  1. ──── ⋆⋅✦⋅⋆ ──── Huh. She hadn't really expected anyone to give her any mind when she showed up, except maybe to ridicule her for being here when she didn't pass before, but... There was a pretty decent reaction after all. Aside from the boy who was rubbing his head like he was dealing with a headache, there was... Surprisingly a decent reception. No one outright telling her not to be here, at the very least. Maybe she had let her nerves get the best of her earlier after all. As she made her way to the desk, she heard a comment from one of the students on the other side of the room. Don't waste her chance. She rolled her eyes a tiny bit, her tail curling around the leg of the chair as she settled in. She didn't need him to tell her that, it was... Well, it was obvious, it didn't take a genius to find out she got lucky to be here. The steady shift of colors across her body had settled down as she relaxed a bit, it felt good to not be the center of attention anymore... Right up to the point that she saw someone turning around in his desk, doing his best to get a better look at her as he held out his hand. "Hi. I'm Hideyo," he said happily. "And I think your quirk is the coolest thing I've seen. Ever!" She paused for a moment, before she reached over to take his hand with a sheepish grin on her face, "Aw, geez, I dunno about that really. Uh... I think if it was the coolest thing ever, I would've gotten in without having to get a little lucky." She laughed gently, her other hand rubbing at the back of her neck as she glanced up at the ceiling. "It's not, like... Terrible, at least! My dad had it bad, he didn't get any of the stuff mine can do. He was pretty nervous when I was born." She trailed off as she looked around the room, getting a look at some of the... Other students. Most of them looked pretty normal, except for maybe the guy who had just started talking to Dreadbolt there... And the giant man next to her who did not look like he was the same age as the rest of them. She wasn't going to question it though, what was the point? With the world how it was, he might be the youngest one here for all she knows! ──── ⋆⋅✦⋅⋆ ────
  2. ──── ⋆⋅✦⋅⋆ ──── It was time. Somehow, someway, she was getting into U.A. It wasn't... It wasn't real. It actually wasn't. She wasn't supposed to be here, she was meant to be, well, in the general course. It was good enough for her, really. She had just barely missed out on being in the Hero Course before, one spot behind. The message that there was an empty spot, if she wanted it, was enough to send her heart into a panic when she read it. It took a bit of... Persuading to let her parents make the transfer. Well, that wasn't entirely correct. "You made it? Well... Good for you, dear. I know I've never been quiet about my distaste for the Hero business, but if this is what you want... I'll support it." Her mom was about as... Straightforward as it gets. She didn't care about heroes. She didn't see the magic behind it, she just saw the attitudes of the ones who came into her shop. The same as any customer. Her dad, on the other hand... There was a lot of proud blubbering from him and vague promises of making sure she got all the training she could ever need. He was a lot more involved than mom was. She expected that much. And now... She was in front of the class, waiting for the mark to go in and introduce herself. She had heard about the Hero Course students, she knew there were some... Interesting sorts in there. Her skin started to turn a mix of red and blue, swirling patterns across her body as she took a deep breath and closed her eyes... "She will be replaced by the next runner-up in the entrance exam! Hoshinoooooo Rika!" She steadied her breathing slightly, her tail flicking on the ground behind her for a moment as she blinked, opening up her eyes as she heard her name, eh? "-tudents to be punctual??? Can't I get one damn break???" She muttered underneath her breath lightly, pushing the door open as the swirls of color along her body seemed to shift and move along it, before starting to fade back to normal as she walked into the room. "I'm sorry, I'm here! I was lost in thought a bit. Uh... My name is Hoshino Rika, and it's good to be here! I barely didn't make it before, and I thought I wasn't going to ever get the chance again... But I'm glad to be here now!" She rubbed at her cheek a tiny bit, whispering to herself as she glanced at the class, "Am I supposed to introduce my Quirk? I think so. Uh, my Quirk is Chameleon. It's pretty... Straightforward, I won't demonstrate, it'll crop up over the day almost for sure." True to her word, as she spoke up, her skin started turn a shade of brown, darkening more as she gulped. She glanced from side to side, before turning towards Dreadbolt, "I'm gonna go sit down now." "Okay, everyone, she's just gonna sit down now! Uhh there is an empty spot right there, you can take that I think. Nobody else is supposed to be there right?" She quickly made her way towards the empty desk, settling down with a little sigh as she closed her eyes and slumped back into her new seat. Her body was starting to change color again, slowly reverting back to normal as she relaxed a bit, her hands settling down against it as she dropped her bag onto the ground next to her. Her hands moved to her tail, sliding it through the back of the seat to help give her some breathing room... It was time. ──── ⋆⋅✦⋅⋆ ────

