  1. If it’s not too late, I’d like to note my interest. Will try and get an application up as soon as possible. ===Work In Progress==
  2. What kind of stuff would people like to see in a possible Yu-Gi-Oh RP?

  3. Just nitpicking here, but you should probably specify where the monsters you are targeting exist. Are you targeting them on the field? In the Graveyard?
  4. Haha, touché! Yeah, Cyber Blader stuns everything. Previously, it was all of the opponent's effects (including Continuous ones). Now it's just activated effects. To answer your question, I personally would run this at 2-3 (it's pretty much better than Polymerization in every way, except that it can't be searched) along with x2 Skater and x2 Etoile. I think I'll create additional supports, perhaps something that searches this card...
  5. Finally got around to adding the personality and writing sample sections. Application is done.
  6. That's a fair critique, although in my defense, Lunalight Fusion has a similar effect as well. Lol, Cyber Girls are NOTHING! Just a weird hodge podge of unrelated effects... Without the Special Summon lock, you can splash this card, get out Cyber Blader with 1 card, and then lock your opponent out of effects for the rest of the turn. That's pretty strong, no? Yeah, I specifically worded that way in case I end up making more Warrior "Cyber" Fusion monsters or in case Konami actually ends up releasing more...
  7. Yeah... This is more or less the point I was trying to make. This is pretty degenerate considering how easy it is to summon.
  8. Ah.. So you made it even stronger by removing the restriction on the summoned monsters having to be previously used as Fusion Materials? Haha. Now it’s almost like a monster reborn on drugs!
  9. BASICS Applicant: Saiba Aisu Name: Rashad "Shadi" Al-Najjar Alias: Diviner Age: 22 Gender: Male Species: Human APPEARANCE: Image Reference Height/Weight: 6" / 170 lbs Build/Complexion: Well-built / Dark brown Hair: Thick curly black hair, worn long on top. Sides and back are cropped close in a high fade. Eyes: Hazel Clothing: Uniform: A form-fitting blue bodysuit with black gloves and combat boots, composed of special polyfibers that provide enhanced protection against extreme temperatures and certain types of radiation. Largely devoid of ostensible decorative elements, except for a shimmering golden symbol on his chest, depicting a stylized eye. Casual: While not on active duty, Rashad's standard outfit consists of a blue and white striped tank top, black harem pants, white elbow/knee guards, and bright blue sneakers. He also wears a simple metal necklace, featuring a crescent moon with a single star. ABILITIES Powers: Extrasensory Perception ("DIVINATION"): Shadi's primary metahuman ability (and the inspiration for his operative codename) allows him to instinctively sense future events, effectively granting him a form of clairvoyance. He most commonly employs this power in combat situations in order to predict and counter enemy attacks before the opponent launches them, as well as to avoid seemingly unpredictable ricochet damage, despite his fairly average reflexes and hand-to-hand combat skills. For all its usefulness, however, this ability is not foolproof—predicting the future is a tricky business and like most things in life, destiny is rarely set in stone. For this reason, he tends to use his powers of divination as a guideline rather than a strict rulebook, especially when attempting to predict more complicated, nebulous outcomes. In some cases, the future can be extremely unpleasant and even haunting, making this gift a double-edged sword that is both a blessing and a curse. Psychokinetic Energy Manipulation ("THE EYE OF HORUS"): The nexus of Shadi's extrasensory/psychokinetic powers is located at the center of his forehead. When it manifests on the visible spectrum, it takes on an almond-shape, resembling a "third eye" of bright golden light. The Eye of Horus serves as a conduit that sharpens and focuses Shadi's powers, allowing him to launch destructive bolts of golden energy from his forehead, as well as granting him limited telekinesis/levitation. Expert Pickpocket ("STREET SMARTS"): Shadi didn't spend six years on the streets of New York City for nothing. You'd be hard pressed to find a more street-wise guy than Shadi, who excels at passing undetected and "flying under the radar" when the need arises. Apart from his quick mind and even quicker hands (he was once quoted as saying, "I could steal Green Lantern's ring, take it for a joyride, and put it back before he even noticed!"), he's also got a gift for putting others at ease and getting them to open up, even if it's against their own interests. Equipment: Titan Communicator: A standard Titan Communicator equipped with a state-of-the-art satellite-based tracking system, ideal for relaying information and surveying the surrounding area during missions. PERSONALITY Shadi's personality is best summed up by the phrases "lovable rogue" and "rough around the edges." Sharp-tongued, quick-witted, and more than a bit rebellious, he's developed something of a reputation as a loose cannon over the years, earning himself the disapproval of some of the Justice League's stricter members in the process. His interpretation of the rules, in particular, tends to be quite lax rather than letter-by-letter. Nevertheless, despite his mischievous ways, irreverent humor, and singular talent for getting himself and others into trouble, at his deepest core, Shadi is true as steel and doggedly loyal to those he cares about. Although he's unaware of it, viewing himself as just another run-of-the-mill hero, there are actually a lot of hopes riding on his shoulders, due to him being one of the organization's unofficial poster children for the possibility of rehabilitating former super-powered criminals through hero work. 10. Card Art: Saiba Aisu Dancing Fusion Normal Spell Card Fusion Summon 1 "Cyber" Warrior Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Materials. If your opponent controls a monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, you can also use monsters in your Deck as Fusion Material. You cannot Normal or Special Summon other monsters the turn you activate this card, except "Cyber" Warrior or "Cyber" Fairy monsters. You can banish this card from your Graveyard and target 1 "Cyber Blader" you control; apply an effect listed on it that depends on the number of monsters your opponent controls until the End Phase. You can only use each effect of "Dancing Fusion" once per turn. I wanted to create a fun card that would revitalize Cyber Girls as an archetype, while also allowing for combination plays with Cyber Angels. Assuming your opponent controls an Extra Deck Monster, you can use this card to Special Summon Cyber Blader using monsters from your Deck (Etoile Cyber and Blade Skater) as Fusion Materials. You can then banish this card from the Graveyard in order to apply Cyber Blader's third effect ("Negate your opponent's activated card effects") until the End Phase, allowing you to play without interference. From there, you can use cards like Machine Angel Absolute Ritual to recycle Etoile Cyber and Blade Skater from the Graveyard for Ritual Summons.
  11. Pretty cool idea for a card. The ability to search for any given "Fusion" card is pretty strong, considering it gives you easy access to things like "Brilliant Fusion" or "Miracle Synchro Fusion," which could get pretty degenerate depending on what else you're playing.. I do like how it functions as a De-Fusion for your HERO monsters, that's a nice touch.
  12. Yay! Glad to see this is finally up! Interested!
  13. Yeah, I was about to say that. We humans are, as a general rule, very emotional creatures with an unfortunate tendency to make flawed illogical decisions. I didn't really understand the example of the sorcerer-king and rebels. Sorry! I understand that people can have opposing ideologies. What I'm referring to specifically (and what I'd like to improve) is my ability to convincingly write characters whose worldview is different than my own. So, for example, as a gay person, I feel like I would struggle to write a convincing heterosexual romance. That sort of thing. I guess in the end, there's nothing for it but practice! And perhaps trying to broaden the stuff I read.
  14. I'm not sure I've actually ever gotten around to really writing a character I fundamentally disagreed with. It's definitely something I'd like to challenge myself with in the future (hopefully soon). I think part of it is that I'm not sure I could convincingly write a character that is very different from me, especially when it comes to things like sexual orientation or stance on politics/religion. Do you have any advice for breaking past this barrier?
  15. Finally decided to give RP Hosting another shot! Wish me luck! ♡

