OOC It was the day of the Entrance Exams. Normally, student's for a school would be nervous, but there was a certain buzz about the air. Soon enough, they'd be lining up before the massive pillars out front, waiting for the doors to let them in. In a room, with a sign outside of the door labeled "Principal, there sat a rather grayed man in a chair. His breathing was deep, like he was almost in a trance. Outside the door, someone suddenly stood. It was like someone had crawled in from the early Edo period, through his opened window. "It's not like you to be nervous...Principal. As a matter of fact, I thought you were nerveless." He said with a rather smug tone. "I just don't know if these kids know what they've signed up for. And I don't necessarily have a degree in teaching youngsters." He said with a sigh. "I'm sure it won't be all bad. These kids are the next wave of official licensed heroes right? We have to teach them what we've learned thus far." "I suppose you're right. Well...let's go greet them shall we?" Misu Yoshino stood outside the pillars of the newly built school, grinding her teeth as she waited for the doors to open so she could take this shitty test. She was tired, and her hair was a mess, but at least her stomach was full of food. No way in hell was she missing breakfast for this thing. As she left for the exam, she couldn't help but look back and see her entire family with tears of joy running down their cheeks. Even her little sister, and dad...was this all it took to make them happy. "I guess it's fine...if it's for them..." She grumbled to herself. There weren't as many kids as she expected, but that was to be expected. Quirks were rare enough as it was, but people who actually fit the criteria for this school must've shaved down the numbers tenfold. She towered above them all, as was to be expected, besides one insect like guy. She could fight them all off, probably. With a loud creaking, the doors to the school swung open fiercely. An old man and a samurai of sorts walked out of the doorway to meet the crowd of examinees. A loud roar could be heard coming from the old looking man. "Welcome, Hero Hopefuls! The Entrance Exam will start soon, so kindly follow us." With a groan, Misu did as she was told, as would all the other teenagers. They would be lead through the entirety of the school, before taking an entrance through the back. A large gated fence sat in front of their face. Over the top of it one could see large trees, and even larger buildings. The man clad in samurai armor began to speak next. "To get this far, you must have already passed the written test. Today will be the day of the practical. Beyond this gate lies a forest type area, and a city type area. You are free to roam wherever you please, and do as much damage as possible, but your objectives will all be the same. In each area are a limited amount of badges that resemble the U.A. logo. To complete the practical, one must obtain 5 badges and return to the gate before sundown." He then looked to the teens with a sharp look. "It doesn't matter how you get your badges. Just so long as you're here, you'll be permitted to attend U.A." "So if I beat the snot out of some dude with 3 badges, and take 'em, I get in?" Misu asked, with a perked eyebrow. "It doesn't matter how you get them. Any which way is fair game. Although, if you kill anyone on practical grounds, you will be immediately disqualified and placed under arrest." The Samurai responded. "Now, we'll give you some time to stretch, and think of any strategy, before the main event. Heroes don't normally get prep time, but that's a lesson you'll surely learn in time." The older gentleman chimed in. The samurai nudged him with an elbow, before scoffing. "Not too bad, chief." Her question might have been too provocative for this type of deal, but she was sure of her abilities. She did as was instructed, and started to stretch her legs and arms properly. This was going to be a cake walk.

