  1. The kind where I answer this question.
  2. Lana kept her eyes on the two dark mantle that she had been engaged with, pleasantly surprised to see one of them be pelted by a dagger and killed. Her joy that there was one less of these creatures to deal with was almost immediately replaced with a sense of dread as she heard more scurrying about on the ceiling. The girl looked up briefly, looking at the trio of monsters that had just appeared out from the darkness with a grossed out expression on her face. However, her attention quickly snapped back downwards as the dark mantle that she had originally attacked went to attack her. Quickly grabbing her axe with both hands yet again, the girl swung the heavy weapon to the side, intercepting the dark mantle in the air. With a combination of force from the swing itself as well as the blade cutting into the creature, she had managed to fell it as it was launched away from her and to the ground. Looking back up to see the three descending, Lana didn't think she had enough time to get her axe ready to swing again and she certainly didn't have the time to do it twice. So, instead, the girl pulled out one of her hand axes and hastily tossed it at one of the dark mantles. Her aim was poor but effective enough, the axe more or less bouncing off of the diving creature and changing the course of its fall to be away from both her and Chris. With two still left in the air, one going after either of them, Lana panicked as she started to walk backwards, dragging her axe across the ground in the process. Flailing her free arm at the air to knock the dark mantle away, knowing she didn't have any time to attack again, the girl shouted to the roguish boy, "it's here, it's down, kill it!"
  3. Fate/Grand Order is easily the top of the food chain for me, no question. Bandori second i don’t play it on mobile but Genshin 3rd Honkai Heroes I think the only others that I’ve played are Azur, Arknights, Love Live (original and all stars,) and Girls Frontline of them the only ones I liked were the original love live and Girls Frontline but I haven’t played them in some 2 or 3 years so I can’t offer much on that.
  4. Clara watched the duel as silently as she had all the others, not bothering to comment as David made his own about how stuck Terry seemed to be. She didn't say anything either when Peter had left, though she did cast a slightly annoyed glance at the door as he made his way out. All the same, the duel continued to play out and in the end, Terry seemed to clear her opponent's board and get ready for her final strike. As she did, Peter came back just in time asking how things were going. "Look," Clara nodded towards the duel, seeing that it had come to its close as Terry's attacks had managed to go through. With the duel having concluded, Clara nodded at Hana saying, "yep. She won. Which means." The coach of Ocean's Coast sighed saying, "I suppose so. Well, with a score of three to one, Horizon Academy wins this practice duel. Everyone, line up." For once, Clara's ever present neutral expression broke into a smirk as she seemed to be quite pleased with the result, saying, "alright everyone you heard the man line up and shake hands!" With that, everyone got up and walked over to their opposing opponents, each of them offering to shake hands again. Leila walked up to Makoto. "Your monsters were super big and awesome. Playing with you was fun Makoto. It's too bad we don't live closer to each other." Leila seemed to mull on this problem. Laurie walked up to to Peter. "You're schools got a few uh, lively ones for sure. I'd say I don't envy you but," the girl looked over to some of her own classmates before saying, "well, hang in there. Oh," her expression brightened as she said, "and can't wait to see you in the fall tournament." Luan walked over to Hana. "We didn't duel, but it's no fun to be the odd ones left out right? You're quite an interesting gal though, so it was a pleasure meeting you Hana." Once all those conversations were taken care of, Clara clapped her hands together to call everyone back. Nodding over to Sarah, who had been silently filming the duel this entire, the girl then started to pack up her own things and get ready to leave. Clara looked over to the others saying, "well, we won today. So good job kids. But!" Her smirk went back to her usually aggressive expression as she said, "don't be content with what you showed off today. You've all got a lot to work on and some of you I'd say lucked out more than others. Even you Hana. So, I'll be sure to go over what each of you did and where to improve tomorrow. Or tonight if you want to stay after school." The woman then paused, waiting for her comments to sick in before clearing her throat. "But for now, as part of Horizon tradition, let's go get something to eat."
