  1. Iris continued to stare at the new duo as Yuliya went on to explain who one of them was. The girl had figured that she had seen both of them around before, and being confirmed that at least one of them was as well a competitor here certainly helped the girl realize why. Being made curious about what the two of them were doing, beyond what appeared to be a friendly exchange (and perhaps exchange of food,) the girl continued to listen to her own friend. She then gave a slight nod at the mention of going to their own linner plans, saying, "I must admit, I have been made most curious about this new meal as well. So perhaps..." She trailed off, as she noticed that the two they were watching were now in fact watching them. "The beach, hm." Leila seemed to go deep into thought about the place in question. She had always been fairly neutral to the beach as a whole, though thought it was an awful place to actually eat at. In spite of that, she knew of several stalls and restaurants set up on or near the beach as well as knowing that there were always people looking to sell food on the go there. And she never had any complaints with the food there to begin with, so as Zoe seemed ready to get her coffee Leila nodded saying, "good plan." It was then that Zoe had called out to others, apparently those who had been watching them. Turning around with the speed and shock equivalent to one who had just figured out that they were suddenly being tailed by a pair of assassins, Leila seemed to be suddenly incredibly alert and on her toes. Literally. This lasted for barely any time at all, though, as she happily waved to the two and seemed to instantly relaxed as Zoe said her name, giving a wave to the two to confirm that she was indeed Leila. Iris's felt somewhat embarrassed being suddenly approached and called out in the attention they were giving, but her face as well perked up as the girl told them to bring all of their food inquires to the other, Leila. "Well, that is precisely what my friend and I were wondering about. Is it, well, food?" Leila, with a proud look on her face, nodded. "All of it?" The girl nodded proudly once more. Her curiosity piqued even more, Iris asked, "so, what do you have?" Walking over to the other two, Leila enthusiastically shoved the bags in their faces as she began rattling off each and every thing that she had in them. The bag from the current cafe they were at was as expected, being a collection of various pastries - muffins, bagels and cookies. Then she shifted around to show them the two others, one from a convenience store and the other from a grocery store. The convenience store had seemed to be filled with nothing but junk food, with a few flavors of sodas and chips that Yuliya would know were limited to only the Blue Rose Tournament time of year. Conversely, her grocery bag seemed to be filled with nothing but vegetables and fruits. After showing off her food, the girl added, "fufufu, my shopping is far from over. We're going to the beach and then..." the girl paused for a moment, looking up to the sky. As excited as she had just been, it all seemed to vanish in an instant as she continued to space out and stare off. Then, after a few more seconds passed she looked back down to the pair. Bluntly, she stated, "I don't know how to get to the beach." Iris blinked at the girl, unsure of what to make of her, but said, "well, much as I'd like to be of assistance, I don't know the city very well myself. Oh, but Yuliya here is a local, so perhaps she could help."
  2. As the group had approached the minotaur encampment, the chief had seemed none too pleased with them being here. As the man spoke up, Ryia definitely felt the need to speak up but actually doing so and being first into the conversation had proved more difficult to her then she had first imagined. Truly, the difference in picturing a conversation in her head - not that that had even gone smoothly - and enacting it in reality were very different beasts. As such, both Lindow and Reinaan had stepped up to speak first, both offering their opinions on the demon gate as a whole. The girl was given a bit of pause as the leader seemed to brush off the notion of the demons being much of anything to worry about, though that seemed to only assure her more, nodding to Reinaan as the boy called back to her. Stepping over to the minotaur chief, the girl looked up at him saying, "well, yes, we're neither here to uh, gloat or fight you. If I were to pick a reason for coming here, then well, first, just to uh, let you know about the gate. In general." Which her teammates had taken care of already. "And well, secondly, to try and make peace. Between everyone." Thinking to explain herself further the girl added, "since it's very well, dangerous out here. And filled with ruins. So I just thought it'd be better for everyone, if everyone got along with each other again. Yeah."
