  1. As Brian put on the seal on her forehead, something Carmen couldn't help but feel a bit dissatisfied about but didn't dare any raise objections about having the object placed on her, she followed after the man. The two of them walked through the door and found that...nothing had changed. They came out the other end as before and the room itself seemed to have not changed at all. The girl let out a defeated sigh as it seems that their options to what to do were running low. With her head hung low the girl trotted her way over to a nearby desk, sitting down on it and placing her face against the desk for a moment. The girl looked at the photo of the hound Sherlock, wondering what the great detective mutt would do in this situation. Was it possible that dogs could sniff out ghosts? She would certainly like it if that were the case but she had no intention of owning or caring for a dog to bring on a mission, and the thought of a dog getting the job done faster than her also filled her with a sense of shame. "Do you think Shiki would hire you instead?" But not so much shame that the girl wouldn't gladly give her position to the dog. Trying to make her self feel less pathetic, though, Carmen looked down and saw that there was a drawer to the desk. She had searched everything else thus far but she hadn't actually looked inside one of these yet. Of course she didn't really feel comfortable looking through someone else's personal belongings and she was certain that she was going to get in trouble for doing so, more so then if she had gotten the floor wet from the water cooler, but being at her wits end already the girl steeled her resolve and reached down. With her hand shaking, wondering if some kind of jack in the box surprise was going to pop out at her, and maybe maim her, the girl gulped down before finally opening the desk drawer. Inside she had found...mundane papers and office supplies. Letting out a sigh of relief, the girl looked down and saw something else that caught her attention. Reaching down and grabbing some of the candy, the girl couldn't deny the temptation. After all, she was going a bit stir crazy from being confined in a singular room that wasn't her own bedroom for so long. And the candy was right there. The girl looked around, knowing that there was only one other person in this room but still feeling the need to look both ways to make sure she wasn't being watched. Well, she was probably being watched by the security cameras and the ghost was always able to judge her for her actions as well. However, the allure of the sweet proved too much for the girl and she ended up grabbing one. "Mmm..." The girl let out a satisfied noise as she ate the candy and, ignoring her paranoia about being watched had gone for a second. After getting that, though, she figured that there was still someone still in the room fully capable of judging her actions. Looking over to Brian sheepishly the girl asked, "do uh...do you want some?" He sighed. "If you want to just take a break go ahead I'll keep figuring out what to do." Her eyes widened at the generosity the man was providing as she eagerly nodded saying, "oh, uh sure. I'll do just that." Leaving the thinking to him now the girl attempted to turn the computer on several times once more but found no luck. The girl frowned before turning to the modern personal computer; her phone. It turned on without issue and, while she had no idea what password for the wifi this building had, she was able to connect to the internet via data easily enough. The girl pondered how that worked but didn't seem to care to think much beyond it as she browsed through her phone on her break.
  2. As Fen had greeted her guest, Melissa had made her exit, prompting a smile and wave from Fen as the girl left to take care of her own business. Once Kelsey had let herself in, Fen followed and pondered about the options that were being presented to her. Though she was now aware of the arena from her experience a few days back, she hadn't actually seen people fight in it yet and couldn't help what kind of other individuals were gathered here to fight for what she assumed was sport. She was also curious about what sports they had in this world though part of her could imagine that what Kelsey had in mind was likely some kind of martial arts sport. She also couldn't help but feel sorry for whoever this Adonis person might have been. While all of these were interesting to her, her interest was truly piqued however at the final, more unfamiliar option to her. "What's an aquarium?" she asked curiously. Kelsey laughed a bit. "That caught your attention huh, guess I called it." Then explained, "It's a place you go to look at fish and stuff like that. You sorta...walk around and look into glass tanks filled with them swimming around." "Ooooh....interesting" The girl had known that sometimes restaurants kept seafood in tanks of water and then prepared them at their freshest. She hadn't heard any of them be called an "aquarium" before nor were they ever to the scale of what Kelsey was talking about. But perhaps this was just something unique to this world too. "Do you eat them?" "What?" Bahahaha!" Kelsey burst out into laughter, doubling over in the process, and took some time to recover. "Oh my god..." She took a breath and steadied herself. "Sorry sorry. But, no, not at all. I'm pretty sure that'd get you thrown out real fast." "Hmmm, I see," the girl said, a small frown on her face. She hadn't cared about Kelsey's laughter really, and instead was more upset that she wouldn't be able to partake in more of the unique seafood she had found around here. Then after a moment more she smiled. "Well, that's a shame, but I have been curious about all of the different kind of animals here - I've seen a lot of strange, even if familiar looking stuff these past few days. So, that sounds like a great place to go." "Yeah you'll probably see a lot of strange things here. Heck I still see stuff I never saw before." She poked Fen's forehead. "There's one right here after all." As her forehead was poked, Fen couldn't help but feel like something similar was said to her a few days prior. Shaking off the feeling she smiled saying, "well maybe we'll see more by the end of the day!" Excitedly the girl waited for Kelsey's lead before following her to the aquarium.
