  1. "M'body can't breathe." Oswald looked to Naomi, who plopped into the waters as lazily as she seemed to do everything. It was comical enough that he had to laugh a bit. The Clerk had gotten into the water as well. He looked to where Kanon had gone off to talk with the dock workers, and shrugged. He jumped right into the water alongside Naomi and Snipe, trying his best not to splash the girl and her floaties. "You know." The clerk told Oswald. "I can't stay here all day. I've done this before and I can tell there's no danger. Those workers are just such sticklers though. They wouldn't let us go in until they've completely packed up. I don't know about you but I'm not gonna wait around until they finish gossiping or whatever guys like that do when they're done with actual work." She gave Oswald a mock salute. "See you under the waves, comrade!" Since she was under the water now, there was no point in saying that he'd be waiting for Kanon. He patiently treaded water until she arrived at the dock. "I couldn't just not ask, but they said it's not okay to go until they... finish up here...Where's the clerk lady?" Oswald scratched his cheek, as he began to sink into the water. "Uhm....she's already gone ahead of us. So I suggest we follow before we lose her!" He looked to Naomi and waved. "Hang tight! We'll be right back!" Oswald placed the breather in his mouth, and ushered Kanon to jump in. He submerged, where Snipe was ready to drag him deeper into the waves. Ahead, he could see the bright glow of the clerk's Chinchou. He pointed to the glow, and the Remoraid followed at a quick pace. It was oddly calming down here...the sound of the water muffling anything around him. Since being outside the city, he had done a lot of fun stuff. The thought made him smile.
  2. "Hoomins don't use 'mon'? That's so weird...," He muttered. "So, are there other hoomins around, or is it just you? We'll need to make sure everyone here is up to speed before my Master gets here," "Tch..." Todd kicked the ground at the mention of the others. "Like you'd need anyone else besides me. The others are nothing but a pile of good for nothing retards. They weren't cut from the protagonist cloth." Todd stopped ranting for a moment, only to scratch his temple. It seemed like he had forgotten something. "Ah man! I left my scarf and goggles at home!" He gripped his head as he sporadically shook it around. "Dumb move! Now I don't even look the part!" "Come on boss! Hold your head up! Ain't no way for a boy like you to be actin'." Pix said, slapping the side of Todd's leg with her tiny little paws. "Boss?" The word brightened his face like sunshine on blackout curtains. He pointed to himself. "Me?" "Yeah, Boss! I gotta have an agent! I can't be the number one strongest digimon on this floor without a good marketer! And you're the one person for the job!" The digimon then turned around and smirked. "But if you suck I'll drop you in a heartbeat." "Psh...whatever, Pix. I bet I'm the only human who could even put up with you in the first place." "WHAT WAS THAT?!" Pix turned around, rattling her fist at Todd, as he mirrored her. After a minute, Todd bopped Pix on the nose with his fist, and turned back to Zubamon. "Listen here, Zubamon. If you want to find the other's, I bet the best bets are the cafeteria and Library. I can show you, but I ain't gonna play nice with the lame asses." He started walking towards the Library, gesturing for the knife rat to follow. "It's just up here...I was reading before you started digging your way into the place. Some girl ignored me on her way to get you out...but I doubt she'll be of any help."
  3. Team Showdown - Oasis Inn "My younger brother, both of them honestly, were idiots." He declared bluntly. "They both were carefree and the world has a habit of punishing that." He placed his fists on his hips. "Thank you for your words but it's not necessary. I grieve his loss but he knew the risks he took putting himself in the open like that." "Cold..." Taiga said underneath her breath. "I had to hide myself when I woke up to avoid the same fate. After years of slumber this is the world I wake to." He shook his head. "Rayquaza must be getting desperate. I knew leaving him in charge when Arceus left was too much for the boy." He narrowed his eyes and leaned down towards the two. "You both feel like warriors. I can sense the urge to battle inside of you. What is it you want from me exactly? Not what he wants, but you." Taiga stood upright, scratching the back of her head. "Man...I've been havin' to think about that reason a lot lately." She crossed her arms, displaying a wide, toothy grin. "My name's Taiga. Taiga the Terrible! Tyrant of the Tide! I lust for the lost treasures of the world...so you're probably just sensing my urge to find some in this desert! Fufufufu!" Taiga flexed her rather toned arm. "Trust me gramps, we've tangoed with plenty of legends, and we've knocked em all down, and only one of 'em had anything worth calling treasure!" Taiga picked out a small crystal from her pocket. "That'd be from when we beat Diancie!" Taiga scratched her chin. "Although...if you've got somethin' worth my time, we could go at it if you wanna." She then pointed towards Landorus. "You said that you left the big green idiot in charge of things, so why don't you come back and lead the charge?! The people who killed your brother are coming for the rest of ya legends...so we might as well go down fightin' together." She then pointed her thumb to her chest. "That way, I can survive to collect all the treasure in the world! FUFUFUFU!"
