  1. With Mermaid out of the picture, I am happy I can finally stop seeing all these freaking Orcust hybrids that don't need to exist... Now can Trickstar get their Light Stage back at 2 or 3 now that Mermaid is gone, please? Thanks.
  2. I hope not... I this is the one of the few Decks I don't like. XD And if they do I hope they are subpar. Lol Jk In all seriousness, yeah only thing I can think of is they can ladder with this thing. The last effect is more of a last resort during your opponent's turn, and laddering/ outting combo on your turn. I think you can Ladder up to Link 3 with this on your own turn if you really wanted to since you can use both effects once each (e.g. using monsters as Link material counts as removing cards from field). Requires a lot ED usage though.
  3. So in YCM... I apparently can only access a blank account I completely forgot about (I made it just to just to check YCM out back in the day).  Yet, I can't get into my account that I actually spent time on. XD

Well the previous wait right around when NCM was born did. After that I only showed up there to post CC stuff where the "audience" was split and didn't really get any reviews there. So it was also that the interest of others was so thinly distributed that it gave kind of an apathetic vibe. Sure there isn't as much reviews here as YCM's glory days, but at least we get something here.

I appreciate your concern though... I was just there to salvage a few things that I might update and post here.

  4. I was wondering when they were going to make a good Zubaba now we have a good Onomatopaira target in that department... But, it forces you to run the other Onomatopaira targets outside of Gagaga and Zubaba since this would count as both categories: Gagaga and Zubaba. At least it does something for the rest though. It ties down the theme better than the rest.
  5. I was hoping it would be a way to combat Ghostrick's modern day struggle: clashing with Links and their flip-face down immunity.... But, yeah we got this instead. : / Although recycling their Spells and Traps is neat, but then I realize Ghostrick Scare is likely the only one you'll be recycling unless one of your Field Spells or Continuous Traps get destroyed.... And also it banishes what you recycled after use or removal... Making it unrecyclable. Yeah this isn't as good as I thought it was. Uhhh... Well at least it is... Cute? Sure.
  6. Super Quantum Yellow Layer: Stat wise, 800/1000, I understand it being an Edea target... But, Edea unfortunately has a built in Extra Deck restriction after using its effect which works against how Super Quantums play which is solely getting into Extra Deck whether they are able to make Great Magnus or not. While the search is nice... I remember a great deal of there Spells and Traps where really situational or unwieldy. Perhaps your Spell is the best thing to search next to the Field Spell. The sending Spell/Trap effect is only good for sending Super Quantal Alphan Spike and any thing that you need your Black Layer to pick up. Super Quantum Black Layer: Is a more precise means of pulling out the Super Quantal you want from your Deck compared to Alphan, but unlike Alphan you don't get all those sweet benefits of sending a bunch of Super Quantals to the GY, and it even prevents the other Super Quantal effect from activating. But I suppose it is for the best given if this thing is Summoned by Alphan you can probably get a lot of resources with ease. The Spell/Trap recovery effect does give offer possible fuel for the Field Spell or way to pull out your ideal Quick-Play Spell... So there is potential with that effect. Super Quantal Mech Beast Landwolf: Unlike Called by the Grave, it hits Spells and Traps which is interesting. Thing of it is though, is that it is a lot more situational compared to Called by the Grave because Normal/ Quick-Play Spells and Traps stay on the field until they resolve... Whereas all the annoying hand traps that "Called by the Grave" deals with send themselves to GY prior to fully resolving. Even with Grampulse, I could hardly imagine common usage of the effect. It simply relies too much on what your opponent has activated in the past. If anything, I think of it more as an alternative step into making Great Magnus since its Layer counterpart at least has some quality use to the Deck. Super Quantal Mech Beast Megalligator: In the situation where your opponent has Ash Blossom prior to you trying to pull off Alphan or this guy's Layer counterpart, that would kind of be a terrible hindsight to deal with. To put it shortly yeah Called by the Grave has a great effect, but I feel this is more likely going to deal with threats in the Graveyard and less likely going to deal with hand traps compared to Called by the Grave. Its effect will vary in match ups. But, again it is a step to making Great Magnus and its Layer counterpart has some good uses as well. Super Quantal Mechamaterialization: This thing pretty good, and as I said before it would outshine most of the other Spells and Traps... It offers set-up into making Great Magnus, or it gives you one of their Mechbeast Xyz to retaliate. It does require some GY set-up, but that can be done by discards with the Field Spell or Green Layer, White Layer, or Alphan... So in all it ties well with the Deck. Overall, I like that you try to incorporate more usage into the Spells and Traps even though most of the Spells and Traps are meh. The Xyz are... okay, but at the very least their Layer counterparts help the Deck nicely and these Xyz are alternative steps to making Magnus. And I can see why it would be hard to balance final distribution effects given the existing Xyz members cover a pretty wide range of utility... So I think the balance there is justified. And the Quick-Play Spell is amazing. As far as flavor goes... I don't really know if you hit the mark. I am not very familiar with what archetype is referencing... So sorry I have no input to give you there.
