  1. "I'd better get to my class before it starts. Make sure you aren't late for yours either! And I'll still help you find that umbrella thief after school if you want. See you later!" Juryo watched as the girl put on her shoes, and left for class. He sighed, as he rubbed the back of his neck. What kind of first impression was that? He didn't necessarily find the girl annoying, so why did he snap at her? Maybe this school would help him out after all. And hopefully, the girl would be in the same class as him. Her quirk seemed cool enough. A sly smile traced his lips at the thought of his terrible joke. The bell was going to ring any minute now, and Juryo was finally starting to hear more voices from beyond the gate. The commotion was starting to give him a headache, so he retreated farther into the school. The sight of any red color was enough to make him jump out of his skin at this point, so he made it a point to steer clear from any other demon chicks that might have given him a beating. The school was small, so avoiding the girl would be almost impossible. If it came down to it, he'd have to throw down with her for real. No blindsiding, no sneak attacks, just bare knuckle brawling! "YEAH!" Juryo psyched himself up. "I'll wallop her real good next time! I'll lose every ounce of my street cred if I get knocked out again! No one can beat Libraty!" "Pffffffttttt!" A subtle laugh could be heard from behind him, as he turned around in horror. "Libraty?! Are you joking?!" The girl was holding a soda can in one hand, and her stomach in the other. She had sprayed some of the fizz onto the ground in her fit of laughter. "What kind of a name is that?! There's no way you'd run around calling yourself that for real, right?!" Miyu's eyes started to tear up, as she almost couldn't help but let the laughs out. "Y-y-you got a problem with that hero name, you brat?!" The girl's eyes turned deathly serious in almost an instant. "Brat?" Was the next word she uttered, a complete one-eighty from the laughing mess she had just been prior. "Who are you calling a brat?" She eyed the boy up and down, noticing that it was the same boy she had run into twice before. His eyes were full of anxiety, as she let a flaming chain fall out of her hand. It thudded onto the floor with force. Miyu licked her lips, as she watched the boy shiver. "Well? Weren't you gonna wallop me, Libraty?" The boy recoiled as he saw the chains once more. His eyes screamed that he wanted to run away, but he still stood against her. He raised his hands up, not in an admittance of defeat, but in a pathetic attempt at a fighting stance. "Let's go...fair and square this time..." The boy almost fell over all of his words. Miyu couldn't help but label the pathetic scene as kind of brave. "But I like fighting dirty..." Miyu pushed her bottom lip into itself, as her horns began to light on fire. "Now look what you've gone and done...I'm all hot and bothered now..." Miyu's finger that lay on her lip traced itself all the way down her neck and to her collarbone. "You'll take responsibility, won't you." The boy looked away from her in a fit of embarrassment. As soon as his eye contact left her, she threw her arm in the air, and along with it, her chain. The sound of metal whistling through the air was stopped almost in an instant by a taller man with silver hair. He stood in the space between him, grabbing onto the lit chain with his bare hands. "There's to be no fighting, or quirk use, on school property...unless instructed otherwise." The man coldly said. "It's almost time for class, so I'll give you a warning this time, Ms. Hioni." The man dropped the chain, which quickly retracted back into Miyu's hand, slurping it up like someone would noodles. Her horns, in turn, turned down the heat. She stuck out her cheek, pouting at the man. "Fine. But tell this guy to stop being a creep! He's been stalking me all day!" The man raised an eyebrow at the boy. "Is this true?" The boy put up his hands again, this time in a show of innocence. "This crazy chick stole my umbrella this morning! I just wanted it back!" The man raised both eyebrows, and turned his head again. "Is this tru-" He would've finished his sentence, but he was talking to thin air. The girl had already gone. The man sighed and turned to the boy one last time. "Get to class. We'll resolve the issue later." Both defeated, they trudged towards one of the lonely classrooms together. Meanwhile, Miyu snickered as she saw them from beyond the corner. Before class started she wanted to get a good look at the rest of the students here. She hurried towards the front gates, which displayed most of the teens there. They looked like your average bunch of chumps and delinquents, although one girl stood out among the rest to her. A girl with Pink hair, conversing with a girl with longer horns than her. Staring at the two were a couple of boys. Miyu walked up to the scene, smiling and waving. "Hi everyone! My name's Hioni Miyu, but you all can just call me Miyu! Let's all be good friends!" Miyu's pleasant gaze was sparsely sprinkled in with some sharp glances at the shyer girl. "Why don't we all walk to class together!"
