  1. Team Adarid - Arceus' Chamber Here they were, at the very end of their tumultuous journey. The door before them was huge, but it pushed open without so much as a thought, lighter than air. Upon entering the room, only two were located within the sanctum already. She didn't know who it was, but at the same time, once her eyes laid upon her, she did. It was Arceus, creator of all things. Standing above her protective shield was another Gijinka, one that looked similar to the Houndoom in their party, but one that looked vastly more intimidating. She could feel the insanity dripping off of him, even much more so than the Lucario before. She didn't know it, but she'd taken a defensive stance already, just by standing in his presence. "There she is. The great god of this disgusting world. The being who created us and then abandoned us. Her will is already broken. If not for her body's natural defenses she would have been consumed by the flames long ago." His laughing was ominous. "As you can see there's not much time before all of her incredible power is mine. I already managed to steal a portion of it, I hope you liked my army by the way creation is such a messy affair, so it won't take long now." He gazed at the group with an amused expression. "Perhaps you expect me to tell you of my life, why I did this, what I have to gain from destroying god and rebuilding the world...But I tire of speaking to you lowly lifeforms. This has gone on long enough. Instead I will just show you how futile your efforts have been." "Well aren't you a boring one?" Taiga grinned. A strange fire began to emanate around the gijiinka, as he let it explode out towards them as a ghastly black flame. It snaked and weaved it's way across all of the Gijinka in the room, managing to separate all of them. Taiga tried her best to try and group up with someone, anyone, but to no avail. It was hot in between these thick walls of dark fire, but she couldn't do much about it. To make matters worse, flames were spat onto the ground that morphed into living amalgamations of flame. Taiga chewed her lip. They then heard his voice echoing through the room. "I am the one who managed to make the creator god kneel before me! Destroying the likes of you will be child's play!" "You're gonna regret sayin' somethin' so stupid when you're choking on your teeth, you bastard!" Taiga dashed forward, sliding on a wave of water, mimicking the movements she had seen Keanu do before. As she approached those flame monsters, they attempted to grab and punch at her, but she was way too fast. These things surely had no brains, which gave Taiga a slight advantage. As she passed by each, Taiga whirled her foot around, catching a torrent of water on her foot to slice through the monsters in half, fast as lightning. She now approached the Houndoom, her grin wide. "You're next!"
  2. Miyu happily pranced out of the store, as the boys slowly followed behind her. With all that uselessness they showed during the fight, they could make up for it by being her personal bag holders! It was a perfect end to the day. "Look, I know I said that if there had been time we could've gone for it, but I think we should get back to the dorms. Before we find another villain crashing the shop we're in, and we have to buy everything again." “I think we should go home Miyu-san,” Miyu's eye twitched, as she looked back at them. She placed both hands on her hips and leaned forwards. "Look! It's been a long day for all of us! I could really use this as a stress reliever, all right!" Although, looking the boys over some more, it was clear that they were both tuckered out, no thanks to her bossing them around while cleaning that store. Miyu sighed, and stood straight. She bit her lip, but it was obvious by the look she gave them that she was going to give in to their demands. "Alright fine! Just this once, I'll listen to you. But don't think you've gotten off the ropes scott free, you hear me!? You're just gonna have to hold twice as many bags than I was gonna make you this time, got it?!" With a pout, and a huff, Miyu turned around and marched off, holding her hands behind her back. "Come on...school's not that far away." It seemed a lot of commotion was stirring up in the rec room, as the group had gathered back at school. "You boys drop off that supplies in the school, I'm gonna go see what everyone's up to!" She pointed a finger at the two. "And don't go thinking about slinking back to your rooms either! You better come hang out with me when you're done! I've got jobs for the three of you!" Leaving the boys, she rubbed her hands together deviously. She'd have both of them under her finger as her own personal play things. Delicious. She opened the door to the rec room to notice that the gang was all here, her eyes especially drifting over to Nanami, who had plopped her tail fin in a kiddie pool. Miyu took no time stripping, only leaving on the essentials, and jumping into the small pool alongside the girl. "Nanami!!!!!" She squealed, as she hit the plastic bottom. Ignoring the pain, Miyu crawled right behind her, tracing the girls every curve. "Nanamiiiii~! You shouldn't be doing something so lewd in front of all the boys~! Not with this body of yours~!" She almost talked like a serpent. "What cup size are you anyway?! Geez this is just ridiculous!" Her eyes shot straight towards Akuma. The boy's eyes could cut through fog with how intensely focused he stared at the scene. At the sudden addition of Miyu, Juryo could also be seen in a steam. He looked away, shooting his face to the side, only to try and take another peak. "...so anyone else's group get yelled at by a group of D-List Heroes after we beat a villain today because no Hero was in sight at the grocery store?" He was knocked out of this hypnosis by Keika's question. "Nah. We pretty much skated out of the Electronics Store without much hassle. Although, we did pick up a straggler." Juryo sighed. "It's not a long story, but it sure is an annoying one. He should be here momentarily I assume." "Ahhhhn~!" Miyu purred, continuing to harass the shark, "We just ran into some old hag at the office store. She seemed like a bad guy, so I wanted to bring her in...too bad boys are so useless, right Nana?" He had to get his mind off of those two frolicking in the kiddie pool. He walked over to Toshiko, and sat down beside her. "What're you playing?" He asked her, his face glued to the retro t.v.
  3. Monday had rolled around, and Kio had as always ran to school. It was a nice enough day for the beach, and he had a whole lunch packed, along with his swimming trunks and snorkel gear. This was gonna be a blast! As he approached the school, he realized he wasn't the first one who had made it, as Ben could be seen getting on board the bus that was stationed just outside. To his surprise, Principal Glory stood outside the bus, and even more surprising was a security drone was in the driver's seat! It was comically dressed up as a conductor of sorts, giving it less of an air of intimidation as the ones that had attacked them the week prior. With a sigh of relief, Kio approached Glory. "Didn't think you'd be heading this thing, #77! What's the occasion?" He asked. "I'm not heading it. Just figured I'd tag along. I've been told i need to get out of the office more, anyway." Kio nodded his head, holding his chin in his hand. "Hm, hm! I see! I guess even Principals need a nice day at the beach from time to time, huh? Not a big pencil pusher, I'm guessing?" Kio smiled. "Me neither. I like action! Which is why I challenge you to a swim off once we get there!" He pointed a finger directly at the hero. "Unless you're chicken." "Do you really think that is something I'd be interested in? Besides, I need to keep an eye out for anything that might go wrong. This school has a poor history in regards to field trips." "Chicken it is." Kio smugly crossed his arms. "Besides...the last attack on a U.A. field trip happened about...10 years ago right? If my memory serves me right, that was around the time that the Kashyyyk incident happend, correct?" Kio waved his hand from side to side. "You shouldn't get so worked up. I bet the class can handle themselves." "Don't pretend not to know things. It makes you look more like a snake than a charmer. No offense to your math teacher." Kio's eyes sharpened, as a sly, twisted grin traced his lips. "Guess it can't be helped. There's no getting past you is there?" Kio's face contorted back into cheerful mode, as he threw his hands into the air. "Geez, I was hoping for a little more fun today! You're such a buzzkill, Glory. I bet Epicenter will race me in a heartbeat." He walked on up the stairs and onto the bus. "I look forward to the trip! I can really go all out, knowing we're in your capable hands!" Kio then took a seat somewhere in the middle of the bus, where he'd be able to see everyone! For some strange reason, Ben still hadn't gotten on...maybe he was waiting for someone? He wondered some more, did spiders even make for good swimmers?
