  1. Sieg wasn't alone for long. The first person in was someone with a gag over their mouth. Would they be some sort of hideous creature with rows of teeth behind that gag? He wasn't sure what he'd have to do against it if it did turn on them, but he figured going for the neck would be the first thing to do... assuming it wasn't some sort of creature that could survive with its head detached. Next was a man about his age. When he walked in, Sieg noticed that he seemed really nervous. The dragon cursed warrior could relate. He hated crowds just as much as the next guy, maybe even more. Still, he seemed a bit skittish... but even despite all that, he called out to Sieg. "Are ye cauld?" The boy's concern was touching. It even made Sieg smile a little. It helped the boy's accent was funny, yet not unpleasant to listen to. "No, not cold. Just don't like showing my face," He admitted. Images of the looks people would give him when they saw him flashed in his mind. He had to remind himself he was among Jaegers, but... he wasn't a Jaeger either. He was a freak of nature, one beyond the boundaries of human and Jaeger, beyond human and monster. At the very least, it seemed that despite the Jaeger's powers, he didn't mean any harm. He was hiding in the corner, trying to stay out of sight. Sieg wished he was that small... like he used to be. Next was... someone who looked surprisingly human. It was a young girl with a... crow? Raven? He wasn't really good at distinguishing those two birds apart from each other. Was she a Jaeger? She seemed... very human. Was her humanity a cover for a monstrous form? Perhaps not... the bird was talking. Maybe it was the Jaeger and she was just its host? Was it a parasite? The girl seemed innocent enough though. Perhaps they were not a problem. Their excited entrance at least gave him the impression they wanted to help. The next one to walk in was trouble. Sieg didn't need to hear a single word out of her. No woman with those kind of looks and dressed that kind of way could be anything but trouble. Sieg found it hard to keep his eyes off of her, but it wasn't some sort of magic. Was she supposed to be some sort of succubus? Those cat ears helped in that erotic appeal, as much as Sieg hated to admit it, even to himself. Sieg remembered how many people back home seemed to like the idea of a catgirl... and it seemed he was in a position most of them would kill for. Joy. In the end, however, it wasn't his problem though, as it? Someone like him didn't deserve to be with someone, so he wouldn't be tricked by her wiles. Next was some sort of wolf girl. She seemed... cute enough. Maybe because of the kind of Jaeger she was, but Sieg didn't feel as on edge about her as he did about the others. She reminded him of a puppy, excited to be there. Sure, wolves were dangerous but... she seemed far too innocent for that. And of course the first thing that happened was that the cat and dog starting bickering. He should have expected that from Jaegers, but it seemed he had set his expectations far too high. The next person... oh the next person. They set him on edge. Like no one ever before had. He seemed harmless enough, a frail bunny boy, but... something about him just screamed to Sieg that he shouldn't trust him. Why did he felt this way? Yes, he didn't trust any of this people, but for some reason, this man just made his heart clench, a feeling of mistrust just filled Sieg's body. But why? Under his cloak, Sieg's hand snaked up to the center of his chest, where his second heart suddenly refused to beat. It had never done this before... did the dragon in him not trust that Jaeger? What was his own mistrust and what was this monster's? He took a deep breath, one that might have been too loud, but that was okay. The air entered his lungs and the heart started beating again, slightly easing his nerves. There was no reason to be that on edge right now... he needed to keep a clear head to make sure none would attempt to backstab him. The next person seemed... normal enough? He really had no clue how this normal looking person was supposed to be a Jaeger? Maybe Eric did find a human that could help after all. That would be nice to have a normal person to help ground them in this freak show. He knew he wasn't that lucky, however. Finally, the apparent 'newest member' spoke up. "Good morning. I apologize for not introducing myself earlier, for I was stuck in thought." The horned boy bowed. "I am Alexandre Roi of Farway...a pleasure to meet you all." So was he some sort of bull Jaeger? He seemed to be of a higher class... unusual for a Jaeger. "Oh good, the new recruit is playing nice. Isn't that precious." And there he was. Dr. Jekyll walked into the room, his usual 'charms' overflowing. "Such a delightful sight. Oh, but please, don't stop on my account. I'm still in the process of getting things ready. Please, continue as you were." The first one to talk was the one with a gag on his mouth, which when taken off revealed a rather normal mouth. He bowed "Greetings, Alexandre Roi of Farway, you may call me Prince Tricky Oberon, son of William Oberonson, son of The Urking Oberon, and King of Frogs. It's a delight." He straightened his jacket and removed his hat before facing the rest of the Jaegers. "As for the rest it's lovely to meet you all as well, and forgive me if my memory is failing already, but I'm certain it will be all the more lovely once I get your names." Some of the people gave their names, like the young man Lachlan, or the woman Ellie and her now identified raven Cory. Although that seemed not everyone was playing along. He certainly didn't see a reason to give his, so he didn't fault them "And what about you?" Lucine asked, turning to the cat girl who had so perfectly hit a sour spot not long ago. "Should we call you Fluffy or something? Do you need a collar with a fish-shaped name tag on it?" "You'll have to do a few things before you get to put a collar on me. But if you put in the work, you can call me an-y-thing-you-like. Most settle on 'Mommy' after a while. I'm sure you'll come around too puppy dog." Oh no. It was getting weird. At least there were no kids that needed their innocent ears protected. Things went from nice to uncomfortable in less than five minutes. Had to be some sort of record. Frankly, he wanted to get outta here. At least he had the perfect excuse. "Eric, if you aren't ready yet, then I'm going to get some breakfast," Sieg suddenly spoke up, standing as he did. "We both know among my many faults, one of my biggest is an inability to properly listen on an empty stomach," That was a side effect from being mutated from a dragon. He never had such a big appetite when he was human. "Does anyone else want breakfast? I'll bring some food back with me if so," he asked as he went to the door. "If you want something specific though, it might be better if you get it yourself. I'm no cook," Perfect escape plan.

