  1. Team Alola, Day 23, Danger Near a Cavelike Area Having been hit by a Thunder Wave the large Skuntank now began to move more the speed one would expect with a person his size. He attempted to swipe at Nani but the girl managed to dodge out of the way. Due in part to the Skuntank taking a Water Gun attack to his face, knocking him backwards as he tried to keep the water from entering his nose and mouth. Still, it seemed to be ready to keep going, and lunged forward to Night Slash Marie...only for his body to seize up due to the paralysis. Then he got blasted off his feet by the Fire Blast and landed on his back. It lay there, twitching, and struggled to get back to his feet. Anger clear in its wild eyes. Team Karaoke, Day 33, Juyu "have you guys ever used this service before? I haven't but I'm sure it's going to be a wild ride." "Can't...say I have." Gwen said, uncertain about this all. How could one Gijinka possibly transport them all in any speedy manner? She hesitantly floated after Nine and Lok. Noticing the tired state of the boy she reached into her bag and brought out a chunk of chocolate wrapped in some kind of leafy wrapping and held it out to him. "Here you go, Lok, this'll wake you up for sure." Kayla muttered something then, about probably won't need that to wake up, and they'd notice she was already inside the basket-like object Quincy held. "Hold...onto the sides." Kayla told them. "Falling off would be bad." Gwen frowned here, but obediently grabbed onto one edge of the basket as she climbed aboard. "So...what exactly is it you do?" She asked Quincy. "I fly! Really, really, fast! Everyone ready? Good!" Quincy said all this without pausing for an answer as she lifted up the handles on the basket. Then, with a sudden start, she took off running. Then, after several dozen feet, jumped into the air and took off at high speeds. Gwen's grip slipped and she started to fall towards the back of the basket, ramming into Nine in the process. "SLOW DOWN!" She shouted out over the wind. "Speed up? Gotcha!" Quincy said and they took off at even greater speeds. Eventually they got into a more steady pace, one that allowed them to actually breath normally, and speak if they so wished. "You should...have warned us." Gwen said, giving Nine a scolding look. Team Showdown, Day 30, Southshore Forest Zygarde watched Taiga for a moment, examining the odd Gijinka who had taken on some sort of leadership role in this fight. Very well. She would see if this girl knew what she was doing. Veronica had attacked Scarlet and the two seemed to be locked in some sort of embrace but that didn't stop Taiga from launching an attack of her own at them. Which meant that Zygarde should feel no qualms about doing so. Standing back up the Legend thrust her arms forward and the ground to the left and right of the pair erupted into a pair of arrows that were sent towards where the two Gijinka were locked in combat. Hopefully that Scizor could find a way out of this grapple in time. Isole shook her head. "You're gonna get Scarlet killed." She muttered towards Taiga. "Guess it's the best chance to hit the Crobat though." So she added her own attack to the mix. Launching a Thunderbolt at the water that Taiga was sending towards the Crobat and electrifying it. Team Mac, Day 22, Ogren "Oh, of course she can. She can have my bowl. You have no reason to complain about that, do you?" She said, turning to the leader of the group of kids, smiling sweetly at him. The boy blushed and muttered something unintelligible before rushing off and bringing the others, who were teasing him the whole way, out of the area. She then turned to Mac, who was still standing on the table and looking rather unsure what to do with herself. "Here you go, sweetie, I already ate so you can have this one." Mac looked down at them, then at the other two. "I...I could have taken them!" She shouted before snatching the bowl, sitting down, and spooning it into her mouth at a rapid pace. The Miltank gave a small laugh behind her hand and turned back towards Ari and Kazo. "And what of you two? Did you eat your fill? You're both so very skinny! I heard you were adventurers of some sort that sounds like an awfully dangerous thing for a group of young Gijinka like yourself. I wonder, what drove you to take up such a risky endeavor? Surely you must have homes to go to." She then brought a hand to her face and gasped. "Oh, I apologize if I struck a nerve. I'm afraid I can be rather nosy at times." Team Neo Not Dark, Day 33, Under the Sea The soldiers seemed to be thrown off by the polite responses from Easter and Denku, and one seemed to be particularly flustered at Easter's words. However it was when Brooke spoke that they gave the most reaction. One of them, whom had been already flustered by Easter, recoiled and took a step back. He seemed concerned that Brooke was about to do something. The other, though, narrowed his eyes at the Emboar. "Threatening us will get you nowhere. Princess, is this brutish woman really some sort of guardian?" "I don't know what that means!" Dora proclaimed happily. "But Brooke is like a big sister! A strong big sister! And Easter is a friendly big sister and and and Denku is a silly big brother!" The two seemed to be rather confused by all this but, with a grunt from one, began to talk among themselves. In the end they decided that the group as a whole at least seemed rather sincere and they ordered the Chinchou outside the bubble to move the floating object along faster and more steadily than Dora had been able to. As they did Dora started to try and climb on Brooke's back, one of the two soldiers tried awkwardly to flirt with Easter, and the other, more serious one, began to question Denku about his "dangerous appearance" and seemed to be skirting around trying to ask him how to look cool, too.
