  1. Team Iron Spider Benjamin was in...what one could call a rock and a hard place, though at this point, it was Crimson Wings and Eyesnal...and to top it off, Atsushi had launched a bright red, sizzling orb in his and Risa’s direction. More specifically… Behind...damnit...okay, keep cool O’Hara. he thought before, glancing at Risa. “Hang on, moving left!” he said, immediately moving to the left and avoiding the orb of whatever Atsushi launched at them. Risa was not so lucky. The strange flux orb struck her in the shoulder as Ben jerked them to the left, her right shoulder blossoming with heat and pain. Risa let out a gasp, her hand snatching out and painfully grabbing a fistful of Ben’s hair in the surprise and agony the orb had created. It faded swiftly, but a persistent, searing pain kept pounding in her shoulder. She looked over to it and saw that the shoulder of her school sports jacket had a massive hole burned into it with black edges around the corners, and her skin beneath it was a vibrant and angry red. “Risa, are you okay? Also...glad nothing was pulled out...otherwise I'd be Benjamin NO'Hair-a...” Benjamin he joked, looking up while trying not to let out a loud yelp of pain after having a fistful of his hair yanked like that. That’s when he noticed the burn mark on her shoulder. “O-Oh jeez...I-I’m sorry!” “say when,” was the only quiet reply back. Risa wasn’t looking at Ben whatsoever. Breathing hard, with one eye squeezed shut, her other was trained on Mayu, and the bola around her arm. Benjamin nodded, whilst a few of his spiders did their best to make a makeshift bandage for Risa's burn mark. "Alright…" he looked in Mayu's direction before glancing upwards. "We'll also have to get fly-boy up there...but something tells me, we can bait him." he said in a hushed tone. Risa reached to her belt with her left arm; her right was still trembling in the wake of Atsushi’s attack. She took a weight from her belt and threw it up into the air, a simple toss that only had it fly a few feet. At the top of the arc she pushed, and to all appearances the weight soared up towards Atsushi, propelled by no visible force. It started to peter out at about fifteen meters distance from the pair, making it less than halfway to Atsushi before it started to fall back towards the ground behind Mayu, who was already beginning to advance again. “I can’t do it,” Risa forced out through stress-induced tears. "Okay...you did what you could Risa...we can do this." Benjamin nodded, before shifting slightly. Regardless of what happened or not, the resourcefulness of Risa did surprise him...it only further proved his point on her being perfect as his partner this round. His right hand flicked again, watching Mayu beginning to advance. "So, instead of running away you're approaching us? Pretty bold of you, four-eyes." He smirked, taunting Mayu. "And honestly, fly-boy up there ain't doing any better. Talk about a bore-fest!" That part he said loud enough for Atsushi to hear. "I've honestly seen starlings scarier than you." “Atsushi and I are here to win, not to entertain,” Mayu retorted, stopping in her path before she was within arms reach of the pair of opponents. If she was going to get within swinging range, she wanted them to force it. For the sake of trying, Mayu lifted up her bola-bearing arm. She certainly didn’t appreciate the weight of this thing, and the cords were positioned just right so that she couldn’t open any eyes worth having on that arm. With a sigh, she lowered that arm, raising her still-free arm instead. “All that running around with another person on your shoulders is going to wear you out soon enough. I just have to keep you on your toes until then, then take your points and run.” In an effort to do precisely that, Mayu’s raised arm opened a trio of eyes along its length, launching a brief and coordinated barrage at Ben and Risa. One eye focused on the ground around Ben’s feet, one focused directly on Risa, and the third went for where Risa ended and Ben began. Benjamin only smirked, before moving out of the way...in what seemed like the most impromptu dance sequence...but dodged nonetheless. He hoped for poor Risa, she wasn't getting whiplash from the sudden movements he was making...then again, he figured she'd understand. BGM Once the barrage seemed to end, the young man simply stared right at Mayu with the widest grin on his face. "What you call running around...I call elaborately laying a trap." Benjamin said, before taking both his hands and making an "x" motion in front of him. That's when Mayu would feel them…if she didn't sooner. Quite a number of spiders now began to bite at her...more specifically, in the areas where the eyes had appeared on the length of her arm. This would most likely keep her occupied for a moment, while he moved his hands again, now getting a few to start weaving a web around her ankles. "Hey Risa...NOW!!!" he said sternly, knowing this was the only opportunity she had. With the signal given, Risa pulled whilst keeping an eye out for Atsushi, seeing if he was coming in lower...
