  2. -April 15th, 2000- -6:30 AM- -New York City, New York- Lucia found herself at a coffee shop, anxiously clutching her mug. She had never been outside of her farm, much less a huge city like this. The coffee here was ok - nothing as good as back home, but it would do right now. She didn't get much sleep at all, both because of her new settings and because of her recurring nightmare. She wondered if she had made a mistake coming with the man that night, as she missed home. However, she had learned a lot about her gift in the short time she had been with them. She wasn't sure how it worked - it defied everything natural - but at least she wasn't going to be turning into goat demons in the middle of the coffee shop. Still, just to be safe, she avoided touching any animal she saw. "Dios mio..." She muttered under her breath, taking another sip of the mediocre cup of joe and letting out a sigh. She was nervous about meeting the others, mainly because her english was... ok. She had taken english classes before being shipped, and she even got some help after getting kidnapped, but she still wasn't very confident in it. Once her coffee was done, she made her way out of the shop, grabbing her baseball bat and slinging it over her shoulder. -April 15th, 2000- -8:05 AM- -Dining Hall, Diliculo Branch 22- Luckily, they had provided breakfast for them here. The coffee here was about as good as the one from the coffee shop, and the eggs in front of her were decent. She let out a yawn as she took another bite, before a lady entered the room with a lot of energy. The lady, Captain Mathilda, called everyone over to one of the bigger tables to have everyone sit together. With a shrug, Lucia grabbed her tray and made her way towards the middle, taking a seat with the rest of the others. As she sat there listening to everyone introduce themselves, she was trying to figure out how she saw going to phrase her introduction in English. Everyone's power - Ids, as she was told previously - were interesting, to say the least. They all seemed to defy any sort of logic, definitely peaked her curiosity as to how any of this worked. When she noticed she was the last to go, she stood up. "Hola!" Lucia said, waving at everyone. "My name is Lucia Emilia Soto Garcia! I come from a farm in Torreón, Mexico. My Id is... well, it does not have name." She said, laughing a bit. "But it lets me touch an animal and copy its body parts for a bit." She wasn't sure if she got the gist of her power out to the others, but that was the best she could form with what she knew. "I wish I could show you but..." She looked around. "There's no animals around. Well, that's not right but..." She planted her hand on the person to her right's shoulder, and her hand began to glow. As it was glowing, she showed the others her hand, and once it was done glowing everyone would see. A hand. "...people make for boring use." She said with a laugh, taking her seat once more.
  3. They seemed to be at a stalemate here, as both Pokemon seemed to be relatively exhausted from the battle. Don was hovering over the Tepig, dodging out of the way of an Ember. Ivan wasn't deterred, however. In fact, he had a plan. "Don, you're gonna have to trust me, alright?" He said, Don not visible responding as he was busy dodging another Ember. Ivan kept his eyes locked onto the Tepig, waiting for the Pokemon to make its move. Once he saw the Tepig getting ready to fire another Ember, he made his move. "Peck, now!" The Murkrow hesitated for a second, before diving head first towards the Tepig. The fires singed the bird but he wasn't deterred as he dive bombed the pig. Tepig was caught off guard by seeing the flames be split in half with a Murkrow coming at it, striking it critically on the head with a solid peck. The pig reeled back a bit as Don landed, a smug look on its smoky face. However, Don was clearly reaching a breaking point, having literally just tanked the attack. He also didn't have much time to be smug, as Don quickly took to the skies before Tepig could strike him down with a Tackle. The two Pokemon looked at each other in the eye, both of them eager to finish this battle. "Alright Don, get ready to finish Tepig off with a Pursuit." He said, the bird nodding as it started to hover lower, trying to find an opportunity to attack. Tepig and Dinah, seeing the bird get lower, decided to take a risky gambit, as the girl order Tepig to go for a tackle. Ivan panicked for a second as he heard this, but Don stayed calm. The cunning bird had a plan, as it started moving in closer towards Tepig, seemingly ready to strike with a Pursuit. Tepig launched itself into the air, confident that it could take down the Murkrow before the bird could take it down. However, as Tepig leaped from the ground to deliver its attack, the Murkrow made a sudden turn, wincing as its wing was grazed by the flying pig. While Tepig was landing back onto the ground, Don wasted no time turning around and delivering the Pursuit that Ivan commanded it to do. As the attack landed, Tepig stumbled onto the ground and, after struggling to pick itself up, collapsed. Don landed, smug as ever, before also collapsing in exhaustion. "Woah..." Ivan said, running up to Don. Picking up the bird, he smiled. "Not gonna lie, you had me worried there for a bit." The bird simply smirked, eyes shut as the boy recalled his Pokemon back into its ball. He turned back towards Dinah, a grin on his face. "Well done!" He said, crossing his arms. "Almost thought I was gonna lose for a second there!"