  3. Lana had barely managed to hold her breath as she was tossed into the water below, sinking into the surprisingly lukewarm body of water. The girl tried to struggle her way up, though found her general lack in experience in swimming and current fatigue to be hampering her. To make matters worse, there was also the thing that threw her in the water propelling itself towards her at speeds that she didn't like. As Lana was a very straightforward girl the thought of matching weapons did cross the addled girl's mind, but her arms were already having a hard enough time moving as it were. So instead, the girl simply let go of her hand axe and decided to take the problem much more head on. As the sea creature moved towards her to stab at her, Lana put her hands up to block against the attack,. grabbing at the two outer ends of the trident. Pushing against it, the monster had opted to pull her in as well as claw at the girl. Twisting her body to avoid the sharp hand, her expression contorting into one of great strain, the girl then pulled forward on the trident to propel herself even more forward. Using this forward momentum, the girl butt her head against the fishy creature's. As they were underwater and Lana was far from proper ramming speeds, this did little more then stun the creature - likely more out of surprise then anything else - but it did end up bringing Lana closer. Close enough for her to notice the slits on the creature's neck. Lana wasn't an expert at, well, anything but she figured anything weird looking was a good enough starting point to attack. Letting go of the trident, the girl brought her hands over to the creature's neck, beginning to press her thumbs into the neck slits that it had. As she did, the sea goblin let go of its trident and started to move in a panicked frenzy flailing its arms about every which way. The momentum of it caused Lana to swing around to its back, where she proceeded to grab onto its neck even tighter than before. Being underwater she could barley make out what any of the noises actually were, but she felt the creature was going through something to similar to her at the moment. Her lungs were burning and her mouth kept trying to force itself open to get some air back into it, her vision as well starting to go a bit blurry as the water continued to flow into them. Yet still she persisted, trying to strangle the creature with her bare hands as it clawed at her hands. Thinking this was taking too long and she was certainly running out of time, Lana let go with one hand, before drawing out a knife to her side. Jamming the blade into the creature's neck lung, the panic seemed to only increase in the creature as it attempted to pry her off. Her own breath finally giving out, Lana's mouth opened as water started to flood into it. The girl began to feel a choking sensation go through her, yet despite gasping for breath or trying to cough neither seemed to work. Instead, her body started to go into its own frenzy, pulling the dagger through the sea goblin's neck, before pushing off the creature's back to launch herself upward. She didn't look down or back at the monster, bleeding out and desperately trying to reach out for Lana but losing the strength to as it sank, as she desparately tried to get to the surface. As her head broke through the water, she expelled the water in her mouth almost immediately, coughing and hacking up as much as she could. The girl flailed her arms at the surface, trying to stay a float all while gasping and coughing out more water that got into her, not making any headway and rapidly losing what little strength she had left.
  4. "G-gross." Lana couldn't help but say, no matter how labored it might've been, as she grabbed at the insect. The bug itself had a body that was definitely not befitting of any bug she had ever had to deal with, and she could as well feel the beating of its wings against her palm as she tried to claw away at it. Eventually, she felt her wrestling against the creature find success, with the stirge pulling itself off of her before buzzing around. Lana couldn't really make out expression on bugs that well, but she definitely felt some measure of rage behind it as it charge towards her. Gripping at her handaxe, the girl sluggishly swung the blade towards the creature, sinking the blade into its odd bug flesh. While her axe didn't manage to kill it, it did disable the creature, prompting her to lift her axe skyward. Then, with gravity doing most of the work, brought the blade down to finish it off. Letting out a deep sigh of relief, rid of her bloodsucking attackers, she was met with virtually no respite as one of the sea goblins had managed to make its way towards her. In her fatigued state, the girl had forgotten the emergence of another creature that had happened roughly two seconds ago. Being still on the ground, the girl had no amount of maneuverability to avoid it, nor did she have a fitting weapon to go toe to toe with it. So instead, she threw hers. Pulling her arm back, the girl went to throw the axe, only to feel her muscles practically scream at the exertion needed to actually do so with any force. And so, the weapon was weakly tossed towards the creature only for it to parry easily with its trident. After launching her failed attack, Lana fell back onto her hand, scrambling as quickly as she could from the monster. Going backward, she didn't really know what was there besides Chris, and while she didn't want to run into him she did think he was a much safer place to be then - Lana looked backward as she saw her roguish companion replaced by another of the fish goblins. Letting out an exhausted sigh, the girl simply muttered, "great." Looking at the first one, the one approaching her, Lana figured that being stuck between the two when she was as enfeebled as she was would be disastrous. So, she opted to take the fight to them instead. Stopping her backwards movement, the girl then lunged forward, tackling into the creature. Grappling onto it, taking it by surprise with her sudden charge, Lana reached back to pull out her second axe. Swinging the blade at the ankle of the creature, it let out a pained fishy gurgle before grabbing onto her back. Feeling it hoist her up, Lana lowered her grip to hold onto its not harmed leg. Swinging her axe again as the creature started to hoist her up, slashing against its leg, the monster flung her into the water.
  5. Fen's eyes followed Salvo as she bolted to the second floor, then able to hear the woman's call for breakfast from the floor below. Fen couldn't help but smile at the woman's enthusiasm and vigor, and was made more curious by her having to go to patrol the city. It wasn't as though as adventurers Fen had no experience with doing patrols, but they were hardly something routine here. That was usually reserved for actual guards, both private and police. So in that regard, Fen wondered if she should start to think of herself more as a member of the police here. As the girl mulled over what, once more, her proper title here should be, her attention was brought back by Natasha gesturing to the food. Regardless of how much it was that she wanted to respect the others and wait for them to come down, Fen knew it would be equally if not more so rude to deny eating and enjoying a chef's hot meal in front of them. As such, the girl got her own plate and sat down before digging into her meal. A smile lit up across her face as she mirrored Melissa's sentiment. "This is delicious." Pleased with her meal, Fen started to mutter to herself all the different things she noticed about the dish that the woman had prepared, eating between thoughts. Eventually her train of thought on the food was broken, though, as Melissa had brought up a very important matter. "Oh, that's a great idea. I hadn't thought about it much, but uh, I don't think we had any luggage come with us. So well, if you don't mind, I'd love to come along with you."
