The Big Gay

fRNfGui.png
"If you don't go hard, why play at all?"

Name: Ichigo Shimada
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Gunpla: Number 2

Appearance:

9buIRzR.png

Height: 5'5"
Weight: 133 pounds

Ichigo is far-sighted, and as a result wears glasses when reading or doing gunpla work.

Personality:

Ichigo is a girl armed with a creative talent, honesty, and generous amounts of positive spirit. She's aware she's a girl with plenty of skills and the potential to get far in life, and does her best to keep a positive outlook because of it. As a result of her good nature, it's not all that hard to get along with Ichigo, though she's not quite the type to interact outside of the circles she joins unless there's an obvious common interest between her and whoever she's talking to. Luckily, she's a girl with fairly diverse interests. She likes to play racing or adventure games, draw art, and of course, all things related to gunpla. She even took up track to keep in shape. Talking about something she's interested in is a great way to quickly break the ice with Ichigo, so it's hardly a surprise that she's interested in the well being of her fellow club members. And it shows, as does most anything Ichigo's feeling at the time.

Being very much the type to wear her heart on her sleeve, it's rarely a challenge to tell what Ichigo's feeling at any point in time. Between her body language, tone of voice, and even the things that she says, reading Ichigo's mood is no challenge. Her two most frequent emotions seem to be happy and sad, and it's rare for her to be outright angry at someone or something. Most of the time, if she's not feeling so great, she'll seek out support from someone else, which is for the best since it doesn't take much to snap her out of a bad mood most of the time. The things that tend to get her upset are also pretty simple. If life isn't quite going her way, she gets upset, though she can take minor inconveniences in stride as long as they don't pile up too quickly.

When something big happens, or if something goes awry because of Ichigo, her mood sinks quite a bit deeper than usual. With her honest and helpful nature, Ichigo likes to be seen by others as reliable, and any blunder that could ruin that image can easily cause her to question herself. She gets apathetic and lethargic the more she lets those kinds of negative thoughts swirl around in her head, no longer bothering to really put in her usual vigorous effort. Which can in turn cause her to make more mistakes, and sink further into a funk. She can theoretically snap out of these herself, but it's not a fast process by any means, so it's often better to give her the nudges needed to bring her back to her usual energetic and hard-working, hard-playing self.

Biography:

Born into a well-off family, Ichigo lived a good childhood. While she didn't know her mother very long before the woman up and left, she was lucky enough to have a loving father, passionate about both his daughter's best interests and about gunpla. Her early interest in them was in fact due to proximity with her father, though in her younger years, she never quite understood the technical stuff. She did, however, understand how to sculpt parts. When she was seven, Ichigo's father gifted her with the tools necessary to create gunpla parts, as well as plenty of materials to get started with. Most of her early parts weren't that great, but a combination of her sharp mind and determination saw her soon doing far better than the other kids her age. Ichigo's first gunpla - Strawberry - was a custom model of her own creation, with the technical side of things being handled by her father and a trusted co-worker of his. At the ripe age of thirteen, Ichigo was confident enough between her crafting skills and years of watching pros battle that she wanted to tackle the world of gunpla battles herself.

Tragically, Strawberry was damaged beyond repair two years later when Ichigo - in an overeager rush to join Tomino High's gunpla club the day she started attending the school - ran face-first into the door and fell onto her back from the recoil, crushing her rather frail gunpla completely. For her first week with the club, Ichigo had no gunpla of her own, and for reasons he wouldn't specify, her father wouldn't let her buy or build a new one. The reason became clear however, when he gifted her with a new gunpla he made entirely on his own. Dubbed Number 2, it was an incredibly sturdy gunpla built so that Ichigo wouldn't accidentally break it, though its design was rather... painfully bland. As such, she spent the next couple of weeks prettying it up a bit while keeping the overall design intact, with her only major modification being to replace the top half of the "head" with a cockpit-like hole, complete with a little pilot sitting in it. Getting used to the slow and steady Number 2 compared to the speedy glass cannon Strawberry wasn't an easy task, but once Ichigo had gotten it down, she proved to be fairly competent at using her gunpla.

In the year since joining the club, while Ichigo hasn't exactly won any championships or anything, she's proven perfectly capable of holding her own in a gunpla battle, and also went on to become one of the school track team's finest runners. While her athletic and academic pursuits are only a second priority next to gunpla, Ichigo is confident she can continue to stay on top of all three of those.

Gunpla:

Coa0GVE.png

Name: Number 2

Model Number: NM-2

Classification: Close Quarters Combat Mobile Suit

Armaments:

Hands: The hands of Number 2 are big, reinforced, and attached to arms that can make a full 360 degrees of rotation. This makes them the perfect tool to beat someone down with if they get within arm's reach of the gunpla.

Equipment & Features:

Sheer Size: Number 2 is a gunpla of significant size, being considerably larger than the average gunpla model.

Glide Tail: Seeing as it doesn't have legs, this is Number 2's only means of movement. The "tail" of the gunpla is capable of generating just lift to keep Number 2 off the ground, allowing it to fly and hover around the battlefield, even if it's pretty slow due to the mech's sheer weight.

Energy Shield: The glowing bulb at the front of Number 2 is capable of producing a barrier to protect itself from attacks. This shield is mostly created to protect from frontal attacks, though fully-enclosing barriers are also possible at the cost of more energy. Most effective against projectiles.

Pilot: Purely a cosmetic modification, but one Ichigo is especially proud of. A small figurine of a mech pilot sits in the open top of Number 2, coldly staring ahead at her opponent. The name Ichigo settled on for this pilot seems to be Blueberry.

Special Attacks:

Barrier Box: By overloading Number 2's shield generator, Ichigo can create a sizable shield around her gunpla, easily big enough to fit itself and another gunpla. The shield can be broken with some effort, but until it is, nothing gets in or out. Since this takes more energy than the shield generator can normally use at once, Number 2 won't be able to create more shields for a while after using this move.

Misc. Info:

  • Pretty good at drawing, but her talent is mostly used up on lesbian art. Claims to actually make a decent amount of money in commissions.
  • Has been learning how to do the technical work for gunpla in recent months, as she plans to make Number 2 a better gunpla herself.

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Gunpla: GNY-001FC Gundam Astraea Critasx393wz.jpgAppearance

Spoiler

Orz0T0E.jpg

Height: 5'6"

Weight: 137 lbs

Depicted above is Shun's general school outfit, which is complete with a pair dark sun-burnt orange sneakers.

x393wz.jpgPersonality

Spoiler

Shun used to be a shy kid who did his best to keep himself away from people and kids his age he didn't know (the general feeling most get when they move to a different location and away from their friends). However, after meeting Yasu, his demeanor changed to being quite the upbeat and friendly type of individual, more or less shedding the shyness. Extremely laidback as well as being loyal to a fault, Shun is the type of guy that's easy to get along with, especially if Gunpla is involved.

When Gunpla is involved, Shun can be quite a conversationalist, talking about his favorite Gundam series plus talking about his or even complimenting the general ability of another's skill in crafting their Gunpla or their skills in battle. For Shun, Gunpla is a way to try and gauge a person, least that's what he says he was told by Yasu. In a Gunpla Battle, Shun just has fun with it, all while doing his best to try and keep his model from being too destroyed. And while he can at least run maintenance on his Gunpla, he still isn't 100% skilled at repairing a pure broken model and his worst fear is that his Astraea Critas will end up being completely demolished and he'll never be able to fix it.

x393wz.jpgBiography

Spoiler

"...it was thanks to him I even got on this road to begin with."

