  1. Once upon a time... Four simple words that take you into a world of the unimaginable. Those words bring you into your favorite stories of brave knights, beautiful damsels...and terrifying monsters... How the knights and brave heroes would rescue the fairest of maidens from the dark and evil clutches of the monsters that held them captive. But...could these stories, these tales...could they be false? What if...the monsters that we shunned in our favorite stories...what if they were truly the heroes? What if they were the ones to save humanity or the fair damsels from danger? A strange possibility this would be...but it shows a new door...one that you need only say four simple words to journey through: Once upon a time... Opening Three years ago - Farway Prologue The sounds of the two of them running and the whipping winds within the forest could be heard around them, but over the sounds of this...the faint sounds of shouting could be heard. He knew the sounds...a mob, bloodthirsty and awaiting the chance to finally get rid of this horrid beast… “Alexandre...Alexandre...I can’t continue.” The young man, whom had two horns protruding out from his brown hair stopped suddenly, looking at the young woman who’s hand he held. Alexandre Roi looked puzzled, trying to catch his breath some. “I-Isabella...what are you saying? M-Maurice is holding them off...he told us to run...” “I-I’ll slow you down...Jaeger or not, you have your limits.” Isabella explained, looking away from Alexandre, who now began to hold both her hands. “You have to flee Farway without me...Vincent won’t harm me. It’s you he’s truly after.” Damn you...damn you to hell, Vincent Dion… Alexandre thought, cursing the human who was hunting him. He sighed greatly, before beginning to gently squeeze Isabella’s hands. “...promise me you’ll stay safe.” “I shall, so long as you promise me the same.” Alexandre nodded, releasing her hands before reaching in his pockets and handing the young woman two objects: a key and an old hand mirror. “I took these on the way out...I want you to have them.” he began, first handing the key over. “Maurice told me...it was the Roi’s duty to care for the roses here in the castle’s secret garden. Vincent is an imbecile...he won’t find it, as long as you have this key. Please take care of them in my stead...” Finally, Alexandre handed over the mirror. “...a family heirloom. It’s a special mirror...just say what you want to see...and you’ll see it. It’s...a way to look back...” Isabella took these things humbly, bringing both close to her heart. “Very well. I’ll hold onto these for you, Alexandre...” “Farewell, Isabella Candice...” Alexandre said, slowly turning away from the young woman, rushing forward to leave Farway and it’s border. “...farewell, Alexandre Roi...” Isabella choked out, trying to be strong as she too ran off, in the opposite direction back towards Farway. Neither one saw the other’s tears, save for Isabella who used the mirror to see the Beast one last time... Present day - Tower of Babel Rise and Shine Alexandre shot awake from that memory dream sequence, hearing the usual sounds of the “alarm” that A.R.C.H. had set in place for a good portion of it’s workers. Unfortunately, his hearing was a bit sharper than a human’s...so this actually hurt him a lot, as it was another morning that he found himself rolling right off his bed and clutching his ears. ...I swear...to god...Jekyll just loves torturing someone like me at this point, doesn’t he…? Alexandre thought, muttering as he slowly got up once the alarm had subsided. And from once there was the blaring sound of whatever that alarm was, a voice was heard. “Good morning. This is Professor Eric Jekyll. I request that A.R.C.H.’s little group of Jaegers that we’ve procured please meet in the briefing room.” The horned young man sighed, rolling his eyes slightly. Another debriefing and meeting, but this was the third one this week. And who knows how many they’ve had as he just recently arrived here not too long ago, while the others, they’ve probably been there much longer. He was the newbie, so he would be odd man...er...Jaeger out. However, the briefings before were individual, this one now...it sounded like the Professor wanted everyone there. Maybe this time he’s actually got something for us… Alexandre thought, getting himself dressed and ready, already walking out of his room. Then again, "us" was relative...this would be the first time he'd actually SEE any of the others. OOC:
  2. Alright, as originally stated in our Discord, the selection was to happen at 12 AM Central...and now, it's time! Through this process of selecting the apps between myself, Yui, and Sai was a grueling one. Each and every RPer that applied here did an amazing job and exceeded expectations, namely my own, in bringing forth a character from various fairy tales, myths, and legends. In the end, however, we could only select six applicants (aside from the host crew). DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!! ...Drum roll... Oh shit an ACTUAL drum roll, neat! The Selected Cast of Characters Congratulations all those who were able to make it into the RP! While we enjoyed every single app that slid across the table, these six were the ones we could all fully agree on that each one of us enjoyed the most. Thank you for applying to this and be prepared for the IC very VERY shortly!
