Giratina's Lair Team Karaoke

As Lok hung his head, he heard a voice ring in his mind. Despite having never heard this voice before, he knew exactly who had spoke to him. Lok turned back around towards Giratina, nodding his head. "Understood." He said with a dire tone, turning around to see Giratina's assault on his friends. Purple orbs started circling Lok's hand as he walked away from the shadowy wall to join up with the rest of them.

He fired off the purple orbs, attacking with a Hex as he stared dead into Giratina's eyes. "Th-This ends here, Giratina!" He shouted, his voice shakier than he would have liked. He felt a chill down run his spine as he awaited the Legend's next move.

Temple of Time and Space Team Showdown

Scarlet was excited to hear that the swords were joining in the fight against the Godslayers, but frowned when she heard that she wasn't going to be fighting alongside them. They were going down a darker path, it would seem. She then was given the option to rewrite herself. "Rewrite myself?" She said quizzically, placing her pincer on her chin. She wasn't sure what that meant exactly, but it seemed like they were getting some sort of blessing. No, it wasn't exactly that. It seemed like more of a revamp. She thought about the others in her village, remembering the techniques that she had seen, learned, and forgotten how to do. The moves she had learned all this time had been for her travels, but now things were different. For the first time in her life, she was a part of a team, and she needed moves to reflect that.

"Dialga and Palkia, I ask that you let me learn the moves Tailwind and Superpower." She said, the legends nodding. Before she knew it, she felt a warmth in her chest. She could feel a newfound strength boiling under her armor, and her wings had changed too. She smiled, turning back to the legends. "Thank you." She nodded, ready to head out.

And then Taiga mentioned something of a power-up. "Something like that would be helpful." She said. "We've fought against a Godslayer before, and even other legends trying to recruit them. It pains me to say this, but even with this tune up we might not be strong enough to take them on a group of them."

Team Showdown, Temple of Time and Space

The two Legends looked at each other. "There is a way."

"A power. Hidden inside many Gijinka. Few have been able to unlock it. Most through rigorous training. An evolution unlike any other. The people once called this Mega Evolution."

"It can only be activated for short periods of time. But it will give you more power."

"We can grant you this ability. But you must use it wisely."

The two Legends didn't move. Didn't so much as blink. But an eerie glow surrounded the two Gijinka. They didn't feel any change, physically, but their minds raced with new information. Somehow they just knew that when they next needed it the power would be theirs to command.

"Now go, brave warriors of Adarid, there is not much time left until the end. We are sure you wish to prepare."

And then the three would find themselves outside the temple. The entrance that they had come from closed again. And the elder was standing there, just the same as before, having not moved an inch from when they had left him.

"Welcome back. I see you've completed your task. The first to meet with the first dragons in a long time. I would hear of your journey. It is certain to be an incredible tale! But not here. Tonight, we feast."

Spoiler

Aaand that's it. If you guys want to post once more to wrap up that's fine. But next post for you all will be during the endgame.

Team Karaoke, Giratina's Lair

Giratina's body twitched and jerked as she slowly turned and started towards Nine. Her hands clenched and unclenched as they shakily walked in his direction.

They were stopped in their tracks as Shaymin attacked with a rather powerful attack. The ground underneath the floor was revealed. They could see a dark, twisting, void under Giratina's feet. It wasn't black, more an extremely dark blue, and it seemed something was causing it to swirl and bubble.

Giratina let out a hiss and twisted their spine, looking at Shaymin then, as Lok's attack also struck, him. Not moving their feet. Simply twisting their body in an unnatural way so that they could look at the young Ghost boy. Her gaze burned into his and she vanished again. Except for the eyes. Lok could still see Giratina's eyes staring at him. Until they vanished, a screaming noise was heard, and Giratina appeared in front of him. Bringing down one of her hands with ghostly power.

Her other arm snapped backwards. Out of it came a bolt of pure Aura. Brownish black with red veins running through it.

The bolt raced towards Nine. Who suddenly found himself grabbed and pulled away. Kayla held onto the Houndoom's arm as she ran to the side. The bolt continued to chase him down despite the movement. Kayla glanced at it, then Nine, and muttered an apology as she darted away and back towards Giratina, firing off several shurikens of water that glanced off the Legends back.

Shaymin shook in place as she stared at the cracked ground underneath Giratina, more specifically what was revealed after it cracked. She shook further when the other legendary turned to match gazes with her, letting out a sigh of relief as the ghost turned her insidious gaze away to stare at Lok. She let out a gasp at seeing the others get attacked, but found it hard to force her legs to move, as they trembled like aspens before a gale. So strong...

So instead of moving, the legendary clasped her hands together and bowed her head. After a few seconds had passed, she lifted her head, opening her hands to reveal a small seed within. Taking the seed, she threw it at Giratina. As it spiraled through the air, the seed began to glow a brilliant emerald green. Landing on the other legendary, it cracked open, small vines bursting from within that grew larger and longer, wrapping around the ghost. While it didn't look like they impeded the gijinka's movement any, every so often they would glow that same emerald hue, which would then condense into spheres of green light trailing back to Shaymin. And each time, the grass type looked a little more vivacious, the bruises covering her body starting to fade.

Getting up slowly, Nine grimaced as the sight of the hideous aura that was forming into a bolt. Getting ready to brace himself, the boy suddenly felt himself swept off his feet as his arm was pulled behind him. Looking to see that it was Kayla, and not some freaky appendage from the beast of a legend, Nine was relieved as she did her best to draw him away from the attack. It was, unfortunately, all for naught as the bolt did not let up in following them. As Kayla let go of him, apologizing he simply said, "I got this." He most certainly did not have this.

With the fight against Raphael having not been that long ago, he couldn't really use his usual defensive aura to guard against the attack. And he wasn't entirely sure trying to intercept an unerring attack that was as strong as this would do much of anything. So, instead, he sharpened his own aura up to get ready to strike at Giratina, putting his arms up to brace against the attack. With the aura slamming into him, Nine's face clearly showed the extreme pain he was suddenly struck with, being forced off his feet again and tumbling backwards across the ground. Still up and ready to continue fighting, Nine slowly brought himself up, though his arms was were clearly quivering still from the attack he had just taken. Still, he didn't have much time to dally, as Shaymin had made her move against the legend.

