  1. Hm for a start lets try this Everyone can go up to 6 nominations
  2. Night, as it does, fell. And then rose up with the sun the next day. It seemed like an ordinary day. It must have rained some overnight because the grass outside was covered in a frosty sheen as the rain had frozen over and then partially melted. At the start of the day and even through most of the day there was no message of any sort from Shiki. However if they at any point checked the news they might realize that something would be coming. And in fact when Shiki did message, around 6 PM, she simply linked to a news article. However the link messed up and so they would have to copy the link themselves to actually go see what it was. It seemed that morning a teenager was found in an office building, curled into a ball and stammering wildly, by police who had gotten reports of a break in. Apparently the boy was heard as he was being dragged out shouting "He's gone! He's gone! It took him! It was him but it wasn't him!" While no other explanation from Shiki followed one of them would find Shiki's van outside, wherever they happened to be, with a sticky note on the steering wheel saying to pick up the other one, and with directions to where they would be. Even if said other person wasn't in the same place as when they got Shiki's message the directions would lead them to where they were at the time. Once both were inside a radio that was sitting on top of the fridge started up and Shiki's voice came through. "Hello. We are Shiki. Please take care of this occurrence before the night ends."
  3. "Uh, well, uh, he's got messy hair? That's uh, yeah." "I can picture him already." Cym replied flatly before frowning and going into thought. Trying to, despite the sarcastic response, picture Damien from the description given. "Hm, well...I suppose...point him out if you see him I guess." Cym said, and gave an awkward laugh as she wandered over to see what the others were doing. Keres found herself struggling with the task that Reinaan had set himself to. "If only I had brought the survival guides." She found herself saying as she broke yet another stick. Surely this shouldn't be difficult, right? She understood the premise and yet....snap, there went another one. In the end it was Reinaan who did most of the work. Leaving Keres unsure if she hadn't just been wasting her time. "Perhaps I shall...rest, to be ready." She said as she moved back towards the fire. She hadn't personally encountered Lycans before, though she knew there were sightings of them back in the swamp and around the island, and she couldn't be certain how this would go. They weren't simply wolves she knew that much yet she couldn't be sure what kind of tactics they might use. In the end Keres spent more time fretting than resting as the already dark forest grew darker while night fell upon them. Madelyn for her part didn't seem to be satisfied with their conclusion regarding the wooden sword but also didn't seem too keen on checking further. Especially as they didn't know when an attack might come. The group were gathered in camp when they heard it. Howling. Coming from all sides. Cym and Pan moved practically back to back near the fire as they looked out into the woods. Pan seemed to be nervous, an expression he hadn't shown yet, while Cym seemed torn between anxiety and excitement. Now and then they could hear what sounded like movement. It was hard to tell how many of them were out there but they could at least tell they were in, essentially, all directions. Keres and Reinaan could figure out a little more than that. Mostly that they hadn't yet gotten close enough to fall into the traps that Reinaan set. They couldn't know if they were avoiding them or if they were waiting for something before getting closer. And then they suddenly heard something much closer. And moments later a man emerged from the treeline. He was incredibly tall, over six feet in height, and muscular. Which was easy to tell as he wore no shirt. His hair was long, black, and messy. The only semblance of attempting to tame it was that some was bunched up in a loose ponytail but even that wasn't enough for the amount. He looked around at the group, silently, with narrowed eyes. Then, once he swept over each of them, showed a toothy smile. "Well now. Isn't this a surprise. Outsiders in my forest? It's been such a long time since we've had guests. Perhaps we should have a feast." His eyes lingered on the elves, and then he looked towards the animals, and he said, "it looks like you've brought the food, how thoughtful of you."