  2. I absolutely hate voting against Sumire but Rin is certainly more my favorite. Man this is a sucky round.

  8. There were a lot of people here. Too many people. At least they weren't paying much attention to her. Usually she'd have gotten looks because of her height by now but it seemed that she was in the midst of some rather eccentric people. It was nice to be able to sit there without worrying. Until... "This is Hotaru, bearer of the Left Wing. I'd do a silly pun, but... it seems like he wouldn't appreciate it," Hotaru jumped a bit at her name being called and tilted her head down farther, obscuring her face more with her bangs. At the mention of a "he" the girl's eyes flicked to the side where Dragonecro was leaning over her shoulder and glaring daggers at the strange man. "You aren't doing anything and you'll never do anything, puny human." Dragonecro said in a low, raspy, yet fierce, voice. Hotaru shifted a bit in her chair and, without thinking, put a hand up on his neck. "I'm...okay." She muttered, forgetting for a moment that other people could hear her talking to the air. Dragonecro snorted and leaned closer, whispering to the girl. "I don't like this man." "You didn't like Tsukiko either." She reminded him. "That's different. She gave me the creeps. He...is wrong." Before Hotaru could think about what he meant by this the dragon shifted gears. "But enough of that, look, we're in a room full of weirdos. We fit in nicely dontcha think?" Then his head snapped up as he, and then Hotaru, noticed the other Dragon standing behind the most vocal of the group. Dragonecro grinned, baring his teeth, and leaned his serpentine neck forwards towards him. "Oh look, a tiny Dragon, isn't that adorable." He growled with a slight hint of challenge. "Don't eat another one..." Hotaru said to him, once more seemingly talking to the air. She finally realized what she was doing and stiffened up, glancing through her hair at the group around her. Though it seemed they were busy sharing their Dragon cards with everyone. Should she do that? She didn't really want to. Why did it matter if they needed to know they'd find out. Even so the girl silently raised the card containing Dragonecro for a few seconds and muttering, her tone dull and somewhat raspy, almost zombie-like "Dragonecro." before slipping it back into her pouch and returning to staring at the table.
  9. It wasn't long before the pair were ambushed. She hadn't really been trying to avoid this so it didn't come much of a surprise to Valerie. She almost laughed when she saw the ice, in fact, and the heat around her body began to increase almost as though responding to the threat. Though it was mostly due to how much she had been moving around. Lesnar was able to rather quickly dodge out of the way of the beast-like boy's attack. Leaving a slight ringing in Valerie's ears that only got her more pumped up. "Be ready, cause it's about to get loud." This time she did laugh. "No worries. I like it loud." She then took a few steps towards the group that had ambushed her. "You're here to take our badges." She grabbed the bag around her shoulder and tossed it to the side. It landed with a heavy thud as over forty pounds of weight hit the pavement. Valerie slowly spun that arm in a circle, stretching it out. "Which means you must have a couple badges already between you all, right?" The Fiery Soul Emerges The heat increased more as the girl gave a wild grin. "So I guess at the end of this fight some of us are gonna be able to pass the test." "Sucks to be you." Flames erupted to life around Valerie's body, almost reaching Lesnar near Valerie's side, and she quickly moved into the position she wanted. A position which allowed her, with a grunt of effort, to send a column of flames roaring past the chain of arms that the girl had sent her way, blocking its path towards Valerie, and right towards the ice maker. "You're messing with the best now!" She shouted and, as the flames made their path, she ran towards the girl with the strange arms. She didn't seem like the strongest of them but from what Valerie could tell her Quirk would make it much harder to deal with the other two.
