Dark Gates of Deej Field Spell You cannot activate or Set a Field Spell. Each player can attack with only 1 monster during each Battle Phase. If a monster attacks: The turn player gives control of it to their opponent at the end of the Battle Phase. If this card is targeted by a card effect: The player who targeted this card must send 2 cards from their hand or side of the field to the GY, otherwise negate the targeting card's effect. Just a generic field spell (because it doesn't feel like we have enough of those). Honestly, I didn't feel too inspired with this one, but I really liked the picture in my mind's eye when I thought of the card. Basically, a monster flies through the circular gate to attack the enemy, but cannot pass back though from the other side and the other side's world corrupts them.

Mektech Synchro Signature [Continuous Spell] Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; it is treated as a Synchro monster until your opponent's next End Phase. You can add 1 "Meklord" card from your Deck to your hand, and if you do, destroy 1 card you control. You can only use this effect of "Mektech Synchro Signature" once per turn. Support To: Concept:

Equal Opportunity Spell Slicer WIND ***** Warrior/Tuner/Effect If a Spell/Trap leaves the field by an effect, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card declares an attack, you can negate the attack, and if you do, destroy 1 Spell/Trap on the field. The Spell/Trap is treated as though it were destroyed by battle. 2200/1000 Just a silly card I came up with. I noticed that a lot of the floating Spell/Traps only trigger when destroyed by card effect, so I figured I'd make a monster that bypasses that. It can destroy things yet - at the same time - normally doesn't trigger their effects. Yeah, I know I could get a similar utility more conventionally (banishing, negating effects in GY, etc. etc.) but this seemed like more fun! ?

for some reason im picturing Witch-Hunter using Whip/Chain Weapon (kinda like Castlevania's Belmont family) the removal effect is definitely interesting.... "If this card declare an attack: You can target 1 Spell/Trap card your opponent control; Special Summon that target as Normal Monster (ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-down Defense Position and then change this card attack target to that Summoned Monster. probably the most realistic take on this, its slow but it should be good if the monster has access to multi attacking or piercing

PSCT Fix: Only 1 monster may declare an attack per turn. If a monster attacks: The turn player gives control of it to their opponent at the end of the Battle Phase. If this card is targeted by a card effect: The player who targeted this card must send 2 cards from their hand or side of the field to the GY, otherwise negate the targeting card's effect. I made this fix with the intent of it saying what I think you mean for the 2nd effect since I didn't fully understood it (it said you gave control of monsters that attack to your opponent which didn't make sense when it came to their own monsters) until I really thought about it. 1st effect is a built in https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/The_Dark_Door, but I can appreciate this because: If you don't feel like having your opponent attacking anything successfully, you could pair this with https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Scrap-Iron_Scarecrow to stop their only attack every time you wanted to. Also, you can get around the switch control effect by playing Spirit or Yosenju monsters and attacking with them since their return to your hand effect is mandatory from either side. Last effect hmm... Well I hope the person that would need to remove this thing has a card that doesn't target.... Otherwise yikes... That is a painful effect to deal with... Especially if Twin Twisters or Knightmare Phoenix is their only answer. XD As for the card as whole, it is pretty stally and not a lot Decks can work around it with their playstyle. But, for the Decks that can utilize this... It acts as a way for their opponent to be playing in an uphill battle.