  5. Hey, I'm a shounen. Hooray! With my luck you know what I summon.
  6. It was still dark when Raynor woke up. His chest hurt, thought not as much as he thought it would. It seemed he was fully dressed, and no bandages clung to his body, so they didn't take off his shirt. Healing magic was real useful, it seemed. He stood up quietly, doing his best not to wake up anyone else in the camp. He could see Gojira was still asleep, nice and patched up. That was good. Still, he had fell in battle. Not even late into the battle either, but near the beginning. He couldn't blame anyone else for this. He had just been healed, and he fell, like some sort of chump. His training had to be lacking, that was the only explanation he had. It wasn't like he was able to sleep anyways... He quietly stood up, grabbing a lance and heading outside, making sure not to wake up either the lizard that was sleeping soundly, or anyone else for that matter. Training in the Forest The man gripped his lance, taking a stance he had practiced countless times in the past, going through motions so memorized they his body did it nearly automatically. The wind hissed as the lance cut through the air, the man visualizing an opponent in front of him. He stabbed at weak points, moved back when before he was countered, and was soon almost performing a dance with his lance, moving deftly around in a circle. He made sure to focus extra carefully where he was stabbing. It was something he needed to stay on top of. With his one eye, his depth perception was shot, making him rely on memory to help him figure out how far his weapon would go with each thrust. He needed to be better, he needed to be stronger. He knew what he was. A great warrior, that was indeed true, but it wasn't like he had a natural talent. In fact, he had a disability actively hampering his battle prowess. These people accepted a perceived burden, and he would do his damnest to make sure that he was useful to them. He wouldn't let any of them fall... His training lasted through out the entire night, the sun soon rising into the sky. Still he trained. It wasn't enough, it would never be enough, not while he still fell like he did. Soon, everyone woke up, including Gojira. The mount seemed worried for his rider, but Raynor brushed off the concern. Now wasn't the time to become soft. Eventually, they got everything packed, and they had to cross the river. That wasn't as easy for Gojira. He was wary of the water, something that Raynor knew was his own fault. He never trained the lizard in the water, it was always on the land. However, with some coaxing, Gojira took to the water like some overgrown alligator and soon enjoyed swimming... so much so Raynor had to wrestle his own mount out of the water to join the others. As they traveled, Raynor kept to the back of the group, his tome opened. He sat on Gojira cross legged as he read the words and did his best to fire small orbs to the sides, away from the groups. He would get this down... he would get stronger...
  7. Shiro followed the small tunnel further and further into the underground, his only company a rat that insisted on following him. He had no clue where this was going, nor how long it would go on for. It soon became dark, so dark that even his eyes couldn't see what was right in front of him. He had to slow down his walk and keep a hand on the wall at all times, just to make sure he would trip, or fall down a sudden hole. Finally though, he came to the end, which he only realized because he ran into the wall. Well... it wasn't a wall per say. He wasn't sure what the wall was made of, but he could tell what he hit was made of wood. Feeling around, he could feel a handle of sort. A wooden door? Looked like they were getting somewhere. He began to tug and push at the door, but sadly, it was no use. The door was stuck tight. However... He turned around to head back, this time moving faster. For once, that fox princess would be useful, he just needed to get to her. The door was made of wood, and wood burned. Not only that, but Sienna could make fire. This was too perfect.
  8. Kazo wasn't sure what he expected. Trying to arm-sword battle with a legendary obviously wasn't going to end well for him. He was hit in the chest, and while it didn't cut, it hit like a runaway Tauros. He was pushed back, the pain in his chest screaming out to him. Still, he caught himself before he fell to the ground. Mac had ran in to attack, and she was easily overpowered. Zekrom was so much stronger than anyone else they had fought so far! "That's not all I hope!" Zekrom bellowed out his challenge. "This isn't all at all!" Ari shouted back in defiance, charging at the legend. Kazo couldn't let the little guy rush in all on his own. He ran towards Zekrom, leaping up into the air and diving down, hardening his head and hoping to crash into the legendary. Denku stood up, his vision finally clearing as his mind cleared itself from the confusion. He could see Easter hand everything under control, however, it didn't seem like that was the case for Brooke, who had slipped out of her giant flaming armor, leaving herself wide open for an attack from her icy opponent. Denku wasn't going to let that happen, at least not without a fight. He fired up his jets once more, flying across the bubble, drawing his fist back. Dark energy swirled around his fist as he raced against the clock, trying to close the distance and help Brook. It almost felt like time was slowing down as he threw forward his fist, firing a Dark Pulse at the Cloyster. He only hoped that he made it in time.
