It felt good...it felt REALLY good. The immediate grasp of the Lucario with his Darkest Lariat then the forceful slam into the ground...it was obvious he didn't see that coming at all. Randy grinned from ear to ear, before glancing over at the Mega Scizor. "Thanks." "Don't mention it...heh, you ain't the only one who's got beef with this guy..." Randy simply said, watching the Lucario now being struck by a torrent of water. "Guy just won't quit...this guy is even more determined than Ryu or Allie..." "Launch me upwards. Trust me!" With a shrug, Randy obliged the woman, already launching the Scizor upward...and once that happened... The Lucario was on his last wits, though Scarlet was already preparing to be in a fighting pose. The damned Godslayer still stood up and was planning to fight...but it wouldn't just be the Scizor he had to worry about. "Mind if I join in?" Randy asked, already walking up beside Scarlet, his knuckles being cracked in the process. He simply saw the Mega Scizor nod firmly. This was definitely one of those moments where it seemed she didn't care...this guy just needed to go down...now. BGM The air seemed to grow stale and tense between the three of these gijinka just facing down each other. However, the air began to pick up greatly as the Scizor used Tailwind to boost up their chances. The Lucario finally made his move, moving quickly towards the two gijinka...this was it. Like clockwork, Randy and Scarlet mobilized, rushing forward towards the Godslayer. Randy closed the distance with Acrobatics and immediately struck at the Lucario with a Fire Fang right at his legs...he'd hit low...she'd hit high. And this definitely held true, as the Scizor delivered a strong Bullet Punch right into the top of the Lucario, which definitely threw the Godslayer for a loop. The combination attack definitely hit it's mark, but the Lucario only skidded to a halt and performed ExtremeSpeed just to close the distance again, to which he easily struck back at the two opposing him...but it was to no avail. It honestly didn't seem to do much towards them...as they ended up rushing towards him yet again, delivering a Bug Bite assault and a Darkest Lariat. All he mustered out at this moment was a deep snarling growl... Randy kept the assault on, only to back away for a moment, while Scarlet was swapping between Bug Bite and Bullet Punch on the Lucario. "...okay...now or never...Incinium Z...do your thing!" he said, now drawing on the power of his Z-Energy. The moment there was an opening from Scarlet, who seemed to notice that Randy was up to something, the Incineroar moved in and struck at the Lucario...preparing the trap. "...your in my range now..." Randy smirked, his golden feral eyes glinting in the light for a moment, as a wrestling ring of energy emerged from the ground beneath their feet. He began to deliver a few Close Combats directly to the Lucario, before looking at Scarlet. He nodded to her, which was granted a nod in return. "...these hands of mine...overflow with a powerful darkness!" Randy began to chant, his arms erupting with a dark energy, before he delivered a few strikes at the Lucario. "Their loud roar is telling me...to grasp victory!!" Another few strikes, before he grabbed the Lucario by the long tendril-like hair and proceeded to swing him around in a circle. With a roar he launched him up in the air. Another quick glance at the Scizor was given, before Randy hopped onto the top ropes of the energy ring and he leapt into the air. "Signature Move: MALICIOUS MOONSAULT!!!" he roared, before proceeding to strike at the Godslayer with everything he had, all the while...Scarlet moved right underneath them and proceeded to unleash Superpower right into the Lucario's back...and what was more...Randy now forwent the power of Darkest Lariat at the moment...and proceeded to strike with Close Combat. The Lucario now was being pincered by Close Combat on one end and Superpower on the other. The sounds of the two gijinka putting everything they had into their strikes against the Godslayer could definitely be heard. Before long, Scarlet moved slightly and now she and Randy were over top of the now falling Lucario, before both of them nodded and proceeded to deliver one last strike... "This one...this one's for Adarid!" "...heh...and this...is for Marie!!" Scarlet slammed her claw right into the Lucario's chest with Superpower and Randy did the same with Close Combat, sending the Lucario straight down into the energy ring with a massive explosion.

