Pokemon Gijinka: The Fallen God [IC / PG-16 / Complete]

Recommended Posts

Brooke let her cloak of flames dissipate as she came to a stop beside Easter. “Hmm… Forty-one… That’s a lot,” she said, then grinned. “You know what’s more than forty-one though? Sixty. Looks like ya finally lost at somethin’ Easter.” Not that it was a fair competition. It was impressive that he was able to down forty-one creatures he was barely effective against, but he didn’t need her to tell him that.

The Emboar glanced over at where Easter was gesturing. “Huh? No, Dora should still be back on the ship. Why would she…” Brooke trailed off when she saw her. A very familiar looking Quagsire; still looking very, very young in comparison to the rest of the people fighting, but taller and older than Dora had been just a few hours ago. “Dora? Dora! What are you doing here?” She rushed over to the Quagsire. The little girl (could she really still call her little?) was almost as tall as her now, which was somewhat disconcerting. “You need to get back to the boat.”

Her head suddenly hurt. There was an army of Gijinka between Dora and the boat now, and she obviously didn’t have the time to escort her. How had she even made it this far? Damn it, damn it, damn it!

Scarlet
Team Showdown

Scarlet snarled, picking herself up as two more Genesect descended on her. Smashing her fist together, she glared the two machines in the eyes. "Bring it on!" She commanded, dashing towards the two, the crimson Tailwind still tailing behind her. As one of the Genesects took time to change the type of its cannon, the other one fired Magnet Bombs at the Scizor to try and slow her down. However, she did not stop, as she dashed towards the charging Genesect and, with a small leap, delivered an overhead slam with both of her fists.

As she did, she was struck by a Techno Blast from the side, the pressure from the watery attack caused her to stumble a bit. However, she stood her ground, turning towards the Genesect that had just attacked her. Her armor seemed to glow as bright red as the trail of wind behind her as she dashed up to the Genesect's face. With a single, Superpowered punch, she sent the Genesect flying backwards, before exploding right next to a distant Genesect. As she delivered her punch, her body started to steam, her body growing tired. However, this was no time to rest, as she turned towards the other Genesect, who fired a flaming Techno Blast right at her chest. She was sent flying back, gritting her teeth in pain, as her wings fluttered as hard as they could. Barely, she managed to land on her feet, sliding across the ground a bit. She breathed heavily, before darting right back in.

While she managed to dodge most of the Magnet Bombs being sent to her, some of them landed, but that wasn't going to stop her. She promised Taiga she wasn't going to die here, and she'll be damned if she didn't keep her promise. Triumphantly, she grabbed the Genesect by the arms with two Bug Bites and aggressively dragged it across the ground towards the platform. When it was started to heat up, she let go, not looking back at the spectacular explosion it made.

It took her a while to get to the platform, but eventually she made it there. Her body at this point was beaten up and radiating smoke from fighting the Genesect on her way here as she collapsed on the metal platform. In her hands was the arm of one of the Genesects, violently ripped from the body. She glanced upwards, taking a second to find Taiga. Eventually she did find the Sharpedo, weakly smiling as she raised her free hand towards her friend. "Told... told ya... I'd make it..."

Lok
Team Karaoke

With the ominous wind still circling around him, Lok kept running. He wasn't very eager to fight another one of those robot things, although he knew he couldn't avoid them forever. Just as he expected, one of the Genesects landed right in front of him, causing him to stop. "Great... ok, you did this once... you can do it again." He muttered under his breath, firing off a Will-o-Wisp towards the Genesect. The robot sidestepped the attack, its gun shifting like the previous one had. Lighting crackled at his fingertips as he fired off a Thunderbolt towards the Genesect, hitting it on its shoulder as it fired off a ghastly Techno Blast which sent Lok flying backwards. Floating above the ground, he managed to catch himself, watching as the robot fired off a Magnet Bomb towards him. Panicking, he let out an Ominous Wind, which seemed to at least knock some of the metallic shells aside. This time the winds didn't seem to do anything other than that, but Lok didn't notice. He was occupied with something else.

The Genesect was getting ready to fire off another Techno Blast, when suddenly it was knocked to the side by a stray explosion. Lok wasn't sure where this came from, but it didn't matter. He fired off a Will-o-Wisp towards the Genesect, this time hitting its mark. The Genesect, once it stabilized again, fired off a Magnet Bomb towards Lok, as Lok fired off a Hex towards it. Some of the projectiles clashed with each other and fizzled, while others managed to hit their opponents. Lok stumbled back, before letting out a Thunderbolt at the Genesect, who was now dashing towards him. The robot was extremely beat up, Lok was able to see that as it barreled towards him. Realizing what the Genesect was trying to do, he pushed it away with one last Ominous Wind as it Self-Destructed. While not completely dodging the attack, he was on the outskirts of the explosion. Wiping his brow, he continued onward.

At this point, he had made it half way towards the platform. However, he saw the waves of Genesects that were close to his destination, and he frowned. There was no way he was going to make it without fighting at least two more of these things, and he wasn't even sure if he could take on another one. "Great... now what..." He said, placing his hand on his face as he thought about what to do. On the ground he saw shrapnel from the exploding Genesects that surrounded him and an idea came to his head. "Well, you did this once before... kinda... and not really in a battlefield like this, but I mean hey it's basically the same thing, right? Haha..." He tried to convince himself, picking up a piece of metal on the ground. He wasn't confident in his chances at all, but he had to try. Even if it was risky, this had a better chance of working than fighting on the horde of robots.

With a sigh, he held the piece of metal with both of his hands, electricity and howling winds circling his arms. It wasn't long before the piece of metal was now being held by the lightning itself, as he aimed his body towards the platform. "I hope this works...!" He said, counting down to 5 in his head as the lightning circled faster and faster. As he clenched his fist, the metal suddenly shot forward as lighting shot out of his arms. Before it went too far, however, Lok used his ability to posses objects to enter the now flying piece of metal as it soared through the air. Lok screamed as his vessel violently flew above the battlefield.

Those on the platform would see a flying piece of metal barely land on the edge of it as a Rotom shot out of it, tumbling on the cold metal ground. As he crashed, the ominous winds around him erupted from his body as he let out a grumble. His body was aching, both from fighting the Genesect and from the crash landing he just did. He took a moment to lay on the ground, not because he wanted to rest but because he couldn't bring his legs to pick himself up. "At least I made it..." He muttered, groaning as he clutched his right arm.

"Dora...?"

"That's me!" Dora confirmed. "I'm Dora!"

"yeah...arms."

Dora turned towards the stranger girl who didn't look all that much older than her and nodded. "Arms!"

“Dora? Dora! What are you doing here? You need to get back to the boat.”

"Nuh uh!" Dora said, crossing her arms, and grinning widely that she was able to do that, "we're s'posed to go downstairs and I can't do that from the boat." She looked out in the direction of the boat and frowned. "Plus there's a lot of those weird ladies that way. They're not very nice."

--

"You may have beaten me here but I bet I still did better than you overall!"

Mac rolled her eyes. "Oh please, we were supposed to come here right? So if I got here first I did it best. But I guess I'll just have to show you I'm better by beating up the bad guys we find down there." She grinned and flexed. She noticed Kazo approaching, with his brother, off in the distance and waved at him. "You're so slow!" She called out.

--

The lift was filling up with Gijinka from all over. It was possible that it could hold more, yet, they had been waiting for a while now and if they waited for much longer the Genesect would take notice of them. After that there was no telling how difficult it would be to leave.

And so it was decided they’d go now. The level was pulled and, the moment it did, the railings along the side raised and a growling noise could be heard. Metal against metal. Then with a shudder the lift lowered down. At first slowly and then picking up speed faster and faster.

Lights could be seen as they went down but the lift was moving too fast now and they seemed like a blur. This went on for a minute until it started to slow again. Until with another shudder and a hissing noise the lift stopped.

A door slide open which revealed a cube-shaped room. It was unusually artificial. The walls looked to be made of some kind of metal plating interspersed with blue lights. An eerie noise could be heard. A sort of hum. And in the middle of the room was a circular disk of light. Presumably the teleporter that they had been told about.

There was a pause as everyone took in the situation. And then Mac broke the silence. “Well, guess we might as well try it out.” And without further hesitation she dashed towards the light. When she reached it she stood straight and a bright light flashed and when it faded she had gone. The others then one after another went into the light. Where they were taken to a variety rooms. Looking around they would soon realize that they had been broken up into small groups.

Group 1: Easter and Nine

The room they entered seemed to stretch on for a long distance. Far off they could see what looked to be walls but it was hard to tell. They found themselves in a field. This field was entirely filled with flowers. Most of them white but here and there were a scattering of other colors as well. At first it seemed that they were alone in this field but they would soon notice someone else.

Across from where they had appeared was a hill. Laying on the slope of the hill, staring up in the air, was a woman. Long, green hair, pale skin, and wearing a dress.

BGM

She was just laying there for a while. Until one of the others made a move. Then she let out a sigh and opened her red eyes. Slowly she stood up. Moving so fluidly it almost looked as though she was floating. And then she vanished and reappeared a dozen feet from them. She gestured with her right hand, sweeping across the field, then her left. “I usually don’t let guests into my sanctuary.” She said, her voice tired and distant. “Yet here you are. And here I am.” She let out another sigh. “My name is Ankou. My leader has tasked me with stopping those who come here. I’m very sorry but I have to destroy you now.”

Spoiler

Here’s the deal. I know how long these can take so let’s try and make it go smoother. I’ll give the moves the Godslayer has and some of their fighting style and you can include some of their own actions in your post. I’ll still post each week for more stuff and you need dialogue ask. Also I won’t be giving info on the “special move” since if they use it it’ll be in my posts. I’m giving a bit of free reign to ham it up a bit just don’t forget this is a powerful foe. And don’t forget you’re not alone.

Ankou, Gardevoir, Synchronize, level 80. Moves: Teleport, Psyshock, Draining Kiss, Thunderbolt, Taunt.
Tends to not move much herself in battle. Preferring to use Teleport to move around.

Group 2: Denku, Kazo, and Randy

The room these three found themselves was surrounded in what looked like stadium seats. The ground was filled with sand and there were several pillars on the left and right. It resembled some sort of coliseum and, in fact, if either of them had been near the arena in Adarid City they would realize this was almost exactly a replica of it. Only without the sky above them.

“Welcome ‘heroes’ to the last fight of your life.” The voice that spoke was seeped in sarcasm. It came from a tall man that was standing between the two pillars at the other end that the three had appeared.

The salamence had shaggy dark hair, tanned skin, and his dark eyes flashed with anger as he took a few steps closer. Kazo would recognize them as one of the two that had attack Latias and Latios. Though he looked somewhat different. Manic, as though he hadn’t slept since.

His cocky expression turned dark as he saw Kazo. “So it’s you. What a coincidence. I was told to wait here to stop anyone from interrupting but I didn’t expect to be given such a gift. I get to have my revenge on one of the ‘heroes’ who got my brother killed personally.”

BGM

He gave a hollow laugh. “You know, I might have mentioned this, but I used to be called a hero. The ‘hero of the arena’. Ryu the Relentless! That’s what those fair weather fans called me. I was beloved. Too beloved. The owner decided he wanted me to do more and more matches. More than I could handle. So he would send my twin out instead. Then we were found out and that rat bastard called us cheaters and cast us out. We had nothing left except each other.” Another laugh, this one more manic, and he ran a hand through his hair. Face twisted and filled with misplaced rage. “And I guess now don’t even have that. Doesn't really matter, does it? You wouldn't be here if our reasons made sense to you. Well, suppose all that’s left to do is see this through to the end...and make you pay in particular.” He growled the last part and the three felt a wave of fierce aura wash over them. He then launched a Fire Blast towards Kazo.

And don’t forget you’re not alone.

Ryu, Salamence, Intimidate, level 80. Moves, Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Wing Attack, Draco Meteor, Fire Blast.
Tends to be showy and aggressive in battle. Doesn’t often use Draco Meteor unless he's certain it’ll hit and do major damage. Often dodges at the last possible moment to try and get an edge in counter-attacking.

Group 3: Brooke, Nani, and Scarlet

For a moment the group would think they hadn’t went anywhere. The floor was much the same as the one they had been previously. However after a brief moment of getting their bearings they would be able to tell that they were somewhere new. Somewhere with a rather unusual architecture.

The walls, metal like before, were curved. As they looked around in fact it almost looked as they were standing at the bottom of a large bowl with blue lights lining its outskirts. The area they stood was flat but that was only a small, couple dozen feet in diameter, area of floor until it started curving.

In the middle of the room was a pink haired woman wearing a frilly dress. She seemed somewhat chubby but, if they were to look closer, they could see her arms and legs were muscular as well.
She gave them a warm smile and put her hands together. “Oh isn’t this just lovely. I was worried that there would be children coming here. It’d be such a shame to have to fight kids again.” She gave an embarrassed laugh. “But I guess at this point it doesn’t really matter anymore. I’m supposed to ‘crush anyone who comes here’ after all. Oh, silly me, I should have introduced myself, I’m Mia!” She gave a short curtsy. Then her expression turned more cold and serious, though there was still an oddly motherly smile on her face, “We’re building a wonderful world you know. I’m not going to let you ruin it. Not after all we’ve done to get here."

Mia, Miltank, Scrappy, level 80. Moves: Rollout, Body Slam, Zen Headbutt, Fire Punch, Heal Bell.
Mia tends to use Rollout often first and uses it to open the way for her other moves. In this arena specifically she often uses the walls to pick up speed and power. (also yes, Beyblade inspiration)

Group 4: Taiga, Keanu, and Lok

The room they found themselves in had a high ceiling. High enough that it was difficult to determine how far it actually went. It was roughly rectangular and had the same, metal, plate walls that the previous room had.

Across the floor, spaced ten feet apart, were eight foot high poles made of some sort of wood. They each were six inches in diameter and appeared to have flat tops.

