  1. "Our task is simple. We are to escort Edda to the Port Town of Enta. It'll be a long trip, so get ready for more walking than normal." With those simple words, their expedition had begun, Ada wearing a more Aeoran cloak to protect her skin. The shaman felt like she had spent the least amount of time with Edda out of anyone in the group, mostly due to the distractions with Raynor, who she was... still undecided on. He was a good guy, especially if his care for Gojira was any indicator, but she could not make sense of his motivations. However, the way he was interacting with Edda seemed to imply he had meant nothing by it. Which was great. She had no interest in him anyway. Right...? As Ada grit her teeth a little, she barely even registered that Yue had spoken to her. "Um...uh..." The archer began, then muttered the rest. "Nice weather...we're...having?" "Huh? O-oh, yeah. The sun's not as bright as it normally is, so I don't feel like my skin is getting too much heat, haha," Ada replied nervously, unsure of what to say to the shy girl. "But I would think you'd like it a bit brighter, wouldn't you?"
  2. Diana made sure to stay ahead of Suda as they wandered. While she wasn't fond of having him behind her, she didn't want him leading the expedition, either. Seemed like they would never get anything done that way. However, it didn't take long before they encountered something... strange. "You...you believe yourselves to heroes...yes?" The creature spoke to her mind, a heavy feeling hitting Diana hard. "Do not follow me..." Diana had experienced feelings like this before, but the way it hit her this time was just as strange as the creature. It fled nigh immediately, while Diana stayed in place, trying to figure out what happened. Was this a test? If so, why would it give off such a weird vibe...? "We can't let that thing get away!" Suda's voice snapped Diana out of it as the boy ran off ahead of her, chasing the beast. Despite her earlier thoughts, she was the one who fell behind and let Suda steal the lead. Gritting her own teeth, Diana slammed her fist into her leg, crying out a bit. She took a deep breath and then shot forward, quickly catching up with Suda, though ever so slightly behind. "<Let's go!>"