  4. The rest of the days classes came and went, with Kio listening intently to each lesson. Each new thing he learned today would be trapped in his mind for the rest of all time. He'd never forget any of the things his teachers had said this day, especially Orikami and Ruby Heart. They were the ones that caught his eye the most. Never had he been lectured so cruelly by one, and so chillingly threatened by the other. They were truly interesting choices to be teaching here at U.A. Hopefully he would be able to keep up through the rest of the year. And just as his first day had ended, it seemed his whole week had ended in one great big rush. It must've been some major brain lag from everything he learned this week, but time seemed to fly these days. "That wraps up class for today, students! It's been a great first week, hasn't it?! I hope that we continue to get closer as a class! I also want to thank you for being patient with me! I was never a good student, so being on the teaching end is really quite strange! Oh! And don't forget! Please have your parents or guardians sign your permission slip for our field trip to the beach! You won't be able to go, unless they say so! Get home safely, everyone!" Kio kicked a foot up onto his desk, and pushed himself backwards, lifting the front legs of his chair off the ground. "Parents signature, huh?" He blankly stared at the ceiling. That night, when he returned home, he went up the steps just as he did every night, almost forgetting that he couldn't avoid his parents this weekend. He stopped midway, and turned his head back down the stairs. As he walked down them, and entered the kitchen, he placed his school bag on one of the chairs, and took a seat at the kitchen table. His mother hadn't noticed him sneak in, but when she turned around, she gasped. "Kio! Shouldn't you be studying? Are you feeling alright?" "Yeah Mom, just fine. Is Dad around?" "No, he went out gam-...he went out with some friends tonight. He probably won't be home until later." "Perfect. Can I get you to sign this?" Kio asked, pulling out his permission slip, and sliding it over the table in her direction. "We're having a field trip to the beach this week...Can't go unless you sign it." His mother picked up the paper, with a forlorn look on her face. "Oh...is that all you needed? I can do it in a jiffy." Kio nodded, with his blank expression. However, he still remained at the table. His mother signed the paper, and returned it. "Would you like to eat dinner with me tonight?" She asked. "I want to know how your first week at U.A. went." Kio paused for a moment, before nodding again. "Does Gyoza sound good?" Kio smiled. It was his favorite food. "Sounds perfect."
  5. Team Adarid - Warp Room Taiga watched the fight continue with bated breath, but a supremely wide, toothy smile. Scarlet and that big red lug put the final nail in the Lucario's coffin, as he fell to the ground in a sort of disbelief. Taiga fell to her knees, wheezing, as she could feel the Mega Energy leave her body. She was reduced to her regular self, but her hair still remained rather long. She placed her hands behind her and on the ground, resting in a peculiar position, gasping for air. "Shoo! Hope he's down for the count, cause I'm sure pooped! Fufufu!" Taiga watched around the room, as this gathering of strangers radiated tons of gushy, mushy emotions. Taiga stood to her feet, and dusted herself off, before spitting at the ground. "Yuck...can y'all can it and get a room already? We ain't finished here, right?" Taiga pointed a thumb at the newly unbound door ahead of them. "Save it until we figure out what's behind there!" She sighed, as she strode over to Scarlet. She was way more winded than Taiga was, but she still jabbed the Scizor in the ribs. "You coulda blocked a couple of those palms for me, you know? Those things really hurt! You got as many dents in your brain as you do in your armor?!" She couldn't help but laugh. "Listen...if I die here...tell Ice I said I'm sorry, alright?" With a pat on the girls shoulder, Taiga then strode up to Keanu. "Yo, Keanu!" She said, raising a hand in greeting. "I don't wanna see you messin' around in that next room. No hesitating. Give it all you got, for me!" She said, winking at him. Her last stop before they ventured forward was the bow-tied fairy, a Sylveon. Taiga scratched the back of her head, avoiding the Gijnka's gaze. "Yo...Bow Tie." She callously spoke, trying not to show her thankfulness towards the Gijinka. "I just wanted to say thanks again...for the save and all. But if it comes down to it...don't go wastin' any wishes on me, you hear." Taiga motioned her hand loosely to the younger members of the hodgepodge group. "Try and save 'em first, yeah? I ain't worth the trouble." With a nod, Taiga turned around, and made her way to the center of the room, stretching and chomping the air in front of her.
  6. The electrical monster they saw before them lowered his arms, and paused his assault. He seemed to be conflicted about the whole situation. They could use that to their advantage here. After all, they couldn't really keep up this fraudulent hero work up much longer. He rubbed the back of his head, and kicked the ground beneath him. "Welp, guess there's no helping it now. Not like we can put you under arrest or anything." Juryo placed his hands in the air above his chest, holding them close. "Yeah, we got an all you can eat buffet just around the block. And the government's picking up the tab. You interested?" After a slight pause, the electric monster shrank back to it's original disguise as a human. He wore a scowl like none other, baring his fangs at all of the students. "You better not be pullin' some kind of shitty trick, punks! I'll go on a rampage if you do!" Juryo laughed at the boy, which caused him to fume. "Relax. We really don't have to fight you. Not like you're causin' any ha-" Juryo looked around the torn up store, and the quivering merchant behind the desk. He took a stride over, and whispered to the man. "Hey pal, if you promise not to tell anyone what went down here today, our school will pay for all the property damage. Just send a letter to Hairo Academy, would ya?" Juryo flashed the man a thumbs up, before he shakily responded with his own thumbs up. "Great." Juryo nodded, before walking out the door, not before picking up the things that they had actually come for. "Well, let's get going then, yeah? I'm sure you'll love the new place." Once the group had returned back to school, the expression of their guess turned sour. "WHAT THE HELL! ISN'T THIS IS HAIRO!? I SAID I WASN'T JOINING YOUR SHITTY SCHOOL!" "Calm down man. You don't have to do anything, but you can stay here and not get in trouble." Juryo led them all to a storeroom that was located near the dorms. Inside were some mats, and in the corner was a generator chugging like it's life depended on it. "It ain't much, but it's a lot better than having to steal from local businesses right? Just don't go running up the electric bill too hard. Don't want any eyebrows being raised around here." Juryo sighed. "If you need anything, just sneak to my room, and knock. And don't go letting our teacher know that you're here...otherwise things might get nasty for you." "Why are you doin' all this for a guy like me? Didn't I beat the crap out of all of you?" Juryo laughed once more. "Listen, I hate this place just as much as you do...so any way I can be a thorn in the government's side is something I can get behind. This was just a thorn that I came up with." With a snide smile, Juryo turned to the boy. "Welcome to Hairo Academy." As the woman brought her attention toward the monster of office supplies - or more accurately - the boy who seemed to be "controlling" it, a small beep came from her wrist. Then a second one. As she rolled up her sleeve and looked at the watch underneath it, a sour expression crossed her face. As much as she didn't enjoy tangling with a bunch of dumb kids, this was much more important. "I didn't account for you three standing up to defend this man. Aspiring heroes or something? Lucky for you, I'm about to be late to an important meeting if I don't start moving, and fast. Ciao, children... and try not to pick fights with the grown-ups anymore, would you?" With that, using Miyu as a springboard, the woman propelled herself across the store, making a sharp turn and bolting out the door before turning and running off too quickly for the others to keep track of her. Miyu attempted to throw out a chain to grab her ankle as she shot past, but failed miserably, as she tumbled into what seemed to be a monster made of office supplies. Was this Yu's friend. Before she could realize, the woman had escaped, forcing Miyu to groan in aggravation. "Are you kidding me! That was my shot at skipping my way straight to heroinedom!" Miyu collected herself, before looking for the other boys in the store. "Geez...couldn't you have done a little more? And can't you tell Theodore to be a little nicer? I thought I was gonna get caught in the crossfire there?" She sent a puff of hair to her bangs, blowing them out of her face. "Man...I couldn't get paired up with bigger losers if I tried!" With the store in shambles, Miyu shrugged. "I guess we can do one good thing today. You boys, get to cleaning! I'll be your beautiful cheerleader! Now let's GO! GO! GO!" After much effort, the store was put back together in a somewhat normal fashion, although Miyu had since torn up the provocative cardboard cutouts on 'accident'. As they rounded up all the supplies they had came here for, Miyu strode up to the counter and placed the Hairo Credit Card on the counter. She wasn't sure if the man had been beat up too badly, but she'd already called the police while the other two cleaned up. Thankfully, he was in a good enough condition to ring them up. After they walked out of the store, Miyu held two bags of supplies aloft into the air. "Alright boys! Shopping time!!!!!" With a distracting punch in the side, the kid with tentacles was able to position himself in just the right position to launch another assault on her. She went to punch the boy as he made his way to her, but she was visibly woozy now, no thanks to the drop in temperature around the area. As the boy wrapped tentacles around her jugular, she collapsed to her knees. She desperately struggled to reach for something to eat, anything, almost resorting to taking a bite out of the boys tentacles themselves, but to no avail. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head, and she fell to the ground unconscious. Her snores were almost enough to shake the store, as she reverted back to her original self. In the meantime, a group of terribly costumed heroes swooped in to take over the scene. They shooed the Hairo students away, but not before scolding them for acting so irrationally as civilians without Hero Licenses. The news vans and police were the next to show up, as the rag tag group of heroes proclaimed to take credit for taking down the Insatiable Devil that had plagued their district for some time now. Later That Night On the opposite side of the dorms, across the walkway to the school, lied a larger building used for recreational activities. It was still just as beat up as the rest of the facilities seemed to be around here, but it was a place for all of the students to relax and wind down. It had older video game consoles, and various other things such as a billiards table, shogi boards, chess boards, and playing cards. Juryo sat on a couch, looking at the ceiling, waiting for others to file in to lay some news on them. "What a day..."