  2. OOC It was a rainy day, a bad start to the new school year. A man with long, silver hair walked up the concrete steps in a suit, an umbrella in one hand, and a briefcase in the other. He looked at the rather quaint building, although there really wasn't much to see. It was small, and was already showing signs of wear. Hadn't this place just been built for this class? He sighed, as he continued towards the door, opening it to find a small rack of shoe holders. Passing it, and placing his umbrella in a holder, he entered a hallway to the right. As he passed by, he noticed a set of bathrooms, a small courtroom with a large sakura tree in the middle, and the cafeteria. All of them paled in comparison to most schools, especially a school like U.A. The Classrooms were even more pathetic, as no more than 12 chairs adorned the room. There was another spare classroom, but inside was ghostly empty. "The bare necessities huh?" He said, as he tightened the tie around his neck. He looked at his desk, tracing his finger across the smooth wooden surface. To his surprise, there wasn't a smudge of dirt. "They should be arriving any moment now, huh?" He looked at his watch, and then towards a piece of paper he'd pulled from his briefcase. On it were all the names of his new students, their quirks, and their circumstances. "What have I gotten myself into this time." He exited the room, leaving his briefcase, but taking the paper. He traced the other end of the hallway, peering out the window and into the small dorm that accompanied the school. Girls would live on the top floor, and the boys on the bottom. On the left side of the entrance was the faculty room, where he slid the door open. His demeanor soured immediately. "You shouldn't be here." He almost growled. Miyu finally got to wear her new school uniform, and it was raining!? It was way too cold to show off anything that she'd want to! To make matters worse, she had to beg some boy here on the way for an umbrella. He gladly gave it to her, and tried to ask for her number. However, she bolted before she could utter a single digit. Her soggy piece of paper with the school's address on it was barely legible at this point, but the search result on maps came up with the right place. When she made it to the steps of the school, she felt something fall in her stomach. She was almost dumbfounded with how small the school was. How many kids were planning on joining this thing? How many went to jail? So many questions were boggling her brain that she had to make a couple of double takes to make sure she was in the right spot. "Hairo Academy...hmmmm...that's what it says there...but...for real?" She started to crumble to the ground, her knees bumping together before she could touch the soaking wet cement beneath her. Her legs quivered as she began to tear up. "My first year of high school, and it's already ruined!" She placed her back against a brick column that housed the gate, striking a dramatic pose as the crocodile tears rolled down her cheek. "HEY! YOU DAMNED BRAT!" Miyu stopped her sobbing to look over at the boy from earlier. He was soaking wet, and wore the same symbol on his uniform as her. She noticed that his face was bruised on the cheek. It was the one from earlier who so willingly gave her his umbrell-, "I'm gonna beat the hell out of you, you freakin' demon!" As he made his approach, the girl wore a passive look. She fired a chain from her palm towards the boy's forehead, crafting weighted tip at the end. It hit it's mark, making an audible thunk as it cracked against his skull. Miyu stared at his lifeless body for a moment, before sticking her tongue at him. "Well it seems I know why you're here. Assaulting poor, defenseless schoolgirls on their way to get an education? How low can you get?" Miyu turned on her heel, as she continued towards the school. moments ago... Juryo felt too tight in these clothes. It was only the first day of 'school' and he was already irritated with how they were going about things. His neck was tight, and the grip on his umbrella was even tighter. The rain was coming down like bullets. The perfect beginning to his career as a hero. "Yeah right. Hero my ass. I'm a slave now." He sighed, as he continued his trek. He was still a good ten minutes away, with the bell about to ring in twelve. He'd skipped out on dinner to make sure he wasn't late. It was part of the rules that he'd have a good attendance record while taking part in Hairo Academics, or else he'd be put in the slammer anyways. Shaking his head, he kept his pace. "Excuse me!" An incredibly red-painted girl with horns approached him from underneath the awning of a convenience store. Her shirt was unbuttoned to the point where you could clearly see the girls bra. Not that it helped that the girl had already been rained on for a little bit, the lacey fabric of her undergarment visible through the wet bits of her school shirt. He looked again, missing her cleavage and noticing she was a student of the same Hairo Academy. "May I borrow your Umbrella? I was on the way to school and it started to pour from out of nowhere!" "I have some room under here. It seems we're headed to the same pla-" A small rattle of chains echoed in the street. When he turned to see where they were coming from, he found nothing. When he turned his head back, he could feel the cold hard embrace of steel as it blindsided him across the face. Reeling in shock from the attack, he could only meet the faint glimpse of the girl catching his umbrella in mid air, waving back to him as he lost consciousness. What a great way to start the day.