Shun moved to Tokyo when he was of the age of six from Hokkaido, when his parents divorced and his aunt and uncle were given custody of him. A new location for a new lease of life, though Shun wasn't too thrilled about it, namely because he left behind all his friends and was the new kid around. This caused him to become incredibly shy and made him start to keep to himself. However, that's about the time he met his best friend: Yasu Souma. The two became friends almost instantly, despite Shun's slow reaction to it. But nevertheless, the two boys became friends and Shun was introduced to Gunpla soon after.

While in Hokkaido, Shun did see Gunpla here and there but never truly experienced it. Thanks to Yasu, the young boy was able to be graced with this strong love of Gunpla and all it's forms, though what really struck a tone with him was the Gunpla Battles. It was something about seeing these amazing creations being used in such a beautiful manner was something that filled him with wonder. It was during a match that they watched of the one and only Meijin Kawaguchi and his Amazing Red Warrior against some other Gunpla, that Yasu made a declaration of his dream, to reach the top of the Gunpla Battle world. Shun said that would be an amazing dream and the two did their absolute best to get to that point, even getting their own Gunpla: a Gundam Exia and Gundam Astraea Type F for Yasu and Shun respectively. The two built and battled against each other and others just to try to get better while also just having fun in the process.

However, Shun would have a revelation soon enough. Out of the times he knew Yasu, he knew the boy would get sick a lot, but not to the extent of why. Yasu had cancer and it was starting to get worse. Shun was devastated to know that not only did his best friend have cancer, but to know he had to go away to get treatment. Both boys were just upset at the whole situation, but Yasu did something to help Shun: he took their Gunpla and put them together. A few parts of his Exia being put on Shun's Astraea and even giving him a few weapons and equipment to help out, Yasu handed Shun the newly constructed Gunpla and told him to continue his dream in his stead. With a new Gunpla in hand that showed off the bond between him and his friend, Shun went on to try and get his friend's dream to come true.

After applying for Tomino High School, he immediately sought entrance into their Gunpla Club. He wanted to try and get into a few competitions on a team, knowing this would definitely give him the boost he needed to try and reach the level that he was at. At the present time, he finds that most of the club has graduated and is only left with himself and two others with the club president...and with the Gunpla Exhibition Expo around the corner, he really hopes he'll be up to the challenge.

Apperance

Spoiler

w3pIvn3.jpg

A Gunpla that is more or less just a HG 1/144 GNY-001F Gundam Astraea Type F with some HG 1/144 GN-001 Gundam Exia parts added to the Gunpla to keep it original.

(More images of the Gunpla in question.)

Armaments

Spoiler
  • Proto GN Sword: A large physical blade enveloped in GN Particles, and has properties of both a beam saber and a solid sword. Due to its large size, it was designed to be foldable so as not to be a hindrance when not in use.
  • Samurai Swords: Based on the two samurai swords utilized by the Segoku Astray, these were added to the Astraea Critas' weaponry to make it unique to Shun's mixed fighting style.
  • GN Shield: Made of durable E-Carbon, the GN Shield is better at absorbing shocks from attack due to being attached to the forearm and thus maneuverable. In addition, GN Particles are coated on the shield's surface. This not only improves the shield's anti-beam capabilities, but can also magnetize physical projectiles, redirecting their destructive power along the shield's surface
  • GN Beam Rifle: A particle beam gun that shoots out high energy GN Particles. The GN Beam Rifle has high particle consumption, and receives power from the suit via connecting to a forearm socket during use. Due to the forearm connector being movable, the GN Beam Rifle can remain attached to the forearm while the Astraea Critas has other weapon in its hand like the GN Beam Saber.
  • GN Vulcan: Mounted on each of Astraea Critas' forearms, the pair of GN Vulcans fire weak beams. Capable of being rapid fired continuously, they are mainly used for restraining the enemy's movement and the likes. However, they are a threat to mobile weapons without E-Carbon armor.
  • Beam Sabers: Close combat weapon, a pair are on the Astraea Critas' rear waist.

Misc. Infox393wz.jpgShun's Theme | Gunpla Theme

  • Shun's name is translated into the following: Shun - With the following kanji "駿", it's translated as "fast", Noboru - With the following kanji "", it's translated as "rise, ascend".
  • The name given to this character, Shun, and the given appearance was a jab at the trope of the Red Ones Go Faster. Not only this, the fact that the Astraea Critas is red and it's Trans-Am System was also a reference to this.
  • Shun's favorite Gundam series are: Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, and Mobile Suit Gundam 00.
  • The Gunpla's name: Critas is shortened from the word "autoctoritas", Latin for "authority". This is a contrast to the Gundam Exia, the Astraea Type F's twin (a good word to use here), who's name is Greek for "authority", "exousia".
  • Despite Shun using the Astraea Critas as his main Gunpla and using it to battle, he has yet to develop any special attack for it yet.

Looking to have this up and running by this next weekend (Jan. 25-27th will be somewhere for the start up date).

That said, please try to have your apps up and ready this week. Note: these are for the PC characters not the NPCs, so don't worry about those. We'll be running with those when we can. Right now, I'm just worried about the Player Characters so we can start this.

Spoiler

Character

Name: Amane Souto, (想人象 Sōto Amane)

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: Dirty blonde hair, amber eyes, petite body (less than 4 ft. tall).

Personality: Pretty nice girl and optimistic to no end, tends to be cheery in life and, in fact, it's very hard to see her depressed or sad. She is also somewhat innocent and not really good to read the intentions of people. Betrayal is one of the things that make her feel down. However, she has a tendency to change up when it comes to giant monsters or mechas. It's pretty common to see her fired up when it comes to Gunpla, giant monsters, etc... And she tends to get easily into the heat of the battle. She does seem more antagonistic when that happens, as she tends to slip into an "Ojou" persona, with noblewoman laugh and all included. She loves Kaijus as much as she loves Gundam. The former is her passion since little, the latter is more of a fill in (not a monster, but has advantages when it comes to rampaging). She also thinks that giant monsters can answer anything... if they can't maybe giant robots can.

Biography: She was always curious about everything. Her first adventure was following a small snake out of her home when she was 4 and ending up in the large backyard of her neighbor, who had a large Great Dane. The moment she saw it barking at her, while initially feeling scared because she was young, she slowly grew onto it. While her parents were pretty much treating her like a regular child, including magical girl shows and all, she felt attracted to the giant creatures the girls fought. She even got into plays with other girls where she was the monster bringer queen. She even began to build some stuff like claws and the like for the games, mostly out of paper and cardboard.

She got more and more ingenious with age, as well as more... divergent: She was a nice girl through and through, but she loved to play the role of an evil queen every now and then. While other girls grew with being the heroines, she grew with the wish of making her own Godzilla. Not for world domination, mind you, but because she just wanted to have a giant monster, or even become one. Yes, she got to know about Kaijus and even realized she wanted them because of the fighting. She began to approach boys in that aspect, usually playing the monster making villain in the plays (they tried having her playing a heroine or a damsel in distress; it did not work). She was still mainly into monsters, until...