Unlike the previous room where the only noise was themselves and an eerie hum they could hear voices. With a brief moment of searching they saw where the voice was coming from. Across the room they could, between a couple poles, see two figures. One a small Fletchling girl and the other a Crobat that Taiga would remember from the encounter with Zygarde.

The Fletchling looked to be arguing with the Crobat. Gesturing about wildly and desperately. “You’re right I DON’T understand, Veronica! Why are you with them still? Can’t you see what they’re doing is bad? Betty wouldn’t want this...”

Even from the distance the group could see Veronica’s eyes flash for a moment. Then she scoffed at the girl and waved her off. “Yeah well we can’t ask her can we? They’re more dangerous than we are and if you can’t see that...” She then looked over and saw the group. Eyes widening she got into a fighting pose. Causing the Fletchling to glance back at them as well.

“What’s...Ah!” She cried out as Veronica chopped the girl in the back of the head and knocked her out. She grabbed her and pulled her back before stepping towards the group. Her expression was somewhat flustered but when she spoke it was with a dismissive attitude.

“So you made it here after all. It’s a shame that commoners like you ended up having to face me. You’re basically out of time already. Soon we’ll have a world free from the grip of so-called Legendaries. And I am not about to let you ruin that.”

Rep and Sethera already saw this once but basically, for Hyde, the idea here is that I’ll give the list of moves for the Godslayer and some info on their combat style. You can add some of their own actions to your posts to make this go smoother and so it’s not too many rounds. Feel free to ham it up a bit but make sure to remember this is a strong opponent and you have allies too.
Also, for dialogue for this one go to Sethera. After this round Sethera will post for Veronica as well to keep things going but a lot of the pacing is up to y’all.

Veronica, Crobat, Infiltrator, level 75. Moves: Leech Life, Cross Poison, Tailwind, Taunt, Fly.
Uses Speed to her advantage with a lot of hit and run attacks. In this room particularly uses the poles to dodge and set up aerial attacks. Can balance on the poles easily.

Group 5: Mac, Ari, Marie, Dora

Unlike the others the room that the youngest of the group found themselves in was incredibly simple. It, in fact, was similar to the previous room. Except it was more rectangular than square shaped and at the far end of the rectangle was a large, bronze, door. Some sort of chain was across it which glowed with a powerful aura.

In the middle of the room, sitting cross-legged, was a blindfolded Lucario. One that Marie would instantly recognize even from just the pressure coming off of them. A pressure so great it rivaled some of the Legends they had met. Just from sitting there he gave off an intense aura that caused even Mac to tremble.

And then he stood up.

He turned towards the group. Though he couldn’t see them it looked as though he was aware of their presence. “You.” He said at last. Without looking at her Marie could tell that he was talking to her. “You were given a warning. You ignored it. I am sure you are aware what that means for you.”

His jaw then twitched a moment and the frown on his face deepened. He turned in the direction of Dora then. “You seem familiar. You remind me of the past. When I dueled and defeated my father, when I destroyed his dojo, and removed all remnants of those who claimed to be my family. It is an aura I thought I removed entirely...I suppose now is the time to correct that mistake.”

Though Dora didn’t understand what he was saying she could feel his intent and, despite her attitude until now, she was afraid.

Mac, too, was rooted to the spot. She had never faced someone like this before. It frightened her. Especially now that she only had Ari by her side. She wanted to say something. Something confident and inspiring and heroic. But nothing came out.

Then they heard the noise of the teleporter again. Someone pushed their way past the four children.

A muscular Zebstrika with several scars along his arms and face. Ari would recognize him as Jabari, one of the warriors of Pride Rock. He hadn’t been on the boat yet here he was clear as day. When Jabari noticed the boy a complicated mixture of emotions went over his face until he settled back into his usual stern look.

The Lucario seemed to notice, as well, and seemed to recognize him somehow. “The Zebstrika. What are you doing here? Weren’t you told to be elsewhere...Ah. I sense it. You wish to fight me.”

Jabari grunted. “Once I thought this the only way. The only way to raise my people up was to change the very fabric of the world. Yet time and time again I was shown that there were those taking their destiny in their hands and changing it themselves. And now I know that I cannot stand by and let this happen anymore. Especially not when there are those like you who wouldn’t hesitate to crush children in your path.”

The Lucario shrugged. “I thought you understood. A warrior does not hesitate when someone comes to face him. But fine. I wanted to face you and the others in combat from the start. I had planned to do so after his plan was finished but I care not if I begin a little early.” He called towards the others then. “I have not forgotten you. This merely means I will have to strike you all down.”

BGM

Jabari let out a low growl and planted his feet firmly on the ground. From his feet the room was filled with an electrical surge. After this he sprung towards the Lucario. His fist just barely missed the man who countered with a Force Palm to the chest. Knocking the Zebstrika backwards.

Mac shook her head and slapped her cheeks with both her hands. “What are we standing around for? We gotta help!” She then ran to the side and darted towards the Lucario with a Quick Attack. Only for the Lucario to move even faster behind her. He grabbed her by the back of the neck and tossed her into the bronze door.

Dora let out a gasp and then opened her mouth to let loose a Mud Shot at the Lucario and at the same time Jabari fired a Shock Wave towards him.

The Mud Shot missed and the Shock Wave struck the man. Causing him to very slightly tense up. It wasn’t much but the attack had harmed him. Which gave Mac more confidence. “If he can be hurt he can be beat.” She muttered.Though with the intense aura coming from him she knew it would be a struggle just to survive.

Spoiler

You both know the drill. Only now it’s slightly more since there’s Jabari here too to play around with. I’m sure you also know how difficult this one will be so I’ll be straight up and say that the biggest goal as of right now is to weather the storm. If you want Dora or Mac stuff too let me know.
Also note that the Ion Deluge of Jabari lasts longer than most. So Normal moves are Electrified.

Lucario, Inner Focus, level 95. Moves: Aura Sphere, Force Palm, Flash Cannon, Extreme Speed, Detect.
Fights as an unstoppable force. Always moving. Hard to hit. Needs multiple attacks at once to touch him. Often will, against those not Jabari, use just regular basic attacks.

Jabari, Zebstrika, Motor Drive, level 75. Moves: Flame Charge, Shock Wave, Ion Deluge, Thrash, Endure.
Aggressive and relentless in combat. Tends to throw himself into the battle again and again.

Team ThunderWaves

Taiga's foot tapped fiercely, her arms crossed as she watched for Scarlet to make her way.  She must've missed her with all the commotion going on around them, but the girl finally made it to the platform.  She waved her arm weakly through the air, smiling at Taiga.

"Told... told ya... I'd make it..." She laughed.  Taiga shook her head.

"Slowpoke."  She shot her face to the side, only to slug the Gijinka in the shoulder.  The metal clang of her fist meeting armor rang through the air.  Taiga winced, but wore a toothy grin.  "I'm just glad ya ain't dead yet.  We still got a job to do, right?"  The rails on the platform began to raise, as they began to descend into the depths of the island.  Taiga began to shudder.  Whatever was down here was making her skin crawl to no end.  "Well...the easy part's done huh?"  Just as the platform stopped, they could see a single path.  A door lit up with a bright light.  Taiga took a deep breath.  She was the first to walk up to the door, her hands tucked into the creases of her back.  "Sheesh...I'll see you on the other side then, alright Chrome Dome!"  Stepping through, she was met with a room with strange wooden poles sticking out of the ground.  Beside her was that strange Raichu from before, and another Gijinka that resembled Isole to some degree...although this was totally a guy.  No one else arrived behind them, so she assumed the worst.

"They split us up huh?"  She eyed her two mismatched teammates up and down, only to sigh.  "Ya'll think you can keep up?  I ain't got time to babysit, so I'm gonna need you to handle your business appropriately."  She winked at both of them.  "And don't go thinkin' my services are gonna be free either.  You owe me after this one, got it!?"  Walking further up, she heard a familiar voice, arguing with a smaller one.

“You’re right I DON’T understand, Veronica! Why are you with them still? Can’t you see what they’re doing is bad? Betty wouldn’t want this...”

“Yeah well we can’t ask her can we? They’re more dangerous than we are and if you can’t see that...” Her demeanor and stance changed once she saw the group of Gijinka before her.  Her defensiveness only made Taiga smirk.

“What’s...Ah!” The small girl managed to get out, before Veronica chopped her in the back of the neck.  The girl fell unconscious, as she grabbed her and pulled her back before stepping towards the group.

"You sure love to hear yourself talk, don'tcha?"  Taiga said, pressing her fists against her hips.  "You aren't gonna be able to run away this time, so you might as well give up!"  At the same time, in the back of her head.  Didn't they have help trying to beat down this batty bitch last time?  A bead of sweat dripped down her cheek at the realization.  They needed the help of a rampaging Zygarde to best her...and even then it was a stalemate.  She crossed her arms defiantly.  "You better give up now...your friend might get swept up in all this."

"What?! Excuse you, I do not talk to myself! I was talking to you three, but I suppose that was a lost cause to begin with, especially with you here," the woman harrumphed. "And Yuffie is not my friend! I told you this before, but she's nothing more than an annoyance." A bitter expression crossed her face. "Just like you, she's a plebeian who cannot comprehend our lofty goals. We are doing this for the good of Adarid, and because of that, I will not give up!"

"Well...I guess giving you an out of this situation was beyond pointless, huh?  Fufu."  Taiga assumed her starting position, placing both hands on the ground, one foot outstretched behind her while the other was tucked into her chest.  "You sure you wanna do this?  I definitely remember how strong you were...I can't forget your stupid face."  Nervous sweat still dripped from her brow, but she wore a huge smile.  "But..."  She looked the Crobat dead in the eye, "I'm not the same as I was last time."

"Of course it was pointless! You're the ones who need an out after all, not me." The woman scoffed. "I doubt you'd have grown enough that I can't handle you. You had Zygarde before, but unless these two next to you are secretly legendaries, you don't need to worry about me." She tossed her head arrogantly. "You should worry about yourselves instead! If you want to turn around now and go back home, I won't stop you. I'd rather avoid needless bloodshed, if possible."

"I don't wanna have to kill you either..."  Taiga mumbled.  "That girl there really seems to admire you...And she wouldn't do that if there was still some good in you, right?"  Taiga laughed.  "I must be goin' soft...but then again..."  Taiga dashed off, doing a short hop to land on a waterboard that appeared beneath her feet, "I won't be goin' easy just cause some bird brain digs ya, ya dig!?  FUFUFUFU!"  Taiga ollied into the sky, taking the board and throwing it at the bat with a wicked smile.  "Catch!"  She turned her head to the others.  "Wanna join in, or you got cold feet?!"

Marie took a deep breath as the group made their way down the lift, looking forward towards the circular disk of light. One by one, everyone made their way into the device, disappearing as they touched it. When it was finally Marie's turn, the girl stepped forward, closing her eyes as the light flashed before her. As Marie opened her eyes, the scenery around her blurred out as her eyes could only focus on something directly ahead of her. A familiar pressure that washed over her, locking her in place as her hands began to tremble. She had always known it was a possibility that she would run into him again, especially here. But no amount of mental preparation could have possibly prepared her for this encounter. She was barely stronger than she had been the last time they had met, and even the two legends they had met at the time were unable to do much to this man. The girl's shoulders felt stiff and she could barely breathe, the pressure he had about him being almost suffocating.

However, as the man spoke to her something strange washed over her. It wasn't as though she was confident she could fight him. And it wasn't as though she wasn't afraid of him. She was still terrified and she still didn't stand a chance to even touch him. Yet still, she was here. She knew what she had been getting into and she knew what it was she wanted to do. So, she simply nodded at his comment, muttering, "I know."  Gulping, tensing up even more as the man stood up to fight, Marie was getting ready to fight, when suddenly somebody else joined the fray. The girl looked, surprised at the unfamiliar muscular Zebstrika had joined the fray. She didn't remember seeing him on the boat or out in the field, though it became immediately clear why. The girl was a bit unsure what to make of the man being a Godslayer as well, though decided it was probably best not to think of that when he had begun to help them fight the Lucario.

As the group leaped into the fray, the girl took a deep breath after the Lucario had taken the shockwave. Feeling a new surge of strength within her, the girl let loose a torrent of bubbles that streamed towards the Lucario with more force then her water gun could. The Lucario didn't even need to turn towards Marie, though, to avoid the attack. Stepping back, the man swiftly got out of the way of the attack, beginning to bend his legs and turn towards Marie when he suddenly stopped. With impossibly fast reaction speeds the Lucario jumped back, dodging a shockwave of electricity that exploded where he had just been briefly. Marie grimaced at the Lucario's maneuverability, reaffirming again that he wasn't just powerful, but also far too fast for any of them to keep up with. Eyes going wide with this realization, the girl knew what it was she had to do.

Charging flames around his arms, the Zebstrika sprinted forward. As soon as began,  though, the Lucario kicked off the ground in a burst of speed. Closing the gap instantly, the Lucario thrust his shoulder into Jabari's gut, breaking the man's momentum. As the Lucario was now stopped and in close proximity of Jabari, Mac and Dora took this opportunity to go and close the gap. With Mac rushing forward quickly and Dora looking to swat her new arm at the Godslayer, the man looked to the Zebstrika in front of him. As Jabari reeled back another flaming punch, the Lucario struck forward with palm yet again while using his other hand to grab the man's arm. Sticking his leg between Jabari's the Lucario tripped the Zebstrika and began to spin him, leaping back and tossing him into the two charging gijinka before they could reach him. The instant he landed on the ground, though, he was met with a sudden burst of frigid wind, hitting true as he got his footing back.

Marie had a let loose a stream of icy wind as she saw the Lucario flip through the air and it had seemed that she had hit her mark. Of course, the Lucario didn't so much as flinch at this attack, both because of how weak it was and his own innate steel typing. But hurting him hadn't been what the girl was going for. Staying her ground, Marie was readying herself for the next opening she could find to strike the practically invincible Godslayer.

