  1. Frustrated at the loss of her axe, Lana was all the more ready to murder the rust bug with the new weapon of light that Estelle had made. Thrusting the blade of light into the creature's face, drew to the noble mage's warning it dissipated in one strike. However, having already injured its face with her now destroyed axe, that proved to be enough to fell it. The girl let out a small victory shout as she grabbed her great axe out of the bug's corpse. As she was still frustrated but with the grossness of the bugs that she was fighting as well as the destruction of her weapon, the girl's angered expression fell on to the next Rust Monster that had been scampering its way over to her. She grimaced, unsure of what the best way to approach it was, fearing that just a head on confrontation would result in the destruction of her main weapon. Of course, Lana was not a girl of many tricks and the head on charge was perhaps one of her greatest. As she gripped the haft of her great axe tighter, she remembered what had happened to the first rust monster that she had fought not 10 seconds ago. Walking a bit down, the rust monster matched Lana's movements hurriedly scurrying over to where she was. Unfortunately for it, one more mine had found its leg, exploding and causing the bug to be knocked over onto its side. The bugbear who had been guiding them had seemed to be growing frustrated with these mines as well, whipping the other rust monster into action to cause it to hurry faster to Lana. Lana, not wanting to deal with two bugs at one and having a lot of anger to vent, slashed horizontally into the creature's exposed underbelly. A crunching noise could be heard as it let out a pained bug noise, its legs flailing around as it tried to right itself. Pulling the axe back, the girl let out a grunt of exertion before going to slash once again, causing the same crunching and squeal to happen before the rust monster finally stopped moving. Pulling her axe back, letting out another grunt the girl continued to grimace as the final rust monster was swiftly closing the gap between them. Pulling her axe back to keep it behind her and away from the rust monster, Lana just muttered, "I hate bugs."
  2. You can have an alt for any servant in fgo who does not already have one and isn't Ereshkigal. Who is it and what is the alt?
  3. Iris had been seated in the reserved area for the competitors, chilling as it was more colloquially referred to, watching the ongoing duel. Normally, Iris would've probably stayed in her room to watch these, or find a nice cafe of some sort to sit down and eat at while watching. But as Yuliya was dueling today, and opening the tournament off no less, Iris had decided to be there in person to watch it to either congratulate or console her friend depending on the outcome. Of course, Iris had every bit of faith that Yuliya would win this, even if her opponent was technically more favored to do so. Only adding to this confidence, as the girl had struck Arden with her dragons Iris let out a rather loud cheer. From a seat nearby, she heard the scoff of a pink haired male with a beanie, saying, "she got first blood, big deal." Raising an eyebrow, clearly irked by this boy, Iris retorted, "what do you mean 'big deal'? She cleared her opponent's board and blocked out her set up. All while still having the resources to deal damage. I would say that's cheer worthy," and in fact she had verbalized it so. "Yeah, yeah, I'm sure the zombie player is super on the ropes now with having more things thrown in the grave," the man sarcastically retorted. Iris's frown only grew as she glared at him, he glaring back at her, before a third voice joined in. "Now, now, let's not get worked up here." The voice belonged to a purple haired woman wearing a nice hat - not so nice that everyone would be inclined to call it as such though, but still nice enough. Hat not withstanding, the woman as well was easily recognizable to anyone who had been even remotely interested in the dueling scene for the past few years. The third place of last year's Blue Rose tournament, and having placed second many times before that, was a woman by the name of Furiko Hoshizora. Giving a smile to the both of them, prompting the boy to click his tongue and frustratingly look away from her, she then looked back to Iris. "It's true though, she has bought some space for herself at the very least. And now Arden's the one who has to be mindful of a continuous card..." Furiko put a hand to her chin, thinking for a moment before she looked over to someone else. "How about you," she called out to Itsuki. "What do you think of this match so far?"
  4. Well Hololive is neither a game nor an anime After thinking about it going with the boring option of the Traveler from Genshin, obviously Lumine. They'd be a foreigner, probably with some color type changing stuff to them and maybe some class affinity stuff too. Anime wise, let's just go with Monogatari. I have legit no preference on a servant I just want to see what NIssio Issin and Nasu could make together. But like, I guess gun to my head, Berserker Kiss-Shot with welfare Alter Ego Shinobu.
