The site does cost money each month to upkeep. I don't sell any data, nor do I run any ads - any support you can give to help with the upkeep of things would be greatly appreciated.

There is no max goal for this donation, nor and end point. The rough costs for the site are around 40/50 GBP each month give or take 10 either side depending on the month, there are periods at the start of the year where this does increase significantly due to renewals for the domain and SSL certificates that this site runs off.

The site will remain active and online for as long as I can maintain it. I'm not struggling financially (at least as much as some!) and can maintain this regardless.

    • Didn't consider Argothian Enchantress when I was first building the deck as I was trying to keep it below £100. I am currently happy with the overall card draw, which is why I'm thinking of Mirri's Guile, but more testing against a larger variety of decks may change that. Overall, though a card which allows either scrying or surveiling would work and be cheaper. I have been thinking of Estrid's Invocation and if I got a copy from the MH3 bundle I brought, would've swapped something out for it. Similarly for Court of Vantress, I had the a version deck built before Wilds of Eldraine was spoiled and afterwards I more focused on the Green/White stuff more than the blue. I do have a couple of copies of Court of Garenbrig, but I don't want to have to deal with keeping track of a bunch of dice for counters, and another bunch of dice for number of tokens. I have a mismash deck of Cadira for that, with my second copy in an kinda, maybe, upgraded Ixhel precon. I'm not that bothered by the Universes Beyond card arts, since I mainly shop for the cheaper copies, though I may grab the Tricky Terrain Precon since I've got ~£32 loyalty points which are being discontinued at the end of the month to use up. As for the land base, it possibly could get cut down a bit, but like the card draw probably requires more testing against decks I'm not already familiar with. As for Stony Silence, while it doesn't contribute to the Enchantment synergies I do own a copy of Karn, the Great Creator. Which in exchange for not being as synergistic will still give me access to my Swiftfoot Boots, and to a less degree outside of the early game, Sol Ring and Chromatic Lantern.
    • If you're trying to save up for Mirri's Guile ($33), might I recommend saving up for Argothian Enchantress ($35) instead? There are a lot of the "enchantress" effect, but it's certainly one of the best. Other ones I don't see you playing are Tuvasa the Sunlit ($3.5) and Eidolon of Blossoms (50 cents) In addition to Copy Enchantment there's also Estrid's Invocation (30 cents), Clever Impersonator ($3) and Court of Vantress ($5). Really, any of the courts in your colors are cool besides Cunning. I notice you've got the other versions of this effect so here's the Propaganda propaganda ($1-4 depending on if you want Assassin's Creed art or not) I don't normally question a 37 land manabase but you've got three bouncelands in there (Azorius Chancery, Selesnya Sanctuary, Simic Growth Chamber) and a reasonable amount of card draw so do you ever feel like you're mana flooded? depending on how mean you want to be, because you have so few artifacts yourself, you could try Stony Silence ($2)
    • Here I come a year and a half later to add in something that wasn't said already in the replies, because I have been a part of a community for years now that has been dealing directly with the issues raised. It is not just one person or a few people's opinions that the game is becoming too complex, too power crept, or that it often finds itself with banlists that aren't conducive to fun play for all involved. In the retro Yu-Gi-Oh! community, we find at least one new player, sometimes many more, every day who shares the sentiment. So it isn't something so small as to not be a concern to anyone. I also read one reply here that, to paraphrase, said "if complexity or power creep were a problem, it would have ended the game years ago" which I don't think is a fair assessment. Everything is by degrees, and the general understanding and consensus of both players and those outside the game will shift over time. Yu-Gi-Oh! is a very interesting game, but it is inherently flawed with its system, and while nothing is eternal, there is no guarantee that it will have a considerably longer lifespan either. Especially now that people are discovering new and old ways to play the game, without having to follow the usual system. Oh, and I'll chime in to agree with the fact that MtG and other card games also have power creep and complexity problems. They also have severe greed problems, too, but that's another thing. It is often said that "MtG solves power creep by having card rotation" but this does not stop them from adding power creep into the game with every new set, especially since they now see and are supporting extremely popular legacy formats like Commander.