  3. Usaphaidos watched as those who stayed in the chamber seemed to worry about their newfound freedoms. Usaphaidos could not judge them, this was a whole new experience. Vorpu the Ascendant was the first to get a party together to survey the outside world. The Kobold people he protected in his domain were the most hardworking bunch, so it stood to reason that the dragon amongst them would be the first to take action above all others. "A wonderful idea Vorpu. May the Abyss protect you from the light." He commended his warrior. "I have a question, yer majesty." The Pharaoh's canide ears perked up beneath his helmet. "Nassor Khnurn, Scourge of the Graysins." He knew the name of this mercenary well. Any mortal that could stand before Usaphaidos was worthy of recognition. "Now I understand what this little mission ya presented us Floor Guardians with and that's all fine and dandy. But I reckon there's a specific way ya want us to conduct ourselves. I have no doubt that ya wouldn't mind if yer posse of Floor Guardians go in guns-a-blazin' to find answers fer this...but I'd prefer to get any specifics out the way early on. Now, would ya prefer us to use force right out the gate or would ya prefer us to be discrete and use force when the situation calls for it." The thought of opposition never really crossed his mind. They were foreign to these lands, so provoking the natives would not be a good idea for the time being. "An excellent question, Nassor." He placed a finger in the space between them. "For now, we are not to engage any sentient being in this new realm. We are to gather as much information as possible." He placed a hand on his head, retreating the other. "Although, if it must come to self-preservation, I demand that you deal with any incoming threat swiftly and without mercy." His hands spread out to each side. "After all, we do not know if we can still come back from the dead the same way we did before. Even though I'm a god of death, Resurrection is not something that can be done so easily. Unless you'd like to become a mummy!" Usaphaidos laughed. The mummy at his side did the same, albeit slower and more forced. "I shall remain here for the time. But worry not, I shall watch over all of your endeavors." The Pharaoh turned away, and gave the mercenary a wave. As he came back towards his throne, thoughts were racing through his mind. "Leading in real time is quite the task...Am I any good at this?" As Usaphaidos walked away from Nassor, Jacques began to approach him. "What a lame ass." The adolescent grim reaper groaned. "Can't we just start the assault now? Who cares if mortals find out we're here? We'll just wipe them out like we always have." He put his arm around Nassor's neck. "Say, how's about we scout together, Nassor? And by scout, I mean reap a few souls!" The grin that traced Jacques mouth was rather intense. Meanwhile, a small blot of shadows seemed to inch it's way towards Vorpu, Caleb, and Asiya. Merging from the floor, it morphed into some adorable creature, clad in bones. It looked at Vorpu with awe. "Are you guys actually going outside!?" It croaked in a low tone. "I'm coming with! I've never been outside!"
  4. "Are you kidding me? You're the best fight I've had in over 3000 thousands years! Damn straight I'm going to keep going!" Lancer had a wide smile on her face, as her body dropped towards the ground. She swung her staff in a fashion that aimed for his feet. "Don't disappoint me now, sword boy!" Saber merely raised an eyebrow, as he jumped into the air. "An attack like that won't work on me, chica." He winked. "After all, you've already swept me off my feet. You can't do so easily once again." Saber landed in front of Lancer's staff's point, digging his sword into the ground. He took a peek over at his master, whose opponent's arm seemed to be in worse for wear. However, the blade she wielded looked like her trump card. He grabbed the hilt of his sword with a reverse grip, swinging up and letting loose a wave of debris in Lancer's face. A strange look twisted itself on Saber's face, as if he lost grip with his sanity for a moment, only for it to go back to it's usual tepid state. He dashed in behind the wave of dirt, looking to slash Lancer straight through the stomach. "It seems your master wishes to end this game, so I'm afraid I must do the same."