  5. Ryia listened to the explanation that Madelyn and Keres had given about the elves. She was made only more curious about the elves themselves and what their magic was like here, but ultimately figured that it would be best for all of them if they didn't have to experience it. She also couldn't help but imagine exactly how things would go down with Madelyn were they to run into any of them, very clearly being able to see how that conversation would end up playing out. All the same, in spite of entering the forest they had still not managed to see any of the aforementioned elves that were supposed to live here so far. Instead, the first very clear and present thing that greeted them was a strange beaked reptilian creature. Looking at them, she couldn't help but be a bit on edge with Damien's comments doing little to assuage her nerves on them. And as they started to charge at her it seemed she had every right to be as nervous of them. The creature's did little to actually give room to pass by them; in fact they seemed to be charging directly towards the group with the intent to ram them. With one of them moving towards her, Ryia thought to bar its path with her rock wall but had remembered what Keres had said prior, feeling like it would be incredibly disrespectful on her part if she were to just uproot the ground. As such, she decided a less magical solution was in order and quickly vaulted out of the way, still not wanting to actually engage them in combat if she could avoid it. Of course, the large reptile didn't seem intent on just charging past her and going it's merry way, instead skidding to a halt and turning to face her. Getting back to her feet, she locked eyes with the creature, clearly seeing the fear it had in them. Furrowing her brow, Ryia drew her shield and mace as she knew that it wasn't about to back down against her. As it charged her again, the girl went for a shorter hop this time, getting to its side before striking at it with her mace. As it had been a solid hit, the creature let out a groan before going to swing its tail at her. Bringing up her shield, the girl was knocked back by the attack, tumbling backwards from the hit before getting back to her feet. As she stood, with the creature so close she wanted to keep its attention focused on her rather than either of their mages, and so she struck her mace against her shield. Feeling threatened by the clanging noise her weapon and shield made, the beast started to charge towards her once more. Before it could get to her, a barrier of light appearing in front of her. "Oh you are far too reckless aren't you?" Madelyn called out to her, letting out a gasp as the beast collided with the wall, the barrier still holding in spite of it. With it stopped right in front of her, Ryia called out a, "sorr- er, thanks." Twisting herself around the barrier, the girl went to smash her mace into its beak like face.
  6. As the enormous rust bug tipped over, having been properly exploded, Lana went in for her swing against the creature's underbelly. With a sickening crunch she had managed to open the creature up in one strike, Lana herself having a disgusted expression on her face as she pulled the blade back. With one dead, the other that had been coming towards them didn't see too perturbed by it, unlike Lana who very not okay with second one. She was even less okay with it as it started to touch her axe with its feelers and bite at her. Letting out an, "ahh!" the girl pulled her great axe backwards along with her arms to attempt to avoid the bite of the creature, before going to bring her axe all the way back down towards its head. The blade buried itself into the creature's back, but with its moving feelers as any indication it was still quite clearly alive and trying to eat both her and her axe. Pulling the blade out, the girl winded her swing up again before burying the blade into the creature's side. Clearly angered by this, it went to bite at her again. Not wanting to have her arm made a snack of, Lana let go of her blade before stepping back a bit and pulling out her hand axe. With its head now exposed, the girl went to strike into its head, the axe finding purchase but not going deep enough. As it did, the feelers of the creature started to go across her blade causing it to rust almost immediately. An annoyed expression crossing her face, the girl shouted, "hey! I paid good money for this!"
  7. Fen chuckled along with Adonis for the moment that he did, but didn't say much more as he made his exit, giving a small wave to him as he left. Looking over to Aduain the girl said, "but that was pretty cool Aduain. I knew you could jump and move fast, but I didn't know you were also super strong..." Putting a hand to her chin, curious, the girl asked, "normally with magic, from where I'm from each person only gets one kind and that's it. Does your uh, Nen stuff work differently?" She looked to Morgan as well, as if inviting her to join in on the question too, though also curious about how Nen worked in the zombie girl as well. After the question was finished, Fen was ready to buy the clothing she had gotten and move on to whatever else there was to view in this impressively massive building. However, she had noticed that there was something off about the group. Well, she had figured something wasn't quite right from the get go but the excitement of the arm wrestle had distracted her slightly from it. Turning and looking around for a brief moment, Fen looked to the others, curious once again. "Where's Melissa?"