  5. fuck it, super danganronpa bros, i already know what characters i'm using for this writing project

  6. As for good games with bad soundtracks. Yoshi's Crafted World comes to mind. Like... I guess good might be pushing it, it definitely is NOT a game for everyone, babby games and all that, but I think it's a respectable Yoshi game... Aside from the soundtrack. Like holy fuck it's SO bad. It has a few good songs, yeah, but like... They took motif way too far and almost every song is exactly the same, there's a few standout songs, but very few and it gets so annoying the longer you play. Like, here's two examples in relatively short timespan of two of the worst songs in the game. literal penis music to my ears.
  7. Octavia »»————- ♡ ————-«« "So you wish to use them? Not the worst idea, but keep your eyes open, and make sure they don't use you," Lock commented. Octavia let out a little laugh as she rubbed at her neck gently, her head glancing up at the ceiling for a moment. That really was what she was doing, wasn't it? It's not like that was anything too surprising, but... "I mean, that's what we do here in Hearthome, right? We get ahead and survive by any means necessary. If I want to make this a place where people don't have to struggle like that... I have to embrace it first." She admittedly wasn't sure how Lock would react to her basically admitting she was only in it for the money. Helping people was fine and all, but... Hearthome had the people she cared about in it. Other cities, other innocent people, she might help them, but there was nothing personal in it. It was basically a job there. "Oh those motherfuckers!" Raijin turned to Octavia, rage in his eyes. "Those bastards aren't gonna pay us a dime, are they!? Shit... So, how exactly are we finding this truth?" "It's possible. But if that's what they want to do, I'll take them down myself." She tapped an arm against her duel disk briefly, a little mumble escaping her afterwords, "I've seen plenty of deals go bad because of someone wanting to cheap out on payment. I never had to handle it personally before, but... I know a thing or two about getting someone to pay up." Her voice was oddly cold as she said that, and she looked back up to Lock once he started to speak again. "Always questioning what is being told to you, looking for the subtext, never taking what's given to you at face value." It didn't seem that amazing to her, but if that's what it took for them to be considered passable here, good enough for her. As he flipped over the board to reveal the map, she scanned across it, looking for any particular points of interest... Which she found very quickly. The pair that had greeted them back at the store, the absolute jerk who had stolen her drink! "That ass!" Her cheeks puffed out almost immediately, "We ran into that guy at a convenience store when we entered Hearthome, he snatched a drink from me and set people about to raid the store. I decided not to confront the guy there because, you know, Hearthome is a den of people like him, but he was someone behind the mess after all?! It was definitely him, that girl was there too!" She threw her hands up into the air, frustration written on her face as she vented about the lost soda. Even though she had no trouble getting a replacement, it was the principle of the matter. "We seem to have company... Be on your guard." She immediately turned towards the door as he looked at it, while the other side of it seemed to grow dark, the void practically eating the area around it. Without a delay, Octavia's arm shot out to the side, the Duel Disk activating as she brought it in front of her, ready and waiting for the door to open... Or for that growing darkness to have something appear from it, whichever came first. "Hello, hello? Anyone in there? Well ready or not, heeeeere Iiiiii cooooome!" Octavia didn't drop the duel disk, oh no. Just cause someone actually spoke up, that didn't change anything. She wasn't expecting the voice to sound so... Bubbly though, given what they were working with. She kept the disk held up towards the girl, taking a glance back at Lock as she kept speaking up. Her head tilted a tiny bit as the girl started to look at the board, Octavia shifting a bit to try and block too much vision of it, can't be too safe in a place like this after all. "...Is this someone you know?"

