Ari took a sip of his drink. Milk was really good. If only more of the places they'd been to were as friendly as this. He wouldn't mind staying just a little bit longer-- "It's kind of boring." Mac disagreed with a sigh. "There's not enough going on. Even with, you know, that stuff with Tornadus." "You always have to have something going on, don't you?" Ari shook his head sagely at her. "Don't you know no news is good news?" He paused. "Or something like that..." Hearing what Trish said, about a river leading to a lake leading to sightings of a legendary, made the Litleo groan slightly. "One, two..." Mac stood up. "There!" She said. "That's where we're going next! Come on guys, did you hear that, another Legend! We gotta check it out!" "Knew it," he muttered. "Okay, okay, we're going then." He glanced at Kazo. "Right, Kazo?" His gaze was questioning. What if Kazo was staying here? He said he'd be going with them, but maybe he felt homesick now? Ari wouldn't blame him for that one bit. "W-well, unless you want to stay here?" he tried to smile, but it came out a little shaky. -- Easter blinked at the Emboar when she hesitated to answer right away. What's wrong with her? She wants Dora to get in danger? Then it hit him. Where Dora went, Brooke would go too. So if Dora didn't come with, then... Ah. For some reason, that thought made him more uncomfortable than expected. He should be grateful to separate from a kid who was just tying him down and preventing him from unleashing his full strength, right? Whenever he fought now, he had to keep one eye out for Dora and the others too. But then again, they had helped him out too. It was almost like when he was back on the S.S. Showdown... So maybe he didn't actually want to separate from the others, not even Dora. Which was stupid, because he knew that it was dangerous for her to join the fight, but...well, he felt what he felt. He wouldn't make any excuses for his emotions, but he also wasn't sure what to do about them. What was the best course of action here? But he also knew, regardless of what he felt, they would all split up in the end. Denku had a brother to find, and Brooke and Dora, well...they had a life to live, a peaceful one, and if there was one thing Easter knew, his presence did not bring peace to anybody. More like chaos. When Manaphy was about to leave, Brooke shouted at her. She sounded a lot more frustrated than Easter expected, but he couldn't exactly blame her for it either. They had almost lost Dora trying to retrieve Manaphy's own child. The legendary's reply, however, was cause for thought. That they had weakened...if so, then him defeating all the legends he had defeated, was that a testament to his own strength or to how much the mighty had fallen? Either way, if they couldn't keep their positions at the peak, then they didn't deserve to stay there. Except he didn't have much time to think more on that, as a group of rough-looking gijinka appeared, one of which looked very familiar. "How about you hand her over and we'll just be on our way, okay?" "Hmph, that's not happening," the fairy type scoffed. Charging up a ring of pink stars around him, he grinned maliciously at the Dragalge. "Even children learn from their mistakes, but it looks like you're even less than a child, huh? Allow us to drill this lesson into your head once more." He released the stars, sending them toward the Carvanha. "You might not even need a cheat sheet then." -- As Keanu trembled on the ground, he heard the voice of the Terrible One from above. "You know I can't put a curse on you, right?" She paused to take a bite of food. "Some Mimikyus can, but it's something you're born with that gets inherited from your parents." The Pikachu stopped trembling. "R...really?" he peeked up, then blanched when he realized that, at this angle, he could see--no. No, he didn't see anything at all. Curling up into a ball, he moaned. "Ugh...why me...?" "Plus, what would Randy and Marie think if I did something like that for a reason as vain as 'he saw my face'?" Yes! Randy! Marie! Please come and save me! "Yes, yes, ahahah," he laughed. "Yeah, Randy and Marie wouldn't be very happy, would they? And you know, Randy when he gets mad he's pretty stubborn, and so is Marie. Honestly, they both get really troublesome when that happens, so uhh...yeah, don't do anything they wouldn't approve of and...stuff," he trailed off lamely. He was glad that the Trailsau residents were too busy laughing and joking with each other to notice just how uncool he was being right now. But he couldn't help it. Nani was scary! Ugh, he really needed a nap right about now. A long one. One where he could just forget that this ever happened, that he ever saw...that. -- "Well, between all of us here, you have no group more experienced at dealing with legends and legendary-class people. So, no matter how formidable this legend may be, we shall come out victorious against it." Nine boasted. "We've been through a lot as a group... Not to undersell Giratina or you or anything!" Lok said, chuckling nervously. "...but we can do this. I'm sure of it." "I...know it's...scary...um, thank you." "R-really?" Shaymin's eyes brightened. "That's a relief. I'm glad I have such experienced and worthy gijinka with me, even if you are..." She shook her head and smiled shyly. "With you all here, even if it's scary, I..." she looked down, and started to shake, "W-well, e-even so, I-I," she clenched her fists, "I'll be strong too," she nodded. "I'll try, anyway." And that's when Gwen finally joined the group. At seeing her, Shaymin started to shake even more, but she managed to stay in one place, listening intently. "We should leave within the hour. I'm...going to see my family, before we go, you're all free to do what you wish. We'll meet back together and set out after that." The legendary would spend that time standing at the edge of the village, her gaze distant and a little sad. When the hour passed, she rejoined the others, and followed them out of town to one of the many cave entrances scattered along the area. "Well...er, suppose you're up, Shaymin." The Mismagius stood to the side, giving the legendary space to maneuver. "O-oh really? O-o-okay..." she looked down, then looked back up at them and smiled nervously. "U-um...we could just...go back?" she cringed. "N-no? U-um...okay." BGM The woman took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and clasped her hands together in prayer. The group would be able to see what looked like clouds of smog rushing toward her, gathering into the flowers in her hair. The flowers turned black as soot, and, eyes still closed, the legendary stepped forward, raising her hands. Her body began to glow a bright, verdant green, and she pushed her hands forward against the entrance of the cave. The light grew blinding enough that the group would have to turn away. But even if they couldn't see, they could feel the tremors of various shockwaves passing through their bodies, and hear a sound like glass shattering. The light finally died at that, and once the group's eyesight came back, they would see the legendary looking back at them. In that moment it was as if a different person looked through her eyes, her mouth in a grave line. The flowers in her hair blooming a vivid rose against the backdrop of the pitch-black cavern. The white dress she wore shone like a star in the dark. "It is done," her voice rang out with a solemn cast. The air seemed to have shifted as well. The energy from before was gone, but a pressure of sorts emanated from the cave in front of them, as if they had punched a hole in a vacuum. The woman's expression changed shortly afterward, and it was as if the previous visage was a lie. "Uwaawaa," she cried out, hunching over and beginning to tremble, "I forgot...how scary it is, being here..."