  9. The air was cold as night fell over the city, the rain lightly pouring from the sky. Everyone in the small village in Setsu was locked in their houses, afraid that another bandit attack would ravage the small village. Unbeknownst to them, however, they would never be bothered by the bandits again, all thanks to the stranger walking in the rain. The cloak covering his body was well worn, covered in signs of clumsy patch jobs. He might need a new one soon, but he knew he didn't have the money to get one, not when food was more important. He found the tavern and entered quietly, the establishment empty, likely from the nonexistent threat of bandits. However, there was a man behind the counter, probably here to appease the bandits when they came. The stranger wasn't sure if he would be confused as such a bandit, but there was a surefire way to make sure he wasn't. He reached into his cloak, pulling out the last of his coin. He would have to find some sort of odd job to get his funds back up. Of course, if he forced people to pay him for helping them, he would never have to worry about money again, but... that wasn't what he was here for. He wasn't someone that was worth showering with praises or money, which is why he didn't even tell the village he had saved them. They would find out when a brave soul ventured into the forest and find nothing but ashes at the old bandit fortress. Placing the coins on the counter, he sat down in one of the seats, and soon he had a modest meal and a mug of alcohol placed in front of him. The stranger dug into the plate. He had to say, Setsu cooking was much more modest than back at his home country, but it still was delicious never the less. He took a swig of alcohol. He had hoped maybe this time when he took a drink he'd feel the burning sensation in his mouth and going down his throat. Perhaps this time his inhibitions would be released and he'd feel something. Nothing. The stranger looked down at his mug, looking at the contents and sighing to himself. Even the simple pleasure of alcohol didn't reach him any more. He reached back some and adjusted the cloak he wore, getting ready to leave. "You know... it's rude to just leave." a voice said on the stranger's left side. The quiet man turned as the gentleman began to pour him another drink. "Especially when you're being offered a drink. I must say, you are a difficult man to locate... Sieg of Epoch." Sieg looked blankly at the man, processing what he said. How long had it been since someone called him by his name? How did he even know his name? "... Who are you?" He asked, watching the man pour the drink. "Professor Eric Jekyll." he said with confidence, adjusting his glasses slightly. "I don't expect you to know me, but I do know quite a bit about you, Sieg. Befell a dragon and then bathed within its blood. A daring feat for one such as yourself." Sieg snorted a little. "It wasn't as grand as you claim," He sighed as he took a drink. "Still, for you to find me all the way in Setsu... Well, you must either be a big fan or desperate for something," "Oh but of course it wasn't..." Eric adjusted his glasses again, a glare appearing across them. "...but that's what you want them to know..." A swift silence was met between them before he continued. "I want you, Sieg of Epoch, to join me and my organization. We specialize in keeping Grimm safe. And someone of your 'artificial' abilities could be needed." "Keeping Grimm safe?" Sieg asked, his own eyes narrowing. "What, are you planning on taking on the other dragons? Lemme tell you from experience, don't. Can't guarantee anyone will survive, even with a supposed 'Dragon Slayer' helping you," "Perhaps, but perhaps you think too lightly of us." Eric only laughed. "But you think too small, or rather, only focused on just dragons. We are visionaries... we look towards the future, planning to keep Grimm safe no matter what sacrifices are made..." he stopped, giving Sieg quite the death glare. Sieg paused, mulling over what he was told. "So, this isn't some fool's errand. You want to protect all of Grimm?" He looked down at his glass. "... That's quite a lofty goal... One I have to admit holds some appeal," "Indeed." Eric nodded, adjusting his glasses once more. "I figured someone of your nature would think so. So, do we have an accord, Sieg of Epoch?" That was two years ago. Slowly but surely, the professor built up A.R.C.H., gaining new members and solving more and more problems. Sieg, however, hadn't actually met any of the new blood. He was often sent on months long missions, taking out things ranging from out bandit camps, to things like large monsters. It wasn't the safest of jobs, nor did it give him glory, but he didn't wish for either of those things. It was a honest living, and it kept him fed. Still, he was informed today was the day that he would meet the others that Eric had gathered. He would have to work in a team now. Would they know of him and his supposed feats? He hoped not. Could he even work with a team? He had never tried before, but he was going to be thrust into this with no prep. He only hoped he would do a good job. The morning alarm didn't annoy him, after two years, it was something one got used to. He got out of bed, getting ready for the day. He paused before leaving however, and looked at his trusty cloak. He didn't need it. He was going to be part of this team, they needed to know what he was. But... Quickly, he threw on the cloak, covering his whole body and headed to the meeting room. It seemed that he was the first one there. He took his seat and quietly waited. Time to see what sort of people Eric managed to gather.