  16. /EDIT: Apologies! It would seem you are not currently accepting applications. I guess I saw the other recent posts and jumped to conclusions! Please feel free to delete this comment.
  17. Welcome Jad! Unless of course you prefer to go by your old name, Face McShooty! In that case, welcome Face!
  18. Tongue Twister DARK/Level 6/Fiend-Type/Effect/ATK 400/DEF 300 If you control no monsters: You can Normal Summon this card from your hand without Tributing, and if you do, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn. If this Normal Summoned card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can banish this card from your Graveyard; draw 2 cards from your Deck. I basically tried to make it so that you can still profit by either tributing this card as a cost for cards like Enemy Controller, Dark Spirit Art - Greed, Tyrant's Temper, etc., while preventing abuse by locking down Link Summons. Not sure if it's any more playable this way, but I gave it a shot! Cyber Prima
  19. I know what they do, I just haven't played them myself. I wasn't asking you to explain the card effects, just your win condition and how the deck has been playing for you (win-loss ratio, dead hand ratio, performance depending on certain common match-ups). The Goddess Continuous Spell Cards (which you seem to have edited out from your original post), seem a bit clunky. Intentions aside, you did indeed come off as rude. I'll leave you to it.
  20. Tell us a bit more about the deck... Have you already tested it? What's your win condition?
  21. Not trying to be shady or facetious here... Anyone mind explaining why the community migrated here from YCM?

      MACHISMO Is A Luticia Simp

YCM was down for about 2 weeks early January, so the mods got sick of it and made this forum.

    2. Sleepy

      Sleepy

YCMaker took like 2 or 3 years to make Xyzs available in the card maker, then never made Pendulums, much less Links. The Card Maker lost its connection to Photobucket and lost all card arts and the ability to generate uploads for cards or art on its own. Bots started running rampart and adds got more prominent as mods and regular members alike wanted an actually active head with the power to fix things.

YCMaker doesn't really communicate with its member base the way he did back before the 2010s. Finally we had that sudden down time on Dec 28th that lasted like 2 weeks, and word one of our peers got the admin's IRL address and made some good old nagging to get him to finally pick up the messages and bring the site back. During that time many members considered it the best time to finally migrate everybody. YCMaker said he'd get new staff and upgrade the site when the site finally came back, but nothing has happened and if anything, the site went down for a day yet again yesterday.

      That's what I know/have heard in a nutshell.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, guys! Definitely wasn't aware of all that... Hopefully things will go well on this new site!

  22. This entire flamenco-inspired album (El Mal Querer) by Rosalía is absolutely brilliant and worth the listen. "Malamente" is probably her biggest hit, but this song is also one of my favorites.
  23. These are adorable! Wow! I love your art style and how you went about making each dragon embody a different weapon - very creative!
  24. Noting possible interest. I've been toying with the idea of a Star Wars / Intergalactic Bounty Hunter RP for the longest time, you have no idea... Having said that, the plot for this RP seems a bit sparse. Do you have any idea what the story would be like?
  25. It's a pretty cool idea. I'm actually really tired of seeing the amount of negation that people are playing, whether that's splashable handtraps or fairly generic Extra Deck Monsters that do the same. It all seems focused on building an unbreakable board and playing solitaire, as opposed to meaningfully interacting with each other. Moving on to the card itself, I would say the logic behind it is fairly sound, though half your LP seems like a rather steep price to play it from the hand, especially when compared to cards like Struggling Battle and Infinite Impermanence. If you're going to keep that LP cost, consider making this card's activation and effect unable to be negated. I feel that would be a fair payoff and would follow along with the theme.