She was around 10 years old when she caught her older brother watching "nostalgia" anime, which was his liking... and it was an episode of Mobile Suit Gundam. While he kind of felt guilty of her catching up, she felt amazed by the "metallic monsters" in the screen. While he tried quickly to get her into the whole story and lore of the series, she was just into the robots fighting each other. He even showed her his Gunpla, which she quickly tried to have battling each other up. He got kind of in a fit, as she just mashed Gundams into each other without much of the lore of each mecha. She then got a lesson in plot, but she focused more on the mobile suits themselves and also a bit on the "Char clone" stuff, because they looked villainous enough for her liking.

She then asked for more toys like his. He pulled out a ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka kit he hasn’t got the time to assemble yet and gave it to her. If she could make it without breaking it, it was all for her, but if she screwed it up, she would have to pay him back for the damage... She got sleep deprived, but after 10 hours of assembling, painting and even adding the water decals as the instructions said (it was a brand new model; also, her brother was kind of brainless for giving it up to her), she was done, having enough time to admire it before passing out. After waking up and seeing her brother's note saying "Good job" on her night table next to the assembled Gunpla.

Her first Gunpla.

She then went around the city looking for a Gunpla store, while wearing a self-made version of Char's uniform. She eventually found her brother's provider and asked him to get to his providers. She eventually got to save the little money she got from running errands and all to buy herself more models. But she didn't feel like filling her hole. She then got some stuff together, including her first build and her first buy (ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka and Wing Gundam Ver.Ka) as well as other random parts she edited herself to make herself a giant monster... which she then decided to make into a half monster, half mobile suit. She called it... Imagine. A Solid Imagine... Gundam...

Gunpla: ASMS-010WS Solid Imagine Gundam (MG kit-bash of MG models MSZ-010 ZZ-Gundam Ver.Ka and XXXG-01W Wing Gundam Ver.Ka with custom parts)

Misc. info

  • Her name in Japanese is a remake of the Japanese word for "imagination" (想像 Sōzō), which is also the origin for the name of her Gunpla.
    • Her full name's last two kanjis (the one for her name and the second one for the last name) combine to form the second kanji in the word.
    • Her being a female was kind of a need due to the whole naming convention from earlier, as I only found a female name for it.
  • Given her MS is red and her personality may fit that of a rival, she can qualify as a "Char Clone", making her the first female in that role if that's the case.
    • Her "Char Clone" deal, however, is less about having an actual rivalry but more of villain homage. Even if she has a rival attitude in battle, she's not really antagonistic.
    • She even has a uniform a la Char, with a matching helmet and uniform (her helmet was a copy of Char's before she got her own style).

Gunpla

Name: Solid Imagine Gundam

Model Number: ASMS-010WS

Machine Classification: Custom Transformable Multipurpose Mobile Suit

Manufacturer: It was made by Amane herself, by modding her first built Gunpla and the first one she ever bought. She got the other pieces by mostly altering the ones she had already.

Appearance: The base of the model is the MG MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka, with added stuff from the XXXG-01W Wing Gundam Ver.Ka, as well as some machined parts made to kit-bash both together. Its wiehtIt was repainted all red with several golden details. It has two modes: Suit Mode and Kaiju Mode.

  • Suit Mode: In this mode, the Gundam has a humanoid appearance, which shows clearly the hybridism between both ZZ and Wing Gundams. It has the same size as the ZZ Gundam, but it weighs more (80 tons over ZZ’s 68), mainly due to the new torso having extra mass for the other mode. This mode is less “blocky” than the ZZ, but has less propulsion, so it’s likely to be slower than the ZZ in MS mode.
    • Head: It's the ZZ Gundam's head with a new V-fin that is actually an X and can extend and be detached to be used as a throwing weapon and a hexagonal jewel in place of the High Mega Cannon.
    • Upper Limbs: The arms are the ZZ Gundam's arms with the Wing Gundam's shoulders. The shields on the arms were replaced with shorter shields that can allow the sitting of the modified Wing Gundam shield.
    • Torso: It's a heavily modded Wing Gundam's torso, the chest having been replaced with separate panels that seemingly can expand, which serves the transformation. The large jewel from the Gundam is now in the cross section of the expandable panels.
    • Back: It has the Wing Gundam's wings in a modified support in the form of a foldable frame that also connects the arms and the head. The wings seem to sport a kind of extra support on the top on the form of forearms. It also seems to have a kind of backpack, noticeably smaller than ZZ Gundam’s backpack, which can fit between the wings and hold the beam blaster with no problems. Also, the new backpack no longer connects the torso with the pelvis, allowing for waist rotation.
    • Waist and Legs: It's the same waist and legs as the ZZ Gundam, but modified with a foldable claw on the shins. Also, the connection with the torso was altered to be fixed rather than mobile and it no longer connects to the backpack, allowing for waist movement.
  • Kaiju Mode: In this mode, the Gundam has the form of a bird-like creature, which makes the hybridism a bit more obscured. It’s at least 50% taller than the Gundam mode and also makes sense for the weight it was added. This mode is slower and has less mobility that is compensated for a stronger build. It can still be airborne thanks to the extra boosters it has.
    • Heads: Two made out of the arms of the Gundam, which had been repositioned closer to the clavicle area thanks to the new shoulder frame, the last one made out of the shield, which latches right on top of the Gundam head. They look like bird heads, the middle one looking like having a longer neck due to the unfolding of the neck from underneath the shield. Their beaks seem like drills, the middle one being bigger than the other two.
    • Upper limbs: These are the wings, which are now attached to a pair of arms that are collapsed in Suit Mode. The whole thing moves from the back and relocate right under the Gundam’s shoulders. They have claws that match the ones on the feet and are only available when the arms extend.
    • Torso. The same one as the Gundam, but now it’s expanded outwards to fit the shoulders of the new forearms, as well as extended upwards, in order to give the Gundam a bit of extra height.
    • Back: The space left in the back is filled with the beam blaster, secured in the same port for the backpack, with its muzzle actually being covered by the shield in the neck of the middle head. The backpack moves down to form a tail that extends once it unhooks from the back. It has still access to the boosters that used to be underneath the wings.
    • Legs: They look the same as the transformed legs of the ZZ Gundam, but the vernier on the feet are replaced with an extendable “heel” claw that can form a talon with the knee claws to allow the figure to stand properly, while the center of the soles has the now slightly reduced boosters from the Core Base. The pelvis looks different, though, as it now can split and expand to accommodate the tail between the legs and has new thrusters on the sides in lieu of the side skirts to push the larger Gundam around.

