Water Trouble It was Aiden’s worst nightmare. Not only had the council been caught unawares yet again, so had those few on the island of higher standing than they were unaware as well. Up until just recently, even he had not known about Galatea’s newest crisis, though Aiden justified that to himself with the fact that he was already doing something about it. It was enough to keep him going, at least. “I could not tell you when exactly the drought occurred,” he said. “I sent some acolytes to gather some water yesterday morning, and this morning they said there was none. The acolytes under me seemed to know about it even before they left, though, so it must have happened sometime yesterday, I suppose. “I admit, water is not one of my areas of expertise, nor do I imagine it is of yours. But I do know the spring was a gift from Dia’s watchdog ages ago when the island was young and it has been a fixture of our lives since. Surely you understand how important this is, even without the threat of drought hanging over all of us. It’s just outside of town. I could show you the way, if you would like to see for yourself? Or did you have another destination in mind?” Trouble in the Water The moment Emily’s wrists were seized she not only felt the shock of the attack (not to mention that of seeing such a grotesque transformation) but also a jolt of adrenaline. Drawing the sword initially had been the initial primer, of course, but now it had taken its full effect -- she was wide awake now. It didn’t save her, nor did it keep her from dropping the sword, sending it clattering to the floor beneath her, but of all the things that happened to her in that single moment, that one was the one she wanted to focus on. It was the only thing remotely positive so far. “Where did you get that sword?” Nuumu’s watchdog asked. Wouldn’t she like to know? “I had use for it, and there it was,” Emily said. She had no doubt she would fold under whatever pressure the watchdog could inflict on her, but that didn’t mean she was about to make it easy. She would have said more -- she could imagine her eyes wild with fury now, and she was ready to do all she could even if that was just talk, explain exactly how killing Simon was the best, nay, the only thing to do -- but she stopped short the moment another voice appeared. “Neasa, you’re out of time,” the voice said. There was more, but Emily focused on the final words spoken. “I am going to kill Simon. You may have been able to hold back Emily, but that won’t prove true with me.” Fair enough, Emily thought. She would have preferred to have performed the vengeful act herself, but seeing him dead by another hand may as well have been the same thing. She struggled against Neasa’s grip again, finally breaking free, though the moment she hit the ground she crumpled. It felt like just as all that energy had entered her system, it had vanished equally as quickly, and she barely had the strength to even push off the ground. Maybe it was for the best, she realized. She’d probably just interfere if she tried again. She heard Simon say, “Ah, well, I suppose I will let you all sort this out. We should probably retreat to the sanctum for the time being, my dear attendants,” and, moments later from seemingly further away, “When you are finished, please let me know if I am to die today or not. I would hate for it to be a surprise.” OOC

"What a stick in the mud," was all that Tsubasa said as Orikami left the class. With that out of the way, the students all had moved on from class to class, trying to breeze through the rest of the day. Sadly, school was one thing that seemed to always drag on for as long as it could to the cat girl. If there was one thing that Tsubasa took away from her first day of class it was the bruise that she had acquired from none other than Ruby Heart. The woman had laser precision and had managed to catch the cat girl at least twice in the same class with the same trick. But Tsubasa was determined. She had no interest in history class, and so she would learn to dodge the hero's attacks and get so good at it she could avoid it even in her sleep! "Nyahaha!" The girl laughed, out loud, to herself as she was leaving the school ground. Filled with determination to evade learning, the girl took out her phone, typing away at it. With the first day done, being both eventful and not at the same time the girl couldn't help but wonder what the rest of the week would be like. The cat girl let out a disgruntled sigh as she made her way to the school grounds. Outside of their first day, Tsubasa had found the first week of school surprisingly and boringly normal. And then there was today. A trip. A school trip in the second week of school. One determined to bring her to her arch nemesis. The beach! There was nothing about the beach that Tsubasa had enjoyed, between both the sand and the water. As such, she had been looking for every way possible to get out of this school trip. Unfortunately, her only other option was to stay at school and partake in a study hall. One where she would probably have to actually study and be watched over by someone else. Having to spend an entire day with any one of the demon teachers of UA was not something Tsubasa would have looked forward to either. The girl briefly considered just skipping school altogether and hanging out in the city for the day. Though, the last time she had done that, her mother boarded her window shut for a week, and Tsubasa couldn't imagine what the punishment this time would be. And so, begrudgingly, Tsubasa made her way onto the bus. Not really paying much mind to anyone outside of it, the girl walked onto the bus in which she grimaced yet once more. Right. The bus. An enemy that the cat girl was again, not so fond of. At least it wasn't a car. All the same, Tsubasa walked further towards the back of the bus, overhearing a conversation about someone else seeming to be thrilled about going to the beach only made Tsubasa's already annoyed mood even worse. Getting into in a seat, Tsubasa slid herself towards the window, looking outside as she let out some sort of combination between a "meow" and a groan.

