PSYCLE (OOC/Started/Postponed Acceptance/PG-16)

(maybe a logo here someday)
IC

June 11th, 2030. This auspicious date marks exactly 100 years since the end of The Crisis, a near-apocalyptic event that changed the fabric of reality itself. In the century since, nations have risen and fallen, wars have broken out and been quelled, and mankind has fought to reclaim the world that was nearly ripped apart by the breaking down of reality. On this momentous centennial anniversary, the leaders of the world prepare to address the people, many of whom have gathered to massive festivals meant to both celebrate making it this far, and remember what it took to reach this point. Hopes are high, and many believe that at long last, the world has settled down, and soon, the world will return to a sense of peaceful normalcy.

Just behind the curtain, however, not all is as well as one might think.

How did The Crisis happen, and what stopped it? How it is connected to psychics? And can the world ever truly reach a sense of normalcy? To learn the answers to those questions means following a chain of events that starts at one of these 100-year anniversary festivals...

Name:

Age: As cool as it would be to have near-centennial fossils in this RP, I'm hard-capping how old your character's allowed to be at 90 for story & worldbuilding reasons. Not that I think anyone was gonna go past that point anyway.

Gender:

Appearance: A pic or description. Please include height.

Personality: No word count minimum, so long as I can get a read on your character.

Biography: DO NOT include this part in your app. DM this to me, either on NCM or on Discord. Also, feel free to reach out to me while you're working on this, so I can help work your backstory into the overall main plot of PSYCLE.

Abilities: 82% of the human population is psychic as of 2030. If you're among that vast majority, please explain both what your character can do, as well as the core belief that powers it. If you're not psychic, this is where to put any other abilities of note that a normal human would not have.

General Information

The Crisis & its aftermath

Spoiler

On June 3rd, 1930, strange things began happening on a global scale. Initial reports vary from place to place, with symptoms such as total electronic failure, localized reversal of night and day, loss of gravity, and in some cases, entire objects, people, or areas simply disappearing in plain sight. Over the next week, these symptoms became more frequent, widespread, and severe. By June 11th, everything that comprised reality as we know it seemed to just stop working, and the planet itself was breaking down into nothing, before suddenly, it all stopped.

After that, the general consensus is that the entire population of Earth had been rendered unconscious for several hours, mostly waking up in the early AM hours on June 12th. This week-long breakdown of reality was aptly referred to as The Crisis, and June 11th was designated as the date to commemorate the anniversary of it not completely destroying the world and all that lived upon it. Its cause and the reason it ended both remain unknown to this day, but it didn't take long to realize that in its wake, much had changed, both in the geography and inhabitants of Earth, and in the laws that govern reality itself.

Geographically, the first thing people noticed was that the sea level had been dramatically reduced. Additionally, the landscape itself had changed significantly, and along with it, the planet's biomes and climate. As a general rule, the world was now just a little bit hotter and drier in most places, and wetter in tropical areas near the equator, and great swathes of the land had become barren, rocky wastelands. Animals were now bigger, and more dangerous, from simple rabbits growing larger and stronger to some species undergoing population-scale mutations, such as the antlers of deer becoming sharp, natural blades. More than ever, the wilderness of Earth was a savage land where the strong survive and the weak become food.

Humans, of course, also changed. For more on this, please refer to "Psychics".

Of course, reality itself had also been altered by The Crisis. In addition to mutating plants and animals alike, some underlying physics that make the world go 'round were also changed. Most notably, electricity and similar signals couldn't be conducted from one place to another as efficiently. While this only had minor effects on common household items like refrigerators or light bulbs that didn't take long to work around, items meant to transmit across long distances simply took up too much energy to be viable anymore. This meant things like telephones and radios generally fell out of use, and psychics who could send information across long distances soon found themselves in high demand as the next best thing.

The Crisis also slightly reduced the lifespan of humans. Not enough to be a cause for concern, but enough that with 100 years passed since it happened, only one living human remains who witnessed it firsthand.