  8. Fen had walked alongside Morgan and Aduain to the athletic section of the clothing store, only for Fen to stop in her tracks briefly as soon as they saw the statue of the man named Adonis. Or perhaps it was better to say the man himself was like a statue, as he began to extoll praises to himself and seeming to think they were here to learn from him. Fen was indeed impressed by the man's physique, more so in how he had managed to reach such a state, even if she didn't exactly seek the same results for herself. She was fine with her figure as it was and the idea of being a hulking woman of muscle moving around the kitchen and doing delicate work with such bulky arms didn't appeal to her. Though, it would probably help when it came to using iron. As the girl continued to think about the pros and cons of having such muscles in the work place she realized she was suddenly being reached for by the man, who was already holding Aduain as it was. "Eh?" She wondered what exactly was happening but was suddenly hoisted into the air, resting on the man's arm as he seemed to effortlessly be lifting just about everyone who was in the immediate area. The girl let out an, "oooh," impressed at the man's display of herculean strength, noting that the muscles he had here were also not just for show. She wasn't really sure what went into getting this level overhead lift, but she let out a small applause as the man's show came to an end. After the display, the Aduain had then seemed to want to challenge the man to a duel of pure physical strength. The girl wasn't particularly sure why, wondering if he was like some of her more combative and fight happy guild members. All the same, she joined the rest of the audience as the arm wrestling match began. Fen had already known how strong Aduain was, seeing the force he could strike and jump with. But she hadn't realized that it was more than just explosive power that he could generate. Watching the match carefully, she had been impressed with how the fish man had been able to match and start to overtake Adonis in this contest. As the crowd had been cheering for Adonis earlier as well, Fen couldn't help but let out a, "go! fight, Aduain!" Though, her voice was much softer and singular compared to the roar of the crowd. As the match seemed to be resolving, though, Adonis's hand nearly hitting the table something happened. Aduain suddenly seemed to lose all strength in his arm, and the body builder came out the victor. As the crowd roared back to life, celebrating the man's victory, Fen thought about what had just happened. She wasn't sure how his power actually worked, but he didn't seem to particularly be in pain or exhausted so it didn't seem like he ran out of...whatever magic he was using. He didn't seem particularly upset about losing either. But, as Adonis had let out a hearty laugh and the whole crowd, including her teammate, had joined in the girl couldn't help but smile along. Walking over to the fish, going to pat him in consolation but realizing that both his shoulders and back were blocked by his head, reached out a hand to do so but ended up pulling it back a bit confused. All the same, she said, "well, that was a great effort there Aduain, unfortunate how things ended but," the girl gave a small chuckle before simply giving the fish man a thumbs up for a job well done. Looking back to Adonis, she gave a small bow saying, "good job to you too Adonis. I've seen what you can do but well, uh, I'd rather keep myself how I am now. Oh but, really, I do hope things go well for you on your muscle building uh...journey."
  9. Lana continued to run along the left hand side of the room, following after Chris as the monsters they were facing seemed to split up and try to answer them. The girl grimaced seeing the two of the rust bugs skitter ahead of the bugbear. As both she and Chris got to the water's edge the girl still couldn't help but feel like something was waiting for her underneath the surface, but managed to get her focus off of that as Chris wondered his plan aloud. Unfortunately for Lana the paranoia was replaced with a feeling of revulsion as she imagined the rust bugs on their backs with their legs flailing about. "Maybe? I've never tried....bug tipping before..." The girl shuddered, not really wanting to get up and grab onto the large creature, and so she instead just followed after Chris's lead. With greatxe drawn, the girl gulped as she jumped over the small body of water before going to rush towards the nearest rust bug. Bringing her axe to her side, the girl went to swing the blade in a sideways arc towards the creature.
  10. Walking across the bridge towards the forested island proper, Ryia couldn't help but feel a bit tense. This would mark the third island that they had gone to in search of a demon gate to destroy, yet this was the first one they hadn't simply teleported into. She couldn't help but think of think of this as a small blessing, as they would most likely hit yet another desolated outpost and be immediately in hostile territory with no knowledge of what was surrounding them. For this, she was thankful to the other guards in the land prior to warn them of the man-eating lycans and generally isolationist elves. Of course, this wasn't the first time they would be dealing with a people that simply did not want them around, but whatever bad blood existed between that Minotaur Tribe and the humans at least didn't lead to outright violence on either end. All the same, it did little to actually prepare her for what the elves, were they to come across them, would be like. And the sight of the sea of trees and only those did little to calm her nerves. As she walked into the forest proper the girl couldn't help but feel even more on edge, as if waiting for the elves to pop out immediately and dissuade them from moving any further in. True to the knights words - and Ryia wasn't even sure if this was the case normally anyway - they were not stopped. There were no elves to be seen at all. Really, the only sign of non-plant life was the sound of animals moving, rustling and making their own variety of noises around. Which, from where they had been last certainly didn't calm her nerves at all. Looking around, though it was possible to go around the perimeter and scout more of the forest, she didn't think it would be very fruitful. After all, she had doubted that the demon gate would exist on the edge of the island and simply getting info from the locals would probably be more useful then aimlessly wandering. And even if they didn't have any friendly settlements to go to, Ryia would much rather take her chances with the elves then the lycans. And so, taking a deep breath, the girl looked behind her to the others saying, "well, um, shall we?" Before turning forward and continuing to walk deeper into the forest, trying to keep an eye out for anything that would leap out from the trees at them.