Actually, that is the example I used. The original take was actually based on the original effect before the version I posted initially, so I figured this would be the most sensible way based on the Decklist I had for the character in said fic. I also noticed that with every time I have written in Desponea, I always based it on having the exact number of DARK monsters, so I am going to change the requirement instead of equal or lower to be just equal. So if you have 3 DARKs, you need to banish a Level 3. This allows for some Graveyard control mechanics, which can be managed through the effects of the Dark Counterparts themselves and thus tying it all together into a coherent Deck. I will be updating it in just a minute alongside the art, I only just got back home from work off a 10 hour shift (Thankfully I am off tomorrow). EDIT: Text and art are updated

pretty much agree with with the others. way easy to summon, easy stat gain (like 4 types will grant you 2800 immune to monster effect turn 1, remember we still have Danger!), search effect is unnecessarily convoluted but also at its flip side it can still search large pool of cards multiple times given its a soft once per turn AND can also search another copy of its self which while being level 10 has not much to interact but the option available is pretty strong arguably, if the original intent is to support "Dark Counterpart" series the " Exact Same Level" clause on search effect is backfired the deck building given the series diverse Levels some suggestion: Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Cannot be Special Summoned except by its own effect. While this card in your hand and all Monster you control and in your GY is DARK and has different type(s): You can Banish 2 or more non-Token DARK monster you control whose its total Level equal or higher than the number of DARK Monster in your GY; Special Summon this card. This card gain (~, as long its lower than your current ones) ATK for each type among DARK Monster in your GY. (same immunity effect, for now). You can Banish up to 3 DARK Monster from your field, hand, and/or GY, add 1 "Dark" Monster with different type but has Level equal or lower than the Banished Monster(s) from your Deck to your hand. You cannot Special Summon Monster with same category as that monster during the turn you use this effect except monster with different types. You can only use each effect of (this card name) once per turn. "category" wording is probably the most experimental part of this suggestion but its exist with https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Onomatopaira this should partially prevent archetypal "Dark" other than "Dark Counterpart" like Dark Magician and Darklords whose tend to have same traits like Typing

Indeed, you could make a mill-based deck and this would only require a couple of DARKs in the GY to be live, but the rest could be non-DARKs, increasing the number of different types in the GY to reach scary ATK numbers. Then, as long as you keep the low-Level DARKs coming, you can spam this. It would make a bit more of sense to me if it instead required a monster with a Level equal or higher than the # of DARKs in the GY.