Psychics

Spoiler

After The Crisis, humans developed what are best described as psychic abilities. These can range from mundane to overwhelming, and can serve any number of purposes depending on the person.

At the core of it all, any given person believes in something, and this is the root from which these abilities grow. That one thing they believe in more than anything else, be it a principle, a mantra, or any number of other things. The way these powers work is by essentially forcing that one core belief onto the fabric of reality, making it change around them to fit that belief. For example, somebody whose powers come from the belief of "I must fight back" may be able to attack those who've struck them with greater force, or more effectively resist the abilities of others, while someone whose greatest belief is "This should work" might have the ability to return broken devices to working order, or create things that should be impossible and only work when used by them.

While some non-psychics may believe this is due to a mutation in the human genome, it didn't take long for research to prove this is a false claim. It isn't a matter of humans having changed, but rather, reality becoming more malleable in ways that the higher brain functions of a human can end up tapping into. As a result of this distinction, there are also cases of wild animals from particularly intelligent species also harboring psychic powers.

It's not uncommon for one psychic to be capable of doing multiple things, on the condition that it all traces back to the same core belief in some way. It's also possible for the belief that enables somebody's powers to change after a particularly life-changing event, but this is extremely rare. Of additional note, because these powers involve the alteration of reality itself, other humans are naturally resistant - but not immune - to abilities that affect the mind in some way. Regular government surveys also exist across the globe to keep track of what people are capable of, to ensure the safety of everyone.

As of 2030, an estimated 82% of the human population has some sort of psychic ability, and this number is expected to increase rapidly in the coming decades. However, due to a highly specific genetic sequence that would otherwise be glorified filler, approximately 8% of humans are incapable of developing psychic abilities, regardless of belief or lack thereof. This "defect" is hereditary, but researchers are fairly confident it will gradually fade out over the next few generations.

Bounty hunters

Spoiler

In the time since The Crisis, bounty hunting has become quite the widespread business. The wilderness has no shortage of monstrosities that need to be put down, and people are ever eager to use their abilities for evil, and tracking either of those down often falls upon the shoulders of these individuals. Normally, it's the case that bounty hunters must find and take on contracts themselves, but in some cases, the nations putting out exceptional bounties may reach out to famous bounty hunters first, hoping to employ the best in the business to handle matters that defy the scope of the norm.

Because bounty hunters operate independently, and do the people of the world a great service by eliminating major threats to public safety, those who do well in this profession may well find themselves on the fast track to fame. This in turn inspires many to take up bounty hunting. However, this is a dangerous profession, and the use of some sort of weapon is often advised to supplement one's own abilities.

HOST NOTE: The below doesn't account for every country in the world of PSYCLE. These are just a few that felt worth mention as I cobbled together an OOC. For further inquiries about the rest of the world, feel free to contact me directly. This spoiler may be updated as new nations get added to the lore of PSYCLE and/or as needed for character purposes. When this happens, I will always make note of it both in this thread and in the RP's dedicated Discord server.

United States of America

Spoiler

Prior to The Crisis, the United States comprised of 48 states operated by a singular government. However, between the brief societal collapse, the transformation of Earth, and the birth of the New Aztec Republic, several states - especially in the south and west - were lost. As of 2030, 30 states remain (to see which states were lost, please refer to this map), and they form a union more in the sense that they're all allied toward a common goal. The President still holds executive power across the nation, but the power of state governments has increased greatly in the last century.

During the war with the New Aztec Republic, an aerial fortress dubbed Air Force Zero was created, with the intention to use it as an ace in the sleeve to wipe out the enemy with indiscriminate force. However, the fortress was never put to military use, since the war ended before it could be deployed. Instead, the White House was place atop the fortress, and Air Force Zero now serves as the new political seat of power within the USA, protecting the President in times of peace and serving as a deterrant to those who would invade the remaining states.

