  1. I'll be putting up a new GM post tomorrow, so @ChampionZero please post soon-ish!
  2. TITANS LEGACY CH. 1: SPUTTERING? OOC Infrastructure was a hot commodity in Imbrium City. For a metropolis ostensibly named after a lunar sea, there seemed to be a surprising dearth of oceanfront real estate. So even though the Titans headquarters on the water like their counterparts, they couldn’t afford the soaring T-shaped tower present in other cities. Instead, the Titans North complex was a rambling set of converted warehouses around a central lookout, the only real sign that it belonged to an outpost of superheroes being the logo etched over the main entrance. It was through here that six soggy and very downtrodden-looking young heroes made their way. Capricorn was leading the trek back: he wasn’t pissed or anything, but the expression on his face would lead one to believe otherwise. “Storm Sire- Milly,” he started, before quickly shaking what felt like a gallon of seawater out of his ear. “Please talk to Ocean Master some time about not siccing his attack crabs on us next time we have to go anywhere near the ocean. If you can,” he added. “I’m sick of having Atlantis’ high prince of villainy complicating what was otherwise a straightforward mission. We’re not even in the Atlantic, for gods’ sake!” The round communicator holstered on Capricorn’s arm beeped as it interfaced with the complex’s security system, setting the glass doors to slide open with a whir. “And c’mon guys… We’ve been together for what, six months now? But we’re still making these strategic fouls!” He plodded in, a trail of seawater following him, and collapsed onto the couch. The Bow of the Hunt clattered next to him, dissolving into a plume of purple smoke as he recalled it. “What will Evergreen say…? Ugh.” He flopped back, fully expecting his teammates to castigate him over his uncharacteristic negativity. Oh well. He was owed it every so often. OOC: Welcome to Teen Titans North HQ, your home away from home. Having returned from an oceanic sojourn (rescuing a submarine of innocent sailors from a malicious villain), you're here to chill... for now. Feel free to interact with your fellow heroes for a few posts: the first actual mission will kick off soon enough.

So this woman can Spit. Fire. I don't think many people know her outside of the Midwest or WtNV fandoms, but let me tell you, she's one of the best-if not the best-female MCs out there right now. She can rap just as well as she sings, and is one hell of a poet to boot. Also, seen her in concert twice, and copped one hug and one signed setlist from each. So I'm biased. Let me know if y'all like her and I'll post more of her.
  4. The team is as follows: Rinne -- Capricorn Saiba Aisu -- Diviner ZetaRESP -- Storm Siren ChampionZero -- Nano Mr. Hyde -- Cherry Blade ArgosPanoptes -- Impact Will post the IC thread later this week! Also, my app (finally).
  5. Apps are closed! I will be reviewing them and noting my acceptances this weekend. ?
  6. Hey guys, deadline for completed applications is March 8 at midnight EDT (that's this Friday). Please get your stuff in order!
  7. Just gonna c/p from Reddit: What we know so far: It's called "Modern Horizons." Set has 254 cards, a mix of new cards and reprints. Cards in Modern Horizons will "skip Standard" -- they will not be Standard-legal, but will be Modern-legal. The reprints are new to Modern, chosen from pre-8th-Edition sets. Releases June 14, 2019. Prerelease weekend June 8-9. Prerelease will be Booster Draft, not Sealed Deck. There will be a buy-a-box promo. The buy-a-box promo is a new-to-Modern reprint. 36 boosters per box. Will release in paper and on Magic Online. Boosters will be $6.99 on Magic Online. Is not coming to Arena for now. Set code: MH1. Multiple GPs (Washington, DC; Copenhagen; Seattle) will be Modern Horizons Limited. (they were called GPs on the stream, so I'm not writing "MagicFest™" again here. Oh crap, I wrote it again) Preview season: "end of May." Two cards were spoiled -- images here.
  8. Not sure what you mean by that, friend... care to explain? Also, Discord is live! Feel free to join. https://discord.gg/xVT3nKP
  9. Oof, so my experiment with new forum coding didn't go swimmingly. Fixed the app code.
  10. Not to double post, but consider it a separate canon.
  11. Application code is below: feel free to style it as you please. If you'd like to apply, please reserve your power set in your post. (Also I'm gonna get the main post prettied up, I swear.) Remove anything in (parentheses) in the app. Rinne reserves photokinesis for his powers.
  12. titans: legacy the story so far High above the earth, a satellite floated, gyrating in slow deliberate circles. The beings inside observed the Earth below with the same type of quiet thoughtfulness, a wisdom only earned through power. They knew what would come next. Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern… They were all names known worldwide, responsible for maintaining peace and delivering justice to the wicked. But they were only so many in number, and as humanity grew, so did its potential for wickedness. Yes, many threats may have fallen. But there were plenty to take their place—and the Justice League knew it was inevitable that these names would rise again. So it was to no surprise that their decision was unanimous. The Justice League would recruit more members into their fold: under the Titans program, age was no barrier to success. This organization became a beacon of hope and aspiration for powered young folks across the globe: as long as they faced problems and villainy within their communities, they could prove to be the solution to the problem. And one day, each of these Titans would inherit the mantles of their predecessors. And maybe, they’d craft their own legacies in turn. Welcome, young Titan! You’re a new transplant to Imbrium City, handpicked by the Executive Council of the Justice League and plucked from wherever you came from across the globe to take up residence in one of the northwestern US’ most crime-ridden metropolises. Your task—should you choose to play along, of course—is to take down superhero crime as it emerges. Pretty straightforward in concept, but you’re a bit green behind the gills, so even the simplest of superpowered tasks can be complicated. For now, just try to get through the day without killing or screwing your teammates… or even both. the rules Please read and understand NCM and section rules before posting. This RP is set in the DC Comics universe. While it is not required to have prior canon knowledge, as the RP’s plot will deal heavily with the theme of “legacy,” there will be interactions with canon characters—so I recommend you be willing to do at least some research. That said, if you’d like your character to have significant canon ties from the onset (ex. you want to make a young member of the Lantern Corps), DM me first so we can iron out logistics. The storyline will be independent of any existing plot, so don’t worry about having to read any specific comics. You have creative freedom when making your character, but please remember that GM word is final, and you may be asked to change things if deemed necessary. There’s a fine line between over-the-top and just plain silly: I expect you to know where that lies. I won’t be restricting your potential powers, but please be reasonable and consider how your character’s abilities will work in the context of an RP. Being accepted into this RP means that you are committed to seeing it advance. If you end up falling inactive, you may be dismissed from participating. When posting, please let at least two people go before you before posting again; and aim to post 2-3 times a week. If for some reason you’ll need to be inactive for an extended period, please let the hosts know so they can write around your absence. As of right now, I only want one character per player. If you are competing for a particular position against another applicant… well, tough. I’ll pick applications based on how I think the characters will overlap and interact with one another—diversity in character type is key. Finally, six characters max will be on the Titans, meaning I’ll only accept five other players. the rest App code link. Accepted chars: TBD. Pretty HTML: TBD.
  13. So I've been in talks with a certain other person to bring back an RP... would anyone be interested in a Titans (not Teen Titans, but still DC) roleplay?