  3. Sibyl's grin grew wider as she managed to take another chunk out of her opponent. "Yeah yeah yeah, looking pretty small now aren't ya, hahaha," the girl laughed to herself only to be silence as water started falling down on her. "The hell?" With this abrupt sprinkler induced rain, the girl paused for a moment. Looking down at the ooze it seemed to be absorbing the water, growing back in size once more. With a face full of wet hair now the girl's expression dropped further as she said, "hey hey, what's the big deal here!?" Annoyed that all the work she had done to tearing this thing to pieces had been going to waste, she started to scowl and look around. Something had caused this sudden rain fall and she intended to find out what that was and give it the thrashing of a life time. As the girl continued to look around every which way for her perpetrator her eyes finally rested on a figure outlined by the rain. She had heard noises coming from behind her this whole time though she had opted to ignore them entirely up to this point. Whatever it was she figured she could just deal with it once the fight was over. But, without any proof, she was certain that whoever this invisible man was they were what was behind the sudden squall. Her eyes narrowed as a fourth arm grew out of her side, and with an unnervingly calm voice uttered, "oh. I see." The girl broke off into a sprint towards the invisible figure, the calm that was previously on her face replaced entirely with ferocity. As the slime reached out to grab her legs, trying to keep from reaching the man, Sibyl shouted, "I'll get back to you!" and jumped over the arms. With one of her shadowed fists the girl had very easily punched the invisible man, he himself not seeming to put up much resistance. "If you want to get involved in the fight so bad then I'll be glad to welcome to you to it!" The demonic villain then grabbed what she believed to be his head, lifting him up and smashing him back into the ground over and over again, a few curses being muttered from the figure as he was manhandled. Letting go of the man as the slime monster made its way back to her she said, "oh right, you!" Sibyl's expression was haphazardly shifting between enraged and gleeful as she stomped on the man's head, hearing a crunch of glass beneath her shadowed covered feet. "Then I'll just tear you both apart!" The slime used its massive bulk to try and envelope the girl as soon as it got close enough, however Sibyl seemed fine to engage it in a test of strength with this creature. The two arms that had been mouths beforehand slowly started to bulk up and lose any semblance of shape, becoming just blobs of darkness at the end of her arms. Smashing them against the creature's body, pushing it back, the girl then morphed the two other arms coming from her waist into mantis blades beginning to slash repeatedly and tear the slime out one chunk at a time. The girl's eyes then focused on something, a black basketball sized sphere darting about inside the slime. "What do we have here?" The orb was, however, out of her reach. To make matters worse she could feel the slime beginning to try and toss her to the ground once more. However, rather than back off the girl continued to press forward. Turning her mantis blades back to claws, the girl dug her hands into the slime. Rather than just be tossed again she decided she would try its own move against it. As the girl was lifted in the air, with her claws well dug into its body, the slime tore itself in half as the tossed it over her head and onto the ground, smashing the slime there. Getting back on her feet Sibyl, now flanked on both sides by two slime halves, let out a low and feral growl. Eyeing the orb in the bottom half of the slime she said, "let's see how much longer you can play this game of keep away."
  4. With her warning having been issued to Keres and the elves, Ryia saw that the one approaching the elves was not stopping any time soon. The two of them were barely able to handle the one they were dealing with as was, and she felt getting into a coordinated two versus three with two vastly stronger enemies would be much worse then simply splitting them off. As a result, seeing that the wolf was charging towards Pan, Ryia decided to meet the challenge head on once again. As she started she called out, "Ackrin, help those two," to which the earth spirt merely nodded and turned to face them. Ryia kept moving towards the wolf, knowing that if she just stood still like normal it was likely to pounce or grapple her which would put her in an unfavorable position. She would lose in a straight up clash, still, and so decided to test the waters instead. Bringing up her shield, the girl moved to bash away whatever attack it was going to send however the wolf had the faster reactions moving away and getting struck only in the shoulder by her failed parry. Ryia twisted away from the lycan, now close enough to reach for her face, and swung her mace only for it to end up in the outstretched creature's hand. Ryia knew that this werewolf was stronger than her and felt that getting into a contest of pure strength would result in her defeat. As such, the girl quickly stepped back and drew her long sword, only for the Lycan to toss her mace into the woods behind it. The girl frowned, having some attachment to the weapon and feeling annoyed at it just being casually tossed by the werewolf, but would worry about it later. Stepping quickly in the girl swung her sword at the lycan's shoulder, the blade digging into its flesh only for the opponent to quickly swipe and pierce through her armor with its claw into her shoulder in retaliation. The girl attempted to step away to not be in grapple range, grimacing as she felt the pain radiating through her arm, but the lycan had another idea as it continued to put the pressure on her and advance. Thinking quickly to her fight against the previous Lycan the girl slid her foot back again, conjuring once more and earth wall to propel the Lycan into the air. The werewolf hadn't noticed what was happening until it was already in the air, perched on top of her magical construct with unsteady footing, but looked down and poised to dive off towards her. Taking advantage of the situation, Ryia quickly backed away from the wall so as to not be pounced on however was not fully retreating. Once the Lycan had descended, Ryia quickly charged the lycan to take it unaware. The lycan for its part was surprised as suddenly, regaining its footing after landing, it found a blade in its neck. The Earth Chosen continued to press her strength against the sword to keep it lodged in their and, after a howl of pain, the Lycan lunged forward to bite down on her. Bringing up her shield, Ryia stopped the Lycan from chomping down on her, struggling as she pushed back against the creature's mouth. As she continued to press the blade deeper, the Lycan had no sense to retreat and realized in this contest time was not on its side. Grabbing the girl's side trying to push down on her, the girl could feel its strength and weight trying to overwhelm her as she continued to push back. Though her loss seemed inevitable at this point, she suddenly felt a gust of wind push against her pushing her blade deeper into the creature's neck. As the blood continued to flow and the wound grew, Ryia could feel the Lycan was losing strength and decided to keep up the pressure. Mustering up all the strength she could, the girl parried away the head she was forcing back with her shield. While the lycan was tossed off balance, it sent a wild claw out, striking into her armor once more and piercing her side. Wincing in pain once more, feeling the strong claw tear part of her flesh the girl let out a shout before pulling her blade back and swinging once more, digging deep enough into the lycan's neck that the creature toppled over, dead and bleeding. Panting from the wounds she was accumulating as well as how much effort it took to defeat just one of these, Ryia caught her breath before looking to where to go next. Ackrin, meanwhile, continued to stay his vigil. Waiting for a moment that a distraction would aid the two elves, to shoot rocks at the lycan to provide such a distraction.