Australia

Spoiler

In the late 1920s, Australia was in a rough spot, due to both the aftermath of the Great War and the subsequent onset of the Great Depression. Soon, 1930 came, and with it, The Crisis made everything much worse. The continent - formerly made up of mostly desert - began erupting with new life, but in addition, the wildlife that already existed began to change, as it did in the rest of the world. This meant that the emu population, which had already been a menace to Western Australia, completely overran the area, and many Australians were forced to retreat eastward. In the century since, the Australian military has reclaimed the western half of the continent, but the beasts lurking outside of civilization have grown dangerous enough to warrant the construction of large walls around towns and cities across the nation.

As of the year 2030, Australia is a continent dominated by jungle many would consider unbearably hot, with a much more tropical climate owing to the continent moving significantly further north during The Crisis. All is well and normal within the city walls, but the jungle outside is a dangerous place where anything that moves can kill a man, and may well try. Skilled bounty hunters looking to make a quick buck often flock to Australia, since not only can putting down its monstrous wildlife be a fairly lucrative business, but criminals who seek to flee other nations often end up hiding in those very jungles as well.

Japan

Spoiler

In the time up to and after the Great War, Japan was able to greatly expand its reach into mainland Asia and the island nations in Southeast Asia and the wider Pacific area. Some of these island territories disappeared during The Crisis, and in its aftermath, Japan lost a lot of mainland territory. Even more than this shrinking of borders, the greatest change in Japan didn't come until after The Crisis. Once the nation's matters were resolved, Emperor Showa was quick to reclaim territories lost during The Crisis, and to send assistance to those that needed it. The former led to some intense warring across Asia, which ended in Emperor Showa channeling the full extent of his abilities to destroy both himself and an entire counter-invading army, causing the war to swiftly end thereafter.

Thus did the Heisei Era begin on December 14th, 1948, which persists to this day. The new Emperor returned autonomy and provided military & economic aid to many of Japan's conquered territories to bury these old hostilities, on the condition that those nations recognize Japan's rule as having the real final say if they were to step in. Thus did an uneasy peace form, backed by the hand of the Emperor, who is generally believed to be one of the most powerful psychics in the world, as his father was before him. It's unknown why exactly the Imperial House is host to two such powerful psychics in a row, but one theory that stands out above the others is that it has to do with how psychics themselves are able to work; because Japan reveres the Emperor as a god so strongly, it's theorized that faith - when applied on a national scale - can create a sort of "psychic ambiance" that immensely powers up the Emperor.

As of 2030, the Heisei Era has continued to be one of uneasy peace. On a non-zero amount of occasions, nations have fought to break completely free of imperial rule, were promptly squashed, then later given their autonomy back again once the Emperor decided the message had been sent. Nations near Japan's protected territories look on with cautious gazes and readied armies in case of invasion, but the Emperor has yet to show any interest in expanding his territory, focused more on improving the quality of life within the land already under his rule as much as possible.

Russia & The East Eurasian Alliance

Spoiler

In the early 1920s, the Soviet Union was formed out of Russia and various neighboring nations. This union proved to be short-lived, as many of the Soviet Union's nations broke off from the union to manage their own affairs during and after The Crisis. Worse still, in the lowering of the sea level and other geographical changes, much of Russia was massively changed. The resulting chaos saw Russia lose much of its land, and for a brief period of time, the nation had almost entirely dissolved, being reduced to the city-state of Moscow. Around the start of 1931, however, Moscow's government was able to reclaim the confidence of the people, and Russia quickly spread back across most of its old territory. MOST of its old territory.

Particularly in the south and west, many formerly-Russian towns & cities had either set up their own sovereignty, or joined up with cities that had done so. This led to a brief war in which Russia tried to reclaim its old territory, and the new coalition of city-states fought to keep their newfound independence. Backed up by former Soviet Union nations who didn't want Russia to control such enormous amounts of land, the latter won, and the East Eurasian Alliance was formed out of those city-states and the other countries in the area. Russia begrudingly went with it, and elected not to join the EEA.

