Herc sighed to himself as he looked around the group of hopeful heroes. It seemed that he stood out the most once more, but hey, that was fine. He was used to that. What he was more concerned about was the practical part of the tests. He barely passed the written, so he had to do exceptionally well here so he could leave a good impression. He wouldn't sully the great Beetle Man name! "Today will be the day of the practical. Beyond this gate lies a forest type area, and a city type area. You are free to roam wherever you please, and do as much damage as possible, but your objectives will all be the same. In each area are a limited amount of badges that resemble the U.A. logo. To complete the practical, one must obtain 5 badges and return to the gate before sundown." He then looked to the teens with a sharp look. "It doesn't matter how you get your badges. Just so long as you're here, you'll be permitted to attend U.A." Seemed simple enough. He could probably find them without too much trouble. Was there enough to go around though? Would they have to fight some of the other hopefuls in order to gain admittance? "So if I beat the snot out of some dude with 3 badges, and take 'em, I get in?" A tall girl with a nasty vibe asked. Still, Herc supposed he liked the way she cut to the chase. It was something that needed answering after all. Turns out it was fine, so long as they didn't kill anyone. Guess he couldn't just pile drive his way to victory then. He began to stretch, his hard beetle parts making loud cracking noises as he did. He felt lighter on his feet after doing that at the very least. "Alright everyone, let's make sure to all do our very BEST!" a voice suddenly called out, the voice echoing and causing Herc's ears to ring. "<Son of a bitch, what was that?!>" Herc cursed in English, looking around for the source of the very loud, and annoying noise. He froze a bit, however, as he saw the source of the noise. Some bat-like girl. He didn't know why, but the very look of her filled him with dread. He hoped he didn't have to cross paths with her... before he could give it more thought, someone else decided to do their own cheer. "That's right! Let's all get pumped up for <JUSTICE!>" A blonde girl yelled excitedly, switching to English at the very end. "<Let's go!>" "<justice>" another girl said, much more softly. That was a good start of a great cheer... but it needed a little more. <"Hell yeah, JUSTICE!"> Herc called out, flashing a thumbs up at them. Maybe he would like it here more than he first thought. "Ah, I love the sound of a roaring crowd!" a guy with grey hair loudly proclaimed, stepping a bit ahead. "Let's hope there's some bite to everyone's bark. I'd hate a boring victory!" Herc rubbed his chin as listened to the boy. Too boring huh? Then how about...? "You know, you might be on to something," Herc stepped forward, looking up and down Suda before grinning. "Then why don't we make this a little more interesting?" He spoke as loudly as Suda did, to be sure everyone could hear him. "How about we have a little bet? You and me, last person back here gotta do somethin' real embarrassing," He paused to think. "I dunno, wearing a tutu, eating a unicycle, I dunno, we'll work that out later," He looked over to the rest of the hopefuls. "In fact, why don't we extend this little bet to anyone else who wants to join," He paused for a second more, before moving in for the kill. "That is, of course, unless you're afraid of a bug beating all of ya," This was the best way to weed out the most fun people to play with. "No pressure though,"

