  1. Arthur Ancyl Was this the end? Would they finally be able to killl Isamy, and end this war? After surviving Protheus, he wasn't sure how much of a fight left he still had in him. Perhaps, if Aetos could be formed again, they would have a chance, but Aetos was created for the sole purpose of battling Protheus. Who could say if the same could be done against Isamy? He was sure that a song was not going to carry the same power of stopping Isamy like it did with her father. The Void Inclusion that Itsu promised had to be Arthur's own power. Just his. But if he could tap into it, would that mean they could win? It wouldn't be too different than Protheus's sword; they would be putting the effect before the cause. The only way they could realize the future was by using its power to make it come true. Arthur chuckled, but he felt he had to force it. "Making our future with our own hands is everything I've had on my mind since we defeated the Madara." And yet, it didn't feel right. It wasn't the power of the future that he desired. Just knowing that he could even use it at all was enough to satisfy him. There was another power he needed. It wouldn't be Aetos, but it would bring him just as much satisfaction. MirageGaogamon MirageGaogamon was afraid. Of facing Isamy. Of what the future could hold. Of saying goodbye to Arthur. No matter how many times he knew he had to accept it, no matter how many times the Pathways themselves showed him that he had to let Arthur go, MirageGaogamon simply could not accept that. Sure, he'd say as much, and Arthur would hear him. But did either of them actually accept that? The Digital World was no home for Arthur. It was an anchor. Arthur was a demigod. He already had to choose between living at Camp Half-Blood, or getting his old life back. Before meeting Apollo. Before meeting MirageGaogamon… or rather, Strabimon. MirageGaogamon had accepted his new form, but he could never shake the feeling that this body was weaker than he had been before, no matter how stronger he got. That even the Burst Mode has only a candle to MagnaGarurumon's flame. The Pathways to Truth and Remembrance made that clear. MirageGaogamon reached out, hoping to see what the power of the future offered ahead of him. Gazimon, Strabimon, and Gaomon. He had lived three lives, and who was to say that a fourth laid ahead of him? A life without Arthur. Where they could both let go. Where they could live their own lives, and still be happy. "MirageGaogamon." He stopped. It was Arthur approaching him. "I know what you're thinking. We could both take the power of the future. It's what you and I have both been needing, after all. But… we've only made it this far because of the past. I thought I was running from my life. Using you as a shoulder to cry on. So it's always felt like… I have to keep telling myself that throwing you away is the only way I can grow up. If you were to take the power of the future, what kind of future are you expecting?" MirageGaogamon couldn't answer. How was he supposed to? Should he have said it would be a future without Arthur? It wouldn't be any different from what Arthur was saying. It would mean he would have to give up Arthur, too. That wasn't letting go. That was giving up. "Would it be any better if we used the power of the past instead?" he asked, but the words tasted bitter. "Sorry. That came out wrong." "Why are you apologizing?" Arthur replied. "You know I'm never the one people apologize to. That's my job. But… I do think the power of the past is what you and I need. As a reminder that even if our futures take both of us on different paths, we'll always be a part of each other. It isn't about letting go. It's just about accepting that we don't have to be together every single second of the day." MirageGaogamon stared at Arthur for a moment. "You make it all sound so simple. How many promises like are we going to keep making?" "Depends on how many times we have to keep asking each other that question." Arthur held out his hand. "I know it might sound empty, but I truly believe that we'll be fine. Human, demigod, having you for a partner, and holding the Keyblade. I'll handle all of it. None of that is in competition. I'd rather we used the power of the past, to remember why we even got this far. Not as a crutch for myself. Not to keep holding myself back. I just don't want to think that finally growing up means I'll have to start running away from you, too." MirageGaogamon sighed. "And you're sure you're fine with that?" "You know what I loved most about when we were Aetos?" Arthur smiled. "The Bio-Merge. Fighting by your side as one… I've missed that. But thanks to the Demon Lords, we've never been able to do that again. It's like we're… incompatible." "So you wish to use the power of the past to see if we can Bio-Merge again?" MirageGaogamon crossed his arms over each other. "That could work, judging by what Itsu is telling us. Are you sure you're okay with this? There's one thing I can't help but notice you didn't mention." Arthur pursed his lips. Eria. Neither of them had to say it, but Arthur was more worried about her. Even before the Origin War, Arthur's world was already connected to the Digital World. He had no way of knowing if there was a similar connection to Eria's world, but he was certain that none would exist without either Isamy's Distortions, or Megiddo's power. "Whatever the future has in store for Eria and I… we'll figure that out, together." "I understand what you're getting at with using the power of the past for our sakes, but why not see what the power of the future could do for you and Eria?" "I don't know if I'm ready for that." MirageGaogamon smiled. "Then I think I understand now. Arthur, you're brave enough to balance everything else the multiverse has to offer. But love? You're still learning about that. How about this? If you want to use the power of the past, then I'm willing to do that. If we can, perhaps we'll be able to become MagnaGarurumon once more. But I think you should talk with Eria about the power of the future first. We should have enough time to make a decision. We've been separated from too many of our allies here long enough, so I'm going to see if there's anyone I can catch up with." Arthur nodded. "That sounds like a plan. We'll catch up in a bit."