  3. "Why, we challenge him, of course. While they may think we won't win... We can at least show our resolve, no? Though, I must say that our dear Mr. E is underestimating us, and losing is not my planned outcome~." Jet wondered, however, if Shannon was a bit overestimating their abilities as well. After all, Zirco was on another level, at least compared to him. Possibly, he might be the weak link in the entire group, but that would be later discovered if anything. However, the next thing Mr. E said in regards to his question. "There are two things you gotta do if he doesn't cooperate. And I want you to listen closely, this is very important. If you challenge him like Shannon says and you fail, take a breath to calm yourself. Then clench up your butt, and let your heart cry out, saying 'Get your head out of your ass!' as you throw a punch right into his big goofy face, okay? And then after that, just keep looking for signs of the cult," He truthfully, would want nothing more than to say that in general to everyone, especially the Turbo Branch of KaibaCorp, but alas, he couldn't bring himself to attempt it. And he doubted that he would do such a thing to Kyouji as well...after all, he is literally the Duel King and student under the original Signer: Jack Atlas. Z-Zirco could go toe-to-toe...maybe...but there's no way me or my Dragunitys could... After the RV ride, Jet had a moment of weakness. He mounted his D-Wheel and began to follow suit after Zirco, Shannon, and Tora. However, upon exiting the RV, he looked down one side that the others went down...and then the other direction. Part of him wanted to leave...right now...just be done with it. Almost on instinct, however, his arms began to direct his D-Wheel in the direction of the others. He had been drilled with being this good little soldier that Akihiro wanted, so he had no choice but to comply with the initial plan. Jet accelerated and began to catch up towards Shannon and Tora...just for a short moment until Shannon drove off a bit faster. He began to accelerate a bit faster as well, getting on Tora's one side. "...I-I guess we should keep up...otherwise we'll lose em..." he stammered out, going a bit faster to do his best to catch up towards Shannon. Though he had to admit...his D-Wheel handled a lot better than what it did when the Turbo Branch was working with it. He'd definitely have to thank Gil about this when he returned...
  4. Randy was lost in his thoughts again, finally being able to sit up. He hurt and everything stung like a Beedrill swarm and their needles, but he fought through this. In his mind, he played out what he saw with this Lucario...how acted...how fast he moved (or at least what he could see)... "Looks like despite everything, you're still alive. The bad guy left, so we should quit having dreams and get back on the road, and make sure to avoid that guy again in the future. Isn't that right, Mr. Roarton?" The Incineroar snapped away from his thoughts, hearing Nani speak to Keanu, but making it known she also was talking to him. He only gave a small smile, before finally working up to standing. "...depends..." was all he said, leaving his answer to Nani quite ambiguous at this point, but probably driving the point across that it wasn't over. "where are all of you going?" "Don't know yet. But we're all being summoned. By the big guy himself." "big guy?" "You know, Rayquaza." "ehhhhhhh?" Randy looked and saw that Marie seemed to be doing alright, which put his heart at ease. However, she was speaking currently to Zapdos whilst making sure Articuno was alright...all of which were related to Moltres, so it definitely explained the whole similar features thing between them and Moltres. Though the part that got him...was they were summoned...by Rayquaza of all Legendaries. "...Rayquaza? Huh...of all the Legends, I would've thought it might've been a different one calling for you all..." Randy shifted towards Zapdos. "...why's he summoning you right now?" "Oh I don't know, maybe cause of people like that guy we all had a lovely chat with. Just a guess." "...Fair enough." he sighed, before gearing for his next question. "...speaking of...who was he? I know he's a Godslayer...that much is certain. But...seeing as he's the only other Godslayer we've seen, this one was...on a whole 'nother level." "Dunno, some strong wacko, I imagine." She then tried to get back up to her feet, slowly sliding up the tree. Randy figured that was fair, though it was obvious that Zapdos was nothing like Moltres in terms of personality, which definitely made it easier to speak to. "...least you two are okay. Though I...wish we did better there...least now, I know what I'm expecting." "What're you on about? You don't have to worry about that guy anymore." "He's still out there though..." he shrugged slightly. "...and aside from Yveltal which did a number on me, he's been the only one in this region that's been that difficult to beat. And...either it's fear or excitement of someone stronger welling up in me...but I have to adapt to what happened and learn from it." The woman looked over at the others in Randy's group, "So this guy nuts too I take it?" "Nuts or not...I lost and I'm taking into account what happened." Randy chuckled, shrugging again. "Gotta adapt, otherwise I can't beat him the next time our paths cross...might now be smart...but I'll be going with my gut on that situation when the time comes. Cause that's what he would've done..."
  5. Now, to continue on with my reviews, the previous ones were fine after the original questions were asked to the specific individuals who had things I was unsure about. Wada Sunspear (REP) Cassiopeia "Cassidy" D'Isigny (Saiba Aisu) Lopt Solbjorg (Blake) Lacie Bundlebye (LordCowCow) Lachlan Ness (Sethera) ??? (Skaia)
  6. If you were built that way, by using data by me (cause let's be honest, that's literally how the actual MS is), who gave it to you so I can kick their hind ends?