  4. Things had gone in ways that Raijin hadn't expected. Somehow, this had lead from searching for two men to now splitting the party to do as they say. He didn't really care for any of this, really, but investigation sounded a lot more difficult than discovery. So, instead of going with Dick, Raijin elected to follow Octavia and Sir Lock Holmes. His mannerisms were at least amusing. The group had made their way to a rather obscured apartment, the insides of which were a complete mess. Paper was scattered everywhere, like a mad librarian lived here. He was pretty sure this was Sir Lock's home, which was a tad surprising. Maybe this dude was mad, who knew. Raijin didn't care, and the second that he was told to make himself at home, he threw himself on the couch. What did catch his attention, though, was the pictures of Blues and Mr. E, alongside some other crap he was sure he had seen before from the bastards that adopted him. He went on to list the marks and each person that it belonged to... it was all rather dull. Lock did confirm something, though - the people that had gathered all of them were suspicious as hell. Raijin already knew that, considering they were picking up orphans and doing fucked up experiments on them for some bullshit. He waited for Octavia to speak before talking. "Wow, the sketchy corporation that's gathering random orphans is sketchy - what a shocker!" He blurted out, tossing himself upright to sit on the couch. "I kinda figured that when they fucked us up for months on end. I mean shit, it only takes 3 seconds of talking with Mr. E to know dude's up to no good. And Blues, well... he strikes me as the corporate kind. So even worse than Mr. E." He stood up from the couch, stretching his arms. "But all of that doesn't matter, cuz those bastards got the cash I need to split from both them and that shithole Taccon Ci-" It was then that a thought dawned on him. The danger that the marks provide, the ludicrous amount of money offered to them, the mystery surrounding Mr.E, Blues, and everyone around them. "Oh those motherfuckers!" He turned to Octavia, rage in his eyes. "Those bastards aren't gonna pay us a dime, are they!?" The thought that he had gotten swindled and used like that got him heated up, his fist balled up in a fist. However, he took a deep breath. "Shit..." He was jumping to conclusions - he didn't even know he could trust this Lock guy, let alone Mr. E and Blues. Still, the people they worked for were sketchy as fuck, there was no doubt about it. It would be good to hear from someone else, someone from the outside. He turned to Sir Lock Holmes. "So, how exactly are we finding this truth?"
  5. Alpha Team Karaoke It had been a bit since they had defeated Giratina and, for once, Lok was at ease. While things weren't exactly normal, they were at least peaceful. Still, it was hard to enjoy the change of pace after what had happened. What happened to Gwen still lingered in his mind - even though she was safe, things felt... empty without her. He let out a heavy sigh before his train of thought was interrupted by the message from the gods. He hesitated for a moment, contemplating staying home. He had missed the relative peace between then and now, and considered abandoning it all. However, he knew that wasn't an option. He had gone too far to give up now, and leaving the quest behind now after Gwen had sacrificed herself felt wrong. So, with a heavy heart, he accepted. And, as he did, the world around him vanished in darkness. S.S. Showdown Team Karaoke He found himself on a ship of sorts, with various gijinka here and there. He even recognized some of them from Juyu, which made him smile. One of those faces, however, was Fiona. His stomach turned - what was she doing here? Didn't she work for the Godslayers? He tried his best to avoid eye contact as Fiona gave her speech, although for a moment their eyes locked onto each other. "What..." Did she have a change of heart? At least that's what it seemed like what was going on. The girl had already betrayed his trust multiple times, but maybe he had been too hard on her that day. He really didn't want to talk to her, he knew it was going to be awkward. However, he felt like he had to tie up loose ends. As he was contemplating on what to do, he felt Nine pat him on the back, nudging him to go talk to her. He blushed. "O-Oh, yeah... I probably should, huh? Haven't seen her in a bit - crazy, she's here now huh? I never thought I'd see her..." He rambled on as Nine moved on to talk to others. He let out a sigh. "Ok Lok, you can do this... you've talked to a bunch of people before... just a simple 'how's it been' and you're golden! Ha... ha..." Nervously, he made his way towards Fiona, thinking about what he was going to say. Eventually, Lok found Fiona among the crowd. As casual as he could pretend to be, he walked up to her. "Hey... It's uh... It's been a while, hasn't it?" He said, with a nervous chuckle. "Didn't think I'd run into you here... or ever, really..." The worst thing he feared was happening. It was awkward.