As she did, Girtaina's head began to turn towards Shaymin, though, Nine knew that she wouldn't match up to the bizarre legend in a head on confrontation. Neither would he, for that matter, but he couldn't simply stand by and wait. So, sending out an empowered dark pulse Nine struck the legend saying, "hey!" Nine paused for in the face of this foe that was without much in way of reason and far exceeding his strength, he simply didn't know what to say nor how to taunt them. He in fact had felt like he had made a poor decision as his attack still managed to catch the attention of the legend. As its head turned to face Shaymin, it simply kept turning without stopping, rotating at least one hundred eighty degrees before looking at Nine. Letting out a low growl and hiss, the creature then blasted yet another stream of draconic flame at him.

Using his dark pulse to attempt to block the attack, moving out of the way of the attack himself, Nine looked to see that Giratina's eyes didn't seem to stop looking at him. And in a moment later, the eyes were all that was left. This being the third time Nine was seeing this attack now, had formed an understanding of the otherwise otherworldly attack. He simply had to look forward and keep his wits about him. As he heard the shriek Nine flared up with a dark aura around him and went to punch forward, as the legend had appeared in front of him and brought down its ghastly claw. That he had countered and punched forward towards the legend didn't seem to perturb it much this time, and it still managed to get in a heavy blow of its own, knocking Nine away and knocking the breath out of him.

Stumbling back Nine attempted to fire back at the legend, though by the time he had righted himself a claw from the whip like arm of Giratina shot out and struck his face. Disoriented by the attack, Nine was forced back off his feet and onto the ground.

Giratina's Lair Team Karaoke

Lok managed to strike the legend with his Hex, although he was soon facing a deadly pair of eyes which burned into his mind. Before he knew it, Giratina had vanished, although those ghastly eyes were still glaring at him. She soon appeared over him, dropping her arm straight towards him. Caught off guard, Lok tried to side step it as he felt the attack smash into his shoulder, sending him crashing down onto the ground in pain. Luckily, her attention was brought towards the other, as Giratina left Lok on the ground whimpering as he clutched his shoulder. Lok felt like it was a miracle that he even had an arm at this point, as he slowly picked himself up.

His arm was still killing him as he watched the fight go on. He thought about using Confuse Ray on Giratina, but considering how well that went with Raphael, Lok could only imagine what Giratina would do in a state of madness. Lok took a deep breath, using Double Team to create two other clones of himself as Nine and Giratina went at it. He couldn't risk getting hit by another attack like that - he wasn't sure if he could take it.

As he watched Nine be sent flying back by one of Giratina's attacks, Lok fired off a Hex towards Giratina, hoping to give Nine time to pick himself up, and readied himself to avoid the upcoming attack.

Team Karaoke, Giratina's Lair

Giratina snarled and tried to tear off the glowing seeds on her body to no avail. While Shaymin would slowly regain health from the seeds she would also have a strange, hazy, sensation in her head as Giratina's life force was drained. She would get the feeling that there was some kind of taint behind it. Though her abilities would render this moot as the energy she'd get would still be pure.

Giratina held Nine down and began to squeeze, smirking as she felt him squirm underneath her grip. The shock of the sudden Hex attack caused her to let go. The arm, which had been stretched and bent at an odd angle, was suddenly back at her side as she swung her body around to look for the one who had attacked her.

And she saw three separate, but the same, culprits. She flung herself towards one of them. She didn't seem incredibly fast but it almost was as though the ground moved under her as she ran and she made it towards one of them quicker than she should have. She outstretched her arm and shadowy claws formed, tearing through what was evidently a fake. With wide, angry, eyes, she bent backwards, her feet not moving, until she was looking back another one. Bits of the ground came up into the air, covered in aura, and flung at the other which, like the first, vanished once hit.

Her head snapped to the side and she looked at the last remaining copy, the original, and smiled.

Then her face was struck by a beam of energy and Kayla appeared above her. Slamming a knee into the legends stomach.

Giratina let out a hiss and, placing her hands on the ground, flung her body in a way to throw the girl back and ended up back on her feet again. A strangely elegant, if disturbing, sort of back flip.

---

Gwen watched on through the veil of the wall in front of her. This wasn't right, was it? Just letting them fight that thing all on their own. This should be her fight, not theirs, and yet she was just watching and waiting for them to be destroyed. For what?

"You know why."

She shuddered. They were right. She knew. But was it really right?

"You didn't forget, did you? How this world has twisted? Full of heathens and cowards. You know what you have to do. Wait. Wait for them to weaken her enough so that I may take her power. Then we'll destroy the Godslayers. And from there we can make our own world of those who are worthy. Those who won't fall in the way so many have in this disturbed region."

Gwen's eyes shut and she felt the tears forming. It was true. This was what she had been working towards, even if the memory had been locked away, right? She had set out to gather those who would fight against Giratina. For her master.

But why did it feel so painful?

Spoiler

Giratina, level 94, Pressure. Moves: Dragonbreath, Shadow Force, Aura Sphere, Shadow Claw, Ancient Power.

So, important. Reminder that you three are the last who have to post each round. So once you each do I can post right after. If you want info let me know, if you're worried about stepping on the others' toes let them know, and you can even control Giratina's actions here or there now that you know how they fight and what moves they have as long as you don't go too crazy.

I want to make this last battle for Karaoke one that y'all can really get creative with.

Every time Giratina even so much as looked her way, Shaymin started shivering in fright. Even she felt powerless before its gaze. Thankfully, it didn't have the opportunity to attack her under the onslaught of moves from her allies. "Thank you...everybody," she whispered. However, each time they attacked, they were sent flying. Eventually, there was a brief interlude in the fight where everybody had just been knocked back by the superior legendary. It was then that Shaymin took action.

Lowering herself to crouch down to the ground on her knees, the legendary ignored the dirt collecting on her dress. The grass type clapped her palms against the earth and closed her eyes. A rumbling shook the cavern as the ground cracked open underneath Giratina once again in a flash of yellow and orange. When the light died, the group would see, where the earth had ruptured, that familiar swirling void of darkest blue.