  6. Were it their goal to stay inconspicuous to the people they were watching, it would be very clear to Yuliya that such a thing was impossible with Iris. As the woman mentioned that one of the two was Cedric, the number one representative of the Theaceae Province, Iris leaned further away from the table as if to examine the man closer. Though it didn't help her any and in fact just made the others outdoor give her a sideways glance. And though Iris's efforts were futile in figuring more out about the two, her ears perked up as Yuliya mentioned something along the lines of a "forbidden meal." Looking over to her friend as she continued to talk about it, Iris slowly nodded her head. Naturally, she had been quite familiar with brunch, but what came after came as a shock to the girl. A meal between dinner and lunch? That was reserved simply for snacking, lest one ruin their appetite before the most important meal of the day. To think that there would be those that would willingly gorge themselves mid way through the day was not something that she could simply fathom. "Linner," Iris repeated as she too sat back in her chair, a solemn expression on her face as she came to terms with the mysterious life decisions of Cedric Carlyle and friend. "The people of Camellia certainly are an interesting bunch, Yuliya. Oh," the silver haired girl turned her attention over towards another pair of people, ones she as well recognized though had no name to match their faces. Two women, one seeming to flaunt bags of groceries and pastries, gifting one over to the other of them. As the two seemed to be discussing something, Iris turned her attention back to Yuliya saying, "what do you think it is they're doing? Do you think they too mean to partake in linner?"
  7. Fen looked over to the armored woman as she made her way over, seeming to need to say something to Fen. Though, she didn't really say anything. Fen blinked, a bit curious about what was to come next, only for the woman to then point to herself and then the food, and then to Fen herself. The girl cocked her head to the side, a bit confused at first, only to then be surprised as words popped up out from the woman's watch. Getting over her initial surprise at the message, she read it before having a smile cross her face. Looking up to the woman's face, the girl nodded her head. " would love that. The faster I can learn all of this the better, and," the girl looked over to the food before turning her head back to the woman, smiling and figuring that the woman was probably from a world not too dissimilar to her own. "You seem to have a really good handle on all of it already, so I'm looking forward to it." The girl then froze in place briefly as the familiar slowly spoken voice of the zombie girl, Morgan, had entered the room. Yesterday had proven that Morgan wasn't actually immediately threatening like most undead she had known of - though her methodology of repairing was still a bit unsettling - she still couldn't help but feel nervous around the girl. All the same, she relaxed herself a bit as the topic came to just giving out greetings to each other. Though, she couldn't help but look as Morgan already had gone to pick out her food and begin eating away. Though Fen found this to be a breach of her own manners, her mind wondered two things at this juncture. One, perhaps it was the normal etiquette from wherever Morgan was from, making the notion of "common sense" suddenly seem like a much more abstract and difficult to grapple with beast. Secondly, Morgan was a zombie. What did she need food - specifically bread - for? The girl figured it would be rude to ask, especially being presented with a question herself, so she simply silently stewed on the topic as Melissa gave her introduction and Trevor gave the explanation for the title that he bore. Looking to Morgan she followed with, "oh, sorry for not saying so yesterday, but I'm Fen. Fen Yi." The girl paused for a moment. Thinking back to Trevor's explanation, she considered herself the apprentice of her parents. Though, she would most certainly be lying if she were to bare their title and introduce herself as the owner and head chef of her parent's restaurant, so adding such a title felt wrong. And she had no idea who she would consider herself apprentice to in Cherry Heart either. So, being unable to properly sort her thoughts out, the girl simply decided that the most suitable fancy title to add was, "and I'm a uh, Chef Adventurer...uhh, yeah." After having stammered that out, the girl quickly cleared her throat, and looked to Salvo saying, "that would be appreciated yes, thank you."
  8. Kaoru, Chisato, Rinko special shotout to Saya
  9. 2021 Kama, Lancer Melt, Berserker Musashi 2022 Summer BB who goes on rate up again Castoria, Sei, Yang Guifei 2023 So we're like not even halfway through this year and I'm almost positive that Lostbelt 6 is going to have something I want. In fact, there's like only 5 new servants that are new that would be on rate up. That all being said. Muramasa, Caren and Space Ishtar because she goes on rerun Galatea Pretty rough deal but honestly if I could basically have any semblance of pity to get these ones over everyone else I'd probably take it.
  10. Ryia was glad that at the end of it all, the others were at least humoring her idea of going to try and make sure things between the Minotaurs and Humans reached the status quo it had before they had come here. Of course, there was still the nagging thought in the back of her head that she could just end up making things worse but that was neither a bridge she wanted to cross nor think about. However, these thoughts were for later as for now the group was all exhausted and had to go take their night time rest. When morning rolled around, Ryia realized that they now had to deal with the task of actually finding where the minotaur were located. Madelyn was less than happy to offer her services in this regard, but still ended up assisting them all the same. While the Earth Chosen was grateful for this, she couldn't help but be concerned by Damien's refusal to come along, wondering why that would be the case. Though this bothered her for a long while, this was replaced by a different feeling as they approached the settlement. She could feel her nerves starting to act up, only more so as the village was now in full view for them to see. The Earth Chosen noted that they were moving around and packing up, conducting themselves as normal for what one would expect from a village. Ryia looked towards the others as Madelyn asked her question. It was certainly a good idea to make sure all of their thoughts were in order before actually engaging with them in a dialogue. Especially if the ones from before were there as well. So, the girl took a deep breath and looked to the others, "our goals here are um...Well, we want to uh, know what their status with um, everyone else is. And make sure it's good, a good status. With the human settlements and stuff, that is. And I uh, guess tell them about the demon gate? Though they um, might know. Was there well, uh, anything else?" She looked to the other chosen.
