  1. As the group continued to run, making their way into the circular room, Lana felt a sudden wave of heat come over her. Looking around the circular room, the bright pool in the middle of the room was the first thing to catch Lana's attention, a shocked, horrified and somewhat annoyed expression all happening in sequence. "The water's on fire now?!" Lana simply listened to Chris as she tried to get over her shock of the new discovery, nodding when he finished speaking. "Right so, blow it up. Make it fall. And don't die. Yeah, uh, okay, I can manage that." The girl looked at the hulking beast, lumbering into the room. "Probably." Getting her axe ready the girl looked to the others before saying, "okay, I'm going to...not die at it. And then..." The girl let out a sigh as she thought about what was going to happen before saying, "and um, blow it up?" The girl tried to get closer to the center of the room, first getting against the inner wall they were nearest to. Psyching herself up, the girl said, "alright Lana you can not die. It's just got a bigger axe than you...bigger axe? Wait I wonder how valuable that axe is. Yeah, yeah!" Getting out from behind the wall, the girl shouted, "I'm gonna take your axe and sell it! You hear th- Oh that's not an axe." The girl quickly ducked behind the wall, the rock smashing against it as the girl's confidence seemed to dwindle a little. "Alright, that's just a...big rock...yeah." Getting out from behind cover, the girl started to get closer to the underground fire-water pond, shouting, "I'll also sell...your rocks?" The girl didn't dwell on it, as the minotaur had yet another rock in its hand as it started to make its way towards her.
  2. Getting to the scene of the crime, Fen was very easily able to see that the crime was still going on. Fen knew exactly what she was dealing with here, a large 20 foot gorilla to be precise, but seeing was always believing and simply having the briefing did not fully prepare her for what she was about to see. The girl looked up to see the beast atop the tower, in awe before nodding to herself. "That is a big building." She still hadn't got fully used to the scale of the buildings that were here yet, thinking that they were still quite a sight to behold. All the same, the decided to test something out. Conjuring a bow of ice, the girl drew an arrow back before launching it skyward, not quite getting to her mark before smashing against the wall of the building. Frowning, realizing how difficult it was to hit something from this angle at that height, the girl said, "that's a shame." Though she was unsure of how safe entering a building besieged by a giant beast was, it wasn't a particularly new feeling to her and it seemed to be the most direct path to actually get to a comfortable angle to attack the beast directly. So, turning to her two party members she said, "well, I uh, suppose we should go in." The girl then looked over to the police force to confirm to them that she was going in before walking into the building proper. Through the front entrance it had seemed that the entire building had been ransacked; tables and chairs flipped over with a large collection of miscellaneous objects, likely dropped by the office workers in their panic to leave, scattered across the floor. Walking forward, it had seemed that there was an elevator shaft as well, though the elevator itself had fallen and crashed to the ground. Thankfully, Fen could not be disappointed by this revelation as she had no idea what an elevator was to begin with. So, instead looking over to the, rather daunting, staircase she looked to the other two before saying, "I uh, guess this is our way up." Walking up the staircase, it was apparent the building had received quite the beating. It only took a few floors of stair climbing before the group's path was blocked by a pile of rubble. Trying to find a way past the rubble, the girl's attention was then caught by a sudden noise from the room next to them. Curious, the girl stepped into the room, hearing the noise coming from the cubicles. Wondering if someone had been trapped here and was in need of help the girl called out, "hello? Is someone in there?" Her call was met with silence. Then, out from behind the cubicle six creatures, like some kind of bizarre sloth monsters, hopped out. "Ah!" Letting out a yelp of surprise as the beasts ran their way towards her, Fen acted fast creating two large pillars of ice in her before slamming them in front of her to create a wall. It had sounded like a few of them had stopped, crashing into the wall, though this didn't last very long as the beasts crushed through the ice with the sheer force of their claws. Trying to get out of this bad situation, as one of the creatures bounded towards her Fen swiftly rolled backward, conjuring an ice dagger and tossing it as she got back to her standing position. Though the knife sunk into the beast's arm, letting out a small cry of pain as it was, it still didn't seem all that slowed by the minimal damage attack. The three that had collided with the wall originally had also stood back up, ready to pounce on the group. "Alright, if you could - " the girl started to talk to her fellows in the oarmy while she was forming an ice bow in her hands, before remembering who she was with. Looking to Aduain and then to Trevor, the girl faced forward again, changing her bow into a sword and conjuring a shield on her other arm. "Never mind, I'll cover for you."