  2. "Anotha human! Where do all these suckers keep comin' from! I'll get rid a you myself! This is Kunemon territory!" Elton made the effort to dodge with Berg, doing a dodge roll the moment he felt the sensation of the agro. Lovely... He put Berg down and accessed his menu in a quick manner. There was the option he sought: Scan. "Hmmm, best figure out what this thing is and figure out what we can do." he said, already lining his HUD with the Kunemon in front of him. After a few seconds, the information he sought was in view. Kunemon. Level: Rookie. Type: Larva. A Larva Digimon which has lightning-patterns all over its body. Although it is uncertain whether the lightning-patterns on the portion considered its face can are organs equivalent to eyes, because they change shape in in accordance with its emotions, it is said that they probably are eyes. Its personality is fairly malicious. Its Special Move is an electrically-charged thread of silk spewed from its hard beak (Electric Thread). If you get entangled in this thread you can get knocked out by the intense electric shock. "Rookie level...hmmm, if memory serves, you aren't that yet." Elton looked at Berg, who acknowledged this. "Well, looks like this will be what we do then. Honestly, only someone not thinking clearly would rush into a higher leveled Digimon when it's clear you'll need to grind to get to Rookie." "Less talking! C'mon Elton!!" Berg chimed in protest, bouncing up and down. Downside...I don't think I can access my DigiCards until he reaches Rookie level...so I guess we're just doing this the old fashioned way. Elton thought, before nodding. "Alright Berg, let's do it!" Battle On! Elton looked at his Hiyarimon and the stats it had. Unfortunately, it only had one move to utilize: Diamond Dust. He quickly selected it and took a look at the information it presented: spews cold breath. Well that was helpful... he thought, before looking down at the Kunemon who seemed poised, ready to strike again. "All we need to do is avoid getting struck by the Electric Thread attack and we should be good. Ready for it, Berg!" "Born ready, Elton!" "Alright, let em have it!" Elton declared, extending his arm in the direction of the Kunemon. "Diamond Dust!!" Berg shouted, blasting a series of cold breath at the now rushing Kunemon. It was making a beeline straight for the Hiyarimon, and while it was slowed down, it still arrived and knocked Berg back quite a bit. "Ow ow ow...!" Elton now saw that the Kunemon was moving towards him and about to strike at him. He dodged out of the way, but needless to say his leg got hit and he immediately felt the shocking sensation from the attack. "N-N-Not...cool..." Could really feel that...damn, you really can feel the pain in this...impressive. he thought, getting back and looking at Berg. "You good, buddy?" "Y-Yeah...never better!" Berg said proudly before unleashing another Diamond Dust towards the Kunemon. Elton hoped they'd be able to last a while, but if his theory was correct, this was the first place to grind and get your partner up to Rookie. Once that happened, things could progress with no problems.
  3. Chase “Just about ready to call all aboard. Little bit ahead of schedule too, guess that means we really do’ve got the gods on our side. Suppose that means this is a brief courtesy: is there anything else you need to do here? Anyone you need to talk to, any final advice? We’ll wait for you, of course, but I do have to know.” Kitt was about to say something, but Olivander went off mentioning about David and Pfeifer, both of which were currently no where to be seen. Not a wonder why Hinder's Dog was searching for them...for the day (or rather two) they've been there, he had bonded with those two children quite a bit. Then again, he wondered about why he bonded with them so closely. It didn't seem...normal...then again, Hinder worked in ways he knew not. "...damnit Olive..." Kitt sighed, before looking at Helmsley. "I'll work on getting him back. Just keep doing what your doing sir...and Flynt, you help him. It'll keep you out of trouble!" he said with a sly smirk, before making his way after Olivander...who already had an IMMENSE lead on him. Still...it's unlike him or rather, any Dog of Hinder to have an attachment and bond with someone like this...let alone with children. Kitt thought, chasing after Olivander. There probably was something more to this in the long run...there had to be, at least in his mind. Why else would he throw caution to the wind just to go after these two boys?
  4. "After all, we're a bit lopsided in terms of who can do action duels, so I think this is a fine time for Sai to step up as an action duelist. Maybe see what it's like through Daichi's eyes." This made Daichi inwardly cringe at hearing that Sai would be the one to step up as the Action Duelist, already figuring that his teammate would be able to see what he did when he performed...they were polar opposites and last Saturday proved that. Still, perhaps this would be something that could possibly bring them together...maybe...who knew. "Yes, exactly! Eve, Sai, you two have homework to practice or at least spend time together this week. Same with Daichi and Falisha. Teamwork is important, and fostering friendships is a big step towards that! I'd like it if you guys just... did this of your own volition, too, but let's start off this way. Nice and easy." "Homework from you?" Daichi asked, smirking lightly. "I think that's got to be a first, coach. You happen to be the type to never want to give us homework, buuuuuuuut I guess we can let that slide this time." he chuckled, before looking and moving in the direction of Falisha. "So, you have any plans this week? Cause seems like we're gonna be 'homework buddies' for this week." Falisha, the Russian Adamancipator Duelist...the Synchro Summoner and Turbo Duelist. To Daichi's credit, she was one of the more colorful members on the team when she Dueled, namely utilizing the various stones and minerals in her Duel Runner...perhaps talks of something like that and the applications of this onto an Action Duelist and entertainer like Daichi...perhaps this combination was just perfect! Same time, he figured this would also make him possibly an assistant to her in her studies if need be. Honestly, he was fine with this...whatever happened would happen and it would definitely fall in line with Vega's homework orders. Truly a win win situation.