Adelaide smiled at Catriona. "If I had to admit, Leader, this sort of event was not exactly what I had in mind when Urvan told me to join you." The woman continued, "I'd expect assassins, bandits, perhaps some wild bears or two or a dozen, but I haven't been here for a week, and we had already faced off against an undead army, hostile beavers, and now...this. For such a group filled with radiant youths like this, our luck sure was a special kind of rotten, huh?" The lord nodded. "Yes, fortune has not been in our favor. Nobody expected these sorts of fights." Well, she had suspected there would eventually be some action taken against the group by the goddess, but even so, the presence of the Awakened had made for a rude awakening indeed. "I can only hope that further trials will not be so outlandish." She glanced to the side, where Tsetseg was using Cora as a shield. "Though I do not think it wise to discuss this further in such a location." Thankfully, it seemed the villager was well distracted. Penelope was currently conversing--no, studying Citron, and the merchant looked as comfortable with the idea as anybody would be at such an inspection. Catriona shook her head. When she was younger, she had wondered whether her sister was secretly a child of House Pharos rather than Nabudis. The members of that family were notorious for their pursuit of knowledge...to the detriment of all else. Then, other times, for instance when playing draughts or just when lost in thought, her face would take on an expression alike to their father. Tsetseg did not look comfortable with the inspection either, but for different reasons. "Penelope you should get away from it! They're nasty, and eat people whole. And then your horses. And then your crops!" The girl continued to use Cora as cover, unmoving from her spot and continuing to glare at both the wyvern and its apparent rider. Citron was quick to reassure the girl, but Catriona was not so sure of the wyvern's supposedly safe nature. She had seen its threat display when facing off against the beaver, and before its rider had woken up, it had looked pretty dangerous. No, she would keep herself at a distance from this beast. Turning to Link, she saw that he looked in the middle of getting Rohns cared for. Satisfied that everybody was together, save for Alois, Gunther, and Shiro, the lord turned back to the group. "Now that we're all in one place, we should search the village and find out why it became like this. However, it would be prudent to meet up with the other three first. They should still be at the square, unless they have moved on." Catriona glanced over to where a certain boy still slouched against the wall. The woman approached, heart souring at the thought of waking him up. Still, they would be departing soon, and it would not do to leave him behind. Reaching out a hand, she paused at seeing blond hair framing his face instead of dark brown. The shade was similar to that of her best friend, a young noblewoman of House Balfon. She had always found it odd that the Balfon family, who opposed Pontus with such vigor, looked as if they could be citizens of that country themselves. Before she knew it, her fingers had outstretched, as if to brush against the pale strands. Coming back to herself with a start, the lord clasped Edrick's shoulder and shook him briefly. "Wake up." Her voice was low, but clear. Once the lancer was awake, the woman would back up slightly and look to the door. Now that they had gotten some rest, or as much rest as they could get for now, Catriona just wanted to leave. The sooner they could undo this, the sooner she could get some answers, if the town had any. If it did not, then they would depart, and be that much closer to finding the whereabouts of the Great Dragon. -- Outside, Licorice said nothing to Sienna, staring off into space. While she maintained a physical presence here, mentally, she was far away, lost in her own thoughts. She likely would have stayed that way had the other Protean not spoken up. "Those beavers that attacked us... They were... Are... The people from this village... I... I struck one down... Saw it's body float motionlessly down the river..." The white fox looked back at the other. "Did I... Did I kill someone?" She said in a shaky voice. Licorice frowned, turning back to Sienna. "Perhaps," she said frankly, softening a little as she took in the woman's expression. "Don't beat yourself up over this. You couldn't have known that was a person. Not to mention, they attacked first. You were only defending yourself." She turned away. "They made a choice to attack, and faced the consequences of their actions. That is how life works," her tone grew slightly melancholy. -- The wolfhound shook its head at Gunther's comment about the bodies, but barked in affirmation at his following words, tail wagging slightly. Alois began to make some guesses of his own, "oh, right, Licorice also figured that they angered someone powerful or, something. So, matches up." Looking back to the dog he said, "so, was it the mayor that angered them? I bet it was him." The wolfhound nodded, lips curling back into a slight growl, before letting out another loud bark. This caused the strange man to cry out in surprise. He dropped to the floor, crawling on his belly toward the dog, head tilted up, eyes wide, whining. The beaver turned its head to the side with another scoff, crossing its two front paws over each other as if folding its arms. Shiro had started to make his way for the exit. Outside, he would discover that the animals looked to be well on their way to cleaning up any spilled produce from the various stalls. Most of them had gathered around the stand that the Isaurian merchant and her wyvern had broken, and were currently attempting to fix it as best they could, though they couldn't do much, being animals. A few looked to be comforting the hare from before, who was stamping its feet on the cobblestones of the square in anger. OOC

