Hey all, so I was thinking about all of the different Roleplays (RPs) that are on this site, and how confusing it might be for a new person to navigate through all of that. I thought it might be helpful for them to just have a place to go to quick reference what all the active RPs are, who's accepting, etc. So without any further ado, here's the list. For the sake of people looking for RPs to join, I'm also going to include new interest checks and out-of-character threads (OOCs) that haven't yet started or closed out, which do not need the "accepting" label as they are, of course, accepting. These will be at the very top. For prospective hosts, I would appreciate if you would either let me know or announce it in the thread if you decide to close an interest check or OOC due to lack of interest on either yourself or the RPers' parts. If you do not, I will give the interest check or OOC three months without you having made an in-character thread (IC) before declaring it inactive and taking it off the list. If you find that there are any discrepancies, such as members not being in the RP anymore, or an RP being tagged wrong, please let me know either through Discord or here. If you want to know when this was last updated, just check the very bottom of this post. Credit to various people such as LordCowCow, Saikazo, Skaia, Cheshire Toon, and Yui for their help. Without them, this list wouldn't be nearly as extensive or thorough. Melissa wondered if she was supposed to continue the thread of the “next date” while still in the middle of the first one or not. It seemed… off? Somehow? Like, she could understand talking about when they were supposed to meet next at the end, in front of one of their dorms or something, but when there was still so much more time left in the night? Ignoring everything else (and there was a lot of else -- for example, that had to be in the upper echelons of social faux pas, right?), she was worried that one of them might forget by the time the night was over. Gabriela, thankfully, soon after pivoted back to the duel, deftly guiding Melissa’s attention back to, you know, the thing they were actually supposed to be looking at. “Is he really going to rely on something like that?” she said. “A tactic like that is the absolute worst.”You would even cast lots for the fatherless and barter away your friend. -Job 6:27 (NIV) Melissa didn’t know what to think about Graceful Skull Dice, actually. Jun seemed pretty quick to accept it as part of Yushiro’s strategy, but that was Duel Team talk, probably. What about scripted duels between entertainers? She’d been hoping that she’d be able to start with those so she’d only have to focus on the “entertaining” aspect. You know, the part she was garbage at. The point was, luck-based cards like that, couldn’t those throw the script somehow? Or did each duelist just have to have a flowchart memorized, with forks at every dice roll or coin toss? That seemed… complicated, to say the least. The alternative was probably setting the number beforehand, though, which itself probably ran the risk of breaking the audience’s immersion. Could she fake surprise or disgust at the result of a die she already knew the result of? How many people could? And that was ignoring the biggest question, which was: if you were scripting out a duel, why even use luck-based cards at all? Then something clicked. She still didn’t know what to think or anything like that, but her brain had decided to ignore the question altogether and shift course to the other aspect of Gabriela’s declaration: her tone. Melissa was pretty sure she’d never heard Gabriela act with such disdain before. Sure, there was the standard air of nobility over the lower class that she had basically all the time but this one seemed different. Something personal. And Melissa was worried it was her fault. The thought wouldn’t leave either, no matter how hard Melissa tried to keep it down. So she couldn’t “ooh” and “ah” with the crowd as Yushiro pulled out a big Synchro monster. She kept her lip bit and started running through everything she’d ever said searching for something that might have offended Gabriela. Something that might have soured her mood. Was it the food? Gabriela hadn’t gotten a lot to eat at dinner and it seemed like so many advertisements were always like “Hungry people are angry people.” And that could probably be rectified pretty easily, like, the bar probably had some sort of snack and failing that, some nonalcoholic drink would at least have some calories, right? But Melissa imagined walking up to someone and being like, “You look angry, have a peanut,” like, that certainly couldn’t go well, could it? What else could it be? A thought struck her. Maybe she’d only noticed it now because she hadn’t been the best at paying attention. Maybe it had been subtler before and because Melissa hadn’t picked up on it, Gabriela had increased the intensity, and now Melissa was left to deal with the consequences. The knot in Melissa’s stomach got a little tighter. It had to be her fault -- it had to be -- and being unable to find the cause only made things worse. Something she said at dinner? No, dinner had been great. Calling out her loss to Hitomu? No, Gabriela would have said something if that were true, right? Her failure to adequately prepare for the duel they were now watching? Ashley had done most of that and… And… “I’m sorry, I think I need to use the restroom,” Melissa said. She stood up. Deep, measured breaths were starting