It's almost as if the last several years in uptown Brooklyn had disappeared from Lesnar's life. Even after what felt like an eternity of emptiness and borderline madness, that dragging time in his life was soon accelerated to levels he was not used to. Regardless, Lesnar only had a few days to prepare for anything. All he could do was unpack everything in the dorm he was given to stay in for the tests, and should he pass he would remain there. He would so much as blink before he went from preparing for the written test to preparing for the practical test. Of course the written one had little issues given how he had nothing else to distract him from studying, but this was rather intimidating. Despite how much practice he's had against abandoned buildings and weak, everyday gang activity, he knew this was going to be different. A controlled environment specially designed to train soon-to-be heroes of the world all of whom stand out amongst a growing population of people with quirks... which was the other thing Lesnar was not looking forward to... People. The walk to the entrance wasn't far. He only had to cross a couple streets, half of which cars nearly bumped into him and honked. Of course he hardly noticed it as his headphones were on and nearly all sound around him was blocked off. With his music player gently caressed with care by his right hand, he kept his thumb on the navigator pad to control the volume as well as strategically scroll through his playlist to play what he wanted right after the current song ended. His travel song (Genesis - Grimes) was calm and soothing. With each mellow beat and trill of the instruments, the sound waves traveled through him like ripples of water, generating a feeling of bliss that, despite how busy the town was around him, made him feel alone and at peace with the world. He knew he was at the right place as he came across a crowd of people gathered at the gates of the school. As if things weren't about to start until he arrived, the doors opened to show two figures, presumably staff of the school, revealing themselves and announcing the event. Little time was wasted in directing everyone towards the back of the school, which flustered Lesnar. He hated being rushed and expected to just stand around - or hell, even sit - while they made a long and dragged-out introductory speech. Nevertheless, Lesnar sucked it up and followed the crowd. He knew what he signed up for. "In each area are a limited amount of badges that resemble the U.A. logo. To complete the practical, one must obtain 5 badges and return to the gate before sundown." While the objective was stated to pass, Lesnar quickly found someone he knew he would have to deal with. "So if I beat the snot out of some dude with 3 badges, and take 'em, I get in?" Lesnar felt little emotion his whole life up until this point. As if it all waited until now to pump through his system, veins popped left and right on his forehead as he scowled at this tall woman that looked like she could run him over like a train. He huffed, letting his music calm him back down but not completely. The exam was about to start. He wasn't going to let someone's attitude make him lose focus. Not after how far he's come.

Hello to all, People that migrated from yugiohcardmaker.net might already know me, despite me never having formally introduced myself there. I'm probably most well known on that site for creating the "Neo New Card maker" (which, as of writing this, happens to be this site's card maker). So if you have any issues with it, let me know... I will probably create a topic for that specific goal. (Keep in mind that it might take a while before I get around working on a certain feature/bug.) Besides writing code, I like to play games. This includes both board games and video games. Video games I play are mostly from Nintendo (Fire Emblem, Pokémon, Smash bros and Splatoon, etc.). From time to time I also draw stuff (mostly digitally). I probably won't be as active as some other members (most certainly not in terms of posting), but I will be seeing you guys and gals around. Yours sincerely, Yemachu

Bzzt, bzzzzzzt. Bzzt, bzzzzzt. The sound of HIbiki's phone vibrating on the desk in front of her broke the early-morning silence. She'd been allowed to stay in the dorms of UA so that she could get to her practical exams in time, but between being used to a nocturnal sleep schedule and simply being so excited for the exam, she hadn't gotten any sleep last night! She'd spent the last few hours texting back and forth, since she wasn't the only one so thrilled about the final step of maybe getting to join an amazing school like UA. She turned her attention immediately to the phone screen. The brightness on it had been turned down about as far as it would let Hibiki go. 1 New Text: Hikari Maybe not something that bright and colorful. You would look weird like that considering your Quirk. Mm. She's got a point. I'll think about a different costume later then. Hibiki looked at the clock in the corner of her screen. It was already... time for the exam!? It's time for the practical! I'll text you back after it's over! Hibiki put her phone down, grabbed the sunglasses lying next to it and hurriedly put them on her face, already making for the door. She stopped only very briefly in the kitchen area to grab a single orange and a cheap bottled milk that she chugged down in no time flat, before bursting out of the dorm building like a bat out of hell. She chomped into the orange without mercy, and by the time she was where she was supposed to be with the other students, the only evidence remaining that the orange had existed in the first place was a small piece of it sitting by the corner of her mouth. "To get this far, you must have already passed the written test. Today will be the day of the practical. Beyond this gate lies a forest type area, and a city type area. You are free to roam wherever you please, and do as much damage as possible, but your objectives will all be the same. In each area are a limited amount of badges that resemble the U.A. logo. To complete the practical, one must obtain 5 badges and return to the gate before sundown. It doesn't matter how you get your badges. Just so long as you're here, you'll be permitted to attend U.A." "So if I beat the snot out of some dude with 3 badges, and take 'em, I get in?" That's really smart! And also very mean-spirited. And I'm not much of a fighter anyway. Hopefully that tall girl didn't decide to pick a fight with Hibiki. She didn't even know what that girl could do, but if she was asking about fighting, it was safe t o guess she was good at that, right!? WIth the students being given some time to stretch, Hibiki stretched her arms, her legs, and even if they wouldn't be doing her any favors, her wings. She just couldn't contain her excitement! The bat girl raised a fist up into the air. "Alright everyone, let's make sure to all do our very BEST!" That last word came out way louder than she'd meant! She could see birds from some trees over yonder flying off, startled by the sudden loud noise, and could hear her own echo come back to her. Hopefully she didn't hurt anyone's ears like that! "Sorry!" she exclaimed, putting her hands over her mouth in case it happened again. "I'm just super-excited right now!"