The branch's venture into a good clean game of cards was short lived as it happened. Not that Richard had been expecting a quiet day, given the line of work. Nicholas raised a meow of protest as the alarms sounded but the hunter himself seemed almost entirely untroubled. Instead he calmly put down his hand before reaching for his feline friend to set him down gently. The cat seemed to know what was about to happen. It happened often enough after all. Besides, Nicholas hated car rides. Richard could spare his friend that much. A dark shadowy aura surrounded the man and passed to the cat as Richard faded from view. Now possessing his friend, Richard stretched his temporary feline vessel and shook himself out. Off to the trucks it was. Richard didn't care much for the lack of details. He hadn't expected much better given the state of the branch. No matter what they knew going in, how effective he could be was always a matter of getting to the scene and observing anyway. At the least he could occupy Nicholas' body for the moment to have something to work with on arrival. It was always humorous how much stronger he proved possessing something, even his small feline friend. In his boredom, Nicholas caught sight of Kira and took note of how distracted she seemed. Maybe distracted wasn't the right word. She was so distant. Simply going through the motions perhaps. In any case, it was enough for Richard to poke at. Literally. With a practiced meow, Richard moved in his cat host to Kira's side before gently pawing at her. He'd spent enough time possessing his pet to act convincingly as a cat but not perfectly. If one was listening or observing closely they'd notice it. Of course there was also the fact Richard himself wasn't in the truck but his cat that never left his side was. But that was all part of the fun. One could think of it as a test. Just how distracted was the poor girl?

I Think It’s Time We Blow This Scene Caleb could feel the hostility in the dog’s voice. It obviously wasn’t directed at him, or, if it was, it was in an “I don’t need more work right now” sort of way, which he could respect. Everyone who’d ever provided anything had been there, and he was no exception. Even still, being pushed down Hinder’s agenda only let the other simmering resentments come to the surface, and his mood quickly soured right around to where it’d been just moments ago. He shouted after the dog. “I mean, you’ll know it when you see it. Aren’t too many swords like it on the island- in all Naviim, even. So just keep an eye out, okay? But yeah, I’ll be there.” Get Everybody’s Stuff Together Aiden had wished the watchdog the best luck he could, and that was nice and all, but he dared not watch the confrontation further. There was something cursed about Simon Weatherson in his mind, and the less he had to deal with him or his ilk, the better. That was his secret, that was why he felt compelled to inform others of Galatea’s ills. Someone had to do it, he just always hoped it would not be him. All he wanted to do was manage the flame. But, just like that, the impulse came back. Galatea was without water. It was not a problem he was personally equipped to solve, but he was in a position to inform someone, anyone, at least. The council was still in a meeting, of course, and they didn’t appreciate being interrupted, especially by him. A dog? There were many of them on the island, sure, but at least one was otherwise occupied, and who knew where the others were. His thoughts were jumbled as a young woman (or perhaps she wasn’t? She certainly looked like she’d seen better days) stumbled right into him. “My goodness, are you alright?” Aiden said. “I am, thank you. Excuse me.” It wasn’t very convincing. But there was also something about her that told Aiden that, no matter how hard he tried, she wasn’t about to accept any offer he gave, so he let her go, muttering a quick blessing under his breath as she went. When he looked back up, though, he saw the answer to his- well, they weren’t his most recent prayers, but it was exactly what he was looking for. Taros’ watchdog, Kitt, had just stepped into the square, and Aiden wasted no time in rushing over. “You were just with the council, right?” he said. “Are they aware of the water troubles?” As the question left his lips, a darker scenario entered his mind. He could fathom someone serving the gods’ watchdogs breakfast not wanting to mention any sort of shortage. And as soon as he thought that, he couldn’t help but ask further. “Galatea’s spring is dry. Did you know?” Okay 3, 2, 1, Let’s Jam Maybe it had been a mistake to go so far as to steal a sword, especially one that would be missed as soon as the sun came up, and especially with so many alternatives neatly organized in a row back at home. But, on the other hand, it wasn’t like she was about to go back to a house full of statues and bad memories until she could properly excise such things, and, like she had told the watchdog the night before, this was the only method available to her. Such were the thoughts playing over and over again in Emily’s mind as she relentlessly paced the outskirts of the