Armaments:

  • Suit Mode:
    • Vulcan Guns: The same guns located in the head of the ZZ Gundam. Specifically two 60 mm. double Vulcan guns, for a total of four guns. The purpose of the Vulcan guns is to serve as a mid-close range defensive weapon. While they can normally do little damage against the armor of a mobile suit, they work better as a means to shoot down incoming missiles. The Vulcan guns can also act as an offensive weapon for small, lightly-armored targets such as ground combat vehicles or attack helicopters. The 60mm double Vulcan guns are operable in mobile suit mode only.
    • X-Wind (Crosswind) Shuriken: A short range throwing weapon that forms from the new V-Fin. It works similar to the Boomerang Stagger from Tryon 3, the difference being that the X-Wind can extend its tips. It’s capable of slicing through small opponents and works as an alternative when the opponent is well protected against beam weapons. It can also be used as a make shift knife for melee combat.
    • Imagine Buster: The main and most powerful weapon of the Imagine Gundam. The Buster Rifle S is stacked on the back of the Imagine Shield, the former acting mostly as the trigger and the latter deploying a custom barrel made out of the ZZ Gundam’s Double Beam Rifle and the High Mega Cannon. Unlike the Buster Rifle, this mode uses the Gundam’s inner reactor to fire a devastating blast, stronger than the ZZ Gundam’s High Mega Cannon and capable of one-shot almost everything in its path. The main drawbacks are the charging time for the blast and the toll it has on the Gundam’s reactor, making it only a weapon for the final attack.
      • Buster Rifle S: Wing Gundam's main weapon, the Buster Rifle, only had cosmetic changes on the frame to fit its storage in the back when not in use. It can fire either a narrow beam akin to that of a beam rifle or a huge beam cannon-like blast that is capable of destroying multiple enemies in one shot. Its energy supply allows only three shots in the latter mode. The power of the buster rifle creates a 150 meter (or cm. in Gunpla size) diameter of high heated energy, and also an electromagnetic field effect. The rifle can be reloaded with spare energy cartridges through a break-action similar to a double-barrel shotgun. Because it is not powered by the Gundam's reactor, it is capable of being used by other mobile suits as well.
      • Imagine Shield: The modified Wing Gundam's Wing Shield, with a new, sharper tip. As a shield, it can not only protect from enemy fire, specially beam attacks, but can also be used as a piercing weapon. It’s the main melee weapon the Suit Mode has available.
        • Flare Breaker: A particle emitter on the front of the Imagine Shield. The emission looks like a fire and has a way to work similar to the Super Napalm projectile that was used once by the RX-78-2, coating the enemy in a flare that can also immobilize a target. It can only be used when the Imagine Cannon is assembled and it’s mainly use to prepare for the finisher, as a way to counter the weakness of the loading.
  • Kaiju Mode:
    • Sever Claws: The feet and hands of the Kaiju Mode, strong metal claws that were designed to grab and hold. They are strong enough to cause severe damage on a mobile suit by pressure alone. In Suit Mode, the claws can be used as knee knives, due to the limited mobility they have on that mode
      • Burn Claws: The hand claws, as a compensation for their smaller size and the fact the arms must also carry the weight of the wings, can heat up to maximize damage they cause.
    • Solid Wings: The wings attached to the forearms of this mode can be used as makeshift shields to block incoming attacks, able to resist better heavy attacks than the Imagine Shield.
    • Pierce Heads: The beaks on the heads of the Kaiju Mode can rotate like drills and deal heavy damage enough to pierce through a medium armored Gundam.
    • Heavy Tail: The new backpack of the Suit Mode becomes a tail for the Gundam in Kaiju Mode. It has strong hydraulic system allowing it to lift a MS as heavy as the Solid Imagine Gundam itself (which in itself is actually 1.5 times heavier than the ZZ Gundam) and its tip is sharp as a blade, even sharper than the Imagine Shield’s tip.

Equipment and Features:

  • Mode Change System: It’s the ability it has to change its modes. Its magnetic reactors allow for a rather quick transformation sequence, faster than the ZZ Gundam’s but not as fast as Wing Gundam’s mostly due to the Gundam’s size. The call for Kaiju Mode is “Kaiju Drive” and the call for Suit Mode is “Mobile (Kidō) Drive”.
  • Search Eye: Adapted straight from the Wing Gundam. Focused on data gathering. When the antennas and main cameras do not suffice, the Gundam's secondary eye comprised of the large jewel on the Gundam’s Chest is used to gather visual and radio-wave data.
  • Self-Destruct System: The system was designed to overload its power systems and has enough explosive power to destroy several city blocks. It's a last option tactic, used mainly to force a draw.

Special Attacks:

  • Suit Mode:
    • Hold-up Strike: The claws in the shin stab the enemy, which is later strik with either the tip of the Imagine Shield or the X-Wing Boomerang. It’s mainly used with moderately armored MS and it’s the main hand-to-hand technique it can use in Suit Mode.
    • Grapple Lariat: A flying knee kick, where the Sever Claws are deployed to hold the target before leaping into the air and ramming it on the floor. It can crush light MS, thanks to the extra weight of the Gundam.
    • Shield Roll: A defensive move. The Gundam spreads its wings and rotates quickly its torso, allowing the wings to swat everything away from its surroundings. This mode leaves the lower body unprotected, though.
    • Imagine End: Solid Imagine Gundam's finisher attack. It fires both its Buster Rifle and its Flare Breaker at full power, after a 20 seconds charge from the Gunpla's reserve of Plavsky particles. It has 3 times more power than both weapons together firing normally. It can only be fired once in this way, as it quickly depletes the power of the MS.
  • Kaiju Mode
    • Sever Strike: It gives a big leap with the help of the boosters it has and lands over the target with all claws deployed.
      • Sever Wheel: The same attack, but now doing a roll on the target, adding the Heavy Tail and, sometimes, the Pierce Heads.
    • Breakthrough: It strikes with all three heads in a single point and then uses the raw power on the side heads to split apart the target.
    • Pierce Fire: The beaks on the three heads open and can shoot fire, the power output of each being that of a regular booster (not enough to lift the big thing, but can damage some slightly armored Gundams).
    • Blaze Claws: Using the Sever Claws on the feet to grab an enemy, it turns on the boosters to set it ablaze.
    • Blazing Inferno: The Blaze Claws combined with the Burn Claws and the Pierce Fire attack over the same target for maximum damage. It’s the closest thing to a finish this mode has, though it’s limited to only one target and only at very close range. It’s also risky if the target can withstand the attack and strike back.

Misc. Info:

  • The name of the Solid Imagine Gundam comes from the fact it's a solid (i.e. physical) representation of the one she imagined herself to have..
  • Its Serial Number is made after the ZZ Gundam (the number is the same, 010) and the Wing Gundam (the identification after the number is the same, W).
    • The first part means "Amane Souto's Mobile Suit", while the S in the end is to indicate this is an enhanced version of her first Gunpla, the ZZ Gundam (mirroring the fact that the Enhanced ZZ Gundam also ended the same way, MSZ-010S).
    • The three headed winged Kaiju Mode was inspired by King Ghidorah, though the use of bird heads instead of dragon heads is inspired by the Wing Gundam and its Bird Mode.
      • Incidentally, the mode change feature is a homage to both this mode and the G-Fortress mode of the ZZ Gundam.

This one has to work better. I did as much as possible to both make it simpler and not lose any detail of the suit that, so far, only exists in my mind. That's the main reason the Gunpla description is still longer than the character description: It's hard to make a visual representation with just words.

Also, GEEE... I had been writing the Gunpla's description for 4 days...