  10. Lancer watched as Saber took her staff head on, grinning as the ground caved around them. Saber managed to stand his ground and push back, sending her away from her opponent while also backing away. He then sent some sort energy wave at her. "A man of faith, such as myself, would never dare attack a woman sexually. I see you as a worthy opponent, mi amor!" He explained as he fired the beam. "That being said, are you free later?" Lancer took her staff, landing on the ground before spinning the staff like a propeller in front of her, the staff meeting the energy wave head on and dissipating it. "Well, that depends on how things go between our masters, doesn't it?" she asked as she stopped spinning her staff and dashed at Saber. She held her staff much like a spear, using its longer reach to swiftly swing at his left side, all while keeping herself out of his sword's reach. "I don't know what this is about a cheat of a family, but I'm not weak like the rest of them." Ciel watched as Misaki launched her next attack, nodding a little to herself, taking note exactly what and how Misaki was doing her magic. The spears fell towards the ground, and Ciel snapped her fingers. The vines wrapped around the tree shuddered, and the deftly moved, using the tree as a shield from the spears. With another snap, the vines then redirected the tree, slamming it on top of the skeleton warrior. At least she hoped they did, she wasn't a hundred percent sure the plan succeeded. "Well, you certainly are more straightforward than the rest of them. Tell me, is any of your family hiding somewhere around here to shoot me in the back while I'm not looking?" She half taunted, half asked as she watched for Misaki's reaction. When Souta ran outside, he could see that the parking lot was turned into a warzone, the place littered with craters. Caster was firing off magic balls of energy from his staff that Berserker mindlessly charged through, yelling like the mad man he was. He swung his hammer, only for it to meet Rider's sword, the collision of the two weapons causing a small shockwave to rock the area. Caster then leapt on Rider's shoulder, leaping off of them as the green haired lad flew through the air, pointing his staff downwards at Berserker's face and firing a magic blast point blank into its face. The giant of a man backed up, roaring in pain before Rider dashed forward, letting out a battle cry as he stabbed his sword straight into the man's chest. The sword cut its way inside like a hot knife would cut through butter, piercing the servant's heart. The giant roared once more, before his eyes closed, and he fell backwards, landing on the ground with a massive boom. "Now miss..." Astoria looked up at Archer. He was here now, he'd get her out of this problem! "...I ain't sure who this feller is, or what bad blood yall have. But I ain't about to cause a shoot out in an establishment such as this." Astoria groaned in frustration, which caused Arash to chuckled a little. However, Archer then gave the man a deathly glare. "At least not unprovoked." Arash didn't say anything in the presence of the glare. He didn't want to seem threatening. "Where are my manners?" He grinned, taking his hand off of his weapon and extending his arm towards Arash. "The name's Archer." He glanced back to Astoria. "All said and done, me and my associate should be headin' out." Arash grinned, reaching out and shaking Archer's hand. "Gotta go already? Well, I guess that can't be helped. Just take care of Astoria, okay? She acts tough, but she gets over her head pretty easily," "You sure you won't shoot him?" Astoria muttered. She looked up, sighing to herself. "Well, since you know I have Archer, you better at least tell me who you summoned in exchange," She said. "That's only fair, right?" She looked around for anyone that could vaguely look like a servant. "I suppose you're right," Arash stated, letting go of Archer's hand. "I summoned Assassin. He didn't want to come into the place. Something about alcohol not being good for a warrior's body. I... I don't think Heroic Spirits are affected by that kinda thing though...," He muttered as he scratched his cheek. "How interesting," Astoria stated, obviously not interested. "Anyways, Archer and I should get going now!" She said as she grabbed Archer's hand and did her best to drag Archer outside. Once outside, she sighed to herself. "I can't believe he got tangled up in all this... even in a Holy War I can't away from him. Can tonight get any worse?" The sound of a sudden resounding boom filled the air, Astoria's head snapping up. "What was that?!" "Seems like there's a fight at the nearby mall," A voice piped up from above. Sitting on the roof of the establishment was Assassin. "If you want some action tonight, it doesn't seem like the fighting's over just yet,"
  11. "I'm freeeee! Woooohoooo!" Indeed, they had freed the troublesome archer. "thaaaanks guys! Man, I thought I was going to be stuck under there forever." Suddenly the human went over and hugged Shiro. As in touched him with her human hands, wrapping them around the frog man, constricting his movements, making him unable to flee. This wasn't good, not good at all. He could feel something rising up in his body he hadn't felt in a long time: pure, unadulterated panic. He began to try to wiggle out of her grasp, just to try to get away from her... Thankfully, she let go of him, a blessing in an otherwise cruel moment. He took a minute to back away from the group, trying to carefully catch his breath without the others noticing. He quickly collected himself as he forced the feeling back down deep inside. He had to remain calm and rational, especially with the fox nearby. "Hey, hey, hey guys. Come look." "A trap door... Good find, Tsetseg." The two females were gathered around a trapdoor of some sort with a ladder heading downwards. They didn't seem to be heading in though, so Shiro took the initiative. Squeezing pass them, he climbed down the ladder, descending into the darkness below. It took a little bit, but he got to the bottom. It was darker than night in this tunnel. In his frog form, he could probably see even in this darkness, but as he felt around the tunnel, it seemed barely tall enough for him, let alone his frog form. "It's a tunnel!" He called up to the group above. "I can't tell where it heads to or even where it ends... I'm going to check it out!" With that, the frog walked deeper into the tunnel, his guard up in case anything bad happened.
  12. Something about that roar Zekrom did felt... draining, as if he was getting weaker. Kazo didn't understand why this was happening, but this just meant he would have to hit smarter, not harder. Ari did a roar as well, and Kazo could only hope that it also weakened the legendary that stood before them, even if only slightly. Still, he had no time to think on that as Zekrom swung one of his arms at Kazo, the dirt dragon recognizing the move as an attack he had learned less than a day ago. He could just dodge the attack with a Dig or even by moving, but it would be better if he could stall the massive dragon that stood before him, even if only for a second. So instead of dodging, he stood his ground, and swung his arm using Slash, going to intercept Zekrom's attack, and hopefully, like two swords, the attack would clash against each other. However, his body wasn't made of steel, despite his blood being full of fire, so he could only hope his arm would withstand the clash. Denku held on for dear life, letting his teeth dig into his opponent. The electricity arched between his fangs and into his opponent. He felt the opponent spasm, but like a Snubbull, he absolutely refused to let go until the body went limp and fell to the ground. Denku panted, his vision still swimming. The confusion was wearing off, and the burst of clarity made him realize just how stupidly he had fought. He needed to keep in temper in check, or his next few fights wouldn't be pleasant to go through. He let his vision finally settle and he slowly sat up, looking around, surveying the surroundings and seeing if everyone else was doing okay.