  5. He waited rather diligently for his guardians to arrive. Compared to the time he had spent just sitting here, waiting to engage a wandering band of adventurers, it was a rather relaxing time. Before, he wasn't even thinking on his own, but now he could finally note all the decor that was thrown around his chamber. It was empty, black marble statues and rocks were haphazardly placed along the borders, with a large open area in front of his throne where he would commence the fight. He lifted his head at the slight creak of his gargantuan chamber doors, as the mummy shambled his way back to his birthplace. Behind him was a huge crowd of his followers, those who he was seen as a master. The flooded into his chamber like a liquid plague. He couldn't help but smile under his helmet. For so long, he had just memories of their names. He'd never seen these various guardians before with his own eyes, but he knew their faces instantly. A few of his exemplary subjects stood in the front. Tethenor the Shadow Dragon, Nassor Khurn the Gunslinger, Caleb the Fun Guy, Asiya the Princess of an extinct people, and Vorpu the Ascendant. He could tell just by the looks on their faces that they had come to the same awakening as him. He would have to make his speech proper, this was the first time he had addressed his people directly. "MY LOYAL FOLLOWERS!" His voice boomed throughout the chamber. The upper level guardians were almost flattened by the pressure of his voice alone. "It would seem that introductions are in order, as this is the first time I have lain eyes on all of you." Usaphaidos bowed to the crowd, with whispers of shock and surprise starting to swirl among them. The Mummy beside Usaphaidos made a stern, but lazy, moan. "My name is Anu Soraki, Lord of this domain. Although, most of you only know me by my name, given to me during rebirth." The Abyssal Pharaoh raised himelf, and thrust his hand forward. "USAPHAIDOS! ABYSSAL PHARAOH, AND GOD OF DEATH!" Another mighty wave of words washed over his guardians. His speech alone was able to push back even his mightiest guardians. With his introduction over, he lowered his hand, and calmed himself. "For some reason, unbeknownst to even me, we have undergone another rebirth. We are free of our previous shackles." He proceeded to sit down in his chair. "This means, of course, that you are all allowed to do as you wish. You may not wish to serve me any more, and if that is the case, I can't stop you from leaving this place. However, be forewarned that I will not hold back against you, should you find yourself siding with an enemy." He shrugged. "Not that I know if there even is an enemy." Without much hesitation, a minute amount of creatures walked out of the chamber. Usaphaidos nodded his head in understanding. "With all this stated, please be aware that my motivations are the same. I will cull the living, so that I may resurrect my people. And keep in mind that any and all requests that you had upon joining me will be honored. I hold these promises dear, and hope that I may still keep them, regarding our current circumstances." "So you ain't even got an idea of where we even are, huh, Mr. Pharaoh?" A voice angrily questioned. A crowd around the voice dispersed immediately, revealing a man wielding a rather large scythe. Upon seeing him, Usaphaidos' mind was flooded with the name Jacques De'ville. The boy was a Grim Reaper in training, but still quite powerful. The man frizzled his hair with his off hand. "I don't know why, but I'm supposed to be able to communicate with my REAL master, THE grim reaper. But ever since I 'woke up', like for real, I can't get in touch with that pile of bones." His tone was disrespectful...his internship at the Abyssal Pyramid was a forced one after all. "That can only mean one a' two things. Either we ain't in Kansas anymore, or the old geezer's dead." He pointed to his scythe. "And since this bad boy ain't the real deal, I'm gonna go with thing numero uno." Usaphaidos perked up, and clapped his hands a singular time. "Ah! Brilliant deduction, Jacques!" The praise made the man blush, but he still wore a scowl. "WHAT THE HELL! AIN'T THAT BAD?!" "No. Just the opposite. If you aren't in touch with the Grim Reaper, but have also not been promoted, that means we have been transported to a brand new world. This is our first step towards understanding our current circumstance." Usaphaidos leaned in, his fingers mixing in between each other. "We have much to learn, about this place. And that is my mission I give to you Floor Guardians." He stood from his seat once more, and clacked his staff against the ground. "Your first order from Usaphaidos: Determine where we have found ourselves!" He proceeded to walk down the stairs leading up to his throne, mixing in with the crowd. "You are all dismissed for now. You may ask me anything you desire, if you wish. But, let us make haste."