As if some god got impatient the rest of the day seemed to simply speed by for everyone in MechA cademy. The day turned to night and then, as it always does, turned back to day again. Kelsey groaned as she heard her alarm go off and threw something at it. This, unfortunately, didn't serve to do anything but knock it off the desk. And so it lay there beeping and beeping. Another groan. "Ahhh, Stella the thing won't shut up." It was then she remembered she wasn't in a room with Stella and that, in fact, she had an entirely different roommate. The memory stirred her to get up and out of bed. Then she saw what she had thrown at the alarm. It was her arm. She laughed awkwardly and avoided eye contact with her roommate as she struggled to get the arm back onto her body. She vaguely remembered receiving a message from the school stating that everyone was to gather on a field attached to the gymnasium to have a meet and greet with the teachers. That's right. Tomorrow classes actually started. She had gotten used to waking up when she wanted but soon enough she'd have to go back to a regular schedule. Sighing at this realization she took extra time to get ready to go. Even if she didn't actually have much to do. The school had a uniform but it wasn't required, and the uniform was pretty much a glorified tracksuit anyway, so she just threw on her everyday clothing and set out. The gathering place was a giant field. It somewhat resembled a football field but much more vast. Clearly made with mech in mind rather than regular people. There was even giant goalposts at each end, though no clear end zone, and stadium seating lining the edges. They had been loaded up onto a large, flat, floating device that brought them out into the middle of the field. It was uncertain why they had to go there for this, perhaps to give a scope of the place, or perhaps just because it felt more cinematic. Either way they were dropped off in front of a small group of people who were standing behind the vice principal. "Good. You are all here. No need for role-call I have already memorized all of your faces and know that there are no one missing. No one that would be missed at least. I will make this brief. This group of fine and talented individuals are the people hand-picked by our principal to teach at this school. You are to treat them with utmost respect at all times. Some of them may seem young but they are the best at what they do, each and every one of them. Now, stay silent as they introduce themselves." The first was a middle-aged man. Stocky, but not muscular. With rectangular glasses and a fatherly smile. "Hello, my name is Dalton John, or Mr. John I suppose. Please, no toilet humor." He gave a pause and looked around, as if expecting laughter, before continuing. "Ahem, I teach General Education. I know, not the most exciting thing, but I assure you it's entirely important to know the basics in life. And I look forward t-" He was cut off as a small, black and white, dog popped out from the back of his shirt. How no one noticed the bulge was unknown but the dog immediately ran towards the students and began weaving between them, stopping every once in a while to be pet. "Mr John." the vice principal said, a warning tone in her voice. "I thought I said to leave that thing in your room." "I did, I did, oh the rascal must've slipped on board. Quite the expert stowaway he is." He knelt down and held his hand out and the dog ran back towards him. "Aren't you?" He said, baby-voiced, "aren't you a little stowaway?" The vice principal cleared her throat and Dalton nodded, scooped the dog up, and stood. "Er, well, that's all then. Suppose I should stop now before I get put in the dog house." another pause for a laugh before he chuckled to himself and backed into line again. The next to step up was a rather unusual sight. Someone you'd see in ancient documentaries about cowboys rather than an elite mecha school. She tipped her hat at the vice principal, who was looking on with barely contained contempt, before looking towards the students. "Howdy! The name's Charlotte. Charlotte McCarty. But y'all can just call me Miss Charlotte. I'm the history teacher in these parts. I bet y'all think history is just dusty books and stuff but I'm here to show you it's a lot more than that. Why just last week I was tunnelin' through some ruins and found an ancient mummy curse..." At the sharp gaze from the vice principal she laughed. "Guess I'll save that one for class, when the boss lady isn't watchin like a hawk." She winked at the students. "We're gonna have ourselves a real good time this year, promise." After that came a tall and powerful looking man. Somewhere between standing in line and stepping up to address the crowd he had lost his shirt and his rippling muscles were full on display. "YO!" He shouted out. "I'M JAX, THE MAX, BENTON! Don't forget it! I'm here to make sure you SCRAWNY WIMPS turn into REAL MEN by the end of the year. Anyone who thinks physical education doesn't matter to a pilot is an ABSOLUTE JOKE! I won't rest until you can fight off mechs WITH YOUR FISTS!" His eyes darted around the group. "BY NEXT YEAR YOU'LL ALL BE AS STRONG AS ME, JAX, THE MAX, BENTON!" With that he stepped back into line, shirt mysteriously back on, and the vice principal stared, stunned for a moment, before nodding to the next person. Lighting a cigarette before slowly approaching the next teacher had black hair and was wearing a bulky track suit. She looked at the crowd and sighed, kicking the ground absently. "Lilith Malkin, Mech Combat instructor. Just call me Malkin. I doubt any of you have what it takes but I guess I'm supposed to try and make sure you don't get yourself, or any innocents, killed. I'll be real if you can't handle my class you shouldn't be here. And if I catch anyone failing and trying to go rogue and pilot a mech anyway." She took a long drag of her cigarette then stared straight ahead at them. "I'll kill ya." With that she moved on back into position with the rest. There was a long pause while the last, rather familiar, face stared off into the distance. Only when the vice principal approached her and said something into her ear did she perk up. She took a couple steps forward, not nearly as close to the students as the rest had, and inclined her head. "I'm Florence Patete. Call me whatever. I teach Mechanics. Can I go now I've got projects to work on." The vice principal sighed. "You have to give them the devices." Florence stared at the other woman for a few moments before slowly nodding. "Right. Those things." She pressed a button on a remote and a large tray, held up by some kind of floating semi-sphere, moved towards the students. Each with a name on them, one for each student, they appeared to be some sort of bracket with a large dome on it. "Squeeze the bracelet. The dome opens. Press the button. Your mech will come for you.....As long as its within range...and not broken....and you're alive." She paused. "I guess if you're not alive you can't press the button." Another pause. "I might have to fix that. Maybe a dead person will want their mech." She started muttering to herself, not moving from her spot, and the vice principal moved in front of her. "And there you have it. These will be the teachers that you'll learn from the rest of your time here. Any questions ask them now. Otherwise you're dismissed."

