  1. Noting interest, because why not. I'll get an app done soon, but don't quote me on that.
  2. "No way! I don't stop for no one! Told you before you wanna follow me you're gonna have to keep up! I'm aiming right for the top man and it's a steep climb!" "Ugh, good grief..." Somehow Lesnar knew he was only wasting his breath with friendly suggestions, but he expected this kind of response nonetheless. Even though they were almost done, it made sense that slacking off towards the end had led to many downfalls, which he kept in mind as he continued to make the final sprint. Even though Valerie sounded rather winded herself, she still managed to stretch her lead towards the gate, which waned his spirits slightly. However, he didn't slow down. Despite how physically and mentally exerted he was, it would have to wait until he was safe behind that fence. With Valerie now basically gone from view until the last several meters, Lesnar could see her talking to one of the teachers. He expected to have to converse with him as well until he saw him bolt out into the field, presumably desperate as he had hardly noticed Lesnar. Lesnar instinctively slowed down to look back in curiosity, but he immediately snapped out of it for one last couple of seconds to get through to where Valerie was standing. At last, he was safe and victorious... at least he assumed. "Heh... looks like I caught up with you once again..." Lesnar wheezed as his body crumbled to the ground, leaving him lying prone and nearly unconscious. He had made it. Now it was time to rest.
  3. Looks like it's another one of those nights where I have plenty of free time yet just don't feel like doing anything I want. Welp.

      Fonts are such a pain.

  4. Gonna be dropping out cause I don't feel the slightest bit prepared or committed. Gonna be keeping an eye on this, though.
  5. Although the maneuver was rather rash and prone to catastrophic failure, Lesnar followed through. Again, tucking and diving to sway around the playing field, Pip's leg was but a mere obstacle to dodge as Lesnar's arm managed to find its way down between the demon kid's thighs, landing a blow right where the sun don't shine. Just like last time, the impact did a number on Lesnar's other arm, leaving them both mildly damaged and in pain along with some psychological pain felt in his own balls as he felt the one's of the victim contorting to the crushing force that befell them. Once the attack followed through, Lesnar took that moment to find friction, however his feet could not do the job as his center of gravity kept going and caused him to fall and tumble. Even though it wasn't as bad as it would've been without the help of the soles of his shoes, he had enough tumbling on concrete as shown on all the scrapes on his skin. Regardless of how an olympic judge would rate the landing, Lesnar took a second to let out a loud groan of pain as he slowly got to his feet, heavily slouching from exhaustion. It was all worth it, though, as he saw Pip lying there out cold. Seeing this while the world around him was driven silent by the monstrous ringing in his everything was quite the mixed feeling, but the one that stood out was satisfaction. He had won. As he limped over to grab the last badge, he looked over to Valerie, seeing that she has gotten a victory of her own. "Seems you managed pretty well didn't you Lesnar? Good work! I'll be heading out now if you want to come with better get ready I'm not intending to slow down." Lesnar knew Valerie was speaking to him, but it was only until near the end of her statement when it was made remotely clear. Anything she had said before that was a murmur that was drowned out by tinnitus and delirium. He figured she was congratulating him. Based on that assumption, he counted his badges to realize he had all five needed to pass the test. It wasn't until he saw her booking it in the direction of the entrance when he realized it wasn't over yet. "Ugh, of course..." he groaned, letting out a sigh as he jumped and shook to loosen up for one last push, "Well, guess I'm running." He knew he couldn't use another surge, at least not right now. He started to sprint, despite how not in shape he was. Within a couple minutes he found his breath starting to feel like dust was sticking to his throat, but he would have to recover once he was through. He would eventually catch up with Valerie as she made the same attempt. "Oi! Wait up!"
  6. Stating interest and reserving Teleportation.