  5. With excitement in her step, Jacklyn made her way over to the house that seemed just so out of place. Striding with confidence in her step, Jacklyn had made it to the door of the, as she believed it to be, hermit's house before knocking. There was no response. The adventurous girl had thought of several reasons this might be. For one, the house itself could just be abandoned, which would only further add to the mysterious out of placeness it had to it. Secondarily it could just be that her knocking didn't have enough spirit behind it and so the person that was in there didn't hear them. After all, they could be busy doing whatever it was hermits did or maybe even asleep, in which case of course just knocking once wouldn't be enough to get their attention. So she knocked again. Harder. She waited once more, pausing to see if the hermit would answer her knocks this time. The girl was getting ready to go for a third round when the door finally did open. With an older looking woman who said something about food, as she asked Jacklyn who she was the girl gave a big smile. "We're- " before Jacklyn could finish her statement Anima had answered for the group. While it was certainly true that they were "new trainers" Jacklyn couldn't help but feel that there was a lack of passion and zest in that, as opposed to of course proudly proclaiming they were adventures. This disappointment in her teammate's word choice didn't last very long as instead it was replaced with excitement at the discovery of who this woman actually was. "You're the professor!?" Jacklyn didn't seem bothered by either the professor or Anima's attitude towards one another, before stepping up excitedly. "As if I would complain, I couldn't ask for a better partner then Rus. Isn't that ri- oh, right." The girl pulled out her pokeball before sending out the Lepash. "Isn't that right Rus?" The Lepash had no context for what the girl was asking and was inclined to disagree with her immediately before seeing that the professor was there. The typically proud pokemon looked both embarrassed about the situation it was in and apologetic about his trainer's exuberance. The professor's eyes moved down to the Pokemon. She crouched down and lifted Rus up. Examining him all over before looking at Jacklyn. "He's stressed." "Eh? Really?" The girl looked in disbelief as she said, "well adventures can be stressful, I've heard about it, but we're only just started! Besides we already won our first battle and even got a new teammate. Oh! Are you jealous Rus?" The Lepash turned towards the girl, clearly annoyed with her, and let loose a small puff of smoke into her face. Coughing, waving her hand to get the smoke out of her face, the girl locked eyes with the pokemon. "Why you..." Looking back to the professor she said, "was he always like this?" "I can't say I've ever gotten that kind of treatment." She says, holding Rus and idly petting between his ears. "Sometimes with some of the other Pokemon...Perhaps he thinks of you as a Pokemon." She stared at Jacklyn. "You aren't, are you?" Rus seems a bit embarrassed to be pet but also doesn't do anything to stop it. Jacklyn looked confused by the statement saying, "no? I mean, I have this cool bunny decal on my hat. But I'm definitely a human and definitely his trainer." "Hm." She sighed and set Rus down. As she straightens back up she let let out a groan of discomfort. "Well what does that even mean, 'his trainer', do you think?" "That he's my...pokemon? Adventuring buddy?" The girl seemed confused by the question. She frowned and looked down at Rus and spoke directly to him. "You might have to be less subtle with this one." Rus let out a resigned sigh but nodded at the professor's words. Jacklyn, meanwhile was only more confused at the subject though couldn't help but feel like she was being insulted. With another pout she retorted, "well, uh, what's a 'professor' then?"
  6. Lana put a hand to her chin as she thought about the strange predicament that Anna had found herself in. She could definitely understand why her father would think the way he did about her, after all up until this point Lana as well had just thought she was a strange girl who sometimes stared right past her. Now that she knew that Farrah was there she...well okay she was still kind of weird. She could also understand why her dad would want to get rid of ghosts too, after all the undead she had met up until this point weren't something she'd want just wandering around. But Farrah seemed nice enough and Lana couldn't really see the harm in keeping her around either. Looking at the two of them the girl smiled confidently saying, "well, don't worry, your secret's safe with me!" After some time had passed of just chatting the local priest had walked through the door, causing Lana immediately to jump in her seat. Clearing her throat she said, "yup, just us around. I was," the girl looked around to see that Farrah had immediately fled the scene. Letting out a sigh she said, "I was just uh, telling Anna about all the stuff I did. Dungeon stuff you know, lots of monsters and things." As the priest mentioned the fallen candelabra Lana started to look at it nervously, from side to side, and said, "oh that uh...we uh...were very animated, while talking like I uh...showed off some the cool things I did in the dungeon and that...happened. Uh, I'll...." The girl stammered off, looking ready to say something but her face showed that she was physically pained uttering the next words. "I'll...pay for it if it's...broken...no worries..."
  7. Looking to Melissa, a little bashful at the praise that she had received on her win against the spike brother she said, "oh, well, I suppose that's true yes." After a bit of sorting things around, Fen smiled to everyone saying, "I hope everyone doesn't mind me using these immediately," she gestured to the fish in the boxes. Once she was given the okay to the girl got all of her equipment out and started prepping some of the fish for breakfast, while sectioning away some of the others and putting the refrigerator - a device of which she still had conflicting feelings on. Hearing Trevor's question the girl looked up and said, "oh, well, since we have no mission to take care of I figured I would, well, get to know the city better. It's only been a few days and this place is, well uh, bigger than anywhere else I've been so I suppose it makes sense I'm not all well acclimated with the area. But I figured I should know uh, more about the place I'm defending. So well, to that end I sent a watch letter to Kelsey to aid as a, um, guide." At this moment Fen paused as she had suddenly received a notification on her watch. Looking at it, she had seen two responses from the girl she had just been talking about. Ok first of all i have got to teach you how to talk through text lol So you're saying you want to hang out right? Fen stared at the pair of messages for a moment, wondering if she had done something wrong. Well, it was very evident that she had as Kelsey's, who was likely far more versed in this then she was, messages were far shorter and concise. It was clear that Fen had many things to learn still about this world, in all of its intricacies. However, having already blundered on her first message - though Kelsey seemed to still largely know what she was talking about - she was trying to figure out how best to word her next message. Having paused her activities entirely the girl thought hard about the next message she would send until finally she tried to make one with as few words as possible. Yes. Thank you. aight lol ttys Fen blinked at the response. She was fairly certain that Kelsey did in fact want to hang out for the day. She figured at first she just missed a letter or two in "alright," but the "lol" had come up a second time and the girl couldn't for the life of her figure out what "lol" was supposed to be. Was it some kind of dialect where the lol replaced a period? Though the second, equally arcane combination of "ttys" didn't include a "lol" next to it. As such, she could only really assume that the girl said "alright," and could not figure out any part of the message beyond that but simply hoped it didn't matter. After having made breakfast and served it to everyone, not too much longer had passed until a knock came at their front door. "Oh, I'll uh, I'll get that," the girl said to the others as she made her way over to the entrance. Opening the door to see Kelsey behind it, Fen smiled saying, "oh, welcome Kelsey." The girl gave a polite bow saying, "I'm glad you decided to meet up with me today. So uh, did you have anything in mind to check out? Oh, I also just finished with breakfast but you're welcome to anything as well."