  5. As she approached Trevor, it seemed that the fish man - Aduain - was keen on leaving the park as well. With the others still seeming to sort the conflict out between themselves, Fen had felt it good to move on now with at least half of them feeling the same. And so, after noting on what Trevor had done - using a few terms she was unfamiliar with and leaving her slightly confused as to what he was talking to the boy about in the first place - the fish man had gone ahead. Though he was walking backwards, that did little to help Fen see him once he crossed the threshold, vanishing entirely from sight. Looking to the book mage, Fen shrugged and said, "here goes nothing?" Taking a deep breath, the girl stepped forward and crossed the threshold. The girl's eyes were briefly overloaded as she walked outside of what was now clearly some kind of bubble. The various multi colored lights that she could see through the park seemed to be all the brighter, as if they were all suddenly flaring to life, dazzled her. This was made no better by the sudden burst of sound that accompanied it as well coming from the hustle and bustle of the people milling about, the vehicle that seemed to be flying around along with other miscellaneous things the girl couldn't place. The whole thing was quite overwhelming and the girl couldn't help but stepping a bit back towards the bubble they had just come from, not entirely equipped to deal with all of this at once. Fen continued to look, though, now trying to process all of the people here. In spite of their strange fashion from her own and Trevor's as well as the fact that they likely just appeared out of nowhere, the people didn't seem to be all that bothered by their presence. Looking to the sky, the girl as well as saw something that baffled her; something akin to a wheel-less carriage or maybe closer to a more compact yet still wheel-less train car. And there seemed to be a whole lot of them at that. The girl scratched her head, only more confused by all the sights muttering, "getting answers would be very nice." Seeing Aduain rush off and seeing a light follow, the girl figured that was as good as any a direction to chase after. Keeping pace behind the fish boy, her eyes brightened as she saw that Melissa and presumably Devin were standing around not too far from them. Giving a wave to them, she shouted, "hey guys!" Though, quickly made her way more over as she saw Aduain's own charge of sorts end in a crash of some variety. Looking to the three of them she said, "are you uh, are you guys alright?"
  6. Ryia gulped as they continued to make their way through the cave, feeling a strange sensation pass through her. The air around her seemed to have much more of a weight to it then before as well something akin to all of her hairs standing on theirs ends. It was a foreboding sensation, one that made her nervous but at the same time steeled her resolve to keep pressing forward. As they made their way to the end of the tunnel, the group was greeted with the unmistakable site and presence of the object they had been searching for. As she felt the omnipresent sense of dread grow only stronger now that their objective was in plain view. The girl's eyes focused in on it as she felt the undeniable urge to destroy it, as she had the last time they had encountered such a malevolent device. Focusing out, it became apparent that there was also something very clearly off with the room they were in. Not with the room itself, no. More what was inside the room. That being a giant two headed lion, letting loose an echoing roar within the cavern as it seemed to notice them. Ryia blinked at the strange sight before her, wondering just what it was they were looking at but deciding "magic" was a good descriptor to end it on. As the girl was able to shake off the shock of seeing such a magical and terrifying creature in front of her, she knew that they couldn't all just stand here and wait for the creature to come to them. Placing her hand on Reinaan, magic coursing through it, the boy would feel his scales harden as she cast her defensive spell on him. Then, with that out of the way, the girl looked to everyone saying, "I'll um, draw its attention." Taking a deep breath, the girl simply called for her spirits aid, the spirit of Earth merging with its chosen. Then, with all of her preparations done and her resolve steeled, the girl charged forward, sword and shield drawn. As she did, the lion roared back to her, charging at her as well in an upward arc. The girl realized very quickly how foolhardy this charge really was, seeing the massive body of the beast barreling towards her, and stopped to back up a bit before getting bowled over. As it got close enough, the girl dove to the side, managing to avoid turning into part of the caves decorum. Letting out a sigh of relief, she looked up to see that the blue head of the lion was looking straight at her, scrambling to her feet expecting it to bite down on her. Instead, though, the head took a deep breath, before exhaling at her. Letting loose a breath attack of streaming cold, Ryia panicked seeing the magical attack and smashed her hand into the ground, causing the earth wall to shoot up and block the attack. Frazzled by the creature's sudden attack, Ryia simply shouted out, "i-it's magic!"