  9. Man, I just found the old binder I had full of my AP US history classwork from high school. It's weird to look at it, cause that particular class had a huge part in getting me to examine things, it was one of the few classes that I felt really engaged in and cared about back then. It's weird, I can see at the start where I kinda half-assed things, and as I flipped through it, I saw my work getting more filled out and detailed.

    1. (o ×)

      (o ×)

That's really exciting. I think it is amazing when people manage to really connect with the things they are learning about.

It's funny cause one of the first assignments we had was marked with "You need to include more detail." and it was really rare to get that kinda comment from most teachers in my high school.

  10. i am not going to lie, the 2000-2010 decade was a lawless wasteland for memes but god if i don't have a soft spot in my heart for this wonderful piece of shit especially when i learned the background of the song being that the dude was criticized that the only reasons his songs got popular was the girls in the videos, so he just decided to make this with clones of himself using a green screen, which promptly became his most popular song. I just love it. It also lead to this piece of art so I can't pick anything else. Also the redux version of that.
  11. I'm back into creating D&D Characters I'll probably never use. KEKW

  12. 5. Obstagoon - I love Zigzagoon. It's always been my favorite Route 1 Normal-Type Pokemon, at least until Wooloo showed up, but it's still a favorite. Obstagoon is perfect to me, because I love the little punk rock look the line is sporting in Galar and Obstagoon being an evo for him just makes it better. 4. Wooloo - it just cute 3. Cramorant - Bird. Sometimes it eats a Pikachu. What's not to love? Honestly, it's just a cute idea, and I really like this one. I still can't get over that we had this guy leaked reaaally early into the game's lifespan too, it was in the first big leak for the game. 2. Falinks - again, it cute. But fun to use too, I love the bois. 1. Corviknight - Honestly, Corviknight is kinda just made for me. Obviously I love birds, but like, it's just so cool looking. So, I'm assuming we're going with just, like, new Pokemon outright and not new forms, so this is what the Top 5 look like. If we include forms, Galarian Ponyta might push out Obstagoon by a tad, but it's really close. Honorable mentions go to Frosmoth/Snom for sheer design, Dragapult for being cool, and Gigantimax Garbodar cause my boy actually got something. bobbert Cat is just chill and I like that. Unlike TUCKER and his dumb stupid face.
  13. Bug Fables! Just a really fun RPG, filled the Paper Mario niche that Origami King doesn't quite scratch for me, the characters were fun and Mothiva was just a fun one that I enjoyed while the game was going on. That and I just like moths. They're nice, good stuff. fluffy ones But, aside from the fluff, I really like just how bizarre the Luna Moth looks. Just look at this thing.
  14. I don't plug things a lot but like... I'm alone with my thoughts and they're all over the place, so if you have questions that might keep me busy for a bit, ask 'em here if ya want!