Aichi Asuka

Spoiler

Name: Aichi Asuka

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Spoiler

e932jvo.jpg

Aichi is short for his age, standing at just shy of 5 feet 8 inches (he's 171 cm tall). Combined with his effeminate facial features and long hair, he's often described as "cute" or "adorable", much to his chagrin. He usually dresses rather stylishly, with skinny jeans, sporty jackets, and sneakers, and were it not for his attitude, his looks would probably garner him quite a bit of romantic attention. His other notable features are the white streak in his hair (he bleaches it) and the scar that runs across the bridge of his nose; evidence that its been broken at least once. Though he's on the smaller size, Aichi is very fit and surprisingly strong; the end result of several years of effort to ensure that he'll always be able to hold his own in a fight.

Personality

Spoiler

Aichi (perhaps intentionally, owing to his love of of the series) is very similar to Zeta Gundam's Kamille Bidan. He's rude, quick to anger (and prone to violent outbursts when sufficiently provoked), and very sensitive, all the while trying desperately to project the image of a tough guy to cover his own insecurities and faults. Needless to say, this has earned him few friends and made him quite a few enemies as he's grown up.

To say that Aichi is a bad person, while not objectively untrue, would be overlooking both his history and his good points. As far as the former is concerned, he comes from a broken home, and his abusive (now absentee) father had a large, negative impact on his development. That being said Aichi has his good qualities. For starters, he's intelligent and perceptive; far from being a dumb thug, and he has a strong idealistic streak. Despite being violent and easily angered himself, he hates bullies with a passion, and would never consider harming or belittling someone that hasn't done the same to him or someone else first. Were he less angry and insecure, this better nature might lead him to be kind and sincere, but as it stands Aichi's nobler qualities usually only lead him to picking fights with "bad" people, as opposed to positively contributing to his relationships with others. Perhaps surprisingly, lately he's become a lot more self aware; guilty over the trouble he's caused, and he's making an effort to better himself. Its slow coming, but its there.

In short, Aichi is a problem child. He has a lot of growing up to do, and plenty of issues that he needs to work through. Underneath it all however, is the potential for him to become a genuinely good person. He's angry, frustrated, (and though he refuses to admit it) lonely, and he has trouble dealing with it constructively, is all.

Biography:

Spoiler

Aichi's life story reads the same way the tales of many young delinquents do. A broken home, moving around, a string of juvenile infractions, etc. In his case specifically, his parents divorced when he was eight, with custody of Aichi going to his mother as a result of his father's self destructive drug habits and abusive streak. Though the quality of his home life certainly improved after that, his mother's worsening financial situation resulted in her taking on multiple jobs and having to move into progressively less expensive (and less safe) neighborhoods as time went by.

As a result, Aichi never really got the chance to stay in a stable place for very long, and his overworked mother rarely had time for him. Naturally, he began acting out, and had run away and accrued several juvenile criminal charges (including theft and trespassing) by the time he was 12. As he hit puberty his behavior only worsened. He started hanging around with the younger siblings of several Yakuza and other undesirable types, and being in with such a bad crowd only caused more trouble for both him and his mother. It was during this time that he first got his nose broken in a fistfight he picked with a boy much larger than he was; an experience that instilled in Aichi his hatred of bullies and the desire to become stronger so he'd never have to lose a fight again.

About a year and half ago though, his situation began to change for the better. His mother began dating the owner of an auto shop, and soon they decided move in together, bringing Aichi along. Before long they were engaged, and though he was very strict and did not see eye to eye with his fiance's son, Aichi's new stepfather did whatever he could to help the troubled youth work through his problems. This included putting him to work part-time in the auto shop, both to teach his stepson the trade and to give him an outlet for his aggression. He also arranged for Aichi to test into Tomino academy, rightly assuming that a fresh start would be good for him.

Despite the change of scenery and the improved support system in his life, Aichi still has a lot of problems to work through. The new school hasn't stopped him from hanging around his old crowd during his free time (though he has far less time to do so these days, and hasn't seen many of them since their incarceration for robbery), and he's still both constantly at odds with his Mother and Stepfather at home and tends to get into trouble at school.

Gunpla: ASW-G-32 Gundam Asmodai

Misc. Info:

Spoiler

Theme: SPYAIR- I Wanna Be

Limiter Disabled Theme: Sadie- Juggernaut

  • Aichi's favorite gundam series has been Zeta Gundam since he was younger, though recently he's taken a strong liking to Iron Blooded Orphans.
  • He has high standards for mecha anime, and is disdainful of "crappy" gundam series like SEED Destiny and AGE. The former especially earns his ire, as he shares a surname and several personality traits with its main protagonist. Consequently, comparing him to Shinn Asuka is an easy way to get Aichi angry.
  • Aichi seems to have a great deal of natural talent when it comes to working with his hands, as evidenced by his performance at work and the quality of Gundam Asmodai's construction.

ASW-G-32 Gundam Asmodai

Spoiler

Name: Gundam Asmodai

Model Number: ASW-G-32

Machine Classification: Close Quarters Combat Hunter-Killer Mobile Suit

Manufacturer: Nielsen Labs (Gundam Frame), Aichi Asuka (Armor and Equipment)

Appearance:

Spoiler

image.jpg

Created using a 1/144 scale gundam frame that Aichi stole during a botched robbery of Nielsen Labs with some of his delinquent friends, Gundam Asmodai's armor and equipment are all custom-made or modified by Aichi using either hobby supplies or machining tools found in his stepfather's auto shop. Pre-existing parts from several 1/144 scale IBO kits were used, including Gundams Bael, Barbatos (both the original and Lupus/Rex), Gusion Rebake, and Astaroth Origin, as well as scrap metal and plastic parts found in the auto shop. Notably, the Gundam Frame itself is made from high quality resin rather than plastic, probably to better protect its ahab reactors, which contain a fragile blue crystalline substance that Aichi is unable to identify.

Armaments:

Spoiler

γ Nano-Laminate Sword: Gundam Asmodai's primary weapon, stored within the Buster sword when not in use. It is a slightly longer, improved version of the same weapon found on the ASW-G-29 Gundam Astaroth Origin. When compared to its bright red predecessor, is far more stable when active, and thanks to the energy transmission equipment in both of Asmodai's arms, can be wielded in either hand, or by both at once for extra potency. When activated, the γ Nano-Laminate sword disrupts the integrity of nano-laminate materials that it comes in contact with, allowing it to effortlessly cut through the armor found on post-disaster mobile weapons. Because it is made of nano-laminated material itself, the sword also has the same beam-deflecting properties of nano-laminate armor, allowing Asmodai to parry the beam sabers used by mobile weapons from other timelines with it. Against mobile suits with more traditional armor, however, the γ Nano-Laminate sword is far less effective, roughly on par with the heat weapons found on early Zeon mobile suits. In order to compensate, Aichi often uses the sword while Asmodai is moving at its top speed. It cuts more effectively this way, but repeated strikes can strain the plastic the blade is made of, and to date Aichi has broken and replaced it three times.