  4. “Yoshino-san!” "I'm fine." She said, as her pace slowed down. Misu dislodged the embedded spine from her arm, spattering blood all over the green brush surrounding them. She grit her teeth, and grunted, as she placed pressure on the wound. "Just catch the damn thing!" As if on queue, Katsurou had in fact made an attempt to catch the energetic creature. As the metal stick lodged into the loamy ground, the Spiked Raccoon halted in it's tracks, opting to make a mad dash towards the left. However, chains slowly entangled themselves around the creature, as it made a high pitched shriek common to the species. However, in tandem with the screech, it rattled it's spines as if to warn the two to not approach. Misu, ignoring the obvious signal, walked up to the chained creature. She went to kick it, but saw how the creature shuddered in her shadow. "Huh!? You wanna act all tough back there, but now that we caught ya you wanna play the cute and cuddly shit?" Misu crossed her arms, looking at her clotting wound, as she spat towards the side of the Raccoon. "Whatever. Guess I won't pummel you to a squishy Raccoon pulp." Misu turned to Katsurou, gesturing towards the creature. "Make sure you cover up them spines real good...we don't want him misfiring when we bring him back to camp." Just beyond the trees, Misu spotted a hint of blue, and the sound of rushing water. "Let's make a pit stop first...I'm parched after chasing that thing..." She rubbed the bottom of her nose. "Cardio isn't my strongest suit..." The gangly creature continued to sprint forth. As it looked back, it noticed the two had suddenly split off from the chase, taking different paths from one another. A calming sense of relief flooded the creatures head, as it's body became more relaxed as it darted deeper into the forest. However, the creature stopped in it's tracks for a split second, only to dash off again, angling slightly left of it's previous path. It normally only came here when it needed refreshment at night, but it seemed to be in a rush, as if to save something. The creature erupted from the bushes, only to meet with two other humans. The two would feel as though their heads were being rummaged through for a brief moment, before another voice rang in their heads. "More Heroes..." It looked to the raccoon that was bound by metal chains. The creature stood up straight, towering over Misu by at least two feet. "Release 011 at once, 'Heroes'...he is of no threat to you...he is in distress." "W-w-w-what the hell!" Misu managed to stammer out. With one hand gripped on her head, she pointed at the crazy looking thing in front of them. "Is that an alien!?" "You just worry about your fans leaving you once I hit the scene, alright?" "You don't need to rush!" Crimson laughed, waving a hand in front of his face. "You'll make a great hero in no time. Fire Quirk's are pretty..." Crimson couldn't stop himself from gripping his stomach, and letting loose an awkward noise from beneath his face plate. "Fire Quirk's are pretty h-" Again, his stomach started to convulse, as his laughter only became more evident. "Fire Quirk's are pretty hot right now!" Finally, Crimson let loose an incredibly boisterous laugh, slapping his knee as he bent over. After an awkward couple of seconds of continual laughter, Crimson straightened himself out. He had to wipe a tear from his eye, but after he had, he placed a hand out in front of the other two. "I was too engrossed in my incredible joke..." He pointed ahead of them, where a scrawny, pale creature stood on hind legs in front of two other teens. "I'm guessing...they're with you." He then looked to Val. "The kids...not the twig monster thing." His eyebrow then raised itself. "What are your true intentions here, Valerie? I finally found the bugger...so I'm going to take it with me." Crimson then began to stumble over his next words. "Uh...to a proper Hero Association location of course!" "I'm sure!" "You got guts, girl! Too bad you're bat shit crazy!" The man reared his fist to slam it against the girls cheek as she dove at him, but was stopped by something dragging his fist. "Huh!?" He looked back to see the tiny girl gripping his arm, making it sting like it had when it was vaporized around him. "Let go, broad!" He yelled, trying to force the girl off his arm, halfheartedly. In no time flat, Hibiki was able to sink her fangs directly into his neck. "GACK!" The man grunted, grabbing the base of Hibiki's neck with his free hand. A faint glimmer, like the one with Herc, appeared at the bite entry, and worked it's way to the arm that Yuuka held onto. A small little burst of force, not unlike a large firecracker, erupted from the man's forearm, releasing the small girl's grasp on his arm. The thug then continued his punch, hooking it as well as he could into Hibiki's face. The range would make it a bit awkward, but the force was enough to knock Hibiki's grip off of his neck. Holding the wound with the hand he punched Hibiki, then grabbed Yuuka's arm with a tight grip. He twirled her around, and launched her towards one of the buildings. With her figure, she went flying with ease. From the background, a loud yelling could be heard. "WHAT ARE YOU IDIOTS DOING OVER THERE!? YOU GONNA MAKE THE GIRLS DO ALL THE WORK FOR YOU!?" Ms. Hitotsume yelled, before dodging an ax kick from Gypsy. The kick itself cratered the ground between the two fighting women, as Ms. Hitotsume leaned into a cruel uppercut that missed by a hair. "YOU'RE PATHETIC EXCUSES FOR MEN! NOT GET YOUR ASS IN THE FIGHT, OR I'M GONNA JOIN IN, AND WHOOP YOUR ASSES WITH HIM!" Gypsy's face looked extremely intrigued, as she began to chasse from side to side, her body glowing in dazzling colors. "Come on teach! Keep your attention on me! Let's dance til the cows come home!" "You heard the lady..." The man was huffing, as he clutched his neck, his bruises starting to swell a tad more. "Stop being cowards...you don't act like any heroes I've ever seen." With a smile, the man beckoned the plotting boys forth with a gesture. "Bring it...or I'll have to get serious."
  5. After the transaction was completed, the girl shouted to someone in the back. Was the girl sane...because she had said she was the only one running the store...but he waved it off as a joke of sorts, and followed her towards the dressing rooms. On the way there, Oswald noticed Naomi had gotten herself caught by a fishing pole. He laughed as he freed her from the pole's bind. "Guess we both got hooked on fishing, huh?" He smiled, as he continued towards the dressing room. There they dressed themselves in the form fitting gear, and headed towards the docks. "Looks like a good day for diving...well, that's every day! The crane isn't working anymore so it should be safe to go. I could go ask them but..." She glanced back and smirked. "What if they say no? Then we'd have to wait, and I hate waiting, if we don't ask we can't be told not to!" She took out a Pokeball from a waterproof pouch on her side and let out the Chinchou that was inside. "If you have a Pokemon that can handle the water might wanna let them out now. It's always good to have one or two around in case of emergency." "Great idea." Oswald chimed, reaching into his suit to grab a Pokeball himself. He tapped the button aiming for the water, and released Snipe the Remoraid from his ball. "I'll be counting on you today, Snipes." Playfully, the Remoraid shot a squirt of water at Oswald's cheek. It pinged him good, but he laughed at the plucky pokemon's behavior. "Oh, yeah, guess I should tell you how this all works, shouln't I?" "That would be rather helpful, yes." Oswald said. "It's our first time so show us the ropes."