  11. Leila looked at the woman with a blank look in her eyes, blinking a few times before letting out an, "eh?" The silver haired girl didn't quite understand what she was talking about eating her problems away, but then looked up to the sky thinking on the current state of the tournament. "Hmmmm..." The girl mulled on it, tapping her finger to her chin before looking back. "I'm getting food right now." The girl gestured her bag again, "that's pretty normal. Hmm, I saw Furiko getting swarmed by news people. That's also pretty normal." She thought back to everyone else who was at the tournament introduction ceremony, not thinking that there anything out of the ordinary with really any of them. They all had their different styles and there were definitely new faces here, but Leila didn't think anything that would constitute abnormal enough to mention. Though, there was someone who she figured was somewhere in the age range of sixty to one hundred. That didn't happen ever. And someone else was missing from the tournament as well. So, if she were pressed to answer, "is it always like this," then Leila would, and she had, responded to Zoe by saying, "hmmm, but it might not always be like this..." The girl's intense concentration was broken as the conversation came back to food again. Despite her generally dull expression and tone of voice, it was clear that there was an eagerness to it as she nodded along with the girls own eagerness at the deliciousness of the food. Examining it more closely she said, "oh, that looks like the Cherruberry Croissant. I think its strawberry jelly. But it also isn't. It's weird. But amazing." The girl nodded with a weirdly proud smile on her face before she said. "But there's other amazing places here." She waved her arms around with bags in hand, as if gesturing to the whole city. "There are also lots of good food places. Were you looking for more food places too?" Iris listened intently to the explanation that Yuliya had given. At the end of it, as the blue haired girl mentioned doing something else, Iris shook her head. "Oh no, I enjoy watching and listening to others. Why, there is always something interesting to be heard from the customers at my work place. There was this one time where - well, never mind that." The girl's attention was pulled over towards the two males that Yuliya had gestured over to. She couldn't see either of their faces, one being turned from them and simultaneously blocking the other's. As a result, it was hard to tell what was going on between them, but the girl noticed that one of them got much closer to the other. She furrowed her brow as she saw the male who had gotten closer take his phone out for a brief moment. As he put it back, Iris went back from quite obviously staring at them to a reclining position as she thought more on it. "They seem to be quite close. And maybe...he was checking the time. Oh, could it be." She looked to Yuliya, excitement clear on her face, "do you think they have some kind of reservation they are hurrying to?"
  12. Lana's frustration quickly turned to panic as the stirges began to converge on her. The girl continued to swing her greataxe haphazardly at the stirges, hoping to swat them away yet they didn't seem interested in the frontal assault approach. With five of them stabbing into her, Lana felt a light sting go through different parts of her body, stepping back a bit as she continued to swing her axe around in an attempt to get them off all while letting out loud grunts and cries. This was to little avail and she felt even more off balance and awkward as she suddenly felt like there was some kind of "swooshing" behind her. She really hoped it was Chris helping her, as the only other alternative was a sea goblin with really bad aim. Trying to keep herself from bowling over either, the girl managed to at least find something to focus forward on as she saw one stirge that seemed to be going straight for her face. Letting go of her axe with one hand, the girl drew out her axe and swatted at the stirge. Being batted away, the monstrous mosquito was briefly stunned which left Lana an opening to slash at the creature. The blade smashed and cleaved through the starving insect, killing it and leaving Lana breathing heavily. Part of it was the adrenaline she was feeling from how horrifying this experience was, but after striking the stirge she felt her breath was accelerating even further. Darting her eyes towards one that had latched onto her, the girl grit her teeth and began to beat the stirge with the back of her hand axe. As she did, the girl felt the shock of the attack go through her and noticed her legs were starting to wobble, finding it difficult to stand up. After striking it a few times though, the beast finally detached from her, allowing Lana to strike it with the blade and kill it in one fell swoop. As the girl was sprayed with her own blood, she felt herself lurching forward, as if the weight of her own swing pulling her. The girl blinked a few times, finding it harder to keep her eyes open with each blink. Her greataxe as well, felt like it was far heavier then it ever had been, and Lana felt her grip on it starting to slip. Forcing herself forward, the girl struck her great axe against the cavern floor giving her the chance to let go of it. She as well fell forward, putting both of her hands forward to stop herself from hitting the ground hard. Lana took a moment to catch her breath, feeling light headed and exhausted. Yet still, there was one stirge on her and she could definitely make out Chris's call for help. S, standing back up as quickly as she could, blinking as she saw spots in her vision and stumbling a bit, Lana used her free hand to reach and start desparately clawing at the last stirge on her.