Would anyone be interested in a YCM/NCM drawthread where I or someone else suggests an object or thing for us to draw and in a few days we show our drawings? I'd probably put a few resources and references in the OP, too.

<OOC> Excerpt from Chapter 1: Shaky Beginnings Date: August 23rd, Year 556 Time: 9:00 AM (Terce) Location: Castle Augusta, Galtea BGM To Your Royal Majesty King Reginald of Galtea, Head of House Nabudis, Archduke of Augusta, and my Honored Father, I hope this letter finds you well. I regret to inform you that, while I am alive and unharmed, I bear grave news. Despite what you may have heard, I was kidnapped by goddess sympathizers and barely escaped. I will not mince words. They took me to a church within Pontus, and used my blood in a dark ritual to revive the goddess. Unfortunately, they succeeded. Fortunately, they didn't succeed in full, though even partially revived, She is a force to be reckoned with. My apologies, father, but I cannot return just yet. Although Pontus may have been the ultimate cause of my kidnapping, the ones who did so were citizens of Galtea. The Pontics have been desperately searching for me, and I fear, if I return to the capital, I would be walking into a trap... I will set out for Sochen within the day, where I hope to find sanctuary far from Pontus's borders while I determine my next course. Written at Castle Balfon on the twenty-first day of the month of August, in the year of our hero-king, five hundred and fifty-six. Per your daughter, Catriona of House Nabudis, Heir Apparent An intake of breath, and the letter found itself crumpled within a mailed fist. The owner, a white-haired man in ermine robes, breathed out through his nose. "Really..." he muttered. "That girl...does she have no sense of self-preservation? Still...to think they would be so bold as to pull this..." He paced his chambers, brow furrowed. "They've gone too far this time...not just the snakes from within, but Pontus as well." He strode from the room, cape billowing behind him. "Looks like they all need a reminder on how I earned my title." The Winter King. Tempered in governance, but forged in battle. BGM Since then, Catriona and company faced many challenges in their journey. Their goal was to find the Great Dragon, who would hopefully be able to assist in defeating the goddess or sealing her away. The initial group composed of Catriona, Malu'kai, Anaïs, Meifing, a small town fighter named Alois, Catriona's sister Penelope, her knight Gunther, Feray, and a wandering swordsman named Asura came across a blacksmith named Jake being accosted by bandits. They defeated them with the help of a young man who looked fresh from the farm, a Pontic named Edrick. Unfortunately, Anaïs had to leave soon afterward, and Edrick was heavily injured. The group accompanied Jake to Ithome, Sector Three. Along the way, Feray left the group, but they met a girl named Tarizo, who joined temporarily. In Ithome, Meifing left the group, but they came across Link, a former Galtean soldier, now a library guard. He led them to the city hall, where they were turned away by Councilman Silas. Meanwhile, Edrick, who had just finished recovering from his wounds, was ambushed by street urchins, only being saved by the timely arrival of the rest of the group and a noble in disguise named Ciela. The group set out not long afterward and met Sienna, a girl wearing a hood to disguise the fox ears atop her head. Joined by Sienna, the group reached Sector One, where most of them decided to head for the library to research information on the Great Dragon's whereabouts. Ciela, on the other hand, decided to go shopping, but an altercation with a rogue left her paralyzed from the waist down. Meanwhile, in the library, Sienna discovered a secret passage, but at the bottom, a scene straight out of a murder mystery awaited them. Not long after, the group was arrested and taken to the City Hall where they were interrogated by the Three Councilmen. They spent another day in the city, but soon had to leave, laden with presents from a mysterious man named Santa. Asura left them at the gate. Headed to the Pelinna region, the group encountered yet more bandits, a shaman named Azar, a wolf cub named Rohns who began to follow Link around, and the Pelinna Patrol, a group of volunteers who patrolled the region to keep it free of bandits. Among them was a young bow thief named Tsetseg. The group was soon divided after being ambushed by fox Proteans who thought them to be kidnapping Sienna, who as it turned out, was the chieftain's daughter. While some were taken away by the foxes, the rest joined forces with the frog Proteans, including a frog of little words named Shiro, and the patrol. The two sides were on high alert ever since one of the frogs was murdered, and the fox tribe's treasure was stolen. The frogs marched on the fox village, where it looked as if a fight would break out, especially seeing as the fox chieftain looked to be under a spell of sorts, save for the timely arrival of a horde of bandits. Joining forces, with foxes, frogs, and humans all working together, the group managed to defeat them. The next day, Azar left, but the group was joined by a pegasus knight named Adelaide, who, unbeknownst to them, was actually a former cavalier named Adelheid, who had served on both sides of the Great War. Licorice, a black fox with hidden motives, joined as well. After leaving the forest, the group came across an abandoned shrine to the goddess, a church that was little more than a single tower and an altar, with broken-down walls surrounding it. It seemed harmless enough, but when night fell, a horde of what Licorice called "Awakened" attacked them. However, yet more Awakened arose to help them, their eyes a brilliant white rather than blood red. A woman astride a horse calling herself L'Arachel also came to their aid. The battle was long and arduous, but at long last, the group stood triumphant. Chapter 5: Creeping Darkness (continued) Date: 8th of Ramesoth, Year 556 Time: 3:00 AM (Lauds) Location: Abandoned Shrine, Histia BGM Catriona breathed a sigh of relief, rubbing her head and wincing when her hand came away wet with blood. A horde of undead...just what she had wished to wake up to. Still, every