  8. Skuldafn Team Showdown Scarlet and her friends spent what felt like hours in Skuldafn, taking in the wonderful views that the ancient dragon city provided and, at least in Taiga's case, their food as well. She still couldn't believe this was actually happening - it felt like forever age that they were in the temple. Or it felt like a few minutes, she wasn't really sure. Scarlet chuckled as Taiga spilled ale on her face. "Gonna take on the world, huh?" She remarked, taking a more reasonable swing from her cup. It wouldn't be long before a familiar set of voices rang in her head. Dialga and Palkia were sending their message. "Looks like its time." She said, standing up from her seat. Whatever amount of time that had passed since they entered the temple, it didn't matter. This was the moment she had been waiting for, ever since she learned about the Godslayers and teamed up with Rayquaza. With the power that had been granted to her, and the help of other powerful gijinka from across the land, she was sure this was going to be the end. With a simple nod, she closed her eyes and, when they were open again... S.S. Showdown Team Showdown They found themselves back on the S.S. Showdown. "Woah..." She said, looking around at some familiar faces. There was that pidgeot, who was apparently a disciple of Arceus himself, and there were the other rotom girls. But there were also some of the chasers that she had met on that fateful day. There were also new faces, however, like that Fiona girl that had introduced herself. It was all a bit to take in, as she watched Taiga march up to the Captain. She turned to Isole, a smile on her face. "Well, this saves us the trip of bringing you back here at least!" She said, placing her pincer behind her head. "I imagine you're gonna want to stay here once this is all said and done, huh?" She waited a bit for Isoles response, before letting out a sigh. She knelled down on one knee, matching Isole eye to eye "I hope you got to see everything you wanted to see on our little adventure." She smiled, before standing back up. She took one more glance around her, watching as the various gijinka talked to each other. The calm before the storm. After her and Isole spoke, she made her way back towards Taiga, placing her arm on the girl's shoulder. "So, you've been working with the legends the whole time, huh?" She said with a light chuckle. "Didn't really think you were the disciplining type, but hey. What do I know." She said, lifting her arm off of Taiga and extending it for a handshake with the captain. "We brought Isole back. Safe and sound."
  9. Ivan gave a chuckle as Dinah responded to him. "We'll see about that!" He said, as Tepig wagged its tail at Don. "Don, fly up!" He commanded, as Don flew high up above the charging pig, who could not jump high enough to reach Murkrow. "Now, Pursuit!" Ivan commanded, as Don dove back down with a dark aura surrounding him. The bird slammed into the pig, Ivan pumping his fist. Dinah was quick to respond, however, as she commanded Tepig to once again Tackle. This time, Don didn't have enough time to fly out of range, getting hit by the tackle. Ivan grumbled, pointing his finger towards Tepig. "Go in for a Peck!" He commanded, Don giving a hesitant nod before striking the pig with a peck. Once again, as the bird struck the pig, Tepig answered back with another Tackle. Ivan was getting worried - sure, he was getting in hits, but it was pretty clear that Tepig was hurting Don more than the other way around. He wasn't sure how long they could trade blows like this. "Don, fly up into the air!" He commanded, Don flying out of range of Tepig once more. While Ivan managed to keep a stoic look, he was starting to panic - it was clear that Tepig was hitting harder than Don could retaliate. He had to find a way to attack Tepig without getting hit in return.