temple square. Sleep was for people who didn’t have revenge on the mind. Or justice. Or whatever it was, whatever had necessitated getting used to the sword’s weight and making sure she could conceal it well enough to not draw attention until she was ready to strike. It didn’t need to be perfect, it just needed to be good enough to work once. Finding Simon, determining where he would be when his time came had been where another large portion of her night had gone. He’d moved on from Taros, obviously, but she didn’t want to risk blindly barging into more temples if she could help it. The more temple doors she threw open, the more attention she was bound to Of course, the lack of sleep certainly didn’t help. Nor did the shot nerves. Fortunately, in her pacing, wandering the streets of Galatea, she’d come across a few errant threads of conversation, rumors of a water shortage. It was enough to latch onto, she’d decided. Unless he was in Medeis’ temple, but that was the backup plan no matter what she chose. All that was left now was the actual doing, itself split into several mini-tasks. She had to cross the square, she had to reveal the sword tucked away, and she had to leap forward and strike the demagogue down. It was as simple as that, really. But it wasn’t like her nerves had improved over time, especially now that she needed food in addition to sleep. She was sure her reflection was a wreck of what she’d been but a day ago. “But a day ago.” That was when Myria’s watchdog had taken her in and shown Emily her future. That was the thing bolstering her resolve now. And it was that, more than anything else, that finally got her legs to start carrying her to Dia’s temple. It still was not a smooth journey, despite being in a straight line. Concealing the sword affected Emily’s gait enough to keep her in a perpetual stumble, and she very nearly ran into… was that Lar’s high priest? It didn’t matter, the only thing that did was moving forward. Step by step. The doors were already open, that was good. As she drew closer, Emily could even see inside. Simon was there, she could see that now. So were his attendants -- those had always been an “after” problem in her mind. The final body, though, that was cause for alarm. It was Nuumu’s watchdog, and she was… guiding, it seemed, Simon out of the temple. The dog was leading him somewhere. He was under her protection, surely. This was the watchdog she’d told, after all. Emily’s legs wouldn’t stop moving, though, until finally, she managed a reasonable confrontation distance and simply said, “What are you doing to him?” OOC

Ari lifted himself off the ground where he had fallen after performing that last Fusion Flare, whimpering slightly as all the sores, ouches, and booboos made themselves known. Very loudly and painfully. Fighting back tears from the pain, the Litleo wrapped his arms around his knees as he sat upright. Everything hurt, but he would survive. He just needed to take a small break first. Mac, on the other hand, seemed more than eager to keep moving. "Get up everyone, don't think we're done yet." She pointed toward the door. "You feel it right? Something...wrong is back there. I dunno what it is but I have a strong urge to kick its butt." She winced and rubbed her side gingerly. "Ah...hey does anyone happen to have some berries or something?" "Ugh, calm down already," Ari grumbled. "We just finished fighting a really strong bad guy. I think we all deserve some rest first." He trembled slightly as the pain began to feel overwhelming, before finding a handful of Oran Berries in his face. "Huh?" he looked up, locking eyes with a strange shirtless gijinka with a giant lightning bolt-shaped tail. "Here," the man said. "Eat it. It might not break da mouth, but it's just what the doc ordered after a good scrap." "Wha? What? Breaking mouth?" What were these words that were coming out of this gijinka's mouth, and what did they mean? The other groaned. "Just eat it. You'll feel better." Ari nodded, then looked over at the two blue gijinka who had fought alongside him and Mac earlier, as well as Jabari, all three of whom were unconscious still. "What about them? I think they need these more than me." "'A'ole pilikia, cousin," the gijinka replied airily. "I'll have them up and about in no time at all." As the strange gijinka tended to the others, Ari ate his berries as he stared at the ground. I wasn't any help at all, was I? I wasn't able to do anything against that Godslayer. Mac too. We both had to be rescued, but I know we tried our best still. He felt a little glum, but he couldn't let himself get too down. He would just do better next time, that was all. That was all he could do. He clenched his fists. I...I wonder if I should use that move then. It might help me last a little longer. I haven't practiced it, but...I think I need to try anyway. -- The fight was over. This one, at least. Easter agreed with the Helioptile. There was something back there, something strong. But for now, he would rest. Taking out a Poffin, he began eating it as he approached where Dora lay. He didn't want to use Wish too many times. There were only so many