After walking through the flashing light, Nine found himself in some place bizarrely tranquil for the place they had just been in. Looking around, seeing nothing but flowers surrounding him, Nine whistled. "Wonder what Shaymin would think of this place," the boy mused to himself. Looking to his side, he then noticed that he had a companion with him in this field of flora. With a wave, he said, "fancy seeing you here Easter. Guess it's just the two of us, huh?" Looking forward, Nine shrugged with a grin saying, "well, I'm sure there's not much that could stop us." With that, the chaser began to walk forward surveying his surroundings, until he noticed someone in the distance. Watching as the woman stood up, Nine stood in place as the woman introduced herself. In spite of how lethargically she spoke, the fact remained that she was here in the Godslayer's base and had claimed to be a Godslayer herself. As such, the Houndoom knew that there was no reason to underestimate her, and no room for error. Despite this, he had decided to start this fight off as he always had.

Smiling at the woman, the Chaser said, "name's Nine." With a joking tone he then asked, "don't suppose you want to talk this out?"

"Well, if you're willing to give up now that would make things much easier." She replied with a small smile.

Nine chuckled at the woman's reply. "Oh you've got a sense of humor? That's pretty new for you folk. But sadly, the way back is blocked and you're between us and the way forward." Smiling, joking yet again, Nine said, "guess there's no chance of convincing you last minute to change your ways?"

"It's tempting. I wouldn't have to work any harder...but then where does that leave me when this is all done? Oh, no, I don't think I can do that."

"Didn't think so. Well, if we can't hash this out with words, guess there's only one thing left to do." As he got in a fighting stance, the Houndoom began to charge his arms with darkness. Firing off a dark pulse towards the woman, she stayed her ground charging a hand with electricity as she lazily waved it towards the attack. A bolt of lightning arced out from her hands, colliding with the dark energy before cleanly overpowering it. Seeing that his attack had been losing, Nine hopped to the side avoiding the thunderbolt as it struck into the ground next to him. Seeing that, as always, his attacks were going to need a bit more power behind them Nine began to focus his aura to empower his attacks. However, as he began to focus, Ankou looked towards him.

"No no, bad dog, don't try and win with little tricks now. Are you that scared of me?" As she taunted him, Nine could felt his focus become disrupted and upon trying again couldn't seem to do so.

With a cross between a grimace and smirk on his face, Nine simply said, "well, I know a strong and troublesome woman when I see one. And Ankou, you're nothing but trouble."

Mac rolled her eyes. "Oh please, we were supposed to come here right? So if I got here first I did it best. But I guess I'll just have to show you I'm better by beating up the bad guys we find down there." She grinned and flexed, then noticed somebody off in the distance, waving to him. "You're so slow!" She called out.

"Whaaat?! I thought it was who could beat the most bad guys and get here!" Ari waved his arms in frustration. "That's not fair! I didn't know the rules!" He turned to see what the Helioptile--no, Helio...lisk now? Yeah, Heliolisk--was looking at, but he should've known by her tone of voice that it was Kazo. "Hey big bro Kazo!" he yelled.

Eventually, the metal square they were on went down, and it was then that Ari realized it was some sort of moving platform thing. Looking around, he saw that it had stopped at a cube-shaped room with a circle of light in the middle. There was a pause as everyone took in the situation. And then Mac broke the silence. “Well, guess we might as well try it out.” And without further hesitation, she dashed towards the light. When she reached it she stood straight and a bright light flashed and when it faded she had gone.

"Oh, no way are you getting a headstart on me again!" Ari yelled out, following soon after.

He ended up in a similar room to the one he had just been in. So similar, he at first thought the circle thing hadn't made him disappear like it did Mac. "Eh...did it not work?" he mumbled, before realizing that the corners were more squared than before, and Mac was also here, along with a couple of others he recognized from the boat. "Oh...that's..." he trailed off. For some reason, he felt really weighed down. But not just that. He was also afraid. He wasn't sure why though.

And then he noticed the gijinka sitting in the middle of the room.

For a second, the Litleo thought he must be some legendary that he'd never seen before. That was the extent of the pressure he felt. Though from the way he started talking to those blue-haired girls, it seemed more like he was one of the bad guys. Which wasn't good. With that kind of power, he had to be a Godslayer. Ari started to tremble in fear. He had never called himself "just a child" before, but right now seemed like a good time to admit it. He was just a child. And the others with him were all children too. How could any of them stand against this guy? I wish Kazo were here...

Then he heard a noise from behind, the same noise that the circle had made when he had gone through. Someone pushed their way past the four children. Ari let out a small gasp when he saw who it was. Jabari. The strongest Zebstrika of Pride Rock. But even though he was strong, he still wasn't a lion, so he wasn't equal to them. Uncle James especially liked to stress that fact. Ari used to think that too, but after his travels, and especially after meeting Kazo and Mac, he realized that that was wrong. Lions were strong, but that didn't mean that they were the best. And there could be weak lions too. Like him. He was still a weak lion, but one day he would get super duper strong.

So, even though he felt a bit uncomfortable after remembering his uncle James's words, he still called out to him. "Hey, Jabari, it's been a long time, hasn't it? But...I'm glad you're here." Because unless these other two blue-haired girls had some sort of secret move up their sleeves, they weren't going to win against a Godslayer.

The Godslayer seemed to recognize him. "The Zebstrika. What are you doing here? Weren’t you told to be elsewhere...Ah. I sense it. You wish to fight me."

Wait, what? Then that meant...Jabari was also a Godslayer? But why? While Ari gazed up at him with shock and betrayal, the zebra grunted a reply. "Once I thought this the only way. The only way to raise my people up was to change the very fabric of the world."

Raise his people up? The Litleo felt troubled. So...he had become a Godslayer to help his fellow zebra? To raise them up? Did he mean he wanted to make them equal to lions? There's so much I don't know. I thought I needed to become stronger, to protect others, but it looks like I still don't know anything at all. While he knew that there were tons of gijinka that weren't lions that were just as good, it still felt wrong to think that...what he had been taught was wrong. That his home was wrong about something. That they had been telling people the wrong thing for a long time. And he had just happily gone along with it.

Which means...I was wrong too. And...is it still like that? Is my home still telling people the wrong thing? Ari couldn't imagine his mother, his wise, calm mother, knowingly telling people the wrong thing? Maybe she had been raised wrong too? So that meant it wasn't as bad...except it was still bad. Right?

He had a headache.

"Yet time and time again I was shown that there were those taking their destiny in their hands and changing it themselves. And now I know that I cannot stand by and let this happen anymore. Especially not when there are those like you who wouldn’t hesitate to crush children in your path."

Yeah. That was what was important. Spending too much time worrying about things didn't do anybody any good. He thought he had learned that the night his father spoke to him. But even if he needed a reminder, he would keep it in mind now. So what if he had been wrong?! There was nothing he could do about that, but what he could do was make sure he wasn't wrong in the future. If, no, when he became king, he would just tell people the right things, not the wrong things. And maybe Kazo and his other big bros could live there too, and help him out sometimes. Because it'd be really lonely to rule alone. Oh, and maybe Mac too, he thought.

The Godslayer shrugged. "I thought you understood. A warrior does not hesitate when someone comes to face him. But fine. I wanted to face you and the others in combat from the start. I had planned to do so after his plan was finished but I care not if I begin a little early.” He called towards the others then. “I have not forgotten you. This merely means I will have to strike you all down."

And then the battle started. Jabari lunged forward but missed. It had been so fast that Ari had barely been able to keep up with it, but he had missed? And been knocked back?

Mac shook her head and slapped her cheeks with both her hands. "What are we standing around for? We gotta help!" She then ran to the side and darted towards the Lucario with a Quick Attack. Only for the Lucario to move even faster behind her. He grabbed her by the back of the neck and tossed her into the bronze door.

The lighter blue-haired girl let out a gasp and then opened her mouth to let loose a shot of mud Mud Shot at the enemy at the same time Jabari fired a Shock Wave towards him. Then the darker blue-haired girl breathed out a blast of cold air.

Ari was still scared, and not sure how he felt about Jabari being a Godslayer--or former Godslayer, anyway. But he couldn't let that slow him down too much. The Litleo Worked himself Up into battle readiness, his spirits rising. I'll just make sure to rule the right way, so nobody from Pride Rock wants to become a Godslayer in the future, he thought. It was a bit shameful to think that one of the bad guys came from his own home, but he just had to make sure that wouldn't ever happen in the future. One day, Pride Rock will be the pride of Adarid. And it all starts here, with this fight!

Brooke let her cloak of flames dissipate as she came to a stop beside Easter. "Hmm… Forty-one… That’s a lot," she said, then grinned. Uh-oh. No way, it couldn't be. "You know what’s more than forty-one though? Sixty. Looks like ya finally lost at somethin’ Easter."

The Sylveon didn't let himself get too bothered by it though. He knew Brooke was strong. "Heh, guess so. Well, this isn't the first time I've lost, and not the first time to you either." He shrugged his shoulders. She always beat me out in protecting others...making sure everybody was safe. Before, I would just go wild, and not pay attention to those kinds of things. She had been acting a bit more reckless lately, but that might have been his influence.

The Emboar glanced over at where Easter was gesturing. "Huh? No, Dora should still be back on the ship. Why would she…" she trailed off. "Dora? Dora! What are you doing here?" So it was Dora then. He had thought so, but Brooke's reaction confirmed it. The fire type rushed over to the now-Quagsire, who was, amusingly enough, almost taller than Brooke now...wait. That meant that Dora was probably taller than him now. Feeling a little annoyed despite himself--Sylveon is supposed to be one of the taller Eeveelutions too--Easter watched the two interact.

"You need to get back to the boat."

"Nuh uh! We're s'posed to go downstairs and I can't do that from the boat. Plus there's a lot of those weird ladies that way. They're not very nice."

He was about to cut in with his theory that no, they were probably secretly space aliens, or if not that, robotic space aliens, but then he caught sight of Nine. "Well, seems like I'm the slow one of the bunch here."

"Guess so," Easter replied. "But I imagine you cleaned up quite a few of those aliens on your way here."

Soon after, it was decided that they would go down. Upon seeing what had to be a teleportal or teleporter, one brave soul stepped forward, and after that, the rest followed, Easter one of them. He glanced back at Brooke and Dora with some concern. Hopefully, those two would be all right. Though Dora was the one he was really worried about.

The teleporter brought him to a field of flowers for some reason. Which was nice, but kind of odd too. For some reason, he was the only one around, even though he had just entered the teleportal with a bunch of other gijinka, making sure to be near Brooke and Dora. Which wasn't good, as that meant he couldn't try to protect them.

"Wonder what Shaymin would think of this place," he heard a voice say.

"Shaymin, as in the legendary?" Easter wondered. Shaymin appeared in many of the old annals of history, but he hadn't ever heard of anybody meeting them. Actually, he had thought that the legendary must have died a long time ago.

The other who had spoken, who turned out to be Nine, waved at him, "fancy seeing you here Easter. Guess it's just the two of us, huh?" Looking forward, the Houndoom shrugged with a grin saying, "well, I'm sure there's not much that could stop us."

"Heh, you're probably right." Even back then, when Easter had first met him, he had realized the other was a battler. That, plus his dark typing, and the fact he was from Trailsau, had made him an irresistible target to fight. It didn't hurt that he was cute and even fell for his honey trap, but that hadn't taken much effort on Easter's part. As he had figured out recently, the man had been quite the flirt when it came to women.

But it sounds like he's changed, and so have I, Easter thought. While he still felt the same feelings of exultation from a good fight, it was tempered by the knowledge that fighting wasn't always the best way. Actually, it usually wasn't. So, maybe, the two of them could just bluff their way out of this.

It was then the Sylveon noticed a beautiful, almost otherworldy-looking woman. He hadn't even seen her before she stood up, vanishing and reappearing a dozen feet from them. "I usually don’t let guests into my sanctuary." She said, her voice tired and distant. "Yet here you are. And here I am." She let out a sigh. "My name is Ankou. My leader has tasked me with stopping those who come here. I’m very sorry but I have to destroy you now."

Well if that wasn't something. "I'm sorry but I have to destroy you?" If she were actually sorry, she wouldn't do it. Since she didn't look very intimidated by the two of them, Easter prepared to fight. And then paused. Because Nine was...trying to talk it out?

Unfortunately, it didn't look like it would work, but it was true that was another method to use against the Godslayers. Not that he had ever met any before, except for Kah. And the space aliens, if they counted. And they hadn't been very talkative. Still, it was odd that the Houndoom seemed so...comfortable at the idea of facing Godslayers. And then his words...he must have met them before.

The two faced off then, Nine following up with a Nasty Plot, but the attack was soon stopped by the Gardevoir's Taunt. With a cross between a grimace and smirk on his face, Nine simply said, "well, I know a strong and troublesome woman when I see one. And Ankou, you're nothing but trouble."

"She really does seem like it, doesn't she," Easter agreed. So much for his idea of focusing on support from now on. It looks like I'll have to go into an all-out offensive here. Thankfully, I'm pretty familiar with that kind of tactic. He powered up a Psyshock, sending it flying toward the enemy.

The Gardevoir evaded the attack easily with another use of Teleport, a calm, confident smile on her face.

Easter gritted his teeth. "Oh, I can see Nine was right about you. You're definitely the annoying type." He sent out a Swift, causing her expression to morph into surprise when she was actually hit. "But no matter whether you're a god or a Godslayer, you'll still go down in the end."

Perhaps he shouldn't have said that, as it seemed to switch her focus from Nine to him. "I wish you were right. It would be wonderful to rest. But alas I cannot do that with the world as it is. Which is why I won't stop until I've broken your pretty bodies." Well, if that didn't sound ominous. She fired off familiar purple orbs at him, which he barely managed to evade, and only by dint of experience in using the move himself. He could already tell this battle wouldn't be easy. A smile started to form on his face at the thought. "Yeah, this might be fun." After all, he could finally let loose. There was no Dora here to worry about now, though that thought caused the smile to slip from his face. I hope she's doing all right.