  7. Team Adarid - Warp Room The godslayer was now on the ropes! The whole room of Gijinka was in perfect sync in an effort to topple this lone wolf. Taiga watched on with a huge grin, wheezing as she did so, when a blue blur almost as fast as her appeared right in front of her once more. "Not agai-" Her grumble was cut off by a swift palm to the chest. It felt like all of her bones were caving in, collapsing her entire chest in on itself. The force sent her careening into the wall, leaving quite the large crater. As she plummeted down to the floor, she released a large spat of blood from her mouth, coughing profusely. She'd never been so damaged in any of her fights before...this really was one for the books. Her sad excuse for a past began to flash before her eyes, her evolution from outright sea urchin to a wannabe seafaring pirate, it was almost laughable. The world didn't really need someone like her thinking she was running the place, now did it. At least she was able to help the rest of these fools one last time, before her inevitable death. Although, some part of her honestly thought she was going to make it out of this alive...and do something with her life. Do something good. "Fufufu..." Was she laughing at herself? Her wish? A wish? "I want to see them smile again." Something brought her back from the brink of death, in a beautiful show of light. It almost stung a little. Her chest felt better, and her wounds were healing rapidly, for the most part. She got to her feet, and noticed a Sylveon in the room had given her a gift. Taiga, not being one to usually thank others, nodded at Easter. "You're a life saver! I owe you one after this!" She barked at the fairy. Taiga rolled her shoulders, smacked her face, and cracked her neck, before taking a runners start. With an insane speed that broke the ground beneath her, she bolted off in the Lucario's direction. Once he sensed her he grew furious, his aura flaring to intercept her. "This time I must make sure you stay down!" However, she charged through the storm of raw power, jumping to pirouette in the air in an effort smack the Lucario in the face with a roundhouse kick. The Lucario bent back fast enough to dodge the foot, but wouldn't be able to dodge the oncoming torrent of water that came his way. As it crashed into his side, he was sent flying across the room, slamming into a wall as the water continued to beat him down. Gathering his strength, he was able to push back against the rushing geyser enough to free himself, and jump to the side. However, Taiga was able to intercept him straight out of the air, as she had traveled through her own waterfall with a ferocious pair of umbral jaws that clamped down on the Lucario's torso. She made sure to clamp down extra hard, an attempt to emulate how hard he had hit her prior. "This...You think this is enough!?" The Lucario ferociously remarked. Taiga could only laugh. "No way." She pointed up towards the ceiling. "That is." As he looked to the ceiling, he would see a well placed Scarlet, who had used all the strength in her legs to rocket herself towards the Lucario. With a supreme display of Superpower, the Scizor divebombed straight through the Dark Fangs. They shattered like glass, as she crashed directly into the Godslayer, sending both of them hurtling into the ground, fracturing it beyond the damage that already lie there. "Hopefully, that'll do the trick."
  8. Kio looked on at the ongoing fight, ashamed at the fact that all he could do was sit back and watch the finale. His fists started to gyrate, as they rattled close to his legs. His teeth were grinding, but he still looked onward with a smile. As Sun and Inu landed beside him, he watched as Yumi really laid into the Giant Metal Rex with a huge Thunderbolt. The robot was completely out of commission after that. Kio looked on at the heaping pile of trash, only to pump his fist into the air. "YAHOOO!!!!!!! YOU GUYS ARE TOTALLY RAD!!!!!!" Just then, the dome above them shattered away, and a seraphic like being descended into the mock city. The speakers flared up once more with her voice being cast through them all. <If it wasn't clear enough to you all, this was part of the test. If any of you were offended by the lie, that's really too bad. You can change back into your school uniforms, we will be going over everything that took place in your classroom. The entrance you all used has been unsealed.> Kio sat quietly as their new teacher, Orikami, began to explain what just had happened at the training grounds. It was clearly obvious to him that the whole thing was a test, but a test for what was what he had been wondering about. But after her explanation, it was apparent that they were supposed to have worked together as a cohesive unit to best the beast. Kio nodded, teamwork was definitely not his forte. He always got a little too carried away with himself...he never really had to rely on others in the past. It was a weird feeling for him. "That being said, there were two stand-outs. While many of you worked to protect your classmates, two of you went Beyond Max Omega. Seigi Diana, and Ukemei Ayane, please come to the front of the class." The two would do just that. "Miss Seigi. After you attacked the Thunderjaw, it fired at you and young Miss Kikuchi with its laser array. Without thinking twice, you dove in front of her to protect her. You were willing to sacrifice your life to protect a girl you had hardly even met before. This is the mark of a true hero. Good job. And you, Miss Ukemei, while the move you showed off was by all means impressive, what I find myself much more proud of was your bravery in drawing the machine toward yourself. No doubt you were well aware of the fact that you couldn't take it down yourself, but even as it charged toward you, you stood your ground. You stared overwhelming danger in the face and fought back at it with everything you could, giving the other students time to arrive to assist you. Good job." Kio gripped his pants in frustration, but he really couldn't deny that what the two had done their best to overcome this challenge. Even more so than him. He had wasted a Memory Card to try and rise to the occasion, but it wasn't enough before the pure power and tenacity of the two girls. Damnit. "Now, does anyone have any questions?" "I guess it's a little hard to go Max Omega when you're using someone else's quirk, huh?" He sighed. The cold stare he received from the teacher was enough to send shivers down his spine. "Miss Seigi hardly used her quirk at all. You did fine, but don't excuse your shortcomings or downplay the accomplishments of others. That won't get you far at all." Kio's mouth hung open for a bit. Had he doubted himself standing up against such opposition? That was another new type of experience for him...going up against something that imposing. He wouldn't waver again. He'd take the quirks from others, and really turn them to Max Omega! "Say no more!" Kio said, slamming a fist on his desk. "Akagi Kio will never hold back again! I'll never make any sort of excuse for as long as I live! I'll show you what Memory Card can really do next time!" He grinned. He then heard a familiar voice start chiding on. It made his smile dissipate rather instantaneously. "Yeah, I got one...what test? We were told we were introducing ourselves not taking a test. No one ever said anything about that. Like, okay, sure, good job miss 'hero teacher' you sure pulled one over on us. Tricked all us underage students. I'm sure whoever showed you how to teach is super proud of you for your genius idea of suddenly shoving us into a fake-life-threatening-situation as our first lesson. What was this supposed to teach us? Not to trust a 'Hero' to be honest? Guess you nailed that one, teach. I can't be the only one who thinks this is ridiculous can I?" "Gee, you're awfully boring." Kio said, rather stoically. "Who cares if it was a lie? It was fun getting to see everyone's quirks in action, don't you think?" He pressed a fist into his cheek, as he continued to stare at her, blankly. "I got to see everyone do their best today. Everyone but you, and mister buzz saw-kill. Isn't that weird?" Kio's pupils rattled in annoyance. "Why are you even here?"