  15. Couple o` updates/restructures later... Drop: 2x Swamp; Apprentice Necromancer; Boreas Charger; Doomed Traveler; Mother of Runes; Tymna the Weaver; Xathrid Necromancer; Final Parting; Return to Dust; Wake the Dead; Anointed Procession; Ashes of the Abhorrent; Grave Pact; Phyrexian Reclamation; Jar of Eyeballs Add: High Market; Temple of Silence; Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim; Elenda, the Dusk Rose; Grave Titan; Imperious Oligarch; Krav, the Unredeemed; Martyr of Dusk; Ruthless Knave; Utter End; Vampiric Tutor; Victimize; Land Tax; Phyrexian Arena; Chromatic Lantern
  16. Okay, fine, y'all convinced me. - Ever After, - ??? + Living Death, + Phyrexian Arena Now, what 3-drop would you all cut for Arena?
  17. You too, fam. o/ What lands do you suggest? I'm generally not a big fan of utility lands, but I have so many basics atm that it probably wouldn't hurt. Reliquary Tower isn't one I'm too hot on, though, considering discard can help me if I'm aiming to reanimate stuff. Black Market has always been a trap card, in my experience: it's 5 mana, so it doesn't help you ramp early; and you don't even get the benefit until your next turn. It's always hit the board and eaten a removal spell immediately after. But I don't wanna be a combo deck. ? Fine, I'll think of something to cut for Living Death. Thoughts? > Phyrexian Arena I don't like Arena that much, surprisingly. It's been too slow in the many games I've played.

  19. Posted my first topic! Which ofc is an EDH decklist. If one of the five MtG players on this site would take a gander, would be much appreciated. ❤️

  20. Also featuring on TappedOut. Goal here is straightforward: abuse the death triggers of your creatures as much as possible, and overwhelm your opponents with a token swarm in the process. My thoughts, and points that I'd like some feedback on: Are there enough bombs? Deck feels highly synergistic to me on first pass, but afraid that there's not enough raw power. How about enough card draw? And removal?
  21. So I think a Gx Elves shell is viable in the upcoming standard, but have you considered going Gruul? Rhythm of the Wilds seems absolutely backbreaking against control, and the removal is better -- Lava Coil, Thrash/Threat, Lightning Strike, etc. I do think the core of whatever you have should be: 4 Llanowar Elves 4 Druid of the Cowl 4 Elvish Clancaller 4 Growth-Chamber Guardian 4 Incubation Druid 3 Marwyn, the Nurturer 2 End-Raze Forerunners
  22. Loop Yosei four times and you lock down a few players. Loop Kokusho four times, and your opponents are at 0. QED.
  23. Hey kids. Pretty excited about the set overall. Riot seems pretty strong and there are a number of Gruul cards I want for my Hallar deck (i.e. Ravager Wurm, Rhythm of the Wild, Cindervines). Incubation Druid will be absolutely nutty in that deck too. Emergency Powers seems bonkers strong. I try to keep cards in my decks below CMC 7, but this will have to be an exception for Ephara. Refueling your hand and dropping a big boi is too good. Going to have to build Teysa at some point. Death-harmonicon has too many options: Kokusho will give you like 30 life on dying!