Others began to arrive, filling up the lift, a lot of them wahine, and a lot of them pretty cute. That sweet-looking Sylveon especially. She looked so cute and innocent...definitely not the type to fight on a battlefield. She was probably in over her head here. "Gonna go see if that wahine needs help," he told Nani and began to approach the pretty pink-haired cutie. Just as he was getting near though, another wahine approached, though he wasn't sure what kind of gijinka she was. She was probably a fire type, judging from her clothing and the long ponytail behind her, and it looked like she knew the other. Score! he thought. He knew that coming here hadn't been in vain if he got to meet two cuties like this.

And then they started talking about something that was definitely not very cute.

"Ha! Forty-one! I'd like to see you beat that!"

"Hmm… Forty-one… That’s a lot. You know what’s more than forty-one though? Sixty. Looks like ya finally lost at somethin’ Easter."

Sure, they could've been talking about how many articles of clothing they had, or how much money they had spent while shopping, but somehow, Keanu didn't think that was it. The bloodthirsty vibe he got from both confirmed it. They were talking about how many robots they had killed...or disassembled, more like.

Gulping, Keanu backed off. He hadn't been keeping count, but he was pretty sure he hadn't beaten nearly as many. Why is it all the wahine on this continent are absolutely lolo? he thought. After that, he stayed away. Even when one of the wahine, a Sharpedo, arrived in an impressive jet of water that would normally have had him over there to talk to her about. He specialized in surfing, but water techniques, in general, were pretty cool. Her striking good looks didn't hurt either.

"Well...you lot sure are lucky you made it this far.  I don't know any of your names, but you gotta be worth somethin' as fighter, right?  Fufufu."  She blew Keanu a kiss.  "Just watch your backs and make sure not to get us all killed, 'kay?"

Well look at that, he thought, tempted to approach her and introduce himself, especially after her display of water-type mastery. But he thought better of it when he realized that 1) she was a dark type, which his newfound psychic senses did not like, and 2) her teeth had been sharpened into fine points.

I was right before. Absolutely lolo.

Soon after, the lift took them down to a cube-shaped room with a teleporter. Keanu was content to sit back and enter last since he wasn't much of a fighter. But seeing Marie move toward it prompted him to step forward as well. Except when he arrived on the other side, Marie was nowhere nearby. Neither were Nani and Randy. But he did recognize one of the gijinka who stood alongside him. It was that Sharpedo from earlier. Feeling a little discomfited, but also still low-key admiring her, he noticed the other was a Rotom boy who looked a little younger than him.

"They split us up huh?"  The Sharpedo eyed her two teammates up and down, only to sigh.  "Ya'll think you can keep up?  I ain't got time to babysit, so I'm gonna need you to handle your business appropriately."  She winked at both of them.  "And don't go thinkin' my services are gonna be free either.  You owe me after this one, got it!?"

"Don't worry about that," Keanu grinned at her. "I haven't needed to be babysat in a long time. I'm Keanu by the way, what's your name?" He was still a little nervous around this person, but at least she wasn't an enemy. "And yours?" he turned to the Rotom.

The Sharpedo walked further up then, drawing Keanu's attention to the room they were in. It was filled with tall wooden poles, and at the far end of the room was a Crobat and a Fletchling who looked to be arguing with each other.

"Are the two of them Godslayers then?" Keanu wondered. Except then the Fletchling was soon knocked out, so...maybe not? Was the Fletchling the Godslayer? No, more likely it was the Crobat. He thought he had seen the Fletchling back on the ship, after all.

"So you made it here after all. It’s a shame that commoners like you ended up having to face me. You’re basically out of time already. Soon we’ll have a world free from the grip of so-called Legendaries. And I am not about to let you ruin that."

Keanu was about to react to that when the Sharpedo began to talk to her. It seemed like the two already knew each other, though, from the sounds of it, it wasn't a friendly relationship. And then the two started to talk about killing, which made the Raichu sweat a bit. Yeah. This was it, wasn't it? The real deal. Not like he hadn't faced that before already, but that didn't really make this any better.

"I don't wanna have to kill you either..."  the Sharpedo mumbled.  "That girl there really seems to admire you...And she wouldn't do that if there was still some good in you, right?"  She laughed.  "I must be goin' soft...but then again...I won't be goin' easy just cause some bird brain digs ya, ya dig!?  FUFUFUFU!"  The Sharpedo ollied into the sky, taking the waterboard that had appeared below her feet and throwing it at the bat with a wicked smile.  "Catch!"

"I am doing good! But none of you seem to understand," Veronica replied, jumping up to avoid the board and landing on top of one of the wooden poles.

The Sharpedo turned her head to the others.  "Wanna join in, or you got cold feet?!"

"Guess we gotta jump in too," Keanu commented to the Rotom, before literally jumping up, sending an Electro Ball at the Crobat in the process. "You like beef?!" he shouted.

"What does that even mean?!" she shouted back, jumping to another pole to avoid the attack. "Don't try to confuse me with your mishmashed creole!" She sent out an X-shaped attack against him, which Keanu wasn't quite able to avoid. This wahine was even faster than he was. Which was frustrating. First that Lucario, and now this person.

"And don't you try to confuse me with your big words!" What even was a creole anyway?

"Humph, typical. I should've known a commoner such as you would also be unlearned," the wahine said, and something about her voice, or the Taunting way she had said it, caused Keanu to lose his focus just as he was about to send out a Thunder Wave against her to hopefully slow her down. This wasn't good. Especially not when she turned the full force of her attention on him. He would normally be flattered by that, especially with her looks, but she was also an enemy. "Don't think I'll go easy on you just because you're too ignorant to run away," she said, diving down upon him from her perch on high. The attack bowled the Raichu over, and by the time he got back up from the ground, the Crobat had already returned to the pole, smirking smugly down at him.

She turned her attention to the Rotom then. "I'll offer you the same thing I did for Taiga. If you want to leave, I won't stop you. As you've seen just now, I'm much stronger than I look. And I'm gracious enough to let you go if you don't want to fight."

Keanu gritted his teeth. He didn't want to fight, but he didn't have much choice in the matter if he wanted to keep his ohana safe. Still, he turned to the Rotom as well, unsure how the boy would respond.

Randy watched as the whole group of gijinka that was from the boat basically made it here to the tower, and it was pretty much as he expected. There was a lot of them...but at the fact of the matter was that they were here at the tower...especially the Alola crew. Soon, however, they all made a mad dash towards the shining light from a door or whatever this teleporter was...and Randy ended up going in after a good portion of his group.

...what would come next would absolutely upset the Incineroar.

Randy found himself in a room these that was surrounded in what looked like stadium seats. The ground was filled with sand and there were several pillars on the left and right. It resembled some sort of coliseum. But what was worse for him, the Incineroar looked around and didn't see Keanu, Nani or Marie. What he did see was a Gabite and a Pupitar, the same one he saw earlier on the battlefield.

Shit...did they separate me and the others? Grrrrr...damn them. ...Guardians of Alola...please keep them safe...

“Welcome ‘heroes’ to the last fight of your life.”

Randy turned, seeing that there was now a Salamance, who was standing on top of the one pillar. No lie to the Incineroar, that was one interesting and cool entrance. Still, there was just something about this gijinka...though he figured there was only one thing: he was in the same league as Allie and that Lucario.

“So it’s you. What a coincidence. I was told to wait here to stop anyone from interrupting but I didn’t expect to be given such a gift. I get to have my revenge on one of the ‘heroes’ who got my brother killed personally.”

"...yeesh, y'all just ended up getting his brother killed?" Randy made the slight comment, shaking his head whilst rubbing the back of his neck. And here I thought in the groups, I was the one to do stupid things...

We had nothing left except each other. And I guess now don’t even have that. Doesn't really matter, does it? You wouldn't be here if our reasons made sense to you. Well, suppose all that’s left to do is see this through to the end...and make you pay in particular.”

"Yeah, you mentioned it before, sports star," Kazo growled as he listened to Ryu. "Don't think it'll be the same as last time either. Our roles are reversed after all," He said as he bounced on his toes.

Denku looked at Kazo, a bit of worry on his face. He then turned to Randy. "So, what can you do, big guy?" Denku asked.

"Heh...gimme the chance to do it and..." Randy started, before noticing the Fire Blast being launched by the Salamance. "...talk about good timing." he chuckled, before moving his hands slightly and firing off his own Fire Blast to counter act the opposing one.

Kazo flinched a bit at the blast of flames colliding, but quickly recovered, charging ahead.

"Kaz, wait!" Denku called out, but his words fell on deaf ears. The dragon leapt into the air, spinning before dropping a giant axe kick at Ryu, who simply raised his arm and blocked it. The two stared hatefully into the other's eyes, no words exchanged as Kazo leapt away from the attack. "C'mon, we need to back him up!" Denku called out as he ran to catch up with Kazo.

"Heh, well I'm down for that." Randy growled with a wide grin on his face. "You want first dibs after your friend?"

"Yeah, I do!" Denku called out as he fired off with a blast of pressurized air, drawing his fist back as he charged a Dark Pulse into the fist. He then threw a punch as he approached Ryu, who held out his hand and caught the fist, gritting his teeth as the Dark Pulse exploded in his hand. The Salamance then spun around, taking Denku along for the ride before he launched him into a pillar of the coliseum.

"So that's the move I saw ya use before...heh, not bad!" Randy smirked, watching the Pupitar striking at the Salamance before immediately rushing in after him. The moment Ryu launched Denku into a pillar, the Incineroar pounced at the chance, using a Close Combat assault almost immediately. "Hehe, so, hero of the arena, eh? Well...guess that would make you a bit of a 'Face'...well, you just met your 'Heel'!"

“Delusional,” Brooke scoffed. “Every single one of you. So high on your own supply that you won’t stop to think about what you’re actually doing.” Flames roared to life at her heels and coiled up around her body, snaking until she was completed ensnared in a cloak of blue fire. “Well I’m sick of it. All of it. So just shut the hell up and fight already.”

Unfamiliar faces surrounded her; a Scizor and another Gijinka she didn’t recognize at all. They were like a Pikachu… but in a creepy way. “You two were on the boat, right? That means we’re on the same side. My name’s Brooke, but we don’t really have time for pleasantries. Be ready to back me up.” She planted both feet firmly on the ground, the flames around her burning brighter.

“Ready… Go!” The Emboar sprang toward the Miltank. She was employing the same strategy from earlier, starting with light hits from Flame Charge to build up her momentum. The goal was to be out of the way before her opponent had time to retaliate. She would pull out the heavy attacks if she had too, but it was best to avoid them for now, because there was no telling how long she was going to have to fight before the day was out.

“You two were on the boat, right? That means we’re on the same side. My name’s Brooke, but we don’t really have time for pleasantries. Be ready to back me up.”

"Nani," the Mimikyu briefly responded, leaving her introduction at just that. As this lady - Brooke - had said, there wasn't time for idle chit-chat. There was an enemy in front of the sudden assembly of three girls, neither of the other two being people she recognized. And where there was an enemy, there would have to be a fight. She didn't like that, but those were the simple facts. And while there was still a lot to think about behind just what it was these Godslayers were up to, and their goals and all, she could worry about that later.

“Ready… Go!”

"Going!" Nani waited for only a bit, looking at just what Brooke was doing. What was her posture like before? Like... this, right? Copy that. And she'd set herself ablaze, then charged in like... this! Ready... Go! In a manner all too similar to what Brooke had done, Nani ran head-first into the fight ahead of her. Unlike Brooke, however, Nani seemed to have no intention of creating space between her and her opponent. At least at the start of the fight, being right up in her opponent's face was exactly where Nani wanted to set herself up.

Lok
Team ThunderWaves

They were split up into groups when they entered, Lok being paired up with an odd looking Raichu and a Sharpedo. As they continued along, they found themselves in a small room with a bunch of poles everywhere. In it was a young girl and a women. From their conversation, Lok was able to gather that the women was, in fact, one of the Godslayers they were meant to fight. He froze for a second, turning to his new teammates. They seemed strong, about as strong as Nine anyways. They must be, right? They wouldn't have made it this far. The Sharpedo wasted no time, diving into combat, with the Raichu following shortly after. Taking a deep breath, Lok levitated off of the ground, floating just above the poles, before following behind the two.

Lok was caught by surprise with just how fast everyone was. Especially the Crobat. Hitting her was going to be difficult, he thought, as lighting started to crackle from his fists. "I'll offer you the same thing I did for Taiga. If you want to leave, I won't stop you. As you've seen just now, I'm much stronger than I look. And I'm gracious enough to let you go if you don't want to fight." He didn't hesitate, raising his arm towards her.

"I appreciate the gesture, but..." He fired off a Thunderbolt towards her, fully expecting to whiff the first one. "I've been through too much to give up now!" He said, keeping his eyes locked onto the Crobat.

Scarlet
Team SuperPower

Scarlet picked herself up, still beat up from fighting the Genesect before. But she wasn't going to let that stop her, as she turned to Taiga, smiling. "Give them hell." She said, before turning towards the door in front of them. Taking a deep breath and brushing off some dust on her shoulder, she stepped forwards.

The first thing she noticed is that she couldn't find Taiga. In fact, almost everyone that had been around her was gone. The only gijinka she could fine was an Emboar and what she thought was a Pikachu. The second thing she noticed was that they were now in a strange, oddly round arena. In front of them was a Miltank - one of them. The way the Miltank talked angered her, talking about bringing a wonderful world. The Emboar turned towards the two. “You two were on the boat, right? That means we’re on the same side. My name’s Brooke, but we don’t really have time for pleasantries. Be ready to back me up.”

"Scarlet." She said, her attention still on the Miltank, as she got into a sprinters pose. "On your mark." She said, her wings starting to flutter. As soon as Brooke said Go, Scarlet jumped into the air, a crimson Tailwind following behind her. The other two were charging right towards the Miltank front so, after landing, Scarlet quickly jumped once more, soaring over the trio of Gijinka and landing behind the Miltank. Her arms were in front of her, ready for any trickery Mia might try to, at the very least, brace herself.