Marie smiled back to Randy happily as he as well acknowledged her own maturity and hugged him back. After letting go, though, wagged a finger back to him. "The same goes back to you. Just because you're big and love to fight doesn't mean I like watching you get clobbered either." Chuckling at this though, the girl said, "but I'll do my best to stay safe. Just like you should too." She returned the thumbs up to the Mimikyu saying, "and you too. We've all gotta make it back out of this," she turned back to Randy. "And after all you need to be around if your new friends are going to join our Ohana." After giving her little speech, the girl looked towards the door as it opened. Her hairs standing on end, clearly unnerved by the whole situation, the girl gulped before taking a step forward into the next room. Nine did not inherit the same kind of aura sensitivity that his mother had. He could not see them and it wasn't as though he could sense them from normal people. As such, he couldn't help but feel on edge with how many he had felt within the past few days, and how different yet oppressive all of them had been. The distinct wrongness of the room, both in appearance and feeling could only be rivaled by that of Giratina, and made only more so as the source showed his face. Kura. The leader of the Godslayers. Seeing the dark flames he was cloaked in and the intensity of his presence, Nine could understand that Jabari had no more apt a way of describing him then "the devil." Nine glared at the man, only having his intensity turn to shock as he unveiled the fruits of his labor. Nine looked towards the creator herself, Arceus, locked away in a pyramid of light encased in flame. Nine could hardly fathom the site, both of the original legend as well as the state that she was in. But, it all affirmed one thing to him. No matter who Kura was, no matter his motives, and no matter how strong he was, this man needed to be stopped. The Houndoom took a step forward, instinctively as he felt his fury build up and call for him to fight the man. However, this was stopped in its tracks as the Godslayer struck at them with his own attack. As a torrent of black flame made its way towards them, Nine understood on a primal level that this was not the kind of flame that would agree with him. As such, he made his way to dodge out of the attack, diving and rolling to the side to avoid being swallowed by the fire. "Alright, alright. Come on Marie. You got this, you can do it." Marie pumped herself up as she found herself in quite the situation. It was a lot to take in all at once and she wasn't quite to make sure of it all. The girl had been left incredibly creeped out by the leader of the Godslayers but more than that, had been left speechless at the sight of Arceus. There was a sense of awe in her first glance, but beyond that Marie couldn't help but feel something else. Something that overpowered even the imposing air of the Godslayer. She felt a deep sadness whenever she thought about the legend - about their face. Marie couldn't really put all of her feelings to words nor could she quite make sense of all of them, so she just tried to keep it simple. There was someone who needed help. And the biggest bully of them all was hurt her. With that in mind, Marie had managed to steel her resolve to proceed forward against the Godslayer. With only the flame soldiers in her way, the girl didn't want to waste too much energy in dealing with them, but she wasn't exactly the fast type. Which, were that the case, all she needed to do was make them slower. As one flame warrior charged her, the girl took a deep breath and let out a gale of icy wind towards it. As the creature's was struck by it, in spite of its fiery body ice still managed to coat over it. With its movements slowed, the girl was able to step back away from the swing of its fist. Then, with it recovering from that, Marie began to run forward. With a second one in her path, she let out a shout as a pulse of pink energy was launched from her mouth towards it. Raising an arm, it intercepted her disarming voice with a blast of dark flame, only for Marie to then be knocked forward from behind by another