  7. Hmmm, make a bot on Discord? Well, I'd probably say make a bot that spouts some knowledge and old proverbs that the many different anime elders say, to encourage people in the chats...either that or give them a good laugh. Hell, a good portion might end up being Uncle Iroh cause that guy had plenty of wisdom.
  8. "They're the big dog in the yard, so to speak. Very smart, very advanced, and very insistent that everyone follows their religion. We've told them plenty of times that we don't want their faith, and even signed treaties meant to keep them from trying to influence us, but they don't stop. If they continue to insist, I fear the Vruul people will have no choice but to go to war. Don't worry about finding them; they'll find you, no doubt." That's...none to reassuring to be honest. Rei thought, writing down what she could. From the sounds of it, the Bolhe seemed to be some sort of radical group of religious zealots who seemed to want to force their religion upon other races. She thought she read somewhere back on Mars where this was sort of a norm for the older generations of humans before, but at the moment, she couldn't recall the information...namely because she was too engrossed at all this knowledge and lore she was receiving from this. Gladiators though, that whole race is a group of gladiators? That must be amazing. At least we met up with a peaceful race on our first encounter. she thought, writing a few more things down, including one specific thing the creature said: You've been living in the middle of nowhere all this time. This lulled around in her mind for a good period of time, even after the transmission was cut. It was definitely official that they weren't alone in the universe now, but if that's the case... why did they not think to contact us? With a sigh, she closed her notebook and shrugged off the thought. What they needed to do now was focus and move forward, worrying about why the different alien races didn't make contact with them first was irrelevant at the present moment. With that in mind, she moved over and sat down for a few moments. Her standing up that long while in the position of writing things down was a strain at the moment, so she at least needed a small rest from standing.
  9. That actually is sort of a funny story. So allow me to regale you the whole story, to the best of my knowledge and ability. This was something that sort of came out via the RP section back on YCM. If you would see the various characters I would make in the countless RPs I had going for me, you'd begin to see a pattern in the fact that they would all sort of fit that shonen protagonist niche and all tropes that went with it. When brought up by a few of the guys, I basically explained that I took these characters and began to put a bit of myself in each one (i.e. I always try to help people when I can, the sarcasm, just being a good friend, etc.) along with seeing things in myself that I only imagined and dreamed I possibly could do (i.e. being strong when I know I'm actually not, being chosen for something great, etc.). And from these came the characters I would create. In time, these shonen styled characters of mine sort of became a usual occurrence in which some began to say I was definitely typecast as that role (in fiction and real life). That's sort of where the joke and title of "Typecast Shonen Protagonist" came from. However, in most recent turns, I have begun to step out of that niche and boundaries of Shonen (this is shown greatly in my characters in "Yu-Gi-Oh!: Project Crimson" and "Grimm Nights"), so the generalization of my typecast role may actually be starting to wane a bit...who truly knows.
  10. Gavin groaned at being struck by the kanabo and then noticed that there was a hellhound about ready to bite him. He managed to dodge by rolling over to the right side, but now he had to further dodge the raging bull that was this damn Data Fighter. Luckily one of his bots got in the way of her, which gave him a moment to rush around still on the right side and back in the opposite direction of the Data Fighter...unfortunately for him, she knocked it out of the sky. "You realize those bots aren't easy to make, right?" Gavin groaned. Regardless, he was able to get some information about this Fighter. Eyes went red there...but that might be due to something else... he thought, before moving a bit more. "VEX, relay the rest of the information to me. Can't exactly read everything myself." he quickly said, recalling the rest of his surveillance bots. "Of course." VEX acknowledged, before reading off the information. "It seems that her body is sturdier than it appears. Further, she also has little in the range of protection, but the speed she possesses is from her actual strength to push her off the ground." "S-Seriously? This is insane!" Gavin exclaimed, making sure he was as far away from this monster as possible. "The hell is Mauvache thinking?! Unlike everyone else here, I'm literally human with no powers...all I have is my wits and technology. Jeez..." "Keep your wits about you, Gavin. You could still win against this creature. If anything, perhaps a strike from Aquila." VEX mentioned. This gave Gavin an idea. "Aquila...that's actually a good idea. If she's sturdier than she looks, has no protection...or very little, and she's literally just pushing herself off the ground, maybe I can knock her feet out from under her!" He stopped, holstered his gun and then held his left arm out. "Alright...initiating Flight of the Aquila!" Gavin then launched the dark energy powered boomerang right towards the Data Fighter, planning to knock her feet and legs from under her.