  7. Another thing I noticed... Yearmory can attach copies of itself from the Deck which in essence you could use this as means of Deck thinning. I would exclude it from being able to attach itself.
  8. K Made the Field Spell able to stack different bulleted effects with following effect: " If this card would have its effect become a bulleted effect listed on a "Graffigher" monsters card text, this card gains the effect instead (This card cannot gain 2 of the same effects) " Not sure if this would be accurate on how they would word it, but yeah... This is my approach. Made fixes to Traps, and made "Furious Fumes" into a "Graffighter Tag" card. Made "Graffighter Azubalt" Level 2 as it would not only be a means to get out Treatoad, but could be dumped by Swap Frog (because it meets WATER/Aqua/ Lv 2 requirement) in the instance one would want to combine the Frog Engine with this Deck. Made the Graffighter monsters able to change current effects as oppose to original. So that they can juggle effects on a single card if they wanted to. In addition, flavor fixes: Made "Graffighter" Continous Spells named "Graffighter Art" to represent the positive side of graffiti and kept Continuous Traps to be named "Graffighter Tag" to represent the negative side of graffiti. Pending Support and the last of it: Link 4 boss monster to be expected 1 more Trap.
  9. Yeesh... I wish there was way to make it less of a run-on like how I initially typed it. XD It lost some wording elegance in the aftermath. I am going to look for that example if possible. EDIT: So I at least found a monster that uses bullet points as a break: Magician's_Souls , but I don't know if that is just because of how OCG can do things (given it hasn't been released in TCG yet). Plus, I don't think that is enough to justify my PSCT ideals here as much as I don't like how the wording looks.
  10. K I removed that clause... And just replaced it with the word "Also,". After looking at other excavation effects... Though I haven't seen that written after bullet point effects or listings before. Maybe I am missing a good example there.
  11. In terms of knowledge gaining... Yeah I'd rather run Mind_Haxorz or The_Eye_of_Truth. I mean I get it.... It is suppose to do more than just gain knowledge when going mirror (as previously mentioned) or running very similar generics to your opponent, but I don't really play Decks where a mirror would be all that common for me personally. In any other situation it is usually just a worse Respect_Play. The only true redeeming quality of card is the art's continuation of the lore of Pikeru/Curran rivalry with a more dynamic focus.
  12. Love, hate relationship with this card. What I love: Her banish effect is pretty unique and it can bypass once per turns of Spells you banished... What I hate: But, at the same time, I am not sure if it is all that optimal for Witchcraft as you no longer get to recycle the Spell you banished during your End Phase. Seems one would only one to use this effect if they have to... But, I guess in the end the GY effect is optional and it is there when you need it, and she does what the other 3 small Witchcraft do. I prefer the other 3 small Witchcraft GY effect wise. This seems like a 1 of to me.
  13. Artifact Lucerne LIGHT [Fairy/Link/Effect] Link Rating: 1 Link Markers: S ATK/ 1000 1 Level 5 "Artifact" monster You can also Link Summon this card by using 1 Set "Artifact" Spell card you control whose original card type is Monster as material. When this card is Special Summoned: Add 1 "Artifact" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Artifact Lucerne" once per turn. (Quick Effect): Tribute this card and target 1 Set card on either player's side of the field; destroy it. Next Card: A Link monster with a Link Rating of 3 that only uses Normal monsters as material (Not Tokens)
  14. Ohhh I see. Well that ties in well with its effect as well considering it would be the toolbox of the archetype. Pretty creative flavor choice given the limitations. ?
  15. Only thing you need on this thing is the type. Which would allow us to review this to some extent... But, it is a high Level Normal Monster. So in most case there usually is little to review there unless the Leveling/Stats/Typing combination is really unique and/or beneficial. Or if this is a Tuner or Normal Pendulum.