  8. It was all too quick. Something in Usaphaidos' mind had finally connected together, something never there before. Before, he simply was being commanded by a series of numbers and letters, only responding 'yes' and 'no'. Now, those voices had all but suddenly disappeared. Without a command, Usaphaidos took a look down at his own hands, his vision almost clearer than before. By his own will, he stretched his fingers out, and then clenched his fists. He could feel all the muscles bend and contort with each other to convey the movement, a brand new feeling that almost made him jump! Was he scared?! Scared of himself?! "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" The raid master bellowed in his chamber, where he sat upon a obsidian rock carved in the form of a chair. Two giant obelisks, carved of the same rock, stood beside him, adorned with many hieroglyphs depicting his own history, and that of the Abyssal Pyramid. The chamber shook, as Usaphaidos' laughs echoed throughout the dungeon. "A god of death, afraid of himself? I don't remember making jokes in my time here." Humor. He knew of it, but had merely stuck to a script up until this point. Always blathering about the same things, always shouting the same lines. But no more. He would write the script himself from here on out. Although the numbers that ran through his mind had stopped in their tracks, he still had all of his memories of the time where he was servile to them. He knew who he still was, and where he had come from, but why had it all changed so suddenly? Did someone cast a high level spell on him? "A spell?" He calmly placed a hand in front of him. "Summon: Low Level Mummy." A set of phantasmal purple rings shot up his arm, twisting and turning. It wasn't like the effects back then, but the result was the same. A larger purple circle appeared on the floor in front of him, as a wooden sarcophagus emerged from the floor. The door slid to the side, and a mummy, poorly wrapped and shriveled, emerged from the sarcophagus with a moan. It knelt before him, without so much as a second thought. It too, seemed to quiver in his presence. "There is no need for fear. I, Usaphaidos, have created you for a new purpose." The mummy's neck creaked, as it's deep, empty eyes stared at Usaphaidos. "Go, and seek out the nearest guardians of the Dungeon. Gather them here before me. There is much to be discussed." With a groan, and another bow of it's head, the mummy turned around and made it's way out of the main chamber, groaning in a way that made him sound more lively and excited. Usaphaidos watched as he sluggishly left, prompting the thought that maybe he should've summoned a faster walking undead. It was no matter, this was more amusing. "Much to discuss, indeed." He said, rather pleased with his circumstances.
  9. Happy Birthday NCM! My Neo Year's Resolution is to try and get around the site a bit more. I'll probably never touch the actual card maker, but I could stand to put myself out there more. After all, I do love this community since I was a YCM member 8 years ago. Here's to another good one NCM!
  10. Team Showdown - Temple of Time and Space "To those who have passed our trial we give you a chance to rewrite yourselves. Even in a small amount. Techniques thought forgotten, or abandoned, may come back to you in this place." "Rewrite myself, huh?" She pondered, tapping her foot on the floor. She wondered if there was any way to learn that one technique that Tyrantrum had used on her, the one where she basically gave up on life. Somehow, the space around her seemed to say it was possible. That's when she shook her head. "I wanna learn how to do that! Giga Impact!" Just as soon as the words left her mouth, she could feel the venom from her teeth fade away, and she could feel the power surge within her. Her fists tightened, as she gave the two a wide grin. "Swell! I can't wait to knock someone around with that attack! It was wild!" "Is there anything else you wish of us?" Taiga thought again for a moment. She had fought only one godslayer before, but their power was on par with the legends themselves. Taking on multiple of them seemed like a suicide mission. "I know it's kinda strange to hear this from me and all," she turned a slight hue of red for a moment, "but is there anyway for ya'll to make us stronger? And I don't mean a boost in experience...I'm just afraid that going up against these guys is gonna need more oomph than anything."