Group 1: Easter and Nine

Ankou looked sadly between the two of them. "You enjoy this fighting don't you? I can feel it, your desire for battle, crawling in my mind. It makes my heart heavy to know there are those who want such a chaotic and violent world...Soon, soon we'll escape. Soon I'll be free."

She closed her eyes and vanished from view, leaving behind an ominous "And so will you."

The girl reappeared next to Nine. She leaned in and her mouth formed the shape of a kiss. Though instead of the usual warm feeling accompanied by such Nine would feel an almost burning pain as his energy was sucked out of him by the woman.

Once he acted she would once again teleport. This time appearing behind him, back to his back, as she elegantly raised a hand towards Easter and shot out a Thunderbolt at the Sylveon.

Spoiler

Reminder: Ankou, Gardevoir, Synchronize, level 80. Moves: Teleport, Psyshock, Draining Kiss, Thunderbolt, Taunt.

Don't forget you can control some of her actions to make it go at better pace. Most of the actions will be from you all since I can only do so much without collaborating with everyone at once.

Group 2: Denku, Kazo, and Randy

Ryu grunted as Randy's fist collided with his jaw. He shifted his position and swung his arm up to rake a Dragon Claw across Randy's chest. "Heel is it? How ironic." Ryu spat to the side. "Well I guess that's fine. For tonight I can play the part of a fallen hero just fine. Two of you look more the part of villain anyway." With that he ducked down and spread his wings out. With a growl he swung to the side and hit Randy with his wing and threw the Incineroar back.

As Randy went through the air Ryu launched another Fire Blast. The moment he did he jumped into the air and dove backwards. Moving for Kazo again, reaching for the other Dragon-type with his claw extended.

Spoiler

Reminder: Ryu, Salamence, Intimidate, level 80. Moves, Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Wing Attack, Draco Meteor, Fire Blast.

Don't forget you can control some of his actions to make it go at better pace. Most of the actions will be from you all since I can only do so much without collaborating with everyone at once.

Group 3: Brooke, Nani, and Scarlet

Mia let out a slight giggle. "I see you're the type that really means business. That's better. Maybe we could have gotten along before all this." She braced herself as the Gijinka, no, the two Gijinka, moved to attack her with a flaming charge. Planting her feet firmly on the ground she took the hits from both sides with an ease that showed she was tougher than she looked.

Then, showing that she was also stronger and faster than she appeared, Mia pushed off from the floor and dove backwards and into the air away from the two. With a sickly sweet smile when she twisted to face the Scizor she curled her body as she fell and slammed into the girl with a Rollout attack. She bounced off of the Scizor and wheeling herself away towards the edge of the floor where the wall began to slope upwards and started to move along the edge. Picking up speed as she went.

Spoiler

Reminder: Mia, Miltank, Scrappy, level 80. Moves: Rollout, Body Slam, Zen Headbutt, Fire Punch, Heal Bell.

I feel I should especially remind that you can do some of her actions otherwise it'll be easy to fall behind the rest. Especially as my actual posts will only be bits like this.

Group 4: Taiga, Keanu, and Lok

Veronica rolled her eyes at Lok's words, and attack, and moved swiftly from the pole she was standing on to the one next to it. The pole she had left barely moved despite the speed at which she took off from it. Gathering a Tailwind behind her Veronica then used the momentum from the move to dash down at Lok, bringing her arms across in a Cross Poison attack. Whatever the outcome she continued her motion by flying up into the air and landing on the pole behind the group instead.

Spoiler

Reminder: Veronica, Crobat, Infiltrator, level 75. Moves: Leech Life, Cross Poison, Tailwind, Taunt, Fly.

I'm still not 100% on how to handle this one for my host posts but I thought I'd give some action this time since still at starting stage of it and I'll work out with Sethera if I should continue giving a couple actions for my post or what. But for now don't forget to check with Sethera for dialogue you need and remember that you can control some of Veronica's actions to not make this drag for too long

Most of the action should be in your posts since I can't do too much in these without stealing your thunder or collaborating with everyone. It'll likely still be that way even if we count Sethera's posts as the host post for this group.

Group 5: Mac, Ari, Marie, Dora

The Lucario tilted his head slightly to the side as he felt the ice from Marie's attack surround him. The attack would weigh him down slightly, cut his speed, but only by a small fraction. As a whole he still seemed unconcerned about the assailants. Even with Jabari wreathing himself in flames and launching towards him in conjunction with Marie's attack.

With far too much ease the Lucario's body blurred with extreme speed as he met Jabari halfway and slammed his elbow into the side of the Zebstrika's head.

Jabari grunted as his head snapped to the side but, body still covered in flames, he moved back to strike the Lucario again. Just barely grazing the Lucario's shoulder.

With a slight frown the powerful Godslayer kicked off and moved several feet from Jabari. Placing his hands together he fired off a metallic pulse of energy at Jabari.

The attack was struck by Dora's Mud Shot and a surprisingly powerful electric attack from Mac but even together it still didn't stop the Flash Cannon's path.

Mac narrowed her eyes as she realized that the Lucario was focusing mostly on Jabari. "Gonna make him regret that." she muttered and, crouching, took off with a Quick Attack. "Hey, uh, arms girl don't stop attacking!"

Dora, who realized a few second later that meant her, jumped and moved off to the side before shooting a long Water Gun towards the Lucario. Trying to move the attack with the Godslayer's movements.

Mac missed her Quick Attack, without the Lucario having to even move much, and the man seemed to discount her as he aimed an Aura Sphere towards Ari. Having felt the sudden increase of power from that direction.

Despite this Mac wasn't deterred. In fact she smirked as she rolled behind the Lucario and swung a leg at his knee. Striking the Lucario and causing him to stumble just slightly.

Jabari surged in the direction of where Ari was. He hesitated for a moment as he looked at the lion cub's face but then brought his fists down on the Aura Sphere. Sending its trajectory straight to the ground where it made a small crater. "You are young, guiltless, I won't let you be harmed." Jabari said as he turned back towards the Lucario.

"Hey Ari!" Mac called out after then. "How about we show him that?"

Upon saying this Mac gasped out as the Lucario swung his leg into her gut and launched her across the room. She hit the wall and bounced off but still managed to remain on her feet. Her body started to crackle as she Charged up electricity.

Spoiler

Reminder: Lucario, Inner Focus, level 95. Moves: Aura Sphere, Force Palm, Flash Cannon, Extreme Speed, Detect.

Jabari, Zebstrika, Motor Drive, level 75. Moves: Flame Charge, Shock Wave, Ion Deluge, Thrash, Endure.

Also I think it might be good for this one to also be able to include Mac and Dora stuff too if you can't easily get some info from me.

As Nine watched the opponent, his eyes went wide with surprise as she teleported away from Easter's attack. Settling back on Ankou as she reappeared, Nine watched her intently, focused on her and seeming to wait for something. As Easter sent out yet another attack, Nine watched as the woman teleported yet again. His eyes snapping back over to the girl as she appeared, watching the exchange between both her and Easter again. As Easter managed to score a hit, the woman retaliated before finally disappearing and reappearing in front of Nine. Surprised both by her appearance and the nature of her attack, Nine couldn't get away from her. Wincing as the pain radiated across his face, Nine stepped forward to get closer to the girl, charging his arm with darkness.

Assess. His opponent was a godslayer. Her body was more of a lithe build. All but one of her attacks she had used so far had been ones from a distance. She teleported to avoid when she could. With that, Nine figured she would be confident in her strength, but not arrogant. She was stronger than them, but didn't think herself invincible, so she would likely try to avoid being hit then just take it. Threaten.

Darkness continuing to course across his arm, Nine swung it forward towards the woman, the Gardevoir teleporting away from his attack before he could complete it. Planting his foot into the ground, Nine stopped his forward momentum. There was no scream. There were no piercing red eyes. But space was normal. Reality would not change. And her timing was far easier to read. So, if she was going to run like that, Nine would make her know that near him was no where safe. Continuing the swing of his arm, Nine pivoted on his foot as the woman reappeared behind him. After her attack at Easter, he sent a dark pulse into her back, causing the woman to lurch forward. Planting his foot in the ground, facing Ankou now, the woman turned to face him in kind. Charging her hand with electricity, Nine ignited his arm with flame and the two launched their attacks at each other point blank. Naturally, Ankou's attack had struck true through Nine's flames, the Houndoom reeling his arm back in pain as the thunderbolt had greatly shocked it. Yet still, she was not unscathed herself, being so close to the flames that they managed to to strike her arm, albeit to a lesser effect then her own attack.

Clenching his fist, getting the feeling back in his shocked arm, Nine was ready to strike again only for Ankou to teleport away. As she created some distance between herself and the two chasers, Nine couldn't help but grin. "Well, he might be a fighter, but I assure I'm far more a conversationalist then my Sylveon companion." Joking, he said, "it's just a shame for you that my first language is Trailsau."

DcxYSU0.png?1

Marie continued to watch the battle from where she was standing, waiting for her next attack opportunity. She also felt somewhat energized by the site of both the electric girl and the other godslayer seeming to manage to land two attacks of their own against the Godslayer, even if only barely, making the girl think she was doing the right thing. As the Lucario kicked the girl, Mac, Marie called out, "Arms Girl! Let's go!" Taking a deep breath, the girl let out a stream of bubbles towards the Lucario as his attention snapped towards her. As he easily side-stepped the attack, Dora had come attacking from behind, leaping towards the Lucario and swinging her arm at him. The Godslayer reached back without looking at the girl, and in one fluid motion grabbed her arm and tossed her to the ground in front of him.

Jabari, having just deflected the attack from Ari charged electricity around himself before sending it out in a shockwave towards the Lucario. Channeling his aura through his hands, the Lucario pivoted towards the man. Raising his arms up, a sphere of aura formed to block the electricity, though Jabari wasn't deterred by this in the slightest. Already beginning his charge forward, electricity coursing across his arms, and began to unleash a flurry of punches towards the Lucario. Taking a deep breath, the Lucario brought up both of his arms as he began to focus on his foe. With each punch, the Godslayer took a slight back step while parrying one of Jabari's arms with his palm. In spite of the speed at which Jabari continued to advance and the speed at which he punched, the Lucario always seemed to be one step ahead of him, deflecting each and everyone one of his attack. As Jabari reeled back his arm for the final punch of the attack, the Lucario's posture changed, now looking to counter. Charging both of his palms with aura, the man seemed ready to strike back only to suddenly seem to notice something.

Bringing one of his arms back, the Lucario's footing suddenly shifted and he turned to have his side facing Jabari. His other side now was facing the Wooper he had tossed to the ground, the girl in question now launching a mud shot from her prone position. Thrusting out both of his palms at once, the Lucario's attack met both of his assailants at once. The aura alone from his palm was enough to bat away the mud, with his other palm clashing with Jabari's fist. Once again, the Lucario proved to be the stronger of the two Godslayers as Jabari was forced back, his feet skidding across the ground as the Lucario had managed to push him back. As both of the palm thrusts of the Lucario had gone out, though, he was assailed by yet another chilling wind. Quite like the last one, the attack had done relatively no damage to the man, yet it left behind another layer of frost that seemed to weigh down on the man and hamper him.

Marie had been energized yet again by yet another attack of hers landing. She knew that she was doing well, and even if her attacks weren't going to deal much damage all she had to do was slow the Lucario. She didn't know what it would do, and she knew that it wouldn't make her stand any more of a chance against him. But maybe, just maybe, if she could keep slowing him, then the other Godslayer might be able to do something about him. Marie continued to focus on the Lucario, waiting for her next chance to strike. As the girl blinked, though, her field of vision was suddenly filled with a different sight. The Lucario. He was close. How did he get so close? Was he actually this fast?

Marie couldn't process the speed at which the man had just moved and could she, her body was far too slow to react to do anything about the swift kick striking into her side. Breathless, the wind being knocked out of her from the sudden attack, Marie was sent flying from her position and into the wall. Sliding off the wall and falling to the ground, Marie grit her teeth, wincing in pain as this familiar sensation of pain radiated across her. Taking deep breath after deep breath, trying to pick herself up, Marie slowly pushed off the ground to get back to her feet.

Ari almost had a heart attack at seeing the large sphere of power headed toward him. Which was then redirected by Jabari. "You are young, guiltless, I won't let you be harmed," the Zebstrika said as he turned back towards the Godslayer. But Ari had seen him hesitate.

"...Thanks," he muttered. He was grateful for the other preventing the attack, but he almost hadn't. Not that he owed it to Ari or anything--well, he kind of did, as a citizen of Pride Rock, but they weren't even in Pride Rock, and he was pretty sure Jabari wasn't a citizen anymore if he had become a Godslayer. Anyway, the point was, the Litleo had no idea what to think. So he decided to take a leaf from Kazo's book and say nothing more. Sometimes it was better to keep your mouth shut if you didn't know what to say, after all.

"Hey Ari!" Mac called out after then. "How about we show him that?"

"Huh? Already?" the Litleo asked, but took the opportunity while the Lucario was distracted by Jabari, and then that darker blue-haired girl, to get ready. Relax. I can do it. Just like Zekrom told me.

As if sensing what was going to happen, the Godslayer turned toward him, firing off a Flash Cannon. But Ari had learned from before, so he was already in mid-jump when the attack came. The lighter blue-haired girl had shot out an attack of her own as well, a quick jet of water that reached the Godslayer before his own attack reached Ari. As the Godslayer turned slightly to deal with her, the Litleo had landed safely out of range.

Focus. Gazing up at the sky, Ari breathed out a large flaming orb with a second layer of flame around it in a cross shape. He kept adding more fire to it until it was almost too much for him to handle.

Ankou looked sadly between the two of them. "You enjoy this fighting don't you? I can feel it, your desire for battle, crawling in my mind. It makes my heart heavy to know there are those who want such a chaotic and violent world...Soon, soon we'll escape. Soon I'll be free."

Before Easter could react to that, she closed her eyes and vanished from view, leaving behind an ominous "And so will you."