Not a fan of the card. It has a couple of red flags, starting with the translation differences of "Dark" for a keyword, then the ability of milling a Dark monster from the ED to search for a non-Fiend or Machine Dark is oddly specific, convoluted and missing flavor since I don't get how, for example, would Cyberdarkness be associated with REDMD, and finally the lack of hard OPTs, which allows you to Summon her multiple times a turn, and get a search for each, at the expense of ED space. As if that wasn't enough, the condition of banishing a monster with Levels equal or lower than the # of DARKs in GY is odd, as it allows the use of Low-Level monsters to access her, and can turn them into beaters if your GY diversity is big enough. In short, the card is convoluted, not only due to the translation issues on "Dark", also the effects are rather controversial. Even with a much needed hard OPT, I would still have second thoughts on the search effect.

Decided I had enough time on my hands to figure out what this can search with its last effect. Some of the more relevant ones: Cyberdarkness Dragon (Level Ten) => REDMD Dark Paladin (Level Eight) => Darkest Diabolos LotL, DMoC, and LaDD Dark Strike Fighter (Level Seven) => Dark Magician/Magician of Dark Illusions, Dark Simorgh, and DAD Masked HERO Dark Law (Level Six) => DMG Dark Baltar the Terrible (Level Five) => Kozmoll Dark Lady and Thunder Dragondark Darkfire Dragon (Level Four) => Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm and Dark Grepher

So you want to Equip Cards during your opponent’s turn? IGAS-JP077 アームズ・コール Arms Call (Armory Call) Normal Trap Card You can only activate this card’s name once per turn. (1) Add 1 Equip Spell Card from your Deck to your hand, then you can equip it to a monster you control that can equip with that card. Source: https://ygorganization.com/maybesummonedarmory/

Some of you may remember who I am, some of you may not Some of you may revere me, some of you may view me as a devil Some would say I have change, some would say I have not It has been plenty long, and to me all that matters is I see you all and I give my long awaited introduction back! A good word to Reddit for linking me to this, some days I think about using it for once..... Alas, times have changed, and I am curious to see what is to come of this new place Greetings to all, new and old! I look forward to interacting with you plenty

Yeah, no damage step shenanigans. Also I'm just noticing that it doesn't let you equip to opponent's monsters (so no Axe of Fools, Duston Mop, etc.). I'm curious if this bypasses equips with activation conditions (Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce). Some good targets: D.D.R. Saqlifice Moon Mirror Shield Evil Eye Stuff Raptinus' Supreme Magicblade Raising Fire Maybe "Autonomous Action Unit" too. Vylons become a bit stronger. I dunno how much this benefits Noble Knights (never got around to really using that deck). Also it benefits all those decks with in-archetype Premature Burials (Monarchs, Rokkets, Predaplant, Trickstar, Spyral, Blue-Eyes, Karakuri, Photon/Galaxy, and Morphtronics).

Such is the nature and the curse of being the Typecast Shonen Protagonist, my dear Bovine. Favorite? Well, I have two at the present (and I think you can qualify the first as shonen): Katekyo Hitman Reborn - This here was pretty much the start of everything for me, especially when I was starting on YCM. This anime influenced me something fierce and the whole concept was amazing! Mafioso, supernatural powers in the form of different colored flames, gun-toting babies, time-travel? This thing had it all! And I loved every moment of it...though was thoroughly pissed when they stopped it shortly after the end of the Future Final Battle Arc, even though the manga kept going. Even more upset when they have yet to dub it...but oh well...I suppose it wasn't meant to be. My Hero Academia - Yes, it's still going...but damnit, this anime is amazing to me! I've always been about the heroes and protagonists in a story, but the fact of the matter being that this show has a plethora of heroes of all shapes, sizes, and powers along with interesting villains that also come in a variety...mix that in with some good story telling and actual character development on certain characters (soooooo looking forward to the Kirishima development part of Season 4)...what isn't to like about this? Plus, I adore the easter egg of a good portion of MHA's locations being based off of Star Wars planets...yeah I'm a nerd like that. Now...least favorite...hmmm...most recently I don't recall seeing any shonen anime I've absolutely not liked. ...well, save for Sword Art Online, but that goes without saying...EVERYONE hates SAO.