  10. Or at least not be another flying unit. But yeah, this is a good example of why so many alts for certain characters exist. Azura and Camilla have many already yet the fanbase clearly wants more. It sorta sucks for those of us who want others but I can't be too upset because...it just makes sense for the game to do it since so many want it. Personally I really, really, hope Anna pulls through. She deserves a good alt.
  11. ngl didn't expect Tales to lose so soon. Anyway, last wave is done with and round 2 will be made up of... rip Megaman X you strange but oddly fun and charming game qq Will randomize the matches and start the first wave tomorrow.
  12. Probably gonna remake the latest tournament for the Showdown Club soon so if anyone wants in on that and future tournaments be sure to join the Club.

  13. She had only just started down the road further into the city when she heard her name being called out. Odd, she didn't really know anyone here did she... "f-funny to see you here. L-l-looks like I caught up with you after all!" Oh, right, that was...that boy that she talked to earlier. She grinned when she saw him. Turns out that he did manage to follow her in the end. "Hey there!" She said loudly, moving closer. "You caught me at the tail-end of this test. Four down so far. Was about to go look for the last one. How bout you?" She gave a laugh as he told her he, too, had four badges in total. She punched his shoulder and gave him a thumbs up. "That's how it's done! Hey, since you're here, suppose we might as well look for a place with more of these things right? Follow me and let me know if you spot anything. We'll be done with this in a flash!" With that she adjusted the bag slung over her shoulder and began to jog down the middle of the road as if expecting Lesnar to follow. She did keep some distance though as the heat she was radiating was starting to grow more intense. The girl made a noticeable target as she didn't even try to keep from sight. Merely jogging down the road without any form of cover. A fact that someone could easily use to their advantage...
  14. I cannot say I expected to see Tales losing so early and certainly not like this. tbh never played this YGO game but looking up screenshots I don't get the appeal. Meanwhile Symphonia is high up on my list of games ever. Still time for a turn around but doubtful. I really got into the characters and art of Tales. It did a good job at giving me sidequests I want to do just to see more of the writing and that's a big plus.
  15. What is the thing that most makes you like an idol?
  16. Are there any game series you have wanted to try out but never have for whatever reason?
  17. At least my boys Ranulf and Haar are in the top 20 males...And tbh I'd like Eliwood, I always liked him as a character hated him as a unit, but the rest....Well, Alm isn't too bad either. Just kinda boring. On the female side I just have to say ANNA! tfw two seperate Anna are in the top 10. C'mon, Heroes, please take that into account. I know they're different but...
