Donation Goals
Site UpkeepThanks for even considering a donation. The site does cost money each month to upkeep. I don't sell any data, nor do I run any ads. For more info, click "Show More"
The site does cost money each month to upkeep. I don't sell any data, nor do I run any ads - any support you can give to help with the upkeep of things would be greatly appreciated.
There is no max goal for this donation, nor and end point. The rough costs for the site are around 40/50 GBP each month give or take 10 either side depending on the month, there are periods at the start of the year where this does increase significantly due to renewals for the domain and SSL certificates that this site runs off.
The site will remain active and online for as long as I can maintain it. I'm not struggling financially (at least as much as some!) and can maintain this regardless.

Would someone be able to delete the old Pharaoh's Insight thread that I posted? I tried to edit it but it caused a bunch of stuff to break. I was trying to add too much. It changed a ton since when I originally posted it. Sorry.

Made a makeshift Mountain Dew Spark with raspberry syrup and lemon juice. Can't make any more for you tho, all out of lemon juice.

An alternate history. It's 2005 again, shortly after SJC Indianapolis. Instead of Cybernetic Revolution being the next set to come out, it's a set called Pharaoh's Insight. One that’s promised to empower a wide variety of strategies found in the game already. Sets are also announced to be coming out much slower from now on, giving players time to hone strategies and keep playing the cards they love and cherish without losing relevance quite so easily. This thread may be outdated, so be sure to CLICK HERE for the doc of the current rules. At A Glance The Goal A format that expands upon Goat Format with a new banlist, new cards, and even new rules, but remains fundamentally the same sort of gameplay expected from Goat Format. Expand on strategies and card types that are considered to be weak or unplayable, while also limiting the number of generically good cards so players will be more incentivized to build a theme. New cards will also be added over time to keep the format from being completely stale. Now that it's been 6 years, I've experienced a lot more of Goat Format, and my game design philosophy has changed a bit, I have decided to start working on a brand-new, improved, and much easier to jump into version of my Hindsight Format. New Cards The following cards are from the initial 150 card set to be added to the format: Pharaoh's Insight. Every 6-12 months, a new 30 card set will be released into the format with cards suggested by players, with cards ranging from those just wanted for aesthetic purposes, those to boost niche or casual strategies, and those meant to help push weak decks into a more meta status. New Rules While the rules will generally remain the way they are for Goat Format, such as priority rules and period-accurate rulings, all cards newly added to the format will use their current card text and rulings except where contradicted by Goat Format. However, certain rules and rulings have the potential to be altered in the future, as we will be acting as UDE ourselves in this alternate history format! This means we could potentially have our own "Master Rules" to improve the game down the line. Currently, there are only 3 rules changes: - Players can play 1 copy total of 1 "Legacy Card" (name pending change) in their deck. This bypasses the rules for Forbidden cards. The legacy cards are Change of Heart, Monster Reborn, Ring of Destruction, and Snatch Steal. - Deck size is limited to 60 cards max and the Fusion Deck will be limited to 15 cards max. - Twin-Headed Behemoth is a hard once per duel effect, meaning only a single copy can use its effect. The Forbidden / Limited List The following Forbidden/Limited list is currently in use for the format. It has the possibility of being changed every 6 months when a new set is released, or when emergency action is needed. Cards that are altered from the usual Goat Format banlist are included at the end to help players coming in from Goat to easily read. Goodstuff List Players have 6 Goodstuff points which they can spend on cards from this list to include a copy of that card in either their main deck or side deck. Each individual copy of a card will cost either 3, 2, or 1 point as indicated in the list below! This system helps to prevent players from loading up an entire deck with the same good cards, and encourages both building toward a theme as well as using less often seen cards. You can view the Goodstuff List here. Forbidden = 3 pts, Limited = 2, Semi=Limit = 1 -