dark flame. Stumbling, the girl grit her teeth as she kept her balance. Grumbling, the girl taunted, "compared to what I just endured, this is nothing!" Taking in another deep breath, the girl let loose a torrent of bubbles out of her mouth, striking the chest of the flaming phantom. Forcing the creature backwards, Marie continued to run forward. As she got closer the creature moved towards her, winding back a fist for a punch. However, more sluggish in its movements then before, Marie side stepped the attack. Looking the creature right in the face, she shouted, "out of my way!" Point blank, she fired off yet another bubble beam, knocking the creature off its feet and sending it to the ground. As it struggled to recover, Marie continued her forward progress towards Kura. As Nine stood back up, he took a deep breath to steady himself as the apparitions of dark flame started to appear before him. Behind him was flame. Ahead of him was the devil. But beyond that, there was Arceus. A legend. Creator or not, hollow or not, defeated or not they were still a legend. So no matter what foe stood before him, be it disciple or devil, this was just one final trial for him to overcome. Such was his duty as a chaser. Smiling as he had managed to simplify the situation in his head, Nine quipped, "I see why the other Godslayers aren't big on talking. Horrible upper management, terrible example to follow." Stepping in place, Nine let a pulse of darkness flow through him as he sharpened the strength of his aura again. In front of him there were three flame warriors, one of them further back then the others. Taking a fighting stance, Nine ignited his arm as he saw the one in the back raise its arm. Thrusting his hand forward, he let loose a stream of flame only to be matched by the flame apparition, the two fires struggling against each other for a moment before Nine's finally won out and pushed the creature back. The other two charged the Houndoom, who had stepped back and put his arms up. As the flame creatures both punched at him, Nine moved to catch both of their fists with either of his hands, wincing as he managed to stop them. Even though they were just created by Kura and were clearly mass produced, they didn't feel particularly weak. Still, they were considerably weaker then anything he had fought in recent memory and so not feeling deterred by it, Nine pushed downward, letting go as he forced the arms down. Charging both of his arms with darkness Nine thrust both of his elbows into the faces of the flame phantoms, knocking them back. As they both charged their hands with fire, Nine stretched both of his hands out and placed them on the creature's chest. Letting out a pulse of darkness into both of them, the two stumbled back with their attacks interrupted as the third had managed to let loose yet another stream of flame. Bringing back both of his arms, Nine braced himself as the flames were not absorbed and struck true against him. Sharpening his aura again, Nine coated himself in darkness once more. As the two flame warriors came in for another punch, Nine stepped forward. "You're pretty strong so far Kura, I'll give you that." Sending both of his arms to the side, Nine let loose yet another dark pulse towards the creature's. As they faded from the force of the attack, Nine continued to run forward. "And you managed to beat a legend, yeah? Well so what?" As he got close enough to the flame warrior it sent a punch at Nine, who once again caught the attack. Wincing from the strength of it yet again, Nine clenched his hand as the force of the attack traveled into fist. Punching the warrior, Nine let go of its fist and used his now free hand to grab at the creature's head. "If one legend is all you've got to your name, then you're nothing compared to a chaser!" Igniting his hand, Nine let loose flames directly into the creature's head as he continued to crush down onto it, until finally the flames exploded and the flaming creature was defeated. Looking ahead, there were more in his path, but the Houndoom didn't seem too bothered by it. "So let's see how much your boasting amounts too." With that, Nine charged ahead towards the lead Godslayer.

