  5. Looking For a Thing Not There (Ziun) As Ziun asked around about the Apati family he would soon discover that many people either didn't want to talk about them or only wanted to complain. "For two years, two years I thought she was a redhead but turned out it was actually grey this whole time!" "That little devil girl keeps stealing my bread and making it look like nothing was gone. Then I go to grab one for a PAYING customer and poof, gone." "Don't get me started, but let me get started...." It went on for so long that he wasn't sure without more specific questions he'd ever find what he really wanted. However finally it seemed that someone took interest. A young girl, of perhaps seven or eight years old, came up to him. "Mister. Why do you wanna find them? Do you wanna arrest them like the scary guard lady?" She looked at him with eyes shimmering with unshed tears and it seemed that if he didn't say something she would burst out crying right in the middle of the marketplace. Looking At a Thing Not There (Lana) "does your Dad know she's here?" "No." Anna said. At first it seemed that's all she'd reply with but then she continued. "He thinks I don't have friends. Because I talk to myself. But I don't. I talk to her....and myself." "It's kinda...tricky." Farah said. "Ya see, ghosts aren't really supposed to be around especially according to the church. Her dad's a nice guy and I don't really want to make things...complicated for him, ya know? I don't really want to be exorcised....after all who needs exercise when you never gain weight, am I right?" Farah then laughed and Lana thought she could feel a slight, chilly, breeze, pass through her. After a bit more time Lana would hear noise from outside and the door opened up. The priest walked in, wearing what seemed to be nightclothes, and Lana realized that it must have gotten late without her realizing. "Oh, there you are. I heard voices and I...ah, but I see, you were talking with the young traveler." He seemed relieved. Though he frowned soon after and looked around before seeing the fallen candelabra. "Goodness, why is it whenever I come to get you I find something out of place." he said with a chuckle. Lana noticed that the moment the door opened Farah had seemed to vanish.
  6. Thessa had elected to ignore the man in the ooze. She had decided that he couldn't actually do anything to her. In fact she had come to the conclusion that this fight wasn't any threat and the only thing she had to do was figure out how to finish it faster. She noticed the darker portions of the ooze, the basketball sized globules that were floating around, and thought that those seemed a good place to start. She darted to the side of the slime the thing launched at her and grabbed up a chunk of rubble that had tumbled off to the side. Getting into position she lined up and threw the chunk like a baseball pitch right towards the already cracked globule. The rubble hit the ooze and seemed to be slowed down by the goo. It still managed to hit, and crack, the globule though and more importantly pushed it partway out of the ooze. The rubble proceeded to be dissolved by the inside of the ooze. She noticed that the ooze shifted the hole back over to the villain and it was likely he was about to fire again. Which, as mentioned before, Thessa ignored still in order to throw a second pitch into the ooze and knock the globule outside. It looked to be trying to generate more slime but it didn't appear to work. Meanwhile she was hit by another explosion, this one stronger, which also happened to damage the floor around Thessa in the process. It actually hurt somewhat but nothing Thessa felt she couldn't handle at her current level. So she ran over towards the globule and stomped on it to shatter it entirely. As she looked over towards the ooze she noticed the other globules seemed to be moving about faster, more erratic, than before. Almost as though in response to her targeting them. Once more ignoring the man she ran over and waited a few moments for one of the globules to be within range and launched a haymaker punch. It connected with the globule and sent it towards the other side of the ooze. Unfortunately before it popped up the ooze seemed to basically hold onto it. The ooze shot more of itself at Thessa and she decided to leap up into the air over it. Over the entire creature itself. Then she shifted and dove kicked the globule she had just punched and, taking it with her, soared past to the other side of the ooze than she started. Behind her the man had done yet another explosion. This time aimed at the floor. Which shattered and allowed the boy and his blob to fall down towards the ground level. Thessa picked up the globule she had knocked free and crushed it between her two hands before turning back around and looking down the hole where the villain had fallen.