  10. Under the Moon Team Karaoke Lok was still trying to process everything that had just happened as everything around him started to crumble. He was shocked to see Darkrai appear out of nowhere like this, and shocked to see Giratina defeated. He snapped back to reality as he heard Nine call out to him and Shaymin, nodding his head. He trailed behind the ground, nearly getting crushed by falling rubble, but eventually he made it out. Lok's first reaction was to run up to Gwen, tears rolling down his eyes as the girl that had save him on multiple occasions was now dead. He had failed to protect her, even if they had managed to defeat Giratina. He turned towards Darkrai and Nine talking to each other, but he did not care. He turned back to Gwen's lifeless body. "I'm sorry..." He muttered under his breath. He turned his head back again towards the others when Cresselia showed up. He didn't pay much attention once again, until he heard Cresselia's words towards them. Lok's head snapped towards the legend, gasping as she let them know that Gwen could still make it. "Thank... you... Thank You!" He said, clutching Gwen's arm. He turned to Shaymin, who had asked him who the Godslayers are. Lok froze for a second, memories of Fiona returning to him. "W-Well... where do I begin..." He said nervously, rubbing the back of his head. "You see there are some, uh, Gijinka that are trying to... kill the Legendaries. We met a couple of them and barely managed to scrape by..." He paused momentarily, before continuing. "They're really strong too. They're able to fight the legends one on one! It's all a bit scary, honestly... We had a... nevermind." He stopped himself from mentioning Fiona. He'd much rather forget everything about her, if he was honest.
  11. The two Pokemon exchanged attacks, Don's Peck and Tepig's Ember both hitting their mark. Don landed in front of Tepig, giving the pig a cocky grin. "Quick, use Astonish!" Ivan commanded, Don nodding as it stood its ground. Tepig made its charge towards the Murkrow; however, as Tepig got close, Don let out an astonishingly loud squawk as it spread its wings in an intimidating fashion. Tepig was caught off-guard by this attack, flinching at the sudden noise and the light tap of its wing on its nose. "Yeah, get 'em Don!" Ivan shouted, pumping his fist as the technique worked. He had seem something similar done back in Alola, although it was with another move that Ivan couldn't quite remember the name of. Dinah didn't seem too pleased by this. "Tepig, use Ember!" She commanded, as the pig quickly recovered from the astonishing blow. The pig spat hot flames towards Murkrow, the bird bracing himself by bringing his wings up. Ivan growled, before pointing towards Tepig. "Don't let up, use Peck!" Tossing its wings to the side, Don made a dash towards Tepig, his wings following behind him as he slammed his beak onto Tepig's head. Ivan turned to Dinah, a smirk on his face. "Is that all you got?"
  12. "I think they're almost..." Belle was already moving towards Jacklyn and the other girl. Ivan simple shrugged. The girl was definitely struggling with the Ratatta, but at least she seemed to be doing better with it now. He let out a sigh, hopefully she could eventually get that Ratatta under control. Ivan shouted towards the duo. "Yeah, I can do a one on one." He called, returning Po back to his Pokeball. Judging by the way Jacklyn was talking to them, it seemed like she had lost. As expected, Belle turned down the call to battle. Ivan, however, was ready to go. "I'm not tired. In fact..." He stepped up towards Dinah, pulling out another Pokeball. "...I'm just getting started!" He tossed the Pokeball into the air, before catching it and pointing it in front of him. "Don, it's show time!" Out of the ball emerged Don, spreading its wings and letting out a squak, before giving the Tepig a smug grin. "Let's do this!." He said, cracking his knuckles, before pointing at the Tepig. "Don, use Peck!" On his command, the Murkrow jumped into the air, gliding towards the Tepig and attempting to strike it with its beak.
