Though the real winner is ZeRo, who stayed home and restreamed the tournament (with permission and some stipulations, of course), and made more money than the winner in doing so. XD

I always watch ZeRo's streams of tournaments, his commentary is really good and really funny.

Yeah, I read ZeRo kind of retired and focuses on streaming now. I have mixed feelings about that because it shows that streaming can be more profitable than being a smash top player. Makes me wonder if I should jump on the stream train, too. Even if I'm not a top player, I guess that with decent knowledge I can build up a fanbase and roll from there.

I don't really follow smash pros. I watch tournament streams/videos and I am familiar with some of them, but I don't root for anyone in particular, instead I root for the underdogs or those who bring underused characters to the table. Although I noticed Ultimate has a lot of viable diversity, it impresses me.

He's going to some stuff, like Summit and Evo, but he's pretty burned out and doesn't actually like going to tournaments. He's left behind a record that will most likely never be reached again, and now he doesn't have to live paycheck to paycheck, so to speak, going to multiple tournaments a week because Smash tournaments make little to no money (Genesis' winner payout was only about $7000).

They don't much, but 2 is very likable, it's a more socially-oriented laid back game since it takes place in a military school and all the characters do a lot of laid back casual activities and interact with each other and stuff, but it can get very serious very often.

1 and 4 are part of the main series. The Second Europan War ends at the end of 4. 2 and 3 follow a different conflict, the Gallian Civil War and the unrest within Gallia.

What power level were you when you fought her? I braved the volcano Valkyrie at like 5. Somehow won.

I foughtthe first seven Valkyries from levels 3-5, and I think I was 7 when I fought the Niflheim one.

In general I'd say I breezed past the Valkyries after the first couple because they largely shared the same movesets, just some stuff needed to be dodged/parried differently depending on which one. At that point it was basically like fighting Dark Souls bosses that you're already used to. I beat the Muspelheim and Niflheim ones first try iirc.

The trailer made it seem like they will be the last two which highlights how much they want to get in on the movie. 

I'm still hoping for at least Master Roshi or Mr. Satan to get in.

If they're bringing in ToP people, that makes the most sense alongside Jiren. Videl is hype, so I'm down for more human characters like Mr. Satan and Roshi.

And it's been many years but now we finally get to see where the "spiritual sucessor Kickstarter because we don't have the rights to just make another game in the series" trio of Mighty No. 9, Yooka-Laylee, and Bloodstained ended up. MN9 is a bad ~5/10, YL is a pretty okay ~7/10, and Bloodstained is a great ~9/10.

MN9 being the only one of those three that got shafted by an actual sequel afterwards.

I mean, it's not like MN9 didn't already invalidate itself on its own merit beforehand.

I'm just curious what this'll mean for potential future installments. Everything may have been completely reset but I don't think in MK12 they'll have an entirely new cast of characters, that'd be a lot of work and no one would like all the fan favorites being gone (though it is possible). So the timeline will most likely repeat itself in a way that the same characters still exist, I'm just wondering in what capacity. Especially for Raiden, it's not like he'd make a return as the Thunder God again right? I feel like that'd sort of defeat the purpose of him fusing with Liu Kang and being mortal at the end of the story. So what would that do for his significance in the story as well as how he'd fight in terms of gameplay?

Raiden becoming mortal is something I’m curious about for future installments as well

Granted, not like I'm overly invested in how he'd play as a mortal, it's not like I've actually played any MK games.

Nah CoD is fine, black ops 4 is great.

CoD is a pretty solid game. A lot of Sonic games are full of just janky shit and it gets defended and I still don't get why. I get that people had fun with the games but I watch them and at least the majority of the 3D ones just look boring and kinda broken.

As for the 3D ones I feel like the last good ones were Colors/Generations in 2010/2011, and before that not since SA2 in 2001. As for the 2D of course there's Mania, but I dunno about before that since I haven't played any 2D ones since the Genesis days.

When I was younger and played Fable for the first time I did at least a couple evil playthroughs, but kids are little shits and I was no different.

Agree 100%. Also love that you can play Rathalos' theme on all those stages too. The other play list is the best.

I haven't unlocked all the songs to look at everything but I suppose all the songs that would go under "Other" or whatever in the music playlists are all just bunched together on all the miscellaneous stages (Living Room, Tomodachi Life, Pictochat, Wrecking Crew, etc.).

Pretty much. If a stage doesn't have a character they just get the other play list. I think the Ice Climber stage is the only exception. 

A team comp setup in Overwatch that's 3 tanks and 3 supports, it's called GOATS because that's the name of the team that popularized it. It's been the meta for a long ass time.

Huh. Strange, because most times that I'd play Competitive, the team would usually aim for 2 Tank, 2 Healer, and 2 Damage. We'd only go 3 Tank 3 Healer if we were losing and taking desperate measures.

Well I imagine your average comp team doesn't necessarily have the coordination to run GOATS, unless you're a full premade who's practiced it or something. This is specifically a pro league change that the 2-2-2 lock is happening to I'm pretty sure.

Also seriously though,  love the British theme of the game, the MCs and especially the female one looks great and look like a perfect positive Brit stereotype and having high class stuff and castles and other British design sounds amazing

Sounds very similar to Blazon Summons in the DL raid events. You get Blazons from the boss/raid battle to pull items from a box that you can reset once you empty it (or for the first 4 boxes, once you pull the copy of the free Dragon for the event), but the box itself only has things like crafting materials and gold and a handful of equipment items and stuff, no premium currency.

Though there is a special EX version of the raid boss that you can sometimes fight after doing Expert/Nightmare mode which goes away once you beat it until the next time you unlock it, and the reward pool for that has summoning tickets in it, albeit at a pretty rare drop rate. So with infinite grinding you could technically get a ton of summoning tickets, though it's not like it's consistent or anything.

Btw that "first four boxes can be reset on drawing the best item in them" thing is exactly how it works in gbf too, down to the number of boxes. Same for the extra special boss that only sometimes spawns after battles. It doesn't drop tickets but it hasa very small chance to drop 1/30th of a damascus ingot

Same for the EX boss in DL, it can drop Damascus Shards which 10 can be traded for an Ingot, and other similar 1/10th items. I assume GBF has a similar Unbind mechanic for weapons and stuff.

And in case anyone is confused on my use of female pronouns I'll go ahead and clear it up. From what I understand of her character (never actually played Granblue so this is just what I've read), she's a trans woman who doesn't want to make the physical transition (which would be fully possible down to the biological level due to alchemy) because she treasures the body her parents gave her that she was born with.

Are you used to any other ArcSys fighting games? The more recent ones have used a similar style of modeling, like Guilty Gear Xrd or DBFZ.

There's been tension between them since before even the first Destiny launched, unsurprisingly. And I remember after the Forsaken launch Activision stated their disappointment at not reaching expected sales and mentioned working on new monetization options, while Bungie later said they weren't disappointed with it and wanted to focus on making Destiny that players love.

Honestly, one of the only reasons I knew this was because of how important it is to the current Kamen Rider season.