  11. "It's not just designs you...'blabber' about apparently." Ouch...that hurt. Chase thought, shrugging slightly at Aya's flat comment. Unfortunately, he would've said something else, but in walked Weston with his obvious harem of young school girls right on his arms...because of course he was. And while they were actually asking and talking to their idol, the ladies were staring hard in the direction of him...but he believed he wasn't the target of the stares. He believe and assumed it was Aya. "If you don't want to be caught in the mass of females you might want to get out of the way." "...yeah, you might be right." he shrugged again, before giving a slight wave and smile in Aya's direction. "I guess I'll catch you later then, Aya." With that, Chase shoved his hands into his pockets and made his way back to his dorm room.
  12. The host's review time! Note my reviews are pretty laid back rather than grading (namely due cause I can't grade shit to save my life), as well as my views may not agree or disagree with my co-hosts, but still, this is what I have. Alexandre Roi (Chaos Sonic) Seig (Sai) Robin Oberonson (OP) Lucine (Yui) Elise Moonwort & Corbin (Radio) Catriona Taghaim (Doggo)
  13. I won't lie nor try to fight that score. I got a better score in 2017, so I don't mind this score this year, namely cause it was my bad on dropping the ball. You are correct that I could've just stopped posting content, but I did feel like if I did, I would've just been possibly just smacking the event in the face, plus I didn't want myself to end up being like others who would start strong and end up fading away before the event ended. Maybe I should've, or shouldn't have...but either way, I made a choice so yeah. As for the talk of FGO and my host, well that part I will attribute to me being honest with everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know what was the reason for my long absence. Was this a good idea? Probably not, but I wanted to be honest...plus I am definitely attributing FGO with some grief cause they did this during the event (probably not something I should've done to begin with, but its whatever). This is also just the half of this, Yui. I only told you the FGO part before...another reason was because I had a slight relapse on emotions because of my dad's passing. That sort of also caused my activity to drop a bit...but I was still trying to be determined to see the event through...cause that's just me. This is all going to be something I wish and plan to fix up next year. Boss Monster or brand new Monster, I can assure you: I'll be striving for perfection for my next performance.
  14. For some reason, either Ainz or Bakura. I dunno why, but that's what happened. And don't be sorry (or promise to be more obvious next time)! These types of twists in reveals is the best part of these events!
  15. Was going to wait until more showed up, but decided to go right on ahead... IT WAS ME!!! I WAS IVAN OO- ....yeah, won't continue on that one, not this time. Now, lemme just start by saying this: THIS actually surprises me. I honestly thought Segata would've been someone else, so kudos to you on keeping me guessing. I actually enjoyed you donning the role of SEGA Saturn's spokesperson. >Uncle Death and Kurumi These were two that...well, the first one I guessed almost immediately (along with one other). That reason being because I've seen the one avatar that Uncle Death used one other time...and that's when REP used it. And mind you, this was a LONG while ago, surprisingly I remembered it. As for Kurumi...sorta figured it would be Yui. It just screams something he'd use. >Carlos ...yo, Thar, that was pretty weird...like I dunno what even that was. So no, I didn't expect you. (More to come in another post when others reveal)
  16. Yet again, Randy found himself in this predicament. Sounds of different movements and shifting were enhanced as he laid there on the ground. He wanted to move, but couldn't. This happened when he fought Yveltal...yet again, this was the outcome. BGM "I have let loose the bonds of earth, to sail on the wings of the wind...alola 'oe." The young Torracat Randy stood there, beside his mother, a blubbering mess of a gijinka. He stood there, wishing that this whole thing here was a nightmare that he could wake up from, but alas he couldn't. It was real and he had to face this reality: his father passed. Something so small but yet impacted him greatly, the heart being such a fragile part of the body. As the funeral ended, the attendees and his mother began to walk off...but Randy stayed, staring at the place that he was buried. Once more, he felt himself start to cry. He felt his whole world crashing down around him. The week before, Sol Mask was forced into retirement...and then his father passing. He began to shake his head, sobbing and growling slightly. "I-It's not fair...it's not fair! Dad...I needed you here." he muttered, wiping tears out of his eyes. "...I-I'm not strong enough...t-t-to do this..." "...not sure he was expecting ya to be, kid." Randy stopped suddenly, tears still streaming down his face, looking up to see Charlie. He approached the Torracat and placed a hand on his head. "Your father, he was one of the good ones. ...the best friend I've had since we were young. Always aspired to be a fighter, but never had the drive to go all the way through." "H-How come...?" Charlie chuckled, crouching down into a sitting position. "Surprisingly, it was because me and him couldn't beat one another. As terrible as a reason that is, that was what he said was holding him back. Ya see, when he fought and lost in something, he always took it as a learning experience. For instance, he fought a Mr. Mime before. Yeah, he was part Dark and the opponent was a Fairy, that match up wasn't grand. He lost miserably." Randy sat down beside Charlie, sniffling slightly as he wiped a few tears off his face. "...d-did he fight him again?" "Of course. But when he did the second time, he was much wiser." Charlie nodded, crossing his arms slightly. "He figured out during the first battle that the Mr. Mime tended to trash talk along with