  9. Team Adarid - Warp Room "You. I can sense the arrogance deep in you. You believe yourself strong...No, none of you are nearly strong enough even after all your journeys. I was meant to be the perfect warrior and I refuse to settle for anything less!" "On the count of three, we strike together. He can't stop both of us." She said, extending a hand out towards Taiga. "We'll put this monster in his place." "Together." "Together." Taiga nodded. "No, you will NOT!" This dude was now totally pissed, as the aura around him began to swell and swirl, almost knocking her off of her feet entirely. She didn't even have time to properly react before the Lucario had rapidly sped his knee straight into her gut. A forceful 'Fu!' left her, as did the rest of the air in her diaphragm. He then made his way behind her in her dazed state to place a palm in the small of her back, and shoot her away. Taiga which way was up at the current moment, but as she was sent flying back she saw Scarlet get a chest full of forceful palming. The way this guy was able to knock them away so mindlessly was starting to irritate her. She regained control of her flight path, using her feet to skid to a halt. With the Lucario's attention being diverted elsewhere, Taiga made her way to Scarlet. "I got a plan...you're a good swimmer right?" She asked the girl who wore a heavy suit of armor. As they discussed, Taiga could feel another wave of pressure hit her like a truck. She looked up, noticing the Lucario was now starting to get serious. A bead of sweat began to fall down her face, as more began to follow suit. This guy was just toying with them before, but now he didn't seem to be holding back. Taiga rolled her shoulder, and bit down into the air a couple of times, preparing her jaws for the ensuing battle. "Well I didn't think I'd live this long anyway...let's get on with it then." Taiga nodded to Scarlet. "Together!" "1...2...3!!" Scarlet roared, as a gust of wind seemed to pick up from behind them, the whole team's speed in the room now picking up the slack. Taiga abruptly was shot into the air with a pillar of water from beneath, as she began to ride it towards the Lucario's position. Scarlet then dove into the bag of the waterfall, and began treading water like her life depended on it. "You might have slain your fair share of Gods, punk! But you ain't never tangoed with a Tyrant like me!!!" She yelled as loudly as she could, riding her super fast pillar of water on a collision course with the godslayer. However, he merely smirked before standing a top the water fall himself, right in front of Taiga. How he could stand atop of it so easily bewildered her, but she snapped herself out of it. She threw a punch towards him, only for it to be swiftly dodged, but Taiga continued her rapid onslaught, throwing in multiple kicks and bites as well as jabs. They were all seen through easily, as the Lucario seemed to bob and weave in between all of her attacks like his own dance. He wore no expression, as if he were bored, causing Taiga to get even more furious. "COME ON! STOP ACTUALLY TANGOING AND FIGHT ME, DAMNI-" A palm to her stomach was enough for Taiga to choke on her words, sending her off of her waterfall and hurtling back towards the ground. As she continued to descend, she smirked. From beneath the water, Scarlet shot up like a blazing torpedo through the top of the geyser. Her fist dug into the Lucario's jaw, sending him flying into the sky. As Taiga hit the ground, she let loose a grunt. But there would be no time for breathers. Their attack was only halfway done. "Come on, come on! I need to be even Mega-er!" She got to her feet and took a wide stance. She roared, gathering all her energy. She took out a dark jewel from her pocket, only to take a giant chunk out of it. As she began munching, a dark swell of energy began to come off of her, much like how Lucario had done before, although to a lesser extent. With a thumbs down aimed at the airborne Lucario, Taiga gave another battlecry. "Let's put him in the dirt! It's time to slay the slayer! DON'T Y'ALL GO BACKING OUT NOW!" She roared to the rest of the Gijinka in the room.
  10. Looking past his gun, Joey looked to the side to notice that neither of his rounds had hit, but rather served as quite the little distraction for Joanna to get into his space and give the robber's stand one hell of a tight grappling, raising it into the air. All the guns that had appeared around them had turned to dust, but not before the stand user destroyed his own stand to point a gun to his head. Joey, still laying prone on the floor, held his breath for a moment. Was this guy really so honorable as to make sure none of his friends were found out. After a brief hesitation, the answer was a straight up nope! The gunman placed the gun to his side. "Not bad, for a bunch of brats. Even with the amount of times I've been fucked over by these idiots, I don't think I've had my back against the wall like this in a long time. If I somehow get out of this alive, I'm done with these clowns." Joey cupped his ears, trying to hear the man from across the room once more. "Speak up would ya!?" However, it seemed the man was no longer a threat, so Joey got up from his stomach to his feet. He walked over to all the others that now began to circle around. "How's getting back at them instead sound? You'd know more about the guys behind this than I would. And it's at least something to make up for...That." "Hmm...You're an odd one, Joanna. I like it. Let's give them hell." "Let's. Sounds like you already know who I am, so I guess introducing myself isn't a concern. So, you are? Actually, this might not be the best place to talk. Cops'll be here soon, I figure." "Heh, yeah...I doubt any of us want to be copped at this moment. I do plan to kick your ass later...what with you having your pal there throw lead like that...and I have to pay you back for the shoulder injury. Regardless, we better fade out of this place before plenty of coppers get over here and try and get us to sing, ya follow?" "Mind if I scram with all you's while the scrammin's scrammable?" Joey butted in, waving to all of the stand users. "The name's Joey, a pleasure for yous guys I'm sure."