times he could use it before he couldn't. But healing Dora? That was something he could use it for. Except it looked like somebody else had beaten him to the punch, dripping Sitrus Berry juice into Dora's mouth before massaging her throat to force her to swallow, and then moving on to the other unconscious gijinka. Easter watched the Quagsire with a certain amount of nervousness before grabbing her by the shoulders and giving her a gentle shake. "Dora? Dora? Are you awake?" he murmured, eyes misting slightly. The girl twitched, then wriggled as she opened her eyes, almost as if she had woken from a nap instead of unconsciousness. She turned toward Easter with her usual smile. "Good morning!" Of course, I should have known, Easter thought. She probably just fell asleep. What a silly girl. So silly, so... he let out a small sob that he quickly disguised as a cough. "Good morning, Dora. I'm glad to see you're awake." Seeming totally oblivious to the gravity of recent events, the girl looked at him questioningly. "Is it lunchtime yet?" "You know...I'm not sure. Maybe. It's hard to tell down here." Easter smiled. "But here, if you're hungry, a snack," he held out a Poffin. "Don't tell Brooke I let you eat a snack before your meal, okay?" "Kaaay" Dora began to lean forward to bite it and paused. Eyes lighting up she gave Easter a smug look before reaching and grabbing it with both her hands. The Sylveon laughed so hard tears started to leak from his eyes. Reaching up with a hand to wipe them away, he smiled. A soft, gentle smile. An expression he had been showing more and more recently. As he watched Dora eat the Poffin, the anger that had been keeping him going throughout most of the fight finally began to fade away, dissipating like mist. Dora was alive. She didn't die. He wasn't too late this time. This time, he worked together with others. This time, he focused on support instead of his usual style. This time, he managed to save her, and perhaps some of the others. This time, he had kept those important to him safe and alive. Perhaps this was the path he should have been following all along. -- Keanu smiled slightly as he heard the happy chatter coming from the cute pink wahine and the kid. I guess that little keiki is gonna be okay. That's good. Now he just needed to worry about Marie and the strange-looking striped man. Feeding the both of them some Sitrus Berry juice, he waited for them to wake up. But even if that brah wakes up, I don't think he'll be able to pick beef with anybody," Keanu thought. His wounds were even worse than the children's. It was obvious that the Lucario had considered him the greatest threat, and for good reason, if he used to be one of them. No, this braddah wasn't in any shape to scrap. A slight stirring drew his attention to Marie, who was starting to pull herself up, taking a few deep breaths. She muttered to herself, eyes slightly unfocused. "I...I can't give up..." "Sure ya can," Keanu replied breezily. "He did, after all," he pointed over to where the Lucario lay collapsed on the floor. Despite his easygoing tone, the trembling of his hand gave away his true feelings. We don't have to worry about that moke anymore, and Marie's just fine, or fine enough to wake up anyway. Marie seemed startled by the response, looking to the body of the Lucario on alert, then confused, then cautiously. Then, realizing who said it, she looked confused yet relieved towards the Raichu. "K-Keanu! You -You're..." The girl looked around, seeing Nani and Randy as well saying, "e-everyone's here..." The girl's eyes started to water as she started to sniffle. "H-he said you guys would be fighting other godslayers...that you'd...but I knew! I knew you'd win and get here!" "Well, you had more faith than me," the Raichu replied, shaking his head. "Cuz we were fighting them, and I thought for sure we were all gonna join Marshadow's night marches for da kine there. Especially when we faced off against that moke there," he pointed at the Lucario again. "I dunno how you managed to last so long against him by yourselves, but you did, as lolo as it was." He smiled. "Guess we can't call you a little keiki, kid, anymore." Well, Marie had never been short on courage, but it was only now that Keanu felt like he was truly seeing her. A Brionne and a strong gijinka in her own right. Not somebody to worry about or try to protect. Keanu doubted he would have managed to survive against the Lucario. Hell, he barely survived the first time. But Marie had lasted not just once, but twice against him. Yeah, she had the striped braddah's help, but that didn't mean much against a foe like that. Yeah, Keanu would probably have just rolled over and begged for mercy. Honestly, he was surprised he hadn't done it when he first saw that moke change form. But I guess I knew I couldn't afford to do that, he thought. I needed to fight as well, at least to keep him from hurting Marie any more. He shook his head with a smile. Guess Randy and Marie have been rubbing off on me. Soon, Nani will be the only one with any sort of sense left in our team. But maybe da kine wasn't such a bad thing after all.