  7. As Lana found purchase in the strange creature that was floating down towards her, she managed to back up a bit and take a deep breath as it seemed to no longer be falling towards. That was one of five immediate terrors taken care of though it was still alive and having a cut skin parasol did little to actually make the creature any less disturbing to look at. And there was hardly any a reprieve from the disturbing creatures as another one of them had seen fit to fall down on her. Looking at the sharp fangs in the center of the creature's disturbing canopy the girl had a brief shiver course through her as she hefted her axe up from its resting position from the last attack. There wasn't as much time now as there was the first time she had done this, which meant her swing had to be faster. Unreasonably so, at that, so she needed to create more distance first - any bit really. Hefting her axe up, the girl took two steps back causing the dark mantle to veer towards her and slow down, if only ever so slightly. As she took her second back step, the girl lifted her foot off the ground and set herself off balance as she hastily swung her axe upward and cleaved into the skin of the dark mantle again. As the creature's ability to float was severely hampered and it swerved a bit, Lana grit her teeth as she could feel her axe beginning to go over her head and bring her further backward. Grunting and clearly straining the girl eventually managed to shift the direction of the axe and stop forward bringing the axe in front of her again. As she did, the blade struck into the dark mantle, piercing the creature's tough skin. Rather than cleaving it in two, however, it was more akin to her swinging a large club at the creature and launching it away from her, spiking it into the ground. The creature wasn't dead yet, though it was certainly looking worse for the wear. Pumped up by her success, Lana tried to fix her balance before shouting, "take that you dastardly treasure trap!"
  8. Ryia was relieved to be done with the whole ordeal against the slimy menace. The girl bent down and picked her shield off the ground, shaking the water and residual slime off of it before examining it. The girl sighed at all the abuse that her shield had taken once again, knowing that this journey on the island wasn't close to over but already acknowledging it was going to need a full on repair by the end again. Looking towards her Draken ally, Ryia nodded saying, "um, thanks for the assitance. Reinaan. I uh, well, I probably couldn't have beaten it on my own. Yeah." Though she was thanking the Fire Chosen, the girl also sounded like she was slightly admonishing herself, being unable to contend with just one enemy when they had been outnumbered at least 2:1. All the same, the girl was getting ready to move on and see what else was further down this tunnel. The whole thing was incredibly strange to her. She wondered what could have made a cavern like this to begin with and why it was under the ruins. Specifically as well if the people here had built this old village on them or if they had dug it out themselves. And in either case, why? And for what reason did they cover it up? If covering it up was that stone structure's only purpose to begin with - "Oh. Because slimes are sticky." The girl stopped in her tracks, stifling a laugh that came out more sounding like a half sneeze. Without saying anything more, but with a small smile on her face, Ryia continued to make her way forward. After a bit of walking they had reached yet another crossroads. Looking back, it seemed that the two paths originally had converged onto this point, leaving only one path ahead of them to take. As Damien made his comment, Ryia nodded with a small, "mhm," ready to see if there were any answers to be found down it.
  9. With the group having gone to the dungeon, Lana briefly marveled at the experience of getting to where they were. Teleporting was, once again, a very unfamiliar feeling to her and it took her a few moments to readjust her senses once they got back to the floor they had left off on. Looking around, the girl saw the stairs behind her, briefly making her way over to them only to see that they were more for show then anything else. As she made her way back to the rest of the group, it looked like they were in a room unlike the others so far. For one, it seemed a lot darker then the others. And for another, there was already treasure here! Lana was eager to see what was up with those, though Chris had made the first move towards them. After he inspected them, Lana was already making her way towards them to see if she could open them but paused as the boy seemed to think that there was something up with the whole situation. Sure, as she thought about it was pretty suspicious that the treasure chests would just be lying around after they had to fight through five rooms of enemies to get their first pay day from here. But maybe it was just a welcoming gift from the dungeon? She wasn't entirely sure, but she was sure that Chris was right in that she'd regret not knowing what it was later. As Estellise wanted to gain more information first, though, Lana stopped herself from going straight ahead and instead stood around, clearly antsy and eyeing up the treasure chests. Slowly inching herself closer, only to step a little back as she realized she moving towards it. Eventually, though, the girl's attention was drawn by the sudden sound of things falling. Looking around, the girl's eyes snapped to the ceiling first seeing that it was in fact just a rocky ceiling. Next, her eyes went down, seeing the bizarre squid hat-looking monsters looking towards them. Instantly recoiling in disgust, Lana shouted, "eww, what the heck are - " however as they seemed to start moving the girl cut her own comment off and drew out her axe with a small yelp. Standing between the spell caster and the monster, Lana raised her axe ready to bring it down on the first thing that got close enough to her.