  11. Team Adarid The attack she received from the Lucario had sent Taiga all the way across the other side of the room. As she had crashed into the wall, she let loose a gasp of air, her head shooting up towards the ceiling, as she started to drift away. Her conscious was fading fast, and her vision grew dark. However, just as soon as she had fallen into the darkness, a sharp beam of light shone through her mind. All of those people who helped her get to where she was today. Scarlet, Isole, the whole Showdown crew, Zygarde, Groudon, and especially Landorus. There faces shone brightly at her, as she caught her breath. They had all trusted her to get this far, and take these Godslayers down. She couldn't lose them here, or ever! She had gotten faster, just this once, but it would hopefully be enough. "I've been hit by a lot of attacks during this damn journey..." Taiga laughed, wiping some blood from her mouth, "But I'll give it to ya...that was the hardest I've ever been hit by a sea mile!" Taiga rose to her feet, and placed a hand on her chest. "But listen here! Ain't no way I'm going down that easily! I got people to protect, and people waiting for me on the other side! You're in the way of all that, ain't ya!?" Taiga's chest began to glow, as the light seemed to radiate from her whole body. "Somethin' tells me that If I don't go all out against you, I'll die, so prepare yourself!" Taiga's entire body began to change, as her hair grew longer, and her fangs grew larger and sharper. Even her clothes seemed to change with the magic power that was allowing her to transform. Once it was all said and done, Taiga threw out her hand, pointing it straight at the Lucario. "Mega Taiga the Terrible is here to Mega ruin your day!" This guys gimmick was clear as day. He could counter one move, but he would always be hit by the next. She cracked her knuckles as a large red haired Gijinka proceeded to charge behind a Fire Blast. Taiga laughed at his show of bravado, opting to get to the Lucario first. She let loose a huge waterfall from beneath her, opting to send it hurtling towards the Lucario, who dodged it with grace. However, from behind the extinguished Fire Blast, the Red-Haired Gijinka came flying in with a barrage of fists and kicks, smacking the Lucario senseless, or so it seemed. When the man was finished with his assault, and his defenses seemed to be lowered, the Lucario appeared right behind him with a sensationally, extremely speedy attack. The man had no time to react, as the hits came in a flash, the Lucario not even so much as flinching as the attacks landed. Taiga tipped her newly acquired hat to avert her eyes from the Lucario's pressure. "Damn...this ain't gonna go as smoothly as I'd hoped." Taiga looked over the crowd, to find Scarlet dillydallying as usual. "Hey, Chrome Dome! Better get busy powerin' up, or get busy dyin'!"
  12. It took a hot minute for Kio to arrive to the scene that almost all of the other students were at already, even with the memory card he had loaded. Luckily, it didn't look like the thing they were dealing with was going down as easy as the other robots had. Speaking of what they were up against, Kio was almost intimidated by its sheer size. The noises it made were enough that a lesser teenager would've up and ran without a monent's hesitation. Kio only watched on, as the Giant Metal Rex began to charge up what he could only assume was a laser. He bent over, and touched his toes a few times, before transitioning into a trunk stretch. He ended it off by moving his head from side to side, cracking his neck twice. The lasers weren't meant to hit them, it seemed, as they soared over his head only to crash into the buildings. Kio ran away from the falling debris, making sure to close the distance between himself and the giant before him even more. "Oh yeah! This is what I live for!" Kio said, assuming a traditional martial arts stance. Looking across the roborex's body, he noted that some of the students had already managed to tear through some of the behemoth's massive leg, using a sign to get the job done. Kio smiled, hoisting his own metal pole from a different sign post. Waving to Diana, and then pointing to his metal stick, he cheered. "Great minds think alike, huh!?" With a goofy grin, Kio charged the leg on the other side of their attacker, gyrating his entire arm that held the metal weapon until it looked like nothing more than a fan's blade. He whirred it faster and faster, as he jumped into the air, and let his weapon loose straight where he had noticed the others had thrown their own sign as well. As it sank through the monster's leg, Kio started to run up it's limb, using the gaps in the metallic armor as leverage as he made his ascent. It was a bit of a rough ride at the peak of the monsters back, but Kio held on for dear life. His arms and legs began to Gyrate some more, as he began to let loose a barrage of furious blows into the armor of the beast. "There's gotta be a control panel on this thing, right?! I'll dig through this whole thing until I find it! Don't worry about m-" Kio was interrupted, as he was flung off the monsters back, only to catch himself as he tumbled down towards it's tail. Now it was taking all of his strength just to hang on the tip for dear life.
  13. Kio never got the chance for anyone else to answer, as the doors to the training grounds abruptly closed shut. The force of the action sent a gust of wind that would topple a normal person over quite easily. However, Kio stood there silently with a dumbfounded smile as the gust of wind blew past him. His smile turned from chipper, to sour in mere seconds. He retrieved the makeshift polearm from the still pile of nuts and bolts, and twirled it around, brandishing it just for fun. That's when speakers began to seemingly blare from every direction. <ALERT! ALERT! TOTAL OF 16 VILLAINS DETECTED IN TRAINING COURSE ZETA! ALERT! ALERT! LOCKDOWN PROCEDURES COMMENCING! MUST EXTERMINATE!> Villains were attacking already!? and 16 of them?! Kio rummaged through his memory counting up the faces of his peers, realizing that that exact number was the same number of students in the class. "Whoah...what a coincidence!" He smiled. "That's one villain for each of us! Better shove off and find one, huh?" Kio hadn't realized, but he had directed the comment at some sort of miniature robot that had appeared from almost out of nowhere. He stood there for a moment, looking at the thing, and then realizing he was surrounded by a swarm of them. Kio looked around at all of them, counting ten robots, all with a hint of sinister intent. Kio pointed to himself, as if to ask the question, 'Am I the villain here', only to receive a grappling hook to the wrist as a response. The force in which it tried to drag Kio in was intense, but he stood his ground. Kio could hear another hook shoot off, aiming at his other wrist presumably. Kio managed to jump into the air, as he dodged the other hook, sending it flying into one of the many other security bots. The one he was attached to began to reel in once more, Kio having no traction this time to try and attempt to stop it. However, he still had his weapon in hand. As the robot reeled in him in closer, he shot the pole straight through the thing. However, he was still connected by the wrist to a now inactive jailer. There were still 8 of these guys, and Kio was beginning to sweat. That's when he heard a roar that nearly shook the training grounds. Kio didn't know what the hell it was, but that's definitely where he wanted to be! "I didn't think I'd be pushed so far on my first day!" Kio said, pumping his fists in. "This is so awesome! You're actually gonna make me do it!" Without another thought, Kio revealed a kind of belt around his waist, hidden beneath his gym outfit. In the belt were individual square pockets, and a multitude of them. He didn't have to look for which one he wanted, he knew them all by heart. Taking one of the small, translucent blue squares from their place, he placed it into the nape of his neck. It transferred through his skin as easily as osmosis. With a deep breath, Kio smiled. "Alright! Let's Re;Load! Quirk: Gyrate!" Kio's wrist began to Gyrate violently, breaking him free of his chain. He almost wasn't expecting such a strange sensation as he did, but he was getting used to it. He looked to the robots surrounding him now, with a smile. "Well, I guess I'll play the part a little bit then! This is fun! Don't bore me now, okay?!" Kio's arms and legs began to Gyrate, as each individual punch and kick that landed tore the metal to shreds. As he finished off the last of the security bots around him, he retrieved his weapon once more. Farther down the street, he saw someone having a much harder time with the things than himself. Ten more opponents to use this quirk against? How could he pass up the opportunity!? The joints of his legs began to gyrate, causing his legs to act as a windmill to shoot at the crowd. With his wrist twisting, his weapon seemed to appear like a plane's propeller. He could feel himself almost lift off, until he had crashed head first into all of the robots, tearing them up in an instant without a hope to apprehend Kio. The girl who was being dragged away by them was Rei, who was still laying on the ground. "Were you going to give up that easily?" He remembered her bone-cutting words to their teacher, not even moments ago. "Can you not control your Quirk properly?" Kio asked her, with a smile devoid of any strong emotion. It then brightened to a more positive smile. "This is clearly a part of the test, don't you think? Let's all try our best!" Kio waved goodbye, as he began to windmill his legs once more, this time in an attempt to find whatever had made that booming noise from before.