  6. Team Showdown - Oasis "I suppose I never told him I wouldn't bring up any guests." She said to herself. "Well, come on then, that geezer might as well learn to be less of a hermit." Taiga smiled as she was led up the stairs. When she entered the room, she saluted whoever she encountered. "Sorry fer intrudin'! We just wanna ask ya some questions!" "Well." The man said. As he spoke, his very voice rattled every bone in Taiga's body. "What do we have here?" Her memory was hazy, but this man's unique appearance finally triggered her synapses into remembering. This man looked like the dead legend they found in the wake of destruction in Deku. Her eyes widened as she realized that this guy was exactly who they were looking for. However, a sinking feeling hit her stomach...did this guy know that the other legend was dead? They looked similar...were they related? Her mouth hung wide for quite some time, but she managed to find her strength to speak again. She sat across from the half eaten pie, and looked at the Legend, her eyes quivering as she did. She cleared her throat. "You're Landorus right? We've been sent to recruit 'em for an army Rayquaza's building. And you sure don't look like any Gijinka I ever seen...cept..." Her eyes looked to the side. "Well...he looked like you...but he was blue...and he was kinda..." Taiga took a deep breath, before looking at Landorus again, her eyes focused this time. "He was dead." The excess air that she had breathed in expunged itself after that, as if she had been punched in the stomach. Nervously, she started again. "But it wasn't us...I imagine it was the work of a godslayer round those parts...probably that Crobat...I ain't sure." She bowed her head before the man. "I'm sorry fer yer loss!"
  7. Misu shuddered, as she watched the boy approach the rattling bush. As he opened it, she stepped back waiting for something to explode out of the foliage. She wouldn't have to wait long, as Katsurou ushered her to approach. Very hesitantly, and very shakily, she made her way to the bush and looked inside. A strange looking Raccoon with spines coming from it's rear stared back at them. “See Yoshino-san? It’s just a strange little tanuki! Nothing to be scared of!” Misu shook her head. "That ain't no ordinary Raccoon or Tanuki or whatever! Just look at it's ass!" She said, pointing at the bony spines sticking from the Raccoon's hind. As if the creature understood, it tilted it's had and chattered. "LOOK! IT UNDERSTANDS PEOPLE!" Mist started to rise from her, as she cocked a punch. "This has gotta be the thing causing a racket in this forest! Let's get it!" The Raccoon chirped, as it jumped out of the bush and into the forest. "We can't let it get away!" Misu said, jumping over the bush and dashing into the green. However, spines shot in her direction, with one digging into her forearm. "BASTARD!" She shouted, as she gave chase. "Well, the fact that we're still alive and you haven't attacked us means you aren't a villain. So that's something. With that in mind, I guess giving some assistance in searching shouldn't be too bad. Alright, I'll help. Can't speak for her, though." "Yeah, fine, you can search with us. But you better not get out of my sight. There's more than one suspicious thing in this forest." "That's the spirit!" The man said, hopping across the lake that divided them with ease. "So you two were searching for something after all, huh? What a coincidence that we met up! My intel tells me that something really weird is taking refuge here..." He said, as he led the two downstream. "So, Spring Lock Two, what is it you can do anyway?" "Oh? Trying to gather intel yourself...you seem like a cautious one. That's some good hero makin' material." He said, as the mask around his face cracked open once more, revealing his smile. "But I'm not gonna give up my trade secrets that easily. Would you tell me what your quirk is if the roles were reversed?" He laughed. "And your father would call me Spring Lock 2. My proper hero name is Crimson. Although, I doubt you've heard of me. I like to operate under the radar." He laughed again, as his mask cracked back into it's normal position. "Hopefully, I won't even have to use my Quirk today...I was really just scouting the area." He stopped the two as he pointed down towards a track in the mud. It looked somewhat hoofed, but didn't leave as much of an impact in the riverside. "This thing isn't apart of the natural habitat. We have reason to believe it's an invasive species...or worse." He took out his phone and captured a picture of the track. He continued to walk, looking back at the two. "Aren't you gonna probe me a little more? Come on, make this fun for me too!" As the creature sprinted forward on all of it's limbs, it looked back. Although it wore no physical expression, it somehow was able to give off a worried vibe. As it looked forward, the two chasing would soon find out that in the wake of the creature's path, the foliage seemed to try and grab at them vigorously. "Please...leave me be...I don't wish to go back..." The man's gaze shifted between each of the student's as he waited for the next one to make there move. Although, he still didn't seem to take this seriously, as he wore a huge smirk across his face. "Come on, that the best you got? I had better fights in kindergarten." He jabbed, wiping a thumb across his nose. That's when one finally got some guts, and gathered a strange vapor in their hands. "Uh oh...you might be trouble..." He said, as his posture lowered as he attempted to dash. "I'M SORRY IF I RUPTURE YOUR EAR DRUMS OR SOMETHIIIIIIIING!" A solid wall of sound prevented him from running off. He had to hold his ears tightly, relying only on his instincts. The sound rattled around in his head, vibrating every bone in his body. He felt like he was going to break in half. To make matters worse, a gas was forming around him, irritating his skin and eyes. He wasn't able to talk from the sheer amount of pain he was in, but he still wore a huge smile. When he was able to stand up straight for a moment, his eyes shrunk at the realization of what now was headed his way. A decently sized car had been chucked at him, but Beetle Boy was still down and out. He opened his mouth, but his voice was drowned out. The car hit him seconds after, careening towards a building that lay beside the alleyway where they emerged. It smashed into the wall, crumbling the material around it. "BOSS!" Was all that could be heard from inside the building. It seemed to be a rather run down bar. "Evac fellas! Renegade ain't done yet!" One of the goons from inside screamed, as a large explosion of dust flung the car into another neighborhood, along with some goons. The man emerged from the wreckage, while rotating his shoulder. His clothes were torn, and his body looked bruised at almost every inch. His smirk from earlier had soured into a frown. "So...you brats really think you can step on our terf, beat up some of my guys, and throw a car at me?!" The man cracked his knuckles, while laughing. "You kids are pretty insane! Sure you don't wanna join the yakuza? Any brat that can put a bruise on me is worth their weight in gold!" He staggered a bit, before stomping his foot down. "Well...the survivors have the best chance of joinin'...so why don't we start initiation!" He screamed, as he took a huge lunge towards Hibiki, twisting his hips and throwing a strong punch towards her center of gravity.