Nine felt the pressure and unnatural weight of the legend's hand press against his head. Grunting as he tired to push up from the ground, he could tell that this was a fight he wasn't going to win against as the legend was simply overpowering him at this point. As he continued to push, he felt the hand suddenly jerk away as the legend seemed to have its attention suddenly taken by something else. Trying to catch his breath, the legend moving away from him came with a sudden alleviation of the sheer pressure. On the one hand, continuing to be attacked by a being so extraordinarily more powerful than himself, as well something with a power that he didn't fully understand, was nothing short of daunting. Yet, on the other, it gave him the same kind of feeling that he had had while fighting Raphael. Something about the challenge before him only served to get his blood pumping, but gave him the strength to keep going on. After all, as a Chaser, Nine couldn't simply back down and cower in the face of a challenge whether it be godslayer, disciple or god itself. And he couldn't afford to simply die here, as there was still someone he needed to talk to after this.

As a dark aura pulsed through his body, amplifying his aura once more, Nine took a deep breath as he got back to his feet. He needed to focus and figure out just how he was going to deal with this legend. They were strong and certainly seemed fast. They had powers that seemed to defy common sense. But, so had everything else he had fought so far. And so, as he watched the legend fight, he realized that there was something about their speed and how they got to Lok so quickly. It wasn't as though they were blisteringly fast, though they certainly weren't slow. But thinking more on it, everything else about the legend's movements and attacks before hand had been bizarre in some way if they weren't straight forward. As he looked around the room, and thought more about the attacks that had been dealt so far, Nine came to a simple conclusion as to how Giratina's powers worked and how simplistic they really were. And how powerful the thing he was fighting actually was. Nevertheless, Giratina had proven to be more beast than person, and likely didn't think much of the group beyond Shaymin. And so even with as ridiculous as power as it had, Nine figured he would be able  to find some sort of opening.

With Giratina being struck by Shaymin's explosion of earth energy, it seemed ready to strike at the legend once again. Interrupting it, Nine sent yet another pulse of darkness towards the legend, and wincing from the attack Giratina rotated fully, passing Shaymin and looking back at Nine. Letting out a low hiss, the claws of the creature seemed to take on a ghostly energy, and the beast bounded towards Nine once more. As it began to close the distance it brought back its arm, beginning to whip it forward. Under normal circumstances the creature would be too far away to actually reach him with its claw from where it was. However, these weren't normal circumstances. Circumstance would always be in favor of Giratina, as it simply altered how everything around it worked and such was it power. And so knowing this, Nine stood his ground and waited. Waited for the only moment in which there would be a lapse in the legend's circumstance. As the claw whipped forward, Nine took a single step back. True to what he believed the claw had come, and having been a moment too late, it still managed to nick his face. All the same even though he had managed to avoid the attack mostly, Giratina hadn't relented and instead stomped on the ground forcing a large rock out of the earth.

The distance between both Nine and Giratina was unusually large, but he knew that simply trying to avoid the attack based on that wouldn't work. As Giratina flung the boulder at him, Nine fired off yet another dark pulse almost immediately, striking the rock and instead destroying it into a flurry of other rocks. Side pivoting towards where he had struck the boulder, Nine managed to avoid the vast majority of the attack, instead getting hit by small chunks instead of one massive rock. Looking past the rocks, wincing in pain, Nine noticed that Giratina had vanished yet again. He didn't know where Giratina was going to be when they appeared once more, but he already knew the attacks tell as well as knew where Giratina was going to be. Closing his eyes, Nine waited for a moment, hearing the tell tale screech of the legend and hitting the floor almost immediately as he heard it.The ghostly claw of the legend sailed overheard of him and turned to face where Giratina was, striking them with yet another empowered dark pulse.

Screeching in pain from the attack, Nine looked to see the beast begin to charge a sphere of energy in its mouth. Recognizing it as the same attack from before, Nine ignited his arms, letting loose a flamethrower as the beast fired its aura sphere towards him. Though his amplified aura had certainly helped in reducing the impact, the legend's attack was still clearly stronger and managed to force its way through his flames and struck into Nine's flame spewing arm. Grunting in pain as his arm was forced away from the sheer power of the attack, Giratina didn't relent as it whipped its arm at Nine's leg and grabbed it. The legend then lifted Nine up, with such ease he may as well have been weightless, whipping  him behind themselves before whipping him back forward and tossing him through the air. With a ghostly claw appearing on its other, Giratina swung its arm forward and without moving from its spot and coming from an impossible angle, hit Nine in the stomach and spiked him back into the ground.

Giratina's Lair Team Karaoke

Lok watched in horror as Giratina killed his clones one by one, until it was just him with her. He froze up as the Legend smiled at him, clenching his fists as he rpepared for the worst. He closed his eyes, bracing himself for whatever attack Giratina had in mind, but he felt nothing. When he opened his eyes, he saw Kayla on top of Giratina. He let out a sigh of relief, relaxing his shoulders. "Thank you..." He said weakly towards Kayla, before watching her be pushed away from Giratina. "Kayla!" He shouted, turning back towards Giratina.

He took a moment to catch his breath as the others fight, trying to think of something. There was no way he was going to be able to keep this up - eventually, Giratina would land another attack on him if he kept attacking her like this. However, he couldn't just sit on the sidelines and watch. This was his mission, his calling. He was gonna have to be smart about it, taking a moment to look around the ground. "Aha!" He said, picking up a particularly large stone off of the rubble of the fight. He tossed the stone in the air, before gripping it tightly in his fist.

He turned back towards the fight, watching Giratina get ready to strike Nine after having knocking him back down. "Nine!" Lok shouted, firing off a Thunderbolt right at Giratina's face with his free hand. He clenched the stone in his other hand, ready to play out his plan.

Team Karaoke, Giratina's Lair

Giratina snarled as they twisted around to look at each of the group. "No use. I can't be stopped. That's why I was brought here. If those traitors couldn't get rid of me what makes you think you can?" She started to snicker as they stood fully upright.

Their hair moved about their head, almost like snakes, and the twisted aura around them could be clearly seen. They shifted to the side just as Lok's Thunderbolt hit them.

The attack hit and the lightning exploded right on their face. Beyond a furrowed brow Giratina didn't let out any indication of harm. She turned towards Lok and started forward. Every step she took seemed jerky and almost as though she was only actually taking half of the steps despite the distance she was crossing. Behind her half a dozen rocks tore from the ground, surrounded in energy, and without looking, she launched them at the others. All the while reaching out towards Lok and glaring with blazing red eyes.

Kayla quickly turned to the side as two of the rocks came for her and she was swift enough to slip right between the attack. Once they soared past she stepped towards Giratina. Though she then glanced over at Lok and hesitated, not wanting to mess up anything he might have in mind.

