The fact that Shao Kahn is only available as pre-order for MK11 is causing me great distress as I frantically try to decide if I'd rather get MK11 to nab him, or if I'd rather pick up the new Smash DLC and have some other fun bucks to toss around.

The guy that invented shaving cream deserves massive props and has left an irreplacable gift for men the world over and all... but hot damn do I hate shaving cream.

The soundtrack of Road Rash 64 is real nice until you're about half an hour into the game and realize it's just 3-5 songs on loop. But the gameplay's fantastic so who cares?

When you're going through a visual novel, is the right verb reading or playing?
-
Either one is accurate. You're still an observer in the act, and you mostly control the rate or time the narrative is taking place. Actively, you are one who has the biggest control to how long it takes for the narrative to take place. Playing the role of viewer is dependent a lot on how much you think you control the pace of the narrative; if you're causing the next actions to occur and you feel like you are in a lot more control, probably playing. Or actively reading. Ludo-reading?

with how fucked-up the chinese government is, I'm starting to wonder if coronavirus becoming a pandemic wasn't an accident
-
It was less of an accident and more of an eventuality. Poor Healthcare outside of Beijing, coupled with open-air meat markets with no refrigeration being commonplace across the country, and immoral use of last-resort antibiotics in animal feed that promotes resistance. Then the party's usual suppression tactics gave the virus more than enough time to escape beyond its control. Now they are panicking, and try to blame their political rivals for something they caused.