  3. May 6th, Saturday, 1:15 pm "And welcome back folks to the next duel in the Blue Rose tournament. Glad you all could stick around while we got some technical issues sorted out." Ai's voice rang out through the stadium as the seated crowd was starting to get restless. The tournaments activities were set to start some 20 minutes ago, but it had been announced that due to some equipment failures the start would be postponed. "I swear, you're getting all ready to start production for the day and then someone spills coffee all over your equipment and then - " realizing she was still on mic the woman cleared her throat. "Well, regardless, once again as your host and primary commentator I, Ai, welcome you all back to the second day of the Blue Rose tournament. We've got quite the lineup of matches today, but we'll get to those later. For now, I hope you're all ready to see our blazing, blinding clash to kick off the day!" As the music began to blare out on the speakers, Ai continued the introduction. "The match of Fire versus Light! Chivalry versus justice! Knights versus Guardians! Here it comes! Coming in as the first seed of Troyce, his deck both ignoble and noble all at once, loaded with more weapons then you could find at a Renaissance fair. Richard Wallace!" As the crowd gave their applause and cheers for the young man as he came out and walked towards the center of the stage. Once that was done, Ai continued. "And coming in as the second seed of Scarlet, her deck is filled with light, sworn to go through its cards faster than a formula one race car. It's Kiyoko Matsuyoshi!" The blonde woman, Kiyoko, was met with a similar degree of applause as she stepped out. The woman didn't seem to be all that concerned with the applause, barely looking at the crowd as she walked forward with purpose. Standing at the center, she looked at Richard with an intense, focused expression on her face. Though to a newcomer it would probably seem almost like she had a bone to pick with the young man, this was just in fact how she looked in every match. Presenting her deck for him to shuffle, she simply greeted with, "Richard."
  4. Lana gulped as it seemed the minotaur was very keen on showing off its nice axe more. With one hand going to grab at her and one hand lifting the axe blade to squash her, Lana took a small back step on reflex, as if that would save her from being squashed. She herself had an axe, but neither the brawn the muscle through the minotaur's nor the agility to deftly avoid both attacks. Or the brains to figure out some clever plan to get out of this. Thankfully, her worries were answered by the minotaur's attention being suddenly diverted to a stab wound it got in the leg. As the axe went to go strike down at Chris, Lana gripped her own weapon tighter as she decided that now was the time push forward. Not wanting to risk getting grabbed by the hand of the bull man, Lana decided that she would simply get rid of the hand that was trying to get her. And so, winding her axe backward, the girl swung her blade into the palm of beast. Pulling back its now bleeding hand, grunting in pain, with rage the minotaur looked between the two attackers it had, angry as ever. Not wanting to stay next to it any longer than she needed to, she nodded to Chris. "Skeddadling!" The minotaur brought its axe down towards Lana, slamming the ground as the girl had already broken into a full sprint as she went to regroup with Estelle.