  11. Team Showdown - Temple of Time and Space Taiga had lost consciousness for a while, smiling the whole time she was knocked out. When she had come to her senses, she seemed to be floating. It was a good thing, because in her condition, she likely wouldn't have even been able to stand. Her bruised and bloody body hung around in the deep void, the only object visible being a sundial. Taiga rolled her eyes, as she looked for the other two. They seemed to have won after her all out gambit. She wasn't the least bit surprised though. Those two always seemed to clean up the mess she left behind. Bringing her eyes forward, she noticed that two other Gijinka had appeared before the Team. Somehow, it was put into Taiga's head that these two were the progenitors of the entire universe. Dialga and Palkia. Beings of Space and Time. "Nice place you got here..." Taiga joked, "A bit boring, but all you Legends seem to be like that. Fufufu." "You have passed our trials." "You have been deemed worthy." "Welcome to the inner sanctum." "Welcome to the edge of time and space." Then, both at once, they asked one question. "What has brought you here to us?" "Some time lord you are, huh? Can't you just look into the future or somethin' for that answer?" Taiga felt a sharp pain hit her side, as if on of her ribs had just punctured a lung. "It hurts to talk, so I don't wanna blab on too long, you know?" Just as she had felt the burning sensation a second ago, now it seemed to be fine. Taiga lifted her hand from her side, and looked to the Legend. Whether it was by their grace, or the powers of this place, she wasn't going to thank them just yet. "The future changes constantly, as those in the present, make and change decisions." "Yeah yeah, you just wanna hear it straight from the sharks mouth. Not like I have many decisions to make here anyways. Jeez can't you just make my job a little easier?" Taiga sighed. "Listen, I know you've been holed up in this place for who knows how long, but Rayquaza says he needs your help." "That may be why you were sent. But why are you here? Why did you, Taiga of the oceans of Northshore, and Scarlet of Mowloo, take on this task?" "What kind of a question is that?" Taiga crossed her arms. "I'm trying to live a comfortable life. I can't do that when some wackos are disturbing the natural order of things, now can I?" "An interesting answer. You may not know it but there are many in this land who would not rise up to this. Those who would not lift a finger to stop anything. Do you truly do all this without hesitation?" "W-well yeah!" Taiga said, placing her fists on her hips. "I'm Taiga the Terrible...I ain't scared of anything, and nothin's been able to stop me so far!" She scratched the back of her head, a thought itching at her skull. "The only thing really makin' me hesitate is airin' out all of Rayquaza's dirty laundry...I ain't an errand girl! I'm the Tyrant of the seven seas!" "True. Your power has been proven. As has your mind. You have earned the right to ask us anything you wish. You were chosen for this task because you were the right ones to do it." The two glance at each other. Then Dialga speaks again. "We can't leave here. Not anymore. But we can help. Across this region there are more like you. We cannot fight ourselves but we can gather these souls. Who stand against the threat to our world instead of hide from it. Rayquaza may believe Legends are needed to face this threat but it means nothing if the people do not rise to it as well." He crosses his arms. "Is there not anything you want to know for yourself, after coming this far?" "Geez...I guess that's good enough...just hope the big green bean doesn't bite my damn head off." Taiga thought long and hard to ask her very own question. "A question, huh?" She bit her lip, until it popped into her head. "Are my friends going to make it through this fight?" She looked to Isole for a split second, then back to the two. She stared intently, waiting for the answer.