  13. It didn't take long for them to find Lachlan, who was currently with the other beast lady - the cat lady. He looked pretty beat up, considering that he collapsed on the ground and all. While Lucine did her stretches, Wada simply leaned on his mallet, waiting for their sparring match to start. He hoped that Lachlan was ok - he wasn't even sure if the boy was in any condition to fight. Maybe he had some sort of regeneration, though. Who knew. Wada frowned when Lachlan decided not to join them, although he now knew what the cat lady's name was. It was a strange name, but he wasn't one to judge. "Well that's a shame... have fun with Mommy!" He said, before turning towards Lucine. Wada wondered if the cat lady was going to join in, or when. Was this going to be some sort of free for all? It was all rather exciting. He held his giant mallet with both of his hands. "Whenever yer..." Before he even had time to respond to her, however, she was already lunging. "Woah!" He exclaimed, swinging the red mallet right towards the girl as she soared through the air towards him.
  14. ?͜҉̀?? Team Karaoke Lok's eyes widened as Giratina started hurling chunks of the ground at him, as he tried his best to dodge them. He dove and weaved between the rubble, clutching his arm, but he couldn't dodge forever. Some of the chunks of earth were hitting him, slowing him down as more and more hit him. Eventually, one of the stones struck him dead center, sending him flying back. He knew he had been beaten up and worn down by the fight, but he didn't realize the extent of it until he found himself flat on the ground, unable to pick himself up. His vision went black as a shadowy figure loomed over him, his ears ringing as he felt all of his senses drift away. He had failed everyone, were his last thoughts, as he felt his consciousness follow his senses into the void. And, all of the sudden, he felt his body jolt back to life, as if his soul had been dragged back into his body. He let out a gasp of air as he felt warmth return to his limbs, staring at his hands for a second. He took a second to take in his surroundings, his eyes locking onto Gwen's limp body on the ground. It didn't take long for him to figure out what had happened. Tears rolled down his eyes as he clenched his fists, standing up. Purple lightning crackled from his palms and eyes, rage and determination filling his veins. He turned towards Giratina. For better or for worse, Gwen had passed down the torch to him - no, to all of them - to finish the mission entrusted to her. "This ends now!" He shouted, thrusting his hands back as he propelled himself forwards with Thunderbolt, leaving a trail of purple lightning in his wake. As he flew through the air, his hand began to glow a nasty purple color. "Giratina!" Lok shouted, the legend turning to face him. The Hex in his hand flared up as he delivered a haymaker right onto Giratina's head, the flames in his palm exploding out as Lok landed behind the legend. Giratina let out a feral screech as the attack landed - this time, not in shock, but in genuine pain - as Lok growled. With a quick twist of their body, Giratina swung their arm towards him, swiping at the ghost. Lok stepped back, although he wasn't able to fully dodge the attack as the claw grazed his chest. Lok, however, didn't seem to notice, as he shot out a purple Thunderbolt at Giratina, striking Giratina right in the chest. "You die today - for her!"
  15. ?͜҉̀?? Team Karaoke Lok was baffled as reality itself seemed to have been corrupted by Giratina. The once stable ground they stood on morphed into various platforms that seemed to float above an endless void. These platforms moved everywhere, large chunks of land floating below and above him. As his platform seemed to sink, Lok was surprised when he didn't fall off the chunk of rock he was on. It was almost like his platform had its own gravity, as he felt completely stable as the platform tilted downwards. As Nine and Shaymin fought, Lok took a second to try and wrap his head around what exactly was happening. He also took a second to catch his breath - he wasn't sure how much longer he could actually go on, as he was feeling drained. He wouldn't have much time to consider that, however, as he saw what looked like a meteor flying straight at him. "No no no!" Lok stammered, frantically looking around for a way out. He saw another platform floating by him - this one completely parallel to the one he stood on. He had no idea if what he was about to do was going to work, but from what he gathered about these platforms and the fact that there was a landmass quickly flying towards him, he didn't have much of a choice. With whatever energy he had left, he sprinted along the platform, jumping off of it as Nine's platform approached, the force of the impact helping him propel himself towards the parallel landmass. He felt his stomach turn as he face planted on the platform, what he could only describe as the shift in gravity nauseating him. Picking himself up, he turned around to see the platform that he was just on, or what was left of it after the crash. He turned towards Giratina, who now had a sort of primal and horrifying look to them. Fortunately, his platform - wall? - was drifting above Shaymin and Giratina, the latter of which had fired off a nasty looking attack. Taking a deep breath, Lok ran off of the edge of the platform once his platform was directly above theirs, and landed on top of Giratina with a Hex burning in his hands. The legend let out a roar as the flames danced on her body, the tendrils on her back nearly instantly tossing Lok off of her and towards the ground. As he tumbled on the ground, Giratina snarled at Lok, before letting out a Dragonbreath towards the boy. Lok barely had time to roll mostly out of the way, letting out a roar in pain as he felt the side of his arm burn from the fire. Lok clenched the now singed arm, whimpering as Giratina let out a mad cackle.