  5. Ryia had been ready to approach the legs of the creature yet again, trying to continue to whittle down its stability, when she had heard Lindow call out for Reinaan's assistance. Looking at the device in his hand, the girl took a minute to process what it was, only to then remember just what it was he was planning. The girl was stunned for a moment, getting out a, "w-wait shouldn't uh..." The girl didn't continue much more as the plan went into action and both of the greharms had gone off, releasing blasts of fire that seemed to destroy part of the creature's right leg. She was certainly in awe of the pure power that those devices seemed to pack, though there was also a degree of panic. Both from the surprising nature of the attack as well as wondering if this was considered using magic in the forest or not. The girl's shock didn't last long as Reinaan gave the suggestion to cut the creature's head off, and as Ryia couldn't think of any other way to swiftly deal with the resilient creature, she decided to go for it. With sword in hand, the girl rushed towards the beast's neck and brought the blade down on it. The attack didn't seem to do much other than scratch it, though, yet despite this the reptile still didn't take kindly to it. Letting out a roar of frustration and pain, it swung its head backward. Not having the time to dodge properly, the girl brought her shield up and took a step backward. Though she avoided the worst of the attack, the force of the creature hitting against her shield still sent the girl recoiling back, stumbling and falling backward before breaking into a roll and standing back up. Now further from the neck and with the head in her way, the girl figured it would be better for the others to take their turn with it. Instead, she opted to help keep the beast down as it was getting up, continuing to move backwards and stabbing the creature in the already burned and eviscerated leg. The creature let out a roar of pain as it was put slightly off balance from the attack.
  6. As the group continued to try and high tail it away from the minotaur, it seemed to be a fruitless endeavor as the creature had continued to cut them off at every turn. Eventually, Chris had decided to spring into action, going to dash and strike at the creature's leg to generally no avail. As Estelle attacked it as well to get the heat off of the rogue boy, the minotaur had then begun to make its way towards her. Lana knew that it would easily close the gap to her and that if it got to attack her there probably wouldn't be much "her" left. Thinking that she had to do something about this, Lana thought about what had just happened, and sprang into action. Charging the charging minotaur, the girl had her axe at the ready to strike at its legs. The minotaur swung its axe to the side to catch the oncoming girl, and Lana wanting no part in being bisected opted to skillfully and artfully slide under the blade of the creature. Which was more akin to leaning back, tripping and instead falling while still retaining her forward momentum. The end result, though, was that she was not bisected and that was what had mattered most to her. Now lying on her back, the minotaur had turned its attention fully to Lana which meant her plan had been a success. She couldn't find much time to celebrate such a minor victory as it then went to stomp her, the girl rolling to the side as the hoofed foot of the bull man made a loud thud where the Lana of half a second ago was. Getting back to her feet, now close to the leg, the girl went to take a heavy swing at it. Her blade was met with metal, as the Minotaur had smash its blade downward to parry hers. The reverberations of the metals hitting could be easily heard, as Lana felt a sting and vibration course through her arms as her blade was deflected, the Minotaur's being unmoved. Stepping back, gulping as she remembered her initial bout of terror when first seeing the creature said, "um...nice...axe...you got there..."
  7. As Fen continued to fiddle around with the remote, the girl looked back to Aduain as he asked his question. "No, I've never seen anything like this before...at least from my own world. We have magic that allows you to project images or sounds or both at once, but never this complex or intricate or varied. I'm more surprised things like this exist in many worlds...and aren't magic either." The girl changed the channel again, marveling again at the screen she was looking at. "But well, for fun, personally I like to read and garden. I guess also hunt, but that usually comes with quests the guilds get...and there are a lot of quests that come in that take up my free time." Sighing the girl added, "other people also like to spar...a lot. They can get carried away sometimes too but..." The girl thought about it for a moment, adding, "I hope they're still doing alright." With that, the girl continued to get acclimated to the new world around them, trying to steer clear of any mischief Aduain might've been up to, or dissuade him from doing it to begin with. With the new day upon them, Fen looked to her messages to see that there was another issue that needed taking care of. With being "briefed" on their two quest targets, Fen thought about it for a moment. First there had been sharks in the road, and now giant monkeys. The animals weren't exactly unique, visually, but Fen could hardly say she wasn't interested in these familiar yet distinctly exotic beasts. Add to that, the other one sounded more human - which was not her personal preference to fight - and had seemed to be in a shower of stones. Fen shuddered at the thought of having to use her ice weaponry against something like, and so opted not to. Looking to everyone else, the girl said, "well, uh, I'll go to the office building. If anyone else wanted to come along." After waiting a bit, the girl would then leave to the mission site.