  11. Fen hurried over to the disaster crash site of the fish and the zombie, looking around every which way to make sure that everything was alright. Initially she hadn't actually even looked at the two at all, instead looking around them to make sure nothing fleshy or rotten had gone flying away. As she didn't seem to notice anything the girl let out a sigh of relief as she saw Aduain hoist up Morgan from the floor, studying the zombie and confirming that she was all in one piece. With what little she knew of Morgan, she was a bit impressed actually, saying, "you're really sturdily put together, huh?" After that, she looked over to Aduain who seemed to be beaming about hurriedly going to check out new clothes. The girl looked at the clothes scattered at his feet and then back to him, realizing that he didn't seem to be wearing really anything prior to coming to this store. Yet now he seemed to be literally jumping out from one set into another. Perhaps there wasn't any clothes in the world he came from and seeing something new like this was what was giving him such a fit of excitement? Though, Morgan was also from the same world as him and seemed to be no stranger to clothing. Maybe it was a personal or racial creed against clothing and now that he was no longer bound by his own worlds rules he was seeing fit to break them? Fen understood such indulgences and thought they were fine in moderation, but going too overboard in one's excitement was never a good thing. Though...this was just clothing they were talking about. Looking over to where he was pointing, the girl then raised an even more confused eyebrow at it. Athletic clothing certainly seemed like a nice thing to have in their line of work, yet she wasn't sure if Aduain himself needed much slimming down. As far as she could see, there was nothing that would make her think that Aduain was in fact overweight, but she had never actually met someone of his species before so she didn't have much to compare it to. Unless it was a suggestion? She wasn't sure if zombies even could lose weight, at least in the normal way. And as for herself...well, she was aware that since relative peace had returned to Arbolia she hadn't been training as much as she used to, but that was hardly a reason to think she had gotten fat! Probably...And how rude to say suggest so otherwise. All the same, Adauin seemed to be quite enthusiastic about it and so the girl politely said, "ah well, um, sure. I was still looking for more clothes anyway and uh..." Deciding that the weight loss was for him, Fen gave an assuring nod saying, "I'm sure you'll hit your goal in no time."
  12. Lana continued to lie on the floor, exhausted and lethargic as she watched her teammates dispatch the remaining two fish goblins. With that done, Lana rolled back on to her back and seemed to just be content lying there, letting out an annoyed groan as Chris asked how she was feeling. Though that were enough to convey the mood she was feeling, she did add, "food sounds good." She closed her eyes for a moment, contemplating taking a nap, but before she could actually pass out she felt the familiar warm healing sensation pulse over her. As her energy was being restored as well, her body no longer being near devoid of blood, Lana suddenly felt an incredible soreness ache across her body. Letting out another pained groan, the girl opened her eyes before trying to motivate herself by saying, "just two more." Getting up, the girl grabbed her small arsenal of weapons off the ground before following the group downstairs. As they entered the next room, Lana instinctually let out a "geh," immediately being cautious of the pools of water in the room and drawing her axe as if she were ready to fight the water itself. This new found animosity towards water, though, was quickly replaced by more feelings of revulsion as she looked over to see the even more disgusting goblin variants alongside even more grosser bugs than the mosquitos she had just encountered. She again couldn't help herself from letting out an annoyed "ugh," as she saw them completely obliterate the metal that was tossed to them. Looking to her own axe with worry Lana quickly brought it over to Estelle at her behest, saying her own, "thanks," as she tightened her grip around the haft as if that would somehow keep it safer from being rusted. Nodding at Chris's statement she said, "left sounds good. Ugh...just...watch out for the pools..." The girl was certainly not looking for a repeat of last floor, but still began to run to the left anyhow.