  12. "So is that why you were hiding in the back? To gather your courage for this massive undertaking ahead?" The digimon looked at him with such an innocent intensity that Todd resisted the urge to strangle the small digimon. He sighed, and rubbed the back of his head. He noticed that Pix had done the same as well, with her mouth agate, and her pupils shining brightly. "Ye-yeah...that's why I stood back. I knew the situation would be handled one way or another. I just wanted to see if anyone else was brave enough first! What did you think I was, some coward?!" He smirked, shooting his face off to the side. Pix mouth widened even more, as she ooh'd the human's statement. "Wow! I really got lucky to have you hold me so close, huh Todd!" Todd averted his gaze from the small rabbits, scratching his cheek out of view. "Ye-yeah, I guess. You really lucked out huh?" No one had realized yet, but even looking at this digimon named 'Omnimon' was enough to send quakes down his legs. The voice of his teacher centered his focus, as the adult of the group began to explain the situation. "So... big, simple exposition dump. So, the Digital World is an alternate dimension, right? In it, all lifeforms are digital, and some of the most common ones are Digimon. Usually, when the Digital World is in danger, it'll grab random kids and force them to become heroes for the Digital World. This time however... this time it's different. It seems the two separate dimensions have fused into one, and no one knows how. So that, that's a Digivice. Think of it as a link to your digimon. It makes them your partner, and you can do some... interesting things with it, like force enough power into them that they temporally age up into a more powerful form," He rubbed the back of his neck. "Don't ask me how you're supposed to do that, it's different from person to person. I think that's all you need for now. Right now, we need to see what outside looks like." Conveniently, everyone's houses seemed to be lined up neatly outside of the school. However, a large train station seemed to reside in the newly organized town. "Hey, Omnimon... what's that tower?" Conner asked. It made Todd look towards the oddity as well, as his eyes scrunched to see the faint thing in the distance. "We don't know. We just know it's somewhere in Colorado... and yes, it's so big we can see it from any where in the... 'United States'." "Alright kids... find your houses, and get essentials. We'll meet at the train station in half an hour." "What a pain in the ass." Todd sighed, as he carried Pix all the way to his humble abode. It didn't take him long to spot his house, the one with multiple holes protruding through his second story window screen. When he was bored as a kid, he'd pick at it for hours at a time. When he opened the door, he was greeted by nothing but silence. "What else would I expect...wonder where the rents are..." "What are, 'rents'?" Pix asked inquisitively. "They're my parents." "Parents?" "You know...like a mom and dad?" "No." The digimon smiled at him. "We're just hatched from eggs made of data." Todd scratched his cheek, but then thought of of a better explanation. "Well, then the data is like your parent!" Pix's mouth opened wide again. "Wow! I've got a parent too!" "Everyone does." Todd sighed. "Now...what do we need for the journey to Colorado...." Todd scavenged through his bedroom, stuffing his backpack with a sleeping bag, a phone charger, multiple changes of underwear, and a flashlight with two batteries. He then headed downstairs to his kitchen, where he procured a thermos. Obviously, there was no running water in the house currently...he'd have to find some later, but stashed the thermos in the side of his backpack anyway. There wasn't much food in the cupboards, but he managed to find a half-eaten jar of peanut butter, and some crackers. "Well...that's good enough for now." He struggled for a second to sling the backpack onto his back, as Pix gave it a little push with her ears, hiking it over. "Thanks Pix. Let's head to the station and see if we can catch a train before the others show." "Roger, Todd!" The little rabbit saluted Todd, as she skipped happily behind him.
  13. Team Showdown - Temple of Time and Space "Savage, I like it. You'd be a good warrior for my court if circumstances allowed it." "That doesn't sound like drowning." Taiga huffed with disappointment. "I appreciate the sentiment, but time seems to drag on around here. I ain't tryin' to live forever! Not to mention I don't think I can stand to be around you much longer." She grinned as Scarlet and Isole made their own moves against the king. Annoyingly, the Gijinka still had quite a lot of fight left in him. "You don't know when to quit, huh?" She didn't want to let her exhaustion show, but she was still breathing raggedly, and sweat dripped out of every pour. She had taken so much punishment up until now from such strong opposition...how was this even fair. "Well well, seems I might be at a disadvantage. But that's how I like it!" "You're annyoin' as hell! Stop yappin' and just bring it!" Taiga snapped, her teeth snarling at the King. Her iris' started to quiver as she saw a huge energy swirl around the Tyrantrum. His approach towards her was incredibly quick, and she knew from his movement that she wouldn't be so easily able to dodge this attack. She wiped her mouth, revealing a wide grin. Taiga's shadow linked with the King of Adarid's, bonding them for a moment. "I'm leaving the rest up to you two!" Taiga roared towards the other two. A pillar of water launched Taiga towards the King, headfirst. She made to submerge into the pillar to try and shield herself, in a vain attempt to try and avoid death.