  16. Ivan nodded at Belle's comment about defeat. "You're more determined than I thought." He said, giving the girl a thumbs up. "You'll figure it out." He said, before turning his attention to the bird that had just approached them. Probably due to the ruckus the Pokemon were causing. Po cracked his knuckles, ready to take on the bird, and was caught off-guard when Ivan place his hand in front of him to stop him. The Pancham turned upwards, frustrated and confused. "Watch." Po turned back towards the Fletchling, although now there was an angry Ratatta trying to attack it. Belle seemed just as confused as to what was happening. Ivan placed his hand on her shoulder. "Now's yer chance. Try and tell it to do something. Like, uh..." He paused for a second, not actually knowing what moves Ratatta knew. "Tackle, or something." He shrugged, crossing his arms. "Who knows, maybe if you're inspiring enough it'll start listening to you. Or, at the very least, stop attacking you."
  17. "Hmm... well, Archer. Now's the time to show your stuff," Archer grinned, twirling his gun out of its holster. "With pleasure." He said, letting out a whistle as he looked at the hulking mass that was the one they call Berserker. "Now ain't ya a big fella." He quipped, following behind the other servant as he pulled out his other gun, twirling it with his left hand. "Good. Means he'll be easier to hit!" As Berserker struck the shield, Archer unleashed a flurry of bullets, firing his pistols in a rhythmic pattern towards Berserker. As he ran out of bullets, he started reloading his guns, turning towards Rider. "S'long as you can keep that there shield up this'll be smooth sailin'." He said, both of his revolvers making satisfying clicking noises as the cylinders snapped back into place with a flick of his wrists, as he prepared to launch another volley of bullets.
  18. Giratina's Lair Team Karaoke For a brief moment, Lok felt his mind escape him as his face was plunged face-first into the murky liquid below. Even after the cool breeze washed over him and cleared his mind, his ears were still ringing from the impact. It took a second for his vision to focus as he felt the grip on his head loosen. He placed his hand on Giratina's arm, unleashing a Thunderbolt directly on the legend's wrist, but that didn't seem to do much of anything. Panicking, he started flailing about, trying to pry himself loose. Through the onslaught of his allies, and another Thunderbolt on her wrist, he was eventually able to get himself free. It helped that Giratina's attention seemed to be on the others now. "Thanks..." Lok said, noticing that Shaymin had changed into their more heroic form. Lok was confused as to why Nine was talking about the ground, before he looked down at all the rubble below him. This was more than enough for him to at least distract Giratina enough for the others to win. Picking up a couple stones off of the ground, Lok ignited his hand with a Hex. Giratina had by now long forgotten about him, as she raised her claw to launch one at Nine. The purple flames flew through the air, hitting Giratina right in the back of the head. Her head almost immediately snapped around to face Lok, her claw unnaturally hurling itself right at Lok with alarming speeds. The claw slammed onto the ground as Lok disappeared into the stone in his hand, The legend let out an annoyed grunt, turning the rest of her body around as Lok seemed to emerge from out of nowhere. With a roar, Giratina let out a wave of dragonic flames, as Lok kicked a stone in the air. With a small blink of light, Lok vanished into the stone in the air, ready to drop on top of Giratina and fire off another Hex. However, Giratina had seemed to start to catch onto Lok's tricks, as she hurled her claw right towards the stone. Lok had no choice but to jump out of the rock as it shattered in the air, crashing onto the ground. Lok let out a grunt, frantically reaching for some rubble next to him as he anticipated Giratina's next move.