  10. Fen was startled once again as the booming voice came out from ahead of them. Surprised to see that it came from what was once the garbled mess of a coherent shape - though mostly because she had pinned them as a more soft spoken type - the girl then registered the contents of the message. The other girl that had been with them had seemed to vanish. She didn't see hide nor hair of her next to the shape shifting person that had called out, and it seemed that they hadn't either. Concerned about what was going on, the girl looked towards the two combatants, still seeing that there still seemed to be a bit of tension in the air. She didn't really want to leave these two alone as she wasn't sure that they wouldn't kill each other if left to their own devices and she could tell that she wasn't entirely alone in this opinion either. As such it became a matter of the group divvying up and deciding who would watch after them and who would go help the shapeshifter, but of course that didn't seem particularly ideal either. As the girl was mulling on this, another voice appeared near them. One telling them to move along and head towards the answers they sought. The girl blinked a few times, as she looked at the source of this voice. He hadn't been there moments ago, but now here he was. She hadn't sensed anything like a sudden influx of magic in the area nor were their any tell tale signs that he had teleported in. And there wasn't a rush of wind so it wasn't like he moved in at super speeds either. He was just suddenly there. The girl was befuddled by this, wondering how he could've possibly just appeared without her noticing a single hint of it. Still, this confusion could only last for so long as his words seemed to spur Trevor to action. Nodding alongside him, Fen said, "right yes, answers. I'd like to know where we are and all," as she had learned everyone would as well." And Melissa- " the girl looked back to see the other one had vanished as well, "er, both of them are gone. And we need to find them, right? So uh..." The girl began to shuffle away towards the exit, before looking back to the mystery man. Giving a small bow she said, "thank you for your assistance, and all." With that, she began to walk out of the park.
  11. Divine Gate, without a doubt. I'm kidding. In fact you reminding me that that shlock was in 2016 has brought the whole year down for me and god damn was it bad. Anyway, the two big ones that I think of are Haikyuu S3 because it had one of my favorite scenes in my favorite manga/anime and Love Live Sunshine because boy did it blow its predecessor out of the park. There was a lot of good to pick from though. I feel like I've been asked this before and as always i will say Grass Dragon. I don't think one exists still, and I really want one. EDIT: I've been informed there is a grass dragon. So I'll change to bug. Because it's all by its lonesome without dragon.
  12. With the Draken's help, Ryia felt the arm that was attached to her suddenly go slack as the second core of the creature was destroyed. Bringing her sword up, the Earth Chosen cleaved off the remaining slime attached to her, only for it to naturally go back to its source. As Reinaan had begun striking at it wildly, it was clear that the creature had at least one more core to its form, though it certainly didn't seem to be that much different from the other slimes at this point. As it started to make its way towards Reinaan, it seemed that the Draken didn't have much of an idea where the core was and so the girl - now unhindered by its attacks - looked towards the slime. Seeing a similar dark green area in its center, the girl took a deep breath as she readied her blade. From all of her previous efforts, she knew she couldn't just bring her sword straight down onto the core from where she was - not only was it too dense to cut through all at once, her sword also just wasn't that long. So instead, getting her grip with two hands, the girl began to slash forward at the top of the slime. Lopping off a chunk of the slime, it still seemed that her blade wouldn't be able to reach it. And so she continued to slash more and more repeatedly. Taking off more of the slime, it seemed to stop paying attention to Reinaan and instead inched its way towards Ryia aiming to swallow her. Though she tried to continuously step away she realized that the slime attacking her was not the biggest of her issues. As she continued to slice against the slime's body, she started to feel a greater resistance from the creature, as it seemed to now be trying to envelope and crush her sword rather than her. Thinking she wouldn't be able to make it to the creature's core herself, Ryia shouted to the Draken, "Reinaan, there's another core. In the center."
  13. Lana smiled and waved towards Estelliese as she came in, frowning a bit as both she and Chris mentioned Sergei. Sure the man was kind of intimidating to be around, but he was still part of their first expedition into the dungeon. That made them something of companions? Or at least associates. And having one less associate to go into the dungeon with certainly didn't feel as good. Oh well, sometimes these things just couldn't be helped. Her train of thought was then turned away as Chris presented to them a foreign looking heart thing. The girl was a bit skeeved out that a monster like that could be just running around the streets, though calmed a bit when Estelle had pointed out that it was most likely summoning magic. After thinking on it for a bit more, though, if it was some kind of summon then that meant it could show up anywhere which was even more disgusting to think about. Once the noblewoman finished her explanation Lana, naturally, didn't have any more of a clue of what to make of the situation - though strange monster aside she also felt a familiar sense of foreboding about the strange girl that seemed to haunt him this morning. As he made his question to Lana she thought about it saying, "uh, it's probably fine? It's not my house or anything but the guy who works there is nice and if you do some work for him it should be fine. But..." The girl paused, remembering her own harrowing experience this morning, though shaking her head and saying, "yeah, it's probably fine." Once that was all taken care of and the group had eaten their fill, Lana smiled saying, "well, I'm ready to leave this weird morning behind and instead go into the dungeon now. Sergei doesn't seem to be showing up and I've heard it's best not to put these kinds of things off - " a thing she had heard mostly in regards to chores, "so, ready?"