  5. "Guess now's as good a time as any to ask you guys what you do with your time when you're not falling through portals and fighting robots." Oh, Zane knew that his own answer wasn't going to be as grandiose as anything presented here, but hey...the lemur asked a question and who was Zane to not give a proper answer? But luckily for him, Ken spoke up first. "Well...when I'm not fighting for my life or getting sent away from my Grandpa's house...I'd usually spend all day kicking trees. He didn't let me go out much, either...I basically only went to town with him to get Groceries. Gramps wanted me to study all the time, but I hate studying! It ain't really my forte. So instead of reading some old books, I'd sneak outside and start working up a real sweat! I wear weighted gear all the time too! Gramps said that I'd need to be really strong one day, so I could hopefully save all of Mobius! I think this is what I was needed to be strong for...this whole disaster thing...but he sent me away like I hadn't been ready for it my whole life. I wish he would've let me fight alongside him...we could've taken on that whole army! AH! Sorry to drag down the mood like that, but I'm not very interesting...what about you guys!? You guys seem to know a lot about Mobius...I'd like to hear about your stories!" "Well, that takes the cake for the story that has more to do about it than anyone else." Zane chuckled, shaking his head slightly. "But I guess I can indulge you guys in some stuff from my end." he said, still making sure to keep Chimera cooled off, though once he was the arctic wolf would stop. "I come from the Northern Tundra, or at least, that's where I was born and raised. Currently I'm living in Metropolis, ya know, trying to find myself and what not." He paused for a moment, tapping his chin slightly. "Hobbies include snowboarding...when I can...and...well...guess that's sorta it on that part. Truth be told, I'm a chill guy. Out of everything, this here has given me the most excitement of my life."
  6. @yui JEEZUZ CHRIST!!! My dude I feel for you...shit this is like, wow.
  7. "It went well enough. So, what were you looking for in the library? Books about magic? You make it sound like a pretty big place!" "Not just books about magic, but quite a few other genres...includi-..." Trevor was about to continue, but Melissa caught him with her own question. “How was Mauvache, though? Did you have to make an appointment to see her or did you just walk in? I need to talk to her too, I think… at some point, at least.” "Hold that thought." he said, looking to Morgan before addressing Melissa. "Well, I was able to just waltz in, however I believe that it would be courteous to actually set an appointment up for our meetings. Barring that, the meeting went well, she was quite able to answer the questions I originally had, but seems like my worries were for naught. Nevertheless, it was quite the exhilarating conversation with our esteemed hostess." Trevor then looked back towards Morgan, smiling. "Now, the library...various genres from, quite frankly, VARIOUS authors and possibly different universes and multiverses, in what I could assume. I simply went there to learn more about Rama-Indri and Prana...but alas, it simply gives out the bare bones creation myths about this world...quite a lot of talk about this...Great Dragon...unknown currently what this dragon did before in the times of war on this world nor what the dragon did to end the warring. Alas, some mysteries are left in shadows, it would seem."
  8. There's a lack of EX Files in the Chaos Files Blog in regards to the Emerald Endurance Race...does this mean I win?
  9. Elton Walker | User: AllUrBase His alarm ran off, though the young man groggily woke up, looking at the clock. That definitely tracked, seeing as the sun really wasn't out yet. A yawn escaped his mouth as he got himself up and ready, glancing over at the Digilizer he got the night prior at the game shop before getting off the clock. After all this time, his pre-ordered copy of Digimon World Online was here and he was ready to go. With another yawn, Elton finally walked out of his room and made his way down to the kitchen and immediately rummaged through the fridge and grabbed his box of leftover pizza. Sweet comfort of cold pizza...guess old college habits die hard... Elton thought, grabbing a slice and immediately scarfing it down before receiving a text. While retreating back to his room with the pizza, he looked down: a text from mom. I'm already at work, have fun with the new game, Elton! Are you sure you don't mind me playing the game? Sure you don't need me to do anything else for you? No son, you've done enough for me. It's your day off, just go have fun. Elton sighed, shaking his head as he put the phone down after simply texting her to have a good day. Still feel like I haven't done enough... he thought, turning his computer on, letting it run the scheduled diagnostic before finally logging into it. He immediately got to the DWO launch site and it was counting down until the servers were open. ...still...I've been waiting for this for a while now. Hopefully the hype for it was well worth it...and maybe I can gleam some ideas and implementations that I can get for developing my own game one day... While he waited for the countdown to near it's completion, Elton immediately did a search for what he could expect and what he planned on getting throughout the game: Digicards. He planned on going for the Card Master Tamer Class and as such, he had to definitely familiarize himself with what was a single use and what was a permanent Digicard. Oddly enough, while he could've immediately grabbed something like "WarGreymon" to use it's "Gaia Force" technique, or even "MetalGarurumon" to use it's "Cocytus Breath"...but what he decided to go for...was something something strange. He double-clicked the card link of the one he pretty much selected: Surfimon. Basically he was giving his Digimon and himself a method of travel...at least in theory. Using this card would allow him to use the mecha Digimon's hoverboard, "Dash Silder", while also allowing his partner to use the 'mon's attack technique. Perhaps the weirdest flex anyone would've had with this Card Master thing, but hey...having a mount in a game was always something good. So why not this? "Hopefully I can find the right cards and get that collection going on." he muttered, sipping some water he had nearby. "Unsure if there's an achievement for the card