  8. Ryia sprung to her feet as swift as she could after Lindow had come to her aid. Though, given her armor and general dexterity this was more like a fast stand up then anything else. Still, with her footing regained and the lycan now on the defensive she had ample time to figure out her next course of action. Glancing to the side she Keres, and a globe of water slowly starting to gather in her hands. Making a mental note of that she focused her attention back on the Lycan who, after a few cautious steps, made its way over to her weapon side and went for another lunge. Though Ryia had been holding out for respect of the elves' way up to this point, her ability to care about such a thing had long since snapped and stepping back the girl stomped her foot on the ground. As the werewolf was midflight it was taken off guard by the sudden block of packed dirt launching from the ground and hitting it square in the gut. With its body slouched against the wall, more on the opposite side of it, Ryia simply took the time to call out, "Ackrin," once more and the spirit had obliged to her request. Unmerging from her, the tall goat had summon a few stones and fired them one after another, pelting the head of lycan before it finally pushed itself off the wall. Now that it was out of sight, Ryia took a deep breath and wound her mace back, getting ready for the moment that it appeared. And as it soon as it had made its way around the wall this time Ryia was the one to lunge. Bringing her mace swiftly down onto her opponents head the Lycan, both likely surprised by her sudden aggression and stunned from the impact of her attack, staggered back only to find another strike from Ryia's mace once again. With an upward swung Ryia swiftly followed up by bashing the lycan's jaw. This time, though, the Lycan had endured through the strike and went to strike her once again. However, Ryia looked to the side, giving a knowing look to her fellow chosen as the claw was approaching her. The werewolf had never managed to land its attack as a torrent of water suddenly blasted it from the side, pushing the lycan back and nearly forcing it to its knees as it did its best to fight against Keres's attack. However, with a clear opening now presenting itself Ryia took full advantage, letting loose one swing after the other onto the werewolf until finally the water had ceased. With the combined efforts the werewolf was brought fully to its knees, yet in spite of its pitiful state still looked as if it would lunge at Ryia the second it could get its bearings again. With a frustrated look on her face, the girl gave one last swing to it, bringing the Lycan down and knocking it unconscious before turning her attention elsewhere. She had heard something during her barrage of attacks, something that had been coming from the southern end of this clearing. She wasn't quite sure what to make of it but still called out, "Keres, watch out. From the south." Then she accessed what her other options were. Briefly glancing to one side she saw that Lindow and Madelyn were engaged with one Lycan. And to the other it was Cym and Pan. She knew Lindow didn't have any trouble when it came to fighting and had been saved by Madelyn's barriers several times in the past. On the other hand she knew next to nothing about Cym and Pan's combat capability, though the fact that neither were dead at this point probably meant they were capable in some way or another. All the same, she had decided that they could probably use her help more. To make matters worse, as she focused on them, she saw another Lycan coming to join the fray, looking to make it an even numbers fight. As such, the girl hurried as fast as she could to join them.
  9. Jacklyn smiled as her companions had come to greet the day with her, not caring for their own disheveled or tired appearances, and was ready to tackle on everything that came her way. However, before the adventure could get started proper Anneliese had something to show them. Jacklyn's already beaming smile only widened more gleefully as she saw the pokemon, saying, "whoa! That's awesome. I've never seen one of these before!" The girl was looking at the with great excitement, both as if she were making a new friend and finding a new toy in a shop, before hearing Anneliese's other comment about it. "And it snuck in here? Which means," the girl put her hand to her chin thinking about it for a moment saying, "that Anneliese you defended our camp and made friends with the perpetrator? I knew you were a real adventurer when we first met! Welcome aboard Roland!" As Anneliese asked about fixing her hair up, Jacklyn got ready to volunteer herself to do so before Anima had already stepped in. She had never done any really styling of her own, both for herself and another, but she saw her sister take care of her hair all the time. And visualization was half the battle when attempting to do something. As such, Jacklyn was more then confident that she would be able to properly work with Anneliese's hair and said, "don't worry, I'll help out next time!" As the group had entered Fernsworth Jacklyn had taken in a deep breath of fresh air, as if absorbing the atmosphere around her. "Ah, the smell of a plain old town!" It was true that there was little to see here and Jacklyn found that in of itself to be a novel experience. She had hardly ever been aware with so little to see after all, that even something like this had kept her energy up. Of course something with nothing to see was still nothing to see and so her attention immediately snapped to the two buildings that Anima had pointed out. Looking at the shack on the outskirts of town, Jacklyn pointed emphatically at it saying, "then let's check that out! A place with a bunch of pokemon just running about that just looks so out of place is bound to have something interesting there. Like, maybe it's run by a ghost, or has some wise old hermit or some kind of former champion or something there!" Without waiting for the consent of the others she shouted, "let's go team!"
  10. Sibyl picked herself back up from off the ground after severing the Hell Ooze's arm, watching with curiosity as it dove after the piece of itself and recombined. "Oh, pretty attached to yourself aren't you?" The girl teased as the slime shot its foot out in a kick towards her. Bringing up her gorilla like arm and digging her shadowed feet into the ground Sibyl caught the foot, skidding a small amount back before grinning. "Let's see if I can't take a piece for myself then!" Bringing her crab claw arm over the girl snipped off the leg from the main body of what she was fighting. Before the goo could hit the ground, though she opened up her other hand, transforming from an arm into something akin to a demonic hounds large head. Opening the maw of the newly formed bestial appendage, Sibyl snapped the slime into her arm mouth and closed it shut. The girl let out a hearty laugh as her plan seemed to work, barely noticing the acidic quality of the ooze as it sat there in her arm mouth, and looked as her opponent reformed to compensate for missing a leg, growing smaller in the process. "Well, well, well, let's see if we can't get it a little smaller." From behind her Sibyl could notice that there was some kind of muttering and beeping noise but hardly paid any mind to it, instead continuing to move to attack the ooze. Lashing out with her crab claw attack, the Hell Ooze side stepped the attack only for Sibyl to then have a third shadowed arm grow out from her side and reach for the creature's head. As she grabbed it her opponent had an idea of its own, reeling its head back and causing Sibyl to go with it, before it lifted her off the ground and suplexed her onto the ground. Though the air had been knocked out of her, it didn't take long for Sibyl to start going from breathless to laughing as she said, "man this really is the best." Using her third arm to help push herself back to her feet, the girl turned her crab arm into yet another demonic hound head, going to take yet another bite out of the creature's side. 11. Lana recoiled back, pushing into Anna, as she heard a sudden "boo" come from behind her. Turning around Lana saw another girl enter the room, which was weird enough as it was as she hadn't heard anyone else enter, only for things to get weirder the more she looked. The girl's body and clothing was almost see-through and, looking down at her feet, it was clear she wasn't standing in place either. Gulping, she spoke back to the girl behind her saying, “A-Anna is she uh, floating?” "Can you float without a body?" “Without a-“ the girl then cut herself off from answering the bizarre question before she started to put two and two together. “You’re…are you a- a uh, ghost?” "That's what they tell me! Well, she tells me, at least." The ghost said. Lana paled, looking the ghost in the eyes for a few moments intently. Staring as if waiting for something to happen. After a few moments more pass she lets out a sigh of relief, and slouched back in her seat. “Oh that’s a relief…wait so has there just been a ghost here this whole time?” "She was there when you first talked to me." Anna confirmed. “Oh uh…” feeling awkward, a little unnerved and then not sure what to make of this whole thing she looked back to the ghost and said, “nice to meet you?” "Nice to uh, I guess...Nice to be seen by you?" The girl sat cross-legged in midair as she thought about the proper word choice for the situation. "See she didn't run away screaming." Anna said, sounding slightly smug. Looking back to Anna she said, “she’s a lot nicer already then everything else I’ve met today. And I don’t run from dangerous stuff anyway…mostly,” she cleared her throat at that last comment. Looking back to the ghost she asked, “so are we like, roommates or something? I’m Lana by the way, but you probably heard that already.” "I'm Farah. Nah, I don't go into other people's rooms...much." She said. "Usually I'm out there." She pointed to the graveyard. “Oh well that’s good at least.” After thinking about it for a moment Lana asked, “are there like…other ghosts?” "Probably. Somewhere." Anna said. "I haven't seen any..." she frowned, and it seemed like she was disappointed by this. "I-I see..." Lana wasn't sure what to make of Anna's tone, after all Lana herself didn't ever think she'd want to come face to face with a ghost. Even now, with Farrah being a lot friendlier then she'd have expected from the stereotypical ghost she had heard about she wasn't exactly comfortable about it. Add to that the awkward atmosphere and not knowing exactly what to talk about with a ghost. Looking back at Anna she asked, "does your Dad know she's here?" She looked back at the candelabra at the floor.