Time of Defense Lore Warriors of history lost to the world of myth, becoming tales passed through generations to inspire hope for a better world to come. Their stories have become exaggerated and idolized, that their figures take on the hope that they inspire and so that people could become the figures of which they have been inspired by. The warriors become the figure of fate to inspire people to protect each other against all that come against their way of life. Each one takes arms with each other, to defend and protect while fighting alongside, and to keep the hope that a better world will one day exist. The name of these warriors lost in the sea of history, while the monikers that they take on become the waves that push for a world that all can live and protect each other, alongside each other. It is that the myth of the Fateful Fighters exists to inspire, to live on and bring forth such a world. Their mythos becomes real in the hope of people who take on their journey, those who take on the dream that the warriors of myth have inspired. The Fateful Fighter live again, as figures that people learn to become and strive to fill the space that these stories tell of. Those who take on the name of Fateful Fighter become the warriors that history had lost, pushing forward and returning the myth to history so that it may never be lost again. The warriors lost to history reside in a world of myth only to be born again by those who want to bring their story and message alive. Call their name, become the vehicle to push forth their message. WATER Level 2 [ Aqua / Gemini / Effect ] 800/1000 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the GY. While it is a Normal Monster on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it gain this Effect. ●This card becomes a Level 7 LIGHT Warrior with 2500 ATK and 2000 DEF. Negate the effect of all Special Summoned monsters on the field that have not battled this card as an Effect Monster, and they cannot activate their effects. This card cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's Spell or Trap effects. - - - - - Let's go ahead and try to support one of the things I find more annoying: Floodgates xD A low level toad becomes a prince with protagonist's Ace stats, and says you have to cross swords with it if you wanna get past him. Can be defeated by Normal Summon antics like Exiled Force and as long as you battle with it, it won't matter if he has protection, that'll be enough to make your effect live again, leading the game into Battle Phase antics. That's the idea. This is an old-ish drawing of mine. Thoughts/comments/suggestions/etc. welcomed as always~ Quick edit: unaffected by your opponent's S/T. Stuff to protect him or Catalyst Field should be able to work with it.... fixed xD

A random LINK-2 that allows you to look at a random card in your opponent's hand and banish it for a discard, and offers some protection too, that also moves it, in case you want to keep it around for longer.

pre-test jitters It was barely sunrise when Shoshiki arrived at the testing grounds. He would have left sooner, but decided that walking alone in the dark would be a bit too much for him. It wasn't a big deal, his hotel was only a few blocks away, but Shoshiki decided to play it on the safe side. He was simply being reasonable, nothing more. As far as he could tell, only one girl had arrived before him. She looked distracted, yet determined. Shoshiki figured she was probably friendly enough, but decided not to risk it. Who knows what kind of person could be here, she could have a quirk even grislier than his own. And so Shoshiki Kojin stood almost completely still at the edge of the waiting area, as the rest of the hopefuls arrived. It wasn't long before the gates opened, allowing Shoshiki and the rest of the applicants to make their way in. It seemed the testing ground had both a forest and a cityscape, two environments Shoshiki could only hope he would be able to use to his advantage. As a man in some kind of antique-styled armor explained the test, Shoshiki couldn't help but be distracted by the rest of the entrants, "To get this far…” was that a giant beetle? Did beetles eat meat? One of this size was probably very hungry... “forest type area, and a city type area…” a guy with blue hair and headphones was watching the samurai explain, but looked like he would rather be literally anywhere else... “your objectives will all be the same.” With this, Shoshiki perked up. He should probably pay attention to this part. “In each area are a limited amount of badges that resemble the U.A. logo. To complete the practical, one must obtain five badges and return to the gate before sundown. It doesn't matter how you get your badges. Just so long as you're here, you'll be permitted to attend U.A." Using wording like that is going to make people think we are supposed to fight over these. "So if I beat the snot out of some dude with three badges, and take 'em, I get in?" The question came from an angry-looking, muscular girl, who seemed to be about as tall as Shoshiki himself. Despite her apparent confusion over how many badges she needed, her strategy concerned Shoshiki. He had never really fought before, let alone with someone who had been training their quirk for that purpose for what could be ten years. He felt a terrible sinking feeling inside him as the people surrounding him changed from unknown entities to threats. “...our very BEST!" A loud screech interrupted his thoughts, as Shoshiki quickly pivoted to find its source. As best as he could tell, she had some kind of bat quirk. Wait. Wouldn't that make her a vampire? Was she going to murder Shoshiki and drink his blood as sustenance? The samurai/teacher hybrid had said that they weren't supposed to kill each other, but this was a vampire, do the rules even matter at this point? Even as the vampire was scolded by another scary girl with red hair, Shoshiki still found himself feeling like prey. Even if not literally, everyone around him was determined to get into this school, and Shoshiki standing in their way wasn't going to make them change their minds. He could feel the threads of nerve tissue moving just beneath his skin, his flight or flight response coming on in full force. Should he team up with someone so as to have strength in numbers should they be attacked? Or would that just put him at risk of being betrayed once they had found a total of five badges? As the rest of the would-be students were beginning to socialize, Shoshiki was overcome with fear. Even as he could feel himself shaking from head to toe, he forced himself to take a few deep breaths, before making his way to the least terrifying person he could see, a small girl with silver hair. He reached up to tap her shoulder, but hesitated before he could. She might have acid skin or something, I should be more careful. Averting his vision, he awkwardly scratched at the back of his neck, speaking in such a subdued tone that he was hardly audible, "So, if people are planning to take the badges by force, it might be a better bet to stick together... I don't know you, but, you seemed a bit more pleasant and a bit less violent than the others I see here..."

