Kronya from fire emblem looks like she was ripped directly from a hentai doujin or monster girl quest or something:

Me and nour are going to an anime convention tomorrow, again(friday). Same organizers as the last time, should be fun since I'm less nervous/know what to expect.

It was my birthday 2 days ago (6 aug), renovations ended and me and nour got actual good usable computers, really good computers actually, for me I went from barely running risk of rain 2 at minimum settings to running it 120 fps np at max, sekiro from ~10 fps min settings to 60 max, nioh works perfect at max, etc. Nour's is a really big deal though, since she couldn't run 90% of 3D games in the last like 5 years, even things like fate extella on min settings or dark souls 1 wouldn't work at all, not even at 1 fps, she has years of catchup to do.
Anyone got any recs? I have a big pile of vidya that I have already but more is better.

when did BOTW support become an organized cult? Everywhere it gets #1 best game of all time, there's articles about it every week, and now there's this: https://www.gamerevolution.com/news/576549-zelda-clone-genshin-impact-havoc-sony-chinajoy

Our apartment has been undergoing a looooot of fixing in the last month because of decayed/rusted/corroded/idk beams and cement in the ceilings and for like a month all the chairs and clothes and everything were piled like mountains in like two rooms. Just two days till we're done, though.

Sad Panda is shutting down in 12 hoursish because of a new law in Netherlands and the anime/manga enthusiast section of the internet is completely on fire to try to save as much of it as possible, to the tune of petabytes of content
-
For those who don't know, sadpanda is a hosting site for doujins and h-manga, the biggest one on the internet. It's where all other similar sites scrape their content. It has a lot of artbooks, non-h, and other content too. Also because a lot of artists are discovered because they drew doujins, or that some of them were huge inspirations like how katawa shoujo was inspired by a doujin raita(valkyria chronicles artist now) made, some artists sold doujins of their own work to fund the anime (goddanar season two) and just artistic preservation it's a big deal even if you don't like it

I only just found out but apparantely Dead by Daylight has a lot of playable guest killers from other games, like mike myers from halloween, freddy from nightmare on elm street, amanda young from saw, and there's speculation for a stranger things killer soon.

Bernie Sanders has a twitch account and is set to livestream now... memes abound.

Reventure has one of the most assholish, garbage moves in a game I've ever seen.
Basically, you go to rescue the princess, and find her, in a jail cell, seemingly wounded and unable to move, so you open the door to her cell, go in next to her... and get an extremely loud and visceral jumpscare because that was a Mimic. But the real garbo move is that you find out later, maybe by trial and error, that you HAVE to press the switch that opens the jail cell for the mimic and then wait 20 seconds for an extra platform to spawn opposite to the cell which allows you to reach the "true princess". Also, of course, there's an ending/special cutscene for killing the true princess because you thought it was another mimic. Also, the mimic escapes, and shows up later on your escape route if you do this. Like, seriously, I feel like that's a bigger deterrent than any other exploration deterrent I've seen in a game, the designer of the evil lair really knocked it out of the park.

It's a funny game. I accidentally got an ending where you tripped on a rock and died. You were supposed to just walk into it on your way out the door, but after getting the sword, I climbed over the house, jumped off, landed right on the rock, and tripped. I couldn't help but laugh.
I like how that's the second ending, too, cause it's directly in your path out the door, but the first ending is well out of your way in the opposite direction.

I feel highly uncomfortable about how many chinese-made games on steam are about simulating a terrible, extremely strict parents household. Just saw another one called homework is crazy, and just a few months ago "chinese parents" was the top seller on steam for a long period, it's disturbing.

So there's 3 auto chess games announced/releasing this week, one is league of legends' auto chess, teamfight tactics, one is Valve's official auto chess game, Dota underlords, available to dota battle pass owners until it's out of beta, and the original creator of auto chess(drodo)'s has announced that his version of auto chess (which is already out on mobile) will be available through only the epic store on PC.
I had a feeling this genre was going to take off since it was top 5 twitch views basically since release but I didn't expect it to be the next HS/MOBA/BR.