The Light Within is really good. I enjoyed Sliske's Endgame, though I am disappointed by the significant drop-off in the frequency of quests. They're supposed to be making some changes this month that should make it easier for them to develop quests in the future, and I hope they live up to that. Also I got the Tetsu helm a while ago. My general progression of armor will be a mix of Tier 70-80 gear, which is just Korasi and Jessika's Swords. After that it will be Bane equipment, though I only have the longswords, platebody, and platelegs, since everything else is being gradually replaced with Tetsu. Elder Rune's only purpose for me is making burial armor and unlocking the ability to make Masterwork armor, so I can skip Elder Rune and go straight from Tetsu to Masterwork. I already have some Torva armor in the bank, so I'd just need to get Malevolent Armor to have all the materials for masterwork trims, but those are a long way off. I have 88 Attack and Strength and 87 Defence, so it's not like I could actually use the Masterwork armor for a while anyway. As far as the weapons are concerned, the Khopeshes seem like the best for dual-wielding melee, so I'm going to try getting those when I take a break from all this Mining and Smithing. I have 98 Mining and 94 Smithing, so I think I should have 99 Mining in plenty of time before DXPW.

Done with both Necronium and Bane, so that just leaves Elder Rune, which I think I can fit in for DXPW. Getting the ores now and saving them to make 5-10 burial sets over DXPW should be more than enough to get me 99 in both Mining and Smithing.

Orikalkum is done. Now focusing on Necronium, Bane, and Rune/Elder Rune. Just need two more Plates for the Tetsu helm, but I need to upgrade Ports more so I can get trade good voyages more regularly.