As of 2030, Russia and the EEA still don't get along, and more wars have come and gone every so often. Each time Russia tries and fails to reconquer the city-states around them, they're sternly told not to do it again, but inevitably, they do it again. Things have quieted down in the last couple of decades, but the EEA has only gotten more wary in response to the newfound silence. Few have been allowed to enter or leave Russia for quite some time, so it's hard to tell from the outside just what's going on to prompt this change.

Kostgorov

Spoiler

The unofficial leader of the East Eurasian Alliance. Kostgorov is a city-state situated in what used to be southern Russia, nestled between its former sovereign and Mongolia. It is, overall, extremely unremarkable, despite being the city everyone else turns to when the EEA needs a singular voice. The reason for this is because of Kostgorov's one point of note. A local figurehead. Simply referred to as Dead Boss, the "ancient sage" of Kostgorov is famously the only human left who witnessed The Crisis firsthand. As such, he is often the one others turn to for counsel on any number of affairs, even though he's not actually the man in charge. Dead Boss is greatly respected within the EEA and Russia alike.

New Aztec Republic

Spoiler

The formation of the NAR is unusual, not because of its circumstances, but because of the complete and total lack of any sort of documentation. During The Crisis, various anomalies led to the full societal collapse of Mexico, and after that point, no records exist of what happened until September of 1930. By that point, the New Aztec Republic was already formed, and was quickly picking up the pieces Mexico's collapse had left behind. However, much of Mexico was left as barren wasteland after The Crisis, and so the NAR turned its attention northward, in the USA's direction. A war of twenty-three years followed, with borders constantly being pushed back and forth during this time, until finally, by demand of the peoples of both nations, peace was made.

Most of the NAR is made up of deserts and wastelands, along the Gulf of Mexico, lush jungles decorate the earth, and some of the Republic's more northern territories feature plains and forests. And most notable of all is the NAR's capital. Named Tenochtitlan after the heart of the historic Aztecs that predated them, the NAR has built their capital over what was once Mexico City, which in turn was once Tenochtitlan. It's rumored that an unstoppable machine of war lies beneath the lake on which the ruins of Old Tenochtitlan are being reconstructed, but nothing exists to confirm these rumors. Supposedly, the machine was constructed to combat the USA and wipe them out entirely, but the demand for peace became too great, and the machine has since lain dormant in an underground base.

At first, the New Aztec Republic was actually a monarchy, but after the war with the USA ended, the founding king declared that the nation would be a republic, and disappeared shortly after the first election was finished. Although the leader of the NAR is elected, they're still referred to as a king or queen.

Iberian Union (Spain & Portugal)

Spoiler

During The Crisis, the Iberian Penninsula broke off from the rest of Europe. Spain and Portugal, suddenly detached from the continent they grew up on, made a formal declaration that they would be handling external affairs as a singular entity in late 1930. Although the Iberian Union exists for external affairs, Spain and Portugal are still very much their own nations, and manage their own land as they always have.

Nova Roma

Spoiler

Nova Roma is a European super-nation formed by several nations in western Europe completely collapsing and exploding into tiny pieces, followed by those pieces going into all-out war with each other to claim control in the chaos, only to all be swept up by a single underdog faction. Styling itself as a new Roman Empire, Nova Roma made the unusual (for the time and place) decision of employing independent mercenaries, then paying those mercenaries in loot plundered from conquered territory. Against all odds, this worked, and Nova Roma swallowed up the entire western half of Europe in just a few short months, additionally expanding into lands that were once submerged beneath the Mediterranean Sea.

Once this rapid expansion was complete, Nova Roma began planting figures of authority throughout the nation to ensure everybody was staying loyal. With great size comes great resources, and Roman leaders wasted no time putting these to use to rapidly improve quality of life for the people, to try and ensure they wouldn't plan any rebellions, while also keeping an immense, heavily-armed military around just in case. The result is a nation where the quality of life is high, but the laws are strictly enforced, and the Triumvirate holds absolute power. Culturally, Nova Roma is a grand melting pot of the pieces that once controlled its vast tracts of land, with attempts made to re-introduce elements of the historical Roman Empire.