  13. Getting into her room, Fen had noticed how remarkably small it was. Nothing more than walls and a simple bed for her to sleep on decorated it. The simple and somewhat spartan feeling to it had reminded her of her early days in Cherry Heart, where they had barely any space to spare for sleeping accommodations and barely a functioning roof at that. Though this was likely cleaner and more safe, Fen couldn't help but feel nostalgic for the former conditions as she went to lie down on her bed. As she did, she suddenly realized how tired it was that she had actually felt. Come to think of it, she hadn't been in any large scale fights for awhile now and the day itself was full of nothing but new and confusing things. As a result, it took until she started to close her eyes to realize how exhausting every experience today had been, and in no time flat the girl had fallen asleep. The next thing she was aware of, a sudden chiming noise had been droning on through her room. Letting out a groggy grunt, the girl looked at the device on her wrist, seeing that it had been the source of the chime. Fen still didn't have any idea how it worked and as a result didn't do much more then read the message, being notified that there was a guest at the door and that Trevor had gone to go see them in. Stretching her arms out, the young girl figured they were all notified for a reason and that it would be rude to keep a guest waiting. The guest in question as well made their presence very apparent, calling to all of them throughout and the building and so Fen got out of bed and opened her door. Making her way downstairs, the young chef saw that there were already a few people already downstairs as well. Trevor and Salvo she had already known about, but Melissa was there as well as some new woman. Fen tilted her head momentarily as she couldn't tell why, but the new girl definitely had something of a presence to her that others here had lacked. Perhaps it was the fact that she was the first proper looking knight she had seen since coming to this strange world. Well, it wasn't like it was a bad presence, so Fen didn't pay it anymore mind than that, simply smiling to the woman before giving a wave to everyone saying, "good morning everyone." Getting closer to them all the girl smiled again, saying, "thank you for bringing us breakfast too. I hadn't even thought about what to do for food so this is a huge help." Fen knew that the others weren't here yet and thus it was rude to start breakfast without them. Yet, in spite of the calm expression on her face, the girl seemed to be slowly inching towards the food trays.
  14. As one might expect, Yuliya was off to the races at Iris's prompt. Not as though Iris had minded, smiling along as her friend had described to her all that had happened since their last meeting. As it had turned out she had taken her loss in her own provincial qualifiers quite hard, though she could certainly understand wanting to learn more about the person who beat you. She found it similarly interesting as Yuliya did, however, at the mention of the man using a different deck then normal. Such a thing wasn't unheard of, but usually she could only see it being done as something of a showboat or to turn around a severe losing streak. She didn't have much more time to think on it, though, as the next of Yuliya's rivals were brought up. Iris recognized Chad Chaderson's name, it was hard not to, but she still knew little about the man himself. All that she had was a vague impression that he was generally unpleasant to be around and Yuliya's sentiment seemed to echo that feeling. The girl gave a small chuckle at the mention of their friendly rivalry, but before she was able to say anything they had arrived at their destination. Feeling some manner of excitement well up in her as Yuliya seemed excited to enter into the building, Iris followed in, passing another silver haired girl as she did so. At her friend's request the girl took a deep breath of the sweet bakery air around her, letting out a pleased sigh saying, "oh, heavenly. This place certainly seems to be delightful, Yuliya." At the aforementioned person's request again, Iris walked over and look at the menu. Her expression went from notably pleased to a much more scrunched up and pensive one. She didn't have much of an issue in figuring out what it was she wanted from the menu, that was quite easy. Instead her eyes seemed to be focused less on the items themselves and more on the numbers next to them. After Yuliya left her alone with Mitch, Iris started to bite at her thumb nail, trying to figure out what to order. After coming back from her order, Iris sat down with Yuliya with her food as the girl asked her about her order. "Oh nothing much. Just one black coffee and a chocolate croissant..." The girl then looked to the side as she hastily said, "and um, a butter pecan cookie." It was clear that Iris was ashamed of her over indulgence, but cleared her throat before answering. "Well, ahem, I myself have been just fine. I do not mean to boast, but I was quite pleased with my performance and victory on that day. Not to down play my opponent or anything but well, after that I simply went about my days as usual. Oh! But!" Iris's eyes lit up in excitement, "recently at my work, we started to sell something called a Churro there. I have never had them before but they are wonderfully sweet if not a bit messy. It is quite good that the tournament started when it did, though, otherwise I may have accidentally started to make a habit of eating them." Yuliya would know that Iris worked at the popular convenience store chain, One-Seven-One, yet always seemed to enjoy her talks about there. The girl then went to bite into her chocolate filled pastry, seeming delighted as she said, "oh, but it is just as well that I am only here temporarily as well, these are quite heavenly as advertised." The girl took another small bite, seeming equally as pleased. After a few more she asked, "now, I do not usually partake in this 'people watching' hobby, so what things in the city are you usually on the lookout for." Iris looked eager and excited to learn more about the hobby. As Zoe had made her way towards the nearby bakery a familiar silver haired girl, in far more spring appropriate attire, had just walked out. Two bags in hand and with a smile on her face, the girl seemed ready to get moving and continue whatever her plans were before she locked eyes with Zoe. Unnervingly, the girl stared at her with an almost vacant look in her eyes for nearly ten seconds. She finally blinked, though, a look of realization dawned on her as she gestured with one of her bags at the woman. Her tone seemed to lack any energy behind it, but yet she still seemed to smile and be enthused all the same. "You're in the tournament too. Hmmmmm......" The girl mulled on it for a few more seconds before saying, "Zoe!" Personally, Zoe did not know this girl, but as she was also a tournament participant she was quite easily recognized as one of the regulars at Blue Rose for the past few years. Leila Ludrani, the current first seed from the Orcha province and a Madolche user. Leila stepped closer, leaning her face in closer to the girl's before bluntly stating, "you look troubled. Were you here to get bread?" She looked over to the sign that read "Manna from Heaven Bakery" before looking back to Zoe. "It's got really good bread. Hm but.... More people just went in so there might be a line...lines aren't very good...hmmm..." The girl extended one bag towards her, filled with cup ramen and decidedly not from the bakery, before realizing her error and instead extending the bag from the bakery. "I have enough in here. Take one. Bread is good. Washes away troubles." In spite of Leila's comment about it being "bread" there must have been at least a dozen different pastries and baked goods in there, as well as several assorted rolls.