  12. You mean besides food? You might've already seen it in the Discord, but it's relavant:
  13. I suppose you could include Clank, because technically you play as both of them. So yeah, Ratchet & Clank, not just Ratchet.
  14. That's a very good question. It's difficult for me to think about for a number of reasons, the biggest one being the ideal candidates were from games that I might've played a while ago that I don't really remember all too well, and even for games that I've played more recently, my brain is usually just turned off while I'm playing them and it's usually all a blur. The one that comes to mind right away is Geralt from Witcher. That kind of memorability from protagonists just comes with the environment of roleplaying games with premade protagonists that you play as because as you play, everything you do and every character you interact with reveals bits and pieces about the character that you either come to appreciate or take into consideration for certain moments. With all the time I have playing Witcher 3, I've learned so much about that particular character that their acknowledgment is so much deeper to me than that of other characters. However, just because I know more about a character than others doesn't necessarily make them "better" because we also have to consider the fact that Geralt is basically just a sociopathic mercenary that will do pretty much anything for money, mainly killing targets by request of the payer. Sure, you'll often have the option to not do that out of either sympathy or indifference, but the point lies in the nature of their trade. He has so much experience doing this type of thing that he is basically numb to it, which to me docks a couple points in terms of personality. This also applies to other action RPGs, since the whole "blood-thirsty mercenary" thing is pretty common in those types of games. Take Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey, for example. Both games you're exploring the world, accepting missions for money and experience, and mixed between all that is a story that they want you to follow to progress. Either way, regardless of how different they try to make it, it's usually the same general idea. So with that out of the way, back to the original question: Who is my favorite game protagonist based on character quality and not just from how much I know about them? Taking that into consideration, I find myself thinking of characters from platformers like Ratchet & Clank or Crash Bandicoot. The latter seems kinda shallow, cause I mean... he's Crash Bandicoot. He's literally just a brainless bandicoot running, jumping, and spinning to survive. Hell, he can't even speak (at least his original design couldn't, then he was sold off to people who had to change him for the sake of changing him, but that's beside the point.) Ratchet, however, is more interesting because he is actually fairly intelligent while being particularly goofy and charming at the same time, so he makes for a good contender. (Though you might realize that I excluded both Spyro and Jak from the subject, and that's because I inversely don't find them as interesting as their rivaling counterparts.) Another good one that comes to mind is Tak. Just some aloof kid exploring the world and learning it for himself, but in a time of need learns to use various abilities given to him by his guardians as well as communicating with them for help, all while respecting the nature of his surroundings and taking out anything that threatens it. Nothing else seems to come to mind, so putting up Ratchet and Tak back to back, my choice would be Ratchet from Ratchet & Clank, mainly because of his skills with mechanics and various application of technology. Tak is great, but magic doesn't necessarily strike me as "interesting" when put up against clever (if not also goofy) engineering.
  15. Lesnar was in full adrenaline mode as he lunged at the hand girl. For a second, he had no idea where he was going until he felt his arm make contact. The impact put much more force on his arm than he anticipated, nearly straining it. He realized that he wasn't one of those heroes in those action flicks he saw growing up, and even to those heroes he figured they only made moves like those look easy. This was a perfect example of how the reality of being a hero was way different than what they make it look like. Regardless, he let the attack follow through as the girl started taking on the brunt of the hit, causing her to be launched in the direction that it was aimed at. With the dispatch, the girl was sent flying in the direction of the demon kid as he went in for a flying kick in Valerie's direction. His timing was right on the money as the kicker withdrew to catch his teammate as she flew towards him, tumbling down the road on impact. "You're too soft. Let us handle it." Lesnar could only bearly hear the demon kid speak to the girl as the world around him rung like crazy, "Keep 'em safe...and if we lose, you just keep goin'!" "Shit, these badges are heavy..." Lesnar grunted as the adrenaline began to wear off, allowing the effects of his strained movements to take a toll on his body. He wasn't exactly the fittest person in this competition, but one thing is for certain. He had to pass. If he didn't it was all for nothing. With a deep breath, he prepared himself as the demon kid came charging back and wound up a roundhouse kick. There it was; the perfect opening. It was too obvious. One of Lesnar's arms began to feel sore, so it seemed to be time for his other arm to get to work. With another surge of force, he propelled himself once more towards the demon kid, finding his path and following it which led his arm to weave right between his legs.
  16. So I've played and watched both, but Sunshine gets it for me. As much as I love Zelda, I much prefer Sunshine's gameplay.
  17. Gotta give it to Twilight Princess. Shame I couldn't vote based on opinions from experience, but it is what it is.