Tsubasa looked towards the giant robot t-rex with a smile on her face and a clear predatory look in her eyes, seeming ready to pounce and bring down the mechanical beast further. However, all her hairs stood on end as a lightning bolt struck the creature straight through the chest, causing the machine to power down and topple. Relaxing her shoulders, the cat girl let out an impressed whistle, before hopping off the destroyed radar. The girl rolled her shoulders, beginning to walk towards the downed machine before hearing a message come up over the loud speaker. "Huh? Test?" The girl cocked her head to the side, confused by the message but moved alongside everyone else. Once out of the field, they were met with another teacher, who gave them a rundown about what test they just partook in. Tsubasa didn't really pay attention to what the woman said, but felt slightly irked as she couldn't help but feel she was being condescended at. All the same, she didn't really have any questions to ask and instead looked around wondering when they could get a move on from lectures. Her ears perked up again as two other girls seemed to take issue with the test. The girl nodded to herself, adding, "pop quizzes definitely suck. You get there thinking, 'man it's just class, I can look out the window or take a nap without any worry' and then bam. They hit you with an exam and ruin everything." It was clear that Tsubasa hadn't actually been paying all that much attention to what Yumi and Rei had actually said, but seemed content to vent about in front of a teacher. It wasn't as though Tsubasa was the type to do any better on a test she knew was coming either, but it was the principle of the matter at the end of the day.

The Rising Star looked frustrated for a moment before giving a big sigh and then grinning at Belle. "Wow, your Poamoo sure is strong! Dunno about the other Pokemon but I can see you and Poamoo have a good bond!" He walked over to her and stuck his hand out. "I didn't think I'd lose. Especially cause you didn't seem to be all too used to giving commands. But I guess that works for some Pokemon!" Belle shrugged. "It's simpler. And less work." She scowled slightly, thinking of the Rattata. "Only if they listen when you do have commands, though." The boy then seemed to get a better look at her, "Hey, you're cute! What do you say to traveling with me? I bet I can help you with that Rattata of yours!" "Huh?" the girl blinked. "You think I'm cute?" She looked a little dumbfounded before her expression changed to one of realization, and then disgust. "Oh, wait. You're just saying that because you want somebody to travel with you, right?" She shook her head. "Sorry, but that won't work on me. You barely know me, so why would you--" she paused, remembering her encounter with Jacklyn and Ivan, who had also offered her to travel with them, after barely knowing her. "Well, okay, maybe you're telling the truth there," the girl admitted. "But even if you are," she paused, "I'm already traveling with these two here," she nodded at the two who had been accompanying her so far. It was simple math, really. The more people she traveled with, the less likely she would have to pull her own weight, or at least the less work she'd have to do. If she just traveled with this boy, then as soon as he got tired of battling, it'd be her turn. But with Jacklyn and Ivan, as soon as one of them tired, the other could take over, meaning she, Belle, wouldn't have to do anything. It was perfect. The only way it could get better was if even more people joined. She didn't think too much about the boy saying he liked her. It was very unlikely he actually did. Nobody liked her. She was the weird, creepy, fat girl. Related to the even weirder and creepier Sabrina. Boys had always treated her like she was some sort of strange species of Pokémon rather than a potential girlfriend, and she was fine with that. It's not like she needed boys when she had computer games to keep her busy. Interact with people who would probably make fun of her, or actually get some work done making an underground base in Galaria? That wasn't even a real choice. So Belle focused on the one actually interesting thing he had said. "Your offer about helping me with the rat is pretty tempting, but I think I'm good." It's not like she didn't have time to whip it into shape, and if it still didn't listen to her after a while, she'd just let it go. Though she felt an aversion to the idea as soon as she considered it. I won't give up. I can't let a stupid rat beat me. No matter what, I will get him to listen to me. She clenched her fists. Jacklyn seemed to have noticed Belle's victory, smiling at her as she walked away from a middle-aged redhead, "way to go Belle! Like I said, only a roadblock at best!" Patting the girl in congratulations, she then looked between her and Ivan saying, "now, gang." Pointing in the direction of the city she shouted, "let's go get rich!" "Sounds like a plan to me," Belle smirked.