  13. The two leaders listened in closely as everyone voiced their questions and concerns. Some had straight forward answers, and others, not so much. However, there was one that definitely stood out in the sea of questions, and was something they needed to address with great care. First however... "A map of the gangs' territories?" Blues pulled up a holographic keyboard, typing away at it. "Give me to the end of the meeting, I should be able to make a semi-accurate map," He muttered as he typed away. Mr. E shook his head and walked over to Jet, placing a hand on his shoulder and leaning down to be level with him. "There are two things you gotta do if he doesn't cooperate," Mr. E explained. "And I want you to listen closely, this is very important," He held up his hand in front of Jet, the palm open. "If you challenge him like Shannon says and you fail, take a breath to calm yourself. Then clench up your butt, and let your heart cry out, saying 'Get your head out of your ass!' as you throw a punch right into his big goofy face, okay?" Mr. E made a fist to put emphasis on that point. "And then after that, just keep looking for signs of the cult," The mage then looked over to Shannon. "Well, I certainly do believe telling you not to underestimate him won't exactly work. I will just say, watch out for his fiery passion and his calm soul. That combination has taken on every challenge and succeeded thus far," Then came the hardest part. They had to convince the Hearthome team about their mission. It wasn't as easy as Kyouji, Dread Knight wasn't a meathead like the duel champ, it would take a lot to convince him of their righteousness. However, before he could give an answer, Blues looked over. "Your concerns aren't unfounded," Blues admitted. "Dread Knight probably will not join you, but at this moment, it's better to aim for the stars and miss than it is to lay on the ground and do nothing. He most likely won't attack you all. Raijin does bring up a good point, however. Your goals do likely align, and he might give you some important hints, even if he doesn't mean to," He then tapped a few buttons on the keyboard. "If he doesn't join you, then you keep looking for any sign of the cult. In fact, if you want, you could split into two groups, one to search for the cultists, and one for Dread Knight," At this moment, the duel disks of Team Hearthome beeped, and if they were to check them, they'd find a map of the city, with a look of different colors separating the areas, likely their map they were promised. "Well, that's all we got time for now!" Mr. E announced as he clapped his hands to get everyone's attention. As he did, Barbatos walked up, placing small bento boxes in front of the members. "Here's some boxed lunches that Barbatos kindly took the time to make for you all, but in case that isn't enough," Mr. E walked over to Shannon, handing her a black credit card. He then spun around, handing Octavia a white one. "If you need something, these cards should help. Don't spend them all in one place~!" He clapped again. "Good luck to you all today!" And so the group was divided again, this time between two vehicles. The team headed to Turbo City were leaded to an a big RV. There were places to sit, a TV, a bedroom, even a bathroom. In the very back, the D-Wheels were strapped against the wall so they wouldn't fall over. Gil sat up front, sitting at the driver's seat. "Well, everyone get comfortable!" When everyone was seated, he took off, humming as they left for the big city. After about an hour of driving, they came to the outskirts of the city. "That's as far as I go," Gil said. "I'll be waiting for you here, good luck with your mission!" With that, the back of the RV folded ope, creating a ramp for the signs to drive their D-Wheels off of. Gil start to blast some music, waiting for the group to go. Zirco stood up quickly, walking over to his D-Wheel, starting it up and looking over to the city. It was a mess of roads, some rising high in the sky in a twisted maze. With a grin, Zirco started up his D-Wheel and took off. Time to find Kyouji. As for Hearthome, they were stuffed into Barbatos's truck again, some inside the cab, some in the bed of the truck. The driver was quiet as they drove, it also taking about an hour to get there. Soon, they came to the city, the sky seemingly turning darker just by approaching the city. The atmosphere was much heavier compared to the lightheartedness of the prison. Barbatos stopped in front of a store, with a bank across the street. "We're here. I'll be here, waiting for you all," Barbatos said as he turned off the truck and leaned back, closing his eyes.

  15. "How did this even happen?" Shiro looked up to see Edrick had entered the room, asking the question everyone probably wanted to know. Shiro turned to look at trapped girl, curious to hear how she would justify this. "Well, see, see. I was just walking in here and then I opened the door - I've been very good at opening doors - and then I went in here to explore some more. But then - then! I stepped in here and there was a clicky noise and then this fell on me and now I can't get ooooouuuuuuuuuttttt!" Giving up for a moment, the girl simply sighed saying, "I'm a net now." "Then can we use you to catch fish?" Shiro asked, looking around the room. It was far too cramped in here to transform, and the net was heavier than what he expected a mere net to weigh. Perhaps they would have to cut their losses and just leave Tsetseg here. She was sure to be happy with her rat friend for the time she'd be alive. Before he could suggest this, however, a new voice rang in. "Well, this is quite the pickle isn't it?" It seemed the little princess had entered the room. Shiro took his time to bow to her. After all, age mattered not when it came to authority and hierarchy. "You know, it probably would be easier if we just lift one side of the net and let her crawl out. Much easier than trying to lift the whole heavy thing up at least." Ah... yes, that did make things simpler. It seemed today was in fact making the frog dumber after all. "Uh... Ok... Shiro... Edrick... One more time, but this time... Just lift this side." The fox princess asked of them, to which Shiro complied, if only to get this over with faster. He began to lift once more, hoping the three of them could overcome this.