collecting, but I'm sure it'll all be good." Elton alt-tabbed to the previous screen and saw that the countdown was in the 60 seconds time frame. It was time. The young man prepped himself the best he could, already hooking him up to the Digilizer before smirking. "And one last look at this Massachusetts city before entering VR..." he snickered to himself. "Here goes nothing...DWO, Log in." Logging in... User: AllUrBase... DIGILIZING NOW! BGM Being broke down into code...it was a feeling Elton NEVER thought he'd ever feel and now that he did, it was something so weird. Sure, this was revolutionary in realm of coding and virtual reality as people knew it...but he wondered if there was a method to do this WITHOUT it feeling so funny and weird. But once it was finished, there's where he was brought up to what he was waiting for: Character Customization. Sure, everyone was pining for the MMORPG and free roaming capabilities and even the ENORMOUS amounts of Digimon to have at their disposal, but what was an RPG game without the character customization? ...alas...what he THOUGHT was Character Customization, it was simply a "Thank You for Pre-Ordering" banner...and then it was nothing more than hints and tips. A little...disappointing, but he didn't mind. Though while logging in, the loading screens seemed...to take longer than originally intended...so that wasn't good. Fucking lag...even with being broken down into code...games still have it...guess some things never change. Damnit, now I'm gonna be late!! What seemed like forever, Elton finally was released from that hell, and finally was loaded into Asuka City. And upon being loaded in...he simply marveled at what he was seeing. Before anything else, Elton opened up his menu and looked at the options he had. He double checked everything was in working order...so far so good. Upon closing the menu, he looked in the direction of where stood another individual who just ushered a poncho-clad individual off...Kazuki Iwakiri, the studio's CEO. Seeing as he probably missed the initial welcome by the CEO (damn you lag...damn you), Elton figured he'd make his way over towards the CEO...after all, while he didn't pre-order the game's collector's edition due to money, he did at least pre-order the game...so that's probably something to at least assist in the long run! (...it really didn't...) "A lot of late logins it seems..." the CEO sighed. "AllUrBase...how retro. I can appreciate someone who enjoys a classical meme." "Thank you sir. Would've been here sooner, but there was a bit of lag on my end, so that's on me." Elton sheepishly said. "So I'll apologize there. I'm sure the opening ceremonies were something spectacular, as you're known of doing." "No apologies required. We were expecting some late logins...would you like to meet your partner now? Or should I lag a bit myself?" Iwakiri laughed at his own joke. "Certainly! ...with the meeting of my partner, not the lag." Elton quickly jabbed back with the joke. Iwakiri nodded, playing with his menu panel for a moment before an egg descended from the sky. As it hovered in front of Elton, a Digivice would also present itself from out of seemingly nowhere. "I'm sure these will be very useful on your journey in DWO. Be sure you take care of them." Elton took hold of the Digivice, now seeing it shine with a bright light, so much so that he actually started to be blind by it...to which he sort of shielded his eyes some. "Hm..." Iwakiri would hum to himself upon seeing the light Once the light faded, Elton hooked the Digivice to his belt for the moment as the egg began to hatch as it was hopping out of his hand. Soon enough there was a small white creature, almost like a little baby snow creature. Elton was about to kneel down and grab it, but it immediately hopped up and down for a moment before glowing again and changing into something else... "Hm? Oh it's you!!" the creature with the icy dripped nose said happily. "Elton...Walker?" "Yeah...that's me." Elton smiled, immediately picking up the creature. "So, we finally meet Berg!" "You remembered my name! Yes, I'm Berg! I'm a Hiyarimon! Let's go!!" Elton nodded and was about to just run off, but stopped real quick. He turned back towards Iwakiri and held a hand, remembering something. "Now, with the Card Master class, I assume the DigiCard I selected is already in my inventory?" "It sure is. One Surfimon board, as selected. Radical choice." He double-checked, immediately opening his menu and opening his inventory. Sure to form, there it was: "DigiCard - Surfimon". Closing the menu once more, Elton nodded and gave the CEO a small bow. "Thank you, sir! I'm hoping this game ends up being a rousing success in the long run for all involved." "Hey!! Less talking, Elton...let's goooooo!!" Berg cheered, causing Elton to smile. "Alright Berg...let's go!" he said, putting Berg down and the two immediately rushing off. "Time to really enjoy this gaming experience!"
  10. Top E4? Hmmm, well since you said no Champs, I'll be nice and leave out those who were E4 but were also Champs, so no Lance found here. Fair is fair...in no specific order: 1. Koga - A former Gym Leader...DIDN’T SEE THIS COMING DID YA? He was one of the favorite Poison Type users, plus he had the ninja aesthetic and young me adored that. 2. Lorelei - This icy lady, honestly, she's pretty cute looking. Combination of red head and glasses, I dunno. Looking at it now, probably why I liked her so much was because of how pretty she was. Don't judge me. 3. Grimsley - The Dark Type users from Unova. Just his over all design was a reason I liked him. I mean he literally looks like a Honchkrow gijinka...tell me I'm wrong! 4. Malva - Fiery E4 of Kalos. Pretty much the same reason as Lorelei, but this one stems from a general enjoyment and like of the Fire Types so seeing someone like her was pretty cool. Plus, again, she kinda cute. Again...don't judge me.
  11. Not as much as I'd like...but Sai did inform me of the next Summer Event for FGO...and I want it for one reason only... ACHILLES HAS A MINI TARASQUE ON HIS SHOULER AND I WANT THIS COSTUME, DAMNIT!!!!! ...also I want a mini Tarasque plushie of it too but that's beside the point.
  12. And I still have a team...I'm being smart
  13. File 4 - Don't Put on the Red Light
  14. Do you remember...the 6th day of September? Remember remember, the 6th of September... Other terrible quotes that may or may not be screwed with just because of the date and month that's here: ask questions...that is all!
