Ashlyn, Dream Fairy LIGHT Level 3 [Fairy/Tuner/Effect] 0/1800 If a Trap Card is activated while you control a Set monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then gain LP equal to the total ATK of all face-up monsters on the field, and if you do, set as many other face-up monsters as possible. - - - - - - A bit of a sucker for LP gain effects, and I am aware that Links make this hard to be a real huge disruptor nowadays unless timed really REALLY well, plus it asks for a Trap to trigger to top it off, but I didn't wanna compete with Nibiru entirely. Wanted to make an archetype of around 6 cards in terms of drawing the images and this is the first one I've gotten to ink and color in months, but I ended up only being able to complete 1. Hopefully I can rehabilitate my drawing habit a bit more from here xP

So I was watching this anime called "SSSS Gridman" last night... pretty much all in one sitting. Then I went out to look at the original live action sow from the early 90s (episode 1 of it at least). Then I went on to looking up Kaiju designs. None of my doodles are as awesomely detailed as the monsters I found, but still, it inspired me to try to sketch up a couple ideas xD I wanna do a few more later. I wanna use them for card art too. The Yugioh Kaijus are pretty good art on their own merit but looking back they don't quite give me the same "Kaiju" feel I get from monsters from Tokusatsu shows. Also for flavor, since they are always wrecking the city I think the effect concept would be to destroy field spells to drop them on the board and get bonuses x different field spells in the GYs, or something along those lines. Might iron up the concept once I get around to finish the drawing part of it xP

What if you wanted Junk Synchron to be good. Like. Really good? DP23-JP024 ジャンク・コンバーター Junk Converter Level 2 EARTH Warrior Effect Monster ATK 400 DEF 200 You can only use each effect of this card’s name once per turn. (1) Discard this card and 1 Tuner; add 1 “Synchron” monster from your Deck to your hand. (2) If this card is sent to the GY as Synchro Material: You can target 1 Tuner in your GY; Special Summon that monster in Defense Position, but during the turn that monster was Special Summoned, it cannot activate its effects. https://ygorganization.com/foryoungerpeoplethisisreferencinganavconverter/

Compressed Heated Diamond Dragon LIGHT Level 3 [Dragon/Effect] 800/2200 (This card is always treated as a Normal Monster). All monsters your opponent controls are treated as FIRE Pyro monsters, in addition to their original Type and Attribute. If this card is Summoned by the effect of "Carboneddon": You can add up to 1 "Hydrogeddon", 1 "Oxigeddon", and 1 "Duoterion" from your Deck to your hand. If this card is sent to the GY: You can send any number of "Water Dragon" or "Water Dragon Cluster" from your hand or Deck to the GY. Then, draw 1 card for each monster sent from your hand this way. - - - - - Even Fossil Dig and Souleating Oviraptor aren't quite proving to be enough to support the consistency of Bastion's chemical archetype. "Bonding DHO" not pulling the Water Dragons form anywhere, as if having Dragons and Sea Serpents in an otherwise Dinosaur deck wasn't complicated enough. Said Trap also restocks the materials into the Deck so it's a bit hard to recur after enough Clusters have dropped. This makes regular Water Dragons permanent weakeners for the opponent's field, and does both Type and Attribute as a double lock. If they run Zombie World, their Zombies are still FIRE. If they run the DARK field Spell, their DARKs are still Pyro. Soooo yeah xD Carboneddon having a reason to be ran with the other chemicals should open up the possibilities to finally mix with them as the missing element needed for that Fire Dragon from the GX opening that we never got to see in action.

You wouldn't be able to negate an activating Spell/Trap if you respond with the Bonding Trap, since their chain would resolve first, then Fire Dragon's effect would start a new one. Also I realized that monsters with 0 ATK are often practically dead xD so banishing them comes off as an overkill except when facing monsters with battle protection. Maybe try something else? If it's a Dragon of fire, it could destroy a.k.a. explode monsters your opponent controls for example, I'm thinking WIND and EARTH monsters, but that would be more off-theme xD

Well, that's a potentially big boon for Life Points. Unless maybe your opponent runs a Link-heavy Deck. And that consideration along with the Defense-changing I say balances stuff out. It does a lot, but it's very passive and specific on how to do this. I mean, you could pull this off with cards like Infinite Impermanence or Red Reboot. And with the latter, it'd really help with the activation cost. And I appreciate Tuners if they're not too restrictive. So I say this one's okay. Looks cute, and has a cute effect.

Make Fire Dragon not miss timing with the last effect. Pretty sure that SSing as a cost is not a thing so you have to redact Nitrogeddon's self-Summoning effect. The Bonding seems flexible enough but as a Trap it has that inherent 1-turn stun... that doesn't really assist with this series with breaking boards. It doesn't help that Fire Dragon needs the monsters to have 0 ATK to banish them. Clearly it's intended to combo with the Water Dragons, as well as techs like "Ghost of a Grudge" or even Reptilianne stuff, but those aren't as consistent themselves and it's more of a case of "you need A to do B". Then again, it has a potent Spell/Trap stun, but that means it may want to be Summoned first to stun backrow and then follow up with a Water Dragon, but at the same time it wants the Water Dragons to be Summoned before for the ATK reductions. Maybe if the GY effect of this Trap turned all of the opponent's monsters currently on the field into FIRE/Pyros, it would help a bit.

Name sounds a bit too exaggerated and could be simplified to "Compressed Diamond Dragon", although to be fair there do are cards with complex names around so it's fine. I feel it does a bit too many things. Even if we consider the Normal monster treatment as more of a card trait than an effect, and I do get it's to make it Summonable by Carboneddon, it still has 3 active effects. Feels like a bit too much for a Level 3 maindeck monster to me. IMO you could make an additional monster or card for the series and give 1 effect from this cards to it. But if I had to choose an effect to remove, I would go for the last one since it feels a bit more off-theme as diamond/carbon is less associated with water. By the way, you could give it 2100 DEF as a nod to Hyozanryu's 2100 ATK. Would be neat to make it search Hyozanryu too for flavor, as well as Carboneddon to make an a engine of sorts.

Water Dragon series may not be doing much, but this looks like solid support for them. Sending the materials from anywhere and Summoning the Dragon from almost anywhere is needed and welcomed flexibility. Even better as a Quick-Play Spell. IDK if this card alone would make the series relevant enough, but it's great support anyway IMO.