  13. With Yuliya's help, Iris, Zoe and Leila had all managed to get to the beach easily enough. Once there, they were free to split up and do whatever it was that they had seen fit to do to spend the rest of their day on. Once that was all done, they all went back to their lodgings to spend the night how they saw fit. Airing that night on several different stations was a brief story on a duel that had happened between two of the duelists in the Blue Rose tournament. Supposedly the duel itself was entirely unofficial and conveniently when the duel had ended security in the building had been asked to escort both the duelists and reporters out of there. All the same, despite with how casual the duel might've seemed to any onlooker, this didn't stop the various news stations and forums from blowing up with predictions, conclusions and somehow judgements on the strength of every duelists based on this singular duel. Regardless of whatever wild claims were being made, though, one thing was clear and that was that the public's excitement for the tournament was only growing. May 2nd, Monday, 2:00 PM The night had come and gone, heavy rain during it but leaving only a small drizzle to continue into the next day. In spite of the weather, the people were still a bustling about and it was clear that the tournament venue - the Aspect Stadium - was already filling to capacity. The duelists themselves, though guaranteed seats inside if they so wanted to watch, had found that if they didn't come early enough they would have to wade through a sea of people to get anywhere while the crowds were still buying refreshments and finding their seats before the duel actually started. Even if they did come earlier then the crowds it wasn't as if there weren't people still there either, and no matter what time it was the likelihood of them being asked questions on sight was always high. All the same, once the time had come for the duel, all the lights dimmed. Then, a spotlight appeared towards the center where a woman - noted to be the person currently in charge of heading the event - stood, sunglasses on even still indoors. "Helllooooo everyone. To all of you who have been here before and all of those fresh to our event, those casually into dueling, aspiring pros themselves or people who are here on a whimsy. I, your host and commentator Ai, am here to welcome you all to the Aspect Stadium. And more importantly, to the opening duel of the Blue Rose Tournament!" The crowd cheered as the woman took a brief pause. As they died down again, Ai continued. "I've already stood on ceremony enough yesterday, so instead, let's get straight into the duel!" Music started to play across the stadium, as the enormous display behind the woman lit up. "Coming in as Camellia's own second seed, playing her Thunder Dragon deck. We have Yuliya Sekelsky!" The crowd's cheering was only growing, as Yuliya's profile shot appeared on the screen, her deck and placement being noted alongside it, with a trail of lights leading from the stage to the door that Yuliya would emerge from. "And her opponent, the first seed of Empiria, sporting her Zombie World deck. It's Arden Fitzory." Similar applause and fanfare would be met for Arden's appearance. As the two made their way to the stage, Ai said, "now, I give both of you the honor to start this tournament off properly." As she gave the floor to those two, Ai quickly pivoted away from them and broke out into a full sprint, presumably needing to make it back to the commentator's box for the actual duel itself.
  14. Ryia furrowed her brow at the response. There was only one city and it was one of elves, which meant their only means of getting information about the demon gate was in a settlement of people that didn't like them. In the center of forest they weren't welcome in either, both from the locals and perhaps the local wildlife as well. She wasn't quite sure what the elves had against them, though she couldn't help but wonder if they shared a similar animosity that the minotaurs did. Which if that were the case, that would only make their mission even more difficult. Ryia frowned more as they mentioned the villages of the Lycans as well. She didn't even really know that they had villages to begin with but couldn't help but agree that it'd be best to stay clear of them. As far as she knew most other races were simply different from humans, only physically and sometimes magically. Lycans, however, were the only ones she knew to be truly monstrous. Shapeshifting, unstable, man-eating people, so bizarre an idea to her she couldn't help but feel like people had made them up. Of course, having seen a fire and ice breathing two-headed lion and a shark that launched its head from a whip like spine, such a thing seemed much less far-fetched to her now. Though, now, she also couldn't help but wonder if they too were a product of some demon gate magic. After being lost in her thoughts for a bit, Ryia snapped back to reality, looking back to the guards. "Hm, I...I see. Well, um, thanks for the information. I'll be sure to well, be on the lookout for anything like that. To, uh, steer clear of it, that is." With a smile and a bow, Ryia made her way away from the guards and went towards the bridge, awaiting the rest of the group before moving on to the next island.
  15. As Lana flailed her arms about, the girl found that fate was on her side here. She was exhausted at it was and wasn't the greatest swimmer to begin with. In fact, she had only gotten back to the surface because she had been able to push off the corpse of her foe. As such, she was quite relieved to find that she was already next to land, grabbing at the ground. Continuing to cough, water spewing out of her mouth as she did, Lana eventually managed to pull herself up. With her knife on the ground next to her, the girl simply lied on her back, coughing more as she tried to catch her breath and no longer be drowning. Turning her head a bit, the girl let out a groan between coughs, seeing that there were still monsters to be fought and hoping they wouldn't come near her. On that end, the Sahaugin that Chris had attacked turned to avoid the strike, moving back away from the prone caster. Not particularly agile, though it had still managed to avoid death by throat stabbing, Chris had still gotten a cut on the neck of the creature. As it had managed to put Estellise between it and Chris now, the noble caster did not want to be on the front lines of facing the monster and so she started to back away from it. Seeing her move, the Sahaugin went to dive at her only to suddenly receive a blast of light from the young girl. Though she had experienced some recoil, Estelliese had still managed to knock the creature away from her.