  15. "I must make a tactical retreat for now...do not die before I have the chance to rip you apart myself, Mobians! CHAOS CONTROL!" Crisis averted...but the machine just...teleported and or vanished? With a red stone that looked eerily similar to the one that Ken had...strange...very strange. Regardless, Zane let out an exhaustive sounding sigh as he lifted his arms in victory somewhat. "Awesome...guess that means we win?" he asked, looking over at Flurry then Ken and lastly Chimera. Then of course, Chimera seemed to wonder what to do with them...but luckily Ken was already in the mode of peace talking...so seemed like things were already in a good standing as the robot began to lead them somewhere. That didn't seem ominous... "I don't know if we can trust this guy...but It's not like we can leave anytime soon." "As I mentioned to you before, hedgehog, you are on the Island known as Eggland. A creation of my brilliant creator, Dr. Robotnik. This island is miles away from any sort of Mobian mainland...you'll be stranded here unless you can find a way to get across the sea." "Across the sea?!" Zane was floored at the sudden revelation of this. So not only was he not in Metropolis anymore...he was MILES AWAY from any Mobian mainland. He rubbed the bridge of his nose slightly, letting out a heavy sigh. "This is not a frosty situation at all...can also probably say good bye to that paycheck Harvey and Becky were going to give me..." He shook his head slightly before noticing Chimera falter and explode in an array of sparks and collapsed on the ground. "Something's wrong with him! Is either of you good at fixing whatever the hell he is?!" Zane moved over and looked at it...just as he feared: he had NO Mobius idea what to do in a situation like this. But, if he had to make a wager, Flurry did. The arctic wolf looked at the lemur and whistled. "I think this might be your forté, Mr. Techs-My-Game." he said, before turning back towards the bot and cracked his knuckles. "Give me some space for a sec, Ken." Without missing a beat, he made the air around Chimera colder and watched as ice started to form around his metallic body, most likely steam coming from this happening. "I may not be able to do tech related things...but I can at least cool the bot down a bit."
  16. Last Saturday It seemed that the worst was behind them...and now, they were going to be going out for their victory. And before she left, Vega placed her hand on Daichi's shoulder and gave him a soft smile, patting his shoulder and stepping away. That must've meant he was doing good...right? His outward appearance showed he was...inside, however...still didn't feel like it. Earlier Today Vega wanted to talk to the three that Dueled in the previous match...and wouldn’t you guess it, he was scheduled first. Not surprising, considering he lost first and whatnot. He hoped this wouldn’t be just a moment of him being yelled at in general, but then again, this was Vega and not Sai. Daichi eventually strolled into the club room, where he saw Vega sitting down at the table. The young man, with a bag of his strawberry frosted and rainbow sprinkled donuts in his hand, already scarfing one down. “How’s it hanging, coach? Tell me this isn’t one of those moments like I used to have being sent to the principal’s office.” he laughed with a smile on his face. “Oh, you want one?” he asked, holding the bag out in Vega’s direction. “Ah, I’m good. I’m trying to watch my weight, but thank you!” the coach laughed brightly, before motioning for him to sit down. “And… no, I wouldn’t call this that exactly. But I’d like for you to tell me how you felt about your match, first and foremost.” Daichi took a seat and scarfed down another donut before putting the bag down. “Of course. What do you want to know exactly?” “Mmm… how do you think you did? How do you feel like it went? After all, the crowd seemed to cheer for you… but you also felt a bit off to me afterwards.” “Off? Me?” he started to laugh a bit, before shifting in his seat and then looked at Vega again. A slight sigh escaped his lips and his smile faltered. “...was it that obvious? Then again, guess you were always the one to see past that...even when you first got me in recruitment.” Daichi sighed again and ran a hand through his hair. “The Duel was amazing, don’t get me wrong. You know I was in my element and I played it up to a tee...it’s just...I didn’t expect the Action Field to change. I completely forgot that something like that was possible. And when it did...the Action Cards got shifted into something that Miss Honey was more familiar with, while I...” “Well, if I can interject,” Vega reached over and put her hand on his that sat on the table, “I think you did absolutely spectacularly. While you and Sai have different ideas about entertainment and what passes, I know for sure you acted on what you believe. Did you not notice before the Duel?” “The way the audience was captivated in the beginning moments before the Duel? With the grand entrance? Really, kind of hard not to notice that.” he had a small smile emerge, shaking his head slightly. “No, not the audience. Your opponent. I figured it might be the case based on the announcer, but… look at the replays again." That's when he noticed the area Vega spoke of it... "...led by their captain, Action Duelist Honey Froswald! Some of you in the audience may recognize her as the younger sister of Major League Champion Elliot Dritte! Can she live up!?” “...Can he measure up to the sister of a champion!?” "She spent the intro of the duel and a good amount of it looking upset. Looking annoyed and angry. But, by the time you got close to her at the end, she was smiling. Why do you think that is?” Daichi watched the replays again and again. Honey did seem annoyed and upset, but through the Duel...she began to smile. “Was it because of the atmosphere I ended up setting up?” he asked, looking at the replay intently now. “...compared to what Sai’s was...” Daichi cut himself short and glanced at Vega. “Alright, I’ll bite, coach...why do you think this is? Cause I know you’ve got some ideas going in your head about it.” “You didn’t get scared when he said who she was or anything. You treated her like a person. You kept putting on a show. And I gotta tell ya, I was worried you’d crack!” Vega laughed a bit, rocking