Instead she observed Giratina, and prepared to intercept any move she went for.

Meanwhile the areas of the ground that had been blasted apart started to, seemingly, bleed. The strange dark liquid oozed up around the hole and started to slowly spread across the floor.

Spoiler

Giratina hasn't attacked Lok yet but she's on her way. It'd be good to share what the plan is Lok's going for btw.

Also Kayla will, most likely, use Me First on the next move Giratina makes.

Shaymin was about to split the earth open one more time when she noticed the existing cracks in the ground start to bleed a strange dark liquid. "That doesn't look good. We should probably stay away from that." She should've known there'd be side effects to using that move around a being like Giratina, in their territory no less.

The legendary clenched her fists, the nails digging slightly into her palm. Even though this move tired her out...she would have to do it. And maybe...that as well. But first, she would have to restore her energy.

The grass type closed her eyes and concentrated, clasping her hands together. Soon afterward, her body began to glow green as the wounds across her form closed. It looked similar to the effects of the energy she got from the seed she had thrown earlier, but much stronger.

Giratina's Lair Team Karaoke

As Lok's attack struck, he watched as Giratina turned her attention towards him, those accursed eyes glaring into his soul. As he watched Giratina raise their arm, he raised both of his in front of him in a cross, purple flames starting to form in the one without the stone. However, instead of attacking him, Giratina attacked the others. Growling, Lok launched the Hex he had in his hand towards Giratina. "Pay attention!" He shouted, as Giratina's body contorted out of the way of the attack. A sinister grin stretched on her face as her body once more began to fade into shadows, leaving behind her sinister glare.

Lok waited for the scream to echo around the cave and, just like before, Giratina appeared in front of him, arm swinging. However, this time it was Lok who disappeared, as he used his ability to posses the stone in his hand. Giratina looked confused as she slammed her arms into the ground, sending dust and the stone Lok was in into the air. Just as suddenly as he had disappeared, he popped right out of the stone, appearing on top of Giratina and, placing his hands on her, firing off another Will-o-Wisp

Giratina let out a howl, although it sounded more like it came from frustration more than anything, as Lok managed to land the attack. Giratina's body violently twisted around as she swung one of her claws towards Lok, who was caught off-guard by the sudden attack. However, instead of feeling the legend's claws brutally slash into him, he instead felt Kayla crashing into him as she managed to get in between the attack and him. Lok and Kayla tumbled onto the ground, although Kayla was able to land on her feet as Giratina angrily stared the two of them down, as dragonic purple flames started festering in her mouth.

Nine laid down on the ground for a moment, trying to catch his breath after Giratina's last attack had knocked the wind right out of him. Slowly but surely, the Houndoom attempted to get back to a standing position, though only managing to get to a crouch as he watched the others unleash their attacks. As Nine watched Lok and Kayla maneuver around Giratina, who still seemed to have the edge on them despite their speed and trickery, the Chaser took the moment to get a little respite before hurling himself right back in the danger. Clenching his hand into a fist, Nine steadied and slowed his breathing as things started to seem dire for the others in their battle against the legend. He still wasn't strong enough. Not to slow down the legend, let alone match it. Though he could feel it. Just as he had against Jabari. Just as he had against Nikora. He was able to feel himself approaching the apex of his strength once more.

Standing up slowly, Nine focused inward on his aura once more, and as he did the darkness that had pulsed through was practically seeping out of his body. With his own aura at its sharpest and most amplified now, Nine looked towards Giratina as he was fully righted. As the legend was starting to wind up its breath attack yet again, Nine shouted, "over here!" Lifting up one hand and charging it with energy, Nine fired a dark pulse right towards Giratina. At the alert, without moving the rest of its body, Giratina's neck swiveled to face Nine before letting loose the breath attacks towards the pulse. As the two attacks clashed, Giratina had managed to power through the attacks but its breath seemed to fizzle out after doing so. Looking annoyed with Nine, without moving the creature merely melted into shadow once again, prompting Nine to be on the defensive again.

As he awaited the attacked from the legend, he heard the tell tale shriek of it appearing once more, and as he ducked and turned to face the legend, he realized that Giratina was not in fact right with melee range of him. Being a sizable distance away, the creature whipped its shadowed claw in arc towards him. Sending a pulse upward, Nine suddenly saw the arm whip further down and strike the ground, avoiding the attack entirely. Then, without actually pausing, as the arm struck the ground it bent again at an upward angle and rocketed towards Nine, uppercutting him and forcing him back to his feet. Wincing in pain, Nine stumbled back only to look back and see Giratina suddenly right next to him. But its other arm where it was not a moment ago. As the arm that was hyper extended back grew shadowy claws, the arm rocketed forward towards Nine as it tried to slash into him. Seeing this coming this time, Nine brought up an arm and channeled the dark foul play aura through it, as he matched blows with Giratina. Wincing in pain from the attack, the legend had suddenly been a foot further away from him having brought up one leg. Without the distance between them closing, the legend kicked forward, and in an instant Nine was struck in the gut and stumbled back.

Gritting his teeth, still managing to keep his footing, Nine was glad to see that the will-o-wisp of Lok's had worked, making the full force of the last attacks much less painful then before. However, not relenting, Giratina reeled its head back as it started to gather the twisted dark aura it had struck him with each time before. Nine knew there was no escape from the attack, and being struck by it again would probably spell his end. The first time he had taken it head on. The second time he seriously hurt his arm to stop it. This time, however...

Taking a deep breath, Nine shouted, "Kayla! I'm gonna need some fire!" Igniting his arm, Nine took a readied stance for the attack. Taking the signal, Kayla preempted and copied Nine's own attack, letting loose a flamethrower at him. As the flames hit him, those that were already on him exploded into an even more ferocious flame, the black aura around Nine now being mixed with a glowing orange and red. As Giratina fired off the Aura Sphere towards Nine, the Houndoom in turn launched his flamethrower at the orb, meeting it head on. The two attacks clashed and, after a moment of pause, they both had managed to cancel the other out. With nothing but the remnants of fire and aura in the air, Nine continued to look defiantly towards Giratina.

Team Karaoke, Giratina's Lair

For the first time since this battle started Giratina seemed to be hesitant. She was slightly slower to react as she whipped her head from one of them to another. They had, by design or coincidence, ended up in four different directions from the Legend. Her neck snaked this way and that as she seemed to be considering where to go next.