  14. Team ThunderWaves Lok's final push had done it, as Taiga held the girl in between her spectral jaws. A faint smile seemed to trace her face, but it was probably more of relief than of joy. Not to mention, her legs felt like they were about to buckle any second now, and she'd keel over. But something started to slip from the Gijinka's mouth. "I...I just wanted," the woman's eyes began to cloud over, "I was going to save...my home." Taiga bit her lip in frustration, as the Sandslash passed out in her clutch. As she was no longer a threat, Taiga placed her down on the ground gently. "Da kine's...what I wanted too," Keanu muttered, lowering himself, even more, to lie supine on the snow-covered floor. "How is it that two braddahs can want the same thing, but end up in a scrap too?" "She wanted to do the right thing...but she went about it in about the worst way possible." Taiga promptly fell to her butt, catching herself with her hands to get in a more comfortable position. She blew a piece of hair out of her face, before grinding her teeth together. "Weird to think that in a different world...I'd probably be in her shoes, huh?" Taiga smiled, as Keanu handed over some more berries as he had done in their last victory. "As if I'd lose to you two, though! Fufufufufu!" She scarfed down the berries faster than her max speed would let her. Smacking her stomach, she laid on her back. With Keanu announcing that he was resting his eyes, it seemed like it was time for a well deserved power nap! It didn't take much time for her to snooze at all, but her snoring was rather obnoxious.
  15. "Why would I ask a teacher who can't even control her own Quirk anything?" Epicenter, hearing the remark as Rei had passed, could only look on at the other students before her with a cheerful smile. "G-good luck, Konpaku!" Ms. Todoya knew the girl needed no such thing. However, she rubbed her arm in embarrassment. "Who'll be going up next, I wonder?!" Kio's foot tapped the ground, waiting patiently for his turn to jump into the training grounds and hopefully show his stuff. However, everyone else that went in before him seemed to be having such a fun time, and getting up close and personal with all of their quirks would be the chance of a lifetime. Just running around, gathering it all in, and getting to know all of them better! What a day his first day was turning out to be. He rummaged around in his pockets to make sure he'd brought the proper equipment he'd need in this circumstance, finding what he was looking for with a smile on his face. He couldn't take the anticipation any longer, and strode right on up to the training ground's large gate. He turned to the others and flashed a peace sign. "Some of you might have heard me before, but my name's Akagi Kio! But you can just call me Kio. Hero Name? Memory Hero: Re;Load!" He placed a set of finger guns up to his head. "I call my quirk, Memory Card. If I see you do it, I can do it too! Wish me luck, everyone!" With a salute, and turn of his heel, Kio ran into the training grounds. He looked around, noticing that his classmates, and certainly the robots, must have traveled further into the place. "Well that sucks...I was hoping to get a closer look of everyone's quirk." He kicked the ground, placing his hands on his hips. Running his fingers through his hair, he sighed. The only way to do this was on his own...he couldn't afford to waste a whole Memory Card here, but he still had to manage to incapacitate one of those robots from the practical. He made a fist, and smacked it into his open palm, with a confident smile on his face. "I'm up for it!" He shouted, as he began running further into the mock city. It wasn't long before he came up along a four-way intersection, where on the other side looked to be a rather formidably sized training robot. Kio brushed a thumb against his nostril, mimicking what he had seen so many tough guys in movies do before. The robot charged, as Kio began to run in the opposite direction. He made his way to try and hide behind a stop sign, taunting the machine by poking his head out to the side, and flashing his two fingers up once more in a gesture of peace. The robot, unable to register such emotion as peace, swiped at the metal rod with both arms, chopping it in half so that the sign was nipped off the top, and the other end partially sticking out of the ground. Kio managed to pick up the piece of metal that was lobbed off from the middle, before rolling to the side to avoid the rest of the swiping attack. After his dodge, he took more time to get some distance between him and the machine. As he stood up, he dusted himself off with half of the stop sign's metal rod held in his grip. The end had been chopped diagonally, so the tip made for quite the weapon. Kio then took the posture of a javelin tosser, winding up the same muscles that the people in the Olympics did. "I'm going for the gold!" Kio roared, as he took a step forward to toss the metal rod straight through what could only be assumed to be the robots central processing unit. He had aimed for the large red eye that stared him down, and made his mark with perfect form. Without much hesitation, the training robot fell to the ground, unable to resume function. The boy's face remained emotionless, as he walked up to the robot. "Hey. Get up. That wasn't challenging at all." He said coldly, kicking the lifeless steel. The machine wasn't able to respond, making him sigh. "Boring." He looked away from the pile of scrap, and pumped his fist. "Yeah!!! Rate it out of 10, Epicenter!? Come on that was cool, right?!"
  16. Watching the students file in one after the other was so exciting! He was so excited to meet them all! So excited to learn everything about them! So excited to add to his collection! Up til now, some names of those that announced them had burrowed into his neural network, never to be lost again. However, none of his classmates came close to holding a candle to the boy with a chainsaw for a head! Just his presence seemed to ooze an interest factor to Kio. It was so cool! No doubt the boy had just as interesting a quirk! Kio was about to go and greet the guy, when a large monkey of a man stepped in to ask if the boy was even a living, sentient being. Turns out that this Yokuna was indeed alive and in fact not a robot. Fascinating! Stepping up towards the two, Kio laughed. "You must be new to these parts, huh? Lot's of people walking around with all sorts of different heads these days." He said, poking the Monkey boy's bicep. "Hey, you seem pretty strong! Wanna arm wrestle!? I hear primates are at least five times stronger than normal people, I read it somewhere in an article! I wanna see if it's true!" Kio's attention drifted from the one student to his main focus. "Oh! Yokuna! Tell me all about how your quirk works! Pleaaaaaase! It's probably really sick! Are there any drawbacks??? Do you need gasoline to power that thing, or do you make your own?!" Kio stepped away, as he had gotten particularly close to the boy, clearing his throat and calming himself down. "Maybe after class?" He said with a wink. "Oh, did all of the Monaka get eaten? Hopefully I wound up bringing enough... I uh, don't know if I have the energy to make more..." Kio's ears perked up at the mention of the snacks he took part in before, rushing up to the boy. "Oh so you made those! Good job! They were delicious!" Kio slammed his hands onto the boys desk. "Surely, if you're too tired, you could use some assistance! I gotta see how you made them for myself!" Just then, a sudden shaking seemingly began to rattle the school. Most of the other students were also alerted by the shaking. "I'd reason that it's someone's quirk. I don't think it's anyone here, it just started. Maybe there is a villain knocking at the doorstep. Wouldn't that be fun?" "YEAH! THAT WOULD BE RAD!" Kio said, pumping his fist towards the boy. "I'M TOTALLY UP FOR THE CHALLENGE! BACK ME UP, 'KAY?!" Kio turned his attention towards the door, psyching himself up for whatever was about to breach it. The shaking grew more and more intense, as the source seemed to be travelling at a breakneck pace straight towards the room. As the door slid open, and the shaking had reached its peak, a woman had dashed into the room, with papers flying everywhere as she tripped on her face. She had made a desperate attempt to grab onto the top of the front desk to break her fall, but fell a tad short. Once her face smacked the floor, the quaking stopped for a moment, only to pick back up with a vengeance. The woman struggled to her feet, watching the helpless kids be shaken to their cores. "Calm down, calm down." She said, smacking her face and taking a deep breath in. The shaking calmed down rapidly, and the room was eventually still. Another deep breath in, and the woman took a look over the complete mess she had made. "U-Uhm...Good Morning everyone! Please...uhm...Please take your seats." Kio's knees were still recovering from that intense earthquake that they just went through. This lady was a walking disaster, but her quirk was amazing. Kio walked over to his desk, wobbly and slow, having to pick it up and place it upright. He was eventually able to plop himself in his seat, taking a sigh of relief. Although, he noticed that the teacher herself was still shaking. She bowed to the class, while blushing. "G-good morning..again! My name is Ms. Todoya, b-but while in the c-class please call me Epicenter. I'll be your homeroom teacher, starting from today! I hope to get along well with all of you." Epicenter began to rummage through all the papers that had been thrown about when she had fell. "N-now what were we going to do today, again...let's see....ah!" Epicenter picked up one paper specifically, and brought it close to her face. She pulled it down slowly, only her eyes peering over the page and looking over the class. "T-today will be introductions! And a little exercise to boot! Now let's put on our gym clothes and head to training ground zeta, okay! Ready? GO!!!" She cheered. With everyone dressed appropriately, they were whisked away to the training ground. A large white gate stood before them. Epicenter walked up to it, and smacked a hand on the meeting of both sides. "This is where we'll be introducing ourselves, our quirks, AND our hero names to each other! Please state your name to the class, and head on inside! There are tons of training robots running around here, kinda like your practical exams! Don't be afraid to go all out against them either. And don't take it too easy, because they won't do the same for you. You won't be aiming for points this time around, but everyone has to destroy at least one robot before exiting, is that c-c-clear?!" She tried to sound like some sort of authority, but made a fool of herself in the process. "If you have any questions, I'll be all ears. I'm excited to meet you all today!"