  12. With the course having been set the group was now ready to make way to their destination proper; the ruined castle of Aerstroff. There wasn't so much of a road that lead them there but as they continued further they would begin to see the clear signs over the horizon of where their destination was. While the clouds overhead were always overcast and the world always had some shade of gray to it, the area where the castle had been was a different story. The clouds over it had always been black, as though they were threatening to pour at a moment's notice, and flashes of lightning could be seen quite frequently. Though this would be worrisome on its own, the castle as well seemed to be adorned with several of the lightning rod spires that they had seen up to this point in their journey. Though no matter how long they walked for the clouds and lightning never seemed to calm into what one might consider a more natural state. The second unsettling indicator of them getting closer to their destination was the sudden influx in Drengr. While they weren't an uncommon sight the sheer quantity of packs would be a bit unnerving. Those further from the castle seemed to be fairly normal in their demeanor, which is to say on the prowl and hunting for whatever they could. Were the group to get close enough to them they would find them attacked by the Drengr though the threat they posed was minimal and their near immortal bodies made any injuries they could supposedly sustain a non-issue. As they got closer however, there seemed to be a clear shift in their demeanor. They were less preoccupied with the Exalted and more looking towards the castle itself. It was difficult to tell if it was some kind of fear or reverence that they had towards the location but after distance had passed it was clear that they weren't getting any closer. Once they got close enough to the structure proper they were able to now full appreciate the height and scale of the building. Or perhaps complex would be a better word for it. The spires, from a distance, had looked to be taller then the average ones they had seen thus far but upon closer inspection it was not because the spires themselves were larger so much that the foundation with which they were built on was more elevated. The entire castle had rested atop a large hill, starting at a gradual slope that got steep as it went until it presumably flattened out where the castle started properly. In addition to this natural fortification there was the large stone wall that surrounded the entirety of the castle, which seemed to stretch as wide as the entire village of Aersinn had. There was one, obvious, entrance to this building that the group could see immediately; the main gate. Though in the time of its prime the gate would have actually done its job in barring off intruders the remnants of its were on the hill leading into the entrance as well as the archway that would've supported it being long gone, a clear sign of break and ruin in the castle walls. This was not to say they would be able to just waltz right in, though, as at the top of the entrance was several Drengr. Seven in total, made of various animals between hogs and hyenas. Though there was one that they'd have difficulty making out just what kind of animal it was, but it was notably much larger and menacing looking then the others, quite like the lion had been in their first engagement. Most notable about these Drengr, however, was that their weapons were not nearly as crude as the others they had seen thus far and they actually wore metal armor - the large one being difficult to discern its identity as its entire body was covered in this steel armor. The Drengr were not immediately aggressive, and in fact upon seeing the Exalted on the hill opted more to watch then just charge blindly. It was clear, though, that their duty was to guard and it would likely result in a brawl to get through them. If they took the time to look however, they would be able to see that the walls of this castle area were old, weathered, and cracking at some points. While they didn't have the fire power to break this stone, if they walked around and examined the perimeter of the area they would find that they didn't need to. Towards the back of the castle area was a large break in the castle's wall, exposing a hole into the interior of it. It was far enough off the ground that they would need to do some climbing, and perhaps use some degree of magic to reach it but it would spare them the first encounter with the Drengr, assuming none other were waiting for them on the other side of this hole.