  18. Fresh off of stuffing a baby doll into her bag Valerie was standing at the edge of the window, trying to figure out the best way down, when she heard someone calling out "Please, stop, I need those don't take them from me!" The voice was coming from under the window, probably right next to the building she was standing inside, and when Valerie looked down she expected to see some sort of hologram or bot calling for help. Instead she saw a flesh and blood human on the ground, being held down by some sort of tendrils, and another human, a snobbish looking boy, standing above them. As Valerie leaned closer she noticed the tendrils were in fact the boy's fingers. She also noticed a pair of badges in his other hand. "Ha, if you were able to get a second badge you should've been strong enough to keep em. This school isn't gonna let some weakling who can't defend himself in you idiot." Valerie had heard enough. She knew her way down now. Grabbing onto the edges of the window she jumped out and, letting out a whoop of excitement, crashed feet first onto the hunched over boy's back. The force sending him into the ground and sending Valerie into a roll onto the street. Popping up she turned around in time to see the boy shakily get to his feet. "The hell's your problem?" "My problem," she replied, "is that it looks like a villain got in her by mistake." With that she ran towards the boy, ducking out of the way of the boy's fingers, and delivered a strong uppercut to his jaw. Causing him to drop to the ground unconcious. She snorted in disappointment as she reached down and grabbed the two badges the boy had been holding, plus a third attached to his belt, and turned towards the one who had been attacked. She wasn't sure about taking one from another prospect but...keeping this guy out of the school seemed like a pretty heroic thing to do right now. She tossed two of the badges towards the victim of the attack. "Next time hold onto em tighter okay? I expect to see you at the finish with five of these things." With that she smiled, waved, and began to jog down the street. She had already found two near here and she assumed that one had found another nearby. Valerie doubted there would be many more to find here. She had to go deeper into the city if she wanted to get her last badge.
  19. It was some day in some city in some facility. Hotaru lay in bed watching the ceiling as she had been for the past three hours. The ceiling hadn't changed since she first was looking. There was a brief moment, around hour two, that she thought the texture had changed but it was just her eyes blurring for a moment. This is the view she had had for many days now. The only difference was a slight throbbing in her left shoulder where, partially covered by her dress, a wing-like symbol now resided. Hotaru hadn't thought she expected much would change after the mark appeared but, when she had been immediately sent back to her room, she realized that there was a small bit of hope that was dashed in an instant. The girl sighed. "What is it Tsukiko?" She said, finally speaking to the grinning woman who was standing by the side of her bed. "Ah, you have finally spoken. It only took twenty minutes this time. An improvement." The woman responded before covering her mouth and laughing softly. "Kukuku...Your days of waiting have come to a close, my dear, for today is the day you set foot outside of this facility of experiment and into the mysterious unknown. Come, follow me into the darkness of discovery." The woman turned and flung open the door before raising a foot. She waited. Waited some more, then gestured for Hotaru to follow. With not a small amount of reluctance the girl pushed her lanky body out of the bed and, having not removed her footwear from when she last went outside, followed the woman. When she saw the car Hotaru felt both a tingling anticipation and nerves. Seeing this, Tsukiko clucked her tongue. "I assure you my driving is more than adequate." It was not. However, once in the vehicle, Hotaru found herself not minding. If she were to go out this way then it would only be fitting. As they traveled Tsukiko kept talking. About destiny. And grand mysterious adventures. About powers beyond what most would deem normal. And then she stopped talking about herself and instead asked Hotaru how she felt about being outside. The girl stared out the car window, watching as the world passed by in a blur, and remained silent for around ten minutes before finally responding. "It's...fine. Doesn't feel different." Tsukiko nodded, a small smirk on her face, and spoke in a mysterious tone "For now." Ah. There it was again. That feeling of a small, unintentional, glimmer of hope being quashed in the waves of reality. So they were shipping her to a prison now. They must not have wanted to spend the funding it took to keep her housed in that facility. Well, one place was as bad as another. She slipped from the car and shuffled along her path as usual. Then Tsukiko stopped her before she entered. "My dear, before you go, I must tell you that I believe in you. I knew when I met you that you had a power and this is now your chance to show it." "By going to prison?" came Hotaru's rare sarcastic response. Tsukiko smirked. "Nothing is ever just what it seems." And with that the woman gently pushed Hotaru forward. Towards some unknown, and potentially unreal, destiny. "Oh, so the cute little bearer of the left wing, Hotaru arrives next. Well, I suppose little isn't the right word to describe you," Hotaru gave a barely visible nod. She was standing stiffly, almost eerily so, near the table where several others were already seated. Including one who seemed....excited to be here. Why? What was exciting about any of this? She mumbled something so quietly and rushed that even Hotaru herself didn't know what she was saying and sat awkwardly on the table. Her hands moved from her lap, to the table, until finally she just let them hang uselessly at her side. Hotaru lowered her gaze, letting her bangs cover her eyes, and waited for this to be over.