  16. Fen continued to do her browsing of clothing, keeping an eye out for any stray parts of Morgan that might've been at risk of falling off. Much to her pleasure, there didn't seem to be anything like that happening, though the staff still seemed to be immensely distressed as the two other girls seemed willing to just cut the dress they were discussing in two. It seemed that even if the group from other worlds weren't here, Prana still had no shortage of oddballs. The girl noticed Melissa stepping out, presumably going to the dressing room as she had wanted to, and so Fen continued to both browse and act as a mall sentry on the zombie girl. A bit later Melissa had returned, though rather than next to Morgan she instead went to Fen. The young chef looked the girl up and down, with a slight "ooooh" coming out of her mouth as she saw the girl's dress. As Melissa asked about it, twirling to show it off, Fen smiled happily at the girl. "I think it looks really pretty on you, Melissa." The girl gave her comment, and then paused before feeling like she should add more to her compliment. It wasn't as though she was lying but just leaving it at that made her opinion feel a bit hollow. So, letting out a small chuckle she said, "sorry that, that's all I have to say. I'm not much of fashion expert but it does look like it just um, works? All of it, with you. Oh, maybe - I've been having some trouble figuring out some clothes for myself so maybe you could - " Before Fen could finish her statement, she noticed something out of the corner of her eye. A blue bur had zoomed through the store. A crashing noise could be heard. The crash had occurred against her patchwork companion. Fen seemed to have completely halted her thought mid-sentence, her smile still on her face as she instead instinctually let out a, "oh no." Looking over to the accident site, Fen said, "I need to go make sure everything is alright over there."
  17. With the conversation having ended and their business on this island having finished the group had begun to make their way to the next demon gate. Ryia was a bit troubled with how things ended with the minotaur, but she knew next to nothing about the history of the people there and couldn't possibly hope to play mediator to try and make everyone get along. Lindow was right in that she couldn't solve every problem, at least not with the demon gates still around, and so she just took solace in knowing that all the business caused by the demon gate there was resolved. As they arrived at the outpost nearest the bridge, she couldn't help but feel a bit relieved as the knights were all still there as well as thanking them for their work. She was happy to know that, at least, the activity of all the beasts and monsters on the island had lessened. However, the topic then shifted to a warning of sorts about the forest they were about to approach. The girl didn't actually know all that much about elves, her only exposure being the one she had traveled with for a few days, and didn't really know if they were any bit less predictable then a human was. Beyond that, though, she furrowed her brow at the note of the elves appearing less frequently. It was a small shift at best, much smaller then an everlasting sun or a sudden uproar in monsters. But all the same it was a sudden shift in the status quo of the area. The girl couldn't help but leap to the conclusion that the demon gate was involved in some way, but of course without knowing anything about the elves or the island they were going to she couldn't deny that she was perhaps just being incredibly paranoid about it. So, not commenting on that further, the girl simply nodded to the knights. "Oh, well, um, thank you very much. That's greatly appreciated." The girl wasn't sure how in a rush they were to get going, but all the same restocking before the long trip was always a good thing. Curious about when they would need to get stocked again, Ryia looked to the knights and asked, "oh and uh, before we go would you happen to um, know of any settlements or some sort that we should uh, be on the lookout for?"
  18. With one outfit down, Fen went on to consider what else it was she could get. After all she now had a proper work attire and a proper casual attire, which while the bare essentials was quite sad for a wardrobe and quite obnoxious to wash for. The most simple solution to Fen was to buy a few more sets of the same outfit she had just picked out, but thinking of a wardrobe of nothing but gray with one bright blue outfit seemed even worse to her. With a renewed fervor to search around the shop for the proper outfit, Fen looked over to Melissa as the commented on needing the dressing room soon, saying, "oh feel free to use it, I have much more browsing to get done." With that, the girl began her hunt for clothing once more. As she started to look at skirts, pants and shirts of various colors, she looked over to see that Morgan had something of a gathering around her. The zombie herself didn't seem to mind as the employees all seemed to turn their gaze to her and as far as Fen could tell she wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. Yet still, she couldn't help but feel some apprehension from them, and she didn't want to be kicked out of the first store she had decided to shop in on this new world. So she decided to see what, if any, cause for concern there was and walk over to them. "Excuse me, um but well is she," the girl gestured over to Morgan, "causing any trouble, or something?" The employees for their part seemed to firstly be surprised that their stares had been found out, and rather than answer Fen about it opted to ignore having been asked and simply continue on with what they were doing. One of them, however, kept looking over to Fen before finally whispering, "she looks like...she's going to fall apart on the merchandise." "Ah...ahaha..." Fen gave out a nervous laugh as she spoke her concerns. "well, I can't say I know her very well but from what I've seen she seems...well put together...so there's probably no need to worry." The comment would, normally, sound a bit ridiculous but Fen couldn't help but think their fears were somewhat validated, looking at the patchwork undead that Morgan was. Of course, the zombie was here to fight great extraplanar threats like the rest of them so she had to think she was somewhat sturdy...unless she fought by throwing parts of her body around. Fen briefly furrowed her brow at the thought but quickly tried to switch back to a look of assurance to the workers. "T-truth be told, an inspection is supposed to happen today...if they see a f-finger laying around..." the employees turned pale. A troubled expression crossed Fen's face as well as she suddenly understood the gravity of the situation. As a group of chefs the Yi family was no stranger to sanitary inspectors and as one that dealt in the cooking and preparing of monsters they had their own methods of doing things that were not often understood by government officials. As such, she knew what a huge bane one could be to a store, and so she nodded to them. "That...that would be very bad, yes." Looking back to Morgan, and then back to the employees, a serious expression crossed her face. Nodding again, the girl said, "Don't worry. I'll make sure to keep her from...falling apart, and if she does then I'll handle the clean up before anyone notices." The employees seemed to be hesitant to accept her offer, one still seeming nauseous, but all the same left the matter in Fen's hands. With that settled, Fen looked to them saying, "oh, and one more question. What color do you think would look best on me?" With her mission set, Fen started to trail behind Morgan and Melissa. While she could just move along with them normally, the girl saw the two wrapped up in a conversation with two other ladies. Thinking it rude to just interrupt whatever was going on, Fen simply continued to look as though she were browsing more clothes, though continuing to keep an eye on Morgan as she did.