  14. Tsubasa continued to give the stink eye to the dog man, until the teacher had spoken up again, informing them of the challenge coming up at the end of the week. Tsubasa frowned at the info of who her teacher was - or rather who it wasn't. She had been looking forward to going against Ruby, thinking that it was the perfect time to both perfect and showcase her ability at dodging the heroes various stones. But instead, she was put up against her JET teacher, one of which she had no idea what to expect from. She was a panda and all she knew about them was that they ate lots of bamboo and were a bear. So she was probably strong? Tsubasa came to the realization she didn't know much about bears in general, nor how they fought. Or how one would fight a bear. Especially with their bare hands. The more she thought on it, the more Tsubasa was convincing herself that she wanted to fist - or kick - fight a bear. But she had no idea where to find them. So this teacher was a great stand in for that. Maybe she could also learn more about bears at the same time too. Besides she didn't get either the science or literature teacher, both of which she was getting bide vibes about fighting on an instinctual level. So, she was now quite pleased with her chosen opponent. In the time it took her to get to this conclusion, she noticed that dog man was replaced with someone else. As he introduced himself, the girl looked at the desks next to her, seeing that she was already next to her team members. Convenient. The cat girl looked towards Ben saying, "a team huh?" Smirking, Tsubasa then looked back to the chameleon girl saying, "well, then alternate winning or otherwise, you have nothing to work about Iroko. After all, you've got three people with you, and most importantly I'm here with you. So, as long as those things are true, we're definitely a sure win." Smiling more excitedly she said, "and besides, haven't you always wanted to fight a bear?"
  15. As Ryia was facing off against the opponent in front of her, she suddenly heard a noise come from behind her. A sound of water rushing, followed by a sort of impact. Looking back, the girl saw that the slime that Keres had been facing had a sort of cracked core in it. Looking forward at the opponent moving towards her, she noticed that the head of the creature seemed to be a lot darker then the rest of it, and so she decided to put a theory to the test. As it lurched and lunged towards her, the girl slammed her foot into the ground causing a wall of earth to erect underneath the creature and send it to the ceiling. A crunching could be heard as it seemed part of the creature was destroyed as the remaining part of its body slid off the wall and back into the water below. Slowly picking itself back up, the head didn't seem to reform this time, though the body still seemed to be moving. Looking more closely at it, the girl noticed that there was another darker mass, this time located at waist height. The girl grimaced as she saw this, attempting to figure out how to cut deep enough into the creature when it started to lurch towards her yet again. The girl gripped her blade in both hands once again, stepping forward and to the side as the creature reached out to her. With a slash, she managed to cleave off one of the arms, only for the other one to grip at her right arm. The girl grunted, feeling the heavy slam through her off balance and start to pull at her. Planting her feet firmly, the girl pulled back, face twinging in pain as her arm was being pulled by an equally powerful force. She had stalemated it before, but she knew this was a losing battle once again, and so she looked over to her Draken ally saying, "there's - there's a second core in it." The girl nodded over to the darker green area.
  16. Fen was entirely caught off guard as Masaru answered her question. She, firstly, didn't know of many summoners to begin with so his magic was certainly an interesting one. But more than that, she was sure she heard him say "Cherry Heart." That was a name she was very familiar with and could only be referring to one thing. But Fen thought back to all of her travels and other guildmates and not once had she met a "Masaru," especially one who had such a rare magic. Add to that, he kept saying he was from some place called "Magnolia." Cherry Heart was based in Arbolia, which while it sounded a little similar was still very clearly different. There was a chance he was just saying it wrong, but she doubted someone would get the name of their home base that consistently wrong and also wrong in a very strange way. She briefly wondered if there was another branch of Cherry Heart that opened elsewhere that she just wasn't aware of, but she also didn't know of a "Magnolia" to begin with. Her mind abuzz with questions, the girl snapped back with a little jump as she heard Masaru speak back up again. As he seemed intent on keeping the quarreling between the two, Masaru left to go towards the others before Fen could manage to actually ask any her questions. Unsure of what to do about her own predicament now, the girl followed after both him and Trevor as she would now otherwise be on her own. Glad to see that the two had settled down, Fen was only made even more confused as she felt - and saw in Trevor's case - magic. There was something off to her about the latter's magic, though she couldn't quite place what it was about it. Then there was Masaru, who she could only tell there was something magical about him and that it felt decidedly similar - if only a little different - in base concept to hers. That it seemed that he was still from a Cherry Heart she had no idea about only seemed more likely if still completely bizarre an idea to her. The confusion clear on her face, but not wanting to ask questions to him now that he was preoccupied in trying to keep the others from fighting, Fen looked over to the two combatants. "Maybe uh, yeah, no fighting. That'd be bad. Instead we could..." The girl looked over to see that Melissa and the amorphous mass were heading elsewhere - a direction she knew she was being drawn towards by something. "Maybe we could follow them? They seem to be going towards answers?" Hopefully that's what it was. Fen wasn't quite sure if she could handle much more confusion at the moment.