one of them was alive, and that was an outcome she hadn't dared hope for, not with just how many undead there were. More than she could count even were she given minutes on end. She would call it a miracle that they were still alive and whole, but she knew the real reason, and it was not something as unreliable as that. Their Awakened allies, and the strange girl astride the horse...L'Arachel, she had called herself. Not to mention the undead villagers that had risen from the ground as soon as the enemy Awakened had gone south, and into the graveyard. The dead did not like being disturbed. Though unskilled in battle, and equipped with nothing but farming tools, they were brave. Yet now, as the last of the Awakened had finally fallen--one that had seemed a little smarter, a little stronger, but in the end just as susceptible to getting stabbed--they started to crawl back to the graveyard, the white light that had shone from their eyes flickering like a dying candle. Even the pegasus that Edrick had ridden faded away, its purpose served. One, an elderly-looking Awakened, stopped in front of her. "Many thanks," he rasped. "This place...has always been our home, and always will be. No matter what...outsiders do." His mouth turned down into a frown. "Once...we were a village. Built around this church." He waved a hand. "Now...this is all that's left. The rest...burned to ashes. Please..." he said, grasping hold of Catriona's hands. His own were cold. "Please...find the priest. It is because of the priest...Father..." he coughed. "We are ourselves. Not slaves, hearts warped by Her rage." He released her hands, but a small bullion remained. "The last...of my savings. Hid it...from the soldiers..." He hobbled to one of the graves, one that looked a little nicer than the others, and like the rest, closed his eyes and sank into the ground. Now all that remained were the original five. Save for Dua, who was currently preoccupied in healing the group alongside Ciela and L'Arachel, the allied Awakened were not doing much of anything, as if they were waiting. Waiting to die once more? What a morbid thought. And yet, such thoughts had kept her company for nights on end now. She turned her gaze to where Licorice stood nearby, nearly untouched. It seemed almost unreal that such a person could stand there so calmly, as if she hadn't just shown off a near inhuman speed in the battle prior. But then, perhaps that was the point. She wasn't human. A sudden soothing feeling shook Catriona from her musings. Turning, she gave her thanks to the white-eyed priest above her, who nodded at her and moved on. While she would feel dizzy for a while from blood loss, the feeling would eventually go away. The woman stood, marching to the northern exit of the shrine, where the bodies of the enemy Awakened were long since gone, dissolved into wisps of red smoke. Shivering, she turned back, and stopped, seeing a glowing figure above the altar. "What mad--?!" but before she could finish, the glowing died down, showing the figure to be transparent. The woman took a few steps back automatically, before gritting her teeth and stepping forward. The allied Awakening all let out gasps of shock, Unil most of all. He stepped forward, a look of pure, heartbreaking longing on his face. "Father?" he whispered. BGM The figure, who on closer inspection looked to be an older man in the raiments of a priest, gave a sad smile. "Yes," he replied. "It is me, my son," he looked at the rest of the Awakened, shaking his head. "Stubborn as always. Even now, you refuse to leave." To Catriona's surprise, every single Awakened started to tear up, a couple even breaking down into sobs. Whoever this man was, he was important to them. "Thank you," the man said, turning his solemn gaze to the group. "The invaders likely arrived because of you, but even so, you defended this place, and soothed the restless spirits that lingered." He paused. "The path you walk is a hard one, but it is not impossible." His smile turned wry. "Though it seems odd coming from a man of the cloth, I give you my blessing. Perhaps you might be able to return things to how they once were." "Then," the lord leaned forward, unease temporarily buried. "Do you have anything to advise? Know you where the Great Dragon lies?" The man shook his head. "I have no such knowledge, yet I can offer you a different kind of aid." He paused. "It is only due to my strong attachment to this place, and the goddess's power, that I am here, but as the abbot, I have a responsibility to all who come seeking succor." He bowed his head and closed his eyes, muttering a prayer in what Edrick would recognize to be Pontic, though of an archaic variant. Soon after, the altar glowed with a brilliant white light. "A long, long time ago, this place was known as Alltrades Abbey. People would come from far and wide to embark on new beginnings, leaving their pasts behind." He lifted his head to stare straight at the group. "I am Abbot Jack, the last of a long line of abbots blessed with the power to change the path one walks, even their very fates." His eyes seemed to pierce through every single person there. "But be warned, not all change is for the better. Those who seek improvement in one area will inevitably lose strength in another. We were not made perfect beings, though we may strive for it." He started to speak again, though this time his voice changed from a feathery whisper to a commanding boom. "Now. You who seek to change yourself, step forward." Catriona hesitated. This was her chance. The chance to change her cursed fate. Were she to step forward, perhaps she could even cast off the yoke of royalty, and live her life as a simple woman, free of the worries that plagued her. Yet, no. She shook her head. Were she to do so, then it would not relieve the pressure, only transfer it. To her sister. And that, she could not let happen. And what of their quest? The goddess was still out there, tonight was proof of that. She would not give up so easily, so neither would Catriona. No, she could not afford to cast aside her class. A lord she was, to her very bones, and that would never change. But as for the others...that was a different matter. She had no control over their decisions. OOC