The first to act was Kayla, though she knew she didn't have anything that could do much harm to Giratina if they didn't move first.

She set off a volley of water shurikens which Giratina easily stopped with a swipe of her claw. But as the attack went through Kayla started running, motioning for Nine to help her up, she stepped onto his hands and jumped into the air above Giratina and fired several more shurikens.

The attack landed upon Giratina's shoulders and the Legend grimaced as the stinging sensation was felt. Kayla wasn't done yet, though. While landing she shot out a beam of energy as well.

Giratina twisted around as the beam passed by their waist, bending unnaturally to curve around the beam, and let out a snarl. She didn't seem to act but one of the pools of liquid began to rapidly bubble and, as Kayla stepped forward to go for another wave of attacks, the liquid erupted from the ground and coated her.

It didn't hurt but Kayla felt a strange dizzying sensation. She halted in her steps. Uncertain where to even place her feet.

She saw Giratina approach her and put her arms up but the Legend simply passed right through.

A moment later the actual Giratina was there and, grabbing her throat, tossed her into the air. The Legend then vanished and reappeared, with the now familiar scream, above Kayla and slammed her fist into the girl's back.

Kayla struggled to turn but she couldn't tell which way was up anymore. She fired one last beam of energy at Giratina before her back crashed against the ground and her vision went black.

Giratina landed moments later above the girl and twisted around to look at the others. Smiling wide and motioning with one claw as if to say "Come get me."

Spoiler

As a reminder

Giratina, level 94, Pressure. Moves: Dragonbreath, Shadow Force, Aura Sphere, Shadow Claw, Ancient Power.

And as you've all done now it's good to, especially if you can't get a hold of me, do some moves on your own.

For the record that liquid caused, basically, confusion. Kayla is down atm, though she might not be fully out quite yet. All that happened within a short time frame if you thought that it was too much happening.

Also for now I'll set deadline for Saturday (1 week) still but I'd greatly prefer within the next 5 days which would be....Thursday/Friday.

Nine braced himself for whatever it was that Giratina was going to do next, as the legend seemed to look wary about the group around them. Not much time passed, however, before she and Kayla had begun to fight one another. As Kayla touched the black liquid seeping through the ground, it was made clear that Shaymin's warning of it was not unfounded. Watching Kayla stumbled around and attack at where Giratina wasn't it was clear that it was having an effect on the woman. As the legend had defeated the deputy and seemed to regain some of their composure back, Nine glared at the legend.

Looking between them and Kayla, Nine could feel his anger rising just as it had against Raphael. Yet, he still knew that rushing would end with him getting thrashed, and worse yet could harm Kayla. And so, though frustrated as he saw the legend's gleeful look, he simply maintained his fighting stance as he slowly inched his way towards the legend. As he took a deep breath, the young chaser began to channel the darkness flowing through his body, before sending a wave high towards the legends head. Without much effort needed on its part, the beast merely bent backward, going into a full arch to avoid the attack. As it did so, the legend launched both of its arms into the ground next to it, infusing it with a spectral aura before ripping the ground out and hurling them at Nine.

Bringing both of his arms up, Nine fired off a dark pulse from both arms, this times the pulses being strong enough to match the sheer might of the legend's ancient power. However, as the rubble was clearing, Nine saw a spectral claw rocketing towards his face. Moving his head to the side, he managed to avoid the attack, with only a knick on his face from the strike, before realizing something. If this was Giratina, then there was no way would the attack would simply end with that, given how elastic and bendy the beast's arms were. And so, Nine had an idea. If he could not dodge the attack when it came back, he simply had to cut it off at is root. Charging the darkness through him, the Chaser fired a dark pulse into the dark tendril like arm of Giratina and as he did, his pulse slice right through it.

Roaring as its arm was severed from it, Giratina brought another arm back before vanishing into shadow. There was hardly a delay this time as it reappeared right in front of Nine with a screech, and seemed to be bringing an arm towards his gut. Seeing this, Nine figured he could dark pulse to stop it, however, before his arm could reach something had come to stop him. Feeling a sudden grasp and jerk from behind, Nine was then punched in the gut by Giratina's shadowy fist. Having the wind knocked out him, he could see the gleefully snarling creature in front of him as the thing grabbing at him slowly revolved around his neck, revealing it to be Giratina's severed arm. As the dark the tendril of the arm reconnected with the main body, completely reattaching itself, the legend had a gleeful smile as it began to charge its dark aura in its mouth once again. Though Nine had half a mind to just match the aura sphere yet again, he realized that he was suddenly right within striking distance of Giratina.

Charging his dark aura through himself yet again, Nine brought up a hand and fired a pulse right at the creature's throat. With the attack connecting, Giratina reeled their head back as the charging aura seemed to be disrupted. Letting out yet another screech, the creature bent back in an arc yet again, picking Nine up again by the stomach and neck before tossing them backwards. Being flung through the air, Nine eventually hit the ground with a thud and felt something decidedly not solid underneath him. Picking himself up from the ground, Nine opened his eyes only to suddenly feel dizzy. Though he could feel his hands on the ground, he couldn't help but think that he was suddenly upside down. Still, he felt himself able to stand and get back on his feet, though he was entirely off balance. Looking ahead, he saw that Giratina was indeed where they last were. And  on the ceiling. And in the magma pool. Though he knew something was decidedly wrong, Nine still couldn't make sense of what was going on and merely kept his fighting stance ready.

Giratina's Lair Team Karaoke

As Lok picked himself up, he noted that they had Giratina surrounded. However, their advantage would soon be gone, as he watched Giratina defeat Kayla. The strange black liquid seemed to have some sort of confusing effect to it. Luckily, Lok could float, he thought to himself, as he hovered above the ground. Nine, however, was not as lucky, as he found himself slamming right onto the strange liquid. Through the fighting between his allies, Lok found himself behind Giratina. As Giratina prepared to attack Nine, Lok struck with a Hex aimed at her back.

Giratina let out a howl as the Hex struck her, this one hurting more than the previous ones. Without turning her body, her head snapped backwards to face Lok, a wicked grin on her face that sent shivered down Lok's spine. He didn't have his stone anymore, as it was now lost somewhere in the black liquid, and he wasn't about to go looking for it. The rest of her body snapped towards him as one of her claws jutted towards Lok at alarming speeds. The boy barely managed to swerve out of the way as the claw slammed onto the wall, before receding back to her.