  8. Ryia waited patiently and silently as best she could as the beast made its way over to them. Gulping as it began to devour its prey, despite all they had fought all to this point and how entirely natural the monstrous beast seemed - at least compared to demons - she still couldn't help but feel the otherwise imposing aura the creature had. It was no wonder the smaller beasts of the forest were terrified of it. All the same, the girl stopped and took a deep breath, waiting for one of her other comrades to give a signal for her to go in and attack. As Lindow had let out an opening move against the creature, Reinaan was soon to follow with a strike of his own. At his call, the girl jumped from the bush and charged at the opposite leg of the beast as it was distracted with its first assailants. Her sword dug deep into the backside of the creature's leg, causing it to roar in pain. Thrashing about, Ryia held firmly onto her blade, pulling it out before being struck by the large creature's thrashing tail. Letting out a grunt of pain the girl stumbled back, taking a brief moment to right herself before readying for another strike. As it had turned out, though, so too had the creature. As she she had stumbled to the side, she looked ahead only to see the roaring face of the monster coming closer towards her, jaws open. Panic filling her eyes, the Earth Chosen swiftly dove forward and to the side, getting underneath the maw of the creature before it came snapping down at where she used to be. Not wanting to imagine what would have happened had she been just a bit slower, the girl immediately lashed out with another slash at the creature's leg. The sword dug in a much shallower wound this time, so much so that as the beasts started to move around again her blade was just pushed out of it. Seeing that she now had its full attention Ryia began to back away and run from the creature, hoping it would leave an opening for the others.
  9. As Chris had finished up his side of the conflict and reconvened with them, the girl lifted up her rusted hand axe when he had asked if they lost anything. She was rather displeased with the outcome, not particularly keen on going to buy a new axe herself. At least her main weapon hadn't been destroyed. With all of that said and done, the group had begun to walk down the stairs to go into the final floor of their run through this dungeon. Getting down there, the room seemed to be nothing more than a simple corridor that branched off to the left. Though of course, with all of their other experiences thus far, Lana couldn't help immediately be on edge. Looking around every which way, expecting some kind of giant spider monster to be on the ceiling or something to burst out of the walls and eat them. Thankfully this speculation didn't have to last long, as their opponent had walked over to them. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like it really needed to do anything other than that to kill them. The girl gulped as she saw the hulking bull man walk towards them, with what appeared to be some kind of giant hammer like axe. She had been pretty brash thus far with how she had fought the enemies in this dungeon, but even she knew that if she just tried to charge it would flatten her in an instant. As such, she stood in place, locking up in uncertainty only to be pulled back as Chris shouted out what to do next. "R-right!" Following down the left-hand path the group was met with yet another corridor, a right path halfway through the corridor and the left one towards the end. With the thundering foosteps of the Minotaur closing in from behind them, the creature not sounding like it was in a hurry but very clearly gaining on them, Lana looked to the other two. "Still left!" She shouted, running down the path and making her way down the left path. Once there, they entered yet another hallway. This one continued straight yet again, branching off into a left and right path both in the middle and at the end of it. The middle-right path, though, seemed to be coming increasingly more threatening of an option as they could hear the footsteps of the Minoataur making their down them. Looking to the other two, a bit confused with how this whole system of hallways worked and generally concerned, the girl asked, "okay uh, so, how do we fight this thing?"
  10. So I've realized I don't have many E4 members I have strong feelings on. That being said Phoebe Shauntal Caitlin Malva?