  16. Team Showdown - Temple of Time and Space Her attack landed, as she clamped down on the Tyrantrum's neck. She wriggled around in a vein attempt to rip a chunk of the Gijinka's aorta away, however the King's muscles were too thick to puncture through. It's like her attack had did little damage, other than make him yell a bit. She was shaken loose, as an Earthquake ripped the stadium into seperate pieces. "Well, I'll have to fix this place up after, but it's not every day I get a chance to really go wild, here you go, enjoy this one!" The King raised his hand to the sky, and brought it down towards the ground. Following suit were a volley of meteors, one heading for each of them. Taiga groaned for a bit, before letting it surge into a desperate roar. Like a rocket, Taiga bolted straight off the ground on a giant geyser of water. As she approached the meteor, she sank back into the water she created, letting the geyser careen straight into the heap of rock. As the two forces collided, the rock was forced to submit, shattering into pebbles that continued their approach back to the ground. Taiga emerged back on top of the waterfall once she was out of harm's way, and crossed her arms. The giant pillar of water slowly moved it's way towards the king in a crashing torrent that drowned out all noise, except for her voice of course. "Yeah. Didn't enjoy that much." She rolled her eyes. "You must be thirsty after that. How's about a drink? Try not to drown now! Or do, I don't really care! Fufufufufu!"
  17. Team Showdown - Temple of Time and Space Scarlet was the first to make a move among them, slamming the King with a blinding punch. However, the King seemed unfazed by the attack, and turned around to slam his head into hers. The cracking sound was abysmal to hear, and the King followed it up with a swing of his tail. After sending their heavy hitter flying, the King turned his gaze towards Taiga and Isole. "Alright, how about you then?" "Aw shit." Taiga groaned, as the Tyrantrum charged at the two of them. Taiga's knees shook. They had fought so many legendaries, but she hadn't become the least bit braver in these types of scenarios. She was tired and pissed off that she wasn't able to get faster. This whole thing was a mistake. "This is what I get for lowering myself to an errand girl, huh?" She said, as she tried to scramble backwards. But she knew there was no escape. She closed her eyes, but heard a familiar zapping sound. She opened them again to see that Isole had put herself between Taiga and the charging King. The cold Gijinka had blasted a Thunderbolt at the Old man, but it obviously wasn't of any use. The King kept on his rampage without so much as a flinch. Something about the scene gave Taiga a push. "WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU'RE ALLOWED TO BE SO BRAVE, ICE!" She roared, as she grabbed a hold of Isole's shoulder, and flung her way towards the back end of the arena. "Let a real Tyrant show this 'King' what's what!" Taiga reared her head back, to try and meet his, roaring fiercely as she prepped herself for what she realized would probably be her death. "BRING IT YOU WANNA BE! YOU CALL YOURSELF A KING, BUT YOU'RE JUST HOLDING ONTO THE PAST!" Taiga shot her head forward, only to meet air where she thought the King would be. She plummeted to the mat with her momentum, as she saw Scarlet had landed another big hit. A big hit in this case was something that probably tickled the Strong Jawed Gijinka. "Well alright then. Let's do this." "Yeah! Let's!" Taiga recovered, springing to her feet, and jumping straight at the Tyrantrum with spectral jaws of frost.
  18. "Well, that depends on how things go between our masters, doesn't it?" Lancer came charging at him once more, flourishing her staff and gaining momentum. After she approached, keeping her distance betwixt them, she swung at his side. He went to parry her strike, but the angle was awkward, and her speed proved to get the better of him. The staff shoved itself between his waist and his rib cage, rattling him to his core, and sending him flying to the side. He caught himself mid air, and managed to land gracefully. However, when his foot touched the ground, he could feel a very real, sharp pain strike at his core. Curses were sent flying through his brain. "What a strike." He smiled, pointing his sword out in front of him with one hand, setting his guard position. "I'm at a slight disadvantage fighting you, but that won't stop me from winning this bout. After all, my master is the one who will win this war." He taunted Lancer with his off hand, begging her to come closer. "Are you tired? Or would you like to continue our baile caliente!?"