  15. Fen watched curiously as Melissa began to explain the process by which all of the tools in here worked. Melissa seemed to insist that it wasn't magic, which Fen wasn't quite sure how all of these devices operated otherwise but decided to respect the girl's assertion. As she talked about how poor she was at explaining these things as well, Fen looked at her wrist saying, "well, I still don't know how any of this works either so..." As the girl was going to ask for advice, she was interrupted by the sudden appearance of the zombie girl from earlier. She reflexively stiffened with her eyes darting and analyzing the girl as best she could before seeming to settle and focus on her. As it had turned out her efforts to distance herself from the zombie had instead lead her right into their undead company. Or rather, Morgan had ended up finding her way to Fen. The result was the same regardless, and Fen still couldn't help but feel on edge. As Morgan had opted into polite conversation with them, though, Fen had felt obligated to give a greeting wave to the girl but didn't add any words to follow that. She was curious, though, as Morgan seemed to operate the device known as the "toaster" with relative ease. Seeing this, Fen couldn't help but come to two conclusions. Either Morgan had been here long enough to already familiarize herself with the tools and already knew how they worked. Or, she was from a world where they were commonplace, which following Melissa's train of logic would mean that the walking dead was not in fact magic. That was something quite bone chilling to the ice mage. Regardless, she thought the contraptions this world had were quite convenient for the cooking process and she felt most fire mages were in a similar position to her in relation to the cold box. Nevertheless, she continued to watch as Melissa made her dish, her eyes seeming to try to look closely at both every part of the process and to notice if there was anything special that went into using the tools here. Once it was done, Fen smiled and looked back to Melissa as she said, "well, I always enjoy trying others cooking, so if you're offering." The girl picked up one of the pieces and went to bite into it. As she did, she let out a noise of approval, happily eating away it. The dish itself was simple, and Fen's brain did start racing as she was eating in trying to figure out what sauces and seasonings to use as well as even different kinds of eggs. Yet still, just because the girl's dish was simple didn't mean it couldn't taste good - which it did. Smiling at Melissa she simply said, "that was great Melissa. And thank you for showing me how all of the tools worked." While Fen did have critique for Melissa, she wasn't exactly sure that she was looking for any at the moment, so she kept those comments to herself. It wasn't like she was lying, either. Fen then became pensive for a bit before saying, "I wish I could make something for you too, but I'm afraid I might just undercook or burn anything I try right now. So maybe once I get the hang of these things, I'll be sure to give something to all of you." She nodded to herself on this, giving a side eye to the zombie girl briefly wondering if she could actually eat and taste things but opted not to think any more deeply on that. "Well, I still haven't picked out my room yet, so I'll be doing that now. See you both later." Fen gave a short bow before making her way out and going upstairs, before picking out the door in the corner that beckoned to her.
  16. Lana's victory over her foe was somewhat short lived as suddenly bugs had descended from the ceiling. Huge ones. Eight of them. All with huge stabbing bug mouths and fast beating wings. Lana frowned in disgust as she saw them and simply muttered, "ew, gross." This sense of revulsion was only enhanced as she realized suddenly that it was she that they were going straight towards her. Taking a single step back, before realizing there was still a brawl behind her, Lana rotated the blade of her axe before going to swing the flat of the blade at the bugs like some kind of oversized fly swatter. Swinging it as such certainly made the already heavy and slow weapon all the more awkward, but she had managed to keep a large collection of them at bay. One had slipped under her reckless swinging, though, diving straight at her wound. Sticking its proboscis into her wound, the girl wretched as the bug started to suck her blood out. Taking one hand off of her great axe, with great ferocity the girl almost immediately went to start punching at the gigantic bug, shouting, "get off of me, get off, get off!" The bug eventually listened, being forced off of her and buzzing away in a slight daze. Now furious, the girl rotated her blade again before going into a swing to cleave straight through the disgusting mosquito. After killing it, the girl continued to swing in a wild frenzy, clipping one of the bugs as well, before hearing Chris's comment. "Yes there was something on the ceiling, get them away from me!"