γ Nano-Laminate Buster Sword: Asmodai's ultimate weapon and easily the most impressive bit of modeling on the whole gunpla. Custom machined out of metal, the Buster Sword features several intricate moving parts and is even partially hollow on the inside so it can store the γ Nano-Laminate sword. Using the smaller sword as its heart to produce the same armor-disrupting effect, the buster sword is designed to utterly annihilate mobile armors like the Hashmal with its sheer size and weight. Dwarfing even the Barbatos Lupus Rex's ultra large mace, the buster sword is actually so heavy that under normal circumstances Gundam Asmodai is unable to lift it. Only when its Alaya-Vijnana system's limiter is deactivated and the Asmodai is operating at its full potential is the buster sword usable, and even then it sometimes requires the use of the ahab thrusters built into the guard to help it strike fast enough. Needless to say, this is a terrifying weapon, capable of causing catastrophic damage, and sometimes even the total destruction of an enemy gunpla with a single strike. When not in use, the buster sword and its built in ahab thrusters act as the Asmodai's backpack. Being coated in nano-laminate armor, the buster sword is able to deflect beam weapons, and is often too large to be parried by normal sized beam sabers, which it simply passes through.

200mm Guns: Ranged armaments taken from the Gundam Barbatos Lupus, the 200mm Guns give the Asmodai effective ranged firepower. Thanks to the two gundams' similar arm structures, Aichi was able to perfectly replicate their mounts from the Lupus, giving them the same rail slides that reduce recoil and folding capabilities. Unlike the Lupus however, the shape of Asmodai's armor and buster sword limits the arms' range of motion when the guns are equipped, which led Aichi to include them as optional armaments that can be purged mid-battle if need be.

300mm Smoothbore Gun: Taken directly from a High Grade kit of the Gundam Barbatos, Aichi sometimes equips Gundam Asmodai with this weapon to give it some additional ranged firepower. Though it's an inaccurate weapon, its large bore gives it a long range and power enough to deal damage even to heavily armored mobile suits. As the Asmodai lacks the backpack hardpoints that the Barbatos has, the Smoothbore Gun can only be carried in the gundam's hands. As a result, Aichi often discards the weapon mid-battle. It also retains the 60mm machinegun mounted underneath the barrel.

Equipment and Features:

Spoiler

Alaya-Vijnana System: Neural interface equipment found on all 72 of the gundam frames in the post-disaster timeline, the Alaya-Vijnana greatly increases performance by linking pilot and machine, allowing the pilot to directly interpret Mobile Suit data, as well as greatly increasing reaction time and spatial awareness. In Gunpla Battle, this is replicated without the need for any sort of man-machine interface, thanks to the properties of plavsky particles. This is not without its own quirks and drawbacks, however, as the way the system functions can often cause a phenomenon known in gunpla circles as "assimilation", which causes the pilot's senses to meld with that of the gunpla. While this increases perfomance, it also causes feedback, causing the pilot to sustain real pain and injury when the gunpla takes damage. Because of this, many gunpla builders deliberately exclude the system from their IBO machines' capabilities, or otherwise find ways to limit its effects out of safety concerns. It should be noted that this is a feature installed on the Gundam Frame itself, rather than equipment included by Aichi during construction, and as a result he is unable to remove it or lessen its effects without altering the frame: something he is incapable of thanks to its resin construction.

Nano-Laminate Armor: A multi-layered armor system made by using the Gundam Asmodai's Ahab Reactors to generate a protective coating with a special metallic paint on the suit. Found on all mobile weapons from the Post-Disaster timeline, Nano-Laminate Armor provides superb protection from beam weapons, and is also highly resistant to physical attacks. While in the universe of IBO this armor's level of protection is such that mobile weapons are nearly indestructible and must be engaged in melee combat to strip the nano-laminate armor off, in Gunpla Battle its strength has been reduced for balance reasons. While still capable of reflecting beam weapons, it is more vulnerable to physical attacks, and melee weapons (excluding beam sabers) are just as effective against it as they are against armors from other gundam settings.

Ahab Thrusters: Mounted in Asmodai's hips, buster sword, shoulders, and feet, the Gundam's Ahab thrusters use power from its reactors to grant it high speed and maneuverability. Thanks to the added weight of the buster sword, Aichi was forced to add far more than the usual number of thrusters to the suit. However, he overcompensated, which led to some unintended consequences, namely that Asmodai is far faster than it needs to be. While this can be, and often is, incredibly useful, allowing it to outpace and out-jump Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex on the ground and even keep up with extreme high speed suits like the RX-78GP01Fb in space, Asmodai simply wasn't designed to withstand the force of the maneuvers its capable of. Excessive use of all the Ahab thrusters at once can damage the suit, sometimes severely, and as a result Aichi often has to make repairs or outright replace components that break off.

Knight Helm: What gives Asmodai its hunter-killer capabilities. The Knight helm is an armored visor that slides in front of the Gundam's eyes when in use. While giving the suit's optics some extra protection and adding to the flavor of the suit's appearance, its main purpose is to provide sophisticated tracking and detection equipment, allowing Asmodai to hunt down and spot enemies from extreme range. The Knight helm is able to pick up on reactor emissions and other signals from all different types of mobile suits, and can even "see through" advanced stealth systems like mirage colloid. However, it is vulnerable to ECM, and cannot, for example, "see through" an active system that interferes with its functions, like the gundam deathscythe's hyper jammers.

Special Attacks:

Spoiler

Limiter Disabled: Like the Gundam Barbatos, Gundam Asmodai's Alaya-Vijnana system comes with a safety limiter that prevents the system from operating at its full capacity, so as not to injure the pilot. When Aichi assimilates with Asmodai, however, particularly strong emotions (especially anger) can, intentionally or otherwise, switch this limiter off. When in this state, Asmodai's eyes glow a violent, menacing red, giving it a much more sinister, demonic appearance; reminiscent of an evil dark knight. With its limiter disabled, Asmodai's performance is increased to its maximum level, granting it vastly improved speed, strength, and reaction times. This is important, as it makes the suit strong enough to effectively wield its buster sword. However, disabling the limiter also greatly increases the assimilation effect, which is not only extremely taxing both physically and mentally on Aichi, but can also cause feedback that will injure him rather severely if the suit takes too much damage. To make matters worse, the physical and emotional strain of removing the limiter has been known to cause Aichi to go into a cold rage in battle. When in this state, he fights in a very similar style to IBO's protagonist, Mikazuki Augus, completely ignoring his surroundings and his own injuries and fighting unrelentingly until there is literally nothing left of his enemies.

Misc. Info:

Spoiler
  • Aichi's lore for Gundam Asmodai states that, though it was incredibly powerful, the strain it put on its pilot was too much, and it went missing after taking down a horde of mobile armors in a berserker state during the calamity war. It also served as the basis for the Helmweige, another of Gjallarhorn's anti-mobile armor suits that comes equipped with its own buster sword.
  • Asmodai, sometimes called Asmodeus, is the 32nd demon listed in the Ars Goetia. He is a King of hell, with 72 legions of demons under his command. He Incites gambling,  presides over revenge, and is associated with the deadly sin of lust. Fitting, in a sense, since Aichi too has to deal with his inner demons and vices.
  • Aichi is scared of disabling Asmodai's limiter, and makes an effort to prevent it from occurring in battle so that he doesn't lose control of it.
  • Despite his misgivngs about the suit, both the guilt he feels over how he obtained its frame and the fear of destroying other people's gunpla that comes with using it, Aichi is very fond of his work. He poured his heart and soul into the suit, and is too attached to it to move on to a safer, more stable gunpla.

"It's too early..."