back in her seat and grinning, “But… you absolutely impressed me. You stood your ground and faced it head on. So, you may not have won your first professional duel… You may have found out some weaknesses in your deck and your reaction time… But I’d still count this as an absolute victory. Oh, and… It’s hard to gauge popularity in the minor leagues, but you do seem to be relatively popular for your debut.” “...yeah...” Daichi nodded, a small smile still retained on his face as he pulled the Pendulum Magicians out, looking at them. “I...I got a lot to think about in reworking my line-up for my next performance...a lot...” “You can do it. Show the world who you are and what you believe in, and you’ll make it far.” Today "Anyway, while I encourage more discussion of the Duels since you've had time to think about it more, I would also like you to each look at your messages. I've sent info on the next team we'll be up against, and, well... It's a somewhat newer team, but one with a lot of fans and a lot of success so far. To the point that a number of the duelists on it are considered Major Circuit worthy or better. I'm not saying that I doubt you guys, by any means, but... do not take Team Free lightly." Needless to say, Daichi had been glancing at the information on this Team Free for a bit, was also doing some heavy reading and research...on what exactly? Action Fields and their correlating Action Cards as well as potential ideas for editing his deck, He needed to work with things...speaking of... "Now... We won't know who they send out against us on Saturday, but we still need to be prepared. We only really have Daichi for Action Duels, so I assuuuume we'll be going with him, but that leaves standard and turbo. Kendra, Eve, do you two think you're up for this next match?" "Uh...yeah...about that..." Daichi spoke up, putting his stuff down rubbing the back of his neck, smiling nervously. "I was actually going to speak about that, coach. I'm gonna ask to not be Dueling this time around. I need to try and fix my deck and also need to read up more on the Action Fields with the correlating Action Cards that way I don't have the random surprise like I did with my first match."
  17. Let Us Pray "Kitt, you've truly outdone yourself. This temple is a marvel. Well done mate." Kitt only gave Olivander a small smirk, before nodding at his comrade. "It was something only I could do...with Lord Taros simply moving through me." he said, before Flynt made his speech known to the people. “That is it, my friends. All I ask now is that you help with these watchdogs as best you are able in whatever they might require for this ceremony. The rest is up to you.” Once his former mentor spoke, he opened the floor towards the two of them...and of course, Olivander spoke forth first, as was customary for the Dog of Hinder. However, Kitt seemed to have his eyes closed, exhaling slowly through his nose. It seemed he was preparing himself to speak forth towards these people of Corpus...he wasn't sure how this would go...not in the slightest. But he knew, this was the thing only he could do...this temple was a gamble... "The floor is yours my friend." Kitt slowly opened his eyes and stepped forward to face the crowd. He was silent as the murmurs of the crowd continued among themselves. Finally the Watchdog of the Forge exhaled again, before speaking. "My name is Kitt Axton, Watchdog of the Great Forge Master, Taros...and like my friend..." he glanced back towards Olivander. Friend...that was the first time he called him that, wasn't it...? "Like he said, I believe that an alternative stance on this could be seen. I was told once about this island of Corpus...regaled with it's conception and it's history. How the spirit of the woman who fled and loveless marriage sought refuge within the sea and naught took pity on her save for Lord Dia. And it was by Dia's power that this island was raised from the ocean and gave the woman a refuge and place of her own...to where her spirit of survival thrived." He paused, looking hard at the crowd. "You, the people of Corpus, have inherited that same surviving spirit...I've seen it first hand..." he said, spotting Old Man Jones in the crowd, namely referring to him. "Whatever storms of life threw at you...there was a survivalist instinct that had you continue on. And so to is this moment...Mount Vermeer is a volcano, make no mistake of that. As such, it most likely erupted a long time before now, long before any of us were walking the islands. Alas, those writings have been lost to time to find what the people in past generations have done to survive. But...in the midst of this, I bring a possible option." Kitt paused, shifting his stance and pointing at the temple itself. "A temple has been built to allow Lord Dia to dwell on Corpus once more...to allow her graces and good fortune to bless the island she helped create from the depths. People of Corpus, this is a moment to reconnect with Lord Dia...and in turn, make strong that same spirit of survival that you all inherited from that woman so long ago." Kitt shifted himself again, before sighing. "There are two options here...and we will not tell you what you must do...as the gods have forged us with the strong concept of free will. We do as we please, whether right or whether wrong...there are two choices, you must take the first steps and decide for yourself what you will." He looked back towards the temple and nodded. "Now...allow me to work with officiating this temple and dedicating it to Lord Dia...the rest, will be up to those who stay on the island." Taking a deep breath, he began the dedication... Really wish Finn was here for this... "Lord Dia! Goddess of Water, creator of the island of Corpus! We call to thee, offering this temple to thee to dwell in and do with what you will! You see the situation that these people are in, the people that have inherited the will and spirit of the woman you took pity on all those years ago...the very woman you provided this island to as a refuge. Turn your face to shine upon Corpus once more and continue to bless these people once again! Allow the architecture and designs of Taros in this temple to inspire you to show your favor to Corpus once more...show your will to them and allow them to see a brighter tomorrow, without the fear of Vermeer."