  4. Perhaps a bit too slow for my preferences but sounds real good, some cool stuff there too, 8/10
  5. Its slow going but few more people nominating (or a couple more and I bump up number) and can make it to the main goal yet

  6. "I think there's lots of work that needs to be done. I love Scarlett City with all my heart, and I want to see it be beautiful again. So, we'd better do our utmost to save it. Right?" "Hm, utmost is a lot you know. I wonder if you can manage that much....but, well I look forward to seeing what work ya put into it." She gave the girl a thumbs up. Hopefully that love of the city wouldn't stop the girl from changing it as much as it needed to be. After all even if they want to do something different so many people struggled to break away from what they were used to. First thing's first though. They couldn't really do anything big if Caesar wasn't taken care of and the world's ending wasn't prevented. So Thessa supposed it was for the best that not long after they were called to the meeting. In her long life Thessa had been to this meeting room a couple times. It was quite exciting the first time, a bit less the next, and this time she still found it better than a regular meeting at least. "Guess this get together makes a bit of a break from the norm, silver linings and all that." Thessa said to no one in particular as she gathered up snacks and went to sit with her current affiliation. It didn't cross her mind to go to one of the other areas simply because that would be going out of her way to cause trouble which, despite not minding if she caused trouble normally, she didn't really care enough to intentionally do so here. And so began the talking. A lot of talking. Nothing really piqued Thessa's interest, just the usual that happened when two sides clashed, and she distracted herself by ranking the various snacks provided by taste. She rolled her eyes at Thirteen's class rep act. To her there was really only one thing that mattered about this whole thing and that was deciding where they struck first. “It doesn’t do us much good to underestimate our enemy anyway. Caesar does have a number of advantages on us, too. As long as he has Legion near him, for example, he can look over the whole city. We won’t exactly be sneaking up on him no matter what we do.” She couldn't help but let out a groan at that. There it was again, numbers numbers numbers, why did so many people think that the number of people mattered? Amusingly Stanley was the one to offer up an idea closest to what Thessa thought made most sense. Even if Lachesis had a bit of an issue with it. “That’s what we’re here for, after all. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this suggested plan? Or any other plans to find Caesar and resolve this S-Class threat?” Finally Thessa, having arranged the snack wrappers in front of her in order of tastiness, spoke up. "I mean, is it really that complicated? We have a list of everyone in his gang. Two lists even." She glanced at the other gang leaders, "maybe more." Then she continued. "If Caesar doesn't have any manpower he's not gonna do much. So just take them all out and bring them in, simple as that." Her idea sounded insane for several reasons but anyone who knew the girl could tell she was completely serious. She saw nothing wrong with the plan and was, in fact, already eager to go get started.
  7. "This shouldn't hurt" followed by "don't move" was not a good sign. Clobber felt himself immediately begin to tense up, the exact opposite of what you're supposed to do in those situations, and his fight or flight response nearly kicked in. Only stopped by the sight of the mist coming in. He knew that Pokemon could get pretty spooky at times, in fact he always liked seeing creepy ghost art when Halloween came around, but this felt like a step too far. It did allow him to stop himself from taking off. Thankfully he was one of the first to go and so he didn't have to wait long. "Urgh, I don't think I could ever get used to that." Nor did he want to have it happen enough times for it to become normal. He had enough time as everyone began popping up to look around and all he saw was....trees. A lot of trees. A forest of trees one could say. At first Jirachi didn't appear and Clobber began to feel on edge. "Hey what do we do if he never..." and then he popped up, cutting Clobber's hesitantly voiced concern short. "On my count, lift your badges into the air. When you do, please focus on happy thoughts. On hopeful thoughts. What brings you happiness? What brings you hope? These will provide you with the strength you need to stand against the Endless Mist." Well that sounded....cheesy. Surprisingly so with how dire everything had looked. Happiness and hope, in this economy? Well, guess he had to get to work then. Happy thoughts....happy memories....but wait, all he could remember was the forum. And that...well. All that came to mind was not what he'd call happy. Even when he felt good about the art he posted it would just take one negative comment to turn the memory sad. Even pushing past that part of his forum life most of the rest was him arguing about topics that he only had enough knowledge to know that the other side was wrong. Not the most hopeful of endeavors. There was that time he checked out polls, drawn in by the rather cringy but tempting topic of "best girl" only to discover that somehow Giratina had taken the crown. Which at least was somewhat funny if not frustrating but he doubted those kind of thoughts would help much. He was starting to think that this was pointless, that maybe they shouldn't have brought in a downer like him if they wanted hope and happy feelings, when something came to mind. A memory that had struggled its way through the rest of the mire. It wasn't anything special. If he overthought it he'd realize it was pretty lame for this to be what he latched onto. But latch onto it he did. One day, after a rather hectic spree of deleting a bunch of old artwork, he saw a PM pop up. Usually this meant that someone had complained about him again but this time it was something different. "Hey." it began. "I like your art! I checked your profile and didn't see anything but do you accept commissions?" This small interaction reminded Clobber of a small bubble of hope, a surprisingly potent feeling of joy coming from out of nowhere. And so when Jirachi counted down he held up his badge, trying his best to keep the feeling in his heart, and WISHED.