  11. Fen was glad that Aduain had seemed to have a better grasp on everything that was in the rec room than she did. Though, she couldn't help but be left confused by every term that he had used. She hadn't heard of "ping pong" before and the "pool table" certainly didn't live up to what she thought it would be. A pool, as she understood it, was just a hole filled with water so she couldn't understand why a table designed for it would need to be lined with felt. Or why it was so shallow for that matter. Looking at it more closely she thought that perhaps that was what the holes in it were for? Regardless, it had seemed like the ideal game for Aduain. She walked over to the terminal as the fish boy had sat down, looking at what was there as if it were in another language. Sure, she understood every word individually - except for perhaps "foos" - but either the strings they were put in or just what they were supposed to imply she couldn't figure out. So, instead, she looked over to the glass pane on a stand that Aduain went to go inspect as well. He, once again, seemed quite comfortable with the technology as he made the box come to life with moving images and sound. She had seen magic before that had made projections like this, but the closer she looked at the glass the more she realized how elaborate all of the sounds and images were. She nodded in agreement with Aduain's statement, but she was actually far less focused on the odd horse race on screen then just the screen itself. Curiosity taking her over, the girl walked over to the television set and looked at it more closely, seeing a series of buttons. Fiddling around with it, she pressed one that caused seemingly nothing to happen. Instead of pressing it again, she instead held the button down which caused the volume on the device to quickly escalate so loud that there was a chance that everyone on the first floor could clearly hear it. Panicking a bit, the girl started to press the other buttons on the device, one causing the images to flick and relight with an entirely new scene on screen. The girl kept trying to find the right button until she finally pressed a button that caused the screen to go black. "Whoops..." The girl muttered, before pressing the game and causing the incredibly loud scene of a pair of boxes duking it out for a crowd came on. "Uhh..." The girl winced at the sudden spike of volume, until she finally found a button that she pressed down, causing the volume to slowly and steadily return to normal. Letting out a sigh of relief, the girl thought aloud, "these Prana devices have their own set of hidden dangers on top of their marvels." The girl nodded to herself.
  12. Lana grimaced as the bug continued to make its way closer to her, but then raised an eyebrow as it started to just flail around. Looking like it was having some sudden trouble with walking in general, as well as just wildly biting at the air in front of it. Lana was somewhat assured by Estelle telling her that she had been the one to confuse it as such, though that didn't make it any less gross of unpleasant to approach. All the same, putting her axe to the ground not wanting it to get anywhere near the creature's feelers, Lana grabbed the light axe from the air with both hands. With a loud grunt, the girl ran forward and brought the blade down on the rust bug's head, shattering the weapon over it and felling it instantly. Lana let out a sigh of relief as the prone, twitching bug finally ceased moving and walked away from it. Picking up her axe from the ground, the girl looked at it glad to see that it was still not covered in rust. "Maybe I need a big club," the girl thought aloud, glancing back to the monster. Then, looking over to Estelle she gave a big smile and thumbs up saying, "thanks for the help Estelle! Man, even those glowing weapon things you made were super awesome." The girl then looked over to Chris, noticing him fighting the final monster on this floor. She was already pretty fed up with most everything they had encountered in their trip so far, and so she was ready to get on with their trip through the dungeon for the day over with, silently looking at the rogueish boy as if to urge him to kill it faster.
  13. Readying herself for the beast's charge, Ryia remained in a much looser stance to avoid the attack rather than take it head on. As the creature began to rush her, though, she was nearly as surprised as it as the draken boy had run in from the side, impaling the creature's torso with his halberd. Stunned for a moment herself as the creature flailed against Reinaan, the girl quickly refocused and sheathed her mace, drawing her longsword instead. As the attention of the beast turned to the Draken, this time Ryia was the one to charge it, rushing forward and sinking her blade deep into the creature's opposite side. Howling in pain once again, thrashing around in a panic induced frenzy, it started to run in the direction of the roaring trying to both dislodge yet inadvertently take the weapons with it. Still having her grip on her sword Ryia easily pulled it out, eliciting yet another cry of pain. There wasn't much point in continuing to fight it now that it was fleeing from her, suffering as deep wounds as it had as well, and so she instead turned her attention to the more pressing problem at hand. Whatever large thing that was approaching the group was what had caused the animals here to become panicked and violent to begin with. As such, it wasn't just a terror to them now, but was to them later as well as the more peaceful creatures of the forest. And so Ryia got herself ready to take on the creature that was coming towards them, bracing herself for the upcoming fight. Turning to Reinaan, after he dealt with his own weapon, she felt that at times like these he and Lindow were likely to share some kind of quip with one another. "So uh, you ready to uh, fight the big monster, thing." It was a work in progress.