  8. Team Showdown - Oasis "Yes I remember now, you're just as bold and rude as you were then, I do hope you weren't like this to that young man in Fryst. It has been such a long time since I've seen him. Always was a strange kid, but always one who wanted to keep people safe...what were we talking about again? Oh, yes, Landorus. I don't know where you might find him. I hear he rests under the ground most of the time." She stared into Taiga's face for a while and then said. "Now if you don't need me for anything. I have an old friend upstairs who I don't want to keep waiting. He's been away for such a long time so I'm sure you can imagine we have a lot to discuss." "Who's yer friend?" Taiga said, as she started to follow the old Vibrava. "If they're as old as you are, he might have the info we need! Mind if we tag along and ask 'em?" Taiga said with a toothy grin. She gestured for the other two, who stood around lifelessly, to follow her lead. "We'll just ask some questions and then we'll be outta yer hair lickity split!"
  9. We are now a full fledged OOC! If you wish to be added to the discord for this, feel free to message me your information.
  10. "Hello hello, welcome to the shop and all that. So, you wanna go diving do you? Not many people hit me up for that. Guess no one wants a Skrelp in their hair. Well, we do got some that we can rent out. You're gonna need a guide to help you out though. And it just so happens there's someone who can instruct you right here." Is it you? I don't see anyone else. "It's me. And it won't cost you much at all, unless you break something. So where you folks intended to explore?" "The area near that big crane where all the Skrelp gather. We wanted to find out what was bringing them all together like that. We're all looking to explore down there except for her. How much would two sets of diving equipment and some floatie rings or something cost?" Kanon pulled an empty Poke Ball out of her pocket. "Also, do these still work underwater?" Oswald covered his mouth to halt the approach of a rather loud laugh. The air hit his hand as it made a strange sound between the gap of his hand and mouth. "I could answer that for you, Kanon. Of course they work underwater!" He then turned his attention back towards the clerk slash diving instructor. "Exactly as my friend said. There must be a reason these Skrelp gather here in abundance. If the town hasn't figured it out, we'd be glad to play detective." He said, scratching his chin with a smile.

  13. As Misu strutted around the clearing of the forest, she couldn't help but less loose an impressed whistle. She looked to the sky to see that the trees themselves seemed to reach into the clouds. Misu didn't use the word often, but if she had to describe the place, she'd say it was beautiful. She'd mostly lived in the city all her life, so this scenery was a nice change of pace. After a moment, one of her classmates approached her. “Nature is truly a wonderful gift to us all, is it not Yoshino-san? Hopefully we will be able to stop whatever is threatening it here.” "Yeah, I guess it's alright." She said, crossing her arms. "The trees are just lucky that we don't wanna chop 'em down is all. Dumb trees." She said, as she lightly tapped one with the tip of her shoe. As she looked around again, she noticed that all of the other students had broken off into their own little groups. Misu had hoped to gauge how tough Valerie was, but she instead was stuck with the only one left around. She looked to her classmate, and beamed a very threatening grin. "Katsurou, right? You got some guts tryin' to talk to me. And with everyone else headin' in, I guess that means you're stuck with me." She put a vice grip on his shoulder, before bending towards him. "Lucky you, eh?" She stood straight, while putting her hands in her pockets, trudging into the treeline. "Well, let's go track us down some good-for-nothin's." As they walked into the forest, Misu could see loads of tracks from all sorts of different animals upon the earth where there was no vegetation. She scrambled her head in frustration, as they all seemed to blend into incoherent paths and muddled into each other. "GAH! There's too many damn animals in this forest...I can't tell what tracks are what." Misu was no expert on what animals made what tracks, but she could tell that deer and raccoons passed through this part of the forest regularly. A rustling sound caught her attention, as she perked up in shock. "Y-y-yo! Katsurou...go check out some of those bushes..." It wasn't as if she was afraid or anything. As Yuudai and Valerie investigated the river, someone else approached from the shrubs on the other side of the bank. He was a dark haired man, who wore a mask that covered his mouth and eyes. The plating that covered his mouth slowly receded in an unnatural fashion, revealing a mouth with rather sharp teeth. "Hey, this isn't a good time for kids to be playing scouts. Haven't you heard the rumors about this place?" He walked closer to the bank, before gesturing behind him. "There's a monster in this forest...you should probably get going. I don't want to have to save to kiddies from some crazy villain, alright?" The man seemed frustrated that the kids were here, but his tone was sincere. As Diana and Suda ventured further into the treeline, a large rustling in some bushes might've caught their eye. From the bush, a lanky creature, and stared at the two for quite some time. The two student's heads would ache for a quick second, before they'd hear a small raspy voice. "You...you believe yourselves to heroes...yes?" The feelings of fear and dread soon flooded the two student's senses, to a certain degree. "Do not follow me..." Rang in their heads, as the creature darted off further into the trees, making sure to twist and turn as much as possible. As the thug was shoved into her direction, Ms. Hitotsume delivered a swift round hook kick towards the thug, sending him careening into Itsuki. The