Stalag wishes for nothing more than to make friends and understand the world where his people were given a second chance.

Biography:

Spoiler

PSYCHE-LE!!!

Abilities:

Spoiler

The Meteor-Kin's Psychic abilities are mainly tied to their religion that insist cosmic radiation of the Meteor that wiped out them out previously was the source of their awakening.  Due to this, their powers consist mainly of manipulating cosmic energies as they see fit.  They are most strong under a wide open sky, and absorb power from celestial bodies.  Stalag himself isn't the most adept of his species, but is also no slouch.

Sun's Anger: Using the power of the sun's radiance, the user can summon and manipulate fire.  The user can drain themselves of their Cosmic Energies for a time to instead conjure and manipulate Plasma.  Although this always results in the user losing consciousness for a time, unless in direct sunlight where they are unable to use their Psychic Abilities for a full 48 hours.

Moon's Grace: With the gift of the moon's light, the user is able to mend minor wounds and sickness.  Under a full moon, and only once that night, they can heal severe injuries and disease.

Meteor's Wrath:  Using the full might of the meteor that wiped them out, the user musters all of their strength into a mighty charge that literally cannot be stopped.  Becoming an unstoppable juggernaut, they destroy all in their path until they choose to stop.  Upon stopping, a burst of kinetic energy erupts from the user, causing heavy damage in a 100 foot radius around them.

Along with their Psychic abilities, the Meteor-Kin also have innate racial abilites

Tyrant Strength: Meteor Kin have strength normal humans would consider supernatural.  However, their strength pales in comparison to their prehistoric ancestors.  They are still able to lift upwards to about 4 tons.

The Enduring: Meteor-Kin have incredible stamina, but must constantly eat to maintain it.  Their skin is tough and harder to break than a 'Soft-Skin'.

THE SHARP-SHOOTING STAR

Spoiler

sita.png

"There's a lot out there to see, and I wanna see all of it!"

Name: Sita
Age: 27
Gender: Female

Appearance:

Spoiler

Personality:

Spoiler

Sita is an amiable, good-natured soul who just can't leave well enough alone. Ever the wanderer, she goes where her feet take her as guided by the stars above, always trying to leave a trail of good deeds in her wake. If a place is better off when she left it than when she showed up, she'll consider that a job well done. Inevitably, of course, she'll leave; Sita has trouble staying in one place, and so she tries to live a life of as few commitments as possible. And she quite likes this lifestyle, seeing all the world has to offer by day and sleeping under the stars by night.

Abilities:

Spoiler

"Follow the stars; they'll light your way."
Sita grew up being told that the stars are a compass that can lead you to your destination. Although she admits it's a bit childish, this idea stuck with her quite hard, and it eventually became the belief upon which psychic abilities would form. Such a belief gives Sita the following abilities.

Star Compass: As long as Sita is under an open night sky, she'll always know - consciously or not - what direction her destination is in. However, "her destination" and "what Sita thinks she's looking for" may not always be the same thing.

Shooting Stars: Sita has access to limited creation powers. She's capable of creating small orbs of light that are hot to the touch, as well as condensing nearby light into the form of an arrow.

Comet: An ability that lets Sita become like a shooting star herself. In essence, a massive leap that defies human limitation and gravity itself. Sita can apply this ability to objects she touches as well, launching them in a direction of her choice, but doing so can be taxing on her.

Not related to the above psychic abilities, Sita is a well-trained archer and hunter, and a self-taught cook, as well as having a passing knowledge of various other skills.

Casino Royale

Spoiler

"To the winner go the spoils...that said, I'll be taking that off your hands, if you please."

Name: Neal LeBeau | Arsène Beau
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Appearance:

Spoiler

2050693_mdCWxYjn.png
Made using Picrew

Height: 5'8"

Personality:

Spoiler

Despite his criminal activity and escapades, Neal acts and conducts himself in a gentlemanly manner. Chivalrous to a fault, although it's laughable in his line of work, especially in the side that he flirts quite a bit with women…a large amount of this to be precise. He has a silver tongue, which always helps him in the case of getting him what he wants and around certain things. He prefers not to get involved in any confrontations, preferring to get out scot-free of his situations, but unfortunately that's never the case. Because of this, Neal will get into a brawl if the situation arises and calls for it...but only if it calls for it. If it could be helped, he'd like for it to be where he gets out of there without any altercations.