The last problems I see will essentially be based on your preference on how want to handle them. The Summoning condition needs to be reworked, and maybe the way how it gains ATK could be a little more exclusive than just different Typing (if you are going to keep that monster immunity effect)... For example: While this card is face-up on the field, it gains 700 ATK for each DARK monster with a different type in the GY, also it is unaffected by the effects of other monsters. You don't have to use this example though.

TL;DR: TCG/OCG would have to overhaul some names they made... So that this card wouldn't be wall of text. Now onto the matter of this cards hypothetical viability. Initially, it does already look like it needs some GY set-up to make it as beefy as you need it to be... But, then I read that it could be any Typing of monsters in the GY which makes it really easy to boost this cards ATK as in this day and age there are some splashable Extra Deck engines (namely Knightmare/Orcust engines) that can literally vomit out different typings in the GY provided they go off . And getting a DARK monster in the GY whose Level is equal to or just under the Level DARK monster you have in the GY is actually not as hard as you think it is... You could throw in Level 1 DARK monsters in the GY like Thousand-Eyes_Restrict summoned from Instant Fusion or easy to Summon Level 1 DARK like Jester_Confit and never have to worry about fueling your GY with DARK all that much. Also the fact that you can get it out from the hand or the GY in the form of Quick Effect with no hard once per turn... Is pretty broken. Especially if this thing has immunity to monster effects. It is like everything Fairy_Tail_-_Snow would aspire to be.... And that is saying something. Considering how broken that thing is. And then I looked at the search effect after reading Darj's post... And yeah there is no hard once per turn... Let alone a soft once per turn there either. Which means you can search indefinitely provided you have the resources. Which in short is broken. In all it needs to be toned down in probably more ways than one.