  15. Yeah, this definitely won't be a top 5 type of deal, just a few of the particularly notable ones. Villain School RP Character, back on YCM, Elita. She was of the two characters there that I was particularly proud of. It took a while for me to find my stride when it came to creating characters, they weren't my strong point, but I feel like that's changed over time. If a character doesn't click from the start in some way, I don't bother continuing to develop them, it's too important for me that there's a chemistry between the character and writing them for me. I end up doing little test dribbles with the characters that never see the light of day, just to see if I can write them in a way that satisfies me. Elita was all about a 'dead' Goddess, in quotation marks because it was meant to be highly debatable on whether she existed or not, because most religions are like that in some way and especially the ones that didn't last. Mari, as a concept, didn't matter much. It was a driving force for Elita's pure, intense drive. She was single mindedly focused on reviving this ancient religion that had no modern basis at all, with herself as the Prophet of it and later the lead Priestess. She doesn't see herself as a villain, she saw herself as a beacon of light for those poor souls in that horrid school. She had to save them, by any means necessary. That, to me, is one of the most enjoyable types of villains, the ones who have no qualms doing terrible things, but are so delusional, or so far deep into their own heads that they can't see anything but the 'benefits' of doing it. She had a very clear inspiration, Angie Yonaga from Danganronpa V3. V3 played Angie very... Comedically, but there was a serious dark undertone to her character that I wanted to explore with her concept, a villain so convinced she was doing good for others by leading them into a narrow path that would save their souls. A very real type of villain on its own, then you add in the superpower aspect of it, and it only made sense for her to be an Empath, particularly in the vein that she could feel other's pain and take it on herself. The perfect way for a false prophet to cause miracles to happen. My favorite part of her was... She didn't even want power, she was just so utterly convinced in her faith that she was very much willing to go to absurd lengths. More recently, there's been Octavia and Kendra from the two Yugioh RP's I joined. Octavia is the rich kid who isn't rich anymore and Kendra is the kid who was never rich to begin with. They're pretty similar in personalities, in the sense that they're both subdued, quieter types, but for very different reasons. With Octavia, it's a necessity of growing up in a violent, gang-filled city. She learned to keep her head down when she wasn't doing business in obtaining new cards, so she's very pragmatic about what she spends her time doing and saying. She's definitely be on the fast track in a law career, if things hadn't gone south in Hearthome. I like her character because while I played up how nothing about her particularly stood out, she was just a 'normal' girl who could make a deal over trading cards. Since the RP is kind of in limbo with COVID and all, she hasn't had a chance to grow, but if the RP goes down after all, I'll find a good way to work her into something else I do. Kendra on the other hand, is the self-defeating girl who never quite found what she excels at, something I know waaay too well. It's one thing to do 'well enough' at something and be reasonably passable at it, and then to find something that you're passionate about and actually good at too. With Kendra, while she has that passion for the card game, and the skill to back it up, her financial situation when she was younger kept her from exploring it fully and it was only when she got a lucky scholarship after a performance in a local scene from a university wanting to expand that she actually got the chance to explore it. And because of that, she feels the need to push herself in private, trying to keep up her studies beyond just 'passing' which she arguably doesn't manage to do, while still keeping her dueling skills sharp. Ironically, both of these are Xyz users. I guess because it's a flexible mechanic that's not too hard to write with, I kinda gravitate towards it, it allows some creativity with it in the duels. I haven't gotten to write a full duel with either of them yet, Octavia using Box of Friends and Kendra using Batterymen, but I got a small bit with Kendra done and I like the deck, so I'm excited to develop her a lot too. Honorable mention goes to Sieg, the Barbarian I was making for Grimm Nights, but didn't get past the conceptual stage. I wanted to make her a loud, boisterous type, something I really do not do a lot. But when I tried to come up with a background I liked, a story I was happy with, and her personality beyond that, I just hit... A wall. Which is funny, because her role was going to be tanking basically. I wanted her to be carrying around a giant Tower Shield, her main form of combat would be parrying blows, protecting those around her, and basically bashing people down with the shield while trying to use it to support her allies as well. Very hands on, physical and all. But like I said, I just hit a wall with her, and while I liked the weapon concept, background just threw me into a loop of writing, erasing and thinking again.