to fail her now, which meant escape was the only option unless she wanted to ruin Gabriela’s night even more than she probably already had. She quickly shuffled past Gabriela (and gave a quick nod to Jun) and scampered off. The restroom wasn’t soundproofed at all. That wasn’t to say that Melissa expected that of her restrooms, but the noise of the crowd certainly didn’t help. Otherwise, it was fine. It had porcelain toilet bowls and sinks and smelled like it had been cleaned that afternoon. She wasn’t picky, especially not now. Her mental search had broadened. Now that she was staring at herself in the bathroom mirror, it was easy to reflect on things, and the entire day was now up for review. No, not just that day, any interaction. Every interaction they’d had. And every other moment Melissa had spent out and about. Ever. It wasn’t even gradual how quickly all those thoughts turned into a barrage, a monsoon of nitpicking and hyperanalyzing. Why did she wait until the day of to buy corsages? Why had she done the bare minimum of coordinating? Other people thought her flower looked terrible, didn’t they? Why did Jun show up all of a sudden, had she heard anything private? And Ashley… Ashley… Ashley… Everything about Ashley Rendleman and how Melissa had handled that particular encounter now flooded her memory because everything about it had gone wrong. From what was said to how it ended to the inevitable aftermath to- Someone entered the restroom and it was all Melissa could do to flee into a stall and just start sobbing. She was leaning over the toilet bowl in case something came out. Fortunately, nothing did, but it was a small fortune now. Between gasping for air and sniffling and feeling her heart pound like a drum in her chest, she could barely even think, anyway, so she couldn’t even recognize how lucky she was she hadn’t lost her din- “You’re probably too good for him anyway,” the other person in the restroom said. And there it went, between coughs and spit. Melissa flushed the toilet, but a second lurch left her staring at some remnants until she managed the strength to pull the plunger again. And even after that, the image was firmly in her mind now. She was a mess and she knew it. Why did she think tonight, of all nights, was going to be different? Melissa imagined spending the entire night there in that one stall, only coming out when the night custodian demanded that she did, before wandering in a daze back to her dorm room and never leaving. It just wasn’t worth it. If -- if -- Gabriela didn’t hate her, wouldn’t she now, after all this? And if she didn’t find out, wouldn’t she find out through Ashley Rendleman’s chain of gossip? “Watch out for that mess,” Melissa said to herself. “You don’t want to be- you don’t want to have anything to do with her.” In that moment, though, as soon as she uttered those words, Melissa experienced a moment of clarity. There was one person that both already knew and could maybe, just maybe, bring her back from this. She swiftly pulled out her phone. She was operating on blind hope now, like, it probably wouldn’t work, but she had to try. To: Elizabeth From: Melissa Hey, this is Melissa. Can we talk? I don’t want to say it’s urgent but... I’m in the restroom. It was only two messages, and they looked so small now that she had sent them. Melissa kept staring at the screen, mumbling to herself sentences like “Come on…” or “Pick up, please…” There wasn’t a read receipt yet, which meant there was still hope. But as the moments -- they were probably only seconds, unless… -- ticked on, the hope started to fade away, and nothing replaced hope quite like dread. She sent two more -- final -- messages and then the tears came back. I don’t know how many restrooms there are in this place, actually. Look for the crying girl one of the stalls. Please.

"I'm freeeee! Woooohoooo!" Indeed, they had freed the troublesome archer. "thaaaanks guys! Man, I thought I was going to be stuck under there forever." Suddenly the human went over and hugged Shiro. As in touched him with her human hands, wrapping them around the frog man, constricting his movements, making him unable to flee. This wasn't good, not good at all. He could feel something rising up in his body he hadn't felt in a long time: pure, unadulterated panic. He began to try to wiggle out of her grasp, just to try to get away from her... Thankfully, she let go of him, a blessing in an otherwise cruel moment. He took a minute to back away from the group, trying to carefully catch his breath without the others noticing. He quickly collected himself as he forced the feeling back down deep inside. He had to remain calm and rational, especially with the fox nearby. "Hey, hey, hey guys. Come look." "A trap door... Good find, Tsetseg." The two females were gathered around a trapdoor of some sort with a ladder heading downwards. They didn't seem to be heading in though, so Shiro took the initiative. Squeezing pass them, he climbed down the ladder, descending into the darkness below. It took a little bit, but he got to the bottom. It was darker than night in this tunnel. In his frog form, he could probably see even in this darkness, but as he felt around the tunnel, it seemed barely tall enough for him, let alone his frog form. "It's a tunnel!" He called up to the group above. "I can't tell where it heads to or even where it ends... I'm going to check it out!" With that, the frog walked deeper into the tunnel, his guard up in case anything bad happened.

