Octavia»»————-　♡　————-«« It didn't seem like anyone was there at first, aside from some vague noises coming from the direction of the kitchen. Thanks to her earlier trip for snacks, she felt fairly confident that was where those noises were coming from, at least, that general direction. It wasn't too much to assume someone wanted a snack, right? She let out a little sigh of relief as she was about to shut the door behind her, but... There was someone outside of their door. Octavia couldn't really place who that was near the end of the hallway, only the general size of it and... That it wasn't really paying any attention to her. She slipped out of the room just a bit to get a closer look at the figure, only to notice how absolutely pale it was... And that it looked like a young girl. It definitely wasn't one of the others, she didn't look a thing like anyone else here. She was almost comically out of place. It was only when Octavia got close enough to notice that she could see through the girl that she started to back away a bit, her legs shaking a little bit. And then the girl walked through a wall, leaving Octavia alone... Though not for long as she let out a loud gasp and quickly ran back towards the door to the room she was staying in. She quickly slammed the door behind her, possibly waking up Shannon as she let out a loud squeak, "This place is haunted! Get up, get up, get up!" She leaned against the door as she took a deep breath, her eyes closing for a moment as she grumbled, "I-I saw this weird pale girl walk through a wall, she just poofed on through it! She was wearing a weird dress, it definitely didn't fit in here! This sorta thing isn't supposed to happen. How can this place be haunted but Hearthome be totally-not-haunted with everything that happened there?" Her voice was going a mile a minute as she rambled, her arms crossed with her hands rubbing at her upper arms slowly, "Oh god. I heard some of the others I think, they were in the direction of the kitchen. Are they okay? Do you think they might be in trouble?"

Reinaan had two of the gnoll fighters coming at his front from two different angles. Spears were readied and forward, looking to skewer the boy's chest from both sides. In an attempt to not get caught in the middle of this the Draken took a large step to the right and wound the halberd behind his back. With a full swing he aimed to take the right of the two gnoll's head clean off but the beastman was fast enough that the blade of the axe missed, instead having Reinaan slam the shaft of his weapon into its neck. This blow was still fierce enough to knock the gnoll off to the side. With it's throat injured it struggled to breathe let alone stand for a moment. However the other gnoll was still on target and managed to just barely pierce the Fire Chosen's side with the tip of its spear. It seemed the amulet the boy had bought was proving helpful after all, or else the creature just wasn't very strong. But still, it wasn't a pleasant feeling as the draken's body twitched at the wound. "You wanna play, huh?" the reptile more snarled than spoke to the gnoll as he relinquished one his hand's grips on his halbered and grasped his assailant by the neck. Reinaan began squeezing with all his strength as the gnoll in kind attempted to deepen the wound of his spear. However the draken won and soon the boy's claws pierced the flesh and began digging into the insides of the thing's throat. As it struggled in pain the Fire Chosen inhaled deeply and blasted a stream of fire right in the thing's face for a few seconds, thoroughly charring its face and, combined with the neck injuries, took its life. The gnoll that had received the blow to the neck meanwhile was rushing in again but it was clearly in no condition to continue the battle. Its strike was poorly placed and its spear merely glanced off of Reinaan's scales. The boy released the enemy he'd just killed to turn his focus here while also ripping the spear from out of his side. At the same time his other hand was choking up on his halberd. With a swift strike downward the axe struck into the gnolls shoulder and lobbed the arm clean off. With the injuries it had sustained, the creature made no resistance as Reinaan plunged the spear end of his halberd into his chest, piercing the heart or close enough to it. The gnoll fell to the earth dead. With blood near covering him, Reinaan took another moment to just breathe from the exertions of fighting off these waves of gnolls. Things were still going on around him but it was already clear what he needed to do next. Keres only had him nearby enough to help and there were still four gnolls close to her. The moments of collecting himself seemed to drag out for ages in his mind under the adrenaline of the situation but he soon readied his halberd in both hands and turned himself about to run off to the Water Chosen's aid. "That's right! Dance with me!" Ziiyol meanwhile called out as the hesitant gnolls attempted to avoid her flames and discern their source. Creatures and their fear of fire ever fascinated her and so a brilliant new idea came into her mind. With another burst of flame she made herself visible to even the gnolls, wondering how they might react to more fire and her appearance in general. Still her dance continued as flames flew off of her fans out in front of her.

Looking back to Shiro the girl nodded saying, "okay, I can do that!" As Penelope had then congratulated the group, Tsetseg's face brightened with a prideful smile as she got up off of her knees on the ground to standing back up. Walking through the house, and tip toeing past the red liquid that was across the ground the girl then looked to Shiro again as he was standing at the door. With a thumbs up as if to indicate that she definitely had this under control, the girl placed the key into the lock. As the girl had felt like in a past life, or maybe even her current life but different, that she was great with locks, there was no way she could possibly lose against this door lock. And her confidence was answered, as she turned the key, and unsurprisingly it unlocked the door. With a look of pride on her face, and then smiling brightly she nodded excitedly at the frog protean. Shouting to the others, the girl exclaimed, "it opened!" Walking down the stairs, the girl found herself in a dark cellar, lit only by a few lamps shining in the room. As she slowly walked down the stairs, the girl looked around the room, marveling at all of the different kinds of food and smells that seemed to be down here. Walking around the the room, the girl eventually saw behind the staircase a strange furry creature in the corner of the room. As she walked towards it, and crouched down, it became apparent that the furry creature was none other than a rat that was just sitting there. Unfazed, the girl smiled and said, "hello hello there little guy. What're you doing down here?" Alois meanwhile had merely watched the young archer go about her business before turning back to Cat. With a smile on his face, he said, "oh no, I've got this all under control." Raising his axe, the boy brought the axe down with half strength as he struck the lid of the crate. The crate's lid didn't seem to be particularly sturdy, and as a result Alois managed to break through it easily. Thankfully, as well, he hadn't put his all into the swing, and so he had managed to stop his axe blade just short of cleaving through a collection of papers that were stored inside. Raising an eyebrow at this, Alois merely said, "now what's this here?" Picking up the papers, the boy began to look through them. His attention was briefly distracted by Penelope's comment, feeling something off with it. However, before he could think any more on it, he noticed something greatly off about the papers in his hand. The papers themselves just seemed to be a manual of sort of trial, which then ended with a ritual to achieve a title. While the boy was confused by the unfamiliar terms, his eyes went wide as he looked at the list of names that seemed to be at the end of this document. Turning around, papers in hand, the boy walked over to Cora and her friendly beaver. "Well, you only need one to see this." Placing the manual on the trials and ritual known as the Awakening the boy said, "so, Cora, Acantha," his eyes seemed more focused on the beaver then the girl. "You two wouldn't happen to know what a Caller is, would you?"