  18. There was a perk for losing your match first...you were able to watch the other two matches and see how your teammates were doing. So too was Daichi, his duffle bag with his costume slung over his shoulder as he watched the two Duels in tandem with each other...and well...on one hand, he was excited and proud of one Duel, and on the other...it honestly hurt him. Like...A LOT... "Next time you have lofty ambitions, back them up with more than platitudes." Hearing those words honestly made his stomach churn, his skin crawl. Daichi wanted to go over and deck Sai right in the face for that attempt of an entertaining Duel...but alas, he couldn't. It just wasn't in his nature to do that. If anything, the booing of the crowd just reinforced that idea. Sure, end result was that they won. Team Genesis was the victory of this match, so...why did it leave such a terrible taste in his mouth? And it's that Duel there that Daichi couldn't help but dwell upon. “Congratulations, guys! It’s always seen as a great sign if you win your premier, though it’s usually against an established team… but, either way, you did it! I hope this serves as a source of morale moving forward! However, I would like you guys to… discuss what took place here today, before we go. Of course, you don’t have to, but it’ll just be moved to next week’s discussion, so it’s either now or then. Would anyone like to weigh in first?” Daichi and the others made it into the booth, the words from the coach lingering in the air. No one wanted to say anything at first about the Duels that were had. And then...well...the team began to weigh in HEAVILY... “Yeah, just a quick question. Sai, what the fuck?” "Sashisematta. Is there a reason for what you did out there?" It was like they echoed the sentiments that Sai's Duel in particular was surely the weak link. Then again...even Kendra made mention of between him and Sai, that he...Daichi...was the reason they had any good will with the audience. It made him...happy somewhat to hear this, but despite the smile he wore...inside... He shook his head slightly after Evelyn spoke up, Daichi was about to speak up...but, who would pipe up next, but Sai himself. Oh...this would be good... "Kendra, if Vega was concerned I might make her look bad, she wouldn't have recruited me. She knows exactly who and what I am, and doesn't need you to defend her honor. In fact, she's the only person here who has beaten me, but I don't see her complaining." Daichi kept quiet, seeing Sai explain himself...seeming to echo what Evelyn spoke. To an extent, he supposed that they were both right. At the same time, however, he found this to not sit well with him whatsoever. Why go the route of infamy and having the audience hate you when you could get the audience to enjoy every second and be cheering for you? It didn't make any sense to him whatsoever. However he was brought back up from his thoughts, hearing Sai address him specifically. "You had a wonderful duel, Tomodaichi. It is unfortunate you were not able to pull through, but as far as I could tell it truly was just a matter of fortune. If you believe you may have misplayed somewhere down the line, I would gladly coach you." He was silent for a moment or two, before simply displaying his trademark smile. "Thanks for the praise and the concern there, but I think I'll pass on the lessons, dear theater buff." Daichi said, waving his hand dismissively. "All I know is that I had a genuine blast against Miss Honey. Things didn't pan out my way, but there's always next time. The fact that I could make the audience smile and cheer, in conjunction with having a dance partner…so to speak...that was able to match it was more than I could've asked for in my first match. Nevertheless, I do apologize for not winning. I promise I'll do even more to make up for this. Definitely gonna be starting with looking into the effects and side effects of the different Field Spells and their corresponding Action Cards. That's what ultimately turned the tide in Miss Honey's favor." He turned towards Falisha and gave her a thumbs up. "That said, the Turbo Duel was fantastic. Falisha had it under control from turn one, that was clear to see. There was even some excitement and applause from your end!" he continued, before simply sighing, glancing back in the direction of Sai. "And then...of course, we have the other Duel...the one where we got a standing ovation of boos from the audience. Yeah...that one...I'm not even sure what to say on that. Maaaaaaaaybe next time do something a bit more...audience friendly? After all, don't think the audience can deal with much a of Heel when most of the Duels they witnessed today were pumped with positive energy."
  19. Unsure if Dimitri's last name was confirmed, but then again...there have been plenty of media I may not have consumed to notice if it was or wasn't. Yeah, the overkill on villain roster on this movie would be concerning, so it's not to over crowd the movie. Because with Raimi 3 and Amazing 2...it shows having more than one or two is usually the recipe for disaster...but the MCU has gained strides in showing that's not always the case. Perhaps this will be different... Yeah Toomes is going to be in Morbius, so that's what's got me curious about how things are. Plus, didn't realize that Toomes wasn't making an appearance in this movie, from what I've seen. So at this moment, there's only 3 here and it's multiversal...which, going back to the above mentioned Lizard and Sandman, wouldn't surprise me if that happened.
  20. Same time...we practically have a few villains here in the MCU version: Vulture Scorpion Shocker Chameleon (But not really cause he's yet to become the Chameleon...I guess?) Mysterio (Because I doubt he's dead...) That's already four...from this side of the multiverse...so while the idea of a Sinister Six in this would be good, it sounds more like the comic's recent event known as "The Sinister War". And well, it may sound like an awesome premise, I think at the same time, it might be TOO much for the MCU movie to deal with. So the idea of bringing every single past villain from the other movies is both awesome (along with heavily possible for at least three), unsure having the others popping up at the same time as well to be a good thing. Way I see it: knock Chameleon and Mysterio off the list, that leaves us with three...add the three from the other universes, boom...that's our Sinister Six for a while. Same time, seeing the fact that Mysterio being part of this connecting with "Spider-Men" (which I adored when it came out) is a very fun little easter egg to have about. It would then combine a few other stories into the narrative aside from OMD/OMIT.