Right after she attacked Nine with a familiar move that Easter had used himself multiple times--it had been quite fun to literally kiss the life from his opponent's. An extra dose of humiliation to their defeat at his hands. He had eventually replaced it with Moonblast, which he found did far more damage, but its ability to restore some health to him had been quite a boon when he had been younger and weaker.

But that also meant that they couldn't spend too long trying to take this woman down. She was, like him, made to last. So while he knew that he himself had the endurance for a long, drawn-out battle, he wasn't sure about Nine. Did he also have healing moves on him? He could have the Flash Fire ability, though he was just as likely to have Early Bird or Unnerve. But even if he did, Easter didn't have any fire-type moves on him. Almost, he thought. He had almost decided to learn one, but now wasn't the time to be crying over spilled milk.

Either way, both of them were screwed, since she had used Taunt. Which put the two of them on a countdown. The pressure was on. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

And then a shock. He had been so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't manage to avoid the Thunderbolt in time. Gritting his teeth at the power of the attack--this woman is no slouch--he was about to retaliate, and then paused when he saw Nine next to her. He didn't want to cause any friendly fire.

The two attacked each other at point-blank in a mixture of elemental energies. Impressed, Easter waited impatiently as he charged up a Moonblast. Steady, steady, now! he thought, releasing the attack as soon as he saw the first shimmer of green from her arrival. She probably didn't expect to be hit just after arriving from a Teleport, after all, though Nine had pulled that same move just moments earlier.

So perhaps Ankou would've avoided it, but she had gotten distracted by Nine's words--which were pretty amusing if he said so himself. "I am used to dealing with brutes, do not worry. A mad dog like you will surely be put down." It was right as she finished speaking that the attack hit. The Gardevoir took the move in graceful silence, but he could tell that it had done some damage.

Those words of hers...many gijinka had said things along similar lines to him, but they were the ones eating dirt in the end. Not him. And not Nine either, probably. "I think you're the one who needs to worry about being put down," Easter said. He rushed up toward the Gardevoir then, aiming a kick at her. When she teleported away, he released a Swift which shot toward her unerringly, though he wasn't fast enough this time to avoid the Psyshock she sent his way in return. "And there's nothing wrong with being mad...all the best gijinka are, after all," he grinned.

He really shouldn't be enjoying this as much as he was, but it had been so long since he had gotten to let himself loose like this.

Now I know what it's like to fight me, Keanu thought with some annoyance. This wahine kept moving around it was hard to pin her down, even harder now that she had gotten a Tailwind behind her. Shooting off an Electro Ball, and clicking his tongue when it missed, he glanced at the others--who still hadn't introduced themselves, though Veronica had addressed one of them by name. Guess these two are all business, he thought. Then again, I guess it's not that important to get to know one another. Not like this is a luau or anything.

"You might as well give up," Veronica said. "It's not like any of you are going to hit me."

"Oh, kulikuli!" Keanu shouted. "Shut up!" he explained at seeing her quizzical look. "You might as well give up on making us give up. We're not giving up, and neither are you. I get it! Let's just scrap already!" he focused then, eyes turning bluer than normal as a wave of dark purple psychic energy appeared around the Crobat, enveloping her and slamming her to the ground.

The Godslayer cried out in surprise then. "Psychic? From a Raichu?!" she muttered, before gazing at the group. "You might have caught me off guard just now with your commoner tricks, but you won't do so again!"

"Eh, there's still loads of so-called commoner tricks up my sleeve," the electric type smirked. "Though I'm not wearing any sleeves right now..."

The Crobat ignored his words to swoop down at him in Flight. Jumping back to avoid the move, he sent off an Electro Ball at her soaring figure but missed once again when she tilted to the side just so, the crackling ball of electricity crashing into one of the wooden pillars instead, the current redirected into the ground harmlessly.

Before he could send off another attack, Veronica had already turned her attention to the Sharpedo--Taiga, he thought she had said. A large pair of fangs materialized and looked ready to sink right into the water type.

Her attack was dodged, gracefully, as the Crobat descended onto one of the wooden pillars that littered the room.  She decided to try and do the same as she descended after her surfboard assault, only to slip on the top of the pillar and fall back to the ground on her back.  It knocked the wind out of her, but she was familiar to the feeling by now.  She grit her teeth and sat up, annoyed at the display of elegance in such a situation.  The Raichu seemed to lose his cool at Veronica's words, and seemed to be disoriented.  In the blink of an eye, he was hit with an extremely quick attack from the Godslayer.  He looked to the Rotom, unsure of his emotions.  He probably wasn't the one who liked to fight.

"Great."  Taiga scoffed.  She looked over to Veronica, standing high and mighty over them on her pillar.

"I'll offer you the same thing I did for Taiga. If you want to leave, I won't stop you. As you've seen just now, I'm much stronger than I look. And I'm gracious enough to let you go if you don't want to fight."

"I appreciate the gesture, but..." He fired off a Thunderbolt towards her. "I've been through too much to give up now!"

"Couldn't have said it much better myself, kid!"  Taiga grinned.  She looked towards the Raichu, who still seemed to be dumbfounded.  "We're all dead here if you don't decide to grow a spine!  We just have to beat her, got it?!"  Taiga roared towards the boy.  Out of the corner of her eyes, she could see Veronica whip up a strong wind from behind her, launching herself at their resident Rotom.  "I don't think so!"  Would she be fast enough to intercept the godslayer?  There was no way...but she had to try.  However, before she could even get her running start, a ball of electricity swooped across the field, interrupting the Crobat's assault.  "Huh...decided to fight after all, eh?"  Taiga smirked.  The girl stood upon one of her pillars again.  Those things were really starting to piss her off.  Looking at the unoccupied ones, she got a rather swell idea.

Instead of taking off at the Crobat, she brought out her fangs, drenching them in dark energy.  She bolted off towards the nearest pillar, sinking her teeth into them.  It was straining, but she was able to rip the column in half, with a helpful boost of water from under her feet.  She gathered herself again and repeated the process two more times.  This would limit that wannabe-bird's mobility, and in this situation that's really all they could do.  Taiga looked to the fight again, spitting out some splinters.  She could feel killer intent lay eyes on her, as Veronica swooped in with a pair of fangs ready to bite.

"OH YOU THINK YOU CAN BITE ME HUH!?  YOU'RE GONNA REGRET THAT!"  Taiga grimaced, materializing her own pair of dark spectral fangs.  She dashed in, clashing the fangs against one another.  Veronica, boosted by her tailwind, seemed to be pushing back Taiga, who had water gushing out of the back of her heel.  She wasn't strong enough to hold the girl's jaws back on her own, that was for sure.  As a desperate gambit, She stuck her arm through the gap between the clashing rows of teeth to grab a hold of Veronica herself.  "Can't get away now, huh?  Where you gonna go now, huh?!  FUFUFUFUFU!"  Taiga snickered, as she put as tight a hold on the Gijinka as possible.  She looked at the other two, only to bark like mad at them.

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITIN' FOR?!  HIT HER WITH EVERYTHING YA' GOT!"

Brooke skidded to a stop. The Miltank had taken both her own Flame Charge and the Pikachu’s (?) without showing any sign of pain, then nimbly leaped aside, struck the Scizor and rolled off the ramp. That was going to be a problem.  “Dunno about you all but recent fights showed me that these guys are probably a lot stronger than us. Gonna need a plan,” she said. “Anyone got any bright ideas?”

Her flame-cloak reignited as she asked. She was biding her time, trying to make a plan, but she wanted to be ready if the Miltank were to come back around for them. Based on the dome-style arena and what she knew of Miltank gijinka in general, this was going to be a hit-and-run battle and they weren’t going to win it under the circumstances. They needed to change that.

Scarlet watched as Mia tanked both of the Flame Charges with ease, before jetting off of them towards her. Scarlet brought her arms up, bracing herself as the Miltank used Rollout on her, before bouncing off of her and going towards the edge of the arena. Scarlet stumbled back, standing her ground as she watched the Miltank rolling up the edge, getting ready to barrel down back towards her. The weird arena now made sense to her as she watched the wrecking ball that was the Godslayer rolling faster and faster. "Well, for one, we should stop her from rolling around." She said, her wings fluttering as Mia started rolling towards her. Scarlet barely side-stepped the attack, watching Mia fly up from the edge of the arena, before coming back down and towards her yet again. Letting out a heavy breath, she raised both of her and slammed as hard as she could with Bullet Punch.

The strike sent both of them flying back, although Mia was less flying and more rolling about still. Scarlet barely managed to land on her two feet as she slid back, watching as the Miltank rolled back towards the edges of the arena. She let out a growl, wiping her brow. "We have to get her to stop doing that...!" She barked in frustration, watching the Godslayer rolling literal circles around them. She took a moment to do a small Swords Dance, preparing to strike the Miltank once again in a vein hope to get her to stop.

Lok watched as Taiga managed to grab a hold of Veronica... or was Veronica grabbing her? It was hard to tell, but she seemed to want them to attack her. "B-But we'll..." Lok started, before shaking his head. She knew that, obviously. Otherwise she wouldn't go for such a move. With a sigh, he raised his arm. "Sorry about this." He said as lightning started to crackle at his palm. With a swift strike, Lok fired off a Thunderbolt towards the two girls, clenching his teeth as ghastly fires started forming in his other hand, getting ready to fire off a Will-o-Wisp next.

“Dunno about you all but recent fights showed me that these guys are probably a lot stronger than us. Gonna need a plan. Anyone got any bright ideas?”

A plan of attack. Having one of those was probably a good idea, come to think of it. Just copying her teammates could only get Nani so far.

"Well, for one, we should stop her from rolling around. We have to get her to stop doing that...!"

"On it!" Nani fixated her attention on the cow girl rolling about the place. Yeah. That rolling was pretty annoying. Nevermind the battle applications of it; it was just annoying to look at. Nani wasn't sure which one of those was supposed to be the bigger concern here, but one way or another, she was in agreement with the red one. That had to stop. And how better to do that, then...

"Zap!" Nani slung her arms forward, emitting a pulse of electricity from the pair of them, aimed directly at the Miltank she had to face off with. It wouldn't stop her entirely... probably. But at the very least, that could definitely slow her down! "The last thing I want is some dizzy cow puking her guts up on me," Nani shuddered. She was already hideous enough under the hood as it was.

"Heel is it? How ironic. Well I guess that's fine. For tonight I can play the part of a fallen hero just fine. Two of you look more the part of villain anyway."

Randy growled, feeling his chest being slashed by the Dragon Claw Ryu delivered, along with the hit with his wing and the immediate Fire Blast. That was two he'd already taken from this dragon...he wasn't enjoying the whole fighting fire with fire on this. Needless to say, Ryu was proving to be quite an opponent...nothing like Allie who was straight up brute force...or even that Lucario. The Salamance's movements and attacks seemed more...like he was putting on a show, whilst also being aggressive. ...it wasn't unlike his whole routine and manner of fighting back on Alola with the PPGWF...

Meanwhile, Kazo, now being targeted by the Godslayer, started to grit his teeth, charging at Ryu, hardening his head and smashing it against Ryu's claw.

Randy got back up after the throw and Fire Blast, growling as his teeth began to grit. He glanced over at Denku, whistling at him. "Oi...Pupitar!"

Denku grunted, tossing aside some rubble that had landed on him. "It's Denku. Yeah, what?"

"May need to coordinate some attack together..." Randy said, watching Ryu batting away Kazo without so much of a second thought. "...you got that Dark Pulse..." he paused, smirking as he clenched his right fist. "I got a Dark move as well...how about you and I unleash some hell with that?"

Denku rolled his shoulder. "Yeah, I think we can pull something off."

"Awesome..." Randy smirked, exhaling before rolling his own shoulders. "...gimme one sec...gotta do my thing. After that, follow my lead." He held up his right arm as it started pulsating with a dark energy.

BGM

"This fist of mine...overflows with a powerful darkness!!!"

Denku grinned and clenched his fist, gathering energy for a dark pulse. "Its loud roar tells us to grasp victory!"

Randy looked over at Denku, who basically was gung-ho by the sounds of it. The Ininceroar was smirking from ear to ear at this point. "Heh..." he said, already rushing towards a pretty distracted Ryu, seeing Denku keeping up with him. "HERE WE GO!!! DARKEST...LARIAT!!!" At once, his fist made contact with the Salamance.

"Dark... PULSE!" Denku called out, slipping underneath the Salamance and launching his fist upwards into his gut.

"Hehe...now that's an impressive move combo! ...shame we didn't have too much of a fancy name for it..." Randy chuckled moving back some.

Ryu, on the other hand, was growing at this sudden move, holding gut with daggers glaring at Denku. The Salamance stood up right after a moment, doing a bit of a movement, as a strong aura began to surround him...it was sinister and draconic, but it wasn't too much there. Randy knew what it was though...Dragon Dance. It was obvious he was saving up for things down the pipe.

Group 1: Easter and Nine

"I think you're the one who needs to worry about being put down,"

Ankou let out an eerily manic giggle as Easter spoke. "No, no I don't think so. No one has been able to. No matter how many things I do. No matter what they try. In the end I always survive and have to keep fighting." She let out a breathy sigh. "Sometimes it's such a curse being so strong."

The Swift had hit Ankou but her natural defenses against special attacks seemed high enough that she could continue to act as normal in spite of it. She vanished again and, when she normally would appear nearby, she wasn't in sight. Then, hearing crackling, they would see her again over on top of the hill. "You're such a troublesome pair. Let's cut this short, shall we? And I can get back to my rest."

She started to move her hand in a triangle shape and Nine would notice that a prism of light had formed around him. Moments later small, flower-shaped, bolts of energy started to fire from the walls of the prism.

Spoiler

Reminder: Ankou, Gardevoir, Synchronize, level 80. Moves: Teleport, Psyshock, Draining Kiss, Thunderbolt, Taunt.

The attack is her special move, in which she creates a prism around a target and launches energy beams at them from inside of it.

Group 2: Denku, Kazo, and Randy

"Guess it's really time to go all out then." Ryu craned his neck over towards Kazo. "I'll tear apart your protectors here and then deal with you. Watch as I kill your elders right in front of you."