  4. "Hi!" He said. "I'm Ludomon! ... Are you two partners?" Wormmon nearly molted as the shield digimon showed up suddenly, squealing and clinging to Mackenzie. The redheaded girl had been a little surprised herself, but... Wormmon's actions caught her much more off guard. It wasn't unpleasant, but it still seemed different. "D-don't scare me like that!" The bug huffed as she climbed back down from Mackenzie, puffing her proverbial chest out, "I-I'm just trying to l-learn about the humans, so we can figure out what's g-going on! Th-there's no way she would want a p-partner like m-me, anyway..." "Um, if I may," Mackenzie spoke, Ludomon apparently counting as an animal to her brain as well, "What do you mean by partner?"
  5. "I... think so," Raynor commented. "Basically... as long as I know the spells by heart, having its tome lets me skip chants... and I can do stronger versions, but only when I have the book the spell is from opened," With a chuckle, he looked at his book again. "So guess I'll have a lot of cramming to do if I wanna be casting magic. Thanks for all this help," he added. Ada cast him a sideways glance as he looked over the tome, before raising her hand to her ear to play with the charm a little. Maybe he really was just trying to be nice... Or to butter her up to teach him. It certainly didn't seem like he meant anything else by it, no matter how hamfisted it was. With a small sigh, Ada nodded and looked over to him with a soft smile. "It's no problem. If you want to learn, I'm willing to teach you. But, I need you to understand that this is going to be a lot of work both from me and on your own, got it?" Ada turned to leave the stables and head back to see how Eda was holding up, but she paused for a moment. Looking back over her shoulder, she looked back at her fellow northener, a slight blush on her cheeks. Maybe... Maybe it would be nice. But who knew? "Hey, uh... Just don't go too deep too fast. The elder magics can be a bit difficult to control if you get in over your head, alright?" She added on, trying to disguise her glance.
  6. That’s not a question, but too bad! It is more than a simple name change!
  7. New me, new AMA! and before you ask, the short stories are not abandoned, i just don't have a ton of free time rn
  8. "Today you will be splitting into two teams. Team 1 will consist of the following: Suda Hiroharu, Katsurou Yamauchi, Diana Seigi, Valerie Clark, Misu Yoshino, and Yuudai Shiba." "This is Ewok Forrest. It's a national state park, untouched by civilization. However, we've heard reports from park rangers about a strange presence within the forest. We might be dealing with squatters, but let's see what we can scrounge up. Don't walk out too far now! We don't know if what we're lookin' for is out here!" Diana sighed as they arrived at their location, not too pleased with her team. Katsurou was nice, Valerie seemed cool, Yuudai existed, but there were... certain others she would rather not be with. Hopefully they would be able to branch off and investigate in groups, even if it wasn't too far. And, wouldn't you know it, two groups immediately formed, with one heading to the river, while the other stood to the side chatting. Which meant, Diana was going to be left with... "Groups of two, huh... that's a good idea!" Suda said to himself, turning to the rest of the group. "We should split into groups of two and look around." He smirked, pointing his thumb towards himself. "I'm gonna go deeper through the trees..." It was then the boy noticed that the only person left in the group was Diana. "Huh, I could have sworn we had more people..." He said, before shaking his head. He turned to Diana. "...ya comin' with?" "I guess so," Diana muttered, any fire she had for the exercise snuffed out. Even Misu would have been preferable to Suda, but this is where she ended up. She walked past him, heading into the treeline first. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe. "Let's get a move on, then."
  9. "Go ahead, eat whatever you may like! But please, try not to talk shop during of breakfast. There will be plenty of time afterwards for Signer things. Please, just enjoy your food and get to know each other." With breakfast beginning, a good amount of the group had rushed ahead to grab food... lots of it. Did they not eat at their facilities? That must be the case. From what Shannon could tell, few or none of them had cooperated with the tests going on. She couldn't fathom why, but it didn't matter much. If this food could bring them a small joy, best to just leave them to it, right? Shannon, however, opted to just grab a raisin bagel and a packet of cream cheese, along with a cup of water. With a quiet hum, she cut the bagel, then smeared the cream cheese onto it before setting it down on the plate. Silently, she placed the palms of her hands together in front of her face, letting her eyes close softly, a peaceful look on her face. A quick, quiet prayer over the food that each of them were eating later, Shannon began to eat her modest breakfast, content to listen in to what else was going on around her. That was, until one particular question was asked. "So, how did things go?" "Why, far better than anyone could have hoped," Shannon gently wiped at her mouth with her napkin, gently placing it in her lap before she continued to speak, "Leiko and Zirco are both blessed with being chosen and having lots of potential. Why, it was a shining example of what our new family is capable of!" Shannon beamed as she finished speaking, returning to her bagel, oblivious to the fact that the question was directed at Zirco and Leiko.
  10. Today is the first day where I’ve had a lot of bullshit happen to me since I started feeling better about everything.

But I’m not letting it get me down. I’ve also had a lot of things make me feel better and better about myself in the past 1.5-2 weeks, and I don’t want to go back to how I was. I believe in myself, and that’s something I’m never letting go of again.

  11. https://www.quotev.com/quiz/5739130/Your-Major-Arcana-The-Social-Link-you-establish-unto-your-friends Simple enough, right? Just takes the quiz and post the results! My Results:
  12. Simply out, I feel like writing more lately. If you can give me a premise for a short story, I may consider writing it. I intend to follow through as much as possible, so it's really just discretion as needed.
  13. That's pretty dorky. Gaaaah, I fucking met with defeat today, and I don't even feel daunted. It's fucking amazing! I just have to do my best to not be defeated again. And, even if I am, it's an opportunity to just keep trying! I'm just happy. I wanna keep working and doing and learning and growing. I wanna make things to touch hearts. I want to write and compose and aaaaaaaaaaaa And I feel like I can do anything. I just can't express how unlimited I feel right now.
  14. Tfw I’m met with defeat, but I don’t feel like I’m out. This is new.

