  1. I believe Lightning Storm is better nowadays? Yeah, this card lost so much impact. The power to break a board barely matters if the board you are facing won't let you resolve this card anyway. Still, this ought to be a good pal for Dark Ruler No More.

  5. I went for Pokemon that both I liked and have some degree of viability or niche. That's why I'm excluding pre-evos like Joltik, or Pokemon with bad Typing like Aggron which otherwise would take the Steel slot. Banette over Mega Banette because IMO Mega Banette doesn't warrant a mega slot, as good as Prankster + Destiny Bond combo is.
  6. Passionfruit Once per turn: You can add 1 "Magician Girl" card (from where? Deck? GY? both?). This card cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect. If this card is attacked: Special Summon 1 "Magician Girl" monster from your GY, then the attacking monster's ATK becomes half its current ATK. Nour All "Magician Girl" monsters on the field gain 500 ATK. Once per turn, if this card is targeted for an attack: You can special summon 1 level 5 or lower "Magician Girl" monster from your hand, then change the target to it, and if you do, the attacking monster's ATK becomes half its current ATK. Blanc All "Magician Girl" monsters on the field gain 500 DEF. Once per turn, if this card is targeted for an attack: You can special summon 1 level 5 or lower "Magician Girl" monster from your hand, then change the target to it, and if you do, the attacking monster's ATK becomes half its current ATK. Cherry When a "Magician Girl" monster is destroyed by battle or card effect: Special summon this card (from where?). All other "Magician Girl" monsters on the field cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Banana Once per turn: You can destroy 1 monster your opponent controls. This card cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect. (Once per turn?), if this card is targeted by an attack: The attacking monster's ATK becomes half its current ATK, then special summon 1 "Magician Girl" monster from your hand, Deck or GY, then change the attack target to it. Grape Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. When this card is Summoned: Add 2 "Magician Girl" monsters from your Deck to your hand. (Once per turn?), if this card is targeted by an attack: The the attacking monster's ATK becomes half its current ATK, then special summon 1 "Magician Girl" monster from your hand, Deck or GY, then change the attack target to it. Will correct the rest later and gradually. For comments, Noir and Blanc are the weakest so far, IMO. I'm concerned about Passionfruit lacking a "hard OPT" (You can only use this effect of X once per turn) on the search effect. Banana seems fine to me, and I have my doubts on Grape because IDK how easy or difficult it will be to Special Summon it with the support is already has with the support it gets in your set, I have not read all the cards yet. Not a fan of not only both Banana and Grape having the same second effect, also that they Summon a Magician Girl monster from pretty much anywhere, making them a bit too safe to play unlike Chocolate that needs a target in the GY ans is known by both players, and Berry that does Summon from the Main Deck in exchange of stats and no attack redirection.
  7. I like that you have not only 1, but 2 girlfriends! That's, like, 2 more than what I actually have. I like or liked, that you were stern with YGO card reviews back then. It contributed to me growing a spine, taught me a lesson or two about online communities, and thus I learned from that. Sucks that you don't review cards anymore, though.
  8. Looks cool! I did say Splatoon form instead of specifically Inkling, so this can conveniently pass as Urchin-based.
  9. Ice Flame Wisp Level 4/WATER/Pyro/Effect 1200/0 If a card or effect that places Ice Counters on the field is activated: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is sent to the GY: Destroy all non-WATER monsters on the field with Ice Counters on them. Next: WIND/Thunder
  10. Looks fine to me. A highly specific floodgate, it's a meta call or side deck card at best. Then name can be improved IMO, however. How about "Confidentiality Clause" ?
  11. I don't see a way to shorten the effect, actually, so good job on that. Anyway, card is funny and good enough for casual plays. Sadly I don't see it working well in competitive environments. Even in decks you can consistently Summon 3 critters, chances are you can do stronger plays by using them as fodder than spending 1 card to boost their ATKs. Your best play with this is turning 3 1000-ATK monsters into 3000-ATK for a push or OTK, but that's rather situational.
  12. Basically it is specialized on being Tribute fodder for Toons. You are on the right track, IMO. Give it a self-Summon from hand condition or effect and it would be much better. Also, the OPT clause in the self-revival effect is pointless because such OPTs are reset when the cards gets on the field again. You have to use a "hard OPT" instead: "You can only use this effect of X once per turn". Actually... if you want to take a more flavorful approach, yoiu got the "float lightly" already covered because the card float into itself, so the "stings sharply" part... you can make it destroy a face-up card on the field when it's Summoned by its own effect, providing Toons some removal power. I like the drawing, by the way. It has a sexy vibe. Keep it up!
  13. Yeeesh! Hail Sanaki the new FE Queen of NCM! So wholesome. Being followed up by not 1, but 2 pink-haired twintail gals makes it even better for me.