Clenching his fist, Lok fired off another Hex towards Giratina. She didn't move, instead grinning even more wickedly as smoke started spewing from her mouth. Before Lok even had time to register what was happening, Giratina had already fired her dragonic breath towards Lok, the flames consuming the Hex mid air and barreling towards him. Caught off guard, Lok was sent flying backwards as the flames hit him, causing him to crash into the wall. As he fell, he manged to make himself barely levitate above the murky ooze below, although he didn't have enough time to act as Giratina was already upon him. The legend grabbed him by the head, a mad grin on her face as she tightened her grip on the boy's head. Slowly, she raised Lok up, who was flailing frantically as Giratina let out a cackle. He fired off a Hex in an attempt to be set free, which hit Giratina in the chest but did nothing to stop her as she prepared to dunk the boy into the liquid.

Shaymin's head whipped back and forth between Kayla and Nine in a panicked fluster. Soon, however, the motions stopped as the legendary closed her eyes and breathed in. As she did so, a soothing breeze blew in from outside the cavern, carrying on it the scent of fresh flowers. As soon as the wind reached Nine he would feel his head start to clear.

Giratina seemed to realize what she had done as the other turned her head toward Shaymin to give her a glare. While this caused the grass type to tremble in fear yet again, she managed to stay in place, closing her eyes yet again and clasping her hands together. Her body began to glow a bright white, though a green halo of sorts surrounded her form. At the same time, a shockwave of green power erupted from the woman, buffeting against Giratina. With a screech, the legendary's grip on Lok began to loosen.

As the last of the shockwaves died down, so did the glow surrounding Shaymin's form, revealing an entirely different, yet still familiar person. The excitable youth from before.

"Aww yeah! No need to fear, Skymin is here!" the boy tested his fist against his palm. Glancing around, he took in the situation. "Looks like things are pretty heated up." He grinned at Giratina. "Hey! Remember me, spike-head? Looks like we didn't teach you a good enough lesson, before."

The legendary let out a roar of rage and recognition, and without letting go of Lok, used her other arm to rip part of the ground out and throw it toward Shaymin.

"Ha! Gotta be faster than that to beat me," the flying type boasted, his cape fluttering as a large whirlwind whipped up and blew against both Giratina and the boulder. While an obstacle for the dragon type, it seemed a boon to the others, as they would find their movement speed increased.

"Now..." the youth grinned, "let me show you a real attack!" And with that, he sent a blade of air headed straight for Giratina.

Team Karaoke, Giratina's Lair

Giratina managed to dunk Lok into the liquid. Or more accurately slammed him into the ground where the pool of liquid was covering. Though her efforts seemed to be mostly wasted as Shaymin's healing attack would wash away both Lok and Nine's confusion as if it never happened.

Barely hanging onto Lok now, Giratina's focus was fully on the Legend that had appeared seemingly, to Giratina, out of nowhere.

She growled as Shaymin's Air Slash raced towards her and let loose a Dragonbreath. The attacks collided and, while the Air Slash slowed, it still cut through to strike across Giratina's face.

Grip on Lok weakening she moved towards Shaymin with a single-minded determination. Dragging the boy with as she rushed towards Shaymin, moving faster than she should be capable of, basically gliding across the ground, as she raked her claw across where Shaymin was standing.

Spoiler

Super short post I know but y'all are doing well at making several actions which makes this go a lot easier. atm Giratina is trying to Shadow Claw Skymin.

And for now Nine and Lok are free from Confusion. Lok has to break away from Giratina's grip though. And both are getting low in health

While avoiding a Shadow Claw was not something his regular form could do, with this form's increased speed and the boost from Tailwind, Shaymin was able to avoid the Shadow Claw that came his way with a loop-de-loop in the air. "That the best you can do? It feels like you're standing still," he boasted, firing off a green ball of energy toward the legendary. Unfortunately, it looked like Giratina was also fast...fast enough to phase out into the shadows as the Energy Ball splashed harmlessly against the cave wall behind her.

Shaymin looked around. "Hiding in the shadows like a true villain," he scolded the air. "What a--" he cut himself off as Giratina came down from behind, catching him off guard and smacking him into the ground from the force of the attack. "Oh that's it!" he shouted, firing off another Energy Ball. This time, it hit. As the legendary let out a roar of pain, Shaymin followed up with an Air Slash. Recovering, Giratina opened its mouth, letting loose a blast of purple flames which exploded on contact with the Air Slash. Without stopping for a breath, the legendary fired off an Aura Sphere that came hurtling through the dissipating smoke.

Caught off guard, Shaymin was not able to avoid this attack either. Thankfully, the Leech Seed was still in effect, but he was not looking nearly as fresh as he had at the start of the fight. Sending off another Air Slash, the legendary followed it up with a second. "You're tough, but can you avoid two at once?!"

With a growl, Giratina phased out of existence once more, managing to avoid both, but this time Shaymin was ready. When she reappeared, he had already turned around and fired off an Air Slash at point-blank range, straight at her eyes. As she attempted to recover from the attack, he sent another Air Slash toward the hand holding Lok in place. "Just face it. I'm awesome, and you're not. Now let go of Lok!"

Nine continued to stumble about as he saw Giratina in front of him - to the side? No, wait, they were walking on the ceiling? The Houndoom was fairly certain that there was not really three Giratinas, though if it had the ability to split itself he wouldn't be entirely surprised at this point. But, dealing with three of them - illusion or not - was not at all possible, especially when he didn't feel all that steady on his feet. However, as the boy prepared himself to keep fighting, he felt a sudden calm wash over him. Within an instant, all of the Giratinas had seemed to vanish and whatever strange distortion was going on with his vision had seemed to clear up. His head felt clear once more and he was suddenly aware of his actual surroundings. But more than that, he felt lighter as well. No matter which direction his body moved, the wind seemed to follow and guide him along his intended path.

Looking to see the two legends fight, Nine saw that it was now Skymin with them, who seemed to be all gung ho to duke it out with the beast. As he finished his onslaught of attacks to help free Lok from the grasp of Giratina, Nine fired off a dark pulse to help keep the pressure on. Giratina, now more aware as the group continued to persist, was not caught off guard by Nine's attack. Instead, summoning a large collection of rocks, the beast flung them at the dark pulse, the two attacks colliding and destroying each other as a result. Without wasting a moment, not even looking at the clash of attacks, Nine immediately turned around and took a back step. Before, he had the sense to know something like this would happen, but with Skymin's help he had the speed to actually keep up with it. Feeling the rushing wind pass his face as a shadowed claw appear from the shadows, a shriek to follow it, Giratina appeared glaring at Nine as their attack had seemed to miss.

