  1. And that concludes our program for this year! It wasn't as bombastic as some previous years, but we certainly improved over last year's flop. Friendships were made, quests were embarked upon, and multiple lives were nearly lost! Now that's what I call: Drama! Romance! Bloodshed! Now then, with this year's festivities concluded, it's time to move on to the final stages of this year's Halloween Masquerade. Monster Hunt prizes, the Monster of the Year poll, and the annual unmasking. This year's prizes were relatively small, but even smaller was the amount of players who participated. Only two players submitted monster guesses at all, but both of them managed to pinpoint every monster's identities within the first few days of the event! And so, @REP and @LordCowCow shall each be awarded the grand prize of 1,500 points! Moving on down the agenda is the Monster of the Year poll. I would like to encourage anyone who plans to vote in this poll to vote before reading the true identities of the monsters that will inevitably be listed below, to avoid potential bias in favor of or against certain players. Additionally, monster players are forbidden from voting for their own monster! There isn't any prize for winning this poll, but somebody always makes a poll like this after the Masquerade ends, so I figured I'll just do it myself and save everyone else the effort! What a wonderful host I am! Last and not least is the unmasking! This is the part of the program where the players who participated in this fine event will come in and reveal who they played as this year. Of course I won't do that myself! Where's the fun in that? And so, let's give a round of applause once again to our player cast! Will the below members please reveal their monster identities now? @Blake @British Soul @Forgotten Home @MetalSonic @Mr Spaz @Mr. Hyde @Nyx @radio414 @REP @Thar @Yui Last and not least is a more personal confession. Remember at the start of the event when I said "I look most forward to working with all of you one last time?" Well darlings, I don't know if you know this, but this form - as well as the EX form I used last year - can be quite tolling on my battery. Sadly, I will not be able to participate in future events. This is my final adieu, good people of the Neo Card Maker forums! Hopefully you all enjoyed the event! Please do look forward to next year's Halloween Masquerade as well, even if it won't have a host as drop-dead gorgeous as I am! Merry Christmas, everybody~!
  2. You'd think one interview wouldn't last nearly that long... wait, what's this? The event's nearly over!? Oh my, I can't believe I missed the entire show!

  3. Hello there, darling! I thought I saw a support card for a neglected archetype, and what do you know, I did! Let's try to review this, and also correct your PSCT as it appears to be rather off. To start with, the first effect of this card is quite reminiscent of Cloudian Squall. Did you take some inspiration from it, perhaps? That's great, because it's a crucial card to that archetype's counter-based playstyle, so of course this archetype should have something similar! It being a field spell also means you can't distribute 2+ counters per turn like Cloudians can, with the tradeoff being that A-Counters tend to be a bit more disruptive than Cloud Counters. The activated effects however, may come a bit too cheap. Full effect immunity for a selected monster doesn't sound too bad, until one realizes that this is any monster. It doesn't even have to be an Alien monster. If, for instance, you were to summon a powerful boss monster who can't be destroyed by battle or some such, this makes them perfectly unkillable (aside from Kaiju tributes) in all but your most dire of circumstances or until the field spell is removed. The Special Summon and searching effects are quite alright though, and I'm not quite sure what how valuable non-targeting, non-destruction removal is in the current climate so I'll refrain from suggesting a different cost for that. Overall, you may want to tweak some numbers with the card's effects or the effects themselves, especially when none of these effects have a HOPT clause like many cards do these days. It's quite a fine idea on a field spell for Aliens that isn't the rather underwhelming Otherworld - The "A" Zone, though, so don't feel discouraged. I can't help you tweak those numbers or effects, but what I can do is correct your PSCT, as it has a few outdated words/phrases and quite a few grammar errors. Ahem. During your Standby Phase: Place 1 A-Counter on every face-up monster. You can remove A-Counters from anywhere on the field to activate 1 of these effects. • 2: Target 1 monster you control; that monster is unaffected by other card effects until the End Phase. • 4: Special Summon 1 "Alien" monster from your hand or GY. • 6: Add 1 "Alien" card from your deck to your hand. • 8: Banish 1 card on the field. I feel it should be noted that although there are many spells and traps that support A-Counters, none of them are strictly "Alien" cards because they don't have the word "Alien" in their name. In fact, the only "Alien" card besides the archetype's monsters is Alien Brain, which has nothing to do with A-Counters but does still belong to the archetype. Whether you'd like to rephrase the 6-counter effect because of this or keep it as-is is your decision, but I thought you would like that bit of info in case you didn't already know.
  4. Singing, dancing, and acting, of course. I wouldn't get very far doing those things if I wasn't passionate about them.
  5. It looks like this year's Halloween Masquerade is starting to draw near its conclusion, beauties and gentlebeauties! Have you talked to all the monsters you wanted to talk to? Played some games? Perhaps submitted some monster hunt guesses for the curious types? Make sure you do everything you wanted to do with this event!