  17. Team ThunderWaves "I don't understand. I'm just doing what I must...I'm saving my region. I deserve to win. I've...trained so much. I was blessed by the Tapu themselves. I should be able to beat anyone!" "God you're annoying..." Taiga said, panting, but noting her speed had once again rocketed higher. "Y'all godslayers don't know when to give up! You aren't the good guys here, you know?" In an attempt to stop them once again, the slayer began lobbing heaps of snow in there direction. However, with Taiga's all but doubled speed, there was no way those things were touching her anytime soon. She managed to dodge them with ease, all the while Keanu was hammering down hard on the Gijinka with an array of Psychic and Electric attacks. Taiga grinned at the mere fact that the Gijinka was even standing. Now the ball was in his court. "Come on!" Keanu called out to the others. "I think we might just be able to beat her!" "DUH!" Taiga shouted, almost mad at the fact that he implied that they wouldn't have beat her with Taiga on the team. "Now why don't you make yourself useful, and start up another gnarly swell! Crash into that bitch, and don't stop until I tell ya!" Taiga barked. "You got it, Taiga the Twisted...Terror Torpedo?" "You're next after her if you get it wrong one more time! YA HEAR!?" Her brow twitched in annoyance, as the Raichu began a huge wave once more. In an attempt to avoid the tsunami, the Sandlash began to jump out of the way. However, something gripped her from inside the wave. As she looked into the clear water, she'd see Taiga with a frenzied smile on her face, laughing as bubbles escaped her mouth to meet Keanu's feet. Taiga dragged the godslayer into the wave, and proceeded to take giant chomps out of the girl. Although her movements were impaired in the water, she managed to actually get a few decent slashes on Taiga, but she wouldn't let up. After a number of punches, kicks, and chomps made their mark, Taiga tried to strangle the Gijinka. One good slash across the stomach would be enough to get Taiga's hands off her neck, causing Taiga to use a pulse of water to knock Kalia out of the surf. Bleeding rather heavily now, Taiga ran up to the Sandlash with a pair of dark jaws that held the Gijinka in place. "COME ON LOK! TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT!"
  18. Team Thunder Waves "You did well to survive this long but now all that will ends now." "Shut your yap and just bring it on already!!" Taiga said, widening her stance and throwing her arms to the side in a show of aggression. "You're just all talk, ain't ya?! But I'm the real Arceus-Damn deal!!!" Taiga's mouth clamped shut once she saw that the Gijinka could now use the snow of the arena, and move it to her will. Two colossal pillars of snow were launched at Taiga and Keanu respectively. She smiled nervously, thinking if she'd be able to make short work of that snow with just her fangs. However, she wouldn't get the chance just yet, as she heard a war cry from Keanu. "We're gonna keep on surviving!" Keanu managed to slam their opponent into the ground with enough force to ruin their concentration on the snow pillars. The collapsed to the floor without even having managed to get anywhere close to Taiga. "Tch. Little runt's growing a backbone, now?. Don't get too cocky!" As soon as she had said that, she noticed the girl going for another attack. This time, she was able to pick up the fact that the pillar being thrown at them now had shards of ice packed into it. Taiga really wasn't in the mood to take any of that head on, who even would? She shook her head, and bobbed up and down. Before the pillar was launched, Taiga made a mad dash straight for the Alolan. She glided across the snow with jets of water trailing behind her feet, almost freezing as she slid along. She slid straight past the side of the pillar as it passed her, almost hugging onto it tightly with a smile as she avoided the attack in it's entirety. She could feel the cool breeze hit her face, but she was interrupted of the sensation when tiny stars began to cut at her shoulders and legs. She winced, but she held onto her anger for the time being. As she cleared the pillar, she saw the Alolan Sandslash directly in front of her path. With a 'fufu', Taiga jumped into the air and prepared a drop kick. It was less of a drop kick, and more like a ballista bolt being fired into the Gijinka's mid section. After Taiga had made crushing impact, she let out a geyser of water from her feet, with enough force to pin the Ice Queen to the wall of the room. However, Taiga was pushed away herself, sliding across the room in the opposite direction. She hit the wall hard, but the water still proceeded in a torrent. Her legs quaked as they tried to keep the pressure steady in an attempt to wear down the Sandslash with a torrent of water.