The crowd of hopeful entrants to UA High School was moving awkwardly as the Principal spoke, multiple shifting aside, the majority being pushed, as one figure made her way towards the front. Lithe and grinning with an almost feral anticipation, flaming red hair fluttering in the light breeze, Kess was a fearsome sight this morning, more so than she usually already was. A very faint energy ran through her body, all her movements seeming punctuated and quicker than intended. She was bursting with anticipation, raring to go, her Quirk activating and deactivating without her intervention. Normally she might have tried a little harder to maintain control over it, but not today. Today she wasn't able to hold it all in. I'm gonna burn this motherfucker to the ground... UA! she thought fervently, leering up at the school with an anticipatory grin. The principal appeared, accompanied by a man in samurai armor. As they were led through the school Kess moved her way to the front, pushing several out of the way to do so, eyeing him up. Maybe we have to fight that guy? she mused idly in her head, one of her hands flexing slightly, a knuckle cracking of its own accord. But apparently that wasn't it. Kess eyed the treetops, as well as the city buildings further out in the distance. Where's the best place for me... Who cares. I'll take out every last one of these motherfuckers if I have to. Doesn't matter where. "You are free to roam wherever you please, and do as much damage as possible, but your objectives will all be the same. " Kess felt her ace splitting into an even bigger grin, and she barked out a laugh at the sound of that. "Oh?" she asked aloud, though not loud enough that the instructors were at all likely to hear her. "They're really makin' it easy on me, aren't they?" So if I beat the snot out of some dude with 3 badges, and take 'em, I get in?" Kess laughed again, this time louder. "I like your style!" she called through the crowd to the girl, punching a hand into the other to crack all the knuckles in it at once. A low thud could be heard as she did so, the joints in her elbows strained momentarily by the force of the impact. "Maybe you'll be one of the ones that makes it back... Just don't come round me if you want to get in." "Alright everyone, let's make sure to all do our very BEST!... Sorry! I'm just super-excited right now!" Kess winced at the sudden increase in volume from the girl, but she quickly regained her composure, bending down as she approached the small, bat-eared girl to look her directly in the eyes. "Nah, it's fine," she said, though there was a tense, threatening tone to her voice underneath the kind voice she was putting on. She reached forward, placing a hand on top of Hibiki's head, smiling as she tilted her head, saying with false sweetness: "You can be as loud as you like... Makes it easier for me to track you down and kick you into the dirt." Her expression abruptly switched to a glare as she straightened up, making eye contact with Itsuki and Shiba briefly as she did so. The glances were quick, thoughtless; Like they were barely there. "Last an hour or two and you won't have to worry about me; I intend to be back here by then... Until then... Stay outta my goddamn way." She raised her voice, barking over the heads to the instructor: "Alright then, let's get this goddamn thing started! I ain't got all day to become a hero!"

