[Equip Spell]

Once per turn, when the equipped monster's activated effect resolves: Destroy 1 card on the field, and then the equipped monster loses 500 ATK and DEF.

"monster's" as opposed to "monster". Anywho:

I like it. Kind of like a Cursed Armaments, Darkworld Shackles, Ekibyo Drakmord or something of the sorts. Normally your opponent would feel inclined to activate the monster's effect; thus, you can destroy one of your opponent's cards, or perhaps even the equipped monster. OR equip it to one of yours to go for destruction. There are cards that have no "once per turn" clause of any sort like Snipe Hunter and Reptilianne Medusa just to give examples. Sure, it'll cost precious ATK, but it is well worth it for a bit of destruction.

I like this one. Not sure if it could even have a metagame impact, but opening with 3+ monsters with negation effects, and adding this to the mix sounds like an amusing thing to set up, although I guess it wouldn't be different to opening with a Solemn Trap, Impermanence or a hand trap. However, it can also assist with breaking boards when going second too. something most of those cards cannot do. Thus, IMO its edge relies on that is can be useful when going both first and second, provided there is a monster that can activate and resolve its effect. Heck, as pointed above, you can even equip it to an opponent's monster to discourage from activating its monster effect, or punishing it for doing so.