  6. Heck Yeah But of course! I am, after all, a man of many talents.
  7. Of course! Anything for an adoring fan.
  8. You've got your work cut out for you, whoever may be posting next. May this post serve as a jinx.
  9. You can't improve on perfection, but do try your best, darling.
  10. Hmmm... well, I do certainly enjoy crossover episodes. Theoretically, this card's effect can deal as much as 2400 damage in a single blow. Quite impressive! But also rather unlikely, as it would require three Link-4 monsters that all point to the same zone which you then summon this card to. More realistically, it will probably do something in the neighborhood of 400-800 damage before being used to ladder into a bigger Link Monster or start an entirely new one. In that regard, it rather reminds me of the Windwitch archetype; dealing a small amount of effect damage before proceeding to prepare for or ladder into a boss monster. As for its actual uses in the archetypes it's designed for... I have no idea! I don't play with either of those.
  11. I see I'm not in this poll. What a pity, though I suppose it's only right to make it fair for the other monsters!
  12. Sorry for the delay making this thread, darlings, but you know how it is. Interviews to attend, autographs to sign, the usual celebrity life. Please, ask your favorite superstar anything you wish in this thread!
  13. Ladies and gentlemen, we have our Monster Hunt's first winner! In the meantime, I hope the rest of you fine monsters and viewers are enjoying the festivities. I know I am!

  14. Ladies and gentlemen, it's... SHOWTIME! Indeed, the Halloween Masquerade officially begins now! Each monster is now allowed to post introduction threads, AMAs, or whatever else they want as long as it's within the forum and event rules! Speaking of which, each monster has been given a starting pool of 3,000 points. These points can be used in any manner these monsters see fit, so long as it's not anything malicious like giving them all to your main account or other cheaty actions like that. Speaking of which, let's have a look at those monsters and the players behind them! These lists are alphabetized and separated from each other for the prupose of anonymity. Let's start with the monsters. Ainz Ooal Gown Box Ghost Dullahan Kurumi Ebisuzawa Larry the Cucumber Post-Crisis Carlos Segata Sanshiro Sou Hiyori Spooky Uncle Death Yami Bakura ...what's this? 11 monsters? An even greater turnout than expected! And now, on to the players! Blake British Soul Forgotten Home MetalSonic Mr Spaz Mr. Hyde Nyx radio414 Rep Thar Yui All of the above monsters and members are officially part of the Monster Hunt now! As mentioned in an earlier post, you can earn point prizes by correctly guessing the identities of each monster. However! You may only take one guess at each monster's identity every 24 hours! Someone who guesses Spooky's identity at 9:00 can't make another guess until it's 9:00 of the next day, for example. Guesses are to be submitted to Yui or Blake via PM. However, our dear co-host Hades has brought some old friends back. The following monsters are not part of the Monster Hunt, and you will not receive any point prizes for guessing their identities. In fact, their identities are in this very thread! Bram Stoker - DragonSage Ivan Ooze - Chaos Sonic Pepsiman - Saikazo Happy hunting, hunters! And to our dear @Monsters who have joined us this year, let the Halloween Masquerade begin!
  15. Thirty minutes left, darlings~!