  19. Giratina's Lair Team Karaoke As Lok picked himself up, he noted that they had Giratina surrounded. However, their advantage would soon be gone, as he watched Giratina defeat Kayla. The strange black liquid seemed to have some sort of confusing effect to it. Luckily, Lok could float, he thought to himself, as he hovered above the ground. Nine, however, was not as lucky, as he found himself slamming right onto the strange liquid. Through the fighting between his allies, Lok found himself behind Giratina. As Giratina prepared to attack Nine, Lok struck with a Hex aimed at her back. Giratina let out a howl as the Hex struck her, this one hurting more than the previous ones. Without turning her body, her head snapped backwards to face Lok, a wicked grin on her face that sent shivered down Lok's spine. He didn't have his stone anymore, as it was now lost somewhere in the black liquid, and he wasn't about to go looking for it. The rest of her body snapped towards him as one of her claws jutted towards Lok at alarming speeds. The boy barely managed to swerve out of the way as the claw slammed onto the wall, before receding back to her. Clenching his fist, Lok fired off another Hex towards Giratina. She didn't move, instead grinning even more wickedly as smoke started spewing from her mouth. Before Lok even had time to register what was happening, Giratina had already fired her dragonic breath towards Lok, the flames consuming the Hex mid air and barreling towards him. Caught off guard, Lok was sent flying backwards as the flames hit him, causing him to crash into the wall. As he fell, he manged to make himself barely levitate above the murky ooze below, although he didn't have enough time to act as Giratina was already upon him. The legend grabbed him by the head, a mad grin on her face as she tightened her grip on the boy's head. Slowly, she raised Lok up, who was flailing frantically as Giratina let out a cackle. He fired off a Hex in an attempt to be set free, which hit Giratina in the chest but did nothing to stop her as she prepared to dunk the boy into the liquid.
  20. As the two were walking, trying to find the arena, Lucine asked him a question. "So, have you ever tried shark meat before?" Wada stopped in his tracks, turning back around to face Lucine. His face was struck with bewilderment as he spoke. "What's a "Shark"...?" He asked softly, trying to imagine what she was talking about. The two of them kept walking as they continued to talk. Lucine found herself just as bewildered as Wada as he asked her what a shark was. Had this boy never been to the ocean before? The wolf girl paused, trying to think of how to describe these fantastic-tasting creatures to Wada. Her hands went up as if to start explaining... then back down again. Another pause. Then her hands went up again, staying up this time. "They're like fish. But a lot bigger, and with these big sharp teeth!" Lucine pulled back the corner of her mouth to reveal her own pearly whites, pointing at the dangerously sharp among them. "Like these, but thinner." Releasing her mouth from her grip, Lucine made a motion like she was chopping something up on a cutting board, continuing "And you can cut 'em up and cook them like any other fish. Their meat is the best stuff you'll find out at sea! But, it's dangerous to get your hands on it. They've got the teeth and swim really fast; a shark could probably chomp you in half if you aren't careful! And their skin is really rough, and can cut you up real bad if you're not careful handling them. So you should leave catching them to someone with experience. Like me!" "Hmm..." Wada said, placing his hand on his chin. His eyes lit up, as he pointed to the sky. "Oh, so like a Fish Bear!" He exclaimed proudly, before shuddering. "That sounds terrifying!" "They aren't that scary," Lucine reassured. "They don't give anyone trouble unless you mess with them. So just leave them be and you'll be fine." "Oh... just like actual bears!" He said with a wide grin. "These 'Shark' things sounds so cool... I can't wait to see one when we're out there adventuring!" Eventually, through sheer luck, they managed to stumble on their way to the Arena, to find it pack with a bunch of his new colleagues. "I guess everyone else came here to train too, huh?" He said, grinning. "We should go find Lachlan. He should be here by now..."
  21. Raijin was caught off-guard by, well, everything that was occurring. First these strangers bust out real ass goddamn guns, before threatening to start a shootout then and there. And now they had a dude that cam straight of some edge lords deck culling burglars. Raijin had to take a moment to really let what he had just witnessed set in. He turned to everyone else, who seemed way too calm considering what just happened. "How the fuck are you guys this calm about this like my dude didn't just smite these bastards with lightning!?" He exclaimed, turning back towards the Dread Knight. "Shit dude, if ya help us with this the cult's gonna be no deal!" He said, putting his hands in his pockets as he let out an awkward laugh.