  17. Ryia's initial plan had succeeded and the humanoid slime was now focused on her. However, the next part of the plan - keeping the attention and staying safe - was far trickier. The creature lashed out at her with its newly reformed arm and so to keep herself from harm the girl raised her shield up on instinct. The girl grunted, a look of shock crossing her face as she was met with a surprising amount of force from the living slime. Getting into a test of strength with the creature, Ryia pulled back her shield arm. Though it was a fruitless effort as the slime creature seemed to be intent on pulling her shield closer to it and the two entered a stalemate, even in strength. Of course, Ryia was sure that this was a fight she would eventually lose and so she attempted to lop off the creature's arm. As a result of the awkward angle she was striking from, the girl's blade didn't carry as much force as before and so it wasn't able to sever it. Grimacing, Ryia then opted for her next idea. Unclasping her shield the girl let it fall to the ground, before gripping her sword with both hands and bringing the blade down against the arm, severing it once more. Now without a shield, Ryia stepped to the side, getting on the side of the slime monster opposite of its reforming arm. Then, the girl made way to attack against the creature again. She didn't have enough strength to slice straight through the monster but she figured she might stand a chance if she could cut it down piece by piece and work her way down that way. And if nothing else, it would still keep its attention distracted on her while the others managed to clean up the smaller ones. So, striking diagonally upward against the creature's "head" the girl managed to lop off part of it with relative ease. As she did, Ackrin appeared behind the creature, lobbing stones at it more as a means to distract and confuse it then anything else - the attack of which simply sank harmlessly into the slime creature. The girl got back, to taking a defensive stance, watching as the pieces of slime were moving back towards the creature, likely to help reform it once again.
  18. Lana listened to Chris as he explained his meeting with Leo, her face showing visible annoyance as he mentioned the man giving him a fake coin. As a girl who held money first and foremost in the world she couldn't forgive anyone who tried to get by with just fake money. With her impression of him immediately soured, the girl nodded along as Chris continued to explain his own experience with the man, saying, "you've got a point there. After all, nothing's going to stop me from reaching the bottom at all! Honestly, myth or not I'm sure there's still a bunch of riches and things that you could find in the dungeon. So I don't know why anyone who's got the skills and not a noble wouldn't look for a lucky break in it. I mean sure it's like gross and kind of dangerous and I wish I had never seen a rat that big, but it's also free." The girl nodded as she said this, as if to confirm to herself. Smiling over to Chris she said, "of course! We can't have any of this talk of what is or isn't at the bottom. Because for sure there's something at the bottom. Be it riches, glory and all powerful wish! Anything and everything! And we're going to be the ones to find it!" As the girl exclaimed this, psyching herself up, she paused and thought for a moment before saying, "I should've waited for Estelle to say that...well, I'll just go over it again when she gets back. For now, let's enjoy some bacon and then some dungeoning."
  19. Stella, in spite of her agreement to this was still feeling nervous. It was her first time in, well, forever that she had actually hung out with someone without Kelsey being involved in some way. Add to that it wasn't just Blossom but apparently her sister as well, making Stella even more nervous about the whole ordeal. As Blossom seemed to wait for her to lead the way, Stella nodded and decided to do just that, making her way out of the classroom before realizing she didn't have any idea where it was she was supposed to be going. And so, after a moments pause once again, the girl let Blossom take the lead and followed her to the meeting place. As they finally met up with the girl, Stella grimaced and took a step back as if to hide behind Blossom from the other person they met up with. The girl shook her head at Tor's greeting saying, "I'm, I'm really not the fighting type." Not to mention she was pretty sure that Tor was the one who started the fight in the first place, so Stella was very much not willing to be the instigator this time as well. As she warily looked at the tiger woman, her attention was soon directed towards Diantha, Blossom's sister. As the woman greeted her, Stella eased up, shaking her head again. "Ah, no. Bianca's a different - I'm just her partner for a class project. We got assigned one today. My name's Stella. I was invited here but I'm sorry if I'm intruding on any of your plans."