  17. As the woman wondered it seemed her questions had been answered as something to do had managed to run its way right over to her. Hearing a familiar voice call out to her, Iris turned to see who it belonged to, smiling as she saw the blue haired duelist make her way over to her. As always Yuliya was a bundle of energy, excitedly getting right into their mid-day plans. Iris couldn't help but give a small giggle as the girl commented on her umbrella, giving it a little spin with a proud look on her face. Her parasol had been both fashionable in how well it matched her outfit and general public look, it was durable and robust, and most importantly she had gotten it for a bargain price too! After her little flourish, the woman smiled saying, "well, I can hardly wait to see what place you have in mind. And I am famished so I would love to catch up over something to eat." As the hotel had been serving breakfast and the tournament had been covering for some of their food expenses, Iris had made sure to have a hearty meal in the morning. And then, when she had thought to take a stroll through the city well before the ceremony had started, she had experienced difficulties in doing so. Getting distracted, being stopped by others and just plain getting lost. Really it had been a small miracle that the woman had even managed to get to the arena on time. Letting out a sigh as she recalled her struggles, one of which her stomach audibly punctuated, Iris then went to clear her throat. "But yes, I am looking forward to what your city has to offer, Yuliya. I have always been fond of cities like these but seldom have time to actually travel and take in the sights of one. It is even worse that I am far out of my element in them and well..." The woman cleared her throat a second time, not exactly wanting to relive what trials and tribulations she had gone through in the past trying to navigate unfamiliar cities. All the same, Iris followed after Yuliya entrusting the girl with their destination before killing the time by asking, "It has been quite some time since our last meeting so, how have things been for you, Yuliya?"
  18. Lana continued to stay put where she was as the sea goblins slowly made their way towards her. She couldn't really back up because she could hear the terrible fishy noises coming from behind her and obviously there was one with a pointy trident barring her from going forward. So she only hoped that her cry for help was well received and decided to move forward in her own strike. The amphibious creature brought up its trident to spear at her, to which Lana brought up her own axe. Swinging down at the weapon, she managed to clash her blade against the spear weapon, pushing down on it and parrying it downward though only by virtue of the weight of her weapon. As the trident didn't fully hit the ground, she started to feel her own blade be pushed up. Lana grimaced, even more so as she heard a very unsettling scream of pain behind her, as the creature continued to struggle with its weapon against her own. Her foe then attempted to use the prongs of its weapon to hook around her greataxe, starting to pull back with it. Digging her feet into the ground as best as she could, Lana grinded her teeth in turn as she started to pull back herself, revealing to her that both her and the creature were evenly matched in strength as they were caught in a deadlock. After a few second of this tug of war Lana was struck by inspiration, noted by the sudden flash of light that appeared in the room. Pushing down with her axe, such that her weapon and the trident formed a straight line, Lana stepped forward and thrust her axe forward. Being caught off guard by the sudden change in direction of force, the sea goblin unhooked its weapon from hers as it stumbled backward. Walking forward to follow up now that she had the initiative, the girl stumbled as she suddenly felt a sharp searing pain go through her back. Gritting her teeth as she felt the burning sensation, it had seemed that her foe wasn't spared as well as a bolt of light had hit it as well, causing a similar reaction. Now close enough, though without much in way of preparation as a result, Lana swung her axe's shaft into the face of the creature. Being dazed yet again, the creature stumbled back once more, giving Lana the time to step back and hoist her axe into the air. Shaking its head, recovering, the sea creature went to stab at Lana, prompting the girl to twist her body. The trident grazed her side as a result, but Lana's foe was about to be far worse off than her. Bringing her blade down from an angle, the girl smashed the axed into the skull of the monster, causing a sickening crush and gross noise to come from it before the sea goblin's posture crumpled and it fell down to the ground dead.
  19. Ryia had stood back a little awkwardly as Keres had asserted that she would take care of loading up the cart herself, trying her best to respect the Water Chosen's wishes but also thinking there was too much for her to do by herself. As the girl struggled with one of their many crossbows, admitting to still needing help, Ryia moved alongside Lindow to aid in her loading difficulties. As the group had loaded the cart entirely, Ryia didn't quite get why Lindow had suddenly declared that he was starving, but it had certainly been a long time since their last proper meal so she could certainly understand the want. The girl frowned a little as he seemed to indicate that they should discuss their next move over it, but knew that it had to come up eventually. Following the others, they ended up at a decidedly less fishy restaurant which the girls nose was much more thankful this time around. As they sat down, though, the girl couldn't help but feel sorry for the staff as they seemed incredibly off put by Reinaan's choice of, or lack there of, garb. Giving an apologetic smile to them, she figured she'd tell the draken later about it, but there were more important matters to discuss. As Reinaan brought back up the subject of where to go next, the girl didn't think she could provide any insight on the first part. After all, she was from Haven and there wasn't a demon gate there. Not that leaving was what she wanted to do anyway. So, instead of letting the conversation get too far to that point Ryia took the initiative to bring up her point. "Well, um, I think that we should stay here. And resolve the matter with the um, the minotaurs." After letting her point sit there for a moment the girl nervously continued saying, "since well, it makes this whole place safer if they can uh, work their differences out, and uh...Even if this isn't demons, it was still caused by the Demon Gate. So I think it's well, still our problem to deal with." The girl also had a feeling after their interactions with the Minotaurs previously, that leaving now after having destroyed the gate would only get things to worsen. Of course there was no guarantee they themselves wouldn't make this worse, but she felt the need to at least solve what was in front of her as best she could. And so, she looked to the others waiting for their responses.