He does have a glaring weakness: being compared to his gambling addicted father. Despite the man giving him his belief, Neal loathes the man to his very core. Unlike his deadbeat of a father, he actually acts like a young man with a vision in mind. He eschews the mannerisms and actions his father tried to teach him, all save for his belief, in order to become the young man he wanted to become…all in hopes of becoming nothing like the deadbeat who raised him. If it gets brought up, gone would the gentleman be, all that would remain is an angry man…furious of the way he was raised.

Biography:

Spoiler

There once was a man from Nantucket…oh and [REDACTED]

Abilities:

Spoiler

"Everything is yours for the taking..."
Neal was presented this belief from his gambling addicted father. It's a strange and out there belief to have taught to a young child, but one that granted the young man with his psychic abilities. Such a belief, even though it was a weird one that gave off a new meaning throughout his time growing, granted Neal the following abilities:

Phantom Theft: A pretty straight little maneuver, which basically just let's Neal steal anything he wants with ease, so long as it's within his eyesight. Things in cases, a simple snatch without the opening of cases...the perfect ability for a thief. There's two versions to be utilized this, though. While the main side of things is to have things snatched up and come to him, the other side of it happens to be pulling himself to an item...somewhat like a grappling hook.

Non-Psychic Abilities

  • Decent Gambler
  • Good at sleight-of-hand
  • Decent knowledge of the law and criminology

Miscellaneous Information
Neal's Theme (Alternative) | Heist Theme

  • Neal's name means the following: Neal - An Irish name meaning "cloud", "passionate", "victory", "honor" or "champion". LeBeau - A French name meaning "the handsome".
  • -
  • This is a retailored character, to an extent. Neal LeBeau has taken a few cues (namely the powers and motif) originated from the old character I made for a Seven Deadly Sins RP, Aiden Nightshade, a greedy gambling fairy.

Australian Wildfire

“Fire is a wondrous thing. It keeps you warm, lights your way, even heats your food. Burning everything in your path to me counts as all three.”

Name: Liza Taylor

Age: 24

Gender: Female

-Appearance-

ZvWEWsf.jpg?s=sms

Height: 5’8”

Weight: 125lbs

-Personality-

Due to what happened to her and her family, Liza is distant when it comes to socializing with others. Not that she’s shy, but because she doesn’t want to become close to other people, fearing the pain of losing another loved one. Besides that, Liza is fairly polite when in conversation and, when it comes to protecting others or fighting those who would bring harm to others, is very brave. She can be a bit reckless though, trying to take on more than she really should, in the hopes that nobody goes through the same pain she went through.

-Biography-

Nothing here, mate.

-Abilities-

Solar Blades - Liza creates superheated blades of pure fire from her hands that can easily cut through thick metal plates. The length of the blades depend on the shape her hands are in. Ex: A blade from the tip of her fingers can reach several inches, while putting all her fingers together can create a blade that can reach over a couple feet in length.

Fire Surf - Liza generates a platform of fire under her feet, allowing her glide through the air at high speeds. She can kick off the platform to launch it as a projectile.

Scorched Earth - By cloaking herself in fire and falling down from the air, Liza ground pounds and releases a fiery explosion around her, burning anything within the vicinity.

Heat Haze - By superheating the air around her, Liza can cause a visual illusion in the area around her. Anyone caught in this area will begin to lose a sense for their surroundings, as if they were stuck in a burning desert.

Plasma Beam - Putting her hands together, Liza begins to fire a constant stream of flames. She starts to concentrate and focus the flames into a single point, slowly turning the flames into a concentrated beam of superheated plasma. The thin beam can easily penetrate and melt anything it hits.