Market Square After Citron left the pile of fruit near the stall, she would notice the hare from earlier pick up the fruit and put it in a box with the other fruit. While the creature still looked hopping mad, it was no longer stamping its feet on the ground every few seconds. It gazed up at her for a few seconds before it twitched its nose and turned away. Immediately after, it was set upon by a ferocious, terrifying--well, a wolf cub anyway. The hare let out a brief scream of fear before hopping away from the wolf. -- Acantha's House The beaver nodded again at Gunther's words, and approached the red-haired man. The man strained at his bonds, and then once she was there, lipped at her head for a second before snorting in disappointment. It made for...quite an odd picture. “This… Isn’t normal around here, is it?” "Village of animals is a first, but I'd say it's about normal for us." "I'm starting to wonder if I fell asleep at the castle and have been dreaming since." Privately, Catriona agreed. This journey had been quite unbelievable so far. "Alois has recognized one of the villagers who was turned into a dog. His own dog was turned into a human. And now, Cora has recognized that this beaver is a villager as well. And her horse has been turned into a human." She felt a headache coming on. "And since we can assume nobody had a pet beaver, and Alois does not recognize any of these animals, we know that there hasn't been any body swapping. We can assume going off of the pattern so far, that human villagers were turned into animals and animal villagers were turned into humans." Why couldn't this have been a normal village? At least the others seemed enthusiastic on solving this issue, though the way they expressed it was...interesting. "This is no time for sleeping, no no! We've gotta make sure of all the animals get fluffy again!" "I suppose it would be cruel to leave the animals as humans... We should at least try to help them." Why does it seem like they care more about the animals turned human than the humans turned animals? Catriona shook her head in bemusement. The lord inspected the door to Acantha's house. While it was closed, there was a large hole in the bottom, large enough to fit... She glanced down at the beaver, who was currently patting the man's nose. Opening the door revealed a messy-looking interior. Chairs had been knocked over, earthenware plates shattered on the floor, and the dirt floor was scoured with claw marks. After a brief circuit of the house, and, finding nothing, Catriona shook her head. "It does not seem that there are any clues to be found here. And now we need to figure out where we are going next." She looked at the others. Edrick chose that moment to approach. "Catriona. I still think we need to investigate the chapel in town. With the way things have been going it's obvious that The Goddess has set herself against-" he paused, "you." He continued speaking, looking a little troubled. "So, even if whoever did this to the townspeople wasn't a follower of hers we might still find answers in there. Plus the possibility that this was done by one of the faithful is... too great to ignore." Catriona stared at the boy before speaking. "You may be correct," she said slowly. "Though according to Alois, it is not a chapel, but rather a town hall. Still," she shook her head. "We tried the doors earlier and they were locked. I doubt we'd be able to enter the building lest one of us can pick locks." She glanced at the fighter. "Alois said earlier that if we were looking to get into the town hall, then the mayor's house would be the best place to look." She looked at the group. "Then, unless there are any arguments, I suggest investigating the mayor's house." Without waiting for a reply, the white-haired woman began to leave the house. The beaver--or rather, Acantha, if what Cora said was true, quickly caught up and ran in front. Following the animal once more, Catriona glanced back at Alois and Cora to make sure they were headed the right way, but it seemed that they were. The group headed back to the square, where Link would have the opportunity to pick Rohns back up if he so wished. Immediately after, they followed the beaver across the square toward the town hall, and almost seemed as if that were their destination, but for the beaver veering to the side at the last minute, and stopping in front of another house. This house, while similarly made to the other houses, was quite a bit bigger than them, though still not as big as the gaudy-looking house they had passed by before. While the base was stone, most of the actual house was made of wood, with a timber roof truss packed with straw. The design looked slightly swooping, with the top ridge beams ending in axehead overhangs, save two, on opposing ends, carved in the shape of what looked to be open-mouthed wyvern heads. Unlike most of the other houses, there was a porch of sorts at the front, with a walkway going up to a large oaken door. The porch wrapped around the sides of the house, falling down to another walkway at the right side. On the left side was another door. "Is this the place then?" Catriona asked, glancing at Alois. Her attention was redirected by Acantha, who was standing in front of the main door. Approaching the door herself, the woman attempted to open it, but found it locked. However, she noticed a large hole in the bottom of the door, which the beaver had already crawled through. Not too long after, a stream of angry chitters came from the other side before she heard a slight click, and shortly afterward, a thump. The lord tried the door once more, and this time, it opened. Pushing it forward cautiously, the woman looked down to see the beaver standing in front of her, fist raised triumphantly, before it, or she, skittered out of the way. Blinking, the woman resumed opening the door, and looked inside. The inside of the house, while simple, was still slightly more lavish than the other houses they had been to. It had actual floors for one, a mixture of wood tiling and cobblestone. The walls were wooden, though the ceiling was a mixture of wood frame and straw filling. The furniture lacked the rough edges of other furniture she had seen here. Overall, it seemed a pleasant enough place. But they weren't here as guests. They were here to investigate. "We should start searching. We might be able to find something here." OOC

"Will girls also get big muscles or we get thinner muscles? The control harness in my mech was already custom fit and refitting it not easy." Jax looked to the girl who had said it and pointed a finger at her, striking a dramatic pose. "If your mech can't handle a POWERFUL BOD it just means your mech needs to ALSO GET BUFF!" He proclaimed, without any hint of joke in his voice. "Haha, Mr Benton is pretty popular it seems." Mr John said, chuckling to himself. "But I guess he does have a rather EXPLOSIVE personality doesn't he?" He paused. "I guess that pun doesn't work well if you don't know about his mech..." "It doesn't work even if you do, trust me." Malkin said. Then she called out. "You kids got anything else for us? Or can we get outta here. I've got some shit to do, don't have all day to spend on you guppies gawking at us." --- "Makes you wonder why he's here, though. Method acting?" Kelsey shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes. "Whatever the reason I'm sure it's to make himself look good. God, look at these girls, fawning over him like that." The trio could feel glares on them as Kelsey spoke, quite loudly. "well. What about you Kellz? You excited to learn more about all that mech combat stuff?" "Oh heck yeah!" Kelsey said. "Teacher seems like a hardass but I bet I can handle it just fine. Can definitely do better than that Wester guy at least." The glares became even more intense as Kelsey, only half unintentionally, raised her voice to match their intensity. --- As Sammi made her way out she would realize the field was much larger than she had first thought. It was almost as if a field designed for mechs would be difficult for one to travel on foot. Though it was a wide open expanse without anything between her and the end so it wasn't particularly difficult of a trek. There was also a bird. With bright blue feathers and a forked beak. It was digging at the field with the confidence and purpose of an animal that didn't know it was just there to provide a bit of flavor and to stretch out an otherwise dull and pointless section in the story of one's life.

