I wonder if we might get a Persona 5 Switch announcement.

I can defo see a Persona 5 Switch announcement, and they can integrate the release of Joker on the same day.

I can totally see something like "show off Joker game play", scroll to next window "Last Surprise-P5 coming to Switch with gold edition" 

I forgot that a new Pokemon game means new waifus. Sonia was trending on twitter right away basically. And yea, I was thinking that too Cow. I'm going to hold judgement on it for when we know the full workings of the mechanic. 

Also, I wonder if their offices really have any Pokemon-related stuff sitting about normally or if it's just put out for presentation for the directs. Or maybe they have far too much around the office and have to actually clean it up a bit for the directs.

The difference with third versions is you get an actual different version of the story, major story shifts, Pokemon species and distribution edits, sometimes rearranging gyms, and so on. You paid for a different experience than the original. And by your logic, Speed Deoxys was in Gen 3. USUM is the only majorly offensive one of the bunch, as it didn’t earn its price tag edit.

To most people, these aren’t one and done games then on to competitive. For a competitive player this is basically the same, if not better, but it’s not for someone who enjoys replaying the games. The price tag of $30 for 200 more Pokémon, with a large chunk of legendaries, and two new wild areas isn’t... worth it?

An area available from, basically, the start will either be under leveled, over leveled, or be weirdly middling. Which, in a game that already has issues with making you over level too easily, it won’t fit into the main game. If they do manage it, great, but there’s nothing to suggest they would.

Plus a huge part of adding Pokémon in is the ability to use them in-game for those types, which is something that you have to pay or pray for. I have issues with the way the wild area was handled in general, but that’s not the issue for now.

And the lack of the GTS is still an issue, especially with how finnicky the WiFi mechanics are. Some people, like Arlo, have even reported basically never being able to connect to anyone else over it.

Yes, the series has had poor practices in the past. That’s no excuse to continue supporting them when the initial product offered isn’t worth $60, much less an additional $30. Even if you got both Sun and Ultra Sun (which was also an issue people did not like), it cost $80. This costs $90 for less, overall.

I honestly couldn't remember if Gen 3 introduced version locked forms.  

I think it is much too early to try and talk about if the $30 price point is worth it. We have no idea how much content is actually in them. And I am very curious how the level balance is going to be handled since this is a post-game area and it is really easy to get your Pokemon to level 100 thanks to the overflowing EXP Candies. 

Your comment about using the Pokemon in game would hold even if the DLC was free since its Post-Game. If I wanted to use Rockruff on my team I just can't until its in the main game for a new game still.

Eh. I differently got $60 worth from just the main game and I haven't even started breeding. I was just as upset as anyone with Dexit (I literally spent over 1000 hours making an in-depth living dex) but if you're just talking about number of Pokemon in the main game 400 is perfectly reasonable.

DLC isn’t postgame. I added that I was wrong about that later. It’s available at the start of the wild area, at least technically. How accessible it really is remains to be seen.

The main game was one of the worst in the series, as I saw it. Only Kalos and ORAS feel worse. Even without accounting for the cut pokemon, the game itself wasn’t worth $60 to me, if even $40, and it’s a fairly common opinion. I can’t justify an additional $30 on top of something I don’t think was worth its cost, so they would have to basically add another campaign for it to be worth it.

MTG... doesn’t really. Outside of like alt art reprints and 1996 World Champion, which was a special case. The fetch lands and equivalent don’t count, considering they’re directly tailored to get whales to purchase them, based on their secondary market value,.

The card being expensive is entirely based on what they can get out of people. That’s a problem of how the entire secondary market runs, but they can do it, scummy as it is... And usage has never been a factor for collector’s items. Lots of cards aimed at collectors in YGO fucking suck. Sure, this isn’t an anime card, but it’s still a commemorative collector’s item.

The price is bull, but play value is not directly proportional to price. Not like you can play rare baseball cards.

My reference point was masterpieces which are a lot more common, something like 5x more, but have way higher actual play value. I get collector's value doesn't always come from actual play value, but I just can't wrap my mind around who would want this outside of uber collectors.

Well "move" was really our only option, and who the hell knows if YCM will even be up again. I hope YCM stays up, since that's where I would like to spend my time, not here, a forum that was made in an attempt to hopefully save the small community we had managed to get out Discord. While YCM is back up, hopefully more people will come here in case the worst is to happen for good. I am glad that the chance to get everybody back is now open, though I am sure that the majority has given up hope on YCM and aren't checking if it's back daily, like I did in my hopelessness until Neo Card Maker was announced.

I've only watched through the first season so far and Berserker has largely been MIA (one of my minor complaints about it honestly). And I'm totally gonna check out Blade Works after.

You haven't seen the last of Berserker, fear not. Though I should warn you, this same issue will follow you into Unlimited Blade Works and be even worse. But that's what the other Stay Night routes are for.

I get that with a decently large cast some stuff is going to be on the back burner. How he and his master get handled ultimately is the more important thing.

It honestly wasn't that bad. As I said spirit board biases towards things you don't have so getting missing stuff is pretty fast. The biggest issue was needing to do WoL twice to get Drac and Marx base forms.

So can you use Pokémon Home for free or will you have to pay for it? That's all I'm really curious about.

Free version of Home gives access to GTS and 30 Pokemon storage, full storage and full transfer is 16 a year or 3 a month, I believe.

Also Bank is free for the first month that Home comes out so people can get stuff from bank and put them in home

I'm comparing the price point from Bank which was $5. I was expecting it to be more, but I was hoping $10. And yes free version can store 30 Pokemon, trade 1 Pokemon over GTS at a time, and 3 wonder trades at a time. Premium is 6000 Pokemon, 3 GTS trades, 10 Wonder Trades, and an IV checker. One Premium account is needed for both phone and Switch. Bank will have a 1 month free special so people can move stuff without paying for both. 

I used to say the same thing, until I started working full-time. Kinda hard to stay up late and be productive the following day.