boy stood motionless as the unconscious thug lay on top of him. She lowered her classes, as if to give the boy a look of pity, before a half-assed "Whoops" left her lips. She looked at the other students who had dispatched the three thugs quite easily, before walking up to each unconscious one and placing handcuffs on them. "Great job everyone~." She applauded. "Except you two~!" She pointed to Yuuka and Itsuki. "If you hadn't beaten them, I'd be the one in handcuffs~." She said with a weird smile. "But these were just the small fry...I suspect they didn't even have quirks. They're working for someone else." A clapping started to echo from the alleyway where the original thugs had emerged. "Clan's not gonna like that one." A man with silver hair stated, as he continued to clap. "But it was a pretty nice show for me. You all seem pretty tough." He stopped clapping as he began to crack his knuckles. "That's how it is here in Dagobah's system. If you ain't strong here, you probably ain't gonna survive anywhere." Behind him, a bright and colorful girl hopped up and down. It was a surprise that she was even able to conceal herself in the shadows with her outfit. "AH! Little kids! You're all so cute!" She began to glow, as she continued to hop up and down. "I could eat you all up! But you're not our target today, so step aside would you?" She spoke, not looking at any of the students, but to Ms. Hitotsume. "Oh~? Do you have business with me?" Ms. Hitotsume said, pushing her glasses up her face. "Well I'm not really looking to fight today...but a real teacher needs to show her students a thing or two." She said, as she strode past all of her students. "What do you guys say? Does that sound fun to you~?" She coo'd back towards all of her students. Ms. Hitotsume's hand traced her entire body, as she brought her hand towards her glasses. Taking them off with style, she flung them straight into the air. She then ripped her clothing off, not to reveal her gym clothes, but to reveal her hero outfit. The long flowing duster dropped to the ground as it was finally let loose. An extra eye resided right above her belly button, as it blinked to the light it was now exposed to. "Finally things are getting interesting. I was starting to get hot underneath all that too~..." She said, as her glasses fell perfectly into her hands. The brightly colored girl seemed like she couldn't contain her excitement anymore, as she bounded towards the teacher with a burst of speed, nearly cratering the ground she stood on. The girl spun in the air, letting out a leg as she went to kick Ms. Hitotsume, only to kick the air in between the two. A strong breeze passed her, as Ms. Hitotsume landed a strong jab into the girls side. "Geez...get too careless and you might just die, Gypsy." He shrugged. "Her hero name isn't Demon Eyes for nothin' ya know." The man looked towards the kids, as he started walking in their direction. "While they're busy, why don't you guys see how you go up against a real thug?" He said, throwing up one arm in front of him, in a defensive pose. "I'll let you even get the first hit on me? How's about it?"
  14. "NPC... is that some sort of human evolution stage? Anyways, my master is one of the greatest warriors in the digital realm, the Legendary Royal Knight of the Wind!" The digimon stood tall and proud, obviously thinking that title carried a lot of weight, even if Todd had no idea who that was. "He's out in the town, looking for people... place seemed like a ghost town when we got here...," He sighed and rubbed his chin. "As for getting you outta here... well... it took me nearly an hour just digging for someone my size... if I take into account your height and the fact I would have to be much more careful as to make sure it doesn't cave in... that could take a few days. But hey, my master should totally come around in around an hour or two, and I know he can get us out!" "Well that's a relief..." Todd sighed. They wouldn't be stuck in here much longer, but something told him it wasn't going to be that simple. After all, if his master was outside, that meant that everything outside of the school must have been transformed too. "What a hassle I've found myself in." He said, tossing his hair. "Not like there's anything else for me to do." A sudden clatter caught Zubamon's attention. Without a word he dashed off, running on all fours as he turned around a corner, disappearing from sight. "HEY WHAT THE HELL! Get back here you freakin' rat!" Todd said, chasing after Zubamon with vigor. After a brief chase, it looked that Zubamon had cornered a large bunny like creature. It looked strangely similar to the one who had vandalized all the library books. "Alright, Toddmon, this Lopmon doesn't seem dangerous! I don't think anyways!" "Of course it doesn't look dangerous." Todd started laughing. "It looks like a freakin' stuffed animal!" "Who you callin' a stuffed animal, ya tall freakazoid!" The bunny opened it's mouth, and shot a small ball of blue energy towards Todd. With a critical roll, Todd was able to duck for cover at the last second, as the ball shattered the wall behind him. "The name's Pix! And I'm the toughest digimon on this floor!" Pix eyed Zubamon, rattling their fist in the air. "Well I haven't seen your ugly mug around here, so I guess we gotta fight to settle the score!" Todd got in between the two in a hurry. "Whoa there, just take it easy Pix!" His posture slouched, as he looked at the three horned creature. A smile crept across his face. "You know, you're pretty tough despite your looks. How's about tagging along with us. We could sure use some help from the strongest 'Digimon' on this floor." He stuck out his hand, as Pix stroked their chin. "Hm. You make a good point human." Pix placed a claw in Todd's hands as they shook up and down. "You got yourself a deal." "It's Todd, by the way." He turned to Zubamon. "That goes for you too, Zuba. Don't go callin me Toddmon...I ain't no freakin' digimon!"