  16. -April 17th, 2000--10 AM--Diluculo Branch 22- All things considered, that could have gone a lot worse. The mission was, by no means, a total success. There was definitely a lack of synergy among them, Cade wasn't sure how to get over that though. Maybe it would come to them as they worked together more, it was hard to say. At the moment, all he wanted to do was lay in bed and rest. If he missed breakfast, he didn't care. He could grab lunch using his parents money, he wouldn't have to worry about breaking into his own funds for minor things for a while. Buying love, and all that. He heard a small noise come from his nearby tablet. He reached over to grab it, in case it was a mission update already... He shouldn't be, considering they were supposed to be stocking up for the next mission. But, it was still probably a good idea to check. "so . . . how was that combat mission with the Major? haven't heard much about it." He paused as he read the message, he had forgotten about the chat function... Or maybe he hadn't even properly looked at it. He took a deep breath as he started to type in a reply... "It was... Rough. The creature was real and very angry. It came very close to causing major injuries to us. I don't know how much we're allowed to talk about exactly, but it was a kid. Apparently his Id turned him into a creature that just ran on instinct." He paused there, before continuing to type a bit. "...I don't like that. I know Akiko says her's is useless. And mine is apparently strong. But one that turns the user into a beast like that..." He shook his head as he sent that message. It was uncomfortable to say the least. He started to run through the tablet, he had an order to place. The April Special from the shop, the communicators. If he was going to protect the others, he needed to stay tuned in at all times. He tapped at it, adding it to his list, along with scanning some of the other options. He could keep using a dagger, potentially, but... He wanted to expand his options. He tapped on that pistol and ammo option, "...Strictly for emergencies. And I'll need to practice with it." Click. Checkout time.
  17. Kendra let out a little sigh as her monsters exploded into little particles, it was annoying enough to keep things on the board when all her stuff was tiny. Now Lord of the Red was back and ready to start destroying things whenever she activated a card. “Draw.” She pulled a card from the top of her deck with a quick pull, turning it over in her hand before promptly sliding it into the disk, “I activate Battery Charger. For a small cost, I can special summon one Batteryman monster from my grave.” “Ah ah ah, not so fast!” Amely would give a grin as she held out her hand again, “Lord of the Red, destroy her face-down with Knight’s Order!” Kendra tapped the screen of her disk as the sword lifted up, “I’ll chain it, Portable Battery Pack. With it, I can special summon Batteryman 9-Volt and Batteryman Solar from my Graveyard.” As she spoke, the blocky battery sprung back onto the board, turning around in the air as a pack of batteries appeared above it, one of them splitting off and thumping against her deck. A single card popped out of it as Kendra tugged it out and revealed it, “When 9-Volt is summoned, I can add one Batteryman from my deck to my hand, and I pick Batteryman AAA… And Solar lets me mill a Batteryman, this time AA.” Solar turned towards the deck, a beam of electricity sparking from it as a card popped out, which Kendra sent to the grave. “...And with Lord of the Red’s effect resolving, both of them are destroyed.” The batteries on her field began to sputter a bit, little crackles of electric static from them spewing around the field, before they fell over and disappeared, returning to the Graveyard. “Now, Battery Charger resolves and I can special summon Batteryman AA from my Graveyard. From my hand, Batteryman AAA.” As she summoned them, the two batteries sprung to the field. AA sparked with orange energy, while AAA was surrounded with green on one, and purple on the other, electric sparks crackling more and more… “And when AAA is Normal Summoned, I can special summon another one from the Grave!” As she spoke another pair of triple A batteries rose up from the