  19. Getting ready to tag along with Melissa to the mall, and now Aduain as well, after finishing her meal and cleaning up the girl gave another bow to the knight lady. "Thank you again Natasha, and I can't wait to see you again." While the girl's spirits were lifted, both due to going on a trip to own more than a singular outfit as well as the prospect of having a new cooking teacher, she was given some degree of pause as Morgan said that she had wanted to come along as well. Fen should have figured such a thing would happen, and once more it wasn't as though she actually had a problem spending time with the zombie girl, yet she still couldn't help but feel a bit of reluctance at their fourth joining. All the same, she walked alongside her fellow friends and workers, getting to the mall they had protected yesterday. Fen didn't seem to be any bit bothered by the fact that no one was any bit bothered by yesterday's brawl in the streets. She did find it curious that there wasn't a hint of destruction there, but chalked that up to Mauvache herself either being or having the service of a skill mage who had some form of repairing magic. What did seem to take her aback, though, was the sheer size and scope of the mall. Though every building in this city was larger than what she was used to, she felt there something to be even more imposing about the expansive mall before her. Perhaps because she was actively looking to enter and search the building that she felt this way, only coupled by the array of options each floor seemed to offer. While the girl's eyes lit up at the food court underneath them, though knowing their original mission and funds available had to swallow the bitter pill of being unable to go there. For now. After taking a refreshing drink of water the quartet of clothing shoppers found themselves at their destination. A clothing store. The store itself, while not particularly large, was certainly not strapped for product. Neatly labeled sections contained stacks of clothing, all of which was relatively plain looking with the only major distinctive features on some of them being one or two words or different kind of strange symbols. Sometimes both. Fen herself wasn't looking for anything flashy, and while she did enjoy her skirts and dresses she knew that her job here would involve her fighting a lot. So, the girl was looking for more practical things. Picking out what could only be seen to others as a drab outfit consisting of gray t-shirts and similarly gray shorts Fen smiled pleased with herself saying, "perfect."
  20. Iris continued to stare at the new duo as Yuliya went on to explain who one of them was. The girl had figured that she had seen both of them around before, and being confirmed that at least one of them was as well a competitor here certainly helped the girl realize why. Being made curious about what the two of them were doing, beyond what appeared to be a friendly exchange (and perhaps exchange of food,) the girl continued to listen to her own friend. She then gave a slight nod at the mention of going to their own linner plans, saying, "I must admit, I have been made most curious about this new meal as well. So perhaps..." She trailed off, as she noticed that the two they were watching were now in fact watching them. "The beach, hm." Leila seemed to go deep into thought about the place in question. She had always been fairly neutral to the beach as a whole, though thought it was an awful place to actually eat at. In spite of that, she knew of several stalls and restaurants set up on or near the beach as well as knowing that there were always people looking to sell food on the go there. And she never had any complaints with the food there to begin with, so as Zoe seemed ready to get her coffee Leila nodded saying, "good plan." It was then that Zoe had called out to others, apparently those who had been watching them. Turning around with the speed and shock equivalent to one who had just figured out that they were suddenly being tailed by a pair of assassins, Leila seemed to be suddenly incredibly alert and on her toes. Literally. This lasted for barely any time at all, though, as she happily waved to the two and seemed to instantly relaxed as Zoe said her name, giving a wave to the two to confirm that she was indeed Leila. Iris's felt somewhat embarrassed being suddenly approached and called out in the attention they were giving, but her face as well perked up as the girl told them to bring all of their food inquires to the other, Leila. "Well, that is precisely what my friend and I were wondering about. Is it, well, food?" Leila, with a proud look on her face, nodded. "All of it?" The girl nodded proudly once more. Her curiosity piqued even more, Iris asked, "so, what do you have?" Walking over to the other two, Leila enthusiastically shoved the bags in their faces as she began rattling off each and every thing that she had in them. The bag from the current cafe they were at was as expected, being a collection of various pastries - muffins, bagels and cookies. Then she shifted around to show them the two others, one from a convenience store and the other from a grocery store. The convenience store had seemed to be filled with nothing but junk food, with a few flavors of sodas and chips that Yuliya would know were limited to only the Blue Rose Tournament time of year. Conversely, her grocery bag seemed to be filled with nothing but vegetables and fruits. After showing off her food, the girl added, "fufufu, my shopping is far from over. We're going to the beach and then..." the girl paused for a moment, looking up to the sky. As excited as she had just been, it all seemed to vanish in an instant as she continued to space out and stare off. Then, after a few more seconds passed she looked back down to the pair. Bluntly, she stated, "I don't know how to get to the beach." Iris blinked at the girl, unsure of what to make of her, but said, "well, much as I'd like to be of assistance, I don't know the city very well myself. Oh, but Yuliya here is a local, so perhaps she could help."