  14. As Lana was readying herself for an attack from both the bugbear, she was happy to see the mine go off to trip up the metal cockroach and also the sudden armament of light that appeared right next to her. However, the bugbear wasn't any bit slowed down and Lana being both a bit distracted and not used to fight against such a long range weapon, wasn't able to do much but wince as she was struck with the whip. The monster taking advantage of this, continued to get closer to her with its clubbed raise and ready to hammer down onto Lana. The girl grit her teeth, and decided to meet the monstrous humanoid head on, letting go of her axe with one hand and using it to grab the light construct near her, before taking a swing with it towards the bugbear's arm. The bugbear's grip loosened as it grunted in pain, the club grazing her shoulder as it went off course and Lana gritting her teeth. Grabbing her greataxe with both hands, the girl took a small step back before going for a wide swing, the blade burying itself in the rib cage of the beast. With labored breathing as its bones were broken beneath the blade, the bugbear roared in anger as it brought up the butt of its whip to club Lana's head once again. Letting go of her axe, Lana continued to press forward, drawing out her dagger and raising her arm to take the blow. Wincing yet again, the girl let out a battle cry as she plunged her dagger into the tall creature's chest. Having the wind knocked out of it again, the bugbear was stunned, giving Lana the opportunity to continue her assault, using gravity to aid her as she started to pull the blade through the torso of the creature. Dragging the dagger down, creating a hideous zig-zag pattern as she carved around the bone, the bugbear let out a cry of pain as it stared flailing its arms around in desperation to hit Lana. The didn't do much to avoid this, taking a few blows from the whip as she continued to drag the knife down before finally pulling it out. Grabbing her greataxe with her free hand, the girl pulled out the weapon causing the bugbear to topple to the ground, dead. Panting, pulling her axe back behind her, the girl looked over to the now approaching no longer stunned rust monster. Grimacing at the creature, she said, "I'll give you something to snack on you gross large...guh."
  15. Fen began to ponder on where Melissa had gone off too, trying to figure out first when they had split off from each other. As she retraced her memories, it didn't seem to be all that important as soon enough Melissa had ended up finding them. Glad that her fellow fighter against multiversal evil was fine and now accounted for, Fen was happy to leave the mall. Sure, she had barely scratched the surface of what the building actually had to offer, but there were always other days that she could explore the labyrinthine building. Though, seeing the antics that Aduain had gotten to during the rest of their journey here, Fen decided that perhaps it would've been best to come here by herself next time. Getting back to their apartment building the girl was curious to see a bunch of small flying people working at cleaning the room, though by their uniform appearance assumed this to be their job. It was entirely possible that they were also just a bunch of hobbyists who enjoyed cleaning buildings, but as Melissa had talked to them about sending money to their company, she figured that this was likely not the case. Giving a small bow to the Fae Cleaning Crew, she as well added, "thank you for your help." Keeping a place like this constantly clean was probably no small undertaking. As the group began to settle in, Melissa going back upstairs, Aduain brought up what was next on their agenda. The girl, while not tired, was certainly not up to going out and doing yet another expedition in the day. She also couldn't help but feel bad for the Fae as the fish boy had made his comment on flooding the showers, giving a mental condolence to each of them and wondering what other types of room wrecking mischief they had to deal with in other buildings. As the boy seemed willing to put it on the back burner for now, Fen smiled commenting, "well, I'd prefer if you didn't but, well, for now. Hmmm..." The girl put a finger to her chin before looking around, her eyes settling on a different room in the building. "There's a room over there with stuff I don't recognize, so, maybe we should try figuring out what it all does?" The girl looked over to the rec room, seeing the oddly green felt table and the box with a glass window in it. If the kitchen had been anything to go by, she couldn't begin to imagine what kind of other wonders existed in this building for them to find.