  20. Ryia trudged through the water, her face taking on a rather displeasured expression as it became deeper and more difficult to wade through. The girl didn't usually mind getting dirty when they were traveling from one place to another, but the unpleasantness that came with water soaking and filling her metal boots was certainly an exception to that. However, eventually the group stopped as Keres and Madelyn seemed to have an idea to make their trek easier. With the water presumably being parted out of the way, Ryia immediately took a defensive posture as Keres mentioned something not being water. Drawing out her scimitar and shield, the girl looked to see that there was suddenly a slime creature forming in front of her. The creature, while not taller than her, was still fairly imposing to her, as it slowly reached out its slimy arms towards her and Reinaan. The two of them acted quickly, him slashing his polearm and her her sword into both of the creature's arms. Though she took longer and more effort to cleave through it, she eventually managed to split the arm off from the body only for it to slowly move back towards the main body. Ryia stepped closer, looking back to see that Reinaan had engaged something behind them - more slimes. Panic briefly set in as she saw the foes positioned between herself, Reinaan and the mages. Though as he managed to strike one down, she simply had to believe that the draken could manage the other three as they were now converging on him. As a result, Ryia decided to focus her efforts on the one in front of them, thinking it would be bad if both of them showed their backs to the largest of them. The girl swung her scimitar into the creature's head - or head area. The blade managed to get through some of the slime but she couldn't push it any further and make any real cut into it as she was. Pulling the blade back the girl moved to the creature's side, not showing her back to the other three slimes and being able to watch them as well. Trying to think of what to do next, the girl grimaced as it seemed that the arm that Reinaan had originally lopped off was slowly reforming.
  21. Fen looked to the floor as the purple haired man shouted back grumpily, clearly upset by both her and likely life in general. Looking then to the side the girl said, "r-right yeah, stupid question. Sorry." In spite of this apology, she didn't really feel like her question was that off the mark as he actually did seem to know where they were, but she figured that he needed all the wins he could get in his day. All the same as he was the only one who seemed to know where they were and so she felt the urge to follow him, but was interrupted by a horrific multi-voiced question coming from the rest of the group. The girl looked surprised at the person, as their form seemed to be anything less than stable, with her surprise turning to concern. As another girl had walked up to assist the person in their dilemma, Fen looked over to them giving a short bow saying, "and I'm Fen Yi. I do hope that we can figure out what's um, going on with you." After her introduction, the girl was then startled once more by the sudden and loud "hiya!" Looking over to the boy, who seemed friendly enough, after he introduced himself the girl gave a small bow. "Hello um, Masaru. My name is Fen Yi, or just Fen is fine." The girl blinked for a moment, feeling a sudden sense of deja vu, and adding, "a pleasure to meet you. Too." After the more flamboyantly dressed man, Trevor, addressed Masaru Fen followed up saying, "ah, yes, I'm one myself too. Yeah. I do ice things and help people." Fen paused again, briefly glancing over as the demon from before got into an altercation with one of the others who had just appeared. Fen had a look of concern across her face, thinking that there was likely some kind of misunderstanding between the two - a scenario that she wasn't entirely unfamiliar with - and felt the need to intervene. On the flip side, however, the self proclaimed demon man seemed to enjoy being kicked into a tree - a clear improvement from his previous grouchy expression - so far be it from her to get in the way of his hobbies. So it was probably best to let the two of them work it out themselves. At least for now. And so her concern easing a bit, she looked back over to Masaru. "I'm uh, not super great at noticing magic either, outside of a vague sense. But there was someone in my guild who could tell what someone's magic was just by looking at them. So I uh, take it your a magician or wizard of some kind too?"