  21. As the group had approached the minotaur encampment, the chief had seemed none too pleased with them being here. As the man spoke up, Ryia definitely felt the need to speak up but actually doing so and being first into the conversation had proved more difficult to her then she had first imagined. Truly, the difference in picturing a conversation in her head - not that that had even gone smoothly - and enacting it in reality were very different beasts. As such, both Lindow and Reinaan had stepped up to speak first, both offering their opinions on the demon gate as a whole. The girl was given a bit of pause as the leader seemed to brush off the notion of the demons being much of anything to worry about, though that seemed to only assure her more, nodding to Reinaan as the boy called back to her. Stepping over to the minotaur chief, the girl looked up at him saying, "well, yes, we're neither here to uh, gloat or fight you. If I were to pick a reason for coming here, then well, first, just to uh, let you know about the gate. In general." Which her teammates had taken care of already. "And well, secondly, to try and make peace. Between everyone." Thinking to explain herself further the girl added, "since it's very well, dangerous out here. And filled with ruins. So I just thought it'd be better for everyone, if everyone got along with each other again. Yeah."
  22. Lana had barely managed to hold her breath as she was tossed into the water below, sinking into the surprisingly lukewarm body of water. The girl tried to struggle her way up, though found her general lack in experience in swimming and current fatigue to be hampering her. To make matters worse, there was also the thing that threw her in the water propelling itself towards her at speeds that she didn't like. As Lana was a very straightforward girl the thought of matching weapons did cross the addled girl's mind, but her arms were already having a hard enough time moving as it were. So instead, the girl simply let go of her hand axe and decided to take the problem much more head on. As the sea creature moved towards her to stab at her, Lana put her hands up to block against the attack,. grabbing at the two outer ends of the trident. Pushing against it, the monster had opted to pull her in as well as claw at the girl. Twisting her body to avoid the sharp hand, her expression contorting into one of great strain, the girl then pulled forward on the trident to propel herself even more forward. Using this forward momentum, the girl butt her head against the fishy creature's. As they were underwater and Lana was far from proper ramming speeds, this did little more then stun the creature - likely more out of surprise then anything else - but it did end up bringing Lana closer. Close enough for her to notice the slits on the creature's neck. Lana wasn't an expert at, well, anything but she figured anything weird looking was a good enough starting point to attack. Letting go of the trident, the girl brought her hands over to the creature's neck, beginning to press her thumbs into the neck slits that it had. As she did, the sea goblin let go of its trident and started to move in a panicked frenzy flailing its arms about every which way. The momentum of it caused Lana to swing around to its back, where she proceeded to grab onto its neck even tighter than before. Being underwater she could barley make out what any of the noises actually were, but she felt the creature was going through something to similar to her at the moment. Her lungs were burning and her mouth kept trying to force itself open to get some air back into it, her vision as well starting to go a bit blurry as the water continued to flow into them. Yet still she persisted, trying to strangle the creature with her bare hands as it clawed at her hands. Thinking this was taking too long and she was certainly running out of time, Lana let go with one hand, before drawing out a knife to her side. Jamming the blade into the creature's neck lung, the panic seemed to only increase in the creature as it attempted to pry her off. Her own breath finally giving out, Lana's mouth opened as water started to flood into it. The girl began to feel a choking sensation go through her, yet despite gasping for breath or trying to cough neither seemed to work. Instead, her body started to go into its own frenzy, pulling the dagger through the sea goblin's neck, before pushing off the creature's back to launch herself upward. She didn't look down or back at the monster, bleeding out and desperately trying to reach out for Lana but losing the strength to as it sank, as she desparately tried to get to the surface. As her head broke through the water, she expelled the water in her mouth almost immediately, coughing and hacking up as much as she could. The girl flailed her arms at the surface, trying to stay a float all while gasping and coughing out more water that got into her, not making any headway and rapidly losing what little strength she had left.