  19. As Kio walked to school, he traced the route he had been taking and ingrained it into his mind. This would probably be the same route he would take everyday from now on, and it was quite the easy trip. U.A. wasn't too far from home, but it was just far enough for him to get a brief amount of exercise before getting to class. He looked to the clear blue sky as a symbol that this was going to be a great start to his future career as a hero! Just the thought of being called that word excited him to no end! Who were his classmates going to be, what were they going to be like?! And most importantly, what were their quirks?! He smiled to himself, as he continued his brisk jog thinking of the possibilities the classroom would contain. Today was his first step to becoming the best! As he rounded the corner, he could see gate of U.A., clear as day. As he approached, he saw a familiar face. Standing on the steps before the school was none other than the Pro Hero, Glory! He was a relatively low-profile hero, but Kio wasn't the type to forget any sort of name, let alone that of an extremely capable hero. Instead of climbing the ranks to top hero, he was now the president of the school! Lucky him, he'd always wanted to meet the guy. But now, it was a bit intimidating standing in his mere presence. Kio was all for the challenge! That's what life was all about, baby! As he walked up to his new principal, he managed to get out a few words. "Principal Glory?" He managed to get out, without stuttering. The man, with a stack of sheets in his hand, proceeded to ransack through them in a quick attempt to find his supposed file. It didn't take much time at all, either! He really was a pro! "Somehow. And you're... Akagi?" "Akagi Kio. It's great to be here. But you, uh...Aren't you a bit too young to be a Principal?" He said, with a little hint of sass at the end. "Aren't you a little young to be asking questions like that? The people on the school board figured I would be best for the job a few years back. After all, I went here along with a few other names you are more likely to recognize." It made total sense to him, but he still wasn't sure why Glory would take up the job anyway. He tried to decide if he wanted to prod a little more, but it probably wasn't the time or place to do so. He wanted to give Glory a whole interview, but sadly schooling was in the way. "Probably. I never forget a name once I hear it!" He said, beaming a smile the principal's way. "Although, those can't be the only qualifications to run this place, right?" He knew the answer of course, but you didn't really get the chance to jeer pro's in the flesh. "Well, after the place got attacked so many times, they figured they would put the strongest person they could find right at the center. But now it's my turn to ask a question. It's one I'm asking everyone. Why do you want to be a hero, Akagi Kio?" "Strongest, huh? So number 77 gets title of strongest now?" Kio laughed, before clearing his throat. His reason was simple, after all. And it was his dream ever since he had become bored of sports. "I just want to challenge myself! I want to see what the real heroes deal with, and overcome all obstacles that come my way!" He stretched his palm, opening and closing his hand. "I just want to prove to myself and everyone else that my Quirk is strong." "You don't seem particularly interested in helping anyone." The question almost smacked him across the face. He never really thought about saving others...just testing himself. But that was all wrapped up in the title of being a hero, right? He'd hopefully learn that lesson here anyways! But for now, it was time to bs an answer. "Well that's all apart of the challenge, right? It would be too easy if I didn't have to help anyone." "This generation never seems to want to relax, does it? Go on and head inside. I'm sure you remember your way to class from the tour a few weeks ago." "Never forget!" Kio saluted Glory, before walking straight past him. After he was out of earshot, he let out a sigh of relief, picking up his head with a huge grin. "Man, I should have gotten his autograph! I'll remember for next time!" His class was close by, as he made his way in a hurry. He hoped he would be the first one, so he might be able to see all the others enter after him in an attempt to gauge how interesting they were. However, when he slid the door open, he realized that he was behind the curve by a small margin. He snapped his fingers in a small fit of annoyance, but smiled shortly afterward. There were snacks out on the front desk, as he glided over to them and promptly picked one up. He took an obnoxiously large bite out of it, before giving off a sound of delight. "Mmmm-mm! Scrumptious! Whoever made these is definitely gonna have to show me after class today!" He walked over to a vacant desk in the middle row on the left by the windows, and placed his backpack on the top. "I'm Akagi Kio, but you can just call me Kio! Pleasure to meet you early birds!"
  20. "I already did." "Like hell you did! Why don't you show a little respect and speak up, for once!" "Yeesh, chill out, bro! I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it, D. Ri~ght?" Derick's, forced upon him by this god forsaken agency, partner came sliding up to him. He propped his elbow on Derick's shoulder, whilst cheekily taking a bite out of his apple. Derick jabbed his elbow into Kane's rib cage, hoping to dislocate a few, knowing it wouldn't matter due to his gift. Still, he hoped it had hurt at least somewhat. No one in this room could even attempt to emulate how much this man frustrated him so. It was like they matched Derick with the polar opposite personality type in hopes that he would slay him where he stood. He'd come close to doing it many times before now, but this moment might have been the one to break the camel's back. "Oh but of course she didn't!" A ray of sunshine then stepped into the mix. This girl was annoying in her own right, but at least she wasn't some deranged psycho like the rest of these 'hunters'. "It's obvious that what happened here is just a simple accident. Isn't that right, Kira? So if anything, it's water under the bridge. So I think we can let bygones be bygones with this little happenstance, am I wrong, Kane? After all...we really shouldn't have our partners fight each other..." Derick looked to Masako, before turning back to Kira. "I just...want to be not here." The sentiment made his stomach sink, almost showing a glint of regret in his eye. After closing his eyes, he took a long pause. He took one deep breath in, and taking his time, breathed out. "Whatever." He said, striding to the side of Kira and moving past her. "Just make sure you watch where you're going next time. You could run into somebody way worse than me around here." With that, Derick had left the meeting room, and made his way for the training room. This weekly briefing had been interrupting his hourly 10000 sword swings.
  21. Team ThunderWaves "Nothing's funny." Another giggle. "I don't know what you're talking about." More giggles. "I've never been more serious in my life." "Oh you're serious all right! Seriously annoying!!!!!" Taiga roared into the hailstorm, getting smacked in the cheek by a shard of Ice she barely saw coming. It had enough force behind it to knock a few of her teeth loose, as she spat them to the snow below. They'd grow back soon enough, but it still hurt. Readjusting her mouth, she looked over to the skirmish between the two Alolans. The Raichu seemed to be making quick work of the girl now, throwing her around like a ragdoll, and coming down on her with a wave of water. But wasn't he an electric-type? It didn't matter to her either way, as long as the threat was taken care of. "Fufufu...wrap it up will you? I don't got time to waste dealing with giggling freaks." That's when Taiga noticed that the Raichu's wave of water had been frozen solid, somehow. With Keanu in bind, the Gijinka made a mad dash to slash the Raichu's throat. "Eh, could use some help here!" "How pathetic." Taiga's reaction time was impeccable, bursting forward in a split second. She managed to slide all the way up the frozen wave, managing to intercept the Sandslash with a swift kick to the ribs. "Always the one asking for help. Can't you take care of it yourself with that flashy mind attack?" Taiga bared her fangs, making short work of the bind on Keanu's feet. "Fight, would you? It's sad to see you still tryin' to bargain with this lunatic." With her instincts detecting another rush of bloodlust, Taiga looked up above to see another barrage of icicles darting down at the two. "Just great. Get out of my way." Taiga delivered the same kick into Keanu that he had smacked their opponent with. He definitely wasn't fast enough to dodge it. She was, but in her attempt to save Keanu, an Icicle managed to lodge itself into Taiga's right hand. "W-whatever!" Taiga groaned, as she chopped the protruding bits of ice off, leaving the ice in the middle of her hand to stop blood from flowing. "You bitch! Look what you did to my second favorite hand!" She raised it to show the Gijinka, who could only giggle before fading away back into the hail. "GET BACK HERE FREAK!" She roared into the storm, once more.
  22. He had gotten here early, as always. He stood against one of the walls of the room, barely paying any mind to all the other hunters who showed up. Honestly, it was surprising to him that most, if not all of them, were actually here in attendance. There were a lot of people here who he detested for their lack of punctuality. But then again, they were all mostly just a bunch of kids. Derick's sword hung at his hip, as he rested an arm on the top of it, listening to Shawn drone on. Apparently, a director of the Demon Hunter Agency was on his way here. As pointless as the information was for him, he would like to see what these higher ups had in terms of ability, if anything at all. The second part of the agenda made Derick grind his teeth, because they had already talked about the incident the week before. This time he'd take the effort to scold those who were partaking in such activities. "Misusing your gifts...almost like the real deal would." Derick said, cheekily glaring over the crowd. "At least act like you're better than the enemy. You're Hunters for god's sake. Act like it!" His voice boomed. He was growing frustrated, as he tapped the kashira of his blade. They could do what they wanted, to him it didn't matter in the end. As if to stop himself from getting too heated from being around all of the idiots, he decided to rush off. In his hurried state, he didn't notice that someone had bumped into him. It was Kira, the resident powerhouse of their branch. The girl looked flustered, muttering unintelligibly to him. It made his left eyebrow go off the fritz in annoyance that this girl insisted on being in his way, even though the brat had bumped into him! "Move." Derick's teeth grinding began to intensify. "Normally, you'd apologize to one you just ran into." Derick stood in front of the girl like a brick wall. "Why don't you apologize first."