  13. Carmen was glad at least that Brian hadn't scolded her for wasting their time in what ended up being a fruitless endeavor. The girl then wasn't quite sure what he meant by having six other ways to leave, though only felt her anxiety grow and build into actual physical recoil as he attempted to break the wall with the chair. Startled by his brazenness to find an exit Carmen had immediately started looking every which way above, paranoid about whatever security staff might've been watching (or would watch) what had just happened and wondering how in trouble she was going to get. She could barely afford living in her apartment as was, but having to deal with being sued by some office building on top of that for property damage would certainly put her into financial ruin. Her nerves were only set off even more as Brian then swept off a desk and asked something of her. The girl looked between him and the ceiling several times, dumbfounded by the prospect of having to actually go up there and do...something, to find their way out. Carmen had been rooted in place at first, shaking at the idea of having to traverse the internal area of this office by herself. She had seen movies, she knew that nothing good ever came about from crawling up in spaces like that. Of course the more she thought about the more her other options didn't seem really good either. Either Brian was angry with her and she was stuck in the room with an angry Brian, or he decided to try it himself and left her here by herself in the middle of an infinitely looping horror room. So, meekly stepping forward the girl awkwardly hoisted herself onto the desk. It was stable enough to hold her weight though her footing made it feel like she was afraid it was going to collapse at any moment. Looking at the hole in the ceiling, the girl gulped nervously before finally managing to reach up to the ceiling and grab onto the ledge. It was a struggle. The amount of upper body strength needed and the amount that she had available were not in good proportion with each other and it was more her floundering and throwing herself upward until finally enough of her body was up in the ceiling that she could pull herself through the roof. "Wha-!" The girl let out a surprised yelp as suddenly her upward movement turned to downward movement, and inner working of the ceiling were replaced with the same office room. Flopping onto the floor the girl let out an, "owowow..." as her face buried into the office carpet, wallowing in her moment of failure. Finally, picking herself back up the girl let out a dejected sigh, looking to the side as she mumbled, "sorry...I'll just uh..." And without really explaining herself the girl went to go back to where Brian had been, opting to make herself useful by cleaning up the mess that had been on the floor and not wanting to leave any mess for the eventual return of people in here who could be angry with it. Grabbing the notebooks, the girl opened them up, flipping through the pages by habit to see that all there had been was several types of innocuous lists such as, "things that are yellow," or "things that are soft," and yet another picture of the devil boss from behind the poster. While the first time she had seen it it had elicited a chuckle from her, the repeat failures on her end only made it feel like the devil was also her own boss silently judging her. Shutting the notebook closed and placing it back on the desk, the girl went to wander about the room aimlessly, checking the other desks in the process. The desk at the top right of the room was where she wandered to first. While it also had a computer, that wasn't on, it provided a good deal of information to the girl that she didn't realize she had been missing. Such as a humidity checker, stating the room was a bit dry and eliciting a need to get water from Carmen. A thermometer that said it was 65 degrees inside, making her wonder if she were perhaps dressed appropriately for such weather. Two calendars, one a desk calendar and one hung up by geometric shapes, letting Carmen know the exact date in two different ways. And a clock that read 7PM, making her all the more cognizant of the time and growing antsy that they would be trapped here all night. There was also two bottles of hand sanitizer, one mostly empty, but Carmen thought it taboo to use another person's hand sanitizer without permission. Meandering about eventually to the exact opposite end of the room to the last desk in the room, the girl's eye immediately focused on the corkboard that had several cat pictures on it. She wondered if their dog owning neighbor and them were friends or bitter rivals. Stacks upon stacks of sticky notes littered the room as well, making her wonder what kind of amount of note taking this man had to do, though it seemed he was also quite busy learning or innovating with the several coding and programming books that littered his desk. Seeing something more colorful on the desk as well, the girl looked over to try and get a closer look, only to immediately back off with a blush on her face. Seeing a figure of a bikini clad girl from an anime Carmen, wondering what tonight's episode would be like in her own anime she was watching, couldn't help but mutter, "...how brave...."

  15. Sibyl looked all the more intrigued as the former entity she thought was Hellhound was turning out to be less and less like the person she had just met. She wondered if they some kind of a twin or if one of their beasts had the ability to shape change like this, but this went no further then the cursory thought that produced these ideas. As the large, bestial Hellhound towered over her and clasped its hands to strike down on her, Sibyl thought she'd follow suit with it. With a wide grin on her face the shadows on her arms began to grow larger and form bulkier, thicker arms. Rather than the clawed, long arms that she typically made these were more akin to that of a gorillas. Clasping her own hands together, the girl swung them towards the arms of the Hellhound look alike and smacked into them, letting out a noise and feel that was much less like skin and more like she was hitting something incredibly viscous. The arms of the creature were deflected away, smashing into the ground next to her. Not stopped by her attack, it started to drag its arms across the ground towards her ankles. Sibyl, not one to back down from a direct clash, had shadows begin to cloak her legs as she braced herself. Then, clenching her fist, she sent another punch into the face of her opponent. The punch smashed true, but quite like before the attack didn't seem to have the impact one would expect from hitting another person. Instead the face rippled and distorted as her fist went deeper into it then it should have a normal human. As the creature's arms struck her legs the girl grunted and fell back, a portion of the attack being absorbed by her shadows but still being enough to cause her pain and knock her off balance. Despite this, a smile was still plastered on the girl's face. "You're some kind of freak aren't you? Or some kind of freaky creature? Well, if punching won't work how about I try to tear you apart instead!" Propping herself back up on one arm, the girl's other arm enlarged and the shadows reformed into something more akin to a crab claw. Extending it upward, Sibyl went to grab one of the things biceps, attempting to bisect it off with the grab of her newly formed claw.
  16. Lana continued to sit back reclining, thinking about the days events and spacing out as she stared at the flame of the candelabra. At first she didn't pay much mind to it other then the light it provided, but soon she couldn't help but notice the way that the light was moving was anything but regular. As she continued to stare, trying to figure out what was happening, candelabra eventually leaped from its perch onto the ground, letting out an audible crash that was accompanied by Lana's audible "ahh!" Shifting back further into the pew, the girl's nerves from her exploration before were being set off once again as she looked every which way to make sure that there was some dark entity creeping up - Poke Lana yelped, feeling a cold press against her cheek with a voice accompanying it, forcing her to turn to face her assailant only for her turn to be stopped by the finger of them still poking her cheek. The girl looked up to face her poker, staring with wide and fearful eyes. Then, after seeing who it was for a moment, she let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, it's just you Anna," her voice slightly warbling from the finger in her cheek. "No, I was just sitting down and resting...well, I wouldn't want to sleep on this anyway." The girl pulled her face away from Anna before asking, "do you uh, sleep here?" Anna looked down at Lana for a bit. "No. I sleep in my bed." She tilted her head as if confused by the question. "No I meant - well, no you don't." She had learned as much on one of her first days here. "Nevermind." The girl cleared her throat, finally collecting herself. "Well anyway, I was just getting ready to go to bed anyway. I had a pretty hard day in The Dungeon, and a whole lot of things didn't make it easy on me either! Also I'm not sure if I can look at tombstones the same." She mumbled the last part. "Oh. How did you look at them before?" she asked. As she spoke she moved around to sit down next to Lana. "Like they showed you where dead people are or something." Thinking about it some more she said, "they still do I guess, but like now I have to worry about if those dead people are just gonna try to eat me or claw my face or something. Did you know for being literally nothing but bones skeletons have terrifying grip strength. And the least they could is die without a head or something! And there were so many - do people bury dogs around here?" "I see." Anna said. "Not here, no." She looked off at the other end of the church. "Do any of the people in the graveyard ever get up?" She is silent for a while seeming to be listening. Then she looked back. "I don't think they can claw your face from under ground." "I've never seen any, and I really don't want to check right now..." The girl looked to the other side of the church with Anna before looking back to face her. "N-no they don't - they were above ground. Walking around like, raaaa," the girl stuck out her arms, mimicking a zombie's movements. "Raaaa?" Anna copied, in a monotone voice, and raised her arms up similarly. "I don't think they do that up here..." She then looked over at the spot again. "Maybe the Ptoma family knows more about that." "I think the less i get involved with them the better then." Letting out another sigh, this one more exhausted, the girl looked over and remembered how dark it was suddenly. "Oh uh, right I don't know if your candle holder broke or something it just kind of...fell, uh yeah....I didn't do it, if your dad asks." "Oh. I know who knocked it over. She does that sometimes." Blinking for a few moments, the girl looked around and said, "...she?" She continued looking in that direction, as if trying to find some kind of stray cat or something. You don't see anything there at all, and Anna just nodded. "Yeah, her." she pointed to the empty space near where it fell. Lana rubbed her eyes and looked again. Then back to Anna, then back again before looking back to Anna with a raised eyebrow. "Are you messing with me?" "Why would I do that?" She asked. "Hm?" She looked over there. "Why?" Silence. "She's going to be here for a while." Silence. "Eventually she'll have to." Silence. "Because I'm not going to stop talking to you." Silence. "I'll ask." She then looked at Lana. "Do you want to see?" Lana looked between Anna and the empty space she was talking to, only growing more confused and irritated before the question was asked. Skeptically, and a little on edge from the day's events she just said, "sure..."