  16. For flavor purpose what aspect of the Chinese Zodiac is this suppose to represent? We ran out of 12 of Chnese Zodiac animals to represent. So I am not sure where one would go from there to relate to the general theme. Other than maybe a few other animals that in the non-Chinese variant of the Zodiac such as the Cat in Vietnam... Can't remember if there were anymore... I can see this is an Unexpected_Dai target as well as a Rescue_Rabbit target... The latter offering more ways to pull more other Zoodiac into your Xyz's mat pool since their isn't a hard once per turn or any other restrictions. It should also be noted that Zoodiac_Tigermortar can also recycle this one's effect to pull even more Zoodiac variety into your Xyz's mat pool. While this all would greatly help out the recently crippled Zoodiacs, I am afraid this design would be a deterrent from unbanning Zoodiac_Broadbull and Zoodiac_Drident. Ultimately Zoodiac's would want there engine and boss right now. XD
  17. Pays homage to Rex Raptor obviously. He never got around using all that many effect monsters, did he? XD It is pretty cool wording on the application of the effects in which you can get both bulleted effects from revealing Level 5 or higher. I might have to borrow bits of it somewhere down the line. The effects aren't ground breaking by any means, but if one is willing to go the extra mile to get both effects you can run Fossil_Dig and Summoner's_Art to get your Level 5 or higher Normal Dinosaur more consistently. And be able to float into it when this guy dies. Although, it probably won't see all that much play given Normal Dinos aren't the most sought after Deck in the world, I can appreciate this tribute to Rex's old school Deck. Oh and one more thing, for flavor purpose you could include revealing a Normal Dragon as well as floating into it when it gets destroyed... Considering Rex in the anime for some reason was the original owner of Red-Eyes_B._Dragon and Serpent_Night_Dragon.
  18. I am curious... Flavor wise, is this related to one of Ishizu_Ishtar cards: Blast_Held_by_a_Tribute. It seems to pay homage to her "prophetic" powers and the fact that she tried to use that card against Kaiba. Anyways, I like the built in "Convulsion of Nature" effect as it gives you knowledge of what to expect. Last effect is nifty as it can put your opponent in a stand still for their Link monsters that used what ever you targeted, and it can kill your opponent or prevent them from battling in the event that they summoned something that has ATK over there current LP.
  19. I see so the name change effect is to make the respective "Metal" counter parts of the Normal monster you sent more accessible to Summon. It is a shame the "Metal" monsters are just beaters though. XD I am even more disappointed that we haven't got Heavy_Metal_King yet. I mention this because in the event that we ever get it, its non-"Metal" counterpart, Musician_King, is non-Effect Fusion, not just a Normal Monster... So may want to emphasize sending a 1 Non-Effect monster from your Deck Extra Deck or GY just in case.
  20. While anything would be good for Gate Guardian and his trio of outdated misfits... And this is certainly no exception: it is great for what it does. But, I feel this is a bit too straightforward for my taste. It essentially gives any Deck that is capable of Normal Summoning/Setting a big beatstick with multiple destruction prevention. Personally, I would rather see multiple archetypal support for these that would facilitate getting out the trio quicker and perhaps even a retrain of Gate Guardian than just 1 generic card consolidated for the purpose of just getting out Gate Guardian for any Deck. On to what can actually be done with this card though. And because there is no once per turn here: You could technically run Decks capable of multiple Normal Summons like Hunder to get more copies of the trio from your Deck if you have any which could be used for fueling a few things for crazy hybrid Decks (e.g. True Draco, Scrubbed_Raid , etc.).
  21. Bump. Added a seemingly redundant clause: " While this card is face-up on the field, " on the gained Continuous effects from Graffighter Main Deck monsters to emphasize that they are non-lingering continuous effects. Reason being that because "Graffighter Tagrey" and "Graffighter Tag - Vandalism" are Spell Speed 2, they can target Normal Spells/Traps and Quick-Play Spells and give them specific effects which I thought would lead to controversy in ruling. People may believe that those effects that the Normal Spell/Trap or Quick-Play Spells would gain would be lingering meaning some of those effects could last the remainder of the Duel once those cards resolved which would be problematic and broken beyond repair. Also, changed up "Graffighter Versenic" destruction prevention effect so that it wouldn't send the card whose effect was changed to the GY. How it is written is understandably weird... Borrowed it from Performapal_Gumgumouton. Also, I just considered something that maybe controversial... How would this Graffighter's changing effect gimmick work with Pendulum Monsters when they are a scale or on the field as monster which effects would it affect? And if I just wanted to clarify that it is the active effect that the Pendulum Card is using whether it would be on the scale or as a monster that changes... Hypothetically speaking, how would I do that?
  22. So any word on whether the feature can get added in CC Singles?