Heavily displeased. This is something I have to answer step by step, starting by quoting the status by the man himself. Let's take it from the top. >Sorry about downtime, was on vacation and didn't have access to internet for about 2 weeks. Where the fuck do you vacation in the 21st century where you have no internet access for two weeks? The Mariana Trench? The Bermuda Triangle? This is an annual thing, so would it really have been that difficult to renew the whatever or check before leaving? And frankly, if it hadn't been for Winter going to outright-stalker-tier measures just to bring it up, the site would probably have been down for all of January too, or however long it took for YCMaker to try getting his next ad check. >Fixed spam problem. Someone with admin permission disabled spam prevention plugin - too many cooks in the kitchen. This bit in particular interests me, since he only said "Someone with admin permission" without excluding himself. From this, we know it was either him or Torm, and Torm wasn't able to access damn near half the site's plugins anyway. I wouldn't put it above YCMaker at this point to disable the anti-spam measures himself so that the spambots would keep triggering ads in a desperate effort to make a quick buck off ad revenue, then try to shift the blame. >Apparently our moderators left? Will be looking for replacements when we move to new forum software. People tend to leave when they're finally done with their incapable leader's bullshit. I constantly say I'd like to be remodded, but YCMaker could PM me right now with a super mod position and that wouldn't be enough to make me stay there. The people who want to stay can stay if they feel like, and quite bluntly NCM will be better off without a decent chunk of them. Overall, it was too little, too late, and too obviously a last-ditch effort to keep his site from decaying into a rotten corpse. I'd love to say to his face everything wrong with YCMaker's return, why he's such an inadequate administrator that we created an entirely new site, and more, but my voice of reason has demanded I don't because it would cause drama to spill over to here.

U.A. High...this was the start of the journey for him. Yuudai stood there along with the other students listening to the grayed elderly man. Though, this type of person definitely surprised him, just by the sheer structure of him. Even though he was grayed, it was obvious he meant business. He did, truthfully, wish to see him in action...same with the samurai clad hero as well. But for the moment, he had to focus on the task at hand: the Entrance Exams. Just so long as you're here, you'll be permitted to attend U.A." Honestly, sounds like one of those many video games...get enough of a certain item and then you can progress. Yuudai thought, rubbing the back of his neck, rolling it slightly. "So if I beat the snot out of some dude with 3 badges, and take 'em, I get in?" Upon hearing this, Yuudai's eyes glanced over at the one who said this: a young woman who definitely fit the bill of a high school Bancho...that outfit and demeanor just screamed it from the high heavens. Sheesh...some talk for a hero... he shrugged, knowing that the samurai did say any means necessary. That definitely wouldn't be his first choice, but the option was definitely on the table at this point. "Now, we'll give you some time to stretch, and think of any strategy, before the main event. Heroes don't normally get prep time, but that's a lesson you'll surely learn in time." "Don't have to tell me twice..." Yuudai muttered, already removing his hoodie from himself, putting it on the side as he started rolling his arms and shoulders slightly. The grooves of muscles being obviously shown with his tank-top on as he stretched the best he could. Strategy though...really haven't thought of one though...what should I- "...our very BEST!" This caught the young man off guard, as he reeled back slightly, before seeing a now an embarrassed girl with bat ears with her hands over her mouth. Culprit found. Yuudai only chuckled, before he approached her and another young man. "Your fine. Be completely honest, I think everyone here is incredibly excited." he said, holding out his hand towards the bat girl and addressed both her and the young man. "Shiba Yuudai. Nice to meet you."

Game is definitely intriguing, but I will say this for anyone who has any misconceptions. 'Jump' Force is built entirely around Shonen Jump, they will not have any characters that originated anywhere else. AT MOST there could be something from sister magazines with "Jump" in their name, but they won't (or to be more exact, more than likely can't unless they come up with some crazy partnership deal) include characters from other publishers (E.g. Kodansha's Attack on Titan) or original properties (Gurren Lagann).