  17. With the group making their case clear about who they were and where they were going the conversation had hit something of a lull, silence only filled by the heavy rain and wind. They would also find any more talking to be virtually impossible as the lightning that was previously only seen in the distance was now much closer. Any darkness that the cloud cover had provided was cut away in almost an instant as the world around them was flashing with near blinding white light. Lightning relentlessly struck the spire, bolt after bolt, creating a deafening explosion of instantaneous thunder. The hunting party, aside from keeping their ears covered, seemed completely unfazed by this event, acting as if it were more a minor annoyance then anything else. Though perhaps the barrage of lightning lasted for only ten or so minutes, those ten or so minutes were filled with nothing but the thunder's sound, and the sight of lightning striking in almost a ring around the spire, threatening the Exalted's lives if they dared to step away from its safety. Eventually the lightning passed. And then the rain started to grow lighter. The winds calmed. Until finally the same overcast skies, albeit darker from the time of day, and the same ambient noise of Thunder were all that remained of such a thing. The leader of the hunting party sighed and said, "a short one at least. Alright everyone, dry off." The group began to make way for the tarp, pulling it off to reveal several crates, large wooden dowels coming out from either side of each one. Going over to one of them they lifted off the top, pulling out an assortment of towels, each of them taking the time to dry off, with the leader addressing the Exalted again. "Oh, feel free to use one. If you don't the rain's likely to get you sick." The Exalted, of course, would suffer no ill effects from this passing storm. Once the group was ready once again, the leader said, "we're going to be heading off now. Faster we get back to town the better, and I don't want to get caught up in another storm. Much less safety between here and there. I still don't really know if I believe the whole Exalted business but I can just ask Luca anyway. If you guys are telling the truth then, well, good luck. Be careful about what fights you pick and be even more careful around the Accursed's lair. I can't say I know much about him but if he's nasty enough to cause all of that lightning then he's probably someone you want to steer clear of." If none of them had any more to say the hunting party would leave the Exalted to their own devices.

  19. As she was awaiting the answer from Anima, it had appeared Anneliese had come back. And with sticks too! "Good job Anneliese! I knew you had an adventurer's spirit in you! Or I guess a survivalists in this case?" The girl questioned, thinking about it for a moment before saying, "survivalists and campers are just other types of adventurers." Nodding at this conclusion, she then said, "we just about got the tent good and ready to sleep in!" Looking at the two eagerly she said, "oh, do you think this'll be like a sleepover or slumber party or whatever? They sound pretty fun and with teammates it sounds even better. So let's get that fire roaring and get ready to eat and sleep!" After emphatically shouting about something so mundane the girl then said, "oh right, yeah. We were just talking about ghost stories. You know any Anneliese? Oh I can't wait to tell some tonight!" The night had passed without incident, for Jacklyn at least, before she got out of bed. Waking with the rising of the sun, a natural morning person, the girl got out of her tent before shouting, "gooooood morning!" Stretching her body out, breathing in the fresh air and feeling the sun across her face, a large smile across her face. It wasn't as though this was the first night that she had spent out of her home since starting her adventure, she had plenty of mornings at sea to add to that. But this was the first time she had woken up with the feeling of nature all around her. Despite her adventurous spirit, she had never actually ventured out to go camping on the outskirts of her city and sleeping in the parks, especially at her age, was not allowed. "It feels like it's really starting...for real now..." The girl smiled, muttering to herself as she looked towards the horizon. After a moment of basking the girl then shouted, "alright everyone! It's time for adventure! And the backbone of all adventure is traveling and seeing new places! So let's get going!"
  20. Ryia had stood silent, barely able to watch what had happened. She felt that there was something wrong with the whole situation. Monstrous as the lycans may have been in legend, speaking with them now she could tell that they weren't just mindless beasts. That they had some form of rational thinking capability and that maybe, somehow, there would be a way to reason with them. If at all possible she would have wanted to find out what that reason was, why things between the wolves and elves the way they were and why the wolves were as violent as they were. Perhaps it was just in their nature to be violent or to hunt whatever was in this forest. Perhaps they did just have some kind of thin veneer sensibility to cover up the monster that was truly inside. The old adage of a wolf in sheep's clothing, though they were hardly sheep when not dressed as wolves. If that were the case it was perhaps wrong for the girl to try and speak with them in the first place and naive to think a peaceful solution could've been found to start with. And, if they were just monsters what was the harm in actually killing them? It wasn't like she hadn't fought beast's with no regards to their feelings before. But she also didn't just kill the dragon because it was a monster, one that could very well cause a lot of harm in the future. Her mind was whirring with what ifs and trying to sort through her own feelings, as Reinaan stepped up to challenge the leader. And her thoughts came to a halt as she saw the sheer gulf in strength between the Draken boy and the Lycan man. She had enough sense to respect the duel to begin with, restraining herself with each hit that was delivered to to either side and only growing more uncomfortable with each time Reinaan was bested until he was finally laying as a heap on the ground. As the man began to undergo some kind of feral transformation, Ryia felt herself step forward no longer to hold back before that too was interrupted. Damien had appeared to save Reinaan though he had also seemed worse for wear himself. It was also clear that he had been in some kind of struggle before actually interrupting Lucas, as she learned the leader's name to be, and started conversing with him. The situation was slowly deteriorating though, as the lycans had begun to emerge from the forest and as Keres had mentioned there was no running from this fight. Ryia was getting ready to enter combat, reluctant as she had been, only to pause as Lucas had referred to himself as Damien's uncle. The girl's head was already whirring with a bunch of questions that were likely not to be answered any time soon but all of those had come to a halt at this revelation. She looked at him, eyes wide with surprise. "Uncle?" The girl questioned, half muttering. She couldn't really piece together what her feelings were at this very moment. She wasn't sure what to make of Damien either. He had always been mysterious with little to be known about him. Ever since they had met, ever since he had pointed a sword to her throat, every time he seemed to get distant or simply vanish there was something off to her in all of his actions. And now it was revealed to her that he had some kind of monstrous blood flowing through him. As