed her lips a little, humming, "Oooor we could play truth or dare! I'm sure Alec, our resident medic, has a nice truth serum ready for me to use on each of you. So, which will it be~?" OOC

"so, you want this boat? Then you can go and take it from me and my men. Either leave and get your captain to scrap for it, or test your luck with me right here." Alexis kept her eyes on the boss of the group but she tried to keep as many of the others in sight as she could. This was a very bad idea she knew that. But...it was also so very exciting. Facing off against a pack of angry bandits for control of a ship that they intend to use to escape a blockade? What a story this will be! And what trouble could a few sea rats be right? One hand on Tana's reigns the other holding her lance to the side. "What do you know I think it's my lucky day. Come and try me I'll knock you louts around and clean your filth from this deck. Can't very well ride on such a filthy boat right? So who's first?" She heard a scream suddenly and, looking to the side, she saw a body, one of the other bandits no doubt, soaring up into the air only to come crashing down onto the deck in between her and the leader. They both stared for a few moments. "Okay....Who's second?" Alexis corrected herself. It looked like she wouldn't have to fight them off on her own for long after all. "no, no. It's fine, really. Thanks." Rona smiled. She didn't know why his words made her feel so pleasant. It wasn't as though he was giving her praise. Yet it felt nice all the same. She almost panicked when she heard the disgusted tone in his voice. What he said hadn't been directed towards her but she instinctively began to wonder what she had done to upset him. "I uh, I can't say I was expecting to see this." Her gaze moved towards the actual reason for his shift in tone. Yue and...that drunkard creature. He didn't seem to be attacking Yue. Though she was ready for if he suddenly turned on her in a drunken rage. Instead his rage looked to be directed at another shady looking character. From the shouts she could only assume that the captain had lost his ship and wanted it back. So why was Yue with him? "That man didn't drag you here, did he?" She asked Yue. "Or did you willingly join with him...?" Just then, above them, Cormag let out a roar and she reached for the axe at her side. The wyvern was angered by something. Which meant that someone they knew must be in danger on the ship. Now that she was looking she could see a familiar, large, winged, horse above the deck. Rona turned towards Leon. "Sir, shall I engage?" Leon seemed speechless for a moment, before giving out a resigned sigh. Drawing out his own sword Leon simply affirmed with a, “let’s.” As soon as she was given the order she raised her hand and Cormag came slamming down next to the two. Rona climbed onto his back and held a hand out. "If either of you want a ride, now's the time."

I'm very interested; I'm still pretty new to the forum and I'm not really sure of proper etiquette or templates or anything of the sort. Is there a template I can use to fill out an application, or would it be best to ask this on the discord? Sorry.