He growled and took off at a more impressive speed than before. Extending his wings he rushed past Randy, clipping him barely but with plenty of force to knock him off balance, before reaching out and dragging his claws along one of the pillars. Using the momentum of the spin he launched himself next at Denku. Firing off a Fire Blast first and then rushing along with it to bring his claw down on the Pupitar's head. While the other hand moved to strike Denku in the gut with a plain old fist.

Spoiler

Reminder: Ryu, Salamence, Intimidate, level 80. Moves, Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Wing Attack, Draco Meteor, Fire Blast.

Sorry for shortness, Ryu's fast moves make it extra hard to do too much without input.

Group 3: Brooke, Nani, and Scarlet

Mia continued her rolling as the group quickly talked among themselves. Despite the speed she was moving, and the motion itself, she was able to tell what the others were doing. Which was why, as Nani released her Thunder Wave Mia suddenly turned course and went right through the rings of energy. Despite the paralysis she used the momentum she had built up to continue towards Nani swiftly. Right before she would have hit the girl she jumped upwards and, spinning in the air, went down towards Brooke.

Mid-fall she uncurled herself and went down in a Body Slam to crash into Brooke and then bounce off and back to her feet.

She giggled and shivered as the electricity sparked around her body. "That's not very nice. Let's do something about that shall we?" And they could all hear a bell chiming and see the faint outline of one above the girl's head. Moments later the electricity faded away and she stretched. "Muuuch better...now, shall we continue?" she asked with a smile.

Spoiler

Reminder: Mia, Miltank, Scrappy, level 80. Moves: Rollout, Body Slam, Zen Headbutt, Fire Punch, Heal Bell.

Group 4: Taiga, Keanu, and Lok

Veronica let out a shout at the unexpected direct hit from Lok's Thunderbolt. She winced and frowned as if grudgingly admitting that they had got her good with that one. But she was clearly not going to just let herself be pinned down for long. Pushing with all her strength she wiggled as much out of the girl's grip as she could in a scant few moments and, with a strong boost, took off into the air with Taiga holding on. Then, when above the tops of the poles, she started making her way back downwards. This time aiming for Keanu as he was preparing to attack as well.

As she moved downwards she started to twist her body and her and Taiga both began to spiral downwards. Heading for a collision course with the Raichu.

Spoiler

NOTE: I don't...actually know if Veronica has "wings" exactly, once Sethera lets me know if they aren't actually wings I'll edit but either way the action is the same. (edited, no actual wings)

Reminder: Veronica, Crobat, Infiltrator, level 75. Moves: Leech Life, Cross Poison, Tailwind, Taunt, Fly.

Group 5: Mac, Ari, Marie, Dora

Dora still didn't understand what was happening. Not really. This man gave her all sorts of uncomfortable feelings. She thought one of them might have been...fear? She didn't like it very much. She tried to push it away but it kept creeping up.

Which is how she came to the conclusion that the only thing to do was ignore it. So with a shout, a rather non-intimidating battle cry, she ran for the Lucario and swung her newly strengthened arm down towards the small of the Lucario's back.

Without missing a beat the man kicked backwards at Dora. She let out a gasp and, in the last second, an aura moved over her body. His kick, despite the angle, knocked her backwards and tumbling across the ground. Shakily standing up Dora released out energy in a wave towards the Lucario.

For the first time there looked to be an expression on his face as he grit his teeth in disgust at the technique. He turned to face it and, palm glowing with energy, met it as it came. Thrusting his hand through the energy and causing it to explode outward.

Mac had noticed Ari preparing the attack and hastily backed from the Lucario while she did the same. Her hair stood on end as the electricity crackled through her. An attack similar to Ari's, an orb with bolts of lighting in a star shape coming from it, but made of electricity appeared in front of her. Her muscles screamed in protest as the powerful charge went through her body and she started to tremble.

But she didn't give up and, the moment she saw Ari about to send it out, she did too. The two attacks raced close to the floor and, as they made it part way, they merged together. Instead of an orb it now resembled something like a large, reptilian, head. A swirling mixture of flames and electricity. It launched across and through the Lucario like a beam of light through a window.

The Godslayer paused as the energy passed through him and stumbled. Once the beam ended he touched his body where it had passed through and they could see that his clothes were burned and his skin singed.

And yet he was still standing.

Mac winced as her muscles tried to get back to normal and then stared, wide-eyed, as the Lucario stepped towards them. He had been damaged, surely, yet he didn't seem much worse for wear.

"I see. I was ignoring you as not worth my energy. How foolish of me."

Mac stepped back as he began to run towards her. She was certain the attack would have done more and yet he was still coming! She panicked and, for the moment, didn't know what to do.

But Jabari was there first. He rushed out in front of the girl and, when the Lucario thrust his palm out, he braced himself and took the hit. Grabbing onto the Lucario's arm Jabari wreathed himself in flames and charged forward. Slamming the Lucario into the wall.

He brought his fist back to punch the Lucario in the face but the man, moving in a blur, broke out of his group and ended up beside him.

The Lucario slammed his leg into the small of Jabari's back and the Zebstrika hit his head against the wall.

Wildly swinging around Jabari let out a shockwave which the Lucario jumped over and blew away with his Flash Cannon.

Jabari, letting out a growl, jumped up and grabbed onto the Lucario's leg. Attempting to slam him down onto the ground.

The Lucario slammed his palm onto the floor and let out a burst of energy. At the same time he kicked out with his other leg and hit Jabari's chin with a mighty blow.

Head snapping back Jabari stumbled backwards. Growling again his arms crackled with electricity as he started making wild, powerful, swings at the Lucario. Despite the speed at which Jabari was moving the Lucario managed to dodge. Moving slightly so that the attacks just barely missed and then following it up with a Force Palm to Jabari's chest which sent the Zebstrika back again.

Wincing as he landed Jabari fell down to a knee for a moment before forcing himself up and surrounding himself in flames again.

Spoiler

Reminder: Lucario, Inner Focus, level 95. Moves: Aura Sphere, Force Palm, Flash Cannon, Extreme Speed, Detect.

Jabari, Zebstrika, Motor Drive, level 75. Moves: Flame Charge, Shock Wave, Ion Deluge, Thrash, Endure.

Yes I went a bit ham hope it was easy to keep up with. And it was difficult to show that the attack had damaged him but not nearly as much as they'd have hoped.

Marie winced as the pain started to radiate through her side. All the same, she couldn't just buckle down and give up yet. Taking a deep breath, the girl worked her spirit up as she started to pick herself back up from the ground. Though Jabari was standing up and getting ready to strike again the Godslayer had been already proven that children were to be underestimated. And so, as he noticed Marie's aura flare up, he stuck his hand out. Charging it with aura, the Godslayer fired a sphere out towards Marie. Though he had been slowed some and Jabari had sped up, he managed to slam his flaming fist into the sphere.

Jabari's arms stayed ignited as he awaited the Lucario's next attack. The Lucario took a look between the two of them, before bending down and getting ready to charge. In a blur of speed the Godslayer charged forward. However, midway through his charge he stopped and veered off diagonally, speeding past Jabari. Now with a clear shot at Marie and having caught Jabari flat footed, a gray orb of energy formed in his hand that then launched forward into a beam. Struck in the side by the Flash Cannon, Marie let out a pained cry as she was knocked to the side. Gritting her teeth and breathing heavily as the girl tried to get back up, she slowly pushed herself back up.

Not one to relent, the Lucario continued to move forward towards her, only to hop backwards as Jabari charged and punched at him. The flames didn't reach the Godslayer and in response the Lucario moved forward and brought down his arm on Jabari's in a chopping motion. Knocking the Zebstrika's arm down, the Lucario brought his arm back up, smashing it into the man's face forcing Jabari to stumble back. Now with a clear shot, the Lucario moved in closer, letting out a series of rapid punches into the man's gut. Bringing his arm back, the Lucario then went for an aura charged palm thrust. However, having braced himself against the attacks, the moment the Godslayer had let up, he was already moving forward to punch him. Smashing his fist in the godslayer's face, the Lucario's attack was interrupted as his body started to twist in the direction of the attack. Planting his foot after he had turned, without missing a beat, the Lucario shifted his weight forward and struck his elbow into Jabari's stomach. As Jabari brought another flaming arm down to counterattack, the Lucario resumed twisting, spinning and back stepped away from the attack.

Picking herself up, Marie looked at the two Godslayers exchanging blows, in awe at their strength. The more she watched the two of them fight, the weaker she knew she was in the face of their power. But, she had always been weak. Looking back on all of her fights, she hadn't ever been able to do anything by herself. There was always someone far stronger then her fighting on the front, where she could only help by sending weak attack after weak attack at their foe. And here was no different. She couldn't hurt the Lucario and by herself the fight would have been over before it began. But the former Godslayer was there, and he was fighting to help them. He was the one taking the most of the attacks. And so, Marie couldn't just stand by and do nothing. It was scary, sure, but so was every bully. And Marie wasn't going to just watch and be a helpless bystander. Looking to the side, the girl noticed that the electric type next to her was scared stiff. Though Marie could understand, she looked a bit cross as she remembered that girl being the one from the boat that had told them to go in the first place. All the same, the girl merely looked at her and flatly asked, "are you scared of him?"

"H-hey what do you mean? I'm never afraid! He's just...surprising...is all."

Marie's expression became cross at the young electric type and she wagged her finger saying, "well you should be! He's really strong and fast and stuff. So anybody would be." Pointing to Jabari she said, "even he's probably scared."

"What're you scolding me for?" Mac glowered at her.

"I'm scolding you because you're just standing here gawking! Listen, he's surprising alright but it's alright to be surprised. You said it yourself, we're not as big as them and we're probably not as strong. There's no way we could beat him on our own." Nodding the girl then said, "but, we've also all done a lot to get here. So, we know we can fight against guys bigger and stronger than us, and help the people who can fight them win, right? Even if it seems impossible, even if we can only do so little, we have to keep trying. Right?"

"H-hey what are you doing talking like that! I'm the one who does that?" Mac pouted. Then, rubbing the tip of her nose, she turned away. "Well then gotta get to it." She muttered.

Smiling, Marie nodded saying, "good." Then with a determined look on her face, the girl went to look towards the Godslayers.

Jabari charged his arms with electricity, beginning to let loose a flurry of punches towards the Lucario once again. Stepping back to avoid a few of the attacks, the Lucario switched gears almost instantly as he shot forward in an arc. Speeding past and around Jabari, the godslayer ended up behind the Zebstrika, kicking him in back of the knee, and forcing him to stumble. Turning to face Mac and Marie as they began to attack, the Lucario seemed to focus his senses on avoiding their attacks. As he did, though, he picked up on something behind him. Though Jabari had been interrupted he hadn't been stopped and though he was falling, still managed to turn and swing his electrified fist towards the Lucario. Swiftly jumping away from the attack, the Lucario noticed a blast of electricity and stream of bubbles coming from the younger gijinka.

Beginning to step away, the Lucario then took note of Mac's attack and the foe behind him. Planting his feet in the ground, the man charged both of his palms with aura. Thrusting them forward, the man managed to smash his aura into both of their attacks, completely destroying them. However, his split second of indecision had lead to his over extension on his attack left him unable to avoid the wave of mud that came shortly after. Dora, who had been lying on the ground, had let loose a mud shot that managed to strike directly against the Lucario. The mud mixed with the ice, both of them hardening and weighing down the Lucario's movements once again and the mud itself had certainly stung the man more then Marie's ice had.

Nine's smile continued on his face in spite of the woman's insults, though he couldn't help but furrow his brow at what she said to Easter. He wasn't quite sure what it was the woman had gone through, and he wasn't even really sure what it was she was after. Her words had made it sound like she was looking to die, or at least be defeated, but at the same time she seemed intent to continue fighting. He wasn't sure for what purpose or cause she would wish for that on herself, or if she did why she was so powerful. But all the same, were that the case then that made things even simpler for him. After all, he and Easter just had to win. After Easter had exchanged blows with her, the Gardevoir had vanished yet again. Looking around, trying to figure out where she would reappear, his eyes eventually darted to above and saw the woman gracefully floating above.

As the woman made her comment towards them, drawing the symbol of the triangle, Nine noticed a glowing light underneath him. As soon as he did, however, a large prism of light erected around him. Looking warily at it, the Houndoom shouted, "Easter! Keep on her! I've got this no sweat." In spite of her words she clearly had no intention of losing, yet if she was bringing out a move like this Nine could only imagine that they were actually proving to be a threat to her. And with how mobile she was and how powerful from a distance she could be, he didn't want to just let up on the pressure. Sending a blast of flame into the wall, Nine clicked his tongue as the attack didn't seem to have any effect.

Before the boy could think anymore on his situation, though, he saw flowers starting to grow on the edge of the barrier. Going wide-eyed at the sight, Nine stepped back as one of them launched out towards him. Though he managed to avoid it, that was about all he could manage as one such flower shot out from behind him. Wincing in pain as he stumbled forward, Nine braced himself as the lasers beginning to flow one after the other. Grimacing as he continued to take the punishment from the attack. Nine figured that he couldn't just sit still and let himself be pelted like this. He wasn't nearly sturdy enough to outlast an attack he also had no idea how long it would last for. So instead, he needed to find a way out.

Letting loose a pulse of darkness into the wall, he managed to stop a few of the attacks from reaching him as well as strike the wall. Of course, the barrier was still sturdy enough to take the attack and Nine was sure that if he just kept mindlessly hammering away at the walls it would never work for him. He as well couldn't just keep taking the lasers either. If he was going to attack, he would need to find the weakest point and strike there. And as this was a triangle, there was only one place that could possibly be.