  7. If you didn't notice you can add another nomination if you want
  8. Okay I think its been a week so I'm gonna let everyone nominate one more, so a total of 5
  9. Damien was in fact not looking at Lucas despite the taunting. He was looking down, keeping him in sight but not showing his face. He took a step back and muttered towards Reinaan, barely loud enough for even Reinaan to pick up, "I can keep him busy, help the others. Don't think I can win but if I keep him from transforming..." Then louder, to Lucas, he said "You don't need to see my face, and I don't need to see yours, we've both seen more than enough of it." "What a shame, you survived all this time after abandoning us, and even abandoning the ones you left us for. Now you've gone and done it again joining up with another group you'll just betray in the end. You really were a failure." Without replying Damien ran towards Lucas, swinging his blade and causing the man to dodge backwards again. "Fine, I'll teach you one last lesson then, mutt." Lucas said. --- The lycan had charged towards Cym and Pan the moment he saw that his leader was going to fight. The speed caught Cym off guard but Pan seemed to have been expecting it. He cast a spell and a wind blew from behind him and struck the lycan. The powerful gust seemed to slow him down and Cym was able to respond. She seemed to cast a spell of her own and a flame wrapped itself around her sword and she charged towards the lycan, moving faster with the wind at her back, and thrust the weapon into the beast's side. The lycan let out a howl and swung its claw at Cym who only barely ducked out of the way, pulling her blade out in the process. The lycan was already swinging with his other claw and Cym brought her sword back to try and block the blow. She was flung to the side by the lycan's force and the beast started towards Pan. The wind died down and the elf mage seemed ready to cast another spell. --- Lindow got the lycan's attention for better or worse and the beast was barreling for him at top speed. Right as it reached him a sudden wall of light appeared in front and the beast slammed into it with a grunt. There was a brief moment of confusion before it settled itself and, with a flurry of claw strikes, broke the wall that separated the two of them. --- The injured lycan snarled as it saw Lindow leave but it decided to stay focused on Ryia. The beast was filled with anger but the injury seemed to make it just more cautious as it shifted around to the side with Ryia's mace and went in for an attack. Keres was trying to take in everything that was happening, to best decide what to do, but when she saw the lycan attack Ryia she forgot all thoughts of picking out her target and focused on those two. She raised her arms and began to cast, focusing strongly on gathering water up above where the two were fighting. She didn't do anything with the water yet however and continued to form what she could without an actual water source nearby. --- Those perceptive enough would be able to tell that the other lycans that had been caught up in traps seemed to be moving around again somewhere off to the upper left and lower right of the clearing from where they were standing.
  10. Most of what I'd normally nominate are up already so Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked Pokemon Sun/Moon Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright Rune Factory 4 two of these I only played some of but enjoyed, that said I actually prefer the original to Ultra SM...and might as well have one of the Fates at least even if not my favorites in the series
  11. Team QN While Quinn was the first to go off where the supposed thief had gone Nathan was quick to overtake the young ghost. Perhaps had Quinn floated instead of ran they might have kept the lead. Whatever the case it wouldn't be long before they both saw a suspicious person. The lack of buildings made it fairly clear where they were and even from the distance they could make out that they were a man with long red hair and wearing a black jacket with some sort of flaming bird symbol on the back of it. As they got closer, for the man didn't seem to be the best runner, they saw they were holding a Pokemon egg in their arms as they awkwardly ran. The man kept glancing back, showing that he was wearing a black face mask as well, and when he noticed the two of them getting close he seemed to panic and pick up the pace. This only caused him to stumble and trip. As he fell to the ground he twisted to avoid landing on the egg and accidentally let go of it. The Pokemon egg soared into the air and away from the man and would in scant few moments surely land on the ground a dozen or so feet away from the man.
  12. Bit too slow, a lot of the singing feel like they lack the energy of the music, 7/10
  13. Got a new Poll Tournament up for nominations, 3DS this time

  14. For the first of these of the year I figured I'd bring out one that I imagine is more likely to have nominations than the Xbox one did. Rules Nominations (32/32) Round 2 Round 3 Semifinals Finals
  15. Sabrina was disappointed to say the least with how stubbornly these hunters didn't believe what she was saying. It didn't make sense to her. Wasn't the whole point of being here that they were special heroes? Shouldn't people...believe that? She had had enough of disbelief back home. She didn't need it here too. If she had come here only to be doubted, and perhaps even made fun of, then what would the point have been? It was a chilling thought and she didn't even think to dry off as the towels were offered to her. In fact she seemed somewhat out of it, thoughts elsewhere, until the hunters began to depart. As they did she suddenly spoke up with, "You'll see! Everything's gonna go great! You won't...have anything to worry about soon!" Talk seemed to be going towards what they were going to do next. There had been mention of going off to fight other things to get stronger first but... "I say we just charge straight on to the enemy's lair! After all, " the sooner they took out this Accursed thing the sooner everyone would believe that she was someone important "the sooner we win the sooner things will start getting better around here! There's no way we'll lose to some generic bad guy we can kick their butts just how we are!"