Melissa smiled. Which caused Gabriella to smile. In a wonderful contagious effect. It seemed she didn't mind being dragged along as she was. Which was good because Gabriela didn't really know any other way to go about this. “I do- I probably need to meet up with some other friends at some point, just to say hi -- I think you’ve met some of them too, so it shouldn’t be too awkward, I hope. Um, but we can stay here for now. There’s a whole night ahead of us to do all that other stuff.” Something about the idea of "meeting my friends" made this whole thing feel a bit more...intimate to Gabby. In a nerve-wracking, but exciting, way. What would her friends think of her going to this place with another girl? And could she keep up her front while being watched by a group who no doubt would be closely watching her. If they're her friends they must be worried about anyone that had gotten close to her right? "Ah, that would be no issue. Indeed the more who get to meet my royal self the better. I must get examples from all sorts of people in this land after all. And...I would have to meet them eventually, anyway. If we are going to have, er, extended...correspondence." Her attitude trailed off into a more awkward realm near the end. Trying to distract from it she looked towards where the duel was going to be held. "Do you know much about those two that will be dueling? They are in my club but I only briefly met them. Hiraku and..." She didn't actually know the name of his opponent. She had seen him, surely, in the club. A rather common face and a hazy presence was all she could remember. "and the other one."

With the gnolls around her going for yet another follow up attack on her, the girl brought her shield up to deflect the axe blade coming for her neck. As she did, the girl pivoted around the gnoll, with the other two that had struck at her having either missed their swing or bounced off her armor. With blade in hand, the girl swung her scimitar at the gnoll in front of her, though the gnoll had managed to use his axe deflect her clumsy swing away with the rest of his companions beginning to circle around. Continuing to press forward, Ryia again swung her blade, though the pain in her side caused her awkward slash to veer away from the gnoll and slashing nothing but more air. Thankfully, as the gnolls continued to strike at her, their axes as well either swung at nothing or simply bounced off of her. With the gnoll in front of her swinging one more time, the girl was growing frustrated and simply brought up her shield to block against the attack. Pressing forward, she awkwardly swung at the beast's side again, though only managed to a light cut against them. Stepping backward, now swarmed once again, the girl furrowed her brow and got ready for the gnolls around her to attack again. There was one in front of her, one to her left, and two to her right. Getting ready for yet another attack from the gnolls, the one to her left began to giddily snarl and laugh at the same time before running forward to strike at her with its axe. Seeing this, Ryia merely did a small step back, though the gnoll was very excited to carve into Ryia. So excited that it kept moving forward at the same speed, charging right through where she was and smashing into the gnoll to her right. This, in turn, caused the gnoll to domino down into the third one, causing all three to fall flat on the ground. Both Ryia and the only gnoll still standing were left dumbfounded at this supreme display of dexterity. Yet, all the same, the girl recollected herself and went for a slashing, killing the gnoll on top of the pile as she cleaved into its back. This, unfortunately, left her arm open and she winced in pain yet again as her arm buckled down from the axe that had now struck into her. Fighting through it still, Ryia slashed back at the gnoll, carving deeper into it as the other two gnoll began to get back up from their prone position. As the gnoll in front of her went for one last slash, Ryia simply batted the axe away with her shield before going for one last slash into the chest of the gnoll, slaying it. With only two gnolls left, Ryia began to turn around, only to feel two sudden blades strike into her back. "Gah," letting out a pained grunt, the girl stumbled forward. Her breath getting a bit more ragged from the injuries she had sustained, the girl simply turned around to face the gnolls.