"There are many ways to exercise and train. Me, I started off with SPORTS! I joined every sport club and became the STAR of EACH! But since the principal said that would be too much and I couldn't pick one...I decided I'd let you all decide! This machine has every sport known to life on it. Pick your favorite sport and we'll start drills through this week to prepare. And then next week...we'll have a little competition!" Sports, eh? Vivian wasn't an athlete herself, but there was no shortage of sports scenes on Colia to find and follow. Except for baseball and football. The way stadiums were built back home meant they were too small for those two specific sports. But there was no shortage of other sports to be found. There was one in particular that she was quite fond of, so of course she cast her vote for that one. Basketball! Sitting at the forefront of Colian sports, joining a women's basketball team was always Vivian's backup plan for if her actual dream career didn't work out. That was when she heard that movie star Weston Easton laughing very obnoxiously loud. "I can't believe so many people had trouble with that. Sure, I had a lot of practice given my stunt work but really. So many people fell behind me when I wasn't even trying my best. And the ones who got better? I'm sure they had to work so very hard. And a few of them even had a handicap and they couldn't keep up." It would have been only slightly less obnoxious if Vivian wasn't standing right next to him the whole time. "Oh, it wasn't that hard at all. In fact, I probably scored pretty average for someone from my planet. My drill instructor could probably beat both of our times with his hands behind his back." Then the girl nodded her head roughly in Kellz's direction, adding "And that girl wasn't far behind you, even though she's out an arm. Not to mention Mr. Benton over there could probably leave all three of us in the dust without breaking a sweat. Sounds like we've both got a long way to go. Maybe I should take up a stunt girl career?" He scoffed at her. "Out an arm? Don't you realize the advantage that thing gives her? No, I suppose some backwater bumpkin wouldn't." A gaggle of girls around him, who seemed to pop into existence just to respond, giggled at his words. Ah. He caught that after all. "Now that you mention it, it sure does! Sure, she's not as fast as either of us, but that arm packs a nasty punch! But that leaves me, right? Shouldn't your stunt work make you at least better at this than a backwater bumpkin? And a weird bird, apparently?" Seriously, what kind of bird was that? She'd never seen one quite like it before. She'd have to do some research. Maybe it was a rare native species? Or perhaps even... endangered? The horror. He tossed his hair and flashed a smile. "Maybe if I was really trying." He then glanced over at said bird. "And don't underestimate birds." He muttered. Then shook his head quickly and looked back at Vivian. Vivian was about to posit a response of her own to that too, but suddenly, Mr. Benton had announced the results of the poll. And the results were... soccer! Fine by her! If it was a game where the best legs won, Vivian would nail it! "I'll see you on the soccer field then, I suppose. Make sure to really try if we're on opposite teams. Consider it some friendly competition. By the way..." Vivian reached into her purse, digging past the overabundance of pens to grab a small notebook. She'd made a point to start carrying this around now that the school year was officially on. Opening it to the very last page, she held out the book and a pen, asking "It's pretty rare to get to meet a galactically-famed actor like Weston Easton! Could I perhaps get your autograph? There's no way anyone back home would believe I met you unless I have it." He stared blankly at her but only for a moment before his smile turned back to a charming one "Of course, it'd be my pleasure." He then signed the paper. Writing along with it "Thanks for the support, look forward to all my future successes, Weston Easton." "Thank you~" Sucker~! Vivian put the book and pen back in her purse, before making her way away from him and reuniting with the other girls where she heard her name being brought up. "I...I don't suppose you like soccer, Vivian?" "I certainly don't mind it. I'm more of a basketball girl though! Every time I played soccer I just ended up wishing we had open-air stadiums on Colia." That was going to change here, of course. But that would come up when it came up. For now, she wanted to get to that class! Being late wouldn't be a good first impression! At the same time, she didn't want to ditch the other girls. So she kept pace with them, and asked in return "How about you two? Any sports either of you are particularly fond of?"