God of War: Both the hardest and easiest one so far, as her moves are similar to earlier Valkyries. The dive attack sucks though, I feel like it's random if my dodge works, and the lava floor makes it even worse. Sprinting does help, but you don't always have the time.

Taro Tenkara Wake young apprentice! One cannot learn great magic by lounging ab-! click The sound of the Grand Wizard woke Taro from his deep slumber as the dawn of the UA’s practical exams came. Taro wasn’t much of a morning person, but the Wizard is at least right for once. He didn’t take much time to get ready as his parent prepared breakfast before he came downstairs and prepped his attire the night before. He also piled up a bunch of his magic devices to entertain the masses when he had free time afterward. Nevertheless, he left behind most, if not all, of his more advanced items just in case. It was a short walk to UA as he only lived a few blocks away, though the entrance to the school was beginning to pile up with potential students. Taro didn’t expect so many to be taking the exam, though schools that focus on quirks has its attraction, however, the spotlight is yet to be revealed to those who make the cut, and Taro is determined to be in the center of it. As the students were gathered in, two men, an older gentleman and a ninja, greeted the students as the older man described the exam. While it seemed that it was a simple task, it would be a problem when a question about theft was posted that was quickly answered with ‘anything goes’. The crowd began to chatter amongst themselves as those around Taro discussed where they were going, though it suggested that some, if not most of them, will be cherry pickers late-game as they would steal from those with weaker quirks. "It won't matter in the slightest. No one will steal from me, no one ever has or will today!" Taro muttered to himself as a high pitched sound vibrated his being which somewhat softened the chatter among the students who also heard it. "Ah, I love the sound of a roaring crowd! Let's hope there's some bite to everyone's bark. I'd hate a boring victory!" Next to Taro was a silver-haired boy around his height as he radiated confidence in his success from his previous statement. Probably one to watch out for, and the one who asked the theft question is also to watch out for. Taro quickly made a quick mental list of his supplies he brought, maybe hoping he had something up his sleeve for the upcoming assaults that may ensue.

Sure, Lord of Magician seems nice and all, but what really matters is that this means Warrior's Strike R is most likely next. Give me a Phoenix Gearfried retrain, please.

Enjoy, NCMers. They even come with their own scrips to fit them into the story, too! First up, the Guardragons Guardragon's Surveillance Orcust Crusadia Knightmares Mekk-Knights Krawlers AND FINALLY, FOR WORLD CHALICE.... And thus concludes the first set of the BlaDeS of Change Workshop. Reviews, revelry, you know the drill, let's get to spelunking. BD'S, signing off.

Ofc, FedEx requires a signature to deliver my package and they arrive during the 4 hour window that I'm not at home. Didn't even notify me in advance despite opting in for it. That's so lame.