    Darj's Fakemon

This blog is about Fakemon I have made. My interest in making Fakemon goes years back, can't recall exactly when. However, the Create-A-Pokemon thread in YCM rekindled my interest. I ended up being fairly active there, and as I created more, the more work I put on on my entries, going as far as to look for relevant BSTs (base stats) and moves for them. I never went as far as to make sketches of them, but that's something I plan to outsource. In this blog I will collect the Fakemon I made and make in the future to showcase. Ideally I want to spark interest in Fakemon in this NCM community, as well as discuss more technical matters like balance, moveset analysis, and theoretical impact if they were implemented in the official games. But I understand this is not a Pokemon nor Fakemon site so I don't expect much. The initial content I post will be the Fakemon I made in the previous YCM thread, but I intent to work on more ideas, as well a polish my earliest Fakemon that are missing on details like BSTs and moves. Any feedback and discussion will be appreciated. Spirisilk Rabbunton Lunebelle Grabonel Purefinia Leavash Ferrimicox
  15. @Comrade DuckBeans and rice, nice! I first tried them in a cajun fast food chain restaurant and have liked them ever since. Although admittedly have not prepared them in a long while, and have not been able to match the taste of the cajun restaurant. Your recipe seems tasty and would be worth a try, but damn it sure takes a while. I can share a couple of recipes, too. Although I'm not too used to measurements and even when I follow a recipe I like to experiment with different spices and/or quantities, depending on how the dish looks or feels in the process. I can at the very least list the ingredients and approximate or minimum quantities. May as well start with a guacamole that so far has been liked by everyone whenever I make it for a party or gathering. I call it "Green Guacamole" for a reason you will find out below: - 3 avocados. I prefer Hash but any variety should be fine as long as it has the consistently you like the most. Personally I liked it ripe and soft to end up with a guacamole with a mushy, mashed-beans-like consistency - 1 Cucumber - 1 medium onion, 2 small ones, or half a big one - Lime juice. The green small one, not the yellow lemon that is bigger. This is important, they do taste different. Lime is more sour - Diced spicy peppers to taste. I personally prefer habanero, caribe and I think it's cayenne pepper because it's red, but really, anything spicy should work, like jalapeño - Diced fresh coriander to taste - Salt and pepper to taste Again, quantities are approximates and also up to personal taste so feel free to put less or more of a particular ingredient or skip it entirely. For example, I know not everyone is into onion or spicy food. As you may have noticed by now, there is a distinctive lack of tomato and an addition of cucumber, the latter effectively replacing the former. This is what makes this guacamole stand out, and why I call it green guacamole. It can be even more green if you add only green-colored peppers but I prefer to add some bits of color with yellow, orange and red peppers. Anyway, the preparation is simple. Just dice the vegetables and mix everything together, and mix and mash with a spoon or fork until you get your preferred consistency. I like ripe avocados and plenty of lime juice to make it more sour and spreadable, but you can also keep it more dry and go for avocado cubes and don't mash too hard. Accompany with tortilla chips, or add as a dressing in tacos or next to an steak, it can go well in hot dogs, too! Guacamole is quite flexible.
  16. I like this one, mainly because it can support Mekk-Knights. Cards that net draws with certain triggers are often left out of decks because they require something to be live, namely Supply Squad and Constellar Star Chart, even if that "something" can be easy to meet because in the case you cannot or the attempts are negated, then you end up with a dead card, or more if you draw into multiples of this. However, this is both more generic by supporting an entire Type, and the condition is easier to fulfill, putting it on a different level to the other card-drawing Cont. Spells. This got potential, IMO.
  17. I dropped by NCM yesterday, and as soon I saw your avi it reminded me of this NPC mage character from FE:Blazing Blade that appears at the end of the game and had an important role with an ancient conflict and was involved the legendary weapons. I had forgotten the name and since I got in  by mobile the Forum layout doesn't show the usernames right away. And sure enough, once I read your new username it confirmed that it indeed was this mage ancient character, Then I wondered if Blazing Blade was getting a remake or something that motivated you to take this NCM persona, and then checked Fire Emblem Heroes and I had my answer.
Felt like sharing this with you and NCM because I found this occurrence rather funny.

  18. I was confused who this Duck with VIP title was, turns it's Dad, yesh! Glad to see you back. Sorry, didn't you know you went through a rough patch, but seems you are better now, that's a relief. Now as a Duck, what else besides RPs are you looking forward to do and find in NCM?
  19. It has come to this, huh. Well, I know Sanaki more than Hilda so the former gets my vote. May this be her chance to win a FE Waifu Tournament.
  20. IMO either it's Ribbon Girl, who was introduced along Spring Man and thus always saw as an ARMS main character, plus the waifu bonus, or they do a bolder move and make Spring Man character despite being an Assist Trophy, setting up a precedent and hope for Midna and Waluigi.
  21. Note that the gradual removal effect only applies when you Tribute a 2500+ DEF monster, so using a little critter won't apply it.
  22. So it needs a nerf, I see. And here I thought it be kept in check by the fact that DARK monsters with high DEF are rare, especially with 3000+ DEF, and you cannot even use Link monsters. How about spinning a card for every 750 ATK? That way the maximum you can spin with the first effect is 4, and the card costs 2 in a vacuum for a net of 2 only if you Tribute a 3000 DEF monster. It occurs to me I can make it require 2000 or more DEF, and apply the effect if you Tributed a 3000+ DEF, or maybe push it down to 2500+. That would make the first effect more potent and net immediate rewards while disabling you from Tributing little critters, but the gradual removal effect is harder to trigger. But then this approach feels like over-nerfing it.