  22. Lana smiled at Hector as he mentioned the food saying, "no girl can resist a plate of bacon in the morning." As the man left, she gave a confused look over to Leo as he tried to dissuade her from continuing her dungeoning business. She didn't really understand why he said what he did, but she at least already knew that she was getting something from the dungeon. Which meant there was probably more things she could find there of even more value then just explosive powder! And that meant, Spark or no Spark she'd be rich in no time! The girl didn't dwell on it for too long, though, as the man quickly left making her both confused again yet giggly at his exiting remark. Not soon after, Chris came back having a minor run in with Leo, leaving the former seeming annoyed by the whole thing. As he sat down next to her, Lana raised an eyebrow at Chris's mention of something weird going on, curious to know more. Though, with his question coming first she smiled saying, "nothing much. He just said I was lovely and wanted to go hang out or something. Was curious about what I was doing, though he didn't seem to really care about the Dungeon all that much. If anything, he seemed to really not like the idea of me going in there at all, think it's a waste and all." The girl paused and thought about it some more again before smiling still saying, "well it is dangerous, so maybe he was just trying to keep me safe." Looking back to Chris directly the girl asked, "you two know each other?" As Chris then went to pay for her food the girl smiled even brighter at him, sparkles clear in her eyes as she said, "you know, maybe I was wrong about you. You're a real gentleman Chris."
  23. Fen blinked. She couldn't quite tell what had just happened. She was standing in the exact same position she had been the moment earlier, pan still in her hand. Though she wasn't quite sure if "moment" was the correct measure of time. But when last she remembered she working on lunch in the base of Cherry Hear and then...something happened over a period that felt like eternity and zero. And now she was standing here. An area that didn't look any bit familiar to her. Blinking again, she had to continue doing so as she was entirely overloaded by all the sights around her. The flashing light, the moving images, the buildings that sprawled higher into the sky then any she could remember. The girl felt a bit dizzy, stumbling about a bit before she looked downwards to see benches and flower beds. Something she could actually process. That was good to know. After taking a few seconds more of taking in the scenery, the girl looked at the pan in her hand. Disappointment immediately followed as she noted that the food she had been making was nowhere to be seen. Looking around again, the girl jumped a bit in shock as she noticed several other people standing quite close to her and being of seemingly all walks of life. "Um, uh..." She started to try saying something to the sudden new crowd of people before her attention was directed towards a sudden splashing noise. Looking around, the girl stepped back as she the large impressive statue of a dragon spewing water out of its mouth. The girl looked at it curiously, figuring that the dragon was the likeness of some kind of water dragon but clearly looking different then the one she could recall. The girl shook her head, putting away what it was she was looking at in the back of her mind and instead trying to figure out what it was that caught her attention. Now that she looked it at it she realized that the sound of running water coming from it had always been there, she just hadn't been paying attention to it. Instead, she looked downwards seeing a small fish person frolicking around in the water. Curious, the girl examined him as he continued to bound up the statue, unsure of what to make of them. They were certainly the most out of place looking of the group, but Fen was startled again as the fish called out to them realizing that she had probably been very rude just staring like that. Clearing her throat, the girl said, "ah, well, I was uh, hoping you...well," she looked back to everyone else. She had been speaking at a normal volume, so it was likely the fish person couldn't hear her anyway. "Well, if any of you knew where we were. It's my first time being in some place so...um, this..." She gestured with her frying pan towards the buildings and their various neon signs, "bright?"
  24. Having gotten off the bus and parting ways with the other students, Tsubasa couldn't help but feel an itch to do something in the back of her head after starting her walk home. She tried to figure out what it was, realizing that it was probably something as a result of the beach trip. As she thought more and more on it, the girl realized what it was, brightening up as she started to walk with more purpose. Minutes later, she came out of a nearby supermarket, now kicking and juggling around one of her brand new hacky sacks. A big smile on her face she nodded saying, "man it's been a while. Maybe I should get some cans too." With that, the girl walked her way home with her new found sport ball. Walking into class the next day, Tsubasa still seemed to be kicking a hacky sack around, clearly invested in this pastime. However, once she got through the door the girl caught it with her hands before walking towards walking to the desk of one lightning based student. "Yo, Omuko, here ya go." The girl placed the hacky sack onto the girl's desk before smiling. "If you ever want a rematch or anything." With that Tsubasa went back to her desk, leaning back and pulling out her phone to kill some time. It didn't take long, however, for the class to begin with a new teacher. As the man introduced himself, he as well informed them that Emi would no longer be showing up to class and that they had a new student in her place. Upon hearing this, Tsubasa tried to put a name to a face but did not for the life of her remember who this Emi person was at all, and so it didn't particularly matter to her that they had apparently dropped out. And instead they got a girl who could change colors! Tsubasa marveled at the girl, though in quite the same way someone would a magic trick, and were it not for the small verbal exchange between the dog and monkey man, Tsubasa might've asked her to change colors again. But instead, because that had happened, a coy grin appeared on the cat's face as she said, "ah what's the matter Dog Breath. Someone need a scratch behind the ear?"