  20. Right so, I didn't notice this was here until recently but yeah. One thing I should probably clarify here is that the Blue Rose Tournament isn't some tournament, it's like the biggest one of the year in Persica. So she wouldn't have been able to enter this tournament and no other one throughout the year, and would've had to play and win to qualify. Including the qualifier tournament. Other than that you're alright. Also PM me how to contact you on discord because we have a discord. Also eyo RP started ey.
  21. OOC May 1st, Sunday, 3:13 PM Though the forecast was showing it would be a dark and stormy night, the skies seemed to only be overcast at the present mid-day time. And yet in spite of these bleak looking skies it did little to abate the activities and excitement of the people of Camellia. Though the big city didn't know much in way of rest today was especially abuzz with activity as the people had all filed into the new - several year old - Aspect Stadium, the main hub for all things Blue Rose would be broadcast. The reason was simple. Today was a day for introductions, for promotion and for showcasing. Each and every duelist partaking in the Blue Rose tournament had been called to the new - though in reality five year old - Aspect Stadium; the building where all duels for Blue Rose would be held. All thirty two of them were to listen to the announcer for the event tell them all that was expected for the tournament. The rules, code of conduct, the long and storied tradition and history of the both the tournament and the sport. And finally for the viewers at home a short introduction of each of the players, simply stating all of their names, decks and what province they were representing. When all was said and done, the group was dismissed from the tournament hall and free to go about their business. Upon exiting the stadium proper, they would see a crowd of people who had all been waiting for them, some fans of the sport and some reporters and journalists looking to interview the duelists. Naturally some of the participants were more popular than others, last year's third place being swarmed the moment that she had left the building, and they would deal with their fans and crowds in their own way. The group of tournament participants would be able to spend the rest of their free time however they wished for the day, knowing full well that tomorrow was the start of the games proper. Iris, for her part, didn't particularly feel in the mood to do any press for herself as well. Smiling and waving to all the people who had called out to her, Iris merely continued her way forward and managed to get past all of them. Looking up to the sky the girl frowned, thinking that the gray skies wasn't the best of omens for the coming tournament. Not to mention it was neither sunny nor raining, making her ever present parasol nothing more than a fashionable accessory. Sighing to herself, the girl continued to walk into the unfamiliar city proper, thinking that surely there was something to pass the time with.
  22. Fen was continuing to marvel at the kitchen she found herself in, noting how it wasn't all that different from hers back home yet still looked completely so. All of the cooking implements and utensils looked far more polished and refined as well, and this wasn't even to mention the strange amount of magical contraptions that were in this room. As she continued to look around the area someone else - Melissa - had entered in. The girl in question seemed to be far less confused about where she was then Fen had been. If anything, she seemed right at home, moving towards the large metal storage box/closet against the wall and pulling food out of it. Fen walked over as the girl was doing so, feeling a sudden chilled air coming from the box. The girl had a surprised look on her face - getting out of Melissa's way as she went to prepare her own meal - understanding exactly what this device was meant for. It was all too easy for food to spoil if left out at room temperature for an extended period of time, so Fen had always put her magic to use in keeping things chilled and frozen to preserve them. And here it was, a device to mimic just that process. Fen was met with a strange mix of emotions, unable to deny the absolute convenience of a magical contraption like this, but also feeling like she had lost to it at the same time. After giving the box an frown, she turned her attention back to Melissa who still seemed quite comfortable in this strange kitchen. "Ah, well, yeah, I do a uh, a lot of cooking. See, my family owns a restaurant and I worked there for awhile before I became an adventurer. Well, it didn't really feel like work, since I really enjoyed it a bunch and I guess it was helpful for what I needed when I joined Cherry Heart - " the girl paused herself. "Er, sorry about that, I was rambling. But yeah, I cooked for my guildmates a lot. I wanted to see if I could make something with those sharks from earlier, but they all vanished." The young chef seemed to have genuine disappointment in both her tone and expression as she stated this. Being thanked - again - for her actions in saving the girl from a brutal fall, Fen simply smiled and said, "oh, don't worry about it. It was no trouble. I'm just glad you were left unharmed by all of it, really." Fen was, in fact, a bit worried by the situation. But less so because of Melissa and what had happened to her and more how it had happened. She was no stranger to her fair share of reckless and careless companions, and perhaps being with them for so long had spoiled her in a way, but she never would think that one of the more physically able ones would carelessly toss the less so. Of course, Fen didn't know the full situation, it at the very least got Melissa not immolated when the dragon girl went to go fist fight with the elemental, but she knew what her eyes had seen and there were definitely better ways to go about it. She didn't speak of any of this, though, thinking only time would tell all while keeping her ever grateful smile on her face. Shifting gears, the girl instead asked, "so, um, while I do know my way around a kitchen this one is a bit...unfamiliar to me. I don't think I've ever seen any of these different magical devices before, but well, you seem quite familiar with them. Is where you come from uh, like this?"