  17. "I want...to fight the Legends. All of them. I want to get stronger and stronger. But to do that...I have to do it on my own. I gotta keep traveling and facing all sorts of Legends. So, I guess....sorry Z-Zekrom, I don't think I can do that." Kazo wasn't really surprised by this, and in some way, she was right. That was what was best for her. Not him though. He didn't want something like that. His ideal self laid elsewhere. The dragon looked over to Zekrom, wondering what his answer would be. "WONDROUS!" Turns out there was nothing to worry about. "Such strong emotion! Such powerful ideals! I had feared that the people of this era have lost their way. But it seems you children are still living life the way I intended!" Kazo had to try not to laugh at that one. He highly doubted that the dragon being dragged around by small kids was the ideal way to live. The legend began to pace back and forth along the cave. "Yes, there is a great foe to face. And it's good there are warriors who will stand up to them." He stopped abruptly, turning to the group and looking over them. "But, and I hate to admit this, you are weak in body despite your ideals." He nodded to himself, and one of his arms crackled with electricity. "How about you show me what you've got, right here, right now. Don't hold anything back!" Yeah, hold anything back. Because that was the smartest thing to do when facing a legend. "I want to feel the strength of your hearts!" Kazo rolled his shoulder and began to hop in place, loosing up his body and warming up a little. Since he wasn't being tossed in right away, a small warm up couldn't hurt. After a few seconds of warming up, he ran forward, rushing straight at Zekrom. Of course, everyone knew he couldn't beat Zekrom in a test of raw strength, so when he got close to the dragon, he leaped high into the air, soaring over Zekrom's head and swan diving into the dirt behind him, digging under the ground. Quickly, he dug to the right side of Zekrom and sprung out of the dirt, throwing a punch at the legend's side. "Ha...hahaha!" the Dragalge's laugh was so distorted, like they were underwater... well, they were underwater, but it was like they were in the water, and not in a bubble. "You tried soooo hard. But it was useless!" The Dragalge kicked Denku, causing the Pupitar to groan out in pain. "Maybe next time, ha!" They were likely to kick again... with that knowledge, Denku placed his hands on the floor, trying his luck with his jets again. They weren't as powerful as usual, making him shoot up only a little higher than the Dragalge was tall. Then, twisting his body to where he felt the kick, Denku let himself drop, opening his mouth with now sparked with electricity, ready to bite on the first flesh he felt.
  18. The mission parameters were simple. Find the Spirits and destroy them. There wasn't even a Champion among this ragtag group of pathetic meatbags, and yet the most powerful digimon in the digital war was being overwhelmed by these little pests! This couldn't stand... this wouldn't stand! If only he knew how right he was. "Okay, everyone, try to avoid being on its sights for too long! Don't let it try to hit all of us at once!" The rock that Frimon and Touch launched bounced off the mighty digimon, drawing its attention. It turned its head, opening its mouth to roar... only to be struck in the face by the trap Chris had launched. The sound of rock pounding on metal was heard, and the sound of glass breaking sounded through the room. Although the trap didn't knock over the monster like Conner had hoped, it seemed to have broken its right eye, effectively blinding that eye. Despite this blindness, however, the machine did notice that Mackenzie was running around its legs, although it wasn't sure what the human was planning to do. However, before it could even think to go to attack her, Agunimon zipped to its face, the human Digimon hybrid's fists ignited with fire as he assaulted the machine's face with a flurry of punches. While they weren't doing too much damage individually, they were very distracting to the beast. "Hey, chicken walker! Over here!" A human insulted Machinedramon. How arrogant of her! The machine was so caught up in thoughts of vengeance that at first, it didn't realize that the second it took a step forward, the trip string did its job, causing the monster to fall to the floor. "Alright, time for a final touch!" Agunimon landed on the left side of the Machinedramon and reached out, his mind racing as a finishing move formulated in his brain. A long, thin strip of flame appeared in his hand, which he grasped, much like a spear. "Gáe Lasair!" Agunimon called out as he threw the fire spear, the weapon flying through the air and penetrating through the machine's other eye. Machinedramon let out a giant roar of pain, struggling to get back up, now completely blinded. "I WILL NOT ALLOW MYSELF TO FAIL IN MY MISSION!" Machinedramon roared, both his rage and his physical blindness causing him to miss the fact that a white blur suddenly flew over it from the hallway, landing on the altar at high speeds. "I WILL DESTROY YOU AL---!" Its mechanical, rage filled rant was cut short by the digimon suddenly splitting into two, the creature having been cleanly cut down the center. The remains fell to the sides, leaving a gap inbetween them, and within that gap was another one of those strange blank devices... Mr. Henderson let out a sigh, all the adrenaline leaving his body. It took almost all he had to not fall to his knees in relief. They managed to survive a Machinedramon... although there was one important detail left hanging. The teacher turned to the altar, looking to the white cloaked figure standing there. "So, what do we call the guy that helped us out?" The teacher asked. "Master!" Zubamon called out excitedly, rushing over to the figure. Ludomon turned back into his normal self, sitting on Mr. Henderson's shoulder. "Oh my god, Zubamon really is being trained by the Knight of the Wind...," He muttered to himself. Said knight let out a soft chuckle as he watched the small sword digimon walk up to him. "You did a good job," The knight's voice was kind was he reached out, patting Zubamon with a golden wolf head instead of a hand. Mr. Henderson noticed that detail right away and took a step back. "Wait... are you a Royal Knight?" Mr. Henderson asked, caution in his voice as he clenched his fists, a few bad memories returning to him. The figured shook his head. "No, I am a similar digimon to one of their members, but I am not a Royal Knight," It took off its cloak, revealing its form to the group. "I am Omnimon Alter-S, but you may just refer to me as Omnimon, or the Knight of the Wind. It seems to be a popular nickname for me," the digimon explained. Mr. Henderson nodded before continuing. "Alright then, Omnimon. You wouldn't happen to know a way back to the Real World, would you?" Mr. Henderson asked. "I'm not sure how my students and I were pulled to the Digital World, but here we are, and I'd like them to get back before they're dragged into some sort of Digidestined nonsense," There was a quiet pause before Omnimon spoke again. "You're mistaken. You're not in the Digital World," He said slowly, trying to break the news gently to the