Cadence of Hyrule is the best idea, it's basically a legend of zelda game with crypt of the necrodancer's gameplay style, you move to the beat and enemies move when you do. Dungeons are procedurally generated, but the overworld is semi-procedurally generated, and it's a real big game instead of going from floor to floor like necrodancer.
Also the sprites are really good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKDORspwSgY

I forgot to mention it, but me and nour came back from vacation a few days ago, we were on a week vacation to the beach, and it was pretty cool. Didn't go the beach a lot, but the weather wasn't a dry, hot desert like where we live so it was nice, and the resort we were in had nice chairs and desks for me to sit down and play vidya so that was fun. (I'm boring, I know).
Also I played a bunch of games that I liked and a bunch of games that I didn't like at all and I'll be saying what I think of sekiro and the others.
-
I played forager, and it's short, but I liked it for what it was, it's a comfy game and a mix of zelda, stardew, and terraria, and it's full of ways to progress and new skills that unlock whole new buildings, and etc, I was anticipating what would happen next for every minute of playing the game, I was never not excited for what's going to happen next.

PSO2 coming to the west was the most surprising and unexpected thing so far.
-
So Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is coming out soon, in less than a month, and honestly from what I've seen about it it looks like it will be an average castlevania game that isn't worth the wait, and definitely not on the level of new metroidvania mastapeeces like hollow knight.
-
How is Dota Auto Chess still kicking and super popular, I feel like it could be made into a full fledged game by now.
-
TIL the gungeon from enter the gungeon is a shoutout to ninja gaiden 2... I definitely wouldn't have found THAT one.
-
Epic Games has bought the developer of Rocket League, and will soon stop selling the game on steam(but will still update it and keep it available to play through steam of course).
Man, I can't think of any other way to crater probably the game with the most goodwill in years, like legit the game is almost a gaming darling.

I only just realized I haven't posted a drawing to my twitter in a month just while learning how to draw decently. My one follower, @Sleepy is probably panicking.
I only made this that I'd like to show anyway and it's bad: http://i65.tinypic.com/2nbwnqc.png

So I played the first chapter of zanki zero and it's about as "written by DR staff" as I'd expected, and it has the same feel and look to it, too. The gameplay is just super lame though, they just slapped that on there and it's definitely only there to facilitate the plot.

Is there any game you wish would get a 3D sequel? Asking because the transition from risk of rain 1 to RoR 2 is almost seamless and perfectly like the original and it's almost stunningly so.
I'd like a dead cells soulslike, maybe.

Reminder that there is literally no proof of any of the misdoings of channel awesome, even one year on, there's only he said she said.

"Testimonies aren't very unreliable" So thanks to that double negative, it means that they are reliable. And it's more than just one person. The Google Doc, again, multiple literally dozens of testimonies, from people who collaborated and confirmed each other's stories. This is not secondhand information; these are people expressing resentment based on years of abuses.
Those are the actual allegations. There is evidence in the document for you to read at your leisure.
-
I wrote that as testimonies are unreliable, then as testimonies aren't reliable, but made a mistake.
Also, adding a lot of unproven things together doesn't make them proven, for all anyone knows they could all or most be wrong when many of these events are years old, and the confirmation bias of talking to only them. -
I'm aware you made a mistake, but I saw an opportunity to tease and I went for it.
Considering that was a debacle that happened within the community, who the hell else did you expect them to talk to? It shows how much of a recurring issue this was, and just to give one example, Linkara took care to mention that his memory might be faulty, so he focused on what he was absolutely certain about.
This isn't a matter of "they could all or most be wrong." That is absolutely ridiculous, and you have to be jumping through a lot of hoops at that point to deny the possibility that there could be even the slightest merit to what they're saying.