  15. I just feel... happy. And it's unlike anything I've felt before. I feel like I've become who I wanted to be. Who I always believed I was at heart. I've spent the last hour on/off crying happily, and I just feel the need to ramble and post it. Not quite sure how much of my history I've publicly posted, but, honestly... Don't think it super matters? It's mostly water under the bridge at this point. My old fears and hang-ups are disappearing. I can feel some of them just burning away like old photos. My heart is clear, my brain told me I was a good person for the first time in my life, and... Well, it's fitting what this Year in events was supposed to be, even though it hasn't gotten much haha. I guess what I'm trying to say is just that... I'm happy. I was able to help someone who needed it, and I hope that I can keep being there for them. I'm able to happily, freely talk about the things I love. I have dreams and aspirations that feel... real now! This sense of hope is overwhelming, and I don't even know how to express it in full. In fact, not knowing how to express things is... kinda the biggest issue right now. I can even see the path that leads me here. From childhood. From all the things I've gone through, all the things I've experienced, read, watched, lived. I can see how I came to be who I am. I can see things I buried and things that I simply forgot. I'm just... here. And I've become who I want to be. Who I knew I was. Someone that people have said some very... Kind things about, when I'm baring my soul, which really made me cry. The fear, the pain, the scars, they're just... gone. The things holding me back are gone. I feel like I can talk about anything I want, express myself as much as I can, wax poetically about the things I love. I feel like, no jokes intended, I can do anything. Anything I set my mind to. Even things I never dreamed of in my life as actually possible. Hell, as possible for me in any life. Yet, here I am. Feeling happy. Free. Clear. Knowing who I am. Knowing that I always knew who I was, even if I lost my way. Even if I missed a few details. I wasn't exactly right, but... The lessons I've learned can be used to help people. The stories I've heard and told can be used to teach. The experiences I've had can be used to guide others. And I'm just... happy. So... hi. I'm Blake. No more Marsuvees Black.
  16. Goood, I am so much more talkative than I used to be, especially after dealing with some stuff in the past week. Kinda weird how it feels, especially considering I'm less worried about being a nuisance, too.

  17. profile change time op

  18. "You obviously have the potential with Clear Mind. You forced me to summon my own dragon without summoning your own. That's no easy feat. So, are you going to run away and let others suffer for you, or are you going to fight and improve so others don't suffer any more?" "I managed Clear Mind... And I couldn't summon a single dragon..." "Who said I can't try? I... I owe it to these people... right? To try for what they've all been through... I used Accel Synchro. I can... summon a dragon too, right? One day?" Shannon held her comments as the scene unfolded before her. She almost cut in as Morodate spoke to Leiko, but the girl managed to find her voice at that time. It was shaky, and not the most confident, but... Shannon still found herself smiling. She waited until Leiko had finished her bit before clapping her hands together, speaking up before the retainer could cut in again. "Of course you'll be able to. You're chosen, just like the rest of us, aren't you?" Shannon motioned to the rest of the group around the garage, before softly placing a hand on Leiko's shoulder. She gave an approving smile and nod to the girl, before giving Zirco the same. She had fully expected him to come out with rage, but she was more than glad to see him overcoming the turmoil in his heart. This event that began in so much bile looked like it might actually lead to the cohesion Shannon wanted. "We're a family now. Like it or not, we've all been chosen, linked together. So let's make the best of it!" Stepping away from Leiko, she extended a hand to Zirco, offering a shake, "And you're both amazing. So let's not dwell on this negativity, alright?"
  19. "Well, these are certainly words of some kind," He joked. "All ancient text... Once you know the spells, the tome itself will be basically a chant skipper," Ada tried to keep herself from focusing on the awkwardness, steeling her nerves as she continued talking, "For example, I can recite the incantation for that tome by heart at this point. Since you can see the structure, try to follow along with my words." Holding her hand out in front of her, palm upward, Ada closed her eyes and began to chant. She spoke more slowly than normal, enunciating so that Raynor would have an easier time following along. Once she had spoken quite a bit, dark magic began to form above the palm of her hand, taking the form of a black ball. Similar to when she invoked the weapon arts, her hair began to flow gently, as if a light breeze was blowing... until she closed her palm suddenly, dispersing the magic as she ended her chant. "Now, if I was holding your tome, I would be able to cast the spell instantly, so long as I use the book as a conduit. And, on top of that..." Ada reached into her bag, pulling out her Dusk tome and cracking it open, "There are stronger versions of the spells by performing the chant with the tome open. This won't work for you while you're learning, because you need the tome to even cast the spell... But once you've mastered a spell, it becomes available. Does that make sense?"
  20. hi hiiiii glad you're back as if that wasn't obvious
  21. "It might... help," Ms. Grace placed a book on the table next to Mackenzie and Wormmon, startling both, though the latter showed it more. "U-um... th-thank you...?" The insect mumbled, wiggling in place a little as Mackenzie simply looked at Grace, her face back to its usual emotionless status. However, if one looked closely enough, they could see the slightest hint of a blush on her cheeks. As the librarian left, Mackenzie looked to the book, raising an eyebrow. "The Cat in the Hat, huh...? I guess a children's book would be the best place to start, rather than a young adult's novel." "Huh? Humans have levels like that?" "Uh... we kinda just... grow. What do you mean by levels?" "Digimon change and become more powerful! We digivolve to become stronger and get new forms! I'm just a rookie right now, though..." "Is that so..." Mackenzie muttered under her breath, before opening the book and placing it on the table, mulling over the new information. These creatures were... strange, although this one seemed completely harmless. Just curious, like her. However, this 'digivolution' was something she should probably ask about... later. "So, let's start, shall we? 'The sun did not shine...'" "Oooh, so that's what that means... What strange letters!" The cuteness got to Mackenzie again, giving the girl a small laugh, before she went back to reading the book, tracing her finger under the lines as she read. Wormmon ate it up, the duo oblivious to the rest of the events in the school.
  22. Life is a little weird. It's a little wild.