  21. After a while, the young sorcerer walked through the door, his hat still covering his face some after his apparent...honestly he couldn't tell what that was with that moment. Nevertheless, he was pretty much the last one to walk in...and he saw the others watching what could only be described as...fairies... "...I have nothing to say on this..." Trevor blinked a bit, already seeing his grimoire moving slightly. Query...would these have any relations to Mor-... Trevor immediately put an end to that conversation, as he grabbed the Cabanomicon with a sigh. "Let's not bring her into this, shall we?" ...duly noted...so will you be letting them know about the library...and maybe your new fri-... The sorcerer immediately closed the grimoire and sealed it back up where it hung on his side, before clearing his throat slightly. "I see that we have guests...from the look of it. Hopefully we all didn't just come back at the wrong time." he said, waving his hand dismissively. "I also see that your venture with shopping has been successful, least from the general assumptions. Hope all went well with you all. I've done some searching myself around here, found the library and it was nothing less than exactly what was needed."
  22. The Will of the People “I’m not saying that because they came up with two plans. I’m saying it because when they ran off just after lunch, there were questions I wanted answered, and though many have been, now there’s a whole temple completely unrelated to that plan.” Kitt was wanting to address this, to have Jones understand what his processes were, but then Eilis spoke up... “We could do both I mean, I don’t particularly want to leave, I don’t think you do either, Headman, if that’s okay for me to say. But Kevin -- you’ve seen Kevin recently, right? -- he might want to leave, for example. So might some of the others. I just- you asked, ‘Both?’ as we all sat down, and maybe we should be thinking about that option. I’m sorry, ignore me.” "N-No...no that's a good point." Kitt said, now practically echoing what Olivander just said moments ago after she said this. "The people of this island and all other islands have the freedom of free will, as such it would only be fair to let the people decide for themselves what they want. After all, forcefully having those choose one or the other in something like this actually wouldn't benefit anyone...not if it means we choose something for a free willed individual." He paused to continue to eat some, before returning to what he was saying. "As for the temple...no, originally it wasn't related to the plans. But in a way, it is." Kitt began, addressing Jones' concern. "I know not what or where those before you all did with the information regarding any other times Vermeer has erupted, so without that knowledge I am unable to truly deal with a plan of action to better suit things. Building a temple..." he paused, before glancing at Flynt with a slight sigh. "...I'm a Watchdog of Taros, as such I deal with the physical aspect of things...I deal with working with my hands. After looking at the altar in town, I figured it would be beneficial to have a place where Dia herself can dwell. The spirit of those who came before you on Corpus, those who continuously harbor that will to survive, they owed everything to Dia. The island's creation, the compassion to the runaway woman...Dia is responsible for helping. My thoughts were...if she did all this, the least the people could do is thank her." Kitt immediately held his hands up in a defensive manner. "I'm not saying you haven't...nor am I saying that this is a decree from the gods themselves, but...look at it this way. If say you, Jones sir, did something to help not just one person, but ended up helping a lot of people in the process...wouldn't you have a slight feeling on wanting to be recognized for this accomplishment? To be praised almost?" he took a slight breather before continuing. "All I did, was give the people of Corpus, a chance to reach Dia and thank her for what she has done and quite frankly, what she will continue to do. Because if anything, the fact that the island of Corpus has survived this long is due to her allowing it...no matter how you cut it."
  23. Why must you harm me like this??? Bovine pls...FINE.....three games Id play for the rest of my life? Fate/Grand Order - Despite being a mobile game, it updates quite a lot. This means I wouldn't have to worry about it getting boring or uninteresting. Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales - These are technically one game, if you think about it. Yes while Miles Morales is a separate title, you can't just play the first game without having the second bundled into it. Hell, 8t makes sense to count this as a single game...but if I absolutely have to choose one of these, then it'll be the former. Why? I get to play in the Scarlet Spider outfit I adore! Jedi Fallen Order - Sentimental reasons, as playing this would definitely give me a feeling of having my father around, as he loved the Star Wars series. It was one of the games he was looking forward to and wanted to desperately play...
  24. 1. A MCU version of Crisis on Infinite Earths...okay honestly that sounds amazing! But yeah, Strange saying that is pretty much hitting the nail on the head. The fact that he can't make the separation (then again, he's still a HS Student right now, so he's still learning about how to figure things out) is really affecting him greatly. It also is showing IMMENSELY about Peter and his infamous Parker Luck that they've talked about constantly in the comics...the fact that Parker is sort of the counter balance in the good and bad luck...most of it always being bad luck for him. 2. I believe that the OMD/OMIT idea is good here...and I'm already theorizing that at the end, the spell will end up working for it. Cause with OMD, aside from identity being given back, Aunt May died...now I'm not saying she will...but think of this: someone is going to die (possibly just by the trailer) and finally it'll end up coming to where that'll be the catalyst to where Parker says screw it and just have the world no longer make the connection of Parker and Spidey. Truth be told, it is true...the bad stories in Marvel comics history can be tailored into something great (we just aren't counting Crossbones in that movie...cause GAWD...).
