There's white things in the air," the phrasing of which and the state of Halloweentown both implying he doesn't know what snow is. However, less than 30 seconds later he observes that "There's children throwing snowballs instead of throwing heads" meaning he knows what those are. Nobody has spotted Jack during this time or mentioned what snow is, so how can he know what snowballs are but not snow?