group. "W-wait... Digital World, Real World? What are you talking about?" Agunimon piped up, walked up to stand next to Mr. Henderson. The teacher turned to the digimon and held up a hand to slow down the questions. "I'll explain in a bit. This... this needs sorted out first," The teacher turned back to the Knight of the Wind. "What do you mean, we're not in the Digital World? This isn't the same school we were in, and there are Digimon. So exactly how isn't this the Digital World?" "... It happened about a week ago," Omnimon explained. "No one knows how, but... the Real World and the Digital World have merged together, fusing into one plane of existence," "I-I'm sorry, what?" The teacher was obviously stunned. "What does that mean?!" Agunimon asked. "In the simplest terms, two parallel universes have fused together. That's why there are digimon here now and why our school turned into a temple out of Indiana Jones," Mr. Henderson explained. "Wait, so our families were outside the school dealing with these... monsters?!" Agunimon's voice raised, panic in his voice, before pausing. "Um... n-no offense to anyone in this room that isn't human...," "I don't believe so...," Omnimon stated. "Zubamon and I have been looking around this town for any signs of life... the town outside... it's a complete ghost town. There's no signs of any struggle, but... there's no signs that anyone lived here, outside of the houses," Before anyone can panic, the Omnimon held up his dinosaur hand. "That does not mean your families are not safe. It might be likely that a Royal Knight or one of the Olympos XII found them, and directed them towards the safe haven," "Safe haven? What safe haven?" Agunimon pressed. Omni sighed, holding out his wolf hand. In its mouth was a small device, one that began to project a hologram of a map of the United States. "You see, the entire world has become dangerous for both humans and Digimon. As such, the Royal Knights and Olympos XII have set up a safe area for everyone. However... it's all the way over here," The digimon pointed to the state of California. "You'll have to make it across the country if you want to get to safety," "Great, just great... we have to get to California from Pennsylvania on foot," Mr. Henderson muttered. He turned to the group of kids. "Well, if you all have questions... now the time to ask, I suppose," "I... I think I need a moment...," Agunimon muttered as he broke away from the group, walking to the entrance and leaning against the wall. It seemed he was a bit overwhelmed with all this information. And to make matters worse... "I'm sorry child, but here is the unpleasant part. At the very least, it will not be as bad as what happened to your friend since you were not in this form for as long," Suddenly, flecks of data began to shed from the Agunimon's body, causing the Digimon to fall to his knees. It felt like his skin was on fire as the form was ripped away from him, causing Conner to grit his teeth, trying his best not to cry out in pain. As the cocoon of data surrounded him, however, tears were flowing from his face, and a cry of pain escaped his lips. When the cocoon faded, he was back into his human form, and he fell over, curling up a little as he tried and failed to block out the pain he was feeling. It was like his blood was on fire! OOC
  19. Shiro looked the wall, feeling all the teachings were suddenly null, in fact, after a few seconds, he felt quite dull. Scrawled on the wall, standing tall, was the letter A. What was today? Was it so tiring that his knowledge was expiring? "A... That... That's all I can see..." The fox said, to which Shiro agreed, in fact, that was the only thing it could be. Now that they were on track, Shiro turned to head back, report ready before he heard a loud clack! "Siiiiieeeeennnnaaaaa! Shiiiiiiirrrooooooooo! Heeeeeeeeellllllllppppp!" Tsetseg called with a shout, the sound nearly making Shiro pout. All was going well, but the archer found trouble, indeed, that seemed to be the one skill she did accel. In the next room, there was a net, one that caught Tsetseg, some sort of trap, he'd bet. The fox ran over with a speed quite swift, and the net she tried to lift. "Agh... Shiro, can I get a little assistance? " The fox asked with a plead. Shiro sighed, he had to help, lest he break his creed. Like the wind, Shiro was at their side to help the woman pinned. He did his best to try to lift, however, strength was not his gift. He only hoped with the power of two, they could lift this net that was stuck like glue.
  20. "You don't seem the same. You're certainly not as strong as them." Thankfully, Zekrom believed them, even if the reason why was a bit disheartening. "Yes, you are good people. Your values are strong, and noble...I like it!" he declared, clapping Kazo on the shoulders, giving a light squeeze and shaking him lightly. "You know, I've only been walking around for a few weeks now. I've been thinking I should gather some followers. Just like the old days, when things were more ideal." He let go of Kazo with one hand and stretched his arm towards the other two. "Well, what do you think, want to be the first of my new followers?" That... well, that wasn't something Kazo was expecting. Were they just offered to become a follower of Zekrom? What did that even mean? He didn't even know but it sounded so cool! "A-are you serious?" Ari stammered. "That sounds...awesome! Does that mean I might learn to become super cool and strong like a legendary is?! Maybe as strong as Entei!" "That... that really sounds cool," Kazo admitted. He didn't even know what to say. He had to slow down a little, process all of this. A legendary had just offered them to become his followers. And not just any legendary, but a long lost one, the legendary dragon of ideals! This was a once in an life time opportunity, one that anyone should jump on, and under normal circumstances, he totally would! But they weren't under normal circumstances. The world was in danger, and the legends were barely equipped to fight it. He needed to keep his head on... he just hoped he wasn't ruining this chance. "I... well, doing that would be amazing, but, we have a big problem going on right now, and I think we need to take care of that first. It's just... something that needs taken care of you know? But after it's all said and done, I don't mind joining ya," Denku's vision wasn't doing so well, hell, he wasn't doing so well. He was seeing three of everything, and they were swirling around. He could barely stand up, feeling like he could tip over at any second. He tried to steady himself, but someone struck him in the side, sending him flying across the bubble, bouncing across the ground as he grunted in pain. He couldn't even tell from what direction the attack came or which way he needed to go now. He fought against his body, forcing himself to slowly get back onto his feet. He saw some sort of figure that looked like it maybe attacked, so he fired off the ol' reliable jets to send him flying across the bubble... except his jets weren't reliable when he was in this bad of shape, and after one fart of an air blast, he fell back onto the floor, right back on his face. The second this confusion wore off, he was going to tear this guy a new one...