Character

Name: Riku Takanaka
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Gunpla: AGE-2DH Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound
Apperance

Spoiler

mKPqqXb.png?1
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 156 lbs

Personality

Spoiler

Riku seems to be perpetually tired and disinterested in almost everything else around him, including other people. While not a complete shut in, Riku shows many anti-social tendencies as a natural introvert, keeping his conversations as short as possible. Due to his constant lack of sleep, Riku does occasionally wake up irritated until he gets his coffee. His lackadaisical attitude, while making him seem standoffish, also make him honest with everyone. He's not really keen on sharing his thoughts on everything; if you ask him, though, he will answer as honestly as he can.

Riku is very much a "go with the flow" type of guy, not really worrying about the future much until the future smacks him right in the face. He also doesn't tend to dwell in the past much; actually, he tends to forget a lot of things. While quick on his feet, he doesn't come up with the best solution most of the time.

While he tends to not care about anything, when he does find something he cares about its like he becomes another person. He'll become almost obsessive with the object in question, spending almost all of his time and attention to it. The most interesting thing about this is that he becomes highly competitive and driven, although never enough to talk down to people.

Biography

Spoiler

Riku lives in a rather comfortable middle-class household as an only child. While both of his parents were happy together, both of them were often busy as they both worked. This gave Riku a lot of time by himself as a kid, usually spent either watching cartoons or drawings things that he saw in said cartoons. While certainly not unpopular, he didn't really make any lasting friendships with his classmates in elementary, tending to keep to himself. He also didn't seem motivated by much; while most kids were able to easily answer what they wanted to be when they grew up, Riku had no idea. He'd always say something like artist or cartoonist since he liked those things, but he was never really passionate about either, and his answer would change from day to day.

During middle school, however, he learned about Gunpla. Most passing fads or toys that he was introduced to when he was young didn't really stick with him, barely giving them the time of day. However, Gunpla was different. He didn't quite know what it was; maybe it was the customization, or the idea of a giant robot fighting monsters like in his cartoons. Whatever it was, he was hooked instantly, and he spent every waking moment around Gunpla. To the point where he started depriving himself of sleep, developing a bad case of insomnia that he still suffers from to this day. His parents tried their best to deal with it, but they figured out his insomnia a tad too late due to how busy they were.

His time at Tomino High was odd, as he again kept his streak of not really making any close friends. Despite being a member of the Gunpla Club, his attendance to the actual club was shaky at best. The hassle of the club was too much, and he'd rather spend the time working on his Gunpla. However, as the years passed him by, he realized that his time in highschool was almost over, and he had no idea what he was going to do from here on out. In a slight panic, Riku decided to focus on the Gunpla Club in the hopes that somehow he'd find his guiding wind for the future.

(Strider Mode)

Armaments

Spoiler
  • DODS Lancer
The DODS Lancer is the primary weapon of the Dark Hound. As the name suggests, it is a lance-type weapon used for stabbing enemy units. A pair of DODS Guns are built into the sides of the DODS Lancer, which fires beam shots rapidly. The DODS Lancer is also able to spin like a drill in both Standard and Strider Mode, although the guns are unable to be used while it is doing this.
  • Union Ring
A ring that sits between the two cutlasses on its back. Instead of grabbing one of the blades, the user can instead grab onto the ring, which connects the two blades to it. Once deploys, the three blades spin viciously to form a sort of saw blade like weapon.
  • Beam Cutlass
A cutlass-like weapon that is used for close combat during battle. Two beam cutlasses are stored on the rear skirt armor and a third sits on its back permanently connected to the Union Ring.
  • Beam Vulcan
A pair of rapid-fire beam vulcans, which are used to intercept incoming missiles and enemy unit. The beam vulcans are mounted in the shoulders and can only be used in Strider Mode.
  • Anchor Shot
A wired anchor equipped between each binder of the Dark Hound. It can be launched from the binder to restrain a enemy unit or grab onto a surface. The anchors can also direct electricity to an opponent, shocking them and electrifying their unit. Each Anchor Shot can also be used as a handheld weapon and can be used defensively by spinning the wired anchor rapidly to form a makeshift shield.

Equipment & Features

Spoiler
  • Flash Eye
A special equipment built into the chest of the AGE-2 Dark Hound. This equipment is used to emit a blinding flash of light in order to disorient enemies.
  • Strider Mode
Dark Hound can transform itself into a high-speed fighter-like form known as Strider Mode. Strider Mode is 4x faster than the already swift Standard Mode, but loses access to its blade weapons.

Special Attacks

Spoiler
  • Drill Breaker
Can only be used by Strider Mode. Pushing all of its thrusters at maximum power, Dark Hound launches itself at its foe, the DODS Lancer violently spinning. Adding onto this, Dark Hound also does a drill maneuver with its body. After attacking, Dark Hound is forced into Standard Mode and needs to recharge.
  • Overcharger
Can only be used by Standard Mode. Both Anchor Shots are slotted into the Beam Vulcan slots, coursing Dark Hound with electricity and overcharging all other functions. When Lancer drills, it forms a thundering storm around it, and all beams are overcharged. This, however, leaves Dark Hound vulnerable after using.

Misc

  • Riku's favorite drink is a nice cup of coffee

Yui

Spoiler

Chaos: A pretty straightforward character. I see nothing wrong.

Sai: This is the kind of character I imagine when I hear "Yui character". There's nothing wrong with it, it just is the way it is.

Chaos

Spoiler

Sai: Horrible. Worst one. Rejected, give up the rp and hand it over to me.

Nai

Spoiler

Chaos: One of the two possible candidates with an Iron Blooded Orphans Gundam (Sai Note: What? It's just Omnimon!) which is good as we haven't seen that in Build yet. I'm just worried about the Alaya-Banana System. I'm not 100 percent sure how it will work out. Just explain to me how things works and it might work out okay.

Sai: On my end of the spectrum, I'm just not sure how I feel about Nana the banana already having a girlfriend. I mean, on one hand, it's like, yeah, she has a life outside of the club, but I think it may limit interactions with the rest of the cast.

"Hey, you wanna do something?"

"Nah, gotta bang the girlfriend," but it might be fine, it's just my own fears about it. I've seen this go wrong a lot.

ZetaRESP

Spoiler

Chaos: You did do some of the things that I did, extending the bio and aging her up, but the issue still persists that the Gunpla is the bulk of the app. Not only that, but you're trying to do too much with the gunpla, with all the weapons and the Tryon 3 combining, it's just too much for one. A gunpla should have weaknesses.

Sai: Look, here's the thing. Your gunpla is an extension of your character, not the other way around. You can have the best gunpla ever, but without a good character behind it, it's not going to memorable, hell, it won't even be fun. You need to put more into the character beyond "stereotypical rich girl'.

And the backstory the frame will definitely be interesting. I just also have an issue with the system with Nai, and the limit remover yours has. Just give me an explanation and we'll work it out.

Sai: Ditto. It looks fine to me, not super sure what these newfangled systems are, you should have just used Shining Finger. XP

Spoiler

Anyway, regarding her girlfriend, the point was that they've grown distant now due to 3rd year concerns, and while they're not separate yet, she's somewhat kinda actively avoiding Nana atm. Part of Nana's character is the exploration of what's there, without the existence of Hinata acting as her anchor. So yeah, the "gotta bang the girlfriend" stuff would be quite minor, if it'd even be around. Hinata has an NPC entry mostly since it'd be easier to refer to her if she has some form of a consistent base and she used to be a part of the club too.