  15. Team Showdown - Oasis "Calm down calm down. I'm moving as fast as I can do you want me to break my leg?" She looked up at Taiga and squinted. "Who are you? Do I know you? Did you come here for some pie? I'm busy right now young lady so just sit down and wait a spell. Quietly, if you would, I could hear your shouting all the way upstairs." Taiga grinned at the old lady. "What? You don't remember the squad that saved Oasis? Your brain leavin' you in the dust Old Lady Vibrava? Fufufufu!" She laughed, putting her fists on her hips. "I guess it has been some time since we left town. That fight we got into after Volcanion kicked the bucket really caused a stir. Seemed like it was so long ago. We even lost a couple of crew members, but we gained this stubborn icy chick. Ain't she cute?" Taiga shook her head as she reminisced. "Honestly, I thought you would've kicked the bucket by now." Then she remembered. "Hey, thanks for sending that pie with us to Fryst...it kinda helped, but I got us into trouble anyway. Fufufu." She shrugged, before sitting down at one of the tables. Her face grew serious, as her finger dug into the top. "Honestly, I'm not here cause I was feelin' nostalgic. I'm on a mission to chase down Landorus. I figured you'd know where to look for 'em...seein' as you're so old an stuff."
  16. "Well we don't have much funding to really research that kind of thing. Specially with the League how it is these days. This may take more time but it's a lot cheaper than moving a whole mess of food. But if you really want to check it out you can go rent out some diving suits in the city. Just gotta wait a bit while we clear all this up first." Oswald was shocked that the place had such equipment. Sure it was a run of the mill city, but to have scuba equipment for a port town was something else. "I dun wanna swim. Too much...water. Too much movin'. Do we hafta?" "You don't have to. I want to see what's down there though. And maybe catch one of the little guys for myself. What about you?" she asked Oswald. "Ever been diving before?" "Can't say that I have." Oswald said, stroking his chin. "The waters of Johto aren't as tropical as these parts, so diving is extremely rare, unlike Hoenn's deeper waters." Not to mention the risk of whirlpools in Johto. "I say we find some scuba gear for ourselves, and some floaties for Naomi." Oswald nodded. "That's the plan then!" Oswald started heading for the city, waiting for his partners to catch up with him. "Let's go find that store." It wasn't much time travelling deeper into the busy city that they found the shop that had a myriad of beach day equipment. Umbrellas, beach towels, and surfboards. Oswald perused the fishing rods a bit, before travelling to the desk. "Excuse me, we're looking to rent some scuba gear...and some rubber floaties. Do you have any in stock?"
  17. Team Showdown - Sky Temple/Oasis The next morning came by quick, as she was able to fall asleep pretty easily after that soak in the tub. Although, she was still groggy from how heavy and deep her sleep was. They met in the throne room, where Rayquaza greeted them. He seemed anxious. "You're here. I assume that means you're ready to go, right? Remember, you just need to get Landorus to join us, and make sure he won't just change his mind like normal. If all goes well you won't even have to fight this time. If you have any questions now's the time." "No questions here - lets get this done as soon as possible." "Zilch. Zero. No questions." She yawned, stretching her arms. In a mere matter of milliseconds, they were whisked away by that gust of wind again, and plopped down on a familiar feeling. Taiga scooped the stuff underneath her butt, and let the small particles fall between her fingers. Sand. She looked around her, as they were surrounded by another nostalgic sight, a sea of camels. She smiled, as she got to her feet, dusting the residue sand off of her clothes. "Well, we're here..." "Back to square one, huh?" Taiga snorted. They needed a lead to find Landorus now, and she had the perfect Gijinka to snoop around. "Follow me." Taiga said, as they walked out of the camels, and towards Oasis proper. She walked into that Inn they had walked into for their first reward as chasers, as she could see all the damage she caused had been repaired by now. Regardless if there were patrons or not, Taiga hollered. "Helloooooo?! Old Lady Vibrava! You still here? Or did you kick the frickin' bucket yet?!"
  18. After an incredible display of her Quirk, Misu was taken aback by one of the next students, Herc. He had managed to recreate her devastating blow, but to a more explosive extent, almost knocking the entire machine off of it's feet and into oblivion. So there were others here to be wary of in terms of raw strength. Misu's muscles tensed up at the mere thought of having a bout with the Beetle kid. If only he weren't such a freakin' spaz. After everyone had ran the three part course, Ms. Hitotsume walked in front of all the students, with her hands clapping together. "Incredible, everyone~! What a fantastic range of quirks you all have~!" She stopped clapping, as she lowered her glasses to scan the students. "But as you can see, their are areas each of you need to improve upon! Whether that be sharpening your reflexes, improving your raw capabilities, or even figuring out how to make up for lacks in your quirks~!" She flexed her own arm, as a large heap of muscle bulged from the fabric of her outfit. "As heroes, we cannot rely on quirk alone! Your entire body is a weapon, and it needs to be sharpened like one!" It made sense to Misu, but she was sorely lacking in the reflex department. After all, that flunkee Kess was able to get the drop on her. "Now, class is dismissed for the day~! Use the rest of the day to prepare for the Hero Training next week~!" As Ms. Hitotsume left, Misu walked up to Herc, poking at him quite forcefully. "You're strong, huh?" She said, as she kept poking. "I like that. You'll make a great gangster. Stay out of my way and we'll get along just fine." She said, as steam began to rise off her shoulders. As she began to walk away, she turned around and waved to Hibiki. "Hey! I'll see you this weekend! Don't forget, or I'll send you flyin', 'kay?" She smiled, as she walked