Bronze through Adamant are all accounted for as far as gathering Masterwork materials. Rune is going to be weird because I need to save regular rune by itself, while also having enough to make all the Elder Rune I need, especially I have an Elder Rune Pickaxe +4 that I need to get to +5. I'm currently getting the rest of Orikalkum I'll need, so that should be no trouble. I had a lot of Strong Smelting Urns saved over from before the rework, but rather than tossing them, I figured that making five Necronium burial sets should be enough to use those up, then I'll move on to Decorated urns. Might as well round out the rest of the Bane bars I'll need, too. Also could help me get into a routine once I'll no doubt need to start making Elder Rune burial sets. I'll have to make at least one anyway, since Elder Rune armor is required to even make the corresponding Masterwork pieces. I might need to give Rise of the Six a try, since I want to earn the Malevolent Armor myself. I can only make the helmet at my level, which seems to be a pattern for me right now. I have 87 Attack and Defense, and 88 Strength, so Tetsu Armor is where I should be focusing for armor that I can actually wear, and I'm still working on getting enough Plate to make the helm. Planning to disassemble that whole set once I can move on to Masterwork, so I should be able to make the most out of every armor set from here on out.
  6. I did consider that, but I think searching it is enough. There do need to be some limits here, and like you said, summoning it during the opponent's turn would be an off-chance, so ultimately I don't think it would be worth it.
  7. Zombie Necro Dragon's ATK only applies to itself, so changing it to a drain on the opponent does far more to cripple your opponent, and I think the burn damage does add value, but I see your point that using the Synchro instead of the base Zombie Dragon makes it feel less rewarding. EDIT: Revised the card with the following changes: Changed the initial type to Dragon so that it can synergize with Dragon's Mirror as well as Zombie World. Rather than specifically requiring Zombie Necro Dragon, you can use either of the Zombie Dragons to summon this, so that covers the REF synergy. Removed the Level restriction for the Archfiend material so that are other options are easier to splash into any deck this card may fit in. To retain the idea behind this being a Synchro Fusion, there is an added ability to search Zombie World. The effect applies if you use any Synchro monster used as the material, so you're not limited to using Zombie Necro to benefit from the effect, though the phrasing of this effect felt awkward to me, which leads to me my next point. Some grammatical touch-up to include "Synchro Monster(s)" and "Zombie monster(s)", which should fix some timing issues.
  8. Sure, Lord of Magician seems nice and all, but what really matters is that this means Warrior's Strike R is most likely next. Give me a Phoenix Gearfried retrain, please.

Speaking of which, I should probably port over the Machina Support I made a ways back on YCM over; see if I can get some reviews on it this time.

  9. The Battle Phase stun was inspired by Maju Kaiser Garzett, since I felt it was the most direct upgrade of Archfiend Black Skull Dragon's effect. I'll consider making it a Dragon that could be treated as a Zombie, since I did have Zombie World in mind for what this could be compatible with (In which case it might not need its own effect to be treated as a Zombie), so I like your point about Dragon's Mirror. I've never been good at understanding timing issues, but I see your point, and "If" would be consistent with the full effect.
  10. I was wondering if that could have been Sandman and Hydro Man as well, but I could very well see it being Mysterio creating his own threats to fight, to make himself appear as the hero instead. That would be a pretty solid motive for Mysterio. Naturally I'm pretty excited for this. Love that Aunt May knows that Peter is Spider-Man in the MCU, so seeing some cute nods about that is greatly appreciated.
  11. 1 “Red-Eyes” Zombie monster + 1 “Archfiend” monster If this card is Fusion Summoned using a Synchro Monster(s) as Fusion Material: You can add 1 "Zombie World" from your Deck or GY to your hand. All monsters your opponent controls lose 100 ATK/DEF for each Zombie monster on the field and in the GYs. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects during the Battle Phase. If a Zombie monster(s) is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 Zombie monster from either GY to your field, and if you do, you can inflict damage to your opponent equal to its original ATK, and if you do that, banish it face-down during the End Phase. You can only use each effect of "Scarred-Eyes Archfiend Darkness Dracolich" once per turn. Version 1 With as many Red-Eyes as there are, I feel that some of them should be streamlined, especially since the main criticism that I hear is that they have no singular strategy. This is meant to be a mix of both Red-Eyes Zombie Necro Dragon and Archfiend Black Skull Dragon, though favoring the former more than the latter.

Going to try saving Herblore for DXPW, because ooh boy is that always a money sink. Trying to mix it with Farming just does not help all that much. I'm currently at 93 Mining and 91 Smithing. I think getting the rest of the bars for Masterwork Armor should bring me to 99 Mining, though with Smithing lagging behind, I'm going to try making some burial armor sets to help it catch up.
  13. They're more surface details at the moment, but seeing there are some sections for specific card games, and given how things went down on YCM, I'm pretty happy with seeing Debates absent on NCM. The way I see it, NCM is ostensibly an alternative to YCM, but I truly believe it has the potential form its own distinct identity.
  14. Still figuring out my personal style for a Dark Warrior deck. I love the idea of Dark Law + Gumblar, but haven't quite gotten it to work just yet. Finally going to start playing locals this week, so that'll be fun.