Anyway, Alaya Banana System...well, it's pretty much like the AV in Graze Ein. It's not like a super mode like Trans Am or anything, but it eliminates response delay by like, using Nana's mind as a wetware CPU. It doesn't increase raw performance, however. Just makes it so that the gunpla 99.9% feels like her own limbs in movement, as if she actually put her brain inside of it.

This is more or less the entire old OOC from YCM. Will see about adding in the character stuff later. Also note that not all the information is quite accurate atm but I wanted to keep it as true to what it was (I did remove a few things though).
Well, didn't add the character stuff but hey, don't need that anymore! RP Completed.

This is a spiritual successor to my Titans: Legacy RP: hopefully I'll correct some of the mistakes I made in hosting this time around.

Extraordinary individuals on Earth have existed since the beginning of recorded history, or even before then. As long as man has looked up at the stars and wondered what higher powers exist out there, there have been a select chosen few who can bridge that gap. Gifted with powers, whether supernatural, technological, alien, or simply exceptional among humanity; they have rode the crest of the wave of history, shaping it at every turn... whether for good or for evil.
Over the last few centuries, as the modern geopolitical sphere solidifies, so does the culture of superheroes. Multiple groups arise, each one policing their corner of the globe, trying to stay disentangled from the worries of the rest of the world. There are so many, in fact, that it took a few days before the full picture came together one hot summer day in 2018.
Seven young heroes, vanished into thin air. And when they return, the stories they tell will only be overshadowed by the secrets they keep...
      GUIDELINES
Please read and understand NCM and section rules before posting.
You have creative freedom when making your character, but please remember that GM word is final, and you may be asked to change things if deemed necessary. There's a fine line between over-the-top and just plain silly: I expect you to know where that lies. I won't be restricting your potential powers, but please be reasonable and consider how your character's abilities will work in the context of an RP.
(Note: Characters with a "cosmic" origin or power source, ex. aliens or Green Lantern-esque heroes, must be cleared by me prior to applying, and will be held to greater scrutiny.)
Being accepted into this RP means that you are committed to seeing it advance. If you end up falling inactive, you may be dismissed from participating. When posting, please let at least two people go before you before posting again; and aim to post at least once a week. If for some reason you'll need to be inactive for an extended period, please let the hosts know so they can write around your absence.
As of right now, I only want one character per player. If you are competing for a particular position against another applicant... well, tough. I'll pick applications based on how I think the characters will overlap and interact with one another--we're following the trope of Superhero Speciation. Finally, six characters max will be on the Young Guardians, meaning I'll only accept five other players.

      timeline
This is by no means a complete history: feel free to expand on it in your app. (Please forgive my poor attempts at Google Translating Russian.)
1900's While empowered individuals as a concept have existed since the dawn of time, the idea of costumed villains and vigilantes only became culturally widespread with the advances of the 20th century.1940 The "Golden Age" of superheroics begins a year into the Second World War: this was when heroes were deployed to the front lines for the first time as tactical ultimatums. The war ends with a two-pronged attack. The French Légion de la Gloire and the British Division 10 moved in the Western theater, and the Soviet красные знаменосцы (Red Pennants) and American Sentinels took the East. Notably, this avoided the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Rather, the trigger for the Axis' surrender was when a Soviet hero named Огненное Знамя (Fiery Banner) went insane and razed the city of Dresden to the ground, incinerating nearly one million Germans. (He would later be executed for war crimes, which set off future international tensions.)Sep 2, 1945 After the end of the war, the primary world powers gathered at Dresden to sign into account the Dresden Accords, a list of rules for deploying superheroes under national orders. As a result, heroing became a mostly-national phenomenon: international scenarios were rare to the point of irrelevance.mid-1950's An unintended consequence of the Accords was the rise of global super-crime, mostly by the shadowy organization M.I.S.T. Against the tension of the Cold War, which was only held at bay by the tenuous balance of powers, this globespanning group plundered and spread terror, lead by the mysterious and charismatic Gray Mask. These two factors are considered to be the beginning of the "Bronze Age" of heroes, where realpolitik eclipsed a unifying foe.Mar 4, 1983 This state of uncertainty fell with a bang! with the invasion of the K'rrik, a race of insectoid aliens looking to strip Earth of her resources and subjugate her citizens. Humanity suddenly found they were not alone: and although they unified in the face of such evil, they were on the back foot of a number of days until the arrival of the Cosmic Legion (name subject to change).Mar 17, 1983 The tide turned, and within two weeks the K'rrik invaders were beaten back, but at the cost of millions of casualties. March 17th became the Day of Memory, an international holiday to commemorate the loss of life. A side effect of the Legion's new presence on Earth was the acceleration of spacefaring technologies, letting humanity quickly establish lunar and Martian outposts.JUNE 2018 A group of seven young superheroes make their first entry into the Otherworld after being abducted in their sleep. One of their number is killed by monsters shortly after arrival, dropping the count to six.JULY? 2018 Present day... maybe? Time's passage is dreamlike and uncertain in the Otherworld, so it's a best guess that it's been a month. application code

In the Year 20XX, a strange phenomenon happened across the globe.  The next step in human evolution had begun, and the first Quirk had been recorded!  A baby in China, born with the ability to become completely invisible!  Soon after, many more reports of children being born with strange abilities were also confirmed.  These abilities would be referred to as Quirks, and they would be heavily monitored by the government.  Naturally, the world became a paradise full of Heroes, but the term was more akin to vigilantes more than anything!  With crime also high on the rise, due to the lack of benefits for using Quirks for good, the Government stepped in to enforce law.  The Hero Licensing and Restriction Act was passed, ordering all vigilantes to become of use to the Government.  Many would sign away their rights, but would gain profit from the common folk as a public safety provider.  However, there are many who still refuse to conform to this Government ruling, and have been labled outlwas.
With the HLRA in place, this meant that new heroes would have to be taught proper ways to conduct themselves, if they wanted to become official licensed heroes.  And this is where your story begins.  The U.A. Academy has finally opened it's doors, and is accepting it's first Freshman class!  Will you be able to pass the test, and get your Hero License?

      Mr./Ms. ----
You have been scouted for your talent to attend our school.
As a result, you have been selected and we invite you to join us as the Ultimate ----
Included is an orientation guide for Hope's Peak Academy.
That’s what the acceptance letter said. Sixteen students received this letter, each one skilled at something to the point where they were the best in the world. Sixteen students, each one scouted individually by the prestigious school. There’s no reason that anyone would decline this offer, after all, it’s said that anyone who graduates from Hope’s Peak Academy has their future made.
And lucky you, you’re one of those sixteen students.
Teenagers from around the world will be coming to attend Hope's Peak Academy, and soon, you'll be meeting with the other fifteen students that make up the class. You'll make friends, you'll overcome challenges, and you'll hone your talents to a point where you'll be set for life!
      Pwuhuhu…

Of course, not all sixteen students will come from this lousy place! That would be, like, totally boring!
I’ll be accepting a number of lucky students from this delightful place for an exchange program! Maybe four... Or five, who knows?
Well, not really an exchange… You’re just coming to this prestigious academy! Think of it as more of a kidnapping. Or a hostage situation!

But don’t worry, it’ll be a ton of fun, everyone will have a good chance to learn and grow!