away, giving Valerie quite the smug grin as she walked past. Now she couldn't wait for Monday. That Monday The students were gathered in the classroom for attendance, before being directed outside where two buses waited for them. Due to unforeseen family circumstances, Lesnar was pulled out of the class, and Kess had been expelled. Waiting for them outside was a tall, firm-standing, purple-haired man with a clipboard in his hands. He wore a dress shirt, with suspenders and a tie, as he let out a deep huff. Ms. Hitotsume rallied to his side, as he bowed before the students, his dress shirt almost ripping at the seams. With a smile, Ms. Hitotsume gestured towards him. "This is Mr. Hiwari. He's not a teacher, but he will be a chaperon for today's excursion. Please be respectful of him, even though he's not a teacher." Ms. Hitotsume stepped aside, as Mr. Hiwari raised himself. "You can go ahead and call me Spring Lock. That's my hero name. My old man here is the Principal, so I've got high hopes for what his pupils are capable of." He took his clipboard and smacked it with the back side of his hand, the cracking noise making Misu flinch a tad. "Today you will be splitting into two teams. Team 1 will consist of the following: Suda Hiroharu, Katsurou Yamauchi, Diana Seigi, Valerie Clark, Misu Yoshino, and Yuudai Shiba." Ms. Hitotsume then scanned the clipboard and smiled. "That means the rest of you are headed with me! Let's have a good, safe session today~!" She said, pumping her fist into the air. The left bus was loaded onto with Spring Lock's student's while the other was loaded with Ms. Hitotsume and the rest. The two buses parted ways, as they headed in opposite directions from one another. After enough time had passed, the students with Mr. Hiwari would see that the scenery had changed from a cityscape to a more natural surrounding. Trees erected themselves higher than one could see. "This is Ewok Forrest. It's a national state park, untouched by civilization. However, we've heard reports from park rangers about a strange presence within the forest. We might be dealing with squatters, but let's see what we can scrounge up." As they unloaded off of the bus, the were met with the serene sounds of nature. The sound of rushing water could be heard nearby, while the birds harmonized in the air above. Misu had never experienced nature in this way before, prompting her to look all around to gather everything in. Spring Lock went to a park ranger to talk, whilst the others were left to walk around. "Don't walk out too far now! We don't know if what we're lookin' for is out here!" "We're here~!!" Ms. Hitotsume sang out to the students. "Now get off the damn bus." She groaned, as she departed from the vehicle herself. They were met with a pretty run down city, where windows were boarded up with metal sheets and planks of wood. "This is Dagoba District. There's been a recent rise in gang activity, so we're gonna take out some trash." She spat on the sidewalk, as she carefully looked down each alleyway. During an inspection of one alleyway, however, a gunshot rattled off, and Ms. Hitotsume sprang her head back with a smirk. The bullet ricocheted off of a metal plate, and flew off into the sun. Three hoodlums, decked out in tank tops and baggie shorts, sported three different kinds of weapons. One had a chain, another had a gun, and one had two knives spinning in his hand. "Hey, you might wanna scram. This town ain't made for kiddies." The one man gave Ms. Hitotsume a creepy smile, and licked his lips. "But we'd be glad to give a hottie like yourself the tour of the town." Ms. Hitotsume's brow twitched, before looking down on the three. "Scumbags..." She sighed, before turning back to the students. "Beat these guys up before I kill them, please~."
  19. As Todd shrank back from the wall, a feeling of a missed opportunity started to wash over him. However, just as soon as the knife had buried away, the noise from before picked up with a vengeance. It sounded as if a large drill was digging through all the stone and vine to make it's way through. Todd jumped back, as a creature lathered in gold armor, presented itself before him. He had heard of all the creatures suddenly appearing around here, but he hadn't laid eyes on them himself. He blinked as the creature began to talk. "There no need to fear! I, Zubamon, am here to help all of you! Wait, are you a... hoomin?" It asked, dropping the pose. Todd shook his head up in down with a dumbfounded look on his face. "Wow, you're the first hoomin I've ever met! I should get my master, he's been looking for hoomins! So, um... what's your name, hoomin?" After a moment, he actually decided to speak. "Todd. My name's Todd." No last name...not yet. "And you're Zubamon? What the hell..." He said, with a hand covering his face. "This can't be real...you look like some really important npc." Todd stomped the ground with a heel, digging it in. "Who's your master?! Where are they?! Where are we!?" He pointed back to the caved in wall. "Can you get us out of here?!"
  20. "Well you see these buggers love this area. Guess their food is plentiful or somethin. I don't really know. Either way they start to gather and it can make it hard for the ships to come in. Dangerous even. So we gather em up and dump em off farther away." Oswald rubbed his chin, nodding his head. "I see, I see. Well I can always take one off your hands! It'd be no trouble whatsoever!" He added. After all, if he took one Skrelp, maybe more people would be inclined to do so to reduce the population, and in turn, lower the hazards for docking ships. "For a good cause, I can assure you." "Has anyone looked down there for why there's so many Skrelp? If it really is a food thing, it could probably be moved to a safer spot with a bit of work." Oswald was surprised that he hadn't thought up the idea himself. An interesting investigation had been added to the docket. She'd make a good assistant! "Excellent questioning Kanon!" He whispered with a smile. He then turned to the operator of the net lift. It was time for him to do his own investigation. "I'd like to second that question. Is it perhaps a toxin in the water? Some corporation's runoff, that the skrelp are feeding off of? We'd be happy to take a look."