You need 600 of every bar to make a complete set of Masterwork Armor, though that would mean 1,200 Rune Bars to have the regular bars by themselves, as well as to make Elder Rune, and twelve more Elder Rune bars if you want to trim it. If you have all that Orichalcite and Drakolith, might as well save it for that. 6,000 bars is... a lot, but that's exactly why they want the Masterwork Armor to be such a major reward. Right now I'm working on getting Decorated Mining Urns. Seems they finally added Decorated Smelting Urns to complement the new metals. I've had 90 Smithing before the rework, so I'm training the skill by making all the bars myself. Going to be maxing out Bane Armor because I wan't wear Elder Rune just yet, but I'm also trying to making some Tetsu Armor in the meantime.

Yes, you will need them to match. While you can purchase ores on the Grand Exchange, if you would like to mine the ores yourself, Mining has to be level 60, 70, 80, or 90 for the new ore, especially the light and dark animica.

    Runescape 3

Alright, now I'm working on Bane. It amazes me how the base Bane equipment is just as good as, if not better than Torva. I can see why they wanted to maintain the value of Torva by making it scrap for the masterwork trims.

That actually kind of surprises me. Either way, glad that the Elite Dungeons have been boosting the equipment for Ranged and Magic players. Haven't gotten to Bane myself yet. Working my way through the lower tiers first. You might like the rework, then, as it's designed to be more rewarding to AFK players, since the rocks do not deplete. It does do more to reward you if you pay attention, but if you just want a casual experience, it's pretty nice.
  19. Happy to see this new forum. There was a lot of foreboding over YCM being on its last legs, and while I imagine the site will be back up sooner or later, I can't say I blame everyone for migrating over here. For those of you who know me, I'm hoping to not bring over any baggage from YCM. For a while, I was of the mind that I only really wanted to stay for the GCRP, and while I am determined to see that through to the end - assuming it can be salvaged on here somehow - I realize that I had retreated into only a couple of sections on YCM, and hardly for the better. Maybe I'm being nostalgic for an era that never truly happened as I would love to remember it had, but the Card Maker community has always been something of an online home for me. Mostly I just want to grow back into it and be happy here, rather than wallowing in bitter anger and regret. Here's to a new beginning, everyone. I know "New Year, new me" is silly and all, but if that can be the case for NCM as a whole, I might as well see if that can hold true for myself.

    Runescape 3

I'm loving the Mining and Smithing rework. The skills have needed this, and I think it does wonders for bring all the equipment in line. While I know people decry the game as "MeleeScape" (And with good reason), as a melee player myself, this is incredibly satisfying. I'm pretty bad at PvM, and have never really felt much of an incentive to raise my combat skills or get Malevolent Armor, but the Masterwork looks like the definitive armor for my style. The rework is certainly great for QOL, but that armor does offer one of the best incentives I've seen to actually train these skills. They've mentioned they'll also be reworking Firemaking, and while I'm not as excited for that - especially since I already have 99 Firemaking - that skill has long needed its own rework, and they've mentioned that the rework should make the balloon network worth using. I'm a little curious how that will pan out, but I'm optimistic. My main frustration with the game has been the serious lack of quests over the past few years. I like the Sixth Age, and Sliske is easily one of my favorite villains of all time, but it made the quests feel like they're either going to be pieces of a story that will invariably be required for a Grandmaster, or rather bland Novice quests. I'm interested where the Dragonkin storyline will go next, and they say they'll be making some changes so quests are easier to produce, so I hope that turns out to be the case. They've been bleeding too many JMods, and the teams they have left have been stretched too thin, but the M&S rework was one of their largest projects in a while, so hopefully finishing this rework means that those JMods now have more freedom to work on other projects.
  21. Well this is going to take some getting used to.