So I was watching this anime called "SSSS Gridman" last night... pretty much all in one sitting. Then I went out to look at the original live action sow from the early 90s (episode 1 of it at least). Then I went on to looking up Kaiju designs. None of my doodles are as awesomely detailed as the monsters I found, but still, it inspired me to try to sketch up a couple ideas xD I wanna do a few more later. I wanna use them for card art too. The Yugioh Kaijus are pretty good art on their own merit but looking back they don't quite give me the same "Kaiju" feel I get from monsters from Tokusatsu shows. Also for flavor, since they are always wrecking the city I think the effect concept would be to destroy field spells to drop them on the board and get bonuses x different field spells in the GYs, or something along those lines. Might iron up the concept once I get around to finish the drawing part of it xP

“...Okay,” Citron took in a deep breath, rubbing at her temple as she tried to push the previous smell out of her mind. “If they have soured grapes, wine bottles, and, well, wine, the Mayor has been making wine.” She’d nod, audibly working through the obvious. “But that’s… A lot of wine, actually. If he was making it for the towns people, I could see him just barrelling it up, but…” She glanced towards the bottles, putting a finger to her chin. “That doesn’t exactly seem to be the case. This is also far too much for him to drink alone, so that’s ruled out. That leaves us with him either being a merchant, or keeping all of this for… Uh… Status?” She shrugged, rubbing at her chin. “That… Seems like something a relatively rich person would do, right? Hoard wine?” She shrugged, turning on her heels. “...But, he’s probably a merchant, after all…” Citron would take a deep breath, walking over to the sacks of flour. “That would explain this excess, too.” She’d smile, kneeling down to examine the sacks. “Identical sacks of flour, probably either sold as-is to local or traveling bakers, and or used to make things to sell. Like… Like bread.” She reasoned, nodding to herself. “After all, this stuff’ll just attract like, rats or something if he’s not using it. So he’s got to be using it somehow, and I really doubt he’s eating it.” She began to pace a few steps in front of the flour, occasionally glancing towards the group. They appeared to have gotten the rude girl out from under the net. “Buuuuut…” She’d trail off, stopping in front of the flour. “...How does me dissecting this man’s life like, actually help us out here?” Her proud expression would melt into disappointment as she crossed her arms. “Because unless he was trying to like, turn them into farm animals to sell and accidentally got hit himself, I’d say him being some sort of merchant and ALSO a mayor has… Nothing to do with anything.” Glancing past the flour, she noticed that even the rude-girl was being more useful than her, having found some sort of… Secret, movable stone or something, and more importantly, a hole… Maybe Citron should just follow them.

2 of them I really like a lot: the beetle-thing with the pincers and the hammerhead with spinosaurus spine... They kind of capture the quirkiness in design in terms of how the Tokusatsu shows have their monsters as mishmash of all-sorts of things from nature. The thing of it is though is that these do stray away from the common design of the Kaiju in Yugioh as the exisiting ones look edgier and more menacing. Not saying that is a bad thing. But, it is certainly a thing to consider if you want the Kaiju to have similar design with the existing ones in the arch. Nonetheless, I am eager to see what you have in mind for how to expand on Kaiju.... Considering how limited their playstyle is.