Ducking down to avoid some of the attacks, Nine ignited his arm as he let loose a torrent of flame upwards. The flames managed to engulf the flowers, but  they soon changed their course and continued to belt Nine. All the same, his flames were now striking at the tip of the of the triangle continuing to press against it. Grunting in both exertion and pain as he struggled to keep his arm up and flaming the boy knew realized that that alone was not going to be enough. Continuing to pump out flame after flame, the Houndoom then charged his other arm with darkness. Bringing it up Nine fired a pulse of darkness upward, mixing with his flames as it provided an extra deal of force to break through the tip of the prism. As the top shattered, the lasers ceased and the walls slowly started to disintegrate and float away. Breath ragged and body in pain all over, Nine brought both of his arms down as he tried to catch his breath. A smirk on his face as he looked over to Ankou, Nine said, "sorry. I'm not ready for nap time just yet."

It was his first time doing this attack, but it was powerful, and somehow, both he and Mac succeeded, making it even more powerful than it'd be as two separate attacks. He thought for sure, that, with this attack that had been taught by a legendary, they would manage.

Except it barely fazed the Godslayer. "Wh-What is this guy made out of? Steel?" Ari gasped.

Even Mac seemed shocked at how well the other had taken the attack, eyes wide.

The Godslayer stepped toward them then, causing both of the children to take a step back. "I see. I was ignoring you as not worth my energy. How foolish of me."

Except before they could get utterly annihilated or whatever the other was planning to do to them, Jabari was there, taking the hit for Mac and slamming the other Godslayer into the wall with a Flaming Charge.

But Jabari was there first. He rushed out in front of the girl and, when the Lucario thrust his palm out, he braced himself and took the hit. Grabbing onto the Lucario's arm Jabari wreathed himself in flames and charged forward. Slamming the Lucario into the wall.

Ari couldn't help but feel a bit discouraged as he watched the fight. All of these gijinka that were so much more powerful than him. But it wasn't like he didn't already know that. He had been through fights like this before, and he, Mac, and Kazo had made it through in the end. Today would be no different.

It seemed that the darker blue-haired girl thought the same way, as she began trying to talk Mac back into fighting. Mac, of all gijinka. Snickering loudly, he said, "To think I'd see the day Mac needed a pep talk to get back in the game! You're pretty neat," he grinned, but the water type had already rushed forward to attack. As she, Mac, and the other water type sent out a combo of attacks, Ari ran forward himself.

This is hard...but it's easier because I know I'm not alone. The thought gave him strength, and as he continued his charge, added to it was the power of all of the gijinka he had met so far. Except, almost as if sensing that power, the Godslayer turned to avoid it, slamming a fist into his back at almost the same time. Even though his back was busy screaming in pain--not literally--Ari twisted up and sank flaming teeth into the other's arm.

The Godslayer seemed to barely notice the attack, shaking Ari off with one hard toss that sent the Litleo into the far wall.

As he struggled to rise, Ari shook his head. I can't give up. "I won't give up!" he said out loud. "Because I'm a lion!" And with that, he let loose a loud and Noble Roar. While previous roars of his had been rather puny, this one shook the air.

Ankou let out a manic giggle that sounded startlingly like the ones Easter himself used. Part of it to creep out his opponents, but most of it because, well, sometimes it was just so funny to watch his opponents struggle in vain against him. "No, no I don't think so. No one has been able to. No matter how many things I do. No matter what they try. In the end I always survive and have to keep fighting." She let out a breathy sigh. "Sometimes it's such a curse being so strong."

"I know what you mean," Easter replied. "I suppose we have that in common then. That, and," he rushed forward, but she had disappeared by then, "our arrogance," he finished with a rueful smile.

When she reappeared, she quickly trapped Nine in a prism, something which Easter had never seen before. Most likely, it's a special move, he thought. It looks to be a trap or binding type. I see she likes to tie up her opponents too.

Thankfully, Nine hadn't panicked. "Easter! Keep on her! I've got this no sweat."

The fairy type paused to mull over his options. On the one hand, he could ignore Nine and try to get him out. On the other, he could try to keep attacking Ankou and keep the heat off of the other. Or, he thought, I could go for neither of the above. After all, Ankou had never used Taunt on him.

Closing his eyes, he concentrated. If either Ankou or Nine turned to look toward the fairy type, they would see a starscape behind him, as well as a single beam of light shooting through the air toward the ground. A falling star. However, the psychic type, distracted as she was, never noticed. And that was what he had been counting on. As the air around him turned back to normal, he rushed forward. Now to turn her attention to me. Not that she probably wouldn't be able to figure it out eventually, but it didn't hurt to make it more difficult for her.

By then, Nine had escaped from the prison with his own power, "sorry. I'm not ready for nap time just yet."

"Neither am I, but I think it's time for you to go to sleep," Easter said, eyes staring straight at Ankou. He didn't let himself think about Nine or what was happening to him besides a brief moment of thought as he decided on his move, charging up a Psyshock and sending it right for the Gardevoir. As she turned to the side, the attack continued forward, splashing harmlessly against the Houndoom--which was why he chose the move he did. Not letting the other recover any momentum, he continued his run, skidding to a halt and pivoting as soon as she disappeared.

At that moment, Nine would be surrounded by a bright yellow glow, the wounds on his body beginning to close. Before he could say anything, Easter shook his head at him. While Ankou probably wouldn't be able to read his mind, him being a dark type and all, she could hear if he made any noises of surprise. Thankfully, by the time the Gardevoir reappeared, the yellow light had faded away.

Carefully not letting his mind linger on the Houndoom's recovery, Easter sent out a Moonblast at Ankou, watching with grim satisfaction as she disappeared once more. He would keep up the pressure on her, distracting her from his support moves, and in this way, the two of them might just outlast her. Or take her down before that even became an issue.

"Huh...decided to fight after all, eh?"

"I've been scrapping, sistah!" Keanu shouted back, a little annoyed despite himself. Unfortunately, it looked like that brief shout caused him to miss another opportunity to attack as Taiga held Veronica in place. The Rotom, however, was quicker on the draw and fired off a Thunderbolt. However, it looked like the Crobat had recovered enough to soar higher into the air and then spiral downward, the Sharpedo hanging on. Watching the aerial display, Keanu's brief awe turned into fear when he realized that they were headed...straight for him!

"Oh, no!" he stumbled back, turning tail and fleeing, but it was too late. A force slammed into his back, and he felt as if not only the wind had been knocked out of him, but also all of his organs too. Thankfully, he didn't actually cough up a spleen or anything, but he did cough up something that looked suspiciously like blood.

"Yes, that is where you belong...crawling down on the ground," Veronica boasted.

This can't go on, Keanu thought. He hadn't seen whether Taiga had managed to make it out by the time he had been hit, but regardless, the attack had hurt like hell. I'm really limited by her Taunt...that plus her speed...makes me almost useless here. I'm not a pure scrapper like Randy. He'd do a lot better here, for sure.

He had to step it up somehow. He didn't know how he'd do that, but he would.

Psychic sounded like a good place to start. Concentrating, his eyes glowed brighter blue again, except this time Veronica was ready for it, flying to the side before power could gather around her.

Not letting that stop him, Keanu ran toward the Crobat, a wave gathering beneath his feet as he crashed into her, jumping off of her to land on one of the poles himself. His years of surfing gave him the confidence to stand easily on top of it, though it would've been more natural if it were moving like a surfboard. He was about to jump down on top of the poison type as she had him, but the gijinka had recovered by then, flying up into the air so she was level with his face.

"Humph, it looks like you think you can go further than your station. But no matter how high you climb, you will always be...just a commoner!" Veronica shouted, diving toward him with those same fangs that had appeared before.

"Aiyah!" Keanu shouted, jumping off to avoid the attack--and somehow managing--landing back on the pole when the Crobat passed by. Breathing a sigh of relief, he sent out an Electro Ball at her, hoping that the attack would do some damage. Unfortunately, the Godslayer was much more agile in the air than on the ground, and it missed yet again. "Argh, hold still, will ya?"

"You're a fool if you think I'll actually listen," Veronica replied, but this time, she turned her attention toward the other two, sending out almost simultaneous cross-shaped attacks toward them.

Team ThunderWaves

Flying through the air was enough to make Taiga gag, but she needed to focus.  Right now she was on a crash course with the Raichu, the two of them descending in a spiral motion.  Taiga closed her eyes, and took a bite out of the girl's arm, as she was tossed to the side.  She made a hard tumble, but it was better than being in the air.  She gathered herself, standing in the midst of all the poles, dusting herself off as she watched the Raichu try his best to do something against their opponent.  Veronica was fast, but Taiga could feel her speed start to soar as well.  It was a feeling that she hadn't been used to in a while, but it was all the more sweet to feel her blood pumping faster and faster.

Her heart was beating faster as well too.  This was surely a fun fight.  But what was she supposed to do against the bat?  She wasn't even remotely fast enough, and she wouldn't be able to drag out this fight long enough to get to a comparable speed.

"Aw whatever!"  Taiga groaned, as she started to run around the poles in a blinding display of speed.  Once she thought her momentum was enough, she leapt towards one of Veronica's poles, leaping onto the rounded side with the bottom of her feet.  There, she sprang out into the air between the poles, catching the side of another.  She repeated the process ad nauseam until she was merely a blur.  The attack that Veronica had thrown out at her whizzed by her face, but it was easily dodged with how quickly Taiga was moving now.  With crazy acceleration on her side, she jumped out again.  She locked her hands together, and brought down her clamped fists on Veronica's skull with a sledgehammer-like motion.  Veronica's head had moved to the side, but Taiga's fists had crashed down on her collarbone.  She shot down towards the ground like a rocket.  As Taiga descended, a huge jet of water erupted from her feet, crushing the already earthbound Veronica into the ground.  Taiga didn't let up, as the water came roaring from below her.  The torrent might have been enough to keep the bitch preoccupied for a moment, as Taiga took a knee on top of her waterfall.

That Thunderbolt from earlier still seemed to be running through her, as she laughed.

"Fufufufu...weaker than Isole's that's for sure..."

"Muuuch better...now, shall we continue?"

"I would prefer if you didn't." A ring of the bell, and suddenly this lady was all better. Although... she did have to stop to do that. With that in mind, Nani wasn't going to let herself be stopped by something as basic as one single setback. Eventually, one of them would have to stop, be it Nani's thunder waves, or Mia's bells. Which is why Nani did the exact same move again. One of them would have to stop, and it wasn't very easily going to be her. The pulse of electricity fired off...

...and was replied to by that bell again.

"We'll be here for a while if you keep doing that," Nani commented. "Just us standing here, firing off the same moves over and over again. I'd say 'I hope you like these zaps because I can get pretty stubborn', but you kinda creep me out so I think I'd like it more if you didn't like them."

Lok
Team ThunderWaves

As his attack struck, Veronica managed to break free from Taiga's grasp. Luckily, or unluckily, Lok wasn't very strong, as he didn't seem to have hurt either of the two that badly with his attack. Grimacing, he knew he had to try something else. However, as he tried to fire off a Will-o-Wisp towards the Godslayer, he was not able to land anything as she seemed to not only dodge it, but managed to dodge the slow moving flames without even really trying. "She's fast..." Lok said, clenching his fists. Luckily, it seemed like he was being ignored as her hands were full with Keanu. Taking the moment out of the limelight, Lok took a deep breath, using Double Team to create two other copies of himself, all three of them floating towards the slayer.

Her attack instantly demolished one of the clones with a burst of smoke, but he didn't stop his pursuit. Meanwhile, Taiga was nothing more than a blur in the corner of his eyes. She was probably going in for an attack, and Lok figured this would be his time to sneak in a move of his own. As he expected, he saw Taiga bring down the airborne foe with a powerful strike, pinning down the girl with the column of water. This was his chance, he thought, as him and his clone ran up to Veronica and fired off a Will-o-Wisp at the trapped opponent, hopefully with her being stuck like this he could land the attack.

Scarlet
Team SuperPower

Scarlet grimaced as the Godslayer rang her bell, the paralysis that had been inflicted on her earlier gone. At least she wasn't spinning anymore, at least for now, as she watched Nani go for another Thunder Wave. And, almost as soon as she was paralyzed, the bells tolled once more. And then it happened again. And again. This was going nowhere, but Mia wasn't paying direct attention to her. Taking her chance, Scarlet dashed in to strike.

As the bells tolled one more time, Mia turned to see Scarlet aiming a Bullet Punch right at her. Not having much time to react, the Godslayer brought up her arms to block the attack, causing her to stumble back a bit. However, despite being blindsided, she was quick to react, her hand burning up as she delivered a Fire Punch aimed right at Scarlet. The Scizor brought up her arm, wincing as she felt the flickering of the flames. As she pushed back the fiery fist, the Miltank slammed down her head right on top of Scarlet's head with a Zen Headbutt, causing Scarlet to flinch for a moment, sending her stumbling back.

As Mia was about to dunk on Scarlet with a Fire Punch, though, she would suddenly feel a surge electricity from Nani's Thunder Wave, momentarily stopping her from attacking. Recovering from her flinch, Scarlet growled towards MIa. "I'm not done yet...!" She said, her pincers opening up as she delivered a Bug Bite right into Mia's shoulder. The Godslayer let out a shout, swinging a Fire Punch with her free arm towards Scarlet. Once again, she brought up her arm to soften the blow, gritting her teeth as she clamped down harder with her other hand.

So much for a plan. The conflict rapidly dissolved into a no holds-barred grudge match; the Pikachu thing rapidly blasted out a paralyzing electric blast that the Miltank healed just as quickly, and then Scarlet the Scizor took advantage of the opening to attack her and start a back and forth of blows between them.

Brooke rolled her shoulders. Adrenaline was pumping white hot through her veins: Flame Charge still had her speed boosted to superhuman levels. She still probably had a few minutes until that faded, and while Scarlet was keeping Miltank busy, there would be no better opening presented.

A red aura seeped out of the Emboar Gijinka’s skin and shrouded her in a glowing veil. “You better not be done! The fight hasn’t even started!” She growled, then pushed herself off the balls of her feet with such strength that the ground beneath her exploded in a burst of splintered stone, flying towards the Miltank with her hand drawn back for a superpowered, speed-boosted punch to the stomach.