Seeing the smile on Nine's face at this, the legend roared and amassed a glow of purple fire in its mouth. Though he knew that the dragon breath was coming, Nine's eyes flitted over to the claws charging with ghostly energy. In this situation there were about to be three attacks coming at him at once, and with very little time to figure out how best to avoid them, he simply let his instincts take over and the wind guide his body.

As the flames streamed out from Giratina's mouth, Nine's body twisted away from them as one of his arms ignited to match whatever glancing flames had still managed to make their way towards him. With his other arm, the Chaser charged it with darkness and fired a pulse out as the first of the shadow claws had come within striking distance of him. The claw, as a result, lost the ghostly energy surrounding it and was forced away, causing the beast to howl in pain from the parry. The second claw, however, he could do nothing about as it slammed into his side. However, rather  than simply standing his ground bracing himself for the attack, Nine pushed himself off the ground and jumped with the force of the attack to help minimize the damage.

Landing a bit away from Giratina, Nine winced in pain. Even if his head was clear and his body was light, his muscles were still on fire. He could feel soreness and exhaustion trying to set in and take their toll against him, even if he was trying his hardest to will himself to keep fighting. As things were, Nine felt confident in his ability to at least partially match Giratina, though it was still a losing battle against him. Skymin was certainly a boon too, a very combat ready legend that seemed to be an expert at goading Giratina. All that left was Lok. The boy was not particularly strong and against this beastly legend had a natural disadvantage. Nine and Skymin could do a lot of work to help cover the power gap, but still it was up to Lok himself to keep himself safe, which was a much easier task said than done. As Nine tried to figure a way he could make this easier for him, he noticed something.

"Lok. The ground." As the battle against the legend had raged, it and Shaymin had ripped apart the earth several times. Not only that, but Giratina had flung large boulder after boulder at Nine, and in the end they had all smashed against something. And when the boulder had been destroyed all that was left was small rocky rubble. Rubble scattered across the cavern floor.

Giratina's Lair Team Karaoke

For a brief moment, Lok felt his mind escape him as his face was plunged face-first into the murky liquid below. Even after the cool breeze washed over him and cleared his mind, his ears were still ringing from the impact. It took a second for his vision to focus as he felt the grip on his head loosen. He placed his hand on Giratina's arm, unleashing a Thunderbolt directly on the legend's wrist, but that didn't seem to do much of anything. Panicking, he started flailing about, trying to pry himself loose. Through the onslaught of his allies, and another Thunderbolt on her wrist, he was eventually able to get himself free. It helped that Giratina's attention seemed to be on the others now. "Thanks..." Lok said, noticing that Shaymin had changed into their more heroic form.

Lok was confused as to why Nine was talking about the ground, before he looked down at all the rubble below him. This was more than enough for him to at least distract Giratina enough for the others to win. Picking up a couple stones off of the ground, Lok ignited his hand with a Hex. Giratina had by now long forgotten about him, as she raised her claw to launch one at Nine. The purple flames flew through the air, hitting Giratina right in the back of the head. Her head almost immediately snapped around to face Lok, her claw unnaturally hurling itself right at Lok with alarming speeds. The claw slammed onto the ground as Lok disappeared into the stone in his hand, The legend let out an annoyed grunt, turning the rest of her body around as Lok seemed to emerge from out of nowhere.

With a roar, Giratina let out a wave of dragonic flames, as Lok kicked a stone in the air. With a small blink of light, Lok vanished into the stone in the air, ready to drop on top of Giratina and fire off another Hex. However, Giratina had seemed to start to catch onto Lok's tricks, as she hurled her claw right towards the stone. Lok had no choice but to jump out of the rock as it shattered in the air, crashing onto the ground. Lok let out a grunt, frantically reaching for some rubble next to him as he anticipated Giratina's next move.

Giratina was snarling as they charged for Lok. Swinging her claw down towards the Ghost Gijinka. When Lok responded the Legend would seem to grow even more distressed and crazed. Thrashing about. If they looked closely they would see wounds appearing on their body from the attacks that the group had sent its way. Even the mighty Legend was bound to be worn down by so many attacks.

But something seemed wrong. Giratina retreated backwards. Crouching low as they kept their eyes on the group and slowly backed away.

They would notice that the liquid seemed to be spreading as even more chunks of the ground had been torn up.

Giratina stopped, twitched, and violently threw their head back. And let out a bestial roar.

Then the world vanished. The walls and floor, everything, disappeared suddenly. No one could see in front of their face.

And just as suddenly the world returned. Only it seemed twisted.

BGM

Instead of walls and a floor there were chunks of ground floating in space. Some above, some below, some off to the side. Each of them stood on a different one. Shaymin found himself above the others, standing upside down, though to him it seemed right-side-up. Nine was standing sideways off on one end. And Lok, along with Giratina, were on platforms where the "floor" had once been.

Giratina moved to the next closest platform and it suddenly moved sideways. They jumped up and found themselves on one of the platforms above Lok. Which itself then moved and slide in next to Nine's platform.

The Legend herself also seemed different. Her face was more savage than before, more animal-like. Their arms seemed to have vanished and instead there were a multitude of spear-like limbs waving around on their back. At first glance there only seemed to be a few but upon a second look there seemed too many to count. But as they twisted their head towards Nine one of her arms reappeared and grabbed the Houndoom. Tossing him towards Lok.

As Nine collided with the platform Lok stood on it suddenly sank lower and twisted to the side. With them still staying upright on it. Despite that it seemed they should have fallen off into the abyss below.

The only remnant of the previous cave they could see was off in the distance, next to another platform, the tunnel exit. Where Gwen watched in horror.

"I have to help...this is too much." Gwen said and started to drift forward.

The voice stopped her again. "No, it's too soon. They aren't weakened enough. You would ruin all our planning in an instant? Just wait, it's not time."

Gwen bit her lip but didn't respond. Only gazing out at her companions. Was this the price she had to pay for her part in this plan?

Spoiler

Welcome to the Distortion World. I tried my best to explain the nature of this place but if you're confused feel free to ask.

Note that by now most of you will be getting pretty worn down.