messing and getting in your father's head. Let's say, it worked. But during the second bout, your father learned a bit more discipline and was able to tune out the crap his opponent spewed out...plus, he was actually able to strike at him with a move that was effective against the Mr. Mime." "...s-so he adapted?" "Exactly. In this case, he both adapted physically with learning Shadow Claw and mentally by blocking out the distractions." Charlie nodded with a smile. Then he began to sigh. "Randy, I know I'm not him, believe me I wish I do. And I also wish I could bring him back...but right now, this is a situation you need to use and take a lesson from him. It's a learning experience now and you have to attempt to adapt to this new outcome." BGM Randy sat there in silence, looking at Charlie before his gaze hit the grave. Then he lifted up his eyes and watched the setting sun begin it's descent into the ocean's horizon. Finally he stood up, having one last tear fall to the ground, before he had his fists clench tightly at his sides. "Hmmm? What's up kid?" The Torracat finally turned around and looked at the Primeape with a serious determination in his eyes. "Charlie...please...I want you to help me become a fighter...a wrestler." he said, looking back towards the setting sun. "...I want to be like my dad...strong, courageous, and more importantly...I want to continue his hoʻoilina hoʻoilina...his legacy. And I want to fulfill my dream in the process." Charlie looked at Randy, scoffing slightly but only shook his head. "Become a fighter just like your old man? And in the process, take a stand against what happened against your hero?" he asked, seeing Randy's face in shock. "Yeah, the old man told me about that little ambition of yours. Still, if you want to go down this path, it ain't going to be easy. I'll be tough on you and your training, you still in?" Randy only nodded firmly, exhaling deeply. "Yes sir. I'm not turning back now. Sol Mask said...it's about going with your gut...even if it's not akamai...the smart thing to do. Dad...believed in me, so whether or not me fighting and becoming a wrestler isn't the smartest thing, my gut is saying that's the path I should go." The Primeape laughed before standing up. With that, he turned and walked off with Randy tailing behind him, looking to continue his father's legacy and to adapt to this new situation. "I...battle. Now...execution. Recover...strength. Next time...fight...me. Meet...death...quickly..." That voice broke through to Randy yet again, the Lucario's. He began to stir and shift again, finally opening his eyes a bit and seeing that this Lucario was now gone. He let out a deep groan, slowly sitting up. Unfortunately, so many of them were badly wounded...clinging onto life. He sat up and began to groan and huff, his eyes looking up at the sky at this point. ...adapt...take the loses...try and adapt...a winning solution... Randy thought, before muttering something. "...go with your gut...even if it's not a-akamai..."
  17. The Discord is open and we now have a full OOC. I'll be bringing in my character here soon that way we at least have one down that you all can look at. ...And be with me, for Evermore
  18. OP: MADKID - RISE ED: SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]: Yosh - scaPEGoat -Co-Hosted by Saikazo and Yui- -Special thanks to Yui for the "Project Crimson" style world building assistance- “Monster…” A word that people call those in this life who have either done horrendous acts or those who cannot and could not live within our society… In the world of Grimm, there has always been two species of sentient beings of life: Humans and Jaegers. The Jaegers, they were the beings that humans shunned and thought lower of. They came from backgrounds of that of creatures that roamed this world before, but humans only referred to them as of nothing but…”monsters”, creatures not fit to roam the world they had. How we wish we truly knew what monsters were back then… Before the turn of the century, something was uncovered within the southern part of Grimm, in the region of Wilhelm…something we were never to uncover: the Twilight’s Gate. Released upon Grimm were the creatures and monsters that haunted the deepest depths of our minds: Fahlyn. These creatures of darkness descended upon Grimm and began to plunge it into everlasting darkness. The true fate of the world of Grimm rests within the palms of the very ones the humans labeled “monsters”…it lies with the Jaegers. The Jaegers, in essence, are descendants of the creatures that roamed Grimm before the common age…the Protectors of Grimm. And with the Fahlyn returning to wreak havoc upon the world…what better to combat them…then a “monster”? However, it was obvious that most of these Jaegers chose not to heed the call to action. After all, why help protect a world that had scorned and shunned them? Enter Prof. Eric Jekyll, a descendant of an old Jaeger protector along with an infamous monster hunter, who has abducted quite a number of potential Jaegers to assist in saving the world of Grimm. You have been brought into the fold of Prof. Jekyll’s organization: A.R.C.H. (Abnormalities Response and Counterattack Hunters)...charged with defeating the Fahlyn...or to simply be killed by the doctor and his organization. As you listen to your own heart and mind, you shall engage the world that shunned you, and protect them from this darkness. Humans shall aid you when they can, whilst others shall turn their backs upon you as they’ve done before. Still…one thing is deathly clear: Grimm needs its protectors...it needs you. 19. Rei waited with bated breath, the moment these lifeforms appeared. She kept quiet for a long period of time...until finally they could hear them speak in their own native tongue. "Oh? ...oh! Wonderful! You've got the translator installed, then! Now, let me try that introduction again. We are the Vruul Republic, and I am this warband's leader, High Warlord Thakto. You don't seem to be Bolhe scum, so we're pleased to meet you, mysterious creatures. I don't really know a lot about interstellar affairs, but if you have any