-Misc-

TBD

[Paper Moon]

"Really, officer, I swear I had nothing to do with this! I work right down the street and was passing by on my lunch break!"

[Name:] Tsurumi Sessho (摂政 鶴見)
[Age:] 23
[Appearance:]

tsurumi.png
[Height:] 155 cm (5'1")
[Weight:] 48 kg (106 lbs)

[Personality:]

Impish and incorrigible, Tsurumi is determined to leave her mark on the world - even in places she doesn't have permission to mark. She balks at authority, even if she knows that doing so might put her in danger, and frequently finds herself well out of place.

In conversation, Tsurumi is quick witted and biting, and it can often be difficult to tell how she feels about someone, because she teases and insults most people all the same, may it be an expression of admiration or aggression. If the answer to the question "Wait, where is Tsurumi?" is ever "I don't know" then watch out: she's getting into trouble.

[Abilities:]

"Shape the world into one where you fit in"

Tsurumi's psychic ability is expressed through a hobby she picked up at a young age as the child of Japanese immigrants: origami. She is able to fold any object, living or nonliving (though unwilling psychics are naturally resistant), that she touches into whatever shape she wishes. This effect ignores traditional physical limitations such as volume or rigidity, and allows her to perform a great deal of minor tricks.

The truly miraculous factor of Tsurumi's fold ability, is that when she folds up a creation that takes the form of something living, it takes on the aspects of that organism. In most cases, this results in living origami animals, but there are other applications such as plants. As menacing as these creations may appear to be, they are as harmless as a paper tiger.

In addition to her psychic abilities, Tsurumi is an extremely skilled and experienced artist, her preferred medium being rattle-can spraypaint.

Stalag Mightjaw is a proud member of the Meteor-Kin, and the proudest member of the Mightjaw Clan.  He is very confident in his physical prowess, and a fan of good humor and thrills!  Although his people are new to this world, he has never once been afraid of it.  He walks across the world with nothing but curiosity and excitement tracing his mind.  However carefree and lighthearted he might seem, he has a quick temper when it comes to being insulted.  He'd rather abstain from violence if he has the choice, especially once it comes to one of the weaker 'Soft Skin' races, but won't hesitate to find the quickest resolution for a fight possible.

Stalag wishes for nothing more than to make friends and understand the world where his people were given a second chance.

PSYCHE-LE!!!

Star's Light: Can conjure light sources that dance around the user like constellations.  Stalag's takes the shape of Orion's Belt around...take a big guess.

Wide toolkit, versatile, I like the personality and the bio you sent me. You're in.

Quite possibly my favorite bio in the roster, which is ironic since you notoriously hate writing those and nobody else is gonna see it anyway. Being the only non-psychic of the cast is interesting as well. I'd be a fool to not take this one.

I'm not usually as pleased with my app work as I am with Sita. Her being accepted is a foregone conclusion I just wanted to share that previous bit of info with the rest of the class.

Interesting power! Got some good balance of character traits in the personality. Also your biography is longer than everyone else's combined. I checked. Accepted.

So... I don't know if you tried to DM me on Discord and didn't notice I have my security settings locked up tighter than the average hair metal singer's pants, or what, but I never actually got a bio from you. That, and I could've sworn I said we'd tackle the question & answer of the plasma beam at a later time, which maybe we had some kind of misunderstanding, but I didn't mean to put it in anyway and we'd work out the mechanics of it later. The app is quite fine otherwise, but for these two standout reasons, I can't bring myself to accept it into the RP.

Sai we talked about a fair bit in private, including the nature of his powers. Quite pleased with what you've got on him. Accepted.

Tsurumi is some much-needed gremlin energy. Like the personality, like the bio you sent in, she's good and in.

I'll get all these up in the OOC shortly. I've been putting off writing the bulk of the IC until I knew what exactly our cast entailed, so now that I can do that, expect the thread possibly sometime this week? I don't have a concrete date for this tbh.

Replaced the npcs spoiler in the OP with this google doc. Because it's easier that way.