Grunting and wincing as he picked himself back up, Nine was certainly feeling the burn across his entire body. He was already skeptical about how much longer he could last, and to make things worse he wasn't even sure he was actually conscious anymore. After all, the world around him no longer seemed to make any sense and the legend they had been fighting was suddenly a lot  more nightmarish in appearance. Though, granted, he could hardly call the cave they were in logical to begin with, so he would just be safe and assume that he was not in some crazy nightmare. Putting more thought into it after the initial shock, though, Nine realized that the apple still didn't fall that far from the tree, and that the ability to create a small marble of reality on top of the rest of reality was Giratina's true power. That, a cosmetic change and some manner of insanity. Looking up - and sideways - towards Giratina, Nine taunted, "you know instead of changing the world, I think your power would've been much better served as a performer."

Seeming barely sentient as this point, the beast that was Giratina let out a feral roar as it reeled its head back. Gathering particles of energy from the world around it as it started to charge its breath, now a darker shade of purple then before, the beast let out a stream of draconic flame towards the Houndoom. Though his muscles still ached the bizarre tailwind that was still up helped Nine to react fast enough to start moving against the oddly angled, and definitely faster than before, flame. Nine had a general idea of how some of the platforms in this world worked, or at least he hoped he did as the alternative meant plunging in to an abyss. And so, going with his assumption, Nine leaped from one platform to another, wincing as he landed on the grounded and his legs certainly made that known to him.

As the breath of draconic flame continued to follow Nine as he jumped, the moment he landed the ground underneath him began to rumble. Then, with a sudden jerk and is off on some kind of a track, the platform began to move and curse, so that now Giratina was instead directly above him. Stopping the breath attack as it was able to keep up with the platforms movement, Giratina let out yet another screech before vanishing. Not bothering at all to be clever this time, the legend appeared directly in front of Nine, ghostly energy covering a multitude of spear like limbs that all seemed ready to thrust forward. Thinking fast, Nine brought his hands up as he channeled darkness into them. In all other times before, Nine had simply fired a pulse off as a singular blast to hit the target, but with this many limbs in front of him there was no way one single focused blast would parry them all away. So instead, he focused the dark energy between his hands, before spreading his arms out wide and firing a much wider dark pulse. As the spear like limbs shot forward, they each were met with the wave of darkness that Nine fired, though they all eventually spread out as well, dispersing the energy of the blast. Now in close range, the legend charged up a black sphere of aura in its mouth, to which upon seeing Nine ignited both of his arms yet again.

Bringing them back forward, Nine let loose a flamethrower as the legend fired off an aura sphere, the two attacks colliding. However, as Giratina seemed to have boosted in power in this realm, rather than his flame out muscling the aura sphere the two attacks exploded as they clashed. Being knocked back by the force a bit, both Nine and Giratina stumbled backward, though with the wind at his side Nine strained his back leg as he moved backward. Trying to slingshot himself forward, Nine did a short hop with one leg, as he charged his body with darkness to kick Giratina square in the chin, the force of its own increased strength being used against it as it was sent flying up and off the platform. As the legend began to fall up, before Nine could even land, it let loose yet another roar as a few of its spear like limbs shot forwards towards Nine. Covered in ghostly energy, three of them struck Nine in the torso, forcing him backward and onto the ground reeling and coughing from the force of it.

Everything had gone topsy-turvy, but Shaymin didn't stop to admire the view for long. "This is nothing! I'm used to going upside down and stuff anyway from all the acrobatics I do!" he shouted. With that, the legendary began to jump from platform to platform, painting a bizarre picture as he quickly made his way to where Nine and Giratina were duking it out.

After the Houndoom was forced down to the ground, Shaymin released a green ball of energy toward Giratina, taking advantage of the legendary's distraction to land a direct hit. With a pained growl, the dragon type turned from Nine, spitting a stream of draconic flames toward Shaymin. Despite his earlier words, the gratitude gijinka seemed a little disoriented by the Distortion World and wasn't able to evade the attack. Coughing slightly, he then lunged forward, a move which seemed to catch Giratina off guard as he then fired off a close-range Air Slash. While the ghost type set off another Aura Sphere last minute, it hadn't managed to mitigate all the damage.

Roaring, Giratina took advantage of the now close range to grab Shaymin with one hand, the other grabbing some of the rubble nearby and bashing it against the flying type's head with raw, ancient power. Those watching would see that the youth's head had started to bleed profusely from the wound. With a contemptuous snort, the ghost type threw the boy on the ground next to where Nine had fallen earlier. Growling, the legendary then began to advance toward Shaymin. While the grass type struggled to get up, he seemed to be having some trouble, his eyes slightly unfocused from that earlier blow to the head.

The platform that Nine and Shaymin landed on slowly started to rise and tilt upside down. Even though they didn't fall from it once it did so the pair still felt as though they were standing on a ceiling. While before when one of them were upside down they felt upright Nine and Shaymin at the moment had a distinct feeling of wrongness where they lay.

Giratina tilted her head up and them and smiled wide. They could see into her mouth and the more they looked the more they felt as though they were being sucked in. There was a blackness that felt like a void of some kind that went on forever. Then she licked her lips and the feeling vanished. She leapt to another of the platforms and it started to raise up alongside the one the two of them were on. "You were so confident. But you see now how weak you are? My power is that of those who created the world. What are you to that?"

They leapt from the platform they were on and landed with feet on either side of Shaymin's waist. The platform split in half. The one with Nine on it starting to drift away.

Giratina took a few steps down and leaned in towards Shaymin. Back bending almost completely so that her face was in front of Shaymin's. With a guttural snarl she opened her mouth and let out a bout of draconic breath at close range.

In an instant a few of the spears along Giratina's back shot out as if on their own and struck the platform Nine was on. With a grunt Giratina flung the platform, the side with Nine on it facing away, heading for a collision course for where Lok now stood.

---

Gwen twitched. "I...they're going to die." She whispered.

"Perhaps but you knew that would be the case when you came here. Don't fool yourself now, child. It will all be for the best in the end. If you enter now it will all go to ruins."

Gwen nodded reluctantly. But there was something, as though a second voice was in the background, telling her that it was wrong.

Spoiler

So yeah, Lok has a chunk of ground heading for him now, with Nine on the side opposite of the one that would collide with Lok.

And Shaymin is catching a Dragonbreath to the face, lovely.