questions, ask. But first, identify yourselves." She was excited at this, and began to open her notebook up yet again and resumed to write everything she heard. Of course, she did her best to spell the pronouns that this creature was using: Vruul, Thakto, Bolhe...at this point, she just spelt them the way she thought they sounded. If anything, she could probably find a way to rewrite this section properly for the official reports. This is seeming interesting! she thought, scribbling down a few more notes. "We are humans, of Sol and the planets surrounding it." "A republic with a High Warlord as a high ranking official? Are you conquerors, or are you diplomats? We humans tend to be quite the diplomats ourselves. If you are the same, I'm sure we'll get along just fine!" The captain and Julius seemed to give the basic answers and questions, at least from Rei's point of view, but right now...she had another question for this race of creatures. "May I ask a question myself?" she piped in. "You seemed to be assuming we were allied with or possibly a part of something called...Bol...he? I really hope I didn't butcher that pronunciation. A-Anyway! Could you possibly tell us what those are, that way we could steer clear of them if we happen to end up running into them."
  20. "You think that one of the most popular teen actors is disliked...in a school full of teens? If you must know, though, this was probably set up by his fans." "Well, I've seen at least one or two today that didn't seem all that enthused with him being around here nor enjoying his personality, to be honest." Chase admitted with a chuckle, definitely recalling that whole ordeal before she came to bring Weston to the transports back to the dorm. Still, he was probably quite surprised at hearing it was possibly the fans that set it up. Then again...this makes sense. If it's just a bunch of teenage girls who are completely fawning over this guy, no wonder they'd do something like this to his roommate. he thought, nodding slowly. "A designer, I see...My name is Aya Tolah. As with most I'm here to be a pilot...You're not attempting to start a 'relationship' are you? Because I am not interested. I am only here to learn." This caused Chase to blink a bit. A relationship? It even caused the young man to laugh a bit, before shaking his head and waving his hand dismissively. "No, no...nothing like that. It's more or less trying to be friendly, Aya. Believe me, I don't think I could handle a relationship right now. Plus, they'd probably get upset with me for blabbering on about my designs and mech talk if anything."
  21. The plan went smoothly. Connor's little trap definitely helped stop the Machinedramon as well as a combination effort by the rest of the group. But at the same time, this strange hooded individual showed up and dealt the final blow. As the whole thing went down, both Chris and Quill looked at each other gave one another a high-five. "Awesome job there Quill!" Chris smirked, seeing the Herissmon smile a bit from the praise. "You too, Chris! Looks like trusting your friend's trap was the best course of action!" With a firm nod, Chris made his way down from the platforms with Quill following right behind him as both made their way to meet back up with the others...coming in just at the right time for the hooded figure to speak. "I am Omnimon Alter-S, but you may just refer to me as Omnimon, or the Knight of the Wind. It seems to be a popular nickname for me," Omnimon Alter-S? Huh...sounds like a complicated name to me...then again, must mean that there's a different version of him if that's the case. Chris thought, not noticing Quill walking away from him for a moment. These "Digimon" are pretty interesting just with knowing something like that... At the same time, this Omnimon or "Knight of the Wind", began to do some sort of exposition and explaining what was going on. This wasn't something called the Digital World, as Mr. Henderson first thought, but rather...it was the real world everyone knew and loved, fusing and merging with the Digital World. So the "Great Merger" was a pretty good way to describe the whole situation. Nevertheless, he then began to drop a few pronouns, "Royal Knights" and the "Olympus XIII", but it ended up meaning that the safe haven was in a location in the U.S. Unfortunately, they were in Pennsylvania and the haven was California. This made Chris sigh greatly, his hand running through his hair. "Well...haven't exactly been on a road trip since our last game..." Chris began, shaking his head. "Buuuut all the way to California? That's crazy..." Soon he'd look down after feeling a tug at his pants leg. There he saw Quill, with a small device in his hand. "Quill...where'd you get this?" "Over there!" Quill explained, pointing to where Machinedramon's remains were, namely within the gap. "I think this is another one of those devices that becomes a Digivice! Here!" "Well, guess we'll test this out." Chris smiled, before reaching down and grabbing a hold of the device in his hand. Almost on cue, the device began to morph and change shape and style. Now in his hand where the bulky looking brick of a device was, was now a small slimmer device, color coated with a silver base and it's buttons and outline was a yellowish gold. "Wow...that's pretty awesome." New wielder verified. Scanning for available Digimon... ... ... Digimon found, now scanning. The device quickly showed these words on the screen, before a light shot out and began to scan Quill. And within moments, a small pixelated image of Quill appeared on the screen of the device, along with some stats about him. Calibration complete. Digivice now online. "Hehe, now that's pretty cool." Chris mused, tossing the device in the air to catch it again, putting it in his pocket. "Guess it's official now, Quill. You and me are partners, as you would call it." "Awesome!! We're partners...hey...uh...is your friend okay?" Quill at first being excited about this, only to point the direction of Connor who seemed to be having a rough time. Chris looked over and began to make his way towards the young man. "Chulainn, hey...are you alright?"