Itsuki Watanabe Itsuki yawned for what must have been the fifth time since the teachers had lead them through the gates of U.A. For a couple days in a row now he had been forced to wake up far earlier than what he was used to, by several hours. To him, waking up this early was almost as bad as being kicked out of his own place of living, and this was something he had to keep reminding himself as the students were lead across the grounds, through the halls, and towards a large, gated area just outside the rear of the school. "To get this far, you must have already passed the written test," the teacher clad in the samurai armor began to say. "Passed" was about as accurate of a word to describe Itsuki's success thus far. He didn't excel, he didn't thrive, he didn't impress. He "passed". Today will be the day of the practical. Beyond this gate lies a forest type area, and a city type area. You are free to roam wherever you please, and do as much damage as possible, but your objectives will all be the same. In each area are a limited amount of badges that resemble the U.A. logo. To complete the practical, one must obtain 5 badges and return to the gate before sundown." Itsuki let out a sigh of relief. At least the written tests and academic bullshit was done for now. "It doesn't matter how you get your badges. Just so long as you're here, you'll be permitted to attend U.A." Another student, some tall, scary looking chick, asked a question that was soon answered, but all of this fell on deaf ears for Itsuki as he yawned just loud enough to make it hard for him to hear what was being said. Oh well, couldn't have been terribly important. "Now, we'll give you some time to stretch, and think of any strategy, before the main event. Heroes don't normally get prep time, but that's a lesson you'll surely learn in time," the old guy said, and it wasn't long until several of the more eager and prepared students began to stretch, scope out their competition, trash talk, what have you. "...our very BEST!" A voice rang out so, so much louder that any waking up that was left for Itsuki to do was shocked into effect immediately. He scanned the crowd for the source of the noise and his eyes eventually rested on that of a small bat girl, somehow even shorter than he was. She was cute, he supposed, but Itsuki wasn't typically one for the "moe-blobs". On top of that, he also wasn't one for the ears or animal features either. Oh well, it's a big school and there's sure to be prettier girls than the big scary one or the bat. The bat girl proceeded to apologize profusely, but her energy was still at an obnoxious high. "Hey don't sweat it," Itsuki said in highly informal speech, patting her on the shoulder with one hand and rubbing his temple with the other. "Just make sure you don't make me regret not bringin' earplugs, mmkay?"

I'm hesitant about the game just because the last Jump game sucked and I paid full-price for it when I later found it in a bargain bin for like $5. I'm hoping it's good and much better than that last one. I've got a large wishlist which I'm not sure how realistic it is because the game seems to be up to 33 characters already, pretty sizable roster. I suppose there's always DLC though.

I'm consistently only familiar with 1 of the nominees on most of these categories. It's Bloom Into You for animation, but with what little I've seen of Violet Evergreen and what I know of the studio, I'm going with that. Tweets. The only thing I had more to work with were character related, but I'm sorry, I can't vote Mai over other Bunny Girl characters, even if she is THE bunny girl. Wanted to watch Gridman without being spoiled (but anyone who looks at these could be spoiled), but after the fanart and real swimsuit scene I saw, I didn't think that character was an antagonist. ? EDIT: Wait, looking at the "Meet the Nominees"... is there no manga again? Aw.

MAL|LiveChart|AniChart I don't think this was a thing on YCM for this season, so while kind of late, good to have anyway. I'm gonna really have to lessen my shit compared to last season, and thankfully, there are very few must watches: BanG Dream! 2nd Season - The addition of the other bands should really bring a ton of fun to the table after the introduction episode Endro~! - More Namori design goodness, and it seems to be really nice and fluffy this time, aaahhh~! Mini Toji - Short of the season based off a surprisingly decent mobile game adaptation WATATEN!: an Angel Flew Down to Me - It may seem weird, but as a manga reader I assure you, there is no sexualization of the children. The older character is not so forcibly disgusting like Uzamaid, the comedy is actually nice.