  21. Team Showdown - Sky Palace "I don't sleep much anyway." Isole said, her eyes dulling from the rage prior. "Do we really need to talk? Or do you just want to?" She looked away from Taiga, and grabbed her arm awkwardly. "Hurry up. I want to...not be here...for too long." "Eh?! Well of course I wanna talk. Don't you want to talk?! We're kinda getting to the meat and potatoes of this whole situation now!" Taiga cocked her head, and scratched the back of it. "Aren't you worried at all? Ain't ya' scared?" The gijinka took a while to respond "Maybe. But it's going to happen if I'm worried or not." Taiga sighed. "Well...I'm worried for you, alright." Taiga crossed her arms. "Maybe you should sit these last couple a' missions out..." "And what's the point of that? If it's hard enough that I'd get hurt then you'll need all the help you can get." "This ain't about if it's gonna be hard or not!" Taiga growled. "This is about who lives, and who dies now!" Taiga frazzled her hair in frustration. Talking to this girl was like talking to an iceberg. "What I'm sayin' is...you got sisters out there still. You got family. You don't have to die doin' somethin' you were forced into..." Isole blinked silently. Her eyes looking somewhat blankly at Taiga. "No one is making me go." She muttered. "Then why are you doing this, huh Ice? You've been put through so much since you left the Showdown...do you wanna die?!" "I just...have to do...something." "Is that what this is to you, then? Just somethin'?!" Taiga got up in Isole's face. "Tell me that this is what you want to do, Isole! Or I'll ground you!" Small sparks began to sprout from the gijinka. "If I don't do this I might as well be doing nothing." Taiga's bore her fangs at the girl, before her lips quivered back into place. This girl was truly hopeless. "I'd rather you do nothin' thann have you die and it bein' my fault." "If I do it's no one's fault but mine. If I don't go and something goes wrong what are you going to do then? Have you told Scarlet this too?" "You and I both know Scarlet ain't gonna listen to a word I say...she's all about bein' a guardian or whatever. She signed up for this, along with me." Taiga shook her head at the young Gijinka. "But you got dragged into all of this...I imagine this isn't what you were hopin' for once you stepped off that ship." "I wasn't hoping for anything. I don't hope for anything." She gestured around. "I just thought I should do something other than sit around." Taiga's lips quivered some more before she burst out into laughter. "That's so sad!" When she stopped, she looked to Isole. "Is there nothing you can say that you honestly want?" "I don't know what I want." She said, sounding more annoyed. "I don't do anything. I exist. That's it." She looked away. "Is that all or do you want to get mad again?" Taiga shook her head. "Nah I ain't gonna get mad...If you're so set on it, then I guess I can't change your mind." Taiga leaned in and gave the small Gijinka a hug. "But you gotta learn that there's more to life than just existing. I had to find that out by meeting all of you." She pushed Isole away and winked. "Also, don't go doin' nothin' stupid. Save all of that for me! Fufufufu!" She started to head up the steps towards their bedroom, before waving. "I guess I'll head to bed then...I'll catch ya' later." As she walked up the stairs, she couldn't help but relive the stare that Isole had punctured her with when she had first turned around. Why was the look so filled with so much hate?
  22. Of course that Valerie chick was the first one to tackle the course. The girl was too peppy, upbeat, and sporty to not even think about going first. It made Misu sick. Misu sat back, in her gym attire, her jacket zipped down halfway in an attempt to disrupt the dress code in any way she could. She had barely been paying attention to most of the class' attempts, mainly only taking a second to gauge what their quirks could do. They were all a pretty capable bunch for the most part, but they didn't stand a ghost of a chance against her. If only she cared about all of this. She sighed, tipping her hat down. "Good grief." Diana was the last one to go, giving a solid run at the courses, but ultimately falling above average. She slapped Yuuka on the back, giving them some encouragement. "Go get 'em!" The girl sang. However, Misu stepped up through the crowd. "As if. It's my turn now." Looking back at Yuuka, she gave him a sharp glare. "Any complaints?" She walked off before waving him off. "Send 'em to my house. Ask for the 'yasnoozeyalose' residence." With her hands in her pockets, she strode up to the punching bag. She often found herself at the Arcade when she skipped school before all this hero crap, but she was banned from using this kind of machine. However, it didn't look exactly like the real deal. "So you're tellin' me I can go all out on this thing? It ain't gonna break, is it?" She asked, looking to Ms. Hitotsume. "Go ahead and try, if you can~!" The teacher said, her mouth forming an O-shape with anticipation. "Well don't foot the bill to me if it ends up happenin'." Misu groaned. She cocked her fist back, taking a deep breath. She hadn't let loose in some time. "Time to let off some steam, then." With the bag in front of her, she envisioned that Kess' girl's face smack dab in the center. With just that image, her arm swelled up, as vapor seemed to arise from every pour in Misu's arm. Her veins started to grow visibly, as a slight hissing could be heard throughout the air. Misu took a step forward, twisting her hips, and smacked the bag with a mean right arm. She winced, as her fist made contact with the bag, as a small boom could be heard reverberating between the two. Once the bag stopped swaying, the score that read was higher than any score prior. She looked back to Val with a raised eyebrow. Steam was let out from her mouth as she talked. "With some leftover in the tank." Next was the obstacle course. She tapped the starting line with her toes, looking at the warped sloping wall in front of her. This wasn't as much a test of speed as it was stamina. However, Misu bolstered most of her bodies muscles with steam, as it was clearly visible rising from her skin. She dashed off with a strong first step, clearing the wall in no time. However, the next obstacle proved to be more difficult. When she went to stick to the walls after the launch pad, the sweat that had aggregated in her hands made her slip and fall to the ground. With a grunt, she went back to the trampoline, and wiped her hands off on her shirt. With a little more effort, she made it over the obstacle in no time. The parts that made her test her muscle, and grip strength were no problem to glide through. However, the ones that required balance required more time on her end. After all was said and done, her time was stacked in the middle of the students. She shrugged, as she continued towards the targets. She stared them down for a while, her eyebrow twitching in frustration the whole time. "It's okay if you can't do this part, you know~? We're all better at some things than other's~!". Misu spat on the ground, as she placed her hands close together. She stuck them out, as she concentrated. The steam from her hands started to rise, and at the boiling point, Misu let loose! However, the only results were two hand shaped puffs of mist that shot out from her hands. With another shrug she left the range. She rolled her shoulder a bit and sighed. "What a drag this was." She looked at the rest that hadn't done the tests, before rattling a fist. "Well?! Come on, I ain't got all day! You wanna get sent flyin'!?"