  22. Randy, finally steeling himself and grabbing a hold of his nerves, he stood up. He exhaled greatly, before moving slighty to be behind the Lucario...and then rushed at him. He knew that fighting a Lucario was a troublesome situation, but at the same time, Marie was down and now Keanu was down. The next step was Nani...so he had to attempt something. The Lucario at first didn't do anything. But when Randy got near he turned and stepped to the side. While doing so he brought his left fist into Randy's stomach. Randy yet again felt the wind get knocked out of him, as he coughed up a great deal. Still, the Incineroar didn't budge. At this point, he couldn't. "N-Nani...get them...out of here." he growled. With the Lucario near him, he swung his right fist coated in a Brick Break right at the gijinka. Instead of trying to block or dodge the Lucario pulled his right hand back and thrust the palm, covered in aura, into Randy's chest and launched the Incineroar through the air. He just hit him with a Force Palm. The Incineroar coughed again, being launched into the air by the Lucario's Force Palm. He landed back on the ground, growling and groaning greatly. "D-Damn...it..." he huffed, sitting up slightly. "...this...i-is getting me...nowhere..." BGM The Lucario began to approach Randy, at just a leisurely pace, not rushing forward like before. Randy sat up finally, watching the Lucario approach him at quite the leisurely pace. He could feel the fire burning now, Blaze was active. But right now, it wouldn't be enough. This Lucario, it was different than any other he fought before. And given that he only fought one other one, this was definitely different. He began to exhale slowly, at this point not even reacting like usual. "...you...you're strong...w-way strong..." he let out a weak chuckle. "...g-give it to me straight, brah...I-I can't even beat you...right now...can I?" "No, you can't." Lucario said, flatly. "I will finish this now." Then he darts forward at extreme speed. His face showed no emotion as he brought his fist into the side of Randy's head. Randy felt the strike, as he felt himself, once feeling hot due to Blaze...now felt himself getting knocked out cold. This was just like with Yveltal. Back then, he had a terrible feeling with that gijinka too...and yet, he fought her...and personally lost. Sure, the others handled it...but he took that as a strike for him personally. He knew his pride then had taken a hit...and now? This was a second strike for him and his pride was taken down another peg. D-Damn it...I-I know why...Marie did it...but damnit... he thought, making out small shadows as he blacked out. ...S-Solgaleo...Guardians of Alola...please...please save us...i-if not us...j-just them....protect...m-my...o-oha-... The Incineroar then fell out of consciousness, in mid-thought.