  21. Zirco wasn't sure what he was looking at. Some sort of monster with a face not even a mother could love, something that a child would come up with, almost like a boogeyman or something. It sent chills down his spine, and he didn't like it at all. He held his duel disk in front of him, almost hoping the light would drive it away. He didn't like this feeling, not one bit. It reminded him far too much of his days back in the experiment. He was ready to bolt, before looking over across the room. Hotaru was laying there, unaware of everything going on around her. If he left, would this creature go after her? That wasn't something he could really do now, could he? With a sigh, he attached the duel disk to his arm, holding it up like a wrist mounted sword as he grabbed a pillow, holding it up like a shield. "Alright ugly, let's do this!" He called out, leaping into the air and plummeting at the monster. However, before he could make contact, he could feel his consciousness slip away from him, and his vision went black as he crashed into the floor. The monster looked over the body, a wide malicious grin spreading over its face as it reached over to devour the boy that laid prone in front of him. However, before it could get any farther, the door opened slowly, drawing the monster's attention. Mr. E stepped into the room, sighing to himself. At the Garden's Edge "You poor child... you were not ready," He muttered. "Those scientists, so desperate for their pay and their goals failed to see just how much you were suffering...," He walked slowly towards her, each of his footsteps making not a sound, instead, leaving behind small drops of energy, ones that bloomed into beautiful, otherworldly flowers, slowly changing into every color of the rainbow. As he passed the boogeyman, the flowers began to bloom around it, covering it entirely, until it was nothing but a pile of those beautiful flowers. He reached down, touching her head and closing his eyes, using his magic to reach deep into her subconscious, to find the young girl trapped in a nightmare. In the real world, a strange phenomenon was occurring. The spirits, the ghosts, whatever people wanted to call them, started to glow, brightly becoming every color under the rainbow, until they exploded into flower petals, ones that were carried away in the wind... after that, the prison had become quiet. For the rest of the night... nothing else happened, in fact, it was like nothing had happened in the first place at all. 8:00 AM That morning, a loud sound resounded through out each room to wake up the occupants. Zirco himself nearly fell out of bed, groaning to himself. Was... was last night a nightmare? He shook his head and stood up, looking over to the bed next to him... it was empty. Was Hotaru already up...? Or did she...? He didn't want to think of it... so many people were leaving already. As soon as they were all ready, they were lead downstairs, where a breakfast as big as yesterday's waited for them, and sitting at the table was Blues, waiting for them, a plate of eaten food in front of him. "Good morning," He said. "Please, sit down. I'll explain what we're doing today as you all eat," When everyone had gotten food and sat down, Blues stood up, walking back as a holographic map of the Greater Domino Area came on screen. "Today, we're going to be doing the leg work, looking for those blood ritualists," The map itself zoomed into two different cities. "The two cities we're tackling are Turbo City and Hearthome," "Let's talk about Turbo first," Mr. E said, gently walking in from the side, and using his staff to point at the screen. "We're planning on sending Shannon, Jet, Tora, and Zirco there. The area is normally well guarded, as we have the current duel champ living there, but since his master, Jack Atlas, has disappeared, Kyouji hasn't been keeping an eye on the area. He won't even return our calls, the poor thing," A picture of a tall man with spiky black hair and a red headband tied around it appeared on screen. He was clad in a blue jacket and pants, a flame design embedded on his legs and the tips on the jacket. He had a wild yet kind grin on his face, one so distinct that it was nearly trademarked. The name Kyouji Ryuu appeared under the picture, showing the group their target. "So, we'll have you four check the area out, and if you meet Kyouji, try to talk some sense into him. I'd say duel him but...," He paused, closing his eyes and thinking. "Well, I don't think that's a duel any of you could win right now," "As for Hearthome, we're sending Kiyoko, Natsumi, Octavia, Raijin," Blues directed the attention back to him as he pointed at the city itself. "Obviously, such a downtrodden and crime ridden city is an easy place to hide things, like blood rituals," He rubbed his chin. "The easiest way to get started is to look for a person known as Dread Knight," A new picture popped up, showing a man in black armor like clothing, and a mask that cover the entire upper half of his face, and a black hood on top of that. Billowing behind him was a long purple scarf. Beneath the picture, the name Dread Knight appeared. "He's a vigilante that protects the city the best he can, and he'll have the most information of any of our contacts," He paused. "I would like it if you could convince him to join our cause, but I doubt he will," "Well, that's today's plans! Any questions?" Mr. E asked. Zirco raised his hand. "... What happened to Hotaru?" He asked, the question leaving the air tense. "... Well, it turned out she wasn't ready, and... we took her away to get treatment. At the rate it was going, she was going to hurt everyone here, and herself," Mr. E admitted. "I'm sure you'll see her again though," He added optimistically. "Any other questions?"
