The site does cost money each month to upkeep. I don't sell any data, nor do I run any ads - any support you can give to help with the upkeep of things would be greatly appreciated.
There is no max goal for this donation, nor and end point. The rough costs for the site are around 40/50 GBP each month give or take 10 either side depending on the month, there are periods at the start of the year where this does increase significantly due to renewals for the domain and SSL certificates that this site runs off.
The site will remain active and online for as long as I can maintain it. I'm not struggling financially (at least as much as some!) and can maintain this regardless.

The creature was down. As Ziun repeatedly struck it with ice they could see more and more shadowy substance seeming to leak out of the creature and evaporate. Still it stayed down as though it didn't have the strength to get to its feet. This didn't mean they were out of the danger though. The three shadows for some time started towards Lana and then doubled back towards Chris only to turn to Lana again. After a moment, though, they all split off. One of them each heading for each of the group. They would notice that the shadows were moving more smoothly now. Still twitchy and jerky in their movements but not as awkward as before. Which meant that they were gaining ground faster than ever. -

Catherine was busy trying to wrap her head around this "mothman" thing. That's what the old guy referred to the thing she had seen as. It hasn't really looked like a moth. Or a man. Maybe something in between. As she, shockingly silent, followed close behind their guide without really thinking about it she considered what this meant. Was it some sort of combination? Were people able to mix themselves with other things to make something new? For a moment she stared at their guide. If she took the girl's arm off could she replace it with someone else's? Is that it worked? She thought back to the two she had talked to earlier and considered what a combination between the two would look like. And that's when it hit her. That's what babies were! Which meant...that 'mothman' was what happened when a man had a baby with a moth. Catherine nodded to herself. Happy to have finally figured it out. She realized they had stopped. They were in a room with a bunch of tables. She noticed that the chairs in this room were attached to the tables. "Did people steal the chairs here too much?" she wondered out loud. Evidentially this was the place to eat. A strange concept to Catherine considering she had seen her old people eat in all sorts of places. Were students unable to eat in other rooms? Catherine backed up as the flames emerged. She had been warned to stay away from fire. One time her arm caught fire and her old people had scrambled to put it out. She wasn't entirely sure why but they seemed to think that it would be problematic for her so they had, back when they were still bothering to teach her things, taught her to avoid it whenever possible. Then a man came from the flames and offered them food. Catherine immediately took some of the meat and, without waitiing for it to cool, put some in her mouth and chewed. She couldn't actually eat it but that didn't stop her from trying. Unfortunately as she chewed she noted a distinct lack of flavor. Probably due to her lack of taste buds. This didn't stop her from looking at the man and taunting, "did you want it to not taste like anything?" She was smirking. She knew that people really hated when the things they made got insulted. Unfortunately for her this seemed to have quite the opposite effect. "Oh, so you say it tastes like nothing?" Wilnas stroked his chin thoughtfully as he listened. "Ah, improvement, improvement! Most people say it tastes of ash! Soon, we shall have it tasting like a full course meal!" He let out a hardy laugh. Catherine was annoyed. How many times would her grade A insults be ignored because they were delivered to people who could not even understand they were being insulted? "That wasn't supposed to be a good thing. Is there some cluelessness gas in the air of this place? Do muscles make you dumber?" She turned to the others around and asked, "is tasting like nothing a good thing around here?!" -

Naturally, the vines seemed to do little in the way of slowing the Nightwalker down... much to Ziun's dismay. However, the Color Spray and the swarm of bats did help somewhat. The distractions were had, thankfully. And the Shadows no longer were chasing him, which was a true blessing for sure. What was not so much of a blessing... was the impending and incoming foot of the Nightwalker preparing to stomp down on his head. "Again with the foot stomping!" Ziun groaned out, as he practically dove out of the way of the falling foot. Rolling to a stop, he tried to pick himself back up. "I swear... this creature must think me one of the other bards that enjoy that kind of thing..." he muttered, before noticing something fortuitous. Chris' attack connected and down... down... down... came the Nightwalker. This was a perfect sight! The Nightwalker's other knee went down to the ground and it's hands slammed down onto the pathway to brace itself. The creature hung it's head low... almost as if it was stunned. This was a perfect moment, they could potentially finish it off right now... or at least wound it bad enough. Either way, Ziun was overjoyed at this. "First... let's try and keep you in place." Ziun said, conjuring up the vines to wrap themselves around the Nightwalker's hands and firmly hold it. "Next..." He proceeded to shoot icicle after icicle at the creature's face. Ziun didn't have his rapier anymore... he didn't have a bladed weapon... he didn't even have any real FIRE power to incinerate this Nightwalker. But he was doing his best... he had to. And with the Shadows no longer at his back... he was free to unleash a full on volley of icicles into the giant creature's face. "Stay... down!!!!"