  8. Well suppose I'll put 4 up now. This might be a smaller one than normal, I refuse to skip it though I want to do all the systems if that means a few kinda duds so be it. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Castlevania: Curse of Darkness The Suffering Conker: Live & Reloaded
  9. Team BQN The ranger took a deep breath, seeming to realize that his tone had been pretty snappy. "Yeah that's something I can help with. Much easier than dealing with people like that. Why do they think I became a ranger in the first place I didn't want to have to interact with...." He realized again he was going off on a rant and stopped himself. He leaned in and examined the Rattata and nodded. "Yeah, dunno why but lately lot of Pokemon have been more on edge. Must be something they know we don't, like usual, but don't have the slightest clue what it could be." He straightened up again. "I'll take em off your hands for you." He pulled out of his pack what looked to be a bundle of rods and a tarp and quickly set up something that resembled a wheelbarrow made of fabric. Gently he took the Rattata of their hands and placed them into said wheelbarrow. "Hoothoot, come on out, I need you to keep an eye out in case anything tries and attack us on the way back." He looked at Quinn and frowned. "I'm no doctor but, uh, here ya go, this Oran Berry might help reduce the swelling there." He paused as if waiting for any more questions then awkwardly grunted and lifted up the wheelbarrow to head off.
  10. While Estelle wouldn't have noticed, Chris, being of sound mind and body, would have seen the knife plunge into the side of the creature's head. It recoiled from the blow but, after a moment, it seemed to recover enough to make its way towards Estelle. The mage girl had recovered as it got closer and almost immediately fired off an arrow of light at the undead. Said arrow struck the creature in the chest. It halted once more as the glowing projection lingered for a few moments before fading away, leaving only the wound behind. The undead almost seemed to consider its options, which was unlike most of them who simply kept attacking, and then began to back away. Unless impeded it would keep backing off until the fog swallowed it. Which would also swallow the effects of the aura of fear it seemed to bring. Unlike that creature the skeleton that Ziun had seen did not back away. It instead went right for Ziun. Without any thought or strategy it advanced towards the bard. Despite the recklessness of the move the creature looked to be able to handle its sword well. As it brought it down in an arc, aiming to score a deep cut with the curved blade into Ziun's chest.

  17. Team JAA/AJA/AAJ Anneliese, a bit late, pumped her fist into the air. Mimicking Jacklyn's motion without really knowing why. "Um, yes, quite!" She called out in agreement. "Perhaps we can all train toge-oh." Before Anneliese could complete her sentence Anima went off on her own. "Oh, well, maybe she has something else in mind." Hands now clasped behind her back Anneliese turned towards Jacklyn. She gave her a soft but bright smile and said, "I suppose we will have to catch up. You will have to escort me on this part of the journey yourself it seems." With that the girl set out. While Anima wasn't going all that fast Anneliese kept pausing every little bit to comment on something she saw. "My, the grass really is tall, do they not have a caretaker here?" "Oh goodness that man is wearing such dark clothes, and a mask at that, does he not get warm running in the sun so much?" "I cannot say I expected that Starly to attack me when I offered to pet it, thank you Leopold that was very kind of you." She also tended to stop to talk to each trainer that she saw. Some of whom would insist on a battle beforehand. "Tackle, Patrat!" "Tackle, Leopold!" "Tackle!" "Tackle!" "Tackle!" "Ta...wait, Thunder Shock!" "W-whaaaa?" Eventually however Anneliese spotted Anima running after her Pokemon. "Why hello there Anim-oh she probably cannot hear me." She gave a small smile to Jacklyn. "I seem to be too quiet, do you have any pointers how to speak as loudly as you do?"