  23. "Claaaass~! Before your introduction into real Hero work, we're going to do something real fun today! We're having Quirk Evaluations today! Not everyone in the class knows the extent of each other's quirks are, and I only know the Quirk itself! But I want to see you push it in today's exam!" The teacher had wasted no time getting the day started, and that was fine by Diana. A grin on her face, the girl tied her hair into a ponytail, leaving it properly styled, hair where she liked it. "Here we have the Strike Indicator! We'll measure your striking power here!" Diana nodded, that was expected. "This is the Target Practice! Only using your Quirk, you'll have to try and hit all of the moving targets! If you can't that's okay! Just try whatever you feel will do the trick!" Then Hitotsume revealed the last leg of the examination, an obstacle course. Diana smirked, feeling confident in her abilities for the two she could tackle, even if she had to miss out on one of them. "So who's up first?" "I think I'll hold back for a few..." Diana muttered, speaking to no one in particular. She wanted to be the first one, for sure, but she figured it would be best to watch and see how it goes for a few others before she threw her hat in. Valerie, Yuudai, Itsuki, Lesnar, Hibiki, and Suda all managed to go before her, with varying results throughout. Stepping up behind them, she placed her right hand on her shoulder, stretching her left arm. Pulling her left arm back, she took a deep breath, and... "<Ee-koo-zo!>" The girl called out as she slammed her left fist into the punching bag, making it wobble hard, giving her the highest score of those trying so far. Turning around and flashing a V with her right hand, Diana gave a toothy grin to her classmates. However, she didn't rest on her laurels at all, making her way to the obstacle course in a flash. Diana gave a short sprint to get her up the ramp, using the strength in her arms to pull herself up to the top of it a bit more quickly. She was pleasantly surprised to see a course requiring strength in her arms. While it wasn't the easiest in the world, she flung herself across the obstacle in large leaps, before landing, only to be rewarded with more need for arm strength. And another. And another! And, before she knew it, the course was already over. While she was a bit winded, she still managed to get an above average score on the test, between her enhanced strength and athletic physique. Without the ability to hit the targets from a distance, she instead headed back to where she was, giving Yuuka a pat on the back. "Go get 'em!"