  16. Is what the title says. For a bit I've been thinking about doing some fgo based campaign, and I decided that I could also probably work it as an RP too. So, like, I'm nowhere near close to being done with it and following this it'll probably be a bit before I actually make an OOC if interest is shown, but I figured I'd see if it's something people would be interested in or not. Main thing I can say off the bat is that players would probably play their choice of a master or servant. Other than that anything else you may have preliminary questions on I can answer as long as it's either not something I deem a spoiler and it's something I actually have an answer to. So yeah.
  17. As Arden had finished her battle phase, the pink haired lad briefly got up from his seat, an excited look on his face as he said, "hell yeah." Furiko turned and glanced at him, their eyes meeting for a moment before he sat down, clearing his throat and having his natural scowl return back to him. A single chuckle escaped her as she looked back to the duel and listened to what Itsuki had to say. As he mentioned Yuliya likely having a trick up her sleeve, Furiko added, "and Arden has none." The duel had played out from there, with Yuliya initiating her big move to suddenly bring out her two fusion dragons, combined with the destruction of all of Arden's monsters all at once. After Arden's turn a majority of the crowd had been left breathless, tensing up as to see how the one they were rooting for would possibly be able to turn this around, with the rest of the crowd loudly cheering. Now that had shifted, and all those who had been making noise before were silenced, the rest of the crowd erupting into a deafening cheer across the stadium. With Yuliya's victory cemented, Furiko gave a small applause, looking over to Itsuki. "All Arden had was a big field of monsters and if anything went wrong this turn, she had nothing to fall back on. Well, I suppose she still would've won like that anyway since Yuliya didn't have much defense herself, but that's what a single turn too early will do to you." Going over the duel in her head again while listening to the crowd, the girl sighed saying, "well, I'm certainly in the mood to duel now." Iris, meanwhile, had practically leaped for joy as Yuliya had won her duel. Letting out her own cheer, the girl looked smugly over to the pink haired boy, pointing at him. A haughty tone in her voice she said, "well, it would appear that it did matter after all!" The annoyance on the boy's face only grew as he looked away from her. "Whatever, it's not like I cared about this duel anyway." "Oh?" Iris raised an eyebrow, but before pestering him any further simply said, "well no matter. Oh, I should think of a way to celebrate this win. Perhaps another trip to that delightful bakery. It would make sense that I would be paying this time were that the case, though, and..." Iris got lost in her own thoughts as she tried to remember the costs of their last outing as well as how her finances were doing at the moment. "And with that, everybody, Yuliya Sekelsky is the winner of our opening duel! And what a showing that was, if I do say so myself. Nothing like dragons obliterating one another to really get the blood pumping. Well, I hope you folks at home enjoyed that. Normally I'd talk about the duel with my co-host, but of all the rotten luck she just isn't in yet. So when we get back from this commercial break I'll instead be discussing it with my audio guy instead! Hope to see you soon!" After Ai's message, the staff around the dueling area had motioned for the two duelists to vacate the premises. They didn't really care which exit they used, just that they needed to get off the field.
  18. Stunned from her attack, Ryia backed away from the lizard like creature as it tried to get its bearings. Then, as it began to charge at her, the girl rolled out of the way once more to avoid being trampled. Swiftly getting back to her feet, the girl started to rush after the lizard creature to close the gap between her and it. She knew that its primary way of fighting thus far had to simply be to charge her, so if she didn't take the fight to it she would simply be locked in an endless pattern of dodging or forcing Madelyn to cover for her. The girl looked away for a moment, hearing the more threatening roar off in the distance, before swiftly bashing her mace against the shield again. The creature for its part was confused to have not run into anything, suddenly whipped around at the noise only to then be met with a mace in its already injured face. Moving back, stunned a bit, the creature lashed out towards Ryia, bashing its face towards her. Taking a step forward and to the side, the girl lifted her shield and smashed it against the creature's face, parrying it to the side before going for yet another strike against its face. The creature roared in pain, clearly none too happy with its current predicament, before furiously going to shove at Ryia yet again. And once more the girl hopped to the side to avoid the attack, getting herself ready as the beast seemed ready to charge her once more.
