Oh my god the FFVII remake looks so fucking sick. The battle and party system looks really awesome, and I think having the first game focus on Midgar is a good choice. Learning more about the place and the characters will be wonderful, and things really change to more of an open world once you leave in the original, which will be a really cool next gen game.

Google Stadia looks really cool, almost too good to be true. Unfortunately I wouldn't even be able to reach the bare minimum mbps required given the internet options available in my area.

Anthem's roadmap for future content has been straight up deleted, fucking lol. There's stuff coming but they've removed any dates and information from the site.

To this day, Sonic '06 might be one of the most entertaining video games I've ever seen. Anytime someone plays it it's just such a horrible, hilarious mess that has me laughing my ass off every time.

The Nioh 2 alpha is pretty sick so far. In terms of graphics and gameplay it's pretty much the same (the first game was only 2 years ago after all), which is perfectly fine with me. The new Yokai Shift replacing Living Weapon as a Devil Trigger-esque transformation is way cool, and I like the new dual hatchet weapons. Plus, there's already multiple new enemy types which was the biggest issue from Nioh 1 alongside lackluster level design which so far the first level was pretty nice and varied. I'm also really interested in what the story will be about since there won't be a focus on the Warring States period, plus since you can create your own character it means William at the very least isn't the main character again, though I don't know if he'll be involved in some other way.

And in case anyone is confused on my use of female pronouns I'll go ahead and clear it up. From what I understand of her character (never actually played Granblue so this is just what I've read), she's a trans woman who doesn't want to make the physical transition (which would be fully possible down to the biological level due to alchemy) because she treasures the body her parents gave her that she was born with.

TIL Pheidippides, the guy who inspired the marathon race, was waaay more badass than I thought. First, he ran the 150 miles from Athens to Sparta AND THE SAME DISTANCE BACK. Then ran the 26 miles to Marathon, THEN FOUGHT AT THE BATTLE OF MARATHON, then ran the 26 miles back to Athens to announce their victory where he finally collapsed and died. I'm just curious what this'll mean for potential future installments. Everything may have been completely reset but I don't think in MK12 they'll have an entirely new cast of characters, that'd be a lot of work and no one would like all the fan favorites being gone (though it is possible). So the timeline will most likely repeat itself in a way that the same characters still exist, I'm just wondering in what capacity. Especially for Raiden, it's not like he'd make a return as the Thunder God again right? I feel like that'd sort of defeat the purpose of him fusing with Liu Kang and being mortal at the end of the story. So what would that do for his significance in the story as well as how he'd fight in terms of gameplay?