"I'm a net now." Penelope let out a giggle at this. She was glad she came down here. That girl was ever so delightful to watch. Alas the show was over just as it started as the others lifted the net for the girl to escape. Satisfied that things were figured out here Penelope backed away. She saw Citron off to the one side so she returned to the sword and shield she saw before. She didn't have high hopes but she didn't want to leave anywhere untouched. No amount of touching would change the fact that there was nothing to find there. Not even under the table. Both the sword and shield seemed to be in good condition but Penelope had no need for them and it wasn't nearly worth the trouble of taking them. So she moved on to the more interesting object. A large chest. With a lock. She tried to pull it open, testing the lock, and it held fast. The chest was rather large and heavy. So much so that Penelope didn't think she could possibly lift it. Still, she decided to try and wiggle it forward a bit so she could check underneath and behind it. It took some trying but she was able to pull it back enough to check and find...nothing, again. Oddly the chest felt as though it were empty. Still bulky enough to be hard to lift but from what she could tell there was nothing inside. Which only made her more curious. She moved over towards the door the others were inside and called out "Anyone happen to find a key that could fit in this chest out here?" Gunther frowned at Alois's attitude towards possibly breaking the crate. Still, it seemed that everything was settled up here. "I suppose I shall go check with the others while you take care of that. Let us know what you find later alright?" Upon saying this the Knight went down the stairs to find that...everyone had left? Huh. Well....He stood around awkwardly for a few moments before hearing noises at the door. He approached it and opened the door to see Catriona standing there. And, behind her on the stairs, the beaver from before and....a badger? The princess shoved food into Gunther's face, quite literally, and said simply "Here, food" The Knight couldn't help but smile. The young woman was always rather awkward about such things. It was refreshing sometimes with how much he dealt with Penelope's more flowery speech. "Thanks Cat...er, Pri.....that is, Catriona." Gunther said as he realized he wasn't sure how he was supposed to address her. Calling her Cat seemed almost rude but she wasn't a princess here, as they were undercover, yet Catriona almost felt too stiff. She didn't seem to have much more to say. "Suppose you're on a mission." He said with a bigger smile. Letting her through he approached the two animals. A thought came to mind while watching the badger and he knelt down and asked "This might be silly to ask but....is this your home?" They confirmed with a nod and snuffle. "Er...I am sorry for what's going on in your town. And for, well," he gestures at the house. "But we're doing what we can to figure out how to fix this....Oh, that reminds me. It's a small thing but I'd hate your food to go bad. Do you have a place you store your cheese?" The badger nodded and started to shamble into the house. Gunther followed and noticed that the animal appeared to be going for the basement. Taking this as an answer, Gunther went and grabbed the cheese once more, and followed after the badger. Cora followed along behind the other two as they reached...the town hall? That seemed a bit odd. After all the door was locked and it was a rather secure building. Did the girl intend to force her way through? She frowned. That would be unpleasant. She didn't want to even think about having to explain this situation to the mayor. It was enough that she'd have to explain why she let those people roam his house....then again the mayor also had some things to explain. That's when Cora noticed the strange, animal-eared, girl pacing around. She appeared to be agitated for some reason. Sliding off Abel's back Cora cautiously approached her. "Is there something wrong? Um....besides the obvious." Licorice jerked her head, a look of surprise on her face. "Oh...no, nothing is wrong..." she trailed off. "Thank you." Cora felt she should say something more. Instead of letting this awkward silence settle. But the girl was clearly distracted and what would she say? Ask about the animal ears? What if it was a sensitive subject? ....Seriously though why did she have those ears?

As Tsetseg had simply resigned to her fate of becoming part net, the rest of the group seemed to start trying a new way of lifting it and, with some effort they managed to pull it up. Seeing her way of freedom open up, the girl quickly began to scurry out from under the net and, once free, bounded back up to her feet. Stretching her arms to her side, the girl brightly shouted, "I'm freeeee! Woooohoooo!" Looking to each and everyone of the people around her, the girl went to hug all of them before saying, "thaaaanks guys! Man, I thought I was going to be stuck under there forever." Nodding to herself, the girl seemed to have completely gotten over her experience as she simply stepped over the net and continued onward to where she was going before hand. Looking to see the ants, now scattering about, they still seemed to be going towards one area. Looking at the place where they were going, the girl pressed herself against the ground. Seeing that the ants were moving down a slit in the ground, the girl noticed that it seemed to be more perfectly straight than anything else. Curious, the girl pressed her fingers against it, only to notice that it was actually more three straight lines in almost a square shape. "Hmmmmmmmm..." The looked at it and thought that it seemed to remind her of a box and quite like she had been adept at opening doors, the girl also thought she was adept at opening boxes. So, taking out her small knife, the girl pressed it into the line, the blade sliding in smoothly. Pushing her knife up, the girl let out a, "oh!" The stone block had moved up a bit. Pressing her hand against the stone block, she started to push up against it harder, clearly straining as the stone seemed to be heavy. However, after keeping at it once more, she managed to eventually life the stone block up and back. Taking a deep breath, the girl looked down, noticing something. "Hey, hey, hey guys. Come look." The girl pointed to a hole where the stone used to be, not being able to really seen down it as it was entirely dark with nothing but a wooden ladder leading down it.