Heya Cat, good to see you too! The project is that I'm revamping an old fic that I was working on, rewriting the early chapters and working on redoing the outline to be more solid overall. The early chapters are what I'm working on right now, and I'm going to write a bit before I start releasing chapters because I don't want to start and then never finish, as long as I have a backlog I'll be able to release regularly without having to worry if I need a couple days off from working on it. The fic itself is Pokemon themed, so it might not be for everyone, but I'll have fun with it at least. :'P you fool, if you shoot me I'll only become stronger, more powerful than you can possibly imagine

Looks solid. It may not pack a built-in protection like beaters want to last a bit longer in nowadays' formats, but the Battle Phase stun and the big potential damage it can put on board should make up for it. Please consider giving it Dragon as its original Type, and make it a Zombie by effect, so Zombies can have Dragon's Mirror as a tech option. The revival effect can be improved by not making it not miss timing. ("If...: You can").

God of War: I thought the last Valkyrie was hard, but man did this kick my ass. I think my main problem was the shield as she sometimes does a lunge attack, but I can't tell if it's gonna be the blinding one. Learned that guard break can stop the block though, so that helped a lot.

I got Super Mario Oddysey for my birthday, just got it now since my mom lives far away, and now I am wondering, I still have Galaxy in my backlog, so which do I play first. Also, is it really a 50 hour game for completionists? That is crazy to me.

Getting up in the morning had hardly been a problem for Yuuka. She had merely figured what time would be the best to wake up to get through her morning routine and set an alarm for then. Having gotten up just when she should, the girl had made her way to school, and arrived with some time to spare before their exam had actually begun. As such, it did her good to see that there were those even more ready and on time then her, and so she simply smiled brightly and contentedly, awaiting their exam time to start. Standing around, the girl simply looked and studied the two instructors before her, head to toe while listening to the directions they provided. "Oh, this might be some trouble," the girl merely muttered to herself. While she had her own concerns as to how to approach this test, to her great pleasure it had seemed that there were a large majority of other heroes to be that did not. Though there was some to be desired she glanced from student to student as they talked to each other, stretching herself out as she was instructed to do so all the while. Two girls who definitely had the confidence and physicality to be a hero, though definitely lack in the tact of one. One girl who - Yuuka winced - definitely had the energy levels of one. A boy, Shiba Yuudai, who seemed to have proper manners. And then there were two other girls in particular that managed to catch her attention. Both being full of spirit and a certain righteous quality that set them apart from the others so far. The girl merely smiled in glee, wondering just what the test had in store for them, while also looking forward to seeing more of her classmates. Turning her attention to the blonde haired girl, she merely raised her own fist into the air with a smile on her face echoing, "<justice>" in a much more subdued tone than the girl's, but still in English all the same.

BGM Diana arrived at the campus before the sun even began to rise, waiting for the rest of the applicants to arrive. Living on the farm for the past year and some had really gotten her used to waking up early, so this was nothing to her. After all, early to bed, early to rise, and all that Ben Franklin jazz. She spent the time watching the passers by and squeezing a stress ball in her right hand. As people began to arrive, other than those who showed up early like her, she pulled out a bag and ate a simple egg sandwich, making sure to be done by the time the doors opened. Watching the duo emerge, Diana stood at attention, excitement brimming. "To get this far, you must have already passed the written test." Diana groaned as the memories came rushing back. It wasn't that she didn't know the information the written tests required, but she scarcely had time to pen it down. Hell, she probably wouldn't have had enough time with the exam in English, much less Japanese. Today will be the day of the practical. Beyond this gate lies a forest type area, and a city type area. You are free to roam wherever you please, and do as much damage as possible, but your objectives will all be the same. In each area are a limited amount of badges that resemble the U.A. logo. "So if I beat the snot out of some dude with 3 badges, and take 'em, I get in?" "Alright everyone, let's make sure to all do our very BEST!" Everyone around Diana seemed to be excited. Loud yells, boastful statements, and more! Even if one of those was a bit more lingo based than she expected, she loved seeing and feeling the crowd's excitement. "That's right! Let's all get pumped up for <JUSTICE!>" The blonde girl yelled excitedly, switching to English at the end as shoved her right hand in the air with her index finger pointing upward. Pulling her arm down, she adjusted her hair into a ponytail at the nape of her neck, her purple eye gleaming in the bright sunlight. "<Let's go!>"