No, no, this wasn't good at all! Gabby kept pacing. And as she paced she passed by the mirror. And whenever she passed the mirror she checked to make sure everything was fine. Everything was not fine. Her hair was ugly. Boring. It was just straight down without anything special done to it. She didn't even have any accessory to add to it. Maybe she should have just went with her usual after all. Especially as she was still wearing the same old boring, try-to-pass-off-as-fancy, dress as usual. The hair just brought attention to how she hadn't changed anything else! How could she be so stupid! Okay. Calm. Maybe there was time. She could figure something out. Find something to spice it up. Or just go to her usual and hope that she could pull that look off in this setting. Her phone went off. From: Melissa To: Gabriela Hey, I’m right outside. As if the weight of the world suddenly crashed onto her all at once Gabby dropped to her knees. There was no time at all! Why was she already here? A quick glance at the time. Who put the world on fast-forward? Okay, calm, calm. Gabby stood up, started towards the door, checked the mirror one last time, and opened the door swiftly. Like tearing a bandage off in one go. She was fully prepared to go full on with her Gabriela persona. It would be easy. Fake it till you make it right? Then she got a good look at Melissa. "Y-you look so pretty." She blurted out. Her eyes widened momentarily as her own words reached her ears, and, too long later, her brain. Coughing awkwardly she stumbled her way back into her more typical public mannerisms. "T-that is you, um, you look fitting to escort one such as I to...a thing...such as this!" Her face, cheeks tinged with pink, eyes unable to keep in contact with the girl in front of her, told a different story but she tried to at least stay in dramatic pose. "Remember tonight, Melissa, for it is the night you get an exclusive view into true royalty! It is a day you will remember for ages and tell your children about." She hesitated. "So...where are we going?"

Quite strange card. IMO the big downside is that it needs a Level8+ monster on board to be live, and thus can be a dead draw in combo-reliant decks if they don't open with a way to get such monster. Also it seems it doesn't benefit from any search support. Guess it's fine for casual level play. You could improve it by making it require the Level 8+ in either the board or GY, resulting in a Level 1 Token if you are targeting the monster in the GY. By the way, you should add a (min. 1) PSCT there, since it shouldn't be possible to reduce 0 Levels and get a Level 0 Token.