There had definitely been more normal nights then this one. Alois was not expecting to start his night off with an invasion of a hundred undead soldiers hellbent on killing all of them, nor was he expecting any of the allies that followed. But, quite like traveling back in time, this was just a thing that happened and as the bodies disintegrated into smoke, the boy simply shrugged and just let oddities be oddities. There was a lot that he still did not understand, and the sudden ghost abbot was one such thing. Yet, though he didn't fully grasp the idea behind the ghost's abilities, he understood that it was a way to make himself stronger. Alois, knew that he was strong and he knew that he was able to give the Awakened a run for the money in a contest of raw strength. However, it had also become apparent to him that were he to take these contests he would've stood no chance against any more than one opponent. Looking to all of the other people here, he had seen them take blow after blow standing steadfast and not falling to the constant swarm of Awakened attacks and from the scrapes he did receive from them he became keenly aware of one fact. He could not do the same. Walking up to the Abbot, the young fighter still had a smirk on his face that masked his own shaken confidence. Speaking up towards him he asked, "so, you have some kind of magic to make us stronger then? Well, if you want to take the challenge of making me better, then go ahead. I dare ya." The Abbot, likely seeing through this faux taunt simply complied with the boy and worked whatever strange powers he had. All at once Alois saw a brief sudden flash of images and sounds - more akin to memories than anything else. The boy saw himself with the milita back in his hometown and whereas before he was sure he had just brushed off any instruction he was given, this time he had paid more attention to the instructor. He had picked up more on how to actually fight with less reckless abandon and be more on the defensive against foes. There was also a brief period of time that flashed before his eyes where instead of chopping trees he started tackling trees to build up his endurance and hardiness. This, of course, did not happen for very long. When all was said and done, Alois blinked with a clearly surprised expression on his face. It felt a bit off but, he was positive everything he had just seen had happened and after a brief moment of confusion just shook it off. Feeling somewhat sturdier as well, Alois looked to the man and said, "alright. You win." "Oh, oh, oh! Me next, me next!" The exuberant form of Tsetseg, who seemed to really want to jump on this opportunity for reasons the boy couldn't quite discern, had bounded towards the Abbot. Looking eagerly at him, she also seemed to zone out for a second, before snapping back in confusion. Wiggling her fingers a bit, she looked ecstatic as she just let out a, "whooooooooaaa." Not paying much attention beyond that, Alois decided to then address the second most pressing issue here. Looking at the newcomer girl on horseback, he said, "so, thanks for coming in and helping us and all but like...who the fuck are you?"

Finished the first episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm just now, minor spoilers in here. So, I have watched Video Games Awesome's playthrough of the first game, and it was odd, because at first, I liked it and the people playing it liked it, but then as it continued, it had a lot of flaws, it was rather cliched, that the creators only had a vague understanding of teens and American culture, and didn't make much sense, and the ending didn't really feel satisfactory to either of us, but I still enjoyed watching them play it, and recently they played through the first episode of Life is Strange 2, and so far, that game seemed like a huge improvement in a lot of ways, and as they never played Before the Storm, and as it's on Xbox Game Pass, I gave it a go, and interestingly, I didn't really like how it started, but it got better and better, the whole backtalking mechanic is interesting, though maybe too easy so far, and at the end of the episode, I was surprised at how engaged I became. It may have some issues here and there, some of it felt like filler a lot of the time, but could be setting up for something later too, I feel conflicted on Chloe, obviously she is an angsty teen, and with that comes some negative qualities, but maybe they are not placed properly, but maybe that's the point, and then she ends up being nice and happy and having fun with others, helping others, which doesn't seem like what she would do, but I guess player agency can't help that, so that's weird. Still, I liked her more as it went on, especially when she actually contemplates things, how she has a moment with her mom that is genuine and how a teen would actually act, realizing that she is trying to do her best under the circumstances. There is a lot of good in here, and I feel like it's written much better than Life is Strange was, at least in retrospect, and as I haven't played it personally, that is probably a downside too, but yeah, I'm gonna play the other episodes since I enjoyed the first one, I think that they benefited from going away from the sci-fi stuff, though I would assume that there will be something there eventually, would be odd if they just left that out completely, but I guess I'll see.

Kind of remember this one. I liked it a lot, and I like this one too. It should do its job of deterring big monsters just fine. Was gonna remark on how it could be Level 2 for more Level 2 appreciation, or Plant, but nothing wrong with Level3 EARTH/Fiend. After all, it is an underused typing. I like the sneaky Squire stats xD Ironically, it's named chaos but is it neither DARK nor LIGHT.

Summoning this with Neos Fusion would be pretty interesting, as that would allow you to foolish any HERO Monster while summoning a good and protective beatstick ( even if your summons would be restricted ). Seems pretty cool. This card vs Brave Neos though is debatable, since Brave Neos can search for cards like Miracle Contact.