ground, matching the first pair that was summoned… Amely gave a small frown, “Lord of the Red, Knight’s order to destroy Batteryman AA!” She waves her hand as if giving an executive order, before Lord of the Red opened his mouth and a wave of energy came from his mouth in what looked almost like a sonic burst to shatter the Batteryman AA! Kendra covered her face with her arm at the burst of energy, Batteryman AA getting whisked away into the air as the battery exploded, disappearing into the void as she hummed, “...That was two uses now, right? Right…” She flicked a card in her hand upwards, showing off what looked like an oversized car battery. “By banishing Batteryman 9-Volt and Batteryman Solar from my graveyard, I can special summon Batteryman Industrial Strength from my hand!” She put the card into play and between the two Batteryman AAA, a hulking, outdated looking hunk of junk began to rise from the ground. Either hand of the machine was holding the metal end of jumper cables, glowing electricity sparking from the ends… “And to end this. I activate the spell card, Short Circuit!” As she did, Batteryman AAA took their positions on either side of the rolling Industrial Strength, compartments on either side of him opening up to let them inside. As they did, the ends of those jumper cables began to charge with power, before slamming down into the ground. “With Short Circuit, all of the cards my opponent controls are destroyed as long as I control three or more Batteryman monsters. Go.” As she gave that order, electric currents charged up from the ground underneath Galaxy Eyes, the projections becoming distorted and bent, colors turning faded in some areas and sharper in others. Lord of the Red was met with a pure explosion of electric energy, shattering in a much more explosive, though less visually impressive display. “Now, Industrial Strength, attack directly.” One of those hands began to twirl the jumper cable in the air, lashing it forwards towards Amely for the final hit. Amely’s eyes widened, “My beautiful comraaaaaades!” She’d let out a small scream before dramatically falling on her knees after being electrocuted! Kendra let out a tiny snicker as she covered her mouth, “...Good game, you’re, uh, gonna be okay, right?” She rubbed at her cheek a tiny bit, before deactivating her duel disk, “...Uh, you two are ready, yeah?” She glanced over at Astrid and Vega, finally she could sit again.
  18. "Alrighty then! We've got about a week left, so we should get as much practice in as possible, yeah!?" Kendra groaned gently as she lifted her head up from her spot on the table. She knew it was coming, but that didn't mean she wasn't at least a little bit hopeful that she'd be able to sneak through the day without putting in too much work. She let out a low sigh as she lifted up her hand, "Do we really have to do this today?" She was prepared to accept her fate if she really couldn't escape, but that just meant... “Of course we do! If not now, then when!?” Vega replied excitedly. She let out a little sigh as she stood up and made her way towards the fridge to pull it open, grabbing a large can from it that she promptly opened up and started to drink from. Her hand squeezed at the can for a moment, the crinkling sound of the metal as she tightened her grip echoing through the room as she made her way back towards the table. "-hyyy don't we pull sticks and duel against whoever? Y'know, instead of sticking to the others who know our style best. I even have some popsicle sticks ready! I marked two of them with blue, to face off first, another two with red for second, and left two of them unmarked. Sounds like fun, yeah?" Sticks. She let out a little sigh as she waited for others to grab their own stick, before grabbing one herself. She tugged it up to take a look at the color, but as she did the first pair was already made. Chloe and Matt were the first to go... That's unfortunate. She woulda rather just got it out of the way once she knew there was no way out of it. ...Second though, it'll work. She held up the end of the Popsicle with the color marker on it, Red. Not optimal, she wanted her work to be over, that's all. "Looks like I'm going second... Which one of you has the other red?"