  23. "THIS EXAM IS OVER! A student has been critically injured." "ALL STUDENTS ARE TOO EVACUATE THE BUILDING! I REPEAT! ALL STUDENTS ARE TO EVACUATE THE BUILDING IMMEDIATELY!" Yuudai was shocked to hear this going on, and even before anything happened in his battle. He looked around and clenched his fists tightly. This didn't feel right...who got injured? He shook his head and smacked his face with his palms. Focus Shiba...you heard her, got to evacuate. he thought, whistling at Kabo. "HEY! Napalm! Game over, we gotta evacuate. Guess this means you don't have to deal with me anymore, so yeah...silver lining." Yuudai simply moved ahead of Kabo, trying to find Hibiki and her partner. "Hey! Hibiki! We need to evacuate!" Kibo "ALL STUDENTS ARE TOO EVACUATE THE BUILDING! I REPEAT! ALL STUDENTS ARE TO EVACUATE THE BUILDING IMMEDIATELY!" "Kibo, help me evacuate the others! I'm sure Pip will be on his way to help!" Kibo nodded, bowing slightly. "Y-Yes ma'am Lily!" he began to move, giving Taro a quick look. "Taro, you should try and help evacuate the others too...w-we could definitely use the help...u-unless your going to help your classmate." Miku Miku was soaring towards the opposing enemies...with her Quirk she knew she'd be fine and even with the orb. While she couldn't naturally see it, she assumed that something was thrown. Katsurou's partner was Perry, the guy to change things to invisible. Naturally, Miku assumed to dodge mid-air the orb from Katsurou. She was going to go right for them and going to knock one out...however... "ALL STUDENTS ARE TOO EVACUATE THE BUILDING! I REPEAT! ALL STUDENTS ARE TO EVACUATE THE BUILDING IMMEDIATELY!" Miku heard this and he moved slightly, beginning to land on the ground, landing on her feet and began to skid along the ground. Quickly turning around, she held her hands up as if to say time-out. "Hold it!! This can probably wait till later. We need to evacuate, now. DIANA!! LET'S GO!!"
  24. The next morning for Jet, surprisingly brought him to wake up with a yawn, after being awoken by the sound of what he could only describe as an injured animal getting their leg getting stuck in a door after someone slammed said door shut. For some reason, he actually got a good night's sleep, shocking him in the process. Could it have been due to the new location? Maybe it was the strange encounter with Mr. E he had last night that really just made him want to forget that and get rest? Either way, Jet felt a bit refreshed. With another yawn, Jet made his way out of the room, only to be led with the rest of the group downstairs. Surprisingly, he heard a few murmurs about there being some sort of hauntings the night before, to which Jet only shrugged this off. He actually got sleep last night, so if there was such a thing, it probably would've tortured him to no end...which it didn't. Therefore: they were pulling his leg. "Today, we're going to be doing the leg work, looking for those blood ritualists. The two cities we're tackling are Turbo City and Hearthome," Jet immediately felt himself cringe when he heard the words Turbo City and his hand began to slowly rub along his right arm, grazing his mark. "Let's talk about Turbo first. We're planning on sending Shannon, Jet, Tora, and Zirco there. The area is normally well guarded, as we have the current duel champ living there, but since his master, Jack Atlas, has disappeared, Kyouji hasn't been keeping an eye on the area. He won't even return our calls, the poor thing. So, we'll have you four check the area out, and if you meet Kyouji, try to talk some sense into him. I'd say duel him but...Well, I don't think that's a duel any of you could win right now." Yet again, Jet cringed when Mr. E told him that he would be going to Turbo. It was almost like he couldn't ever escape that place, always finding ways to drag his sorry ass right back in. Still, he'd be with Zirco, who seemed to be the only individual at the moment he considered...was the word friend appropriate? Acquaintance? Associate? Whatever the word, least he had someone to talk to. "Well, that's today's plans! Any questions?" Y-Yeah...h-h-how do I get out of this c-c-chicken shit outfit...? That was the first thought in Jet's mind, as he kept holding his right arm gently. Truthfully, going somewhere else like Hearthome would've been amazing, but alas, the universe wanted to screw him over again. With a sigh, he held up a hand. "Y-Yes sir...I-I have one." he began. "I-If he doesn't...c-c-cooperate...w-what's the next move?"
  25. How did it come to this? Gavin's fight apparently was against a Data Fighter...which was a young girl with a large kanabo in her hands. Luckily he rolled off to the right, surprisingly not being able to do much in the realm of an opening move at this point. After all, this crazy Data Fighter lunged at him with great fervor and tenacity. He didn't understand why of all the different possibilities of Fighters, it was: A: a Data Fighter, when there must've been someone on this world that could've easily pulled off what the other Fighters could... B: why it was a young girl...CARRYING A KANABO!!! At the same time, VEX, assumed this might've been Mauvache being a conniving and heartless individual, just presenting this as punishment for Gavin for attempting to help with that whole Officer Kate case. But for the both of them, they decided to cast their thoughts about this situation aside and focus on the battle at hand. "VEX...deploy the surveillance bots...gotta see if this Data Fighter has a weakness." Gavin muttered, immediately seeing the bots deploy and keep their distance, but being trained right onto this Kira Fighter. "And something tells me, even though she's data...she's probably not going to be hackable, right?" "A fair assumption to make, Gavin. Things on this world are quite different than our own, so this seems like a plausible assumption." VEX nodded. "If anything, the surveillance bots could possibly find a chink in her proverbial armor, so to speak." "Until then though...we need to do our best to keep our distance." Gavin sighed, pulling out his pistol and proceeding to blast energy shots straight at the Data Fighter, making sure to keep his distance.
