Playful Apocalypse

As the beast was finally felled, Ada felt the effects of her magic wear off, letting her breathe a sigh of relief... Quickly followed by her falling face-first into the dirt. She was alive. Everyone was alive, if Layne running off to take care of Raynor had anything to do with it. Hopefully. Barely managing to flip herself over onto her back, Ada lifted her hand up in a fist to the other Falcons, grinning weakly. "We made it, guys... We made it through with fewer brushes with death than normal..." Ada lowered her arm with a groan, "Though I may just... nap until Layne gets back..."

I was Sou. The plan for the character was to be sweet and docile for the first half, then super suspicious and antagonistic of the popular monsters in the second half. Insisting they were up to no good, that people shouldn’t trust them. buuuuut I was supposed to be done moving before the event started, but complications came up and my move started about halfway through. I left on Tuesday, but I didn’t have a computer at all on Monday, after finishing up some RP posts. This doesn’t really forgive Sou being a failure, but I’m sorry I wasn’t able to fulfill my role.

Ada barely had time to react after the heal, patting Layne on the shoulder and thank him at the same time as running towards the phantom. She stopped a bit before reaching it to observe the creature's actions and the approaching reinforcements. It seemed like it was now or never, so Ada pulled out a different tome and rushed in, getting right next to the beast as she began to chant with the pages open. When the massive hound looked at her, it would feel immense gravity holding it down, forcing it to watch as Ada fired a condensed blast of dark magic at the boss of the monsters. However, it was not enough to fell the beast. Quickly striking back, Ada nearly fell to her knees again as the attack damaged her, holding on as best she could to keep the effect of the Pressure spell from dissipating. "Alright guys, now! If we don't stop it, they'll just keep coming! Get it while it can't move!"

Shannon woke up early, taking the time to get herself ready. She was glad to have her vanity as she brushed her hair, humming softly. The dark room didn't bother her too much, considering she was used to doing this in that dreary cell she had called home up until the night before. As she dressed herself in a nice suit, she spun back and forth slowly, looking at every angle. Perfect. Always look the part you're playing, after all. A quick glance at the clock told the girl that it was nearly 8 AM, which surprised her. How could someone sleep in like that? Sure, the tests were a bit strenuous at times, but if you're not an early bird, how do you get the worm? Resuming her humming, she left the room peacefully, making sure to close the door as quietly as possible. As she neared the cafeteria, a strange sound, like a man... yelling? Yodelling? Something? sounded out for about 30 seconds, before going quiet again. Curious. Probably Mr. E's weird idea of a joke alarm. Entering the cafeteria, a glance at the clock confirmed that it had just turned 8, so that's likely exactly what it was. Getting a cup of coffee and a bagel, much like the day before, Shannon took her seat and politely greeted Blues, before peacefully enjoying her breakfast, watching as everyone piled in... except Hotaru. She waved to her roommate as she had entered with a smile, motioning for Octavia to sit next to her. She was elated when Octavia did just that, though she only showed a slightly wider smile than normal. Once they were all there, aside from the dreary girl, Blues began. "Today, we're going to be doing the leg work, looking for those blood ritualists," The map itself zoomed into two different cities. "The two cities we're tackling are Turbo City and Hearthome," "We're planning on sending Shannon, Jet, Tora, and Zirco there. The area is normally well guarded, as we have the current duel champ living there, but since his master, Jack Atlas, has disappeared, Kyouji hasn't been keeping an eye on the area. He won't even return our calls, the poor thing, so, we'll have you four check the area out, and if you meet Kyouji, try to talk some sense into him. I'd say duel him but... Well, I don't think that's a duel any of you could win right now," That was well and good, though the choices of companions were... boring, to say the least. Unimpressive, overall. But the more pressing question wa- "... What happened to Hotaru?" He asked, the question leaving the air tense. "... Well, it turned out she wasn't ready, and... we took her away to get treatment. At the rate it was going, she was going to hurt everyone here, and herself," Mr. E admitted. "I'm sure you'll see her again though," He added optimistically. "Any other questions?" "...I see. A pity." Shannon held her smile, but someone near her could notice that she was clinching her fists hard as she spoke, "Well, only those on board should be here, right?" "Y-Yes sir...I-I have one." Jet spoke up, "I-If he doesn't...c-c-cooperate...w-what's the next move?" "Why, we challenge him, of course," Shannon chimed in, "While they may think we won't win... We can at least show our resolve, no? Though, I must say that our dear Mr. E is underestimating us, and losing is not my planned outcome~."

Ada barely managed to pick herself up off of the ground as she heard the battle continue around her. Reaching into her pack with a shaky hand, she pulled out some medicine and popped it into her mouth, her other hand still clutching her side. Working its magic, the wound stopped bleeding almost immediately... but she still felt uneasy. Walking back towards the group, she saw Layne and tried to call out to him, only for her voice to catch in her throat, coughing up some blood. Falling against another tree to her side she panted, clutching her tome tight in case a monster happened upon her. Maybe Layne would see her and help.

The brief respite was much appreciated, as was Layne's healing. With a nod, Ada continued forward, warily looking about. It seemed they were all branching off at this point, but was that really for the best? Before she kept thinking the plan through, she saw a zombie approaching from the west. Glancing about to see if anyone else was around, she produced her tome and headed up to it, initiating combat at a bit of range. While the magic hit its mark, she had failed to notice that the zombie had a bow... And that its retaliation hit her hard. Sprawling backwards, Ada let out a cry, a hole in her side bleeding profusely. "Dammit... This is even worse... than the other times... What the hell...?" Ada muttered as she shot magic back, accidentally putting too much force into her own counter attack. The skeleton was no more, but Ada slumped against the tree nearest her, clutching her side and gritting her teeth. Raynor already fell... She couldn't be like him... She had to live on...!

I've been El because I love her, which is why I just stuck to this cute avi... But Ghirahim is nice and spoopy.

It serves a similar role to Pankratops or that Senka. Weaker removal effect for the most part, but much more proactive. It seems like a really good generic card.

It's a good engine card tbh. Drones, SS this, make this Kagari, get drones/engage back, Kagari becomes Hayate, this revives, make a Link 3. Then you can search widow or drones again, which can ladder or set up further. And hey, this absolutely cements this deck in Fur Hire, because it's a 2-card combo, no Normal Summon, that makes Folgo, provided you turn the Token into Linkuriboh/Link Spider first. There's also stuff like the Tenyi promo Link 3, which can be a easy pop using Drones, BLS Soldier of Chaos if you're into that, Decode if you still run it for some reason... I think you can probably find a way to make Curious with this, but seems like it takes a lot? Link Spider is EARTH, as is Kaina, but then what do you do with Roze, hm... Maybe if you reorder it and use the drones, there's a way to do it with cards like Reprodocus. Drones, make Kagari, get drones back. Drones again, SS Roze, turn Kagari into Hayate, turn token into Link Spider, then... Hrm, just not sure how to grave Roze before this point, without outside help.