Scarlet Team SuperPower Scarlet grinned as the Lucario seemed to be at his wits, almost surprised that he was losing. Her victory was short lived though, as she watched the Lucario strike Taiga with a Force Palm, sending the shark girl flying back. "Taiga!" Scarlet shouted, sprinting towards the crater on the wall. She found Taiga unconscious, blood everywhere on her around her mouth. "Hey, wake up! C'mon, he's... almost..." She said, nudging her friend with no response. Tears started rolling down her cheek as dread started setting in. In frustration, she slammed the ground next to her. Taiga was barely breathing in her state; still technically alive, but in her current state, that wouldn't last very long. "Thank you... for everything, partner." She gave her friend's body a hug, before picking herself up. She was distraught, as tears continued to roll down her face. However, she couldn't stay and mourn her friend - Taiga wouldn't want that, she was sure. She still had to take down that son of a bitch. "YOU BASTARD!" Scarlet shouted, immediately breaking into a mad dash towards the Lucario. She didn't even notice that the others had landed a heavy blow on the Lucario. Nor did she notice the wrestler that was also making his way towards the Godslayer. The only thing on her mind was taking down the bastard that had killed Taiga. She struck the Aura Sphere that was launched at her, sending it barreling towards the side as she pressed the attack. Their fists locked for a moment, as the Lucario grabbed onto Scarlet's Bullet Punch, gritting his teeth. "You took her from me!" She screamed, the ground cracking below the two as she pulled back her other arm, before swinging it towards the Lucario. The Lucario caught it with his free hand, leaving both of his arms occupied. "Your reign of terror ends here, you bastard!" The Godslayer's palms started to light up, getting ready to send Scarlet barreling back, when suddenly Randy came from behind him. With a dark energy in his hands, Randy grabbed the back of the Godslayers head, ripping him away from the Scizor. With one swift rotation, the Incineroar spun around and slammed the Lucario onto the ground. Scarlet was caught by surprise by the sudden ally. She couldn't tell what type of gijinka he was, but that didn't really matter right now. "Thanks." She said, her eyes still locked onto the Lucario that was picking himself up. Both Scarlet and Randy got into a fighting stance next to each other, as Lucario prepared to attack the two in front of him. However, he suddenly jumped back, as if he felt another come to join them. Scarlet let out a gasp as she saw a torrent of water rushing towards the Lucario. "Taiga!" She was alive and ok, somehow. She wasn't sure how; maybe another gijinka had healed her. She'd have to ask later, though - they had a fight, as Taiga sent the Lucario flying to the other side of the room. She turned towards her new muscular friend, a crazy idea coming to her. "Launch me upwards." Randy seemed confused, slightly hesitant. "Trust me!" With a shrug, Randy did as the Scizor demanded, tossing her upwards towards the sky. Scarlets wings fluttered as she landed on the ceiling, before using all of her force to launch herself off of it, leaving behind a small crater as she dive bombed the Lucario with a Superpower, putting as much force into her punch as she possibly could. The dark energy shattered around her like glass, giving the dust cloud around the two a sort of shimmer. Scarlet stood up from the huge crater they had left on the ground, steam flowing from her body as she looked down on the Lucario. He seemed to be at his last wits, but he wasn't down for the count, as he slowly stood back up, blood on his lips. Despite his body condition, however, his eyes still had the same fiery anger they had not too long ago. Scarlet brought her arms up, ready to keep the fight going. She still had to take down that son of a bitch.