  19. -April 16th, 2000- -9:34 AM- -Pine Barrens, New Jersey- It was a child. It was an Id. That wasn't reassuring to Cade at all. He was lucky apparently. He got something useful, something even considered powerful... And here's an innocent person, cursed with something that turned him into a beast. He took a deep breath as he seemed to shiver a little bit, his hands moved in the air as the books began to orbit back towards him. They pushed together as he frowned a little bit, bundling up as they slid back into his backpack. His hands clenched... "The rest of you, we're heading back. Luckily, no one was injured... But I apologize as your superior for what happened here. I will have some words with the leader of the branch." That snapped him back to earth. His head shot up as he heard what the Major said, a deep breath escaping him as he nodded his head. "...Understood Major." · · ─────── ·?· ─────── · · -April 16th, 2000- -10:30 AM- -Diluculo Branch 25, New Jersey- The trip back gave him time to properly... Collect his thoughts. It wasn't easy, either way. He couldn't get over the idea that he could have been in that situation. He could've been the one, in a less lucky life, to have to deal with something as terrible as that. But he wasn't. It wasn't fair, really. But life wasn't fair, was it? He didn't even really process if the kid was alive when everything was going down. But of course it was an Id. Creatures like that didn't exist, they didn't just pop up out of nowhere either. Having it be an Id running wild was... Basically the only answer to it that would've made sense. He hoped Nika could get some answers about this... Since even she seemed to be in the dark a bit. He, on the other hand, wasn't going to get any answers even if he went looking for them. He instead opted to visit the cafeteria, grabbing a cup of coffee from it as he took a seat. He sipped from his drink idly, a little sigh escaping him as he closed his eyes. He took a deep breath, before glancing up, noticing Akiko muttering to herself. A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth... Looked like he wasn't the only one who was in a bit of a state after that. He took another drink before standing up, making his way towards her, "...You did a good job keeping up with what was going on out there. I don't think any of us were... Really prepared for that."
  20. This wasn't okay. The commander was right. What business did a set of new recruits have out in the wilderness, fighting off a creature like this? It wasn't right, Ann and Akiko weren't built for this. Even Lucia and he weren't cut out for this. It was out of their league right now, even if he had the sheer power according to their analysis, that didn't mean he was able to use it properly yet. Cade's hands quickly brought themselves together as he started to move the wall off books, slamming together to reorient the wall of books in front of him. His hands opened up as he thrust them in the air in front of him, two of the books began to rush forward. He aimed them straight for the monster's face as it started to snap and leap forwards toward him. There was no hesitation as he used the books to block key parts of its advance. The two smacked straight into the creature's face, creating a narrow strip that it could see through... But also they could monitor the movements of it's head. Two of the other books smacked into the creature's claws, Cade's hands opening up as he gave them a thrust forwards, trying to upset the creature's balance as he took a deep breath, "Go... Down!" "Rusalka, get back here! Shit... Cade, trip her!" "Merde! Akamanto, I can't stop her. I'll try to subdue the creature!" Frustration welled inside of him as he watched Ann start to run off on her own. With the way he had moved the wall suddenly, there was not easy way for him to try and stop her from moving forward. The best thing he could do was to keep trying to find the best way to upset the creature's balance... Or perhaps, knocking the breath out of it. With the creature's claws being held up by the books, that left its chest exposed... And Cade brought a hand back quickly, slamming it open palmed into the last book he had with him. It shot forward, aimed for the monster's chest to try and knock the wind from it. "Heel, beast!"
  21. "Don't just stand there gawking! Take this thing out while I keep it occupied!" Cade immediately snapped to focus on the Major, his hand rising up into the air, flattening out as he gave it a quick jab forward. One of the thick books rotating around him, suddenly lashed forward to smack against the side of the beast, while the others began to rotate out from around him. With the sudden jump away from the Major, his focus shifted to look over the monster in front of them, a little mumble escaping him, "Horrid creature..." The fact that it suddenly jumped back and seemed to be done didn't really ease his nerves though. As it rushed off, he drew the book he had lobbed in it's direction towards him once again, having it return to the proper orbit. He was tasked with protection here, and that was going to be rough. Akiko and Ann weren't built for combat in the slightest, he would have to be on top of things at this point. That meant listening to every single word that was said... His books began to orbit around him a little faster as he planted his feet on the ground firmly, bring his arms together. The books quickly began to group together, leaving no gaps between them as they floated in the air nearby, listening to the directions that Ann was starting to give out. The location of the beast was critical, and the makeshift shield floated towards that side of him, ready for him to launch it outwards. He took a few steps closer to Ann and Akiko, ready to get between them and the creature if necessary. "Akamanto, if the creature charges, let me block it first."
  22. I've got a vague idea on a character potentially, so noting interest. Not promising that character creation will be a success, but working on an idea at least.