such it was only natural that her eyes had some kind of fear of him. But, beyond that, there was something else. A different kind of fear. A fear for him. She didn't really understand it herself, she didn't really understand anything about the whole situation they had found themselves in, but she had found herself at something of a breaking point. The bandits. The gnolls. The minotaurs. The sharks. The bird. The scorpions. The reptilian beast. The giant crab. The elves. The ghosts. The dragon. The lycans. The bloodstained blade he carried. All of it came rushing through her all at once, only for all of it to just as suddenly blank out and pause. She broke her gaze from Damien. Her fear and confusion faded from her face as she did. She locked eyes with the Lycan behind Lucas, her expression becoming one of frustration and anger. Her grip tightening on her weapons as she banged her mace against her shield shouting, "fine!" The werewolf took to this challenge immediately, bounding forward and on all fours towards Ryia. Though she had certainly lost her patience, the Earth Chosen hadn't lost her sense, instead stepping forward to meet with the wolf head on. "Ackrin." The spirit, at her call, merged with her body providing an increase to her durability. As the distance closed, the wolf brought its claw up and went for a quick swipe at Ryia. Stepping into the attack, the girl brought up her shield, blocking the attack and holding her ground if only barely against the weight of the beast's claw. She could tell already how powerful a foe each of them were, and could tell that she was already fairly ill suited to fight them but didn't back down regardless, swinging her mace into the creature's ribs. The Lycan, surprised by the girl's strength, took the hit though continued to go on the offensive, opening its mouth to take a bite of her. While Ryia herself was unable to act against the lycan's attack it didn't matter. A wall of light was erected between the two, keeping the werewolf's mouth forced open as it tried to simply chomp through the wall itself. Taking a step back, Ryia reeled her arm back and as the wall of light shattered the creature's efforts were soon met with a mace striking its face. The beast's head was forced downward, blood trickling from its nose, before it raised it back up and went to pounce at Ryia. Rather than trying to artfully dodge or defend against the attack, she instead met it head on, smashing the creature's face yet again as it grabbed her arms and threw its body weight against her. Pinned to the ground, though the situation looked bleak, Ryia continued to angrily and defiantly stare at the creature head on as it opened its maw to attempt yet another bite. However, this time it was thwarted as its head was suddenly encased in water. Trying to push through it quite like it had the wall. Ryia could hear the sounds of effort coming from Keres and knew this wouldn't last forever, so she attempted to force her arm out of the grip of the lycan and smash her mace against its mouth and teeth.
  21. Fen found herself getting out of bed rather easily, getting ready to prepare herself for whatever the next day had to offer. Her morning, though, was greeted with a new story about some kind of skeleton sighting by a graveyard. Skeletons and graveyards often went hand in hand with one another and one of the earlier missions she had heard about involved such a thing as well. Giant skeletons, however, was more worrisome. Though it didn't seem to be some kind of invasion, as they hadn't received any real alert to go deal with it, Fen was still concerned by the sighting especially if it was something that was both not an invasion but also not common place. Regardless, the girl got out of bed and made a note to check on it later. Looking at her watch, she thought about what exactly she should do today. There wasn't anything pressing to take care of, they were well stocked enough in their pantry and all that left was to go explore the city some more. Though, doing so by herself would be a bit daunting and lonely at that, so she would have to go with someone else. She could invite both Melissa and Trevor to come along, though both of them were newcomers to this as well so it would've perhaps been better to have a guide of sorts. That left a few people that she knew but only two of which she had the contact information for. Fiona had reached out to have a fun time yesterday so the timing to ask her had already passed and there was a part of Fen that figured she was the last person that Fiona wanted to see today. So, all that was left was Kelsey. Looking at her watch, scrolling through the various functions she managed to get her way back to her contact list and find the girl's name. And then she waited for a moment. Fen had always been in the habit of accepting invitations instead of actually sending them out, always happy to go along with others tasks but fairly reluctant to actually things of others. So, a part of her was hoping that some cosmic coincidence would occur in which Kelsey would message her at this very moment in order to hang out for the day without any social effort on Fen's part. Unfortunately the universe was not so kind as to provide this to the young hunter. No, this was something she had to do on her own and just as she had wanted to assume the mantle of leadership for their team, she similarly would have to put herself out there in order to change. So she opened up her messages. Fen had been quite experienced in writing letters. She handled a good deal of clerical work for the guild as her seniority increased and also translated this to helping out on the business end with her family's restaurant. So she pondered for a moment before sending her message. Good Morning Kelsey, I hope this letter finds you well on this day. I had been wanting to explore the city but am currently lacking in a guide to go see things. As such, I was wondering if you would like to offer your seniority and experience on the matter to aid me today. The actual contents of where to go do not matter to me, simply that I wish to learn more about this city that I currently live in. If you are busy at this current time that is quite alright with me as well, and I would instead just ask when, if any, time would be good for you. Thank you for your time and consideration, -Fen Yi. "And send." Fen let out a sigh of relief as she did so, having managed to actually use her watch in such a way. There was a part of her that was still on edge, worrying if she had actually achieved what she wanted to with how she used the device, but only time would tell. For now, she would go meet with everyone downstairs. "Good morning, Trevor and Melissa." The girl smiled and waved as she entered the dining area. Hearing Trevor's question the girl answered, "oh yesterday was wonderful. I learned about this new card game called Yugioh that, well, Melissa herself seems fairly well acquainted with. We even had a match against Fiona though, I'm uh, I'm afraid I might've just been weighing her down." Seeing the others having already helped themselves to some food, Fen began to go and get something for herself when she heard an unexpectedly familiar voice echo throughout the building. Walking over to where it was coming from, her face lit up as she said, "Aduain! I wasn't expecting you to be back so soon. How uh, how was your trip? Oh, wow, you seem to have a lot on you." The girl walked over and saw what he had, seeing several boxes of cuisine and said, "oh, everyone's just about starting their day off so you came at a perfect time." Looking at the rest of the gifts, her eyes went over to the card that he had brought along with him, and after a moment said, "do you uh, do you also play Yugioh?"