  16. Three's a Crowd After Lana answered affirmatively Anna silently watched the same spot as before. She nodded a couple times then said, "I told her she could." Then a moment later. "I didn't think that was a problem." She shrugged after a few seconds. "Can deal with it after right?" Then Lana heard a noise, a long sigh. And another voice suddenly filled the air. "You never were this insistent before, that means something huh? Fine, guess can see how this goes this one time." The voice faded then and Lana felt a sudden cold breeze. Then there was the slightest touch on her shoulder, and she heard the voice whisper into her ear, "boo." When she looked at what was behind her she would see a a girl with long purple hair and a huge smirk on her face. "Spooky right?" She said and then laughed. At first she seemed like a normal girl but as Lana looked she would realize two things. One, the girl wasn't that tall but she seemed taller at first glance because she was floating off the ground. Two, the girl was partially transparent. She could see the wall on the other side of the girl through her without much trouble. Even the girl's clothes, a short dress and jacket, despite moving as she did like regular clothes didn't stop Lana's line of sight. "Not often Anna wants someone to meet me you know, guess you must've done something right." The girl tapped a finger to her chin and looked off into the distance, "or is that something wrong, since now you're kind of haunted?"
  17. It just sounds so awkward to me and that's hard to get over. Bit of an original way to cover them but, 6.5/10 it's fine overall.
  18. can't rate it they said please Cute, 6/10 though
  19. Team JAA/AJA/AAJ "oh right, yeah. We were just talking about ghost stories. You know any Anneliese? Oh I can't wait to tell some tonight!" "Ghost stories? Oh, I do not know, I was told that ghost stories were meant to keep children from running off and as I never did they didn't feel the need to..." a light blush came onto her face. "I suppose perhaps they should have told one or two..." She shook her head. "Oh but I am quite interested in the stories you have to tell!" --- The creature in the darkness watched as the group of humans talked to each other. Getting rather animated and at times loud with their storytelling. It continued to watch and wait until the last of them had gone to sleep before moving forwards, slowly, slowly. It crept over towards a bag where it could smell food and approached it while pausing every couple feet to glance around. Finally it had reached the bag and was just about to drag it off when... "Oh my, what is this then?" --- Anneliese stirred, having heard a noise outside. At first she lay there, frozen, as she recalled some of the stories from earlier. However, after nudging and failing to rouse the others, she managed to take a tentative look. And she saw a Rockruff with the strap of a bag in its mouth. When she spoke the little Pokemon froze up and stared at her a moment before letting go of the bag and taking off. Or rather tried to. Instead it ran right into Leopold, who had freed itself from the ball when Anneliese had spoken. The Rock type tumbled backwards after bumping into Leopold and the latter glared down at the shivering Pokemon. "Oh Leopold, good job. Hello there little one, you forgot to take this." Anneliese then presented the Pokemon with some food from the bag. The Rockruff seemed hesitant at first, glancing over at Leopold in terror, before gently taking the food. Anneliese beamed at the Pokemon. "That's right. No one should go without food after all. But you shouldn't take what isn't yours. It's always polite to ask first." With that she returned Leopold to his ball and began to go back to the tent. She paused when she felt a tugging on her dress and turned to see the Rockruff clinging to her and looking up at her. "Goodness. Did you want more?" The Rockruff let go and took a few steps back. It hesitated then shook it's head and looked towards Leopold's ball. "Did you want to play with Leopold?" The Pokemon shivered and shook its head even more intently. Anneliese wasn't sure what the little dog was trying to say and then gasped. "Do you want to come with me? It is rather...frightening out there, I suppose." Anneliese looked off into the darkness and also shivered. When she looked back at the Rockruff the Pokemon was sitting there expectantly and Anneliese smiled. "Very well then, just give me one moment..." The Rockruff waited as Anneliese looked for the singular Pokeball in her possession. She approached the Rockruff, holding the ball, and frowned. She didn't know what she was supposed to do with the ball. She had heard people throw them but that seemed rather rude. So instead she put it in the palm of her hands and presented it to the Rockruff. The Pokemon looked confused at first before slowly moving forward and booping the button with its nose. It then got sucked into the ball which gave a few simple shakes before settling down. "My, catching Pokemon is quite delightful!" Anneliese declared as she made her way back to bed, thoughts of what to name the Pokemon swirling through her head. "alright everyone! It's time for adventure! And the backbone of all adventure is traveling and seeing new places! So let's get going!" Anneliese woke up to Jacklyn's shout and clumsily got up. While she wasn't nearly as groggy as Anima her hair was sticking up in multiple places. "My, quite the alarm aren't you?" she said with a giggle towards Jacklyn. "Oh! But before that. You would not believe it but we had a visitor last night. Come on out, Roland, and introduce yourself!" She then sent out the Rockruff, now given a name, which took one look at the two humans and darted behind Anneliese and covered its face with its paws. "Goodness, but you were so bold last night sneaking into camp." She lifted up the Pokemon in her arms and it tried to disappear between them as the girl presented the Pokemon. "Also....would one of you be so kind as to brush my hair? I have not done it myself before..."
  20. Wonder if it'll be from one of the ones on my list of "might watch"
  21. That was very odd but